Opis:
Education is an important element that cannot be neglected or omitted in a conscious and responsible society. This is a prerequisite for thinking about the country’s development in the economic and social spheres. The educational system is subject to frequent changes and turmoil in Poland, which are related to politicians’ decisions. At present, the Polish educational system introduces a significant reform. The purpose of this article is to analyze the responses of the surveyed teachers who participated in the study on the predicted effects of the changes. The publication also contains a number of postulates whose introduction may contribute to a significant improvement of the education system in Poland.

Preceded by the debate, the 2016 implementation of the school reform in Poland brought serious organisational and program changes. These changes also concern entrepreneurship education, therefore the subject of the article is the discussion on the proposals of the Ministry of Education regarding changes to the school system, in the context of yet another comprehensive organisational and program reform of the Polish education system. The primary goal of the paper is to present the direction of change, based on the current research and discussions conducted by various forums. The author’s claims in this regard are based not only on his reflections but also on the voices presented by the participants of Kraków entrepreneurship conferences and conventions of teachers, as well as by the authors of the papers included in the previous volumes of this annual. Under the limited number of hours dedicated to the teaching of entrepreneurship in post-primary schools in general education, that is, compulsory for all pupils, the most important is the careful selection of objectives and content of entrepreneurship education. The article concludes with the presentation of the essential conditions influencing the success of the implementation of changes, mainly related to the appropriate preparation of entrepreneurship teachers.

The key issue of this article is inclusive education in connection with the formal and legal aspects of students’ safety when they are staying in educational institutions. In the first part, author describes the basic assumptions of the social model of education and it’s international conditions, also referring to solutions that have been recently implemented in the Polish education system. The second part indicates the problems that may be met by educational institutions and teachers trying to achieve a state of full inclusion. They relate to the school’s caring function in terms of security guarantees. The diversity of student population, especially wide range of educational needs may make it impossible for teachers to develop specific approach to individual pupil. It’s caused by formal items, largely determined by the financial situation of particular local government units.

The paper offers an insight into Polish migrants’ perceptions of the English education system and how these may impact on their future migration decisions. The study is based on interviews with Polish parents living in England. First, the author discusses the English education system and explains how disparate it is from the Polish one. Next, Polish migrants’ perceptions of the English education system are discussed. The Polish system is described as promoting higher academic standards, more discipline and a stronger work ethic. In the final section, the author argues that differences between the two systems complicate the issue of prospective return, with many parents fearing their children would not be able to (re‑) enter the Polish education system. Therefore, to Polish parents living in England schooling is a significant factor in making decisions regarding settlement in the UK.

Aim: Introducing professionalization of the teaching profession specificity and the stages of this process in the United States in the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the institutionalization of education for this professional group. Methods: An analysis of source and journalistic materials directly related to the discussed issues. Results: A reconstruction of the standards of teacher education in the initial stages of its development, with a view to their cultural and social context, which was not only their background, but also largely determined their course. Conclusion: Education and training constituted a superior value for a large part of the society and a group of political decision-makers. Education was perceived as a specific embodiment of the ideal of the American Republic and a guarantor of its prosperity. However, the policy of educating teachers implemented in practice, including organizational solutions adopted by universities that introduced this education in the second half of the nineteenth century, indicate a lack of coherence between declarations and reality. On the other hand, the social and cultural changes in the United States after World War I and the related change in the perception of the role of teachers, favored the emergence of pedagogy as a research discipline, which can be considered the culmination of the professionalization process of this profession in the USA.

One of the key pillars of total defence is an increased social resilience to aggression, which is inextricably linked to an adequate model of security education. Poland’s security in the 21st century is based on the state’s military capacity and on the military and political alliances formed by decision-makers. However, this model of building security is not sufficient in the face of constantly changing and evolving security threats and challenges. Therefore, security should be based not only on a hard dimension, but also on a soft one, whose main pillar is security education. The idea of an effective model of security education is that, apart from giving young people theoretical knowledge, it is necessary to instil in them practical skills related to responding in crisis situations, including situations posing a threat to human health and life. Security education should constitute the first stage in training society in total defence. The educational model currently functioning in Poland definitely needs to be reformed.

