Opis:

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought most forms of communication to the web. Most of those who are interested can learn about the activities of their favourite football club mainly from official websites and accounts on social networks. Due to the deepening climate crisis and the growing awareness of the society, so many people demand very detailed information about corporate environmental impact. Nowadays, a professional football club, wishing to maintain high popularity, should be focusing not only on sports results, but also on attitudes towards the environment and society it presents and promotes. The great example in that case can be top football clubs in the European league because, many other football clubs copy solutions from the best. This paper examines the 5 of top European football clubs’ activities area for the better natural environment and the way how these activities are communicated to the football fans. The main research was conducted using publicly available electronic information channels such as football clubs’ websites, reports or social media (like Facebook) accounts. The aim of the article is to indicate to what extent the functioning and reporting of leading football clubs is also subject to the principles of sustainable development in the field of the natural environment. The results can indicate the significance of the current contribution of the top European football clubs to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, as well as setting the directions of sustainable development for other football clubs in the future.

The aim of the article is to analyze the results of surveys on women’s knowledge about FAS and its consequences for the development of a child’s speech and communication. 130 women between 18 and 50 years old took part in the survey. A significant proportion of the surveyed women are aware of the problems and consequences of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome caused by the mother’s alcohol consumption during pregnancy.

Przez wiele lat jedynym sposobem porozumiewania się maszynisty maszyny wyciągowej z brygadą w naczyniu była linka rewizyjna. Sytuacja taka stwarzała pole do powstawania różnych zagrożeń podczas prowadzenia ruchu maszyny, stąd pod koniec lat 80-tych ubiegłego wieku zaczęto tworzyć urządzenia pozwalające w lepszy sposób realizować łączność w szybach. W artykule przedstawiona zostanie droga rozwoju tych urządzeń, stan aktualny rozwiązań technicznych oraz dalsze kierunki rozwoju.
One and only method of communication between a winding-machine operator and a staff in a cage was a method using an inspection rope. That situation created possibilities that various risks may happen at operation of a winder, hence at the end of 80s in the last century, construction of new equipment began to allow better communication in shafts to be made. The stages of development of the communication equipment, a current state of technical solutions as well as further direction of development have been shown in the paper.

Technologie komunikacji cyfrowej, światowe wstrząsy polityczne, fale silnego aktywizmu i protesty spowodowały, że badania nad komunikacją znów stały się niezbędne. Można dyskutować, jak teoria komunikacji jest w stanie odpowiedzieć na to wyzwanie i czy stare teorie są adekwatne w stosunku do nowo zaistniałych warunków. Niniejszy artykuł jest w zamierzeniu częścią tej dyskusji i zwraca się ponownie do pragmatyki Habermasa, jednego z klasyków komunikacji XX w., aby podjąć refleksję nad tym, jak komunikacja i inne formy aktywności oddziałują na siebie w kampaniach dotyczących zmian społecznych, w kontekście rosnącego zasięgu komunikacji strategicznej oraz rosnącej roli mediów społecznościowych w aktywizmie. Artykuł zaczyna się od przedstawienia teoretycznego rozłamu jako problemu wielu podobszarów komunikacji, takich jak komunikacja publiczna, PR, komunikacja dla zmiany społecznej oraz komunikacja rozwojowa, którą opisuję jako szczególny przykład. Nowsze badania odstąpiły od tej problematyki. W zamian badacze podkreślają potrzebę przyjęcia nieliniowych modeli komunikacji dla zmiany społecznej i decydują się na przyjęcie hybrydowości jako rozwiązania teoretycznego zamętu w ramach tej dziedziny. Celem analizy przedstawionej w niniejszym artykule jest wykazanie, że pragmatyka komunikacji Habermasa dobrze objaśnia skomplikowane praktyki prowadzenia kampanii w sposób spójny, a także ekspansywny teoretycznie. Odczytanie Habermasa na nowo umożliwia również udzielenie odpowiedzi na postulaty wysuwane przez badaczy ruchów społecznych, aby wyjść poza granice strategii i uznać znaczenie szerszych konwersacji i skryptów kulturowych. Konceptualizacja publicznych kampanii jako ciągów aktów mowy, zdefiniowanych tutaj jako akty językowe i pozajęzykowe, daje nam narzędzie analityczne do pracy na różnych poziomach, w różnych miejscach oraz z różnymi aktorami zaangażowanymi w działania promujące społeczną zmianę, a także uprzywilejowuje komunikację jako mechanizm wyjaśniający współczesną praktykę zmiany społecznej. I wreszcie, powrót do dzieł Habermasa podkreśla znaczenie uzasadnionej pozycji, z której wchodzimy w reakcję z innymi w świecie społecznym, stawiające ją ponad pożądaną tożsamość. Zachęca to do poświęcenia uwagi działaniu i jego podstawie (pozycji moralnej), a nie atrybutom przypisanym organizacji i działaczom (tożsamość). A zatem, nacisk przesuwa się z pytania „Czy lubisz mnie/ufasz mi wystarczająco, aby za mną podążyć?” na ważniejsze pytanie „Czy to jest dobre działanie?”.
The combined effects of digital communication technologies, political upheavals around the world, waves of powerful activism and protests have injected a new urgency into communication research. How communication theory is able to respond to this challenge is a matter of discussion, including the question of the adequacy of older theories to the new circumstances. This paper, aims to add to this discussion by returning to Habermas’s pragmatics, one of the 20th century communication classics, to reflect on how communication and other forms of action interact in campaigns for social change in the context of the growing reach of strategic communication and the growing role of social media in activism. This article starts by posing theoretical disjuncture as a problem shared by a number of communication subfields, such as public communication, public relations, communication for social change, and my particular example, development communication. The more recent scholarship, however, has moved away from this state of knowledge. Instead, scholars highlight the need to embrace non-linear models of communication for social change, and appear to embrace hybridity to deal with the theoretical confusion in the field. The analysis presented in this article aims to demonstrate that Habermas’s communication pragmatics works well to explicate complex campaigning practices in a consistent and yet theoretically expansive way. Re-reading Habermas makes it possible also to respond to the call articulated by social movement scholars to move beyond the limits of strategy and to recognize the importance of larger cultural conversations and scripts. Conceptualizing public campaigning as chains of speech acts, defined here as both linguistic and nonlinguistic acts, offers an analytical tool that works across different levels, spaces, and actors involved in social change efforts and that privileges communication as the explanatory mechanism for the contemporary social change praxis. Finally, returning to Habermas’s work underscores the importance of a valid position, rather than a desirable identity, from which to engage with others in the social world. This invites a clear and consistent focus on action and its basis (moral position) rather than on attributions ascribed to organizations and campaigners (identity). The key question thus shifts from ‘Do you like me/trust me sufficiently follow me?’ to a more substantial, ‘Is this a good thing to do?’.

Opis:

State security management, like any organisation, requires not only the provision of appropriate forces and resources but also the proper transmission of information and messages. Only the ability to send and receive messages correctly ensures efficient implementation of assigned tasks, their understanding, and execution. For the process of managing them to proceed properly, it is essential to follow the rules of interpersonal communication. In this context, it is necessary to further define the elements of communication competence. They can be divided into five psychological and linguistic components. They are also determinants of proper communication (i.e. correct, appropriate, and at the same time effective). These include having a high level of communication awareness, presenting a high communication culture, active listening, using appropriate feedback, and avoiding communication barriers. The results of research on the communication competences of the surveyed students allow us to draw the conclusion that their level of communication awareness is too low, which is a quite a disturbing phenomenon, because it is the awareness of mistakes made or deficiencies and ignorance in the discussed area that is an essential element of improving communication competence. The multitude of aspects for which communication competences are of great importance is almost unlimited, and therefore emphasing the need for their guided development and improvement is a priority.

W związku z tym uzasadnione wydaje się prowadzenie na podstawie diagnozy i ewaluacji oddziaływań rozwijających kompetencje komunikacyjne nieletnich, tym bardziej, że większość z nich posiada w tym zakresie duże deficyty. Prezentowany artykuł zawiera wyniki badań ewaluacyjnych, które potwierdzają możliwość skutecznego rozwijania kompetencji komunikacyjnych wychowanków w warunkach resocjalizacji instytucjonalnej.
Communication competences are among key social skills, allowing people to fulfil their own needs in concordance with applicable norms. Research proves that their development constitutes an important factor preventing from engagement in peer crime in the adolescence period and plays a significant role in proper social adaptation. Therefore is seems justified tocarry out activities developing communication competences in minors, based on diagnosis and evaluation, also due to the fact that the majority of them have large deficits in that regard. The article contains the results of evaluation studies confirming the possibility of effective development of communication competences of pupils in institutional social rehabilitation environment.

Children entering institutional education can activate the linguistic and non-linguistic norms they bring from home. These norms, however, are very diverse in their nature and children from the same age-group remain at different levels in terms of language-acquisition. W tekście prezentuję taki sposób rozumowania, zgodnie z którym rozwój zdolności komunikacyjnych w zakresie komunikacji międzykulturowej jest złożonym procesem, który przynosi najlepsze efekty, jeśli jest motywowany wewnętrznie – indywidualnymi dążeniami podmiotu. Takie motywacje pomagają, a w zasadzie tylko one umożliwiają zrozumienie Innego, w oparciu o przekraczanie własnych granic poznawczych. Wrażliwość na różnice kulturowe, świadomość tego, jakie one są i jak można je wyznaczać, podnoszą poziom empatii. Wzmacnianie kompetencji kulturowych w zakresie komunikacji międzykulturowych sprzyja rozumieniu innych, osób reprezentujących najróżniej definiowane grupy i kategorie społeczne. Sprzyja to redukowaniu zjawiska „niewidzialnych grup” – takich, które są postrzegane jako niekomfortowy partner komunikacyjny, którego się unika.
In my text I try to argue that intercultural communication development is a complex process, which results in best effects if it is based on deep personal motivations. Those motivations, if directed towards understanding others, help to overcome barriers and own limits of an acting subject. I argue that the awareness of cultural differences and knowledge of their various understandings increase empathy and intercultural sensitivity. Solid communication skills allow confrontations with persons representing many various social categories and social groups. Such communication skills help also to eliminate the negative phenomenon of “invisible gropus”: social partners who are pre-judged as difficult ones, therefore avoided in communication situations.

Samorządy w Polsce stopniowo dokonują zwrotu ku zwięzłej komunikacji planów, jednak rola przekazu graficznego jest marginalizowana. Tymczasem ilustracja jest bardzo skuteczną formą komunikacji i instrumentem kształtowania polityki rozwoju.
Development strategies, according to regional policies, should be based on community partnership. In practice it means that documents should be simple and comprehensible, also through application of various communication methods. Local Authorities in Poland gradually evolve towards concise development plans, but a role of graphic expression is marginal. However illustrations are very effective form of communication and influencing development policies.

The presented diagnostic study concerning intercultural competence was carried out in the pedagogical context of intercultural education. The research place was chosen purposively: it resulted from the intercultural character of Białystok. In the interwar period that the study refers to, the biggest national groups in the town were Poles and Jews. There were also Belarusians, Russians, Germans and Tatars. As part of the analysis of intercultural competence of students from Poland and Israel I focused on the respondents’ declarations concerning their knowledge of the social structure of pre-war Białystok. Then, I determined what motivates secondary school students to learn about the past. Developing the competence in the affective/motivational area is of key importance in intercultural communication. Identifying the reasons why secondary school students from Poland and Israel find it worth learning about the history of their ancestors is as important as knowledge of the history of our cultural group and other cultures. It was also important to determine the level of Polish youths’ readiness to communicate with students from Israel, and vice versa. Diagnosing the students’ competence allows educators to plan adequate educational activities aimed at broadening intercultural competence, to strengthen the existing resources, to improve the weak points, and fill in the gaps.

