W ostatnim czasie, w celu zwiększenia atrakcyjności ofert, producenci obniżają ceny swoich wyrobów. Pociąga to za sobą konieczność ograniczania zapasów magazynowych. Dodatkowo tryb realizacji zamówień powoduje często, że konieczne jest poszukiwanie zamienników wcześniej stosowanych i sprawdzonych materiałów i kształtowników. Poszukiwania takie nie ograniczają się jedynie do przeglądania ofert hurtowni wyrobów stalowych. Znacznie ważniejsza jest weryfikacja wytrzymałościowa projektowanej konstrukcji. W artykule zaprezentowano przykładowy przebieg i wyniki analizy wytrzymałościowej konstrukcji zasadniczej obudowy odgałęzienia wykonanej z dostępnych profili i materiałów.
Recently, to increase an attractiveness of offers, producers lower prices of their articles. It results in necessity of reserve stock limiting. A course of completion of orders causes mat searching of substitutes for practised and checked materials and sections becomes necessary. This searching is not only revision of the offers of steel articles dealer. More important is strength verification of designed structure. An example course and results of strength analysis of support of crossing gallery made of accessible sections and materials were presented.

Opis:

This research presents existing problem of railway elements and motor - vehicle road elements at their intersections. The objects of simulation research were vehicles passing over a level crossing of automobile road and rail-transportation road. Objective of this research was to determine the vibration levels of structural elements of the crossing, to generate the loading curves for certain parts and to prepare a mathematical model that could be applied in further simulations. For this purpose a model of level crossing was built in the SolidWorks system. Subsequently, those simulations will produce relatively optimal level-crossing construction with the application of shape - memory elements, NiTi-type-materials.
W pracy przedstawiono symulacje oddziaływań dynamicznych pojazdów samochodowych w trakcie przejazdu przez wibroizolowany przejazd kolejowy z elementami elastomerowymi, wewnątrz których umieszczone są elementy z pamięcią kształtu typu NiTi. Symulacje przeprowadzono dla samochodów osobowych o masie 1500 kg i samochodów ciężarowych o masie 15000 kg w zakresie prędkości 30 - 100 km/h i naciągu od 0 - 100 kN. Na rys.1 przedstawiono przejazd kolejowy składający się z płyt betonowych wewnętrznych 1 i zewnętrznych 2 podpartych elementach elastomerowych, w których umieszczone są druty typu NiTi z pamięcią kształtu 3. Celem tych symulacji jest określenie wpływu naciągu drutów z NiTi na własności systemu układu wibroizolacji przejazdów kolejowo samochodowych oraz możliwości regulacji parametrami wibroizolacji, jakimi są sztywność i tłumienie.

Opis:

Przejazdy kolejowe stanowią specyficzny element infrastruktury kolejowej. Obciążenie ruchu jednopoziomowych skrzyżowań linii kolejowych z drogami kołowymi zwiększa prawdopodobieństwo powstania wypadku. Bezpieczeństwo na przejazdach kolejowo-drogowych zależy od stanu jego geometrii, od zachowań uczestników ruchu drogowego, prawidłowego wykonywania zadań przez zarządców infrastruktury kolejowej oraz drogowej. W pracy omówiono zagadnienia dotyczące pomiarów geometrii przejazdów kolejowo-drogowych kategorii D z uwzględnieniem pomiarów autorskich. W pomiarach użyto przykładnicy magnetyczno-pomiarowej (ang. magnetic-measuring square – MMS) z: – tarczą pomiarową, – nasadką dalmierczą wyposażoną w dalmierz laserowy, – minipryzmatem GMP111, - metrem zwijanym, oraz tachymetrem TC407 Leica nr 697413. Pomiary geometrii zostały wsparte pracami diagnostycznymi dotyczącymi przejazdów. Regulacje prawne wynikające z Rozporządzenia Ministra Infrastruktury i Rozwoju z dnia 20 października 2015 r. w sprawie warunków technicznych, jakim powinny odpowiadać skrzyżowania linii kolejowych oraz bocznic kolejowych z drogami i ich usytuowanie, wprowadzają obligatoryjność sporządzania dokumentacji techniczno-eksploatacyjnej przejazdu kolejowo-drogowego lub przejścia zwaną metryką przejazdu kolejowo-drogowego/przejścia. Metryka ta wymaga uzyskania wpisów danych będących wynikami prac geodezyjnych i prac diagnostycznych. Tematyka przejazdów kolejowo-drogowych została negatywnie oceniona w Raporcie Najwyższej Izby Kontroli (NIK) dotyczącym bezpieczeństwa ruchu na przejściach i przejazdach kolejowo-drogowych (KIN.410.003.00.2016/ Nr ewid. 200/2016/P/16/029/KIN). Najpoważniejsze nieprawidłowości dotyczą metryk przejazdowych. W celu prawidłowego wykonania pomiarów geometrycznych przejazdów, wymagane jest posiadanie dodatkowych specjalistycznych przyrządów pomiarowych. W pracy przedstawiono autorskie spostrzeżenia i wnioski. Artykuł został wykonany w ramach badań statutowych AGH nr 11.11.150.005.
Railway crossings constitute a specific element of the railroad infrastructure. High traffic intensity on level crossings of railways with roads increases the probability of traffic accidents. The safety on road and railway crossings is dependent on the condition of its geometry, behaviour of the traffic participants, as well as correct performance of the duties of the railway and road infrastructure administration. This paper discusses issues related to measuring the geometry of D category road and railway crossings, including proprietary measurements. The measurements employed a magnetic measuring square – MMS with: – a surveying measuring disk, – an adapter with a laser distance meter, – GMP111 mini-prism, - rolled up meter, and Leica TC407 tachymeter no. 697413. The geometry measurements were supported by diagnostic works carried out on the crossings. The legal regulations resulting from the Minister of Infrastructure and Development Decree of October 20, 2015 on the technical conditions to be fulfilled by the crossings of railways and railway sidings with roads, and their placement, introduce the obligation to prepare technical and operating documentation of every road and railway crossing or passage, which the documentation is known as the road and railway crossing/passage certificate. This certificate requires obtaining data entries through geodetic and diagnostic works. The problem of road and railway crossings was negatively assessed in the Supreme Chamber of Control Report concerning safety of traffic on road and railway crossings (KIN.410.003.00.2016 / Ref. 200/2016/P/16/029/KIN). The most serious irregularities concern the crossing certificates. In order to correctly perform geometrical measurements of crossings, possessing additional specialist measuring instruments is required. The paper includes proprietary observations and conclusions. The article was prepared as part of the AGH statutory research no. 11.11.150.005.