This paper concerns the issue of management and assessment of the aviation training process, which takes into account the elements changing over time: the state of training, its level, quality and mechanisms rationalising the organisational activities and costs. The elements of the complex management system of the aviation training process, which includes probabilistic models for projecting the reliable, safe and effective aviation training, taking into account the requirements imposed by rules, standards and regulations of civil and military aviation, were discussed. In general, its structure, internal modules and exemplary tables of the analysis and assessment of the aviation personnel updates and the validity of permissible breaks during flight by aviation personnel. A schematic diagram of introducing the input data, main parameters, statistical data and expected results in the form of the training schedule, the schedule of the aircraft necessary moving, indicators of the training analysis and assessment, safety and reliability, were mentioned. The mathematical notations of input data and examples of the offered training indicator of aviation personnel were presented. The criterion global function, which exposes the maximisation of the aviation personnel training, as well as the maximisation of the performed flying time of a given type of aircraft, and the minimisation of operating costs of the specific aviation training, was determined. The paper was completed with a conclusion that shows the advantages of the proposed complex management system of the aviation training process.

Puentę artykułu stanowi diagnoza obecnej sytuacji szkolnictwa pożarniczego wsparta wnioskami z rozprawy doktorskiej autora.
In the present paper the author tries to describe the connections between Polish fire education system and various educational ideologies, so characteristic for social and economic situation of Poland before and after 1989 year. The paper begins with the deep analysis of the phenomenon of educational strategy seen in the context of educational system transformation, which is then followed by main study. The article ends with the author’s diagnosis of the present situation of Polish fire education system, supported by conclusions taken from the author’s doctor’s thesis.

This article analizes the causes of a dissonance between significant collective civilizational progress and injudicious individual choice. To show these causes, five basic hypotheses are presented, based on inter-disciplinary analyses : viz. political manipulation, media manipulation, an ineffective education system, inadequate scientific communication, and misunderstanding. The possibility of constructing social consensus and harmony can be perceived in the general education of knowledgable and responsible teachers on all levels and spheres of education, who will be able to explain the complexity of the world and transform the educational system.

The analysis provided in this article aims to explain and disclose the processes that have influenced the education system in Mexico since the Aztec Empire, until the presidency of Enrique Peña Nieto. One of the issues presented in this paper is relation established by political party PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) who rules Mexico for more than 70 years and institutions responsible for education, leading to centralization. The consequence of these processes is the attempt to introduce education reform by the government Enrique Peña Nieto. Without a doubt, the most important question asked in this article is „why education reform causes so many emotions among the teachers, especially members of the union and their associating organizations?”.

The article gives a general view of the actual situation and the potential importance that the education factor plays in the formation and development of human resources in Albania, based on the Albanian education system applied as well as the strategies undertaken regarding the development of human resources by transforming it in an important asset and an unstoppable source of values for all the society. In particular, the article is focused in analyzing and evaluating the link between the level of human resources education and some of the socio-economic factors supposed to influence on it. The study is based on the data gathered through usage of the questionnaire tool by distributing 500 of them in the main cities of Albania. By applying statistical analysis, Chi-Square Tests and correlation coefficients on the data gathered it came out that individuals with (at least) university education have a higher proportion of a combined portfolio mostly in investments like treasury bonds and real estate.The behavior of the Albanian citizens towards the investment in human capital is noticeably determined by the individual level of education, with the level of importance 0, 01 which means a 99% probability in significance and the calculation of the correlation coefficient between the investment in human capital and the education is 98% important.

Opis:
This article shows specifics of the transition from conventional educational practice to the Flipped classroom model in modern education system. It is focused on professors’ perception of the video-based teaching approach. Conducted sociological survey involves the teaching staff from one European and one Russian university, namely the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and Ural Federal University (URFU). The survey investigated professors’ awareness of the Inverted classroom, their readiness to employ it and prime barriers they face. Results reveal that teachers from Russia have less information about the model and practically do not embed it in the education arrangement comparing to professors from Finland. Lack of time, lack of support and assistance are shown to be the prime barriers preventing them from fl ipped classroom implementation. Drawn implications are of use for the integration of the fl ipped classroom.