США були другими у цьому змаганні. Це означало, що ці країни здолали останній бар’єр на шляху до створення світових комунікацій на початку ХХ ст. Розглядаються політичні, дипломатичні, економічні, комерційні аспекти цього домінування Британської Імперії та США до та під час Першої світової війни. Здійснюється комплексний аналіз застосування цих комунікацій (телеграф, телефон, радіо) країнами-учасниками цієї війни у стратегічних, тактичних і міжнародно-політичних цілях.
The first intercontinental links in the history of communication development that encompass the period between 1850’s and the end of World War I have been systematically detected for the first time in historical and political sciences. Special attention has been given to the global usage of telegraph by the British Empire which was the first country in the world to lay transatlantic and transpacific cables. The USA was the second in this competition. This means that these countries overcame the last barrier to world communications at the very beginning of the XXth century. Political, diplomatic, economic, commercial aspects of this dominance by the British Empire and the USA before and during World War I have been observed. A complex analysis of these communications usage (telegraph, telephone, radio) by the countries – main participants of this war for tactical, strategic, international and political purposes has been conducted.

Ze względu na rozwój społeczno-gospodarczy miast coraz większe znaczenie ma infrastruktura komunikacyjna na ich terenie. Elementy infrastruktury obejmujące obiekty komunikacji zbiorowej oraz łączące je ciągi piesze powinny być planowane w szczególny sposób, ze względu na dużą liczbę osób, które z nich korzystają oraz ich komfort. Opisane w artykule prace studialne miały na celu wstępne rozpoznanie obecnych oraz przyszłościowych potrzeb komunikacyjnych mieszkańców Zielonej Góry, lokalnego przemysłu, a także turystyki. Przeprowadzona analiza uzyskanych danych może stanowić podstawę dalszych prac, zmierzających do utworzenia Zielonogórskiego Centrum Komunikacyjnego. Zrealizowanie tego przedsięwzięcia wpłynie na jakość i wydajność korzystania z różnych środków transportu oraz z ciągów komunikacyjnych przy jednoczesnej segregacji poszczególnych użytkowników ruchu, co z pewnością podniesie poziom bezpieczeństwa. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu podkreślenie wagi planowania rozwiązań komunikacyjnych w centrach miast, poprzedzonego badaniami i analizą rzeczywistych warunków ruchu oraz potrzeb mieszkańców.
Due to the socio-economic development of cities, the communication infrastructure in their area is becoming more and more important. Elements of infrastructure including public transport facilities and connecting footpaths should be planned with special care due to a large number of people who use them and for their comfort. The studies described in the paper were aimed at preliminary identification of current and future communication needs of the inhabitants of the Zielona Góra city, the local industry and tourism. The analysis of the obtained data may form the basis for further work, the goal of which is to establish the Communication Centre in the Zielona Góra city. The implementation of this project will affect quality and efficiency of using various means of transport and communication routes, at the same time enabling segregation of individual traffic users, which will certainly increase the level of safety. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the importance of planning communication solutions in city centres, preceded by research and analysis of real traffic conditions and needs of the inhabitants.

Istotnym elementem publikacji jest analiza zasadności włączenia takiego rozwiązania w proces edukacji dzieci korzystających z alternatywnych i wspomagających metod komunikacji (AAC) w kontekście poprawy jakości ich życia rodzinnego i społecznego.
Personal Communication Passport (PCP) – a tool supporting people with communication problems is presented in the paper. We describe a computer programme designed for mobile devices, acting as Multimodal, Personal Communication Passport (MPCP) which is equipped with a possibility to use multimodal data, such as images, audio and video recordings. In addition, we present an analysis of usefulness of MPCPs in the educational process of children using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in the context of improving social and family life quality.

Along with switching to on-line conversations on a global level due to quarantine restrictions, the importance of English language competency, becomes from day to day more and more evident. Since the initiation of quarantine it has become essential for higher education institutions to launch the search on new forms and methods capable of not only teaching foreign language, but of developing creative thinking and communication skills in future professionals. The paper describes the specifics of storytelling as a modern communication tool, suggests a new approach to the development and evaluation of communication skills in English by the technique of student storytelling online and proves the effectiveness of this technique. The research was conducted on the basis of Foreign (Professional) Language Curricula at three Ukrainian Universities, namely: Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Lutsk Pedagogical College, and Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. The research included 78 participants (16-18 years old). The technique, based on the developmental and evaluation criteria related to the structure and style of the whole online student story, was tested in three stages - introductory, intermediate and final evaluation of online student storytelling skills. Each of the stages was followed by the training on the rules and strategies for effective storytelling and individual analysis of student’s mistakes. By the results of the pilot study, all of the three experimental stages are characterized by the dynamic increase in general level of online student storytelling skills (p<0.01). Thus, a designed technique for communication skills development and evaluation by means of student storytelling online has been proved to be effective.

W niniejszej pracy poddano analizie działanie muzykoterapii na rozwój mowy u osób z porażeniem mózgowym. Artykuł podsumowuje wyniki analizy teoretycznej rozwoju zdolności komunikacji u tych osób z punktu widzenia nauczania specjalnego, logopedii i muzykoterapii. Metodologia badania została oparta na metodzie jakościowej, łączącej analizę treści i interpretację studium przypadku. Celem badania było ustalenie związku pomiędzy poziomem zdolności mowy u osób z porażeniem mózgowym a działaniem muzykoterapii: założonymi przez nią celami, metodami, planem działania i zastosowanym materiałem muzycznym. W próbie badawczej wzięło udział 10 osób z porażeniem mózgowym o różnym stopniu zdolności mowy. Zgromadzenie danych poprzedzone było dogłębną analizą treści zawartych w dostępnej dokumentacji, nagraniach dźwiękowych, nagraniach wideo, utworach stosowanych w muzykoterapii oraz rozmowach z muzykoterapeutami. W wyniku badania rozróżniono cztery etapy występujące podczas trwania muzykoterapii (prewerbalny, semantyczny, fonologiczny oraz etap złożonych  konstrukcji lingwistycznych). W przypadku każdego z tych etapów opisane zostały jego standardowe cele, metody i narzędzia.
This paper deals with the analysis of music therapy interventions focused on the development of speech production in individuals with cerebral palsy (CP). The paper summarizes the results of theoretical analysis of the development of communication for persons with CP from the perspective of special education, speech therapy and music therapy intervention. The research methodology was based on qualitative design with a combination of content analysis and interpretive approach to case studies. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between the level of speech production of people with CP and goals of music therapy intervention, its methods and procedures and musical materials used in music therapy practice. The research sample consisted of 10 individuals with CP and different levels of speech production. Data collection was based on an in-depth case analysis of available data from documents, video and audio recordings, music therapy products and interviews with music therapists. The research results have identified four stages of music therapy intervention (pre-verbal, semantic, phonological and stadium of complex linguistic phenomena). In each stage typical goals, methods and tools were described.

Soft competencies are of great importance for software developers like designers, programmers, testers, and maintainers. These competencies are also important for software companies in team work, interaction with stakeholders, etc. The main problem is to determine in which way soft competencies should be developed. In this paper a sustainable soft competences development of software developers is proposed. The relation between competences are important in the approach, hence influence diagrams between competences should be determined. Based on our research and literature analysis a competence model is proposed suitable for IT companies. These communication skills have the largest influence on other skills. A training cycle for software developers is proposed, to reach the goal of sustainable competency development. The training solution is reviewed and analyzed.

Introduction. Thorough speech therapy diagnosis and early and systematic rehabilitation of hearing and speech have significant influence on effective acquisition of communication skills by deaf children. Aim. The aim of the present research was to assess the developent of communication skills of a child suffering from prelingual deep hearing loss. Materials and methods. The research was conducted on a boy with hearing prosthetic devices due to the bilateral severe sensorineural hearing loss diagnosed at the age of 1 year and 3 months. The assessment of child’s communication skills was conducted by means of Communication Skills Evaluation Form (1992) by Kazimiera Krakowiak and Maria Panasiuk. Results. Significant increase of communication skills is observed in the category of phonetic behaviours with the simultaneous slight increase of gesture and mimic communication skills. The observed way in which the child communicates with others is characteristic for the period of specific child’s speech. Conclusions. The discussed results of the speech test for the deaf or hearing impaired show that severe prelingual hearing impairment constitutes a barrier which is, however, possible to overcome if the appropriate diagnostic and therapeutical actions are taken.
Wprowadzenie. Duży wpływ na efektywne nabywanie sprawności komunikacyjnych przez dzieci niesłyszące ma m.in. rzetelnie przeprowadzona diagnoza logopedyczna i wcześnie podjęta i systematyczna rehabilitacja słuchu i mowy. Cel pracy. Celem prezentowanych badań była ocena rozwoju sprawności komunikacyjnych dziecka z prelingwalnym głębokim uszkodzeniem słuchu. Materiał i metody. W badaniu wziął udział chłopiec zaopatrzony w aparaty słuchowe ze względu na zdiagnozowany w wieku 1 roku i 3 miesięcy obustronny niedosłuch zmysłowo-nerwowy głębokiego stopnia. Oceny umiejętności komunikacyjnych dziecka dokonano przy zastosowaniu Karty Oceny Zachowań Komunikacyjnych (1992) Kazimiery Krakowiak i Marii Panasiuk. Wyniki. Wyraźny wzrost umiejętności komunikacyjnych obserwuje się w kategorii zachowań fonicznych przy jednoczesnym niewielkim przyroście umiejętności w zakresie porozumiewania się gestowo-mimicznego. Zaobserwowany sposób komunikowania się dziecka z innymi osobami pozwala na umieszczenie jego rozwoju mowy w okresie swoistej mowy dziecięcej. Wnioski. Omówione wyniki badania surdologopedycznego pokazują, iż niedosłuch głęboki jest barierą, ale możliwą do pokonania, jeśli zostaną podjęte odpowiednie działania diagnostyczno-terapeutyczne w tym kierunku.

The experimental research presented in this paper concerning the evaluation and the development of oral ability of Polish children with impaired hearing system. The aim of the research was the assessment, evaluation of positive changes in the level of oral development. The research have been conducted with the use of two computer attachments: Laryngograph Processor PCLX and Nosality, connected to a PC computer. The obtained results and following practical conclusions can serve as guidelines in clinical and logopedical applications in voice rehabilitation and communication development of groups of non-hearing children whose native language is not necessarily Polish.

The article summarizes the results of the pilot study on the implementation of the model of information and communication competencies of the university teaching staff that was conducted at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Ukraine, and describes the basic stages of the research and the conditions of an effective implementation of the model. The article examines ways of improving the quality of higher education in Ukraine in the context of European quality standards for university educational space. The European standards and guidelines are considered in relation to internal quality assurance. The author examines the model of ICT competencies of teaching and research stuff and describes structural components of this model: motivational target component, organizational and procedural com- ponent, contents and operational and technological component, diagnostic and effective components. The article suggests tools to measure the level of educators’ formation in the ICT competence of teaching and research stuff. The tools are considered in accordance with the form activities of teaching and research stuff. The tools are formed in accordance with the recommendations of UNESCO Standards and Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area, namely: understanding and awareness of the role of ICT in education, and basic use of ICT tools.