The crossing number cr(G) of a graph G is the smallest number of edge crossings in any drawing of G. In this paper, we prove that there exists a unique 5-regular graph G on 10 vertices with cr(G) = 2. This answers a question by Chia and Gan in the negative. In addition, we also give a new proof of Chia and Gan’s result which states that if G is a non-planar 5-regular graph on 12 vertices, then cr(G) ≥ 2.

Przekraczaniu granic zawsze towarzyszyły i towarzyszą emocje, ponieważ obszar ten ma specyficzne cechy. By zmniejszyć poczucie lęku, obawy związanej ze zmianą obszarów, tworzono obrzędy i rytuały przejścia. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia formalne wymogi stawiane przekraczającym granice, ale też pokazuje magiczno-religijne sposoby ochrony przed niebezpieczeństwami czyhającymi na granicy. Wyjaśnia postrzeganie granic w kulturze tradycyjnej i przybliża współczesną wizję granic. Przedstawia rytuał przekraczania granicy polsko-ukraińskiej.
A border protects what is inside – orbis interior but simultaneously it lets to adjoin what is outside – orbis exterior. A border does not belong to anybody, it is the area “between”, so on one side it prompts to stop and on the other side it prompts to communication and connectivity. Borders were and are being crossed. Crossing them is connected with the change of the area but also with the experience of difference, alterity, outrangeness. To reduce the fear and anxiety about “the world abroad” and the demilitarised zone itself, there were always the rituals of border crossing. This article presents formal necessities connected with border crossing and it shows magical-religious ways of protection against the dangers lurking in the zone area. in a nowadays globalised world where the borders are wearing away and the countries welcome the comers, the rituals of crossing wither. But there are still places where you can experience these rituals. At the airports and exterior frontiers of the European Union the activities were multiplied to make travellers aware of the meaning of the border crossing. the description of the Polish-Ukrainian border controlling lets us educe the ritual of it and to capture – maybe at the last gasp – the activities performed in the demiliterised zone area. If the borders still exist, people will need the rituals of crossing them because these rituals give the feeling of safety. They are somehow connected with a kind of necessity but they also reduce the feeling of lost and fear.

The issues connected with borders and borderlines are gaining a new dimension in global processes conditions. The objective of this article is to demonstrate the new criteria of the recognition of boarders. The notions of a border and a borderline are ambiguous and they are presented in many different ways by various disciplines. We most often point out the social, cultural and territorial dimension of boarders. Borders and borderlines can be articulated either in a literary or imaginary way. Therefore it is vital to establish or discover borders and the functions they serve. This, in turn, is connected with the problem of crossing or eliminating borders. The notion of space is one of the important issues related to the perception of borders and borderlines. In the conditions of globalization processes we talk, among the others, about the shrinkage of the world, crossing borders or rapid flow of information. New dynamics, characteristic for globalization processes, seems to eliminate many of the previously existing borders. This is, among the others, due to the creation of a global society, abolition of borders between local and global aspects, economic relationships encompassing the entire globe or the changes in the formula of the nation-state, citizenship, sovereignty and national identity. However, it needs to be noted, that this new dynamics of globalization processes provides opportunities for the creation of new borders and borderlines, both real and imaginary.
Zagadnienia dotyczące granic i pograniczy zyskują nowy wymiar w warunkach procesów globalizacji. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przybliżenie tych nowych wyznaczników ujmowania granic i pograniczy. Pojęcia granicy i pogranicza są wieloznaczne i w różnych dyscyplinach naukowych ujmowane w różnoraki sposób. Najczęściej wskazujemy na wymiar społeczny, kulturowy i terytorialny granic. Granice i pogranicza można artykułować w sposób dosłowny lub wyobrażony. Dlatego istotne jest ustanowienie lub odkrycie granic czy granicy i pełnionych przez nie funkcji. Z tym z kolei wiąże się kwestia przekraczania granic lub ich niwelowania. Jednym z istotnych zagadnień związanych z postrzeganiem granic i pograniczy jest pojęcie przestrzeni. W warunkach procesów globalizacji mówimy między innymi o kurczeniu się świata, przekraczaniu granic, szybkim przepływie informacji. Nowa dynamika charakterystyczna dla procesów globalizacji wydaje się niwelować wiele z wcześniej występujących granic. Dzieje się tak między innymi dzięki tworzeniu społeczeństwa globalnego; znoszeniu granic między tym co lokalne i tym co globalne; związkom gospodarczym obejmującym cały glob ziemski czy też zmianom w formule państwa narodowego, obywatelstwa, suwerenności, tożsamości narodowej. Odnotować jednakowoż należy, że ta nowa dynamika procesów globalizacji stwarza możliwości powstawania nowych granic i nowych pograniczy, rzeczywistych i wyobrażonych.

