Szybki rozwój nowoczesnych technologii informacyjnych powoduje, że coraz większa część aktywności gospodarczej jest przemieszczana do przestrzeni wirtualnej. Internet sprzyja powstawaniu nowych, innowacyjnych modeli biznesowych i skłania wiele firm do wykorzystania globalnej sieci nie tylko jako platformy interaktywnej komunikacji z klientami i konsumentami, lecz również jako sposobu wykreowania unikatowej przewagi konkurencyjnej. Migracja do cyberprzestrzeni stwarza szanse dla kreatywnych przedsiębiorców, ale wiąże się również z zagrożeniami. Dotyczy to także konsumentów, którym Internet stwarza niespotykane wcześniej możliwości, ale równocześnie narażając ich na nowe niebezpieczeństwa i pułapki. Wiele z nich wiąże się z występowaniem w przestrzeni wirtualnej nierejestrowanej aktywności gospodarczej (określanej potocznie jako „szara strefa”), której wybrane przejawy zostaną bliżej przedstawione w niniejszym artykule.
Migration to the virtual space provides opportunities for many firms and creative entrepreneurs but also possibilities to carry out activities by those entities, which seek for easy, quick profits. It is connected with occurrence in the virtual space of unregistered business activity (commonly described as the grey market) whose selected symptoms are presented in the article. The author also discussed in it the new areas and symptoms of occurrence of the grey market in Internet in the form of development of unofficial market for IT products, brand piracy and sale of counterfeit products (including computer software) and achievement of unregistered income through sale of products in Internet auctions.
Миграция в виртуальное пространство создает шансы для многих фирм и созидательных предпринимателей, но и новые возможности действий для субъектов, которые ищут легкой и быстрой прибыли. Это связано с выступлением в виртуальном пространстве нерегистрированной экономической активности (определяемой в обиходе термином «теневая экономика»), избранные аспекты которой представлены в статье. В ней обсуждены также новые области и проявления выступления теневой экономики в Интернете в виде развития неофициального рынка информатических продуктов, брендового пиратства и продажи продуктов-подделок (в том числе компьютерного программного обеспечения) и получение нерегистрированных доходов путем прода- жи продуктов на Интернет-аукционах.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest analiza funkcjonowania w polskim polu kultury Remigiusza Mroza jako autora mającego na celu wykreowanie identyfikowanej z nim własnej marki literackiej. Celem przeprowadzonych badań było prześledzenie mechanizmów służących autokreacji marki literackiej w przestrzeni kultury mainstreamu z uwzględnieniem: uwarunkowań funkcjonowania polskiego rynku wydawniczego, sposobów wykorzystania mediów społecznościowych i opiniotwórczych w celach autoprezentacji oraz dyskursu krytycznego jego twórczości. Wnioski sformułowano w kontekście wyników badań współczesnego polskiego pola literackiego prowadzonych z perspektywy badań kulturowych.
The subject of the article is the analysis of the functioning in the Polish cultural field of Remigiusz Mroz as an author aiming to create his own literary brand identified with it. The aim of the conducted research was to follow the mechanisms for self-creation of the literary brand in the mainstream culture, including: conditions of the Polish publishing market, ways of using social media and opinion-making media for self-presentation and critical discourse of his work. The conclusions were formulated in the context of the results of the research of the contemporary Polish literary field conducted from the perspective of cultural research.