The article describes the experience of conducting speech therapy with a bilingual (sequential bilingualism) boy of Vietnamese origin in preschool age. The authors identify main differences between Czech and Vietnamese, and also point to specific linguistic interference occurring in the case of a Vietnamese-speaking person learning Czech. The aim of the authors is to describe the development of the boy’s language skills and the possibilities for his language development in kindergarten and during preparatory classes for school education. Speech therapy aimed at supporting the development of communication skills lasted seven months and involved the inclusion of multi-sensory games and activities to support various language levels. Particular emphasis was placed on auditory differentiation (including vowel quantity), auditory memory and phonological awareness (including the division of words into syllables and the analysis and synthesis of sounds).
W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia w prowadzeniu terapii logopedycznej z bilingwalnym (dwujęzyczność sekwencyjna) chłopcem pochodzenia wietnamskiego w wieku przedszkolnym. Autorzy identyfikują główne różnice między językiem czeskim i wietnamskim, a także wskazują na konkretne interferencje językowe występujące w przypadku osoby wietnamskojęzycznej uczącej się czeskiego. Celem autorów jest opis rozwoju umiejętności językowych wspomnianego chłopca oraz możliwości jego rozwoju językowego w przedszkolu oraz w trakcie zajęć przygotowawczych do edukacji szkolnej. Terapia logopedyczna ukierunkowana na wspieranie rozwoju umiejętności komunikacyjnych trwała siedem miesięcy i obejmowała włączenie gier i zabaw oddziałujących na wiele zmysłów, tak aby wspierać różne poziomy językowe. Szczególny nacisk był położony na rozróżnienie (m.in. ilości samogłosek), pamięć słuchową oraz świadomość fonologiczną (m.in. podział słowa na sylaby i analizę oraz syntezę dźwięków).

Śledząc historię cywilizacji stwierdzić można, że stałym jej elementem był proces komunikacji, który zapewniał wymianę informacji i stanowił o rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczym kolejnych pokoleń. Proces ten przebiegał w formie ustnej lub pisemnej i przyjmował postać różnego rodzaju ‘tekstów’, które składają się na dokumentację podjętej komunikacji lub przyczynku do niej. Słuchane lub czytane ‘teksty’ stanowią po dziś dzień bazę dla rozwoju kompetencji komunikacyjnej, wpisanej w proces kształcenia, a tym samym w proces rozwoju jednostki i społeczeństwa. Świadomość znaczenia materiału tekstowego, jako nośnika informacji oraz bazy dla kształcenia kompetencji ogólnych, umiejętności praktycznych oraz kompetencji komunikacyjnych, wymusza na organizatorach procesu dydaktycznego – nauczycielach – wykorzystywanie różnych wypowiedzi i tekstów do kształcenia sprawności receptywnych będących bazą dla produkcji językowej, tj. umiejętności budowy wypowiedzi ustnej i pisemnej, która podlega ocenie po zakończeniu każdego z etapów edukacyjnych. Efektywność kształcenia kompetencji komunikacyjnej zależy od rodzajów zastosowanych ‘wypowiedzi’ i ‘tekstów’, od stopnia ich dostosowania do wieku, zainteresowań, możliwości i umiejętności oraz potrzeb uczących się, oraz od przygotowania nauczycieli do działań dydaktycznych mających na celu kształcenie komunikacji ustnej i pisemnej uczniów, tj. stosowania odpowiednich metod, strategii i technik pracy z tekstem lub/i na tekście, które gwarantują uczniom rozwijanie na lekcji języka obcego receptywnych, a także produktywnych sprawności językowych potrzebnych w procesie komunikacji.
The article “Teacher’s preparation to work with texts, as the basis for the development of communication competence for the participants of the didactic process” is an attempt to analyse didactic skills of a teacher working with a chosen text with the aim of developing particular language skills that facilitate participation in oral and written communication. The basis for the consideration are: Jakobson’s communication models as well as Grucza’s language education model that show interdependence of sender-teacher message-pattern of an utterance with its recipient – a student who must learn the pattern – and thus they entail combining them in one framework illustrating the process of communication competence education during Polish or foreign language classes. In the article there are provided various types of texts used at different educational levels as statement patterns for students, as well as methods, strategies and techniques of working on a text and an example of working with a text i.e. a sequence of exercises allowing for language production. All the presented teacher’s activities boil down to the conclusion that effective communication competence teaching to learners is possible only when s/he has got the knowledge and educational, didactic and methodical skills thanks to which s/he can properly plan and lead the teaching process of oral and written communication that is the main goal of language education.

Celem artykułu jest próba oceny poziomu wiedzy nauczycieli na temat zaburzeń rozwoju mowy i komunikacji dzieci i młodzieży z zaburzeniami ze spektrum autyzmu. W badaniach ankietowych, przeprowadzonych w lutym 2021 roku, wzięło udział 200 nauczycieli edukacji przedszkolnej oraz szkolnej. Na podstawie analizy wyników, stwierdza się, że nauczyciele posiadają wiedzę na temat zaburzeń ze spektrum autyzmu, jednak wiedza ta jest na poziomie podstawowym – na wynik nie ma wpływu staż pracy. Większą wiedzę w tym zakresie posiadają nauczyciele szkół i przedszkoli specjalnych i integracyjnych niż pracownicy dydaktyczni szkół ogólnodostępnych. Respondenci wskazali sposoby pogłębiania swojej wiedzy oraz oczekiwania w stosunku do pracodawcy, aby pozyskać jeszcze więcej informacji (zwłaszcza praktycznych) na temat podejścia terapeutycznego uczniów z ASD.
The aim of the article is an attempt to assess the level of teachers’ knowledge of speech development and communication disorders in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. 200 teachers of pre-school and school education participated in the survey conducted in February 2021. Based on the analysis of the results, it is concluded that teachers have knowledge about autism spectrum disorders, however, this knowledge is at a basic level – the result is not influenced by seniority. Teachers of special and integrated schools and kindergartens have greater knowledge in this respect than teachers of mass schools. The respondents indicated ways to broaden their knowledge and expectations towards the employer in order to obtain even more information (especially practical) on the therapeutic approach of students with ASD.

This article is devoted to selected aspects of scientific communication in Poland. Its aim is to draw attention to the role of scientific communication in public understanding of science and to indicate the most important determinants of the development of scientific communication in Poland. It is assumed in the article that scientific communication and the popularization of research results are activities undertaken by scientists, science units and entities acting for the benefit of science in specific systemic, financial, legal or political conditions. Therefore, in order to assess the determinants of the development of scientific communication in a given country it is necessary, first of all, to get know the conditions in which it takes place. An institutional-legal analysis was used to prove this thesis. In the first, descriptive part of the article the history of the development of public understanding of science and its relationship with the development of scientific communication are mentioned, the second, research part refers to the results of the analysis of basic legal acts and available data in the scope of: the place and role of scientific communication in Polish scientific policy, including the present state of the higher education system and the solutions proposed in the reform of higher education prepared by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; the place and role of popularization of research results in the development strategy of a scientific unit on the example of the University of Gdańsk and university/researcher’s obligations in the field of scientific communication towards research funding institutions.
Artykuł poświęcony jest wybranym aspektom komunikacji naukowej w Polsce. Jego celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na rolę komunikacji naukowej w publicznym rozumieniu nauki i wskazanie najważniejszych uwarunkowań rozwoju komunikacji naukowej w Polsce. W artykule założono, że komunikacja naukowa oraz popularyzacja wyników badań to aktywności podejmowane przez naukowców, jednostki naukowe oraz podmioty działające na rzecz nauki w konkretnych warunkach systemowych, finansowych, prawnych czy politycznych. Dlatego ocena uwarunkowań rozwoju komunikacji naukowej w danym państwie wymaga w pierwszej kolejności poznania warunków, w jakich się ona odbywa. W celu udowodnienia tak postawionej tezy posłużono się analizą instytucjonalno-prawną. W pierwszej części artykułu (o charakterze opisowym) przywołano historię rozwoju publicznego rozumienia nauki i jej związki z rozwojem komunikacji naukowej, w drugiej części – badawczej – przywołano wyniki analizy podstawowych aktów prawnych i danych zastanych w zakresie: miejsca i roli komunikacji naukowej w polskiej polityce naukowej, w tym stan obecny systemu szkolnictwa wyższego oraz rozwiązania proponowane w opracowywanej przez Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego reformie szkolnictwa wyższego; miejsca i roli popularyzacji wyników badań w strategii rozwoju jednostki naukowej na przykładzie Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego oraz zobowiązań uczelni/naukowca w zakresie komunikacji naukowej wobec instytucji finansujących badania naukowe.

Wprowadzenie. Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie związku mediów elektronicznych na rozwój mowy i komunikacji u małego dziecka. W rozważaniach zwrócono szczególną uwagę na rolę środowiska społecznego podczas modelowania pierwszych cyfrowych doświadczeń dziecka. W artykule odwołano się m.in. do założeń teorii społecznego uczenia się Alberta Bandury. Opisano wskazówki i praktyczne działania, które mogą podejmować rodzice w zakresie stymulowania rozwoju poznawczego dziecka, a więc również rozwijania mowy i komunikacji. Przeanalizowano także korzyści i zagrożenia dla rozwoju poznawczego dziecka wynikające z obecności mediów elektronicznych w tym procesie. Cel. Celem artykułu jest teoretyczna analiza rozwoju mowy i komunikacji małego dziecka w kontekście obecności mediów elektronicznych w jego rozwoju. Materiały i metody. Autorki dokonują przeglądu teoretycznego na podstawie literatury przedmiotu. Wnioski. Krytyczne spojrzenie na obecność mediów w życiu rodziny umożliwia zidentyfikowanie zarówno zagrożeń, jak i korzyści dla rozwoju mowy i komunikacji dziecka wynikających z tego faktu. Istotna staje się zatem rola rodziców i opiekunów, którzy będą moderowali, a także wskazywali sposoby i formy korzystania przez dziecko z mediów, stosownie do aktualnego etapu jego rozwoju.
Introduction. This article deals with the issue of the presence of electronic media in the development of speech and communication of a small child. The discussion pays special attention to the role of the social environment while modeling a child’s first digital experiences. Among other things, the article refers to the assumptions of Albert Bandura’s social learning theory. The article also describes tips and practical measures worth taking to stimulate the child’s cognitive development and, as a result, speech and communication development. The benefits and threats to the child’s cognitive development resulting from the presence of electronic media in this process were also analyzed. Aim. The aim of the article was a theoretical analysis of the child’s speech and communication development in the context of the media’s presence in this process. Methods. The authors carry out a theoretical review based on the literature on the subject. Conclusions. A critical look at the presence of media in family life makes it possible to identify both the threats and benefits resulting from this factor in the development of the child’s speech and communication. Therefore, the role of parents and guardians becomes important as models who will moderate and indicate the ways and forms of media use by the child, adapting them to the child’s current stage of development.