Thomassen described all (except finitely many) regular tilings of the torus $ S_1 $ and the Klein bottle $N_2$ into (3,6)-tilings, (4,4)-tilings and (6,3)-tilings. Many researchers made great efforts to investigate the crossing number of the Cartesian product of an $m$-cycle and an $n$-cycle, which is a special kind of (4,4)-tilings, either in the plane or in the projective plane. In this paper we study the crossing number of the hexagonal graph $ H_{3,n} (n \ge 2) $, which is a special kind of (3,6)-tilings, in the projective plane, and prove that $$ cr_{N_1} (H_{3,n}) = \begin{cases} 0, & n=2, \\ n-1, & n \ge 3. \end{cases} $$

In [C. Thomassen, Tilings of the torus and the Klein bottle and vertex-transitive graphs on a fixed surface, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 323 (1991) 605–635], Thomassen described completely all (except finitely many) regular tilings of the torus S₁ and the Klein bottle N₂ into (3,6)-tilings, (4,4)-tilings and (6,3)-tilings. Many authors made great efforts to investigate the crossing number (in the plane) of the Cartesian product of an m-cycle and an n-cycle, which is a special (4,4)-tiling. For other tilings, there are quite rare results concerning on their crossing numbers. This motivates us in the paper to determine the crossing number of a hexagonal graph H_3,n, which is a special kind of (3,6)-tilings.

Opis:

The article is dedicated to the problem of crossing fiscal criminal liability regime and the consequences resulting from applying proper regulations of financial law that provide for imposing so-called tax penalties. These “crossings” may be considered, among other things, as breaking the “ne bis in idem” rule or the constitutional principle of proportionality of country’s reaction to violation of legal obligation. The essence of tax penalties, their level of accumulation with amercement for fiscal delicts and constitutional requirements for acceptance of such crossings in light of the foregoing reference norms are discussed. Moreover, judicatory’s way of viewing this problem (expressed in the form of most widely commented court decisions) together with ideas on how to “solve” these crossings are also included.

Wprowadzone w ostatnim czasie zmiany w przepisach o skrzyżowaniach linii kolejowych z drogami uwzględniają także zwiększenie bezpieczeństwa ruchu. Na przejazdach kolejowodrogowych obsługiwanych przez dróżnika przejazdowego przewidziano możliwość stosowania również tarcz ostrzegawczych przejazdowych, co autorzy artykułu uważają za w pełni uzasadnione ze względu na bezpieczeństwo ruchu. Tarcze ostrzegawcze przejazdowe informują maszynistę o stanie zapór drogowych na najbardziej obciążonych przejazdach kolejowo-drogowych. Bezpieczeństwo ruchu zależy zatem od dwóch osób: dróżnika przejazdowego i dodatkowo od maszynisty. Rozważano sposoby sterowania światłami tarcz ostrzegawczych przejazdowych: przez dróżnika przejazdowego lub automatycznie przez pociąg. Autorzy artykułu proponują sterowanie automatyczne przez zbliżający się do przejazdu pociąg.
The recent modifications of regulations about crossing of railway lines with roads, take into account improvement of transport safety. Usage of warning signals on road-rail crossing, serviced by lineman, has been taken into consideration. Authors stated, that is necessary due to traffic safety. Crossing warning signals gives driver information about railway barriers, on the most overcrowded road-rail crossing, Safety is dependent to two people: lineman and driver. A few possibilites of control of crossing warning signals has been taken into consideration: by lineman or driver. Authors suggested automatic control by coming train.

The crossing numbers of Cartesian products of paths, cycles or stars with all graphs of order at most four are known. The crossing numbers of G☐Cₙ for some graphs G on five and six vertices and the cycle Cₙ are also given. In this paper, we extend these results by determining crossing numbers of Cartesian products G☐Cₙ for some connected graphs G of order six with six and seven edges. In addition, we collect known results concerning crossing numbers of G☐Cₙ for graphs G on six vertices.