In the first part of the article the author confers on the changes that were made to the general education system in the city state of Berlin. Subsequently, he characterized the taught subjects that comprehend the aims and contents of the general technical education in secondary schools. The main part of the article was preceded by a short note on the history of the city.

The main aim of the article is to present selected international education programmes implemented in Poland (International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, International General Certificate of Secondary Education) in the context of educational change. The background of the analyses is the metamorphoses in the Polish education system after the period of political transformation. Literature in the field of education policy, theory of educational systems, normative documents of educational law, European Union directives and programme documents of international organizations conducting and accrediting IB, AP, and IGCSE programmes were used for the research. The author argues that the educational change that took place after 1989 in the organization and structure of the education system made it possible to implement international education programmes and contributed to the democratization and socialization of the Polish education system. Currently, international education programmes constitute an attractive educational offer that provides a chance for continuing education at renowned foreign universities, makes it possible to efficiently find oneself on the global labour market, and also prepares young people to be active members of civil society, guided by such values of political and social life as respect for human rights, democracy, solidarity, freedom of speech, and tolerance.

Opis:
The text presents inclusive education in the aspect of selected legal and definitional provisions, proposed assumptions and assumed effects. Particular attention is focused on arguments “for,” i.e., supporting the realization and practical implementation of the inclusive education concept to the Polish education system, but there are also counterarguments demonstrating that there are barriers to implementing the analyzed activities. Additionally, the text provides information regarding the possible recipients of inclusive education and selected statistical data concerning some groups of entities included in inclusive education. The general conclusion, however, refers to the perception of inclusive education as corresponding to the requirements of contemporary civilization, the current level of social development and international and domestic legal provisions regarding the rights of people regardless of their level of functioning or the barriers resulting from their biopsychical conditions.
W tekście została przedstawiona edukacja włączająca w aspekcie wybranych unormowań prawnych, definicyjnych, postulowanych założeń i zakładanych efektów. Podano argumenty przemawiające za wdrażaniem edukacji włączającej oraz czynniki mogące stanowić barierę w działaniach na rzecz praktycznej realizacji idei edukacji włączającej w naszym kraju. Szczególna uwaga jest skoncentrowana na argumentach przemawiających pozytywnie, „za” realizacją i praktycznym wdrażaniem koncepcji edukacji włączającej do polskiego sys¬temu oświaty, ale też obejmuje kontrargumenty świadczące o istniejących barierach wobec analizowanych działań. Podano ponadto możliwych adresatów edukacji włączającej i wybrane dane statystyczne wobec niektórych grup podmiotów objętych edukacją włączającą. Generalna konkluzja natomiast odnosi się do percepcji edukacji włączającej jako korespondującej z wymogami współczesnej cywilizacji, aktualnego poziomu rozwoju społecznego i unormowaniami międzynarodowymi oraz kra¬jowymi na temat praw przysługujących ludziom bez względu na prezentowany poziom funkcjonowania czy doświadczane bariery wynikające z uwarunkowań biopsychicznych.

Opis:
Programmes of formal education establish a systematic transfer of knowledge as well as universal values from one generation to another. By that, they ensure the survival of social structures, prevent radical disruptions in their continuity, and serve as basis for general development of a society. Their content and didactic arrangements include interweaving of two basic aspects: the cognitive one and the one related to vzgoja (i.e. upbringing, moral/value education etc.). The latter aims to achieve the ideals of a tolerant, just and lifelong learning society, but seems to be facing increasing challenges, mainly emerging from neoliberal capitalist mentality. Art history as a school subject area in elementary and secondary education may provide an insight beneath the surface of historical events. Thus, it helps develop a critical view towards them and consequently towards the present real-life situations, which contributes to ascending the taxonomic scale of conative educational goals.