Ks. ppłk Władysław Mróz nazywany „Kapelanem od Andersa” ur. 13 maja 1905r. w miejscowości Ostrów Kaliski w powiecie kaliskim. Święcenia kapłańskie otrzymał 29 czerwca 1930r. W 1934r. został powołany na kapelana wojskowego 39 Dywizji Piechoty w Łodzi. Uczestnik kampanii wrześniowej 1939r., ucieka z obozu jenieckiego. Krótko zamieszkuje w Łodzi, ucieka na Węgry a następnie przez Jugosławię do Palestyny, wstępuje do oddziałów polskich, pod dowództwem gen. Władysława Andersa. Walczy z Niemcami pod Tobrukiem w słynnej bitwie pod Aleksandrią, na pierwszej linii frontu [pod Monte Cassino. Odznaczony Krzyżem Walecznych, Złotym Krzyżem Zasługi z Mieczami, oraz odznaczeniami brytyjskimi Gwiazdą Wojny, Gwiazdą Afryki, Gwiazdą Italii. W 1948 roku wraca do kraju, pracuje jako kapelan w Międzyrzeczu, proboszcz garnizonu w Poznaniu, Dziekan Okręgu Wojskowego we Wrocławiu i od 1952 roku obejmuje stanowisko proboszcza w Kościele Garnizonowym w Kaliszu, odzyskując kościół od protestantów. Zmarł 16.06.1960 roku w Kaliszu, kondukt żałobny poprowadził więzień obozu koncentracyjnego w Dachau J.E ks. biskup dr Franciszek Korszyński. Ks. ppłk Władysław Mróz spoczywa na Miejskim Cmentarzu Katolickim – Rogatka w Kaliszu w zbiorowym grobie kapłańskim.
Father Lt. Col. Władysław Mróz , called 'Anders Army chaplain', was born on 13 May 1905 in Ostrów Kaliski in Kalisz region. He was ordained on 29 June 1930. In 1934 he was appointed the chaplain of 39th Infantry Division in Łódź. He took part in September Campaign, after which he escaped from a POW camp. For a short time he lived in Łódź, then he escaped to Hungary, and then through Yugoslavia to Palestine where he joined the Polish troops commanded by General Władysław Anders. He fought with Germans at Tobruk, in a famous battle of Alexandria , and in the first line of the battle of Monte Cassino. He was decorated with the Cross of Valor, the Gold Cross of Merit with Swords, and the British orders -The 1939-1945 Star, The Star of Africa and the Star of Italy. In 1948 he came back to Poland and started working as a chaplain in Międzyrzecz. He was later the chaplain in Poznań garrison , the dean of the Military District in Wrocław, after which he became the parish priest in the Garrison Church in Kalisz regaining thus the former protestant church. He died on 16.06.1960 in Kalisz. The funeral procession was lead by His Excellency Bishop Franciszek Korszyński, a former prisoner of the concentration camp in Dachau. Father Lt.Col. is buried in a common grave for priests in the Rogatka Catholic Cemetery in Kalisz.

Polish and Czech pilgrims on the Way of Saint James at the beginning of the 21st centuryThe Way of St. James is at present the most famous Christian pilgrimage route as well as the first European Cultural Route. An analysis of Polish and Slovak tours and pilgrimages to the Spanish town of Santiago de Compostela has shown an increase over the last decade in popularity of pilgrimages following the Way of Saint James among residents from these two Eastern and Central European countries. The number of Polish and Slovak “ de Compostela ” pilgrims increased seven-fold over the period 2004 – 2013. This was caused by a number of factors, most notably by the development of the Devotion to Saint James in many parishes, an increasing amount of information about the Way of Saint James in the mass media, individual promotion of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage by individuals who had reached Compostela and had received a “ Compostela ” document as well as an increase in the number of low-cost airlines connecting Spain with Eastern and Central Europe. During the study period 2004 – 2013, more than 60 % of Polish and Slovak “Camino ” pilgrims declared religious reasons for their expeditions. Unlike in the case of the whole population of Camino pilgrims, non-religious motives for visiting the tomb of Saint James were only marginally significant for Poles and Slovaks ( 1.7 % and 2.4 %, respectively ). Poles and Slovaks usually make their pilgrimage on foot ( 87 % and 94 %, respectively ). However, the share of Polish and Slovak bicyclists who have reached Santiago de Compostela is quite the opposite ( 12.9 % and 5.75 %, respectively ). All data are for the 2004 – 2013 period. More than 50 % of Camino pilgrims from Poland and Slovakia are people between 30 and 60 years of age. The part of the pilgrimage route to the town of Compostela most often chosen by Polish and Slovak Camino pilgrims is the French Way ( Camino Francés ).

In this article, author deals the subject of Zygmunt Bauman’s four patterns of personality as an attribute of postmodern people. This analysis aims to check if the shared qualities of the personality models might have emerged in the past. A certain type of individuals, which is resulting from Bauman’s patterns, needs a reference to the conception of societies that are provided by the research of Guy Debord, Michel Foucault and Michel de Certeau. This comparison makes it possible to verify the validity of the patterns, as well as answer the question, if they are a diagnosis of the culture, or rather a speculation, that is out of touch with reality.