Kulli and Muddebihal [V.R. Kulli, M.H. Muddebihal, Characterization of join graphs with crossing number zero, Far East J. Appl. Math. 5 (2001) 87-97] gave the characterization of all pairs of graphs which join product is planar graph. The crossing number cr(G) of a graph G is the minimal number of crossings over all drawings of G in the plane. There are only few results concerning crossing numbers of graphs obtained as join product of two graphs. In the paper, the exact values of crossing numbers for join of paths with all graphs of order four, as well as for join of all graphs of order four with n isolated vertices are given.

Opis:

Sea waves are important in the service of marine meteorological data. Waves that occur at sea have random and complex movements, so that the height and period of the waves are difficult to measure and formulate. This study aims to design and create marine instrumentation that can measure and record the parameters of wave height and period of coastal waves in situ so that the data obtained can reflect the conditions on the field well. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is used for the instrument floats. The buoyancy value of the vehicle shows a floating value of 124.97N, or the maximum amount of load that can be accommodated by the vehicle is ±12 kg. This research was conducted from November 2019 until July 2020. The pre-research conducted at the Laboratory of Marine Science and Technology, and Computer Laboratory FPIK Universitas Padjadjaran. Testing laboratory scale carried out in a static pool, Grand Pangandaran, Pangandaran Regency and field testing was conducted in the Area of Pangandaran Port, Bojong Salawe, Pangandaran Regency, West Java for 5 days with each observation time for 6 hours / day. The results obtained are x, y, and z axis data values with a total of ±3600 data. Data analysis is based on the Zero Crossing Analysis statistical using python. The results of data processing showed a wave height value of 10% (H10) with a value of 3.0 meters, and a wave period of 10% (T10) worth 6.87 seconds. Significant wave height (HS) with a value of 2.8 meters, and significant wave period of 6.8 seconds, with an average wave height of 2.7 meters, and an average wave period of 6.8 seconds. This is consistent with the wave data from BMKG which show values ranging from 2.5 to 4 meters, on June 27-30 2020 and July 1, 2020.

Przerwy stykowe między pantografem i siecią trakcyjną przy przepływie prądu wywołują uszkodzenia powierzchni przewodu i nakładki stykowej. Przyspieszają one zużycie eksploatacyjne. W artykule przedstawione zostały efekty przerw stykowych, jak również przyczyny ich powstawania na skrzyżowaniu sieci. Zaprezentowano również rozwiązania konstrukcji skrzyżowania sieci trakcyjnej górnej. Przeprowadzona została analiza funkcjonowania skrzyżowania we współpracy z odbierakiem.
Breaks of contact between pantograph and catenary during current flow cause damages of surfaces of contact were and pantograph's contact strip. So exploitation worn-out of both is inereased. There are presented in the paper causes and effects of breaks in contact at catenary crossing. Solutions of catenary crossing construction are shown. An undertaken analysis of catenary crossing co-operation with a pantograph is presented.

We give the crossing number of the join product G* + Dn, where the disconnected graph G* of order six consists of one isolated vertex and of one edge joining two nonadjacent vertices of the 5-cycle. Historical analysis of the issue of illegal crossings of national borders shows that theinstruments of criminal law reactions are more characteristic for totalitarian countriesthan democratic ones. In the case of Poland, over the course of the last few decadesa substantial change has taken place in the goal of protecting borders. Until the endof the 1980s, attempting to prevent its own citizens from leaving was the priority,while now the border controls are concentrated on stopping citizens from third-worldcountries entering.The offence stipulated in article 264 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code penalises anact involving perpetrators illegally crossing Polish borders and do so by using specifiedforms of actions in the form of deceit, violence, threats or in co-operation with otherpeople. Awareness of the perpetrator in relation to the eventual location of the bordermust be based on their knowledge in this field. Here it should refer to normalisedpatterns and the so-called good model citizen, who should possess knowledge bothrelated to cultural norms and to certain facts (e.g. the layout of Poland’s borders). Thismodel is well enough confirmed in the case of Polish citizens. But it is harder to applydirectly to foreigners, specifically those coming from another cultural background.Due to this, determining the guilt of foreigners when it comes to committing crimeson the territory of our country relies on checking and accounting for the concretepersonal facts of the perpetrator, specifically their level of familiarity with Polish legaland socio-cultural norms, while taking into consideration their education, nationalorigin, profession, etc. A lack of appropriate awareness about the perpetrator, resultingfrom a lack of proper knowledge and information, would be the same as making anerror about the factual or legal meaning of the act. The effect of such an error wouldbe an inability to assign intentional fault to the perpetrator for committing the givenact. From 1 July 2015, in agreement with article 28 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code,a person who remains in justified error about the circumstances constituting thehallmarks of a criminal act, has not committed a crime at all.The authors of the article draw attention to the most commonly occurring forms ofactivities by perpetrators from article 264 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code, namely theillegal crossing of borders in co-operation with other people. This co-operation must beunderstood as various forms of collaboration between various people while committinga crime, often fulfilling various roles in this procedure. There is little to dispute the factthat responsibility for this will be assumed by an appropriate accomplice, and thereforethe agreement of several people in relation to the shared committing of a crime. Toconclude, all parties must have awareness that other people will be participating incommitting the crime, and articulate their will (intention) in the joint action. A lack ofagreement in this sense would therefore exclude any collaboration.From a procedural point of view, for an illegal border crossing to qualify as a crime,and not a misdemeanour, the fact must be proven that the accused crossed the border “in co-operation with other people”. In the opinion of the article’s authors, withoutproof of such circumstances, one cannot talk about a crime being committed at all. Perusal of court records raises objections about how this provision is being used inpractice. In none of the analysed recorded situations did border controls attempt toprove the circumstances of co-operation as a reasonable premise for accepting a groupcrossing the border. In some cases, the issue seems questionable.It is clear that the Polish state, in the name of its own interests, tries to ensure theflow of migrants is legal and controlled. But doubt from the article’s authors inspiresmaking use of the instruments of criminal law to aid this goal. Punishments, whichmight be placed upon perpetrators of illegal border crossing crimes, do not play a rolein most cases. One cannot speak about retaliation (because it is not an act which wouldarouse any social emotions and demand retaliation), nor speak about the resocialisationof perpetrators (since it is hard to treat the fact of crossing a border as violatingfundamental social values, and moreover the perpetrator is a foreigner and it is not inthe interest of the Polish state to reintroduce them to society but to expel them fromthe republic’s territory). Finally, it seems fruitless to argue about the preventative roleof punishments, since this perfectly serves the administration’s reaction (in the formof the practice of using detention and expulsion from institutions as well as a ban fromentering Poland’s territory).The position that it is not necessary to launch criminal proceedings againstthose people smuggled across the border was expressed in the so-called Declarationfrom Doha accepted in 2015, issued as a summary of the 13th UN Congress. In itsverdicts, the EU Court of Justice draws attentions to how it is inappropriate to imposepunishments on illegally-residing third world citizens that deprive their freedom solelyon the grounds that they have stayed without a valid reason in the territory of that state,contravening orders to leave that territory in a specified timeframe.In relation to the above, it is the belief of the authors that a justified recommendationwould be to withdraw from the frequently-used article 264 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code, so that proceedings can be conducted in cases related to the illegal crossing ofborders.