Opis:

Tramwaje w Polsce są eksploatowane przez sumarycznie 15 miast, wliczając aglomerację Górnego Śląska. Wraz z szeroką dostępnością funduszy pomocowych UE, zwłaszcza POIiŚ (fundusze z budżetu UE 2007–2013), zdecydowana większość miast eksploatujących tramwaje, zmodernizowała zarówno infrastrukturę, jak i pozyskała fabrycznie nowy tabor. Swoją szansę wykorzystała przede wszystkim Pesa, dostarczając niskopodłogowe tramwaje dla większości polskich miast. Producent z Bydgoszczy także zrealizował zamówienia eksportowe, w szczególności dla Europy Wschodniej i Południowej. Inni producenci, tacy jak Bombardier czy Alstom także są wykonawcami zamówień na wyprodukowanie tramwajów dla miast w Polsce, a Solaris, poza produkcją krajową, realizuje zamówienia eksportowe do Niemiec. Obecnie rozstrzygane są kolejne przetargi na dostawy nowego taboru (fundusze z budżetu UE 2014–2020), oraz modernizacji infrastruktury tramwajowej, choć władze poszczególnych miast łączą całość z modernizacją systemów komunikacyjnych rozumianych kompleksowo, nadrabiając w ten sposób wieloletnie zapóźnienia, nierzadko kilkudziesięcioletnie. Podsumowując, wykonanie programów modernizacji systemów komunikacyjnych pokazało, iż dostępność środków finansowych jest tylko jednym z elementów sprawnej realizacji całości, poza stabilnym prawem, szeroką obecnością firm-wykonawców (w tym prywatnych), czy sprawnym systemem bankowym, udzielającym kredytów na korzystnych warunkach.
A total of 15 cities in Poland, including an agglomeration of Upper Silesia, exploit tramway systems of communication. Using EU help funds, especially POiS, the vast majority of the trams networks were modernized – infrastructure system were rebuilt and new vehicles were purchased in last 10 years. Pesa Bydgoszcz has delivered low-floor trams for the most cities in Poland and it is leader in this segment. This producer also got export orders for countries of Eastern and Southern Europe. Other manufacturers, such as Bombardier and Alstom, are also got orders for tram delivering for cities in Poland. Solaris, except delivering of new trams for Poznan and Olsztyn, also got export orders for German cities. Nowadays, new bids for new rolling stock as well as modernization of tramway infrastructure are settled. The authorities of individual cities combine the modernization of tramway infrastructure and modernization communication systems, thus making up for many years lateness, often several decades. Summarizing, performing modernization programs has showed that available funds are only one of the needed components, and the stable law system is necessary, the widespread presence of order executives and viable banking system, lending to favorable terms, in common.

W artykule przybliżono zagadnienia dotyczące mowy i szerzej pojmowanego procesu komunikacji dzieci z zaburzeniem ze spektrum autyzmu. Scharakteryzowano prawidłowości rozwoju mowy i komunikacji dzieci z ASD. Starano się także ukazać konsekwencje zaburzonego rozwoju mowy przekładające się na funkcjonowanie psychospołeczne. Wyjaśniono, czym jest komunikacja alternatywna i wspomagająca, oraz wskazano wykorzystywane metody w terapii dzieci ze spektrum autyzmu.
The article presents issues related to speech and the more widely understood process of communication of children with the autism spectrum disorder. The determinants of speech development and communication of children with ASD were characterized. Efforts were also made to show the consequences of disturbed speech development translating into psychosocial functioning. The paper explains the notions of the alternative and augmentative communication and describes the most frequently used methods in the treatment of children with the autism spectrum disorder.

Opis:

Polish press which develops outside Poland, particularly in the states where Poles have always lived (native communities), plays a particular role. It is an excellent tool for the integration within a group and it is perceived as a motivator to relate to the native country as well as the country of settlement. This function stems from the triad characteristics of diaspora media (native country, country of settlement and the environment of a national minority). The media integrate the recipients and support them in the face of political and social threats; they facilitate many cultural and social activities, intergroup dialogue and are a part of wider civic objectives and processes resulting from basic media roles.

This article describes contribution of the Kharkiv linguistic school to the formation of theory of non-verbal communication (NVC) and indicates the periods of its development in Ukrainian linguistics: from the psycholinguistic research of Oleksandr Potebnia (the late nineteenth century) to modern pragmalinguistic studies. The article aims to familiarise the European scholarly community with theoretical achievements of world-class Ukrainian linguists: Oleksandr Potebnia, Leonid Bulakhovs′kyĭ, Iuriĭ Shevel′ov (Iuriĭ Sherekh, George Shevelov), who directly or indirectly formed a theory of non-verbal communication (its methodological postulates, typology of non-verbal parameters, terminology), as well as with achievements of their followers, representatives of the pragmalinguistic branch of the Kharkiv linguistic school, exploring issues of NVC theory in the framework of discourse theory. Modern Ukrainian linguists actively develop non-verbal communication theory in relation to discourse practice (theoretical, terminological, stylistic, ethnocultural, idiolectic, gender and lexicographic aspects) and declare to have worked out a methodology for a comprehensive analysis of the non-verbal communication system on the basis of oral and written Ukrainian material. However, the article draws attention to the lack of a national Ukrainian theoretical platform, uniform NVC metalanguage and research methods, and identifies this issue as the most pressing research challenge. Based on the presented conceptualisations, the article identifies five periods of the formation and development of the Ukrainian theory of NVC, as reflected in the achievements of the most well-known and the strongest school in Ukrainian linguistics: (1) the initial period: late 19th – early 20th centuries; (2) the avant-garde period: 1920s–1930s; (3) the Soviet period: 1930s–1960s; (4a) the (“post-Soviet”) diaspora period (1970s); (4b) the post-Soviet period (1990s); (5) the current period: since the early 2000s. The article also outlines research prospects in this study area.  
Niniejszy artykuł opisuje wkład charkowskiej szkoły językoznawczej w powstanie i rozwój teorii komunikacji niewerbalnej oraz nakreśla etapy rozwoju tej teorii w ukraińskim językoznawstwie, począwszy od psycholingwistycznych badań Ołeksandra Potebni pod koniec XIX wieku aż po współczesne badania pragmalingwistyczne. Artykuł ma na celu zapoznanie europejskich badaczy z teoretycznymi osiągnięciami ukraińskich językoznawców światowej klasy: Ołeksandra Potebni, Leonida Bułachowskiego, Jurija Szewelowa (Jurija Szerecha, George’a Shevelova), którzy bezpośrednio lub pośrednio przyczynili się do sformułowania teorii komunikacji niewerbalnej (jej postulatów metodologicznych, typologii parametrów niewerbalnych, terminologii), jak również z osiągnięciami ich następców, przedstawicieli nurtu pragmalingwistycznego charkowskiej szkoły językoznawczej, badających zagadnienia teorii komunikacji niewerbalnej w ramach teorii dyskursu. Dzisiejsi językoznawcy ukraińscy aktywnie rozwijają teorię komunikacji niewerbalnej w odniesieniu do praktyki dyskursu (w aspekcie teoretycznym, terminologicznym, stylistycznym, etnokulturowym, idiolektalnym, genderowym i leksykograficznym) i deklarują stosowanie opracowanej na bazie ukraińskiego materiału ustnego i pisemnego metodologii wszechstronnej analizy systemu komunikacji niewerbalnej. Artykuł zwraca jednak uwagę na brak ogólnokrajowej platformy teoretycznej, jednolitego metajęzyka i metod badawczych, wskazując przy tym, że jej stworzenie stanowi najpilniejsze zadanie stojące przed badaczami. Na podstawie przedstawionych konceptualizacji artykuł wyróżnia pięć okresów rozwoju ukraińskiej teorii komunikacji niewerbalnej w odniesieniu do osiągnięć charkowskiej szkoły językoznawczej, najbardziej znanej i najlepszej szkoły ukraińskiego językoznawstwa: 1) okres początkowy (schyłek XIX i początek XX wieku); 2) okres awangardy (lata 20. i 30. XX wieku); 3) okres radziecki (od lat 30. do 60. XX wieku); 4a) okres „postradzieckiej” diaspory (lata 70. XX wieku); 4b) okres postradziecki (lata 90. XX wieku); 5) okres współczesny (od początku XXI wieku). Artykuł przedstawia również perspektywy badawcze na tym polu.

Celem pracy jest ukazanie etapów rozwoju Internetu i jego rozumienia oraz postrzegania przez samych internautów. Wychodząc od genezy Internetu, omówiono jego ewolucję skupiając się na reprezentatywnych dla każdej generacji właściwościach poszczególnych technologii internetowych. Analizie poddane zostało zagadnienie sztucznej inteligencji w kontekście przekształceń sieci Internet. Wykorzystana została metoda analityczno-syntetyczna.
The article analyses the development of successive phases of the global network: Web 1.0, Web 2.0, Web 3.0 and Web 4.0. The objective of the paper is to establish to what extent the consecutive stages of the Internet development affect both the way it is understood and the way its users are perceived. In the introductory remarks, the origins of the Internet are presented. The main body of the text revolves around particular stages of its development, focusing on features representative for each generation resulting from the advancement of Internet technologies. The problem of artificial intelligence in the context of the Internet changes is also addressed. The last section of the article includes concluding remarks. To discuss the issue, the article employs analytical – synthetic methodology.

Opis:

Partial results of the research on intercultural communication competence were achieved in the North-East Poland, mainly in Podlasie region. The region was chosen deliberately because it was assumed that the rich, centuries-old migration traditions of its population may be the factor that builds competence to intercultural communication. The assumption was partly confirmed: if migration occurs in the biography of the family, the level of intercultural communication competence of young people is higher than in the situation when there is no migration experience in the family. Furthermore, if migration occurred in the family in the past, intercultural communication competence of young people is higher than in the case of young people from “nonmigration” families. Oral tradition passed by significant members of the family who were usually migrating in the past is more important than the actual migration trips of siblings or cousins. Therefore the role of “family memory” is high and much stronger than direct contact of young people with foreign countries.

Information and communication technologies for the information society at everyday life in school, at work, in private correspondence, in play. Cross-border cooperation between neighboring countries cannot do without the use of telecomputing solutions, both at the level of the state ad-ministration, the state security services, but also at the regional level. The development of the border areas with the help of modern technology is an opportunity for people to find jobs, but also activation of these regions to greater integration and mutual promotion.

Celem rozważań jest zaprezentowanie różnic w zachowaniach klientów on-line oraz rozwoju komunikacji marketingowej w Internecie. W opracowaniu powołano się na wyniki badań internautów przeprowadzone w Polsce i w innych krajach Europy. Przybliżono w nim najbardziej charakterystyczne cechy i zachowania użytkowników Internetu. Oprócz tego, w artykule ukazano istotę podejścia inbound marketing w kreowaniu wartościowych treści z punktu widzenia ich odbiorców. Scharakteryzowano też w nim sposób działania tzw. systemów marketingu automatycznego i przybliżono możliwości, które dają właścicielom witryn internetowych z nimi współpracujących. W opracowaniu znajdują się również studia przypadków ukazujące przykłady zrealizowanych zintegrowanych kampanii komunikacji marketingowej w Internecie.
An aim of considerations is to present differences in on-line customers’ behaviours and the development of marketing communication on the Internet. In her study, the author referred to findings of Internet surfers’ surveys carried out in Poland and in other European countries. She brought closer in it the most characteristic traits and behaviours of Internet users. Besides that, she showed in the article the essence of the inbound marketing approach in creating valuable contents from the point of view of their recipients. She also characterised in it the modus operandi of the so-called systems of automatic marketing and brought closer the possibilities they provide for the owners of Internet websites cooperating with them. The work also contains case studies showing the examples of implemented integrated campaigns of marketing communication on the Internet.
Цель рассуждений – представить отличия в поведении клиентов on-line и развитие маркетинговой коммуникации в интернете. В работе дается ссылка на результаты обследований интернавтов, проведенных в Польше и в других странах Европы. В ней приблизили наиболее характерные черты и поведение пользователей интернета. Кроме того, в статье указали суть подхода «приходящего маркетинга» (англ. inbound marketing) в создании ценного содержания с точки зрения их адресатов. В ней дана также характеристика способа действия так называемых систем автоматического маркетинга и приблизили возможности, которые они дают владельцам интернет-витрин, сотрудничающих с ними. В разработке имеется также изучение конкретных проблем, указывающее примеры осуществленных интегрированных мероприятий по маркетинговой коммуникации в интернете.