This paper seeks to answer the question why Finland is considered to have one of the best education systems in the world. The author aims at providing a descriptive case study of Finland in comparison to the Polish educational system with some reference to other Western countries. The world first noticed Finland following the release of PISA results in 2001. Yet, PISA overview is just a starting point for this case study. The paper analyses different social, economic and political factors which, in the author’s opinion, contributed the most to the Finnish success in education. Major arguments for the Finnish success are preceded by an overview of educational reforms from the 1950s until the present. The author argues that the remarkably high social status of teachers, their autonomy and great qualifications,consistency in educational reforms which offer high quality, equity and decentralization are the primary reasons for Finland’s global success. All of the above achievements are compared to Poland’s current situation in education.

After the alarming findings of NIK’s audit at ten schools in the Lubuskie Region (none of the audited schools organised classes in compliance with the principles of mental work hygiene, nor provided full safety to students), NIK decided to conduct a wider audit that covered the whole country. It comprised 7,000 out of 19,000 state schools at the primary and middle level. Such a broad scope makes it one of biggest audits in the history of NIK. Unfortunately, the audit confirmed the results of the audit conducted in the Lubuskie Region. The negligence, whose effects frequently posed a threat to the health or even to the life of students, most often were due to basic errors in the management of state schools.

The paper presents the dynamic development of nanotechnologies in the world and the educational demand for scientists, engineers and didactic staff. Proposed and created forms of education and development related to nanotechnology are shown as well. Special attention is paid to characteristic educational systems in the world leading economies in the field of nanotechnology, mainly in the United States, Japan and EU countries. Compared to these countries, the situation in Poland within education and training in this domain is described.
W artykule przedstawiono dynamikę rozwoju nanotechnologii na świecie, związane z tym potrzeby kształcenia naukowców, inżynierów oraz kadry dydaktycznej, a także proponowane i rozwijane formy kształcenia i doskonalenia w tej dziedzinie. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na charakterystyczne systemy edukacyjne w wiodących na świecie gospodarkach w rozwoju nanotechnologii - Stanach Zjednoczonych, Japonii i wybranych krajach Unii Europejskiej. Na tym tle scharakteryzowano sytuację w zakresie kształcenia i szkolenia w dziedzinie nanotechnologii w Polsce.

Over the centuries, mankind has undergone a great revolution, but not before the pace of change was not as deep and fast as it is now. The process of globalization, the disappearance of borders, integration of the countries of Europe, the growing number of multi-ethnic states that the process of unification in the economy and the occurrence of different values underlines the importance of multiculturalism. For centuries, different cultures mutually displaced, destroy, seek to dominate and expansion and single action aimed at mutual understanding were not effective. But a different world is possible. Lead to a different way in the economy, politics but also and above all in the culture. And it is intercultural education has lead to the understanding of cultural differences – from the subcultures in their own communities to the culture of remote communities, prepare to interact and strengthen their own identity. Cooperation with representatives of the different cultures of the global world is a very important and responsible task for the modern system of education aimed at preparing the public to new challenges. They consist in building a global culture, to deepen their own identity of individuals, groups and communities by promoting tolerance and dialogue, because of globalization, despite the trend towards integration and unification of people from all over the world, our actions and choices are determined by history, tradition and the culture in which we were raised and grew up. Intercultural education includes a dialogue, so that creates a culture that results in contact with others. This dialogue is the basis of all culture and dialogue is a way to co-existence of cultures and intercultural education and dialogue is a service to the dignity of man.

The Internet has evolved from connecting people and later videos, photos, and text to more recently physical objects. Using sensors, physical objects can “talk” (transmit data) to each other and even command each other to perform a physical act. As things and people become more connected, such objects will also become part of social net-works, much in the same way that people tag photos on Facebook. In this way, the value of such objects will increase for both research and learning. The IOT and Cloud computing technologies can provide solutions for the above-mentioned problems in the education system. Cloud computing enables users to control and access data via the Internet. The main users of a typical higher education cloud include students, faculty, administrative staff, Examination Branch and Admission Branch. All the main users of the institution are connected to the cloud. Separate login is provided for all the users for their respective work[12]. Teachers can upload their class Tutorials, assignments, and tests on the cloud server which students will be able to access all the teaching material provided by the teachers via the Internet using computers and other electronic devices both at home and college and 24X7. This paper focuses on the integration of Cloud and IOT for the education system. Connected de-vices can help make life easier for students with special needs. Many of the daydreams for IOT in education involve students taking advantage of new technologies to complete cool new projects.