Bezpieczeństwo energetyczne stanowi ważny cel polityki energetycznej Polski. Ograniczona zasobność kraju w podstawowe surowce energetyczne, takie jak np. ropa naftowa, wymusza konieczność importu z krajów trzecich. Główne działania dla zwiększenia tego bezpieczeństwa sprowadzają się do dywersyfikacji zarówno źródeł, jak i kierunków dostaw. Większy zakres dywersyfikacji gwarantuje bowiem z jednej strony stabilność dostaw ropy naftowej, z drugiej natomiast wprowadza mechanizm rynkowy, determinując tym samym rynkową cenę surowca. Celem publikacji jest analiza bezpieczeństwa energetycznego Polski, biorąc za przykład rynek ropy naftowej w horyzoncie ostatniej dekady. Założono, że za kwestie stabilności dostaw ropy naftowej do Polski odpowiada rozbudowana infrastruktura naftowa, umożliwiająca różnicowanie źródeł i kierunków dostaw, natomiast stopień akceptowalności cen surowca definiuje zarówno poziom, jak i zakres zmienności cen ropy naftowej. Weryfikacji empirycznej stanu bezpieczeństwa energetycznego Polski dokonano przy wykorzystaniu analizy wskaźnikowej (wskaźnik koncentracji rynku Herfindahla-Hirschmana) oraz odpowiednich narzędzi ekonometrycznych (tj. modeli klasy GARCH).

Niniejsze opracowanie stanowi próbę analizy zjawiska obstrukcji parlamentarnej pod kątem narzędzi prawnych, które pozostając w dyspozycji parlamentarzystów, służą zakłócaniu prac legislacyjnych. Prawo do takowego działania wynika z samej istoty opozycji i stanowi ostateczną formę sprzeciwu, nie wkraczającą w sferę bezprawnego działania. Zjawisko to powszechne jest we wszystkich rozwiniętych systemach demokratycznych, gdzie praktyka parlamentarna bądź regulaminy wewnętrzne izb dopuszczają możliwość zakłócania prac parlamentu, nie penalizując tego procederu. Jednocześnie, w artykule omówione zostały instrumenty, które w zamierzeniu ograniczać mają występowanie tego przejawu działalności parlamentarzystów, zaś najobszerniej potraktowany został przykład Senatu USA, który może być uznany zarówno za kolebkę dzisiejszej formy obstrukcji parlamentarnej, jak i kraj pionierski w kwestii wprowadzania restrykcji w tym względzie. Autor porusza również kwestię samego zjawiska obstrukcji, jako immamentnie związanego z pluralizmem politycznym i będącego przejawem realizowania konstytucyjnych funkcji opozycji. Wysuwa również tezę, iż działanie to samo w sobie nie powinno być ex ante traktowane jako niekorzystny element systemu politycznego, gdyż pozytywny lub negatywny efekt jego występowania zależny jest od danych okoliczności, na które składają się m.in. kultura i tradycja parlamentarna oraz zakres władzy, jaka skupiona jest w organach ustawodawczych. Szczególna uwaga poświęcona została instrumentom prawnym, które obecne są w polskim systemie prawa konstytucyjnego i pozwalają na próbę paraliżowania procedury ustawodawczej. Dotyczy to zarówno sytuacji hipotetycznych, jak i doświadczeń parlamentarnych w tym względzie, które miały miejsce w ostatnim czasie.
This article aims at an attempt to analyze the phenomenon of filibustering, with respect to the legal means used by members of parliament to disturb the legislative procedure. The right to such action stems from the essence of the political opposition itself and can be construed as a last resort in the area of expressing objections to the actions of the majority, while not being illegal. Filibustering is a common phenomenon in all of the well-developed, democratic political systems, which do not penalize such action, moreover, in which the parliamentary tradition or the internal provisions of parliamentary statutes create an opportunity to legally disturb the legislative process.

We study the geometrical structure of memory induced by the continuous multidimensional Mróz model of plasticity. The results are used for proving the thermodynamic consistency of the model and composition and inversion formulas for input - memory state - output operators. We also show an example of nonuniqueness of solutions to a simple initial value problem involving the Mróz operator.

