IntroductionNursing is a profession of public trust, which, because of the nature of work with another person, is subjected to constant evaluation.Aim Evaluation of the perception of the profession of nurse by the youth of the matura classes.Material and methodsThe study was conducted from February to April 2016 in randomly selected post-gymnasium schools. The questionnaire survey was used for the study.ResultsThe study involved 105 students in the matura classes, among them 77 were women, which constituted 67% and 35 men, which is 33% of the total population studied. Nineteen were 64 of them, 61% of the total, and 41 of them, 39% of the respondents. Research shows that young people consider the profession of Nursing / Nurse to be a profession of interest to such an answer, more than half of the respondents 54.3%. Only 28.6% of respondents consider the profession of nurse to be unattractive. Respondents indicated that the majority of the high school students surveyed were 54 (51.4%) who did not want to work as a nurse / nurse, only 27 (25.7%) of the respondents expressed their willingness to work in the profession, 24 ( 22.9%) people abstained from the answer. The strange fact is that young people in most professions of nurses find it interesting.ConclusionsAccording to junior high school students, the profession of nurse / nurse is an interesting profession. The person who is a future trainee should be qualified; Sense of responsibility, communicativeness, theoretical and practical knowledge. The profession of the nurse of the examined youth is associated with the assistant, assistant doctor.

The bill is aimed to effectively regulate the profession of psychologist because of the failure to implement the previous Act on the profession of psychologist and professional self-government of psychologists. As no professional self-government for psychologists has been established it is now largely a dead law. The new Deputies’ bill is based also on the key role of the professional corpora‑ tion of psychologists and includes proposals for legal definitions. In the author’s view, the blanket nature of the bill on important issues and the lack of a diagnosis of the regulated area may raise concerns about the potential for a repeated regulatory failure.

Opis:
The type of qualification and the extent of professional practice are important elements in the appraisal of a professional. However, these categories are too narrow to characterise a particular teacher. That is why this paper presents a study on teachers’ ethos carried out in 2014. It was conducted among the group of 132 teachers and 123 parents with the use of questionnaires on paper or online. The main purpose of the study was to determine if ethos is still present on the list of social requirements for teachers, and whether its perception has changed in the course of time. The results revealed high levels of familiarity with the term among the respondents as well as the gradual decline of the value of ethos in the work of teachers.

The idea of the moral good is considered a desirable and appreciated real existence. With reference to teachers it constitutes a personal pattern of judicious acting. Their special task is not only to teach necessary knowledge to students but also to instil moral conduct in them i.e. to form ‘a correct character’. This notion was present at the beginning of the 20th century and is also reflected in Archbishop Józef Bilczewski’s letter ‘The Character’ (1920). The ideas presented there remain still valid also in the present historic moment of the nation.

The aim of the paper is to examine whether their profession is a source of satisfaction for Polish accountants. The study used the results of a nationwide survey by the accountants association in Poland “2017 accountants’ portrait”. As it results from more than 2,500 responses by accountants, over three quarters of respondents assess their own job satisfaction highly. The image of an accountant satisfied with their job does not match the stereotypical perception of this profession. The respondents’ answers indicate that the level of satisfaction is related to the position held and the remuneration received. The perception of accountants as “generators of additional costs” or “business impediments” is also significant, which can lower satisfaction with working in accounting. The paper employs methods of a source analysis and a diagnostic survey. The data collected in the survey was analysed using simple statistical methods and was appropriately presented.

The article is devoted to the phenomenon of occupational burnout in social services professions. Occupational burnout was first reported in the seventies. Intense civilization changes and increasing demands placed on social services have caused that the psychological costs they incur. At work, doctors, nurses, teachers, emergency workers, police officers and others are becoming more and more significant. Representatives of these professions are exposed to severe stress, which they can not cope with, are permanently tired, exhausted, are less and less satisfied with the work they do. Taking up the fight with such burdens, they distance themselves from the people they help. Over time, their involvement in the profession is getting weaker. They change it or go into premature retirement. These phenomena are commonly called “burnout”.