Ronda, szczególnie małe, znajdują coraz większe uznanie wśród polskich projektantów, co wynika przede wszystkim z ich zalet. Formę tę przyjmują zarówno nowo budowane skrzyżowania, jak i przebudowywane, już istniejące inne typy skrzyżowań. Do głównych zalet rond należy zaliczyć: bezpieczeństwo, wysoką przepustowość, geometrycznie wymuszoną redukcję prędkości podczas przejazdu przez rondo, możliwość łatwego i bezpiecznego zawracania. Wszystkie te i pozostałe zalety są efektem wypracowanej przez lata funkcjonowania geometrii i organizacji ruchu na rondach. Rozwojowi tego typu skrzyżowań towarzyszy rozwój metodologii obliczania ich przepustowości. W artykule zaprezentowano genezę powstania skrzyżowań typu rondo na świecie oraz pierwsze metody służące do obliczania ich przepustowości.
Modern roundabouts have become a subject of great interest and attention over the last few years on all the world. This interest is partially based on the great success of roundabouts in Europe and Australia, where intersection design practice has changed substantially as the result of the good performance of roundabouts and their acceptance by the public. Modern roundabouts follow design principles that are different from those of traffic circles built on the world in the first half of the century. The old circles often gave priority to entering traffic and were designed with the weaving movement as a prime consideration. The circles became fairly large, with long distances between consecutive entrances and exits and with relatively high speeds. In contrast, the modern roundabouts are designed for lower speeds, and its dimensions are determined by the number of branches, required capacity, and by the turning radii of larger vehicles. Deflection of the vehicle path through the roundabout is a critical design element affecting the safety of the roundabout. Entering traffic has to yield to circulating traffic. At low traffic loads, vehicles enter without stopping, at higher loads, entering traffic hasn't wait for a gap in the circulating stream. To increase roundabout capacity, entries are flared to provide more than one entry lane, and the circulatory roadway is widened.

The main aim of this paper is to give the crossing number of the join product $G^∗ + P_n$ for the disconnected graph $G^$∗ of order five consisting of the complete graph $K_4$ and one isolated vertex, where $P_n$ is the path on n vertices. The proofs are done with the help of a lot of well-known exact values for the crossing numbers of the join products of subgraphs of the graph $G^∗$ with the paths. Finally, by adding new edges to the graph $G^∗$, we are able to obtain the crossing numbers of the join products of two other graphs with the path $P_n$.

The crossing number of a graph G is the minimum number of edge crossings over all drawings of G in the plane. Recently, the crossing numbers of join products of two graphs have been studied. In the paper, we extend know results concerning crossing numbers of join products of small graphs with discrete graphs. The crossing number of the join product G*+ D_n for the disconnected graph G* consisting of five vertices and of three edges incident with the same vertex is given. Up to now, the crossing numbers of G + D_n were done only for connected graphs G. In the paper also the crossing numbers of G*+ P_n and G* + C_n are given. The paper concludes by giving the crossing numbers of the graphs H + D_n, H + P_n, and H + C_n for four different graphs H with |E(H)| ≤ |V (H)|. The methods used in the paper are new. They are based on combinatorial properties of cyclic permutations.