Opis:
Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest rzeczywiste – nie tylko formalne, ale i faktualne – usytuowanie etyki jako przedmiotu szkolnego w strukturze nadzorczo-zarządczo-organizacyjnej polskiego systemu edukacji. Celem badawczym tego tekstu jest wykazanie, za pomocą argumentacji opartej na rodzimej i zagranicznej literaturze naukowej, opiniotwórczych publikatorach oraz autorskiej eksploracji, że etyka jest – nie wiedzieć czemu – jedynym przedmiotem w systemie oświaty w Polsce, którego rachityczno-mgławicowy status można określić jako instytucjonalne rozproszenie lub inaczej jako dyspersyjną (nie)obecność. Metodologiczne instrumentarium mojej pracy stanowią komplementarne wobec siebie metody analizy i syntezy źródeł oraz danych, metoda analizy komparatystycznej, metoda interpretacji kontekstowej, metoda konstruktywistyczna oraz metoda egzemplifikacji. Linia argumentacyjna artykułu wiedzie kolejno od wykazania i analizy usytuowania etyki w obowiązującym w Polsce systemie prawno-oświatowym z jego konsekwencjami dla „ordopraktycznego” funkcjonowania etyki w realiach polskiej szkoły. W kolejnym kroku omawiam zagadnienie asynchronicznej dyferencjacji domeny etycznej w systemie oświaty, która powoduje jej parcelację i rozpad pomiędzy trzy nieskoordynowane ze sobą dziedziny: przedmiotowe, okazjonalne treści etyczne, wychowanie moralne oraz właściwe lekcje etyki. Oś artykułu stanowią rozważania poświęcone piwotalnemu charakterowi etyki w realiach polskiej edukacji. Najpoważniejszą jego konsekwencją jest jej zaledwie erzacowy status, obejmujący nie tylko prawo i uzus szkolny, ale również odbiór społeczny.
The subject of this article is the actual – not only formal, but also factual – location of ethics as a school subject in the supervisory, managerial and organisational structure of the Polish education system. The research aim of the text is to argue – based on the domestic and foreign scientific literature, opinion-forming publications, and the author’s own work – that ethics is for some reason the only subject in the Polish education system whose rachitic and nebulous status can be described as institutional dispersion, or in other words, as dispersive (in)presence. The methodological instrumentarium of my paper consists of complementary methods of analysis and synthesis of sources and data, the method of comparative analysis, the method of contextual interpretation, the constructivist method and the method of exemplification. The line of argumentation of the article leads from demonstrating and analysing the location of ethics in the legal and education systems in force in Poland, with its consequences for the “ordopractic” functioning of ethics in the realities of Polish schools. In the next step, I discuss the issue of asynchronously differentiating the ethical domain in the education system, which causes it to be parcelled out and disintegrated between three uncoordinated domains: the subject matter, occasional ethical content, moral education and ethics lessons proper. The main line of argumentation of the article is the pivotal nature of ethics in Polish education. Its most serious consequence is its merely ersatz status, involving not only law and school usus, but also public perception.

Artykuł prezentuje, jakie miejsce w systemie oświaty zajmuje aktywność społeczna uczniów w formie wolontariatu zarówno na terenie szkoły, jak i w organizacjach pozarządowych działającymi poza nią. W dalszej części przedstawione są problemy oraz dylematy dotyczące wolontariatu uczniów, związane z systemowym docenianiem wolontariatu uczniów podczas rekrutacji do szkół ponadpodstawowych.
The article presents the role in the education system of student social activities based on volunteering, taking place both at school and outside in non-governmental organizations. Further, problems and dilemmas concerning student volunteering and related to the system recognition of these activities during recruitment to secondary schools are also discussed.