The article is focused on issues related to Dolphin Assisted Therapy. In the initial part we present the historic view and the situation of dolphin ther-apy in Ukraine. In the second part there is an overview of academic studies worldwide related to dolphin therapy and methodological aspect of dolphin therapy as a mean of support for children with developmental delays. In further parts of the arti-cle I present the assumptions of the proprietary method by O. Dąbrowska and the results of observations and pilot research regarding the influence of dolphin therapy on development in communication.
Artykuł jest poświęcony zagadnieniom związanym z delfinoterapią. W pierwszej części został przedstawiony zarys historyczny oraz sytuacja delfinote-rapii na Ukrainie. W drugiej części zaprezentowano przegląd badań naukowych na świecie dotyczących delfinoterapii oraz metodologiczny aspekt w delfinotera-pii jako metody pomocy dzieciom z opóźnieniem w rozwoju. Następnie przed-stawiono założenia autorskiej metody delfinoterapii O. Dąbrowskiej oraz wyniki obserwacji i badań pilotażowych dotyczących wpływu delfinoterapii na rozwój w komunikacji.

Program ten realizowany w ramach III Osi Priorytetowej „Wojewódzkie Ośrodki Wzrostu”, Programu Operacyjnego Rozwój Polski Wschodniej 2007-2013 wydatnie przyczynił się do poprawy funkcjonowania komunikacji publicznej stolicy województwa świętokrzyskiego. Eskalacja usług w lokalnym transporcie zbiorowym to również efektywniejsza obsługa intensywnie urbanizujących się obszarów miasta i rejonów przyległych. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie istotnych dokonań poszczególnych etapów programu.
In the years of 2007-2013 we could observe notable development of communication infrastructure in Kielce. There were new initiatives started in order to improve the quality and efficiency of the city transport. Those were also the main purposes of the project “Development of the System of Public Transport in the Kielce Metropolitan Area”. Project where implementing in the frame of the third Priority Axis “Province Centers of Growth” within the Eastern Europe Development Operation Program 2007-2013 and had a great impact in improving the functioning of public transport in the main city of the Świetokrzyskie region. This article presents important achievements of each stages of the project implementation.

Opis:

The paper introduces the topic of the Musical Assertiveness Training (MAT), developed in 2014, based on the application of music therapy and mixed arts therapies. The method is based on the latest worldwide achievements in the field of assertiveness training and adopts them for training based on the use of primarily music and art. The MAT-programme is divided into the cycle of twelve music-therapeutic sessions and leads step by step to the basic skills of assertive behaviour. It is designed as a workshop and has been used so far in in the process of educating future pedagogues both as an educational and therapeutic method, supporting the development of emotional, communication and social competences. The article describes the basic concepts of assertiveness and refers to the wider theory from which it originates and to which the innovative training refers such as: the cognitive theory of social learning by Bandura (modelling), the theory of multiple intelligences by H. Gardner and the concept of self-efficacy, self-presentation and self-esteem.

Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony został zagadnieniu prezentowania aspektów ESG, czyli zrównoważonego rozwoju, w strategii komunikacji organizacji skierowanej do jej pracowników. Konieczność wdrażana zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju, wynikająca z przepisów legislacyjnych oraz oczekiwań konsumentów i innych grup interesariuszy, stała się nieodzownym elementem zarządzania. Celem pracy było zbadanie opinii pracowników na temat tego, jak przedsiębiorstwa komunikują wdrażanie zrównoważonych działań swojemu personelowi. Cel ten osiągnięto przez przedstawienie teoretycznych aspektów omawianej problematyki, gdzie jako metodę badawczą zastosowano analizę literaturową. W części empirycznej ukazano wybrane wyniki pilotażowego badania ankietowego, przeprowadzonego metodą sondażu diagnostycznego z wykorzystaniem techniki ankietowej CAWI. Grupę badawczą stanowili pracownicy różnych branż i sektorów gospodarki Polski południowej. W prezentacji uzyskanych rezultatów badawczych zastosowano podejście ilościowe. W badaniu udzielono odpowiedzi na pytania badawcze, dotyczące znaczenia zrównoważonego rozwoju w organizacjach w opinii pracowników, w których są zatrudnieni, a także oceny kierowanej do nich przez pracodawcę komunikacji dotyczącej zrównoważonego rozwoju, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem najskuteczniejszych kanałów i nadawców komunikacji. Podkreślono rolę tego procesu dla budowania kultury organizacyjnej, w której pracownicy wykazują się zaangażowaną postawą.
The following article is dedicated to the presentation of ESG aspects, i.e., sustainable development, in the communication strategy of an organization directed towards its employees. The necessity to implement principles of sustainable development arising from legislative provisions and the expectations of consumers and other stakeholders has become an essential element of management. The aim of the work was to examine employees' opinions on how companies communicate the implementation of sustainable actions to their staff. This goal was achieved by presenting the theoretical aspects of the discussed issue, using a literature analysis as the research method. In the empirical section, selected results of a pilot survey conducted through a diagnostic survey method using the Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI) technique were presented. The research group consisted of employees from various industries and sectors in the southern part of the Polish economy. Quantitative approaches were used in presenting the obtained research results. The study answered research questions regarding the significance of sustainable development in the opinion of employees within the organizations they work for, as well as their evaluation of employer-directed communication on sustainable development, with particular emphasis on the most effective channels and communication sources. The role of this process in building organizational culture, where employees demonstrate an engaged attitude, was emphasized.

Opis:

Network communication links is an indispensable element of development shaping. Any change in the way of using area should be preceded by an analysis of future impact taking into account the transport capacity. The development of buildings without adequate communication links leads to restrictions on object access, consequently it may lead to dangerous mishaps. Avoiding this type of situation is possible by carrying out sustainable development. The paper describes the relationship between the road system and urban layout on the example of Nowogród Bobrzański part of the city. One presented existing changes in the transportation system and its impact on local residents.
Sieć połączeń komunikacyjnych jest nieodzownym elementem kształtującym zabudowę. Każdą zmianę sposobu użytkowania obszaru powinna poprzedzać analiza przyszłego oddziaływania z uwzględnieniem możliwości transportowych. Rozwój zabudowy bez odpowiednich połączeń komunikacyjnych prowadzi do ograniczeń dostępności do obiektu, następstwem czego może dojść do niebezpiecznych zdarzeń losowych. Uniknięcie tego typu sytuacji możliwe jest dzięki prowadzeniu zrównoważonego rozwoju. W artykule opisano zależność pomiędzy systemem drogowym i układem urbanistycznym na przykładzie fragmentu miasta Nowogród Bobrzański. Zaprezentowane zostały zmiany układu komunikacyjnego i ich wpływ na użytkowników.

This article describes the directions of the development of speech of children with moderate and severe mental retardation, corrective measures described in the structure of classes of impressive speech, expressive speech and nonverbal communication. Working with language development of children with moderate and severe mental retardation is made from a variety of areas, of which, according to the level of child selected their top priority at the moment: the development of expressive speech, development impressive speech, development of non-verbal communication and so on. Proposed corrective actions below can be used for all children with mental and physical development, given their individual capabilities. In the process, children can learn the following skills: work together with adults, perform tasks for imitation and example, to express their desires by means of verbal and nonverbal communication, call or show by pointing gesture, object, toy, picture (objects, actions, attributes) image of letters, of words or based on his previous proceeding, subject to correlate with the desired word, the first letter, from which the word is written, find pictures, articles, which have investigated sound, write in block letters, words, using the preliminary analysis, and with adult; correctly pronounce certain sounds, syllables, words and phrases.

What do parents know about their children’s vocabulary? A questionnaire/checklist study of lexical development in children aged 2–6The paper presents a study on lexical development of Polish children aged 2–6. Three tools were constructed for this purpose: “The Child Lexicon Development Questionnaire/Checklist”, “The Questionnaire: Communication and Family Routines“ and a personal questionnaire. All were filled in by children’s parents. The first tool comprised nouns, verbs and adjectives drawn in a layered drawing from the Frequency List of Polish Language Corpus (PWN, 2004). The next two consisted of questions related to interactions in the family, social environment and family SES. Data from 148 children were analyzed. Results revealed non-linear lexical growth with age, positive impact of diversified interactions with parents as well as of a number of different games/play situations with peers on children’s vocabulary. Interactions with parents mainly affected noun and adjective vocabulary, while the number of plays with peers affected verb vocabulary.

W tekście rozważane są problemy i perspektywy rozwoju komunikacji wirtualnej przedsiębiorstw informatycznych połączonych w klaster w warunkach współczesnych wyzwań globalnych. Celem opracowania jest wskazanie rozwiązania kwestii kształtowania współdziałania przedsiębiorstw informatycznych w klastrze, a także stworzenia funkcjonalnego modelu budowy zintegrowanego systemu informacyjno-komunikacyjnego wspomagania interakcji uczestników klastrów IT. Pierwsza część publikacji wskazuje, że klastry w Ukrainie rozwijają się pod wpływem dwóch głównych trendów: pierwszy to nasilająca się rywalizacja przy wyborze skutecznych strategii rozwoju potencjału innowacyjnego sektora usług IT, a drugi to wzmocnienie interakcji klastrowych pomiędzy kluczowymi branżami gospodarki opartej na wiedzy. Część druga, w oparciu o badanie doświadczeń międzynarodowych, projektuje podstawowe zasady oraz modele partnerstwa dla projektów w klastrze przedsiębiorstw IT i uczelni ukraińskich. Część trzecia proponuje z kolei model cyfrowej interakcji uczestników klastra i identyfikuje platformy komunikacyjne zwiększające potencjał komunikacyjny. W końcowej części przedstawiono sposoby praktycznego wykorzystania potencjału komunikacyjnego członków klastra IT poprzez interakcję cyfrową zaproponowanych platform komunikacyjnych na portalu internetowym na przykładzie Lwowskiego Klastra IT.
The article considers the problems and prospects for the development of virtual communication of IT enterprises connected in a cluster in the conditions of contemporary global challenges. The aim of the study is to identify solutions to the issue of shaping the cooperation of IT companies in a cluster, as well as to create a functional model for building an integrated information and communication system supporting the interaction of IT cluster participants. The first part of this text indicates that clusters in Ukraine are developing under the influence of two main trends: the first is the increasing competition in the selection of effective strategies for the development of the innovative potential of the IT services sector, and the second is the strengthening of cluster interactions between key sectors of the knowledge-based economy. The second part, based on the study of international experiences, designs the basic principles and models of partnership for projects in a cluster of IT enterprises and Ukrainian universities. The third part proposes a model of digital interaction of cluster participants, and also identifies communication platforms that increase the communication potential. The final part presents the methods of practical use of the communication potential of IT cluster members through digital interaction of the proposed communication platforms on the internet portal, based on the example of the Lviv IT Cluster.

Opis:

The article presents a study conducted on 27 university students and 5 of their teachers in the Winter semester 2020/21. The study was conducted because of recommended online teaching at Polish universities and almost four decades after the first TED event, when the TED community has become worldwide and the recordings of the events can be accessed online cost-free by anybody. The popularity of TEDs and the need to teach online prompted the author to incorporate it in teaching practice and review research literature from the areas of SLA (Second Language Acquisition), EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teaching and learning, socio-constructivism and adult learning. Based on this review, a hypothesis was formulated: TED talks support the development of listening, speaking, and interaction skills when used as a supplementary resource in teaching English as a foreign language to university students. Three supplementary questions were formed to test the hypothesis. Data was obtained in an online questionnaire and analysed using the qualitative data analysis framework of Miles and Huberman (1994). The study confirmed the hypothesis. Lessons with TEDs are valued as varied, interesting, inspiring and supporting oral communication skills’ development. Results are discussed, conclusions drawn and further research explored.