Opis:

The aim of the study was to determine the hybridity of the F1 generation of Vaccinium cf. uliginosum × V. vitis-idaea × Oxycoccus macrocarpus created through the consecutive crossing of some common berry species of the family Ericaceae (bog whortleberry, cowberry and marsh cranberry) at the tetraploid level. Certain aspects of phenology and morphometric parameters of vegetative organs of the supposed hybrid and parent plants were analysed using traditional methods of comparative analysis. Molecular genetic assay, including random amplification of polymorphic DNA, simple sequence repeat and sequencing, were also used. Comparison of the phenological and morphometric features of the experimental plant and its parents allows suggesting that in the combination of crossing of (V. uliginosum × V. vitis-idaea) × O. macrocarpus (the cultivar Searles), a three-species hybrid was created. The allelic variants, specific for V. uliginosum, V. vitis-idaea and O. macrocarpus, were detected in the V. cf. uliginosum × V. vitis-idaea × O. macrocarpus genotype. A next-generation sequencing approach is suggested for estimating the share of the genomes of Vaccinium spp. in the formation of the interspecies hybrid.

Opis:

The aim of the article is to introduce a neglected section of the Ukrainian-Polish borderland, Transcarpathia, within the area of the sociology of borderland. The author sheds some light on the ethnic, geographical and political peculiarity of this region, with special attention paid to its isolation from Poland, one of the oblast’s close neighbours. Apart from the relevant literature (rather poor), the article is based on the author’s own observations made in a few Transcarpathian villages in 2014 and 2015 as well as on their inhabitants’ opinions concerning the problems with opening up the border-crossing in Lubnya. The gist of the considerations is to show different shades of Transcarpathia’s isolation from Poland which results in the region’s inhabitants’ lack of contacts with Poles and lack of knowledge on Poland. Consequently, Lubnya and its Polish neighbour from over the mountains, Wołosate, being geographically very close, are socially and culturally quite distant, not to say – alien. The article concludes with a range theoretical conceptions that might be applied in order to understand better the reality of the Transcarpathian section of the Ukrainian-Polish borderland.

There are several known exact results on the crossing numbers of Cartesian products of paths, cycles or stars with "small" graphs. Let H be the 5-vertex graph defined from K₅ by removing three edges incident with a common vertex. In this paper, we extend the earlier results to the Cartesian products of H × Pₙ and H × Cₙ, showing that in the general case the corresponding crossing numbers are 3n-1, and 3n for even n or 3n+1 if n is odd.

The crossing numbers of Cartesian products of paths, cycles or stars with all graphs of order at most four are known. For the path $ P_n $ of length $ n $, the crossing numbers of Cartesian products $ G \square P_n $ for all connected graphs $G$ on five vertices are also known. In this paper, the crossing numbers of Cartesian products $ G \square P_n $ for graphs $ G $ of order six are studied. Let $ H $ denote the unique tree of order six with two vertices of degree three. The main contribution is that the crossing number of the Cartesian product $ H \square P_n $ is $ 2(n − 1) $. In addition, the crossing numbers of $ G \square P_n $ for fourty graphs $G$ on six vertices are collected.

Bokal developed an innovative method for finding the crossing numbers of Cartesian product of two arbitrarily large graphs. In this article, the crossing number of the join product of stars and cycles are given. Opis:

The paper deals with the implementation of a modified FMEA methodology according to the EU Commission Regulation no. 402/13 on a common safety method for risk assessment and evaluation in the railway sector. The basic goal is to create a methodology for risk identification regarding the safety of services in railway transport concerning railway crossings. Reason for this research was the fact that the manager of the railway infrastructure in Slovakia has problems related to accidents at railway crossings including problems with the quality of services when trains are delayed. Based on previous research, this area has been defined as a priority for risk identification. Accidents at level crossings are often the result of complex interactions between several factors. The results of the authors’ long-term research bring direct impact on the safety and quality of rail transport services. The first effect of the research is a detailed investigation of the causes of accidents, on which the new methodology is based. This is important because understanding the causes of accidents is the first step in eliminating them. The proposed new framework of the methodology provides guidance to the railway infrastructure manager on how to identify, analyze, evaluate and eliminate the risks of their effects.

The crossing number cr(G) of a graph G is the minimum number of edge crossings over all drawings of G in the plane. The main aim of the paper is to give the crossing number of the join product $W_4 + P_n$ and $W_4 + C_n$ for the wheel $W_4$ on five vertices, where $P_n$ and $C_n$ are the path and the cycle on n vertices, respectively. Yue et al. conjectured that the crossing number of $W_m + C_n$ is equal to $Z(m+1)Z(n)+(Z(m)-1)[n/2]+n+[m/2]+2$, for all m,n ≥ 3, and where the Zarankiewicz’s number $Z(n)=[n/2][{n-1}/2]$ is defined for n ≥ 1. Recently, this conjecture was proved for $W_3 + C_n$ by Klesc. We establish the validity of this conjecture for $W_4 + C_n$ and we also offer a new conjecture for the crossing number of the join product $W_m + P_n$ for m ≥ 3 and n ≥ 2.