Pozycja Wydziału wynika przede wszystkim z prowadzonej działalności naukowej, a prowadzone tu badania mają najczęściej charakter interdyscyplinarny. Dla zapewnienia ich odpowiedniej jakości niezbędna jest wysoko wykwalifikowana kadra, spełniająca również oczekiwania przemysłu. Stąd konieczność rozwoju specjalizacji gwarantujących wysoki poziom naukowy i zawodowy przyszłych specjalistów. W artykule przedstawiono krótko historię Wydziału. Scharakteryzowano działania zmierzające do wykreowania zakresu specjalizacji ekonomiki i organizacji górnictwa. Przedstawiono stan aktualny oraz perspektywy rozwoju mając na uwadze działalność naukową i potrzeby przemysłu surowcowego.
Faculty's position results mainly from its scientific activity, and the research carried here is most often interdisciplinary. To ensure their appropriate quality, highly qualified staff are needed, which also meets the expectations of the industry. Hence the need to develop specializations that guarantee a high level of scientific and professional future specialists. The article briefly presents the history of the Faculty. Actions to create a range of specialization in mining economics and organization have been characterized. The current state and development prospects were presented, taking into account the scientific activity and the needs of the raw materials industry.

This article applies to educational tasks of local government. The paper presents the growing importance of local government. Especially the long time is showing the biggest changes in educational tasks. Trends in decentralization started with the transformation of the political system. The main purpose of this article is to show areas of changes in the implementation of educational tasks by local authorities. Over the last (about)30 years big changes have made in education. They fit into the process of political transformation and are made primarily in the spirit of the principles of decentralization and subsidiarity. Local government units have taken over most public schools and educational institutions. Surely we can say, that in the current state of the law, local government education is a major segment of the education system. It should be noted, that the educational tasks of local government are also the tasks of the state. It seems, that the major challenges currently facing local government, are a phenomenon of privatization of educational tasks and provide adequate income for their implementation.
Artykuł ukazuje główne zmiany, które zaszły w okresie od lat 90-poprzedniego wieku w procesie realizacji przez samorząd terytorialny oświatowych zadań publicznych. Podkreślono, że wraz z rozwojem samorządu terytorialnego następowało wzmacnianie jego pozycji i stopnia odpowiedzialności za realizację zadań. Tendencje decentralizacyjne zapoczątkowane wraz z transformacja ustrojową nasilają się z czasem. Nakłada się na nie wynikający z zasady subsydiarności (pomocniczości) podział zadań i kompetencji pomiędzy szczeble samorządu jak też pomiędzy samorząd, a administrację rządową. Liczne zmiany organizacyjne i prawne doprowadziły do stosunkowo stabilnego podziału zadań oświatowych. Ostatnie reformy zainicjowane w 2016 roku to kolejny, gruntowny etap zmian. Struktura systemu ulega przebudowie, a koszty reformy w znacznym stopniu ponosi samorząd.

Opis:
Teaching children and youth with disabilities is an integral part of the education system in Poland. In publication is provided selected issues from the many legal instruments pertaining to the principles of the organization of special education pupils with a disability in the aspects of: 1) the strategy deciding on equalization of educational opportunities of disabled people, 2) ensuring conditions for learning by preschool and school chosen by the parents, 3) implementation of special education on the basis of quantitative analysis SIO Ministry of National Education. This is in close connection with the creation of legal arrangements giving the chance to earn an adequate education and equal participation in the life of people with disabilities. Based on the analysis of desk research/quantitative data obtained from of Educational Information System (SIO), showing that in the school year 2013–2014 in all kinds of kindergartens and schools has educated a total of 135 506 pupils with various disabilities. Public primary schools were the most frequently chosen for childrens: with low vision (~43.4%), hearing impaired (~41.4%) with autism/ Asperger’s Syndrome (~39.4%), with movement problems (~39%), the blind (~19.8%), with multiple disabilities (~16%), deaf (~12.5%). While the a total of students (135 506) with a disability education in mainstream secondary schools continued 7 222 (approximately 5,3%) of students. In special secondary schools continued training 13 027 (approximately 10%) of the students. Students with the ruling about the need for special education due to different of disability have the right to education at all levels of education in the school chosen by the parents, but not all graduates in gymnasiums are enrolled high schools.