The article deals with a very crucial question of the legal status of physicians in Poland. The question asked is whether a physician who works as a sole practitioner may be recognized as a person performing a liberal profession, a public trust profession (a category specifi c only as far as Polish domestic law concerned), or a regulated profession (according to Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifi cations). Consequently, first the concepts of a liberal, regulated and public trust professions are analysed. Another important question to be answered is if physicians practicing as sole traders are undertakings in the meaning of the EU law and if they are what their status is. The vastest exclusion in terms of the subject and object of the legislation was provided by the Regulation on Industrial Law issued by Poland’s President on 7 June 1927 which excluded the activity conducted by physicians. Under Article 3 of the President’s Regulation the Commercial Code 27 June 1934, all liberal professions were also excluded from activities considered to be a form of entrepreneurship. This attitude changed in postwar Poland and the Act of 23 December 1988 on Economic Activity provided for no exclusion for any liberal profession from being regarded as economic activity. The Act of 19 November 1999 on Economic Activity excluded from its scope only entities that provided legal services (barristers and solicitors) and those rendering services in the area of industrial property. Today, under Polish law physicians are considered to be an undertaking in two situations: when they conduct their activities in the form of so-called ‘private practice’ (one-person undertaking), or when they conduct their practice within so-called ‘collective practice’ (partnership). They are not regarded as undertakings when they are employed by a medical institution or another medical entity on the basis of an employment contract. In such a case they fall under the provisions of the Act of 15 April 2011 on Medical Activities, but still keep the status of liberal profession.

On 26th October 2015, the President of Poland signed The Physiotherapist Profession Act, which regulates the legal status of this profession. It normalizes numerous issues including pursuing the profession of a physiotherapist, educational requirements, professional liability, the functioning of professional self-government, etc. Therefore, we need to figure out if, in the current situation, the physiotherapist profession has the features that allow its recognition as a liberal profession and the profession of public trust. It is all the more important because in the course of the work on the bill of the physiotherapist profession, the opinions on this issue varied.

Architektów Krajobrazu IFLA EU to organizacja zrzeszająca architektów krajobrazu Europy. Od 2000 roku jest częścią IFLA World, wcześniej federacja była niezależną instytucją i nosiła nazwę EFLA. Jednym z najważniejszych celów prac zarówno oddziału europejskiego IFLA, jak i dawnej EFLA jest wzmacnianie i propagowanie zawodu architekta krajobrazu. Od lat realizowane są projekty mające za zadanie rozpoznanie stanu i pozycji zawodu w krajach europejskich. Jednym z nich jest ukończony w tym roku projekt PQD (Professional Qualifications Directive) prowadzony przez prof. Fritza Auwecka. Efektem projektu jest m.in. zebranie danych dotyczących stanu regulacji zawodu. Kontynuacją tego działania jest projekt PRA (Professional Recognition Assistance) wspierający zrzeszone organizacje w regulacji zawodu na szczeblu krajowym. Zespół roboczy to: Tony Williams - prezydent IFLA EU, Hermann Georg Gunnlaugsson – wiceprezydent, prof. Fritz Auweck – kierownik projektu PQD, Urszula Forczek-Brataniec – sekretarz generalny IFLA EU. Uzyskane dotychczas dane pozwalają stwierdzić, że obecnie w siedmiu krajach Unii Europejskiej zawód jest uregulowany na podstawie systemu izbowego. W krajach skandynawskich obowiązuje system pozbawiony izb zawodowych, natomiast w pozostałych krajach regulacje dokonywane są na poziomie lokalnego prawa lub nie występują. Dodatkowo, prawa do wykonywania zawodu w krajach, gdzie jest on uregulowany, również różnią się od siebie. Zebrany materiał zakreśla szeroki wachlarz możliwości stabilizacji zawodu, na różnych szczeblach. Obrazuje sposób osadzenia prawnego zawodu i zakres możliwości jego wykonywania, a także pozwalają na nowo spojrzeć na sprawę regulacji zawodu w Polsce.