Purpose: A feature of the information society is the widespread use of information and communication technologies in both business processes and everyday life. The condition for the universality of these solutions is to ensure access to high quality information and communication technologies throughout the country. The aim of the article is to assess the availability and use of information and communication technologies in the voivodeships of Poland. Design/methodology/approach: The methodology of the article is based on descriptive analysis of the information society in Poland. The scope of the considerations concerns the spatial diversity in the availability of information and communication technologies in Poland from the perspective of citizens and businesses per voivodeship. The research used secondary data made available by the Statistics Poland, including the Local Data Bank, Eurostat and the Digital Agenda for Europe. Due to the availability of comparable statistics, 2015 and 2019 were analyzed. Findings: The level of development of the information society in Poland systematically increases. However, Poland is among the countries with the lowest rate of digital economy in the EU. The development of online services comes out as the best developed, while the telecommunication infrastructure falls at the other end of the spectrum. The analysis of selected data concerning the development of the information society in Polish voivodeships indicates that there are differences in the access of the communities of individual regions to high quality information and communication technologies. In particular, inequalities in access to and use of broadband Internet were found. The diversity, which can be described as a digital divide, is particularly characteristic in the relationship between Western Poland and Eastern Poland and is evident in the use of eGovernment services. Social implications: The existence of spatial diversity may affect the implementation of the development priorities of the country and the EU. Public administration is in the period of transition from the traditional way of dealing with the matters of citizens and enterprises to modern — electronic implementation of public services, which requires the state not only to provide access to modern technologies, but also to invest in digital skills of administration employees and society. Originality/value: The results of the conducted analysis may provide guidance for national and regional economic policy entities in terms of shaping forms of public support for development of information and communication technologies in the next development programming perspectives.

Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest wskazanie roli jaką odgrywają procesy komunikacji w zarządzaniu rozwojem pracowników w organizacji. Punktem wyjścia stało się zaprezentowanie podstawowych uwarunkowań procesów komunikacji międzyludzkiej w organizacji. Określono poziomy osiągania celów komunikowania się w organizacji. W dalszej części artykułu dokonano analizy wyznaczników skuteczności komunikacji w procesach rozwoju zasobów ludzkich. Wskazano na rolę jaką odgrywa wykorzystanie w organizacji aktów komunikacyjnych, by realizować zadania związane z zarządzaniem rozwojem pracowniczym. Część końcowa prezentuje wyniki badań empirycznych dotyczących wykorzystania audytu komunikacyjnego jako narzędzia, które pomaga kierownikom nie tylko usprawnić przepływ informacji, ale także daje gruntowną podstawę do budowania strategii rozwoju zasobów ludzkich w organizacji.
The main objective of this paper is to identify the role played by communication processes in the development of employees in the organization. The starting point was a demonstration of basic determinants of interpersonal communication processes within the organization. Achieved target levels in communication within the organization were defined. The further part of the article analyzes the determinants of effective communication in the process of human resources development. The role played by the use of communication for implementing tasks associated with human resource development in the organization has been indicated. The final part presents the results of empirical studies on the use of a communication audit as a tool to help managers not only improve the flow of information, but also provide a solid foundation for building a human resource development strategy in the organization.

The study of communication strategies and tactics occupies an important niche in strategicmanagement. The relevance of this article lies in the fact that the interest of modern business administrationscience in the search for patterns and mechanisms of communication influence on the recipientis growing constantly. Communication strategies and tactics in the advertising of English-languageweb-recourses have been determined. We have defined two communication strategies for onlinestoresslogans: 1) a strategy of encouraging the consumer to choose the appropriate goods or service;2) a strategy of positioning the organisation in the market. Also various communication tactics,with the help of which those two strategies can be realised, have been described. They are: tactics ofappeal to the consumer; tactics of target group indication; tactics of ambiguity/disambiguity of theexpression, content and references; tactics of demonstration of the organisation's advantages anddisadvantages; tactics of emphasizing competence, experience, traditions and values; tactics ofgoods and services naming; tactics of using the store's name. In this article we try to identify which ofthem is the most effective. The proposed versions are based on the results of linguistic interviewing.

Komunikacja ze względu na gwałtowny rozwój technologii jest sferą dynamiczną. Jej użytkownicy i odbiorcy są zdani na nieustanną naukę znajdywania sposobów na komunikację. Autorka podkreśla znaczenie efektywnego języka komunikacji dla takich wartości jak wolność i demokracja. Autorka posłużyła się metodą obserwacji bez interwencji opartą na osobistych doświadczeniach.
In the article, the author considers certain aspects related to visual communication and the problems of teaching in this subject. Despite the question in the title, she does not try to answer it. She emphasizes that the issue of visual communication is very extensive, it is the subject of research of a relatively young field of research. Communication due to the rapid development of technology is a dynamic sphere. Its users and recipients are reliant on continuous learning to find ways to communicate. The author emphasizes the importance of an effective language of communication for such values as freedom and democracy. The author has used the method of observation without intervention based on personal experience.

There is no denying that new styles of communication have already made great advances in both academic and workplace environments. As Chester (2002) believes, there are now different communication needs whose hierarchy has also changed. The efficiency, frequency and quality of communication are determined by many important variables – people’s (multiple) identities and age, or one’s first language being cases in point. These new styles of communication may be considered surprising, linguistically inaccurate, or even rude. Many of them do also not comply to ones that would be created by native speakers, as the people who use them more often than not produce quite awkward structures – on the one hand this is an example of pure corporate jargon and ESP (in the workplace context), on the other a unique discourse heavily manifesting its own identity, first language and norms of politeness present in a particular community (Paltridge 2012). Thus the discourse produced (already creating a new style of communication) violates pragmatic norms obvious to native speakers, as well as being highly surprising (if not even confusing) to other non-native speakers. The proposed article aims to demonstrate the results of the analysis of corporate emails produced by various non-native advanced speakers of English. The analysis mainly focuses on corpus utterances demonstrating a lack of pragmatic competence, as well as the existence of “multiple identities” of their authors.

During recent decades, the rate of structural shifts in the world economy has been especially fast. One of the factors used to influence these processes was to actively develop hi-tech industries and information and communication technologies. With the course of time, the level of informatization of society becomes a defining factor for a country’s competitiveness and predefines its ability to integrate into the global economy. The article characterizes the readiness of different countries to make a move to an innovative way of development based on analysis of combined rating tables that contain integral indices of society’s informatization level. The level of accomplishment of the task to form an innovative type of economy can be assessed in the link between implementation of science and technology progress achievements (i.e.: through the use of information and communication technologies) and the level of socio-economic development of the world countries. Current positions held by Russia and Poland according to some integral indices are also being analyzed.

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie obecności argumentacji typu lógos, éthos i pathos w biznesowych schematach konwersacyjnych. Zaprezentowano metodę Assessment Center/Development Center (AC/DC) jako przykład podejścia do komunikacji w biznesie (na linii przełożony–pracownik), w którym uwzględnia się tę retoryczną triadę. Przykładem obrazującym tę metodę jest schemat rozmowy oceniającej zmierzającej do ewaluacji dotychczasowej pracy oraz zmotywowania pracownika do rozwijania swoich umiejętności i podnoszenia kwalifikacji. Na początku wprowadzono ustalenia terminologiczne odnoszące się do klasycznej triady lógos, éthos, pathos. Następnie omówiono, czym jest komunikacja biznesowa, a czym komunikacja w biznesie. Uwzględniając różnice między komunikacją zewnętrzną oraz wewnętrzną, omówiono metodę AC/DC jako przykład skutecznego kierowania komunikacją wewnętrzną firmy. Przedstawienie schematu rozmowy oceniającej (związanej z udzielaniem konstruktywnych informacji zwrotnych oraz stosowaniem praktyk motywacyjnych, inaczej zwanych wzmacniającymi) pozwoliło wskazać wytyczne, zgodnie z którymi powinna ona przebiegać.
The article addresses the presence of logos, ethos, and pathos in business conversational patterns. The Assessment Center/Development Center (AC/DC) method is presented as an example of a communication approach in the business context (between supervisor and employee) that incorporates this rhetorical triad. A conversation evaluation scheme aimed at assessing the employee’s performance and motivating them to develop their skills and qualifications serves as an illustrative example of this method. The article begins by introducing the terminological framework related to the classical triad of logos, ethos, and pathos. It then discusses the distinction between business communication and communication in the business context. Considering the differences between external and internal communication, the AC/DC method is discussed as an example of how to effectively manage a company's internal communication. The presentation of the conversation evaluation scheme (falling within the realm of providing constructive feedback and employing motivational practices, also known as reinforcement) provided guidelines for its implementation.

During working with children with communication disorders, they are more and more often accompanied by devices supporting the development of speech. One of them is the C-eye system, which is used especially in two areas – communication and education. This article is an introductory report on the research on the use of high technologies in working with children with developmental disorders, accompanied by deficits in the field of verbal speech. The described case study concerns a child with delayed speech development, without any additional health burden, in whom the etiology of communication disorders has not been determined despite careful diagnostics and many specialist consultations. The article was written on the basis of observations, an interview with the family and the recommendations provided, and presents the original path of therapeutic treatment with the use of the C-eye device, which can be used in work with preschool and early school children. Very important was the neurologopedic diagnosis and research conducted during the therapy, which allowed for the proper definition of therapeutic goals and showed its effectiveness, both in the communication, educational and social sphere.

Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja oraz wyjaśnienie wzajemnych powiązań pomiędzy poziomem przeciążeń informacyjno-komunikacyjnych a etapem rozwoju organizacji. W warstwie teoretycznej opracowania wykorzystano model rozwoju organizacji według L.E. Greinera oraz zaprezentowano typologię organizacyjnych stanów obciążeń informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. W warstwie empirycznej opracowania zaprezentowano wyniki pilotażowego badania jakościowego, przeprowadzonego metodą studiów przypadków w pięciu przedsiębiorstwach. Dla każdej z badanych organizacji określono jej fazę rozwojową oraz zidentyfikowano towarzyszący jej stan obciążeń komunikacyjno-informacyjnych, jak również konsekwencje tego stanu dla działalności organizacji.
The paper aims at identifying and explaining mutual links between information and communication overload and the level of organisational development. As theoretical foundations we have used the L. Greiner organisation growth model and presented the typology of information and communication loads in an organisation. At empirical level, the paper discusses results of a pilot qualitative study based on case studies of five enterprises. For each organisation covered by the study we identified the development stage as well as information and communication load connected with it and how the latter effects their performance.

Podjęte badania mają na celu scharakteryzowanie wpływu zakładanej koncepcji sumienia na kształt teorii wychowania moralnego. Przedmiotem badań będą filozoficzne koncepcje sumienia, sformułowane w ramach refleksji tomistycznej, fenomenologicznej i krytycznej, która bazuje na teorii działania komunikacyjnego Habermasa, oraz odpowiadające im dyskursy pedagogiczne. W przypadku teorii tomistycznej rozwój sumienia związany jest przede wszystkim z doświadczeniem, które kształtuje poznawcze i pożądawcze władze umysłowe (intelekt i wolę) oraz zmysłowe. Odwołanie do teorii działania komunikacyjnego Jürgena Habermasa skutkuje racjonalistyczną koncepcją sumienia, które rozwija się w dialogu społecznym. Z kolei fenomenologia w wersji zaproponowanej przez Maxa Schelera prowadzi do docenienia udziału uczuć w formacji sumienia. Każda z tych teorii przynosi określone konsekwencje w dziedzinie teorii wychowania. W pierwszym przypadku rozwój moralny związany jest z doświadczeniem czynu, w drugim jest łączony z komunikacją interpersonalną, ale w wymiarze podmiotowym przybiera profil intelektualistyczny, w trzecim jest to również zetknięcie z rzeczywistością, a szczególnie z wartościami, które postrzegane są jako istniejące obiektywnie.
The research has been carried out with the objective of providing characteristics for the concept of conscience influence over the moral theory shape. The research scope will focus on philosophical concepts of conscience which have been formulated upon reflections of Thom ism, phenomenology as well as the critical reflection based in Habermas’ communication theory and the respective pedagogical discourses. In the case of the Thomism theory the conscience development is first and foremost associated with the experience which thus shapes mental capabilities of cognition and desire (the intellect and the will) and of senses. A reference to Jürgen Habermas’ communication theory results in a rationalistic concept of conscience developed in a social dialogue. However the phenomenology as it has been proposed by Max Scheler recognises feelings in the process of conscience shaping. Each of these theories brings about specific consequences for the theory of upbringing. In the first case the moral development is associated with the experience of an act; in the second case the moral development is associated with interpersonal communication, however in the subjective dimension it is of the intellectual profile; in the third instance it is also the experience of reality and in particular of the values which are generally recognized as objective.