The United States of America (the USA) is one of the leading leaders in economic and political terms in the world. It can be argued that the reason for this is the individual characteristics of American society, namely, such deeply rooted qualities as, self-confidence, perseverance and audacity to discover new things. This may certainly be attributed to the American system of education and its teaching objectives. In this research paper, the author presents the main assumptions of the U.S. education system.

Purpose. Education development is to provide for the formation of ecologically responsible lifelong behaviour, formation of an integral (holistic), interdisciplinary approach in learning and knowing necessary for solving current global problems and advancement to the balanced, ecologically safe and economically stable future.

The article presents the history of the military higher education system, which is connected to the shaping of the Polish statehood as well as its present state. The structure of this type of education system was dependent on the e ectiveness of socio-economic, political and military activities of public authorities. However, it is only the November Uprising which is generally associated with the revolt of the o cers from the O cer Cadets School [Szkoła Podchorazych] in Warsaw. The changes which occur within the military education system on account of its adjustment to the requirements of the Act “Law on higher education” of 27 June 2005 are very positive. They accommodate military higher education institutions to the public system of higher education, they in uence the development and the quality of education in these institutions, they obliged them to implement the regulations arising from the National Quali cations Framework and to observe all the procedures arising from the legislations which are enacted in the domain of higher education by the competent public authorities.

Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie głównych procesów reformowania węgierskiego systemu edukacji po 2010 r. i porównanie ich z reformą w polskim systemie oświaty, prowadzonej po 2015 r. Obydwa systemy oświaty mają wspól- ne cechy i pochodzenie, ale po upadku komunizmu rozwijały się inaczej. Jednak możemy zaobserwować wiele podobieństw w zakresie zmianach wprowadzanych w ostatnich latach. Najważniejszy wśród nich jest sposób jak te reformy zostały przygotowane i wdrożone. W obu przypadkach dominująca grupa polityczna postanowiła stworzyć oświatę w taki sposób, aby odpowiadała ich światopoglądowi i potrzebom politycznym.
The aim of this study is to present the main features of the reform process in the Hungarian education system after 2010 and comparing it to the Polish education reform started in 2015. The analyzed education systems had common characteristics but since the fall of Communism they have developed differently. Nevertheless, we can observe several significant similarities in comparing the two recent reforms, the most prominent among them are the ways in which the reforms were prepared and implemented. In both cases, a dominant group with sufficient political powers decided to form the national education system in order to correspond to their worldview and political needs.

Social media is a Web 2.0 platform that allows to share content and information without the limitations of time and space. Social media networks have managed to become a part of today's lifestyle and are increasingly gaining importance when viewed from a state perspective. Sentiment analysis refers to the use of natural language processing, text analysis and computational linguistics to identify and extract subjective information in source materials. In this study, we focus on social media mining and sentiment analysis for students of an open and distance education system. Anadolu University which has approximately two million students and more than two million graduates, is a well-known institution in Turkey, that offers higher education through contemporary distance education model. Firstly, we have fetched Tweets related to Anadolu University open and distance education system. To perform sentiment analysis, these tweets were analysed by statistical and data mining techniques. Finally, results were visualized.

Inclusive education is a practical and transformative endeavor that must be the way of the future for the education of persons with disabilities. This is the view of an individual who has had a lived experience of inclusive education. In this chapter, I seek to chronicle my experiences as a blind person who developed glaucoma whilst attending high school and was unable to successfully complete school due to the inadequacies of the system for a student with disability. Upon becoming totally blind, I went to one of the institutions catering to the needs of persons who are blind and received rehabilitation and re-entered the education system to complete my education. With the rehabilitation that I received coupled with greater understanding and support for a blind student, I was able to successfully complete final exams that caused me to meet the matriculation requirements for university. I successfully completed university with a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy. All of these were done in regular education institutions and is a clear indication that inclusive education works. I compared this experiential knowledge with established epistemology on the subject of inclusive education and conclude the chapter with some recommendations as how educational institutions should become more inclusive and accessible for persons with disabilities.
