IntroductionNursing is a profession of public trust, which, because of the nature of work with another person, is subjected to constant evaluation.Aim Evaluation of the perception of the profession of nurse by the youth of the matura classes.Material and methodsThe study was conducted from February to April 2016 in randomly selected post-gymnasium schools. The questionnaire survey was used for the study.ResultsThe study involved 105 students in the matura classes, among them 77 were women, which constituted 67% and 35 men, which is 33% of the total population studied. Nineteen were 64 of them, 61% of the total, and 41 of them, 39% of the respondents. Research shows that young people consider the profession of Nursing / Nurse to be a profession of interest to such an answer, more than half of the respondents 54.3%. Only 28.6% of respondents consider the profession of nurse to be unattractive. Respondents indicated that the majority of the high school students surveyed were 54 (51.4%) who did not want to work as a nurse / nurse, only 27 (25.7%) of the respondents expressed their willingness to work in the profession, 24 ( 22.9%) people abstained from the answer. The strange fact is that young people in most professions of nurses find it interesting.ConclusionsAccording to junior high school students, the profession of nurse / nurse is an interesting profession. The person who is a future trainee should be qualified; Sense of responsibility, communicativeness, theoretical and practical knowledge. The profession of the nurse of the examined youth is associated with the assistant, assistant doctor.

The bill is aimed to effectively regulate the profession of psychologist because of the failure to implement the previous Act on the profession of psychologist and professional self-government of psychologists. As no professional self-government for psychologists has been established it is now largely a dead law. The new Deputies’ bill is based also on the key role of the professional corpora‑ tion of psychologists and includes proposals for legal definitions. In the author’s view, the blanket nature of the bill on important issues and the lack of a diagnosis of the regulated area may raise concerns about the potential for a repeated regulatory failure.

Opis:
The type of qualification and the extent of professional practice are important elements in the appraisal of a professional. However, these categories are too narrow to characterise a particular teacher. That is why this paper presents a study on teachers’ ethos carried out in 2014. It was conducted among the group of 132 teachers and 123 parents with the use of questionnaires on paper or online. The main purpose of the study was to determine if ethos is still present on the list of social requirements for teachers, and whether its perception has changed in the course of time. The results revealed high levels of familiarity with the term among the respondents as well as the gradual decline of the value of ethos in the work of teachers.

Attention is drawn to risk awareness and early recognition of symptoms in the context of one’s passion for work and for students.

The idea of the moral good is considered a desirable and appreciated real existence. With reference to teachers it constitutes a personal pattern of judicious acting. Their special task is not only to teach necessary knowledge to students but also to instil moral conduct in them i.e. to form ‘a correct character’. This notion was present at the beginning of the 20th century and is also reflected in Archbishop Józef Bilczewski’s letter ‘The Character’ (1920). The ideas presented there remain still valid also in the present historic moment of the nation.

The aim of the paper is to examine whether their profession is a source of satisfaction for Polish accountants. The study used the results of a nationwide survey by the accountants association in Poland “2017 accountants’ portrait”. As it results from more than 2,500 responses by accountants, over three quarters of respondents assess their own job satisfaction highly. The image of an accountant satisfied with their job does not match the stereotypical perception of this profession. The respondents’ answers indicate that the level of satisfaction is related to the position held and the remuneration received. The perception of accountants as “generators of additional costs” or “business impediments” is also significant, which can lower satisfaction with working in accounting. The paper employs methods of a source analysis and a diagnostic survey. The data collected in the survey was analysed using simple statistical methods and was appropriately presented.

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of occupational burnout in social services professions. Occupational burnout was first reported in the seventies. Intense civilization changes and increasing demands placed on social services have caused that the psychological costs they incur. At work, doctors, nurses, teachers, emergency workers, police officers and others are becoming more and more significant. Representatives of these professions are exposed to severe stress, which they can not cope with, are permanently tired, exhausted, are less and less satisfied with the work they do. Taking up the fight with such burdens, they distance themselves from the people they help. Over time, their involvement in the profession is getting weaker. They change it or go into premature retirement. These phenomena are commonly called “burnout”.

The article deals with a very crucial question of the legal status of physicians in Poland. The question asked is whether a physician who works as a sole practitioner may be recognized as a person performing a liberal profession, a public trust profession (a category specifi c only as far as Polish domestic law concerned), or a regulated profession (according to Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifi cations). Consequently, first the concepts of a liberal, regulated and public trust professions are analysed. Another important question to be answered is if physicians practicing as sole traders are undertakings in the meaning of the EU law and if they are what their status is. The vastest exclusion in terms of the subject and object of the legislation was provided by the Regulation on Industrial Law issued by Poland’s President on 7 June 1927 which excluded the activity conducted by physicians. Under Article 3 of the President’s Regulation the Commercial Code 27 June 1934, all liberal professions were also excluded from activities considered to be a form of entrepreneurship. This attitude changed in postwar Poland and the Act of 23 December 1988 on Economic Activity provided for no exclusion for any liberal profession from being regarded as economic activity. The Act of 19 November 1999 on Economic Activity excluded from its scope only entities that provided legal services (barristers and solicitors) and those rendering services in the area of industrial property. Today, under Polish law physicians are considered to be an undertaking in two situations: when they conduct their activities in the form of so-called ‘private practice’ (one-person undertaking), or when they conduct their practice within so-called ‘collective practice’ (partnership). They are not regarded as undertakings when they are employed by a medical institution or another medical entity on the basis of an employment contract. In such a case they fall under the provisions of the Act of 15 April 2011 on Medical Activities, but still keep the status of liberal profession.