There are many dangerous situations for adult development related to the progress of new information technologies. The article presents a new approach to the issue of disability in the context of the changing ITC technologies and the phenomenon of aging populations. Polish society, like many European societies, is subject to the process of aging. People in late adulthood find it more difficult to learn to use new technologies more easily. This means that an increasing number of people may have problems in full-fledged functioning in society. They will become disabled in the light of the WHO definition. Appropriate education is the way to counteract this phenomenon.

Nowadays, there is a growing need for reflection on the role of drama therapy workshops because of an immense interest in art therapy in general in social or psycho-pedagogical work aimed to support the development of social abilities, in particular communications skills. Therapeutic aspects of art are connected with its impact on psyche, and thus the intensification of specific cognitive, emotional and motivational processes. This paper emphasises personal growth of the participant in relation with a group. In workshop activities, especially during improvisation, the ability to undertake and strengthen positive relations is developing. Reorganization and integration of participants’ attitudes, resulting in better interpersonal relationships, are shown to occur during drama therapy workshops. New attitudes or acquired skills may become for many of them an encouragement to further explorations, an indication of a framework for increased engagement in social interactions.

Although in a majority of cases, autistic children face difficulties communicating verbally, the valid diagnostic classifications do not identify them as the main symptoms of the disorder. The adoption of such a position has been supported by results of (mainly behavioural) research, which imply that language and speech development in the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is extremely variable and individually diversifi ed and the observed delay of its development is not unique to autism. On the other hand, the research conducted by means of neuroimaging methods shows that an atypical structure and activity of Broca’s and Wernicke’s areas, which are important for language processes, exist in the ASD. A weak structural and functional connectivity in the arcuate fasciculus, which connects these structures, has also been discovered. It is assumed that the changes arise from neurodevelopmental irregularities occurring at an early stage of foetal life and their causes are probably genetic. This study characterises speech development disorders and atypical brain development in autism referring to results of both behavioural and neuroimaging research.

Theoretical background: The development of new technologies has a considerable impact on the functioning of numerous service industries. The market of hotel services largely draws from the achievements of the digital revolution. Purpose of the article: The aim of the article is to present modern ICT solutions used in the hotel industry and to present the opinions of the owners of year-round accommodation facilities in the Lublin voivodeship on the impact of technological environment factors on the development of their companies. Research methods: To achieve the article’s aim, source materials are analysed concerning the subject matter and the findings from the author’s own study, conducted in April and May 2018 using the CATI method. Main findings: Entrepreneurs who participated in the study see the potential of the Internet as a technical means which facilitates access to potential customers. An alarming finding of the study is the low level of awareness among the respondents as to the significance of modern technological solutions which are essential for the hotel product and are the source of companies’ competitive advantage.

The goals of this article are: first of all, showing the evolution of models of integrated marketing communication (IMC) in light of the current research, second thing is analysing the configuration of various IMC tools (that is, traditional and Internet tools) which constitute a level of operationalization of IMC models and the third thing formulating implications for managers in the area of company and brand activities. The article is based on secondary sources related to research (scientific magazines) and empirical sources (case study). The effect of these deliberations is showing the strategic dimension of integrated marketing communication in a company and a proposal of its operationalization in form of the 360-degree communication model.
Problematyka zintegrowanej komunikacji marketingowej we współczesnych badaniach wyraźnie ewoluuje wraz z rozwojem rynków i ich uczestników oraz technologii. Celami artykułu są: po pierwsze, ukazanie ewolucji modeli zintegrowanej komunikacji marketingowej ZKM w świetle aktualnych badań, po drugie, analiza konfiguracji różnych narzędzi ZKM (tj. tradycyjnych i internetowych) stanowiących poziom operacjonalizacji modeli ZKM i po trzecie, sformułowanie implikacji menedżerskich w tym obszarze działań firmy i marki. Artykuł bazuje na źródłach wtórnych o charakterze badawczym (czasopiśmiennictwo naukowe) oraz empirycznym (case study). Rezultatem rozważań jest ukazanie strategicznego wymiaru zintegrowanej komunikacji marketingowej w przedsiębiorstwie oraz propozycja jej operacjonalizacji w postaci modelu komunikacji 360 stopni.

Thanks to development of ICT consumers have been given new tools, which make searching for information and sharing opinions easier. New communication tools have become subject of many publications. Having read them we may come to a conclusion that consumers' role in marketing communication has increased significantly and that consumers are the dominant subject of communication process. The author of this article proves that the above conclusion is false. In fact, the author puts the opposite thesis, which says that advertisers have huge advantage observed in opportunities of common advertisements' individualization, which is done to consumers' unawareness. It doesn't matter if it is a consumer who initiates exchange of information as his/her behaviour was previously carefully monitored and controlled consequently.

Long distance voice communication has been always of great interest to human beings. His untiring efforts and intuition from many years together was responsible for making it to happen to a such advanced stage today. This paper describes the development time line of antique telephone systems, which starts from the year 1854 and begins with the very early effort of Antonio Meucci and Alexander Graham Bell and ends up to the telephone systems just before digitization of entire telecommunication systems. The progress of development of entire antique telephone systems is highlighted in this paper. The coverage is limited to only analog voice communication in a narrow band related to human voice.

Współczesne zachowania konsumentów na rynku w dużej mierze są ukształtowane pod wpływem procesu globalizacji i integracji, wraz z którym zachodzi proces przechodzenia do gospodarki wiedzy i informacji. Znaczące zmiany w informatyce i telekomunikacji, rozwój nowych technologii komunikacyjno-informacyjnych umożliwiły i urzeczywistniły istnienie „globalnej wioski”. Współczesny konsument korzystający z nowości technologicznych, określany konsumentem nowej ery, trwale zmienia swoje zachowania i preferencje, a nawet tożsamość. Celem rozważań jest wskazanie nowoczesnych form komunikacji interpersonalnej i wewnątrzgrupowej jako wyniku przemian widocznych na rynku internetowym oraz pokazanie ich wpływu na zmianę zachowań współczesnych konsumentów. Podstawę rozważań podjętych w opracowaniu stanowi przegląd dostępnej literatury oraz własne doświadczenia i obserwacje autorki.
Contemporary behaviours of consumers in the market are to a large extent shaped under the influence of the process of globalisation and integration, with which there takes place the process of shift to the knowledge- and informationbased economy. Significant changes in information technology and telecommunication, development of new information and communication technologies have enabled and realised the existence of ‘global village’. The contemporary consumers making use of technological innovations, described as the new era consumer, permanently change their behaviours and preferences and even identity. An aim of considerations is to indicate up-to-date forms of interpersonal and intragroup communication as a result of the transformations observed in the Internet market and to show their influence on the change of contemporary consumers’ behaviours. The grounds for considerations made in the article are a review of the available literature as well as author’s own experience and observations.
Современное поведение потребителей на рынке в большой мере сформировалось под влиянием процесса глобализации и интеграции, наряду с которым происходит процесс перехода к экономике, основанной на знаниях и инфориации. Значительные изменения в информатике и телекоммуникации, развитие новых коммуникационно-информационных технологий дали возможность и осуществили существование «глобальной деревни». Современный потребитель, пользующийся техническими новинками, определяемый потребителем новой эры, прочно изменяет свои поведение и предпочтения, а даже тождество. Цель рассуждений – указать современные формы интерперсональной и внутригрупповой коммуникации как результат преобразований, заметных на интернет-рынке, а также показать их влияние на изменение по- ведения современных потребителей. Основу для рассуждений в разработке представляет собой обзор доступной литературы и собственный опыт и наблюдения автора.

Współczesne środowisko edukacyjne, na skutek dynamicznego rozwoju nowych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych, posiada w coraz większym stopniu charakter spersonalizowany. Przyczynia się do tego z jednej strony specyfika nowych mediów cyfrowych i możliwość tworzenia wirtualnej przestrzeni, w której ma miejsce proces uczenia się i nauczania, a z drugiej – obecne tendencje w podejściu do procesu kształcenia. Wskazują one na konieczność dostosowania procesu nauczania, w znacznie większym niż dotychczas zakresie, do konkretnych potrzeb ucznia. Kładzie się również nacisk na podmiotowość ucznia i jego samodzielność w podejmowaniu aktywności edukacyjnych. W kontekście tych zjawisk ważnym elementem procesu dydaktycznego wydaje się być projektowanie środowiska dydaktycznego uwzględniającego działania indywidualizacyjne. Przedmiotem niniejszego opracowania uczyniono refleksję nad spersonalizowaną i dostosowaną do możliwości rozwojowych dziecka przestrzenią edukacyjną. Natomiast celem jest opisanie możliwości budowania takiej spersonalizowanej przestrzeni edukacyjnej dla wspierania rozwoju ucznia, zarówno w kontekście teoretycznym, jak i w wymiarze praktycznym. W prowadzonych rozważaniach skoncentrowano się przede wszystkim na potrzebach dzieci w wieku wczesnoszkolnym. Zwrócono uwagę, że nauczanie dostosowane do indywidualnych preferencji każdego ucznia jest możliwe w grupie dzieci o zróżnicowanych możliwościach intelektualnych. Jest to zadanie, któremu powinien sprostać każdy nauczyciel edukacji wczesnoszkolnej, rozpatrując je nie w kategorii trudności, ale wyzwania. Ponadto wskazano na pewne typy zasobów i narzędzi internetowych, które mogą być użyteczne dla działań edukacyjnych, z punktu widzenia indywidualizacji kształcenia.
As a result of the dynamic development of new information and communication technologies, today’s educational environment has becoming increasingly personalized. On the one hand, it contributes to the specificity of the new digital media and the ability to create a virtual space in which to place the process of learning and teaching, and the other to the current trends in the approach to the learning process. These trends indicate the need to adapt the process of learning to the specific needs of the student to a much larger extent than to date. They put the emphasis on student-centered learning and independence in undertaking educational activities. In the context of these phenomena, an important part of the educational process seems to consider personalizing actions when designing the educational environment. The object of this study was a personalized educational space, adapted to the possibilities of child development. The goal study was to describe the possibility of constructing such a personalized learning space to support student development, both in theory and in a practical context. In these considerations the authors focused primarily on the needs of children at early school age. It was pointed out that the teaching tailored to the individual preferences of each student is possible for children with different intellectual abilities. It is a task which should be met by every teacher of early childhood education, considering it not as a problems but rather a challenge. Moreover, some types of resources and online tools were identified which can be useful for educational activities from the point of view of individual pupils.

The higher and higher level of competitiveness of enterprises, the in- creasing expectations of customers or internalization of business are just a few examples of challenges that most of companies must face nowadays. None of these challenges may be faced, however, if the companies do not cope with logistics pro- blems. The increasing number of problems, among others related to the necessity of diversification of products, of provision of frequent, fast and small deliveries, of ensuring reliability and flexibility in operation, of transfer of goods almost all over the world, can no longer be solved with application of traditional methods. Con- dition of success in contemporary logistics is implementation of modern techno- logy. Companies without IT systems, without automatic identification of goods or electronic exchange of data have not chances for strong presence in today’s supply chains or other modern forms of business. In this paper characteristics of selected information and communication technologies (ICT) were presented with reference to the operation of contemporary logistics systems. The introduction presents the role and substance of the information resources in logistics. Technological solu- tions concerning transfer of information were grouped and characterized according to the following types: family of electronic connections, corporate networks and information highways. In each group of the solutions main faults and benefits were presented, from the perspective of possibilities of application in logistic.