Opis:

This paper presents a cost-effective technique for reducing the delay dispersion of the conventional comparator for level-crossing Analog-to -Digital Converters. Only three transistors, representing a variable driving-current block (VDCB), have been added to the conventional comparator circuit. The VDCB attempts to control the charging behavior of the difference amplifier’ output node. The added block incurs small area overhead and low power consumption compared with the previous works. The proposed circuit has been implemented in MOSIS 130nm technology. The simulation results indicate that the overdrive-related propagation delay dispersion of the proposed technique is reduced to 23% of its counterpart in the conventional comparator. The active area of the proposed circuit is 140.2 μm2 and the power consumption is 227μW at 200MHz. For the sake of scalability check, the proposed circuit is also designed and simulated using 45nm technology. The simulation results came in the same direction, which implies the scalability of the proposed circuit.

Dużym zagrożeniem dla pieszych jest przekraczanie jezdni. Najczęstszym sposobem próby minimalizacji ryzyka z tym związanego jest stosowanie przejść dla pieszych. Jednak często przejścia nie spełniają warunków, które w pełni gwarantowałyby pieszemu bezpieczeństwo. Dorosły uczestnik ruchu jest w stanie obiektywnie ocenić, czy jest dostatecznie widoczny na przejściu, czy samochód zbliżający się do niego będzie w stanie zahamować. Nie jest to już takie oczywiste w przypadku dzieci, które przecież także, często same, uczestniczą w ruchu drogowym. Dlatego szczególnie ważna jest analiza bezpieczeństwa przejść dla pieszych w pobliżu szkół. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metody analizy bezpieczeństwa na przejściach dla pieszych ze znakiem T-27, czyli „Agatką”, który jest montowany na przejściach w pobliżu szkół. Jako poligon badawczy wykorzystano istniejące przejścia dla pieszych na drogach wojewódzkich znajdujących się w województwie pomorskim. W artykule przedstawiono proces budowy bazy danych, wyboru kryteriów oceny oraz dokonano oceny kilku przykładowych przejść dla pieszych.
Pedestrian, also called vulnerable road user, is particularly exposed on the risk associated with participation in the traffic. Crossing the road is a big threat for pedestrian. The most common way to minimize this risk is an application of the pedestrian crossings. Pedestrian crossings often do not meet requirements of safety level. Safety on pedestrian crossings depends on many factors, like: traffic congestion, pedestrian congestion, crossing environment, geometry of roads, lighting, adequate labelling. Adult pedestrian is able to assess if he/she is visible enough, or if a car will be able to stop before the crossing. This is not so obvious with the children, who also often participate in traffic without adults. That is why it is very important to analyze the safety of pedestrian crossings near schools. The aim of this article is to present the methods of safety analysis on pedestrian crossings marked with the sign T-27 – so called "Agatka" – near the schools. Existing pedestrian crossings on provincial roads located in Pomorskie voivodeship will be training ground for research. This article presents process of development of a database, selection criteria for the evaluation and evaluation of exemplary of pedestrian crossings.

The crossing number $ \text{cr} (G) $ of a graph $ G $ is the minimum number of edge crossings over all drawings of $ G $ in the plane. In the paper, we extend known results concerning crossing numbers of join products of four small graphs with paths and cycles. The crossing numbers of the join products $ G^∗ + P_n $ and $ G^∗ + C_n $ for the disconnected graph $ G^∗ $ consisting of the complete tripartite graph $ K_{1,1,2} $ and one isolated vertex are given, where $ P_n $ and $ C_n $ are the path and the cycle on $ n $ vertices, respectively. In the paper also the crossing numbers of $ H^∗ + P_n $ and $ H^∗ + C_n $ are determined, where $ H^∗ $ is isomorphic to the complete tripartite graph $ K_{1,1,3} $. Finally, by adding new edges to the graphs $ G^∗ $ and $ H^∗ $, we are able to obtain crossing numbers of join products of two other graphs $ G_1 $ and $ H_1 $ with paths and cycles.

According to their special structure, the class of Cartesian products of two graphs is one of few graph classes for which some exact values of crossing numbers were obtained. The crossing numbers of Cartesian products of paths, cycles or stars with all graphs of order at most four are known. Moreover, except of six graphs, the crossing numbers of Cartesian products $ G \square K_{1,n} $ for all other connected graphs $ G $ on five vertices are known. In this paper we are dealing with the Cartesian products of stars with graphs on six vertices. We give the exact values of crossing numbers for some of these graphs and we summarise all known results concerning crossing numbers of these graphs. Moreover, we give the crossing number of $ G_1 \square T $ for the special graph $ G_1 $ on six vertices and for any tree $ T $ with no vertex of degree two as well as the crossing number of $ K_{1,n} \square T $ for any tree $ T $ with maximum degree five.