Zawód fizjoterapeuty został uregulowany w nowej Ustawie z dnia 25 września 2015 r. o zawodzie fizjoterapeuty. Ustanowiono w niej obowiązek poinformowania samorządu zawodowego o zamiarze powrotu do wykonywania zawodu fizjoterapeuty po dłuższej przerwie i obowiązek odbycia dodatkowego szkolenia. Taka regulacja może oddziaływać na swobodę wykonywania zawodu fizjoterapeuty. W związku z tym należy ustalić wpływ powyższych obowiązków na prawo do wykonywania zawodu i zadania organu samorządu zawodowego decydującego o szczegółowych warunkach obowiązkowego szkolenia.
The physiotherapist profession was regulated in the new Physiotherapist Profession Act of 25th September 2015, establishing the obligation to inform the professional self-government about the intention of returning to the physiotherapist profession after a longer break, as well as the obligation to undergo the additional training. This regulation may influence the freedom of practising the profession of a physiotherapist. Therefore, there is a need to figure out both the influence of the above-mentioned obligations on the right to practise the profession and the duties of the professional self-government entity determining the detailed conditions of due mandatory training.

To sum up, professional liability is an additional mode of responsibility, not included in the common law. Professional liability occurs when medical personnel violate provisions on the practice of the profession or act against the rules ofprofessional ethics. Professional responsibility is borne for a breach of the principles of medical ethics or provisions relating to the practice of medical profession. Medical personnel may be punished for professional misconduct by: admonition, reprimand, prohibition on holding managerial positions in organizational health care entities for a period from one to five years, prohibition on holding a position of one’s choice in the bodies of self-government for the period from one to five years, limitation on activities within the profession for a period from six months to two years, suspension of the right to practice the profession for a period from one to five years, deprivation of the right to practice the profession. A doctor and dentist have the right to appeal against the decision of the Medical Court at II instance in any case, regardless of the imposed punishment. A nurse and midwife may appeal against the decision of the Supreme Court of Nurses and Midwives only in the case the penalty of suspension or deprivation of the right to practice the profession. There is a widespread opinion that it is very difficult for a victim to get a positive outcome in the medical courts, even in the cases of obvious medical errors or negligence.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu koncepcji regulowania zawodu dziennikarza w Polsce. Celem analizy było zarówno określenie kategorii zawodów (zawody zaufania publicznego, wolne zawody), do której należy zaliczyć działalność dziennikarską, jak również ustalenie czynników (wyznaczników zawodowości) przesądzających o odrębności zawodu dziennikarza. Badania zmierzały do ustalenia, czy istnieje potrzeba defi niowania zawodu dziennikarskiego. Wydaje się, że decydujące znaczenie dla dziennikarstwa będzie posiadać wykładnia stałych wyznaczników zawodowości, bowiem powołanie podobnych, a nawet jednakowo brzmiących przesłanek (np. misyjności) może prowadzić do zasadniczo różnych koncepcji dziennikarstwa. To nie dobór wyznaczników, lecz sposób, w jaki będzie następować ich interpretacja, przesądzi o kierunku zmian w dziennikarstwie.
This article deals with the overview of conceptions of regulating the journalist profession in Poland. The aim is to analyze both the category of professions (professions of public trust, liberal professions, journalistic activities), and factors (determinants of professionalism) having an impact on the autonomy of journalistic profession. The goal is to examine whether there is a need to defi ne the profession of journalists. The research underlines the importance of permanent determinants of professionalism; it argues that the introduction of new variables (see for instance journalistic mission) might lead to basically different conceptions of journalism. The paper concludes that the way in which variables are being interpreted will have an impact on discussions of the future of journalism profession.