Expansion of new technologies causes that the digital world starts stepping into the child’s environment at an ever earlier stage of its development and the power and influence of the media are becoming ever stronger. New technologies constitute an inseparable element of child’s functioning – they are used for entertainment, for communicating with one another and for education. The text contains a review of studies on the use of information and communication devices by small children. It also contains a discourse on the possibilities and threats ensuing from their use.

A communication protocol is a set of rules defined formally that describes the format of digital messages and the rules for exchanging those messages in or between computing systems. The Internet Protocol Suite used for communications throughout the Internet uses encapsulation to provide a way of abstracting protocols and services. This abstraction is grouped into layers of general functionality. For protocols on the transmission layer, many choices exist. But while popular protocols such as TCP, UDP and SCTP do provide connection oriented communication offering reliability, ordering and data integrity, solutions that offer such connections from one point to multiple endpoints are still limited. TCP only supports point-to-point communication and SCTP offers multi-homing functionality, but the transmission is still limited to two logical endpoints. In this paper we use the simple, stateless, transmission model of UDP in order to provide TCP-like services for one-to-many communication that is not limited to just multi-homing or other particular solutions. The protocol supports reliable communication from one endpoint to multiple endpoints in different transmission modes. In order to make it easier for developers to customize the protocol to their needs and possibly extend/modify it in order to create new variants from it, the protocol is developed in user space. Because of this design restriction performance wasn't the main objective of our work, but rather the ease of customization and experimentation with new protocol variants. The protocol was implemented in the C++ programming language using classes with virtual members. New variants of components, such as packet retransmission, can easily be implemented without changing the whole code base.

Opis:

Scholars over the years have delved into the discourse of states’ foreign publics engagements in their foreign policy objectives. This analysis is done generally with the western perspective of public diplomacy with recent Asian scholarship evolving. As a result, this study aims to reflect on public diplomacy from an African perspective. Therefore, it analyses how African governments have been engaging their foreign publics (foreign governments and their citizens) to attract foreign aid, tourism, and investments in their nation-building and development trajectory. The article explores African public diplomacy mechanisms such as diasporas, nation branding, cultural diplomacy, and many others. It also digests some of the challenges confronting African governments in their public diplomacy campaigns, like lack of research, human and financial resources, and lack of coherent foreign policy documents. The article’s findings demonstrate that although Africa generally has rich public diplomacy resources, these are not adequately harnessed in most African states’ foreign policy. This situation has led to poor foreign policy implementation by most African governments. The study contributes to the public diplomacy scholarship in general and African public diplomacy in particular, which scholars have underexplored. It concludes that scholars should delve into the exegesis of the rich African public diplomacy currencies.

The human person has a definitional difficulty. One definition of the human person will be one sided. The human person reflects the philosophical analysis of manifold reciprocal relations and fundamental wholeness. The human person is a unique rational being who is very complex from the domain unified understanding of his nature. It constitutes a rational element and characterized by the social, physical, metaphysical, psychological, existential, global, dialogical, moral, and African plane. The human person is deeply rooted in the fundamental existential question of who he is, what he does governed by its rational ability, cognitive capacity and inter-subjective relation. The human person is both a spiritual and a material being, that is, he is characterized by soul and body. The human person is characterized by the stylization of rational conduct and common good or collective interests. We shall critically examine the psychological, ontological, global, dialogical dimension of the human person, this philosophical elucidation of these dimensions is not exhaustive, the human person can also be viewed from socio-political, moral religious and existential dimension.

The first part of the article contents arguments for including USR in a university strategy, the main elements of USR and same examples of university missions, visions and strategies which include social responsibility goals. The article presents the results of research conducted among people with sight and hearing dysfunctions in the region of Upper Silesia. The research comprised issues related to the use of electronic devices and electronic communication technologies by the handicapped and their functioning in the public space. The research was conducted with the use of a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The questioned were the representatives of Silesian branches of the Polish Association of the Deaf and Polish Association of the Blind.

Opis:

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a comparatively new term in the Baltic States’ business vocabulary. Th e value of the present study is the customer approach. Th e study examines stakeholders’ attitudes in Baltic States towards CSR activities of companies. Th e systematic examina- tion of the current state of CSR development from the perspective of corporate communication and consumers will benefi t the overall understanding of what the role and value of CSR is in the Baltic States. Th e study aims at defi ning the current point of CSR development with its characteristics, qual- ities, perspectives and tendencies. Th is would further enhance the understanding of future perspec- tives — scopes and limitations — for CSR development in the Baltic States. Th e empirical study uses a survey questionnaire as a research tool. Th e survey took place in the period of February–March 2010. Th e sample of the study is opinion elite (persons in society who comment on diff erent societal aspects in the media: opinion journalists, politicians, business leaders, 3rd sector leaders, expert associations, etc.) in the Baltic States. A study will give an insight into the present and future tendencies of the development of CSR. It will also give a perspective for corporate communication practitioners about CSR and how it works in a post-communist society, as a strategy for organizational communication and reputation building.

Reaching agreement among generations in a family is crucial for its proper functioning. Children, parents and grandparents may enrich their lives through exchanging many values (mentioned in the text). Dialogue between generations is equally important and precious for all generations within an extended family. Moreover, the dialogue creates a feeling of closeness, protects against alienation and provides generations with cultural continuity. However, reaching agreement among generations requires putting a lot of effort from all family members and involves making many mistakes.

Guinea‑Bissau’s media have negotiated their roles and freedoms within the postcolonial national construct since its official independence from Portugal in 1974. While the current media landscape is relatively pluralistic, journalists experience constraints from various sides: political pressures, unaccommodating regulations, lack of resources. The concept of media capture (Mungiu‑Pippidi & Ghinea, 2012; Mabweazara et al., 2020; Schiffrin, 2021) allows the analysis of complex, subtle and structural constraints limiting media’s ability to fulfil their roles. This paper traces the phenomenon on the macro level (context), meso level (organizations) and micro level (journalists) in Guinea‑Bissau to interrogate how the concept plays out in a context shaped by fragility. The article draws on a literature review, official documents and semi-structured interviews. Following Dugmore’s (2022) idea of precarity as an endogenous condition in many Sub‑Saharan contexts, this paper argues that capture is engrained in a fragile system rather than being an exception or disruption.

Opis:

The underwater telephone HTL-10 has been designed to provide voice and data communication between helicopter and submarines using acoustic waves. It works in a halfduplex mode and uses analogue power-efficient modulation in the form of a single side-band, suppressed carrier, in a wide range of frequencies. It generates the transmitted signal, and processes the received signals. It is implemented with the use of digital signal processing techniques. Although it was designed several years ago, the flexible structure of the underwater telephone ensures a convenient platform for the implementation of various types of communication, as well as testing. This ability is due to the particular characteristics of the digital signal-processing module, which was designed by the author, both in hardware and software. The main elements of the module consist of the fixed-point signal processor, and the floating-point high performance digital signal processor. The article demonstrates the ability to adapt HTL-10 to implement digital communication in shallow waters, with a robust low data rate spread spectrum approach.

The article presents the current evolution of the global information society and the problem of digital divide. An additional category is globalization, which has been presented as an accelerator for the development of a global information society. The role of ICT in filling the development gap between regions of the world was identified on the basis of the UN classification. The concept of “digital divide” was introduced as a synonym for a new kind of development gap between the rich North and the poor South, and analysis of data from UN publications showed a constant high diversity of the global information society, which is clearly regionalized.

Opis:

Nowadays shipping industry has problems such as reduction of mariners, aging of mariners, and labor expenses. To solve the problems, One Person Bridge Operation was developed as navigation supporting system. However, One Person Bridge Operation remained technological problems and one man error. Therefore, in this study, telexistence on a ship was proposed by using satellite communication. Telexistence on a ship is a concept of maneuvering between land and ship with at least two mariners such as navigation officer and helmsman. Navigation officer works on ship as usual and helmsman supports ship from land. In this paper, remote maneuvering system was developed as the first step of telexistence on a ship. For evaluating the effectiveness, ship experiment was carried out. From the result, navigation officer and helmsman could alter ship’s course to 20 degrees within 60 seconds and less than 5% overshoot in the proposed remote maneuvering system.

New media are frequently used for presenting views and developing desired socio-political opinions. The social networking websites are becoming an objection towards the use of media messages as tools of persuasion and manipulation. However, they are not playing that role exhaustively. The article discusses the process of developing social capital in social networking websites, against the background of social relationships based on trust or lack of trust. Partnership and cooperation are becoming important tools of democracy, with which there are constructed the social bonds which mobilize the users of media networking websites to undertake political activities. The developed social bonds constitute a source of discussion groups concentrated around joint views. In turn, in the light of lack of trust, that division into groups leads to alienation and the resulting polarization of views. Polarization tendencies in the social networking media limit their informative character. At the same time, they cause a situation when, in the social networking area of the Internet, different socio-political activities are ignored or blocked. Media education is to counteract such tendencies. Under the European law, the European countries have been obliged to develop media education both in education, and through social educational programs. The current condition of media education in Poland was presented.

System językowy rozwija się od chwili narodzin dziecka. W przypadku całościowych zaburzeń rozwojowych może być stymulowany poprzez interwencję budującą system lub wspomagającą budowanie i strukturę systemu językowego. Interwencja włączająca komunikację alternatywną i wspomagającą ma każdorazowo prowadzić do tworzenia przez użytkownika nigdy wcześniej nieformowanych wypowiedzi. Aby uzyskać ten cel, należy wybrać Wspomaganą Stymulację Języka (ang. Aided Language Stimulation), która umożliwi trenowanie różnych wypowiedzeń w zależności od wyraźnych potrzeb i możliwości w konkretnej funkcjonalnej sytuacji, zarówno podczas aktywności zaplanowanych, jak i spontanicznych. Stąd pojawienie się „dzienników” jako dodatkowych działań wspierających rozwój umiejętności, które zdobywane są w trakcie normatywnego rozwoju bez większego trudu, a muszą być wspomagane w przypadku osób z całościowymi potrzebami komunikacyjnymi (ang. CCN Complex Communication Needs). Oprócz samej funkcji komunikacyjnej, w której występuje indywidualna pomoc komunikacyjna, zastępując mowę, musimy wspierać usprawnianie i wzmacnianie kompetencji komunikacyjnych i językowych. Praca z dzieckiem z CCN wymaga tego, aby Indywidualna Pomoc Komunikacyjna (IPK) była wykorzystywana przez cały czas w trakcie wszystkich czynności i szła z nim w każde miejsce oraz przez każdego partnera komunikacyjnego i społecznego.
The language system of a child starts to develop since the moment a child is born. In case of complex developmental disorders the language system may be stimulated through an intervention establishing the system or aiding development and structure of the language system. The intervention encompassing supporting and alternative communication should in each instance lead to the user developing previously not formed utterances. In order to reach this goal the Aided Language Stimulation should be selected which will enable training various utterances depending on the explicit and clear needs and capacities in a given functional situation - both during planned and spontaneous activities. Thus the emergence of writing journals as an additional task supporting development of skills which are acquired during the normative development without any greater effort and the acquisition of which must be aided in case of persons with Complex Communication Needs (CCN). Apart from the communication function which receives individual communication aid in supplanting speech we must also support improving and reinforcing communication and language competences. Working with a child with CCN requires Individual Communication Aid (ICA) to be present and in use at all times, during performing all tasks, to be provided everywhere and by each social and communication partner.