W systemie transportu lądowego, jednymi z najważniejszych obszarów zainteresowań z punktu widzenia zarządzania ryzykiem są obszary, w których funkcjonują skrzyżowania linii kolejowych z drogami. Jedną ze składowych metod zarządzania ryzykiem jest postępowanie wobec ryzyka. Na tle znanych sposobów postępowania wobec ryzyka zaprezentowano wybrane z nich. Przedstawiono urządzenia stosowane na przejazdach kolejowych i omówiono zasady ich działania. Urządzenia oraz regulacje prawne jako środki redukcji ryzyka stosowane na przejazdach kolejowych kategorii A i B przypisano do odpowiednich warstw ochronnych systemu bezpieczeństwa.
In the system of the land transport one of the most dangerous areas are the crossings of the railway lines with the highways. This article describes the strategies of the risk limitation and the means of the risk reduction on the railway crossing. The allocation of the means making possible a reduction of the risk according to the seven-step classification. The technical equipment used at the rail-road crossing to minimize the risk has been defined.

W artykule poruszono niektóre zagadnienia związane z bezpieczeństwem ludzi na przejazdach kolejowych. Temat ten jest ważny, gdyż Polska znajduje się na jednym z ostatnich miejsc w Europie, jeżeli chodzi o liczbę wypad-ków na przejazdach kolejowych. Pomimo znacznego rozwoju infrastruktury drogowej i kolejowej na skrzyżowaniach kolejowo - drogowych mają miejsce bardzo tragiczne wypadki. Ich skutki dotykają wielu osób. Zdaniem autorów można poprawić stan bezpieczeństwa na przejazdach kolejowych poprzez wprowadzenie proponowanych zmian.
In the article we touch upon the issue of human safety on railway crossing. The subject is important, because Poland places on one of the last position in Europe, when we consider the number of traffic accidents on railway crossings. Despite of considerable development of traffic infrastructure on road-railway crossing, still serious accidents take place. Their consequences touch many people. According to authors there is a chance to improve the safety on railway crossings through implementation of proposed changes.

In the article, in addition to discussing issues of security at railway crossings presents an analysis of responses to a questionnaire of a survey conducted in the context of safety at level crossings, and completed by three groups directly related to transport, namely train drivers, car drivers and crossings keepers.

Opis:

The paper presents a new algorithm to determine the shortest, non-crossing, rectilinear paths in a twodimensional grid graph. The shortest paths are determined in a manner ensuring that they do not cross each other and bypass any obstacles present. Such shortest paths are applied in robotic chip design, suburban railway track layouts, routing traffic in wireless sensor networks, printed circuit board design routing, etc. When more than one equal length noncrossing path is present between the source and the destination, the proposed algorithm selects the path which has the least number of corners (bends) along the path. This feature makes the path more suitable for moving objects, such as unmanned vehicles. In the author’s scheme presented herein, the grid points are the vertices of the graph and the lines joining the grid points are the edges of the graph. The obstacles are represented by their boundary grid points. Once the graph is ready, an adjacency matrix is generated and the Floyd-Warshall all-pairs shortest path algorithm is used iteratively to identify the non-crossing shortest paths. To get the minimum number of bends in a path, we make a modification to the Floyd-Warshall algorithm, which is constitutes the main contribution of the author presented herein.

This proposal focuses on the multifaceted interplay between video games, connectiveness, and online communities in a time of emergency; COVID-19 has presented challenges for teenagers, forcing them to re-mediate their interactions with peers. Digital entertainment has been frequently accused to be a bearer of negative attitudes and anti-social behaviors, but there is also relevant evidence about how video games can foster bonding and inclusion. Nevertheless, updated lenses are needed for understanding the impact of the pandemic on playing and vice versa; in other words, video games can become a lens through which we can understand how teenagers and young adults experience and see the world around them, especially during these turbulent times. Moreover, video games are increasingly experienced in multiple ways, from watching live shows on Twitch.tv to discussing games on Reddit; as such, this additional layer must be investigated too for situating the impact of gaming practices on social and individual schemes. This article intends to provide a snapshot of how this medium can be used as a catalyst for social research, looking at its consumption but also at the social halo it conveys. More specifically, an ethnographic approach has been chosen for providing an intensive analysis of how the acclaimed video game Animal Crossing was perceived and used as a socializing tool by a teenager.

Podstawą opracowania są wyniki badań prowadzonych przez Instytut Kolejnictwa w latach 2018 – 2021 na torze doświadczalnym w Żmigrodzie oraz na linii kolejowej nr 449 Warszawa Rembertów – Zielonka. Oprócz aspektów technicznych w artykule poruszono również tematykę związaną z wpływem powstawania „dzikich przejść” oraz ewentualnej stabilizacji podsypki w ich rejonie na bezpieczeństwo ruchu kolejowego oraz zachowanie osób postronnych.
The paper presents the problem of formation of unauthorized pedestrian level crossings on Polish railway network, and then a method of prevention of track structure degradation in the area of such places by stabilizing ballast with resins. The study is based on the results of research conducted by The Railway Research Institute from 2018 to 2021 on the test track in Żmigród and on the railway line no. 449 Warszawa Rembertów – Zielonka. In addition to technical spects, the paper also deals with the impact of formation of unauthorized pedestrian level crossings and possible stabilization of ballast in their area on the safety of railway traffic and behavior of pedestrians (bystanders).