System do kreślenia podziałek wskazówkowych przyrządów pomiarowych umożliwia obliczenie współrzędnych położenia kresek dowolnej podziałki, w tym podziałek wielokrotnych, ocyfrowania i innych symboli oraz ich wykreślenie bezpośrednio na podzielni przyrządu zgodnie z wymaganiami norm. System ma zastosowanie w zakładach wytwórczych przyrządów pomiarowych. Nowością jest zapewnienie wyższego poziomu zgodności przebiegu charakterystyki kreślonej podziałki z charakterystyką przyrządu pomiarowego i znaczne skrócenie czasu drukowania podziałek.
The accuracy of analogue indicating instrument mostly depends mostly on conformability of the scale characteristic with the meter characteristic, i.e. characteristic of converting the input quantity to deflection of a pointer. The scale characteristic is a function determining the position of every scale mark on the dial dependently on the input quantity value corresponding to it. If differences between the meter characteristics of some number of instruments do not exceed the permissible values determined by their class index, one scale characteristic can be applied. In the opposite case, there are made a few dials with small differences between their characteristics and there is chosen the best one for each meter [1], or there are used the means for adjusting the meter characteristic to one scale, or there is drawn the dial separately for each meter. The paper describes a system for drawing individually the scales for a meter. This system has two versions: with a reference voltage and current source (Fig. 1.) [2] and with a reference meter (Fig. 2.). The system works according to the algorithm elaborated by the authors. It permits to reckon up all data needed to draw the complete dial. One question to be solved was elaboration of algorithms for drawing thick lines required by standard [3] with a thin pen. Fig. 3 shows solution to this question. Different kinds of scales drawn by the system are presented in Fig. 4. These examples confirm versatility of the system and correctness of the algorithms. The system shortens significantly the time of drawing scales, increases their accuracy and aesthetics of the dials.

Multilevelness of personal development and autobiographical narrativesAutobiographical narrative is a means of continuous ordering, integrating and giving new meanings to life experiences. Analyses of autobiographical narratives of adults characterized by a high level of generativity (commitment to passing down values and supporting development of the next generation) – as described by E. Erikson – found differences between the structure and content of their stories and the ones created by less generative adults (McAdams, Diamond, Mansfield, de St. Aubin, 1997). One of the basic structural differences is that the former are dominated by redemption sequences (subjective negative-to-positive revaluation of situations), whereas the latter – by contamination sequences (positive-to-negative revaluation). In the context of the above-specifi ed fi ndings, the question arises whether the observations of the particular type of revaluation can be linked with the concept of multilevelness of personal development and how developmental transformations, connected with the extension of conscious actualization of individual freedom, are refl ected in the means of structuring self-narratives. Analyses of autobiographical narratives by individuals who reached a high level of personal development suggest possible links between the concept of multilevel personal development and the following characteristic features of self-narratives: fi nding coherence between many plots of a story, the prevalence of redemption imagery and integration of basic motifs contained in a life story

O stateczności kontaktu z tarciem Warunek (1.2) stateczności układu sprężystego z ciernym kontaktem wyrażony jest przez funkcję energii potencjalnej V(qi) i funkcję dysypacji D(qi, qk). Rozpatrzono prawo tarcia Coulomba i niestowarzyszone prawo poślizgu i zastosowano warunek stateczności do kontaktu sztywnego i z podatnością sprężystą. Określono statyczne i dynamiczne formy utraty stateczności.

Bohaterka Agnes Anney, która jako chłopskie dziecko wyemigrowała z rodzinnej wsi mazowieckiej do Wielkiej Brytanii, wraca do niej po latach jako bogata panna, zaadoptowana przez angielskiego fabrykanta. Dziedzic majątku, Władysław Krzycki, prawie natychmiast się w niej zakochuje, nie poznając w niej włościańskiej panienki, którą uwiódł przed laty. Agnes, jako obca w szlacheckim środowisku, posługuje się różnorodnymi mechanizmami pomagającymi jej funkcjonować w świecie, który widzi w niej Inną: zarówno w uniwersum polskiej szlachty, jak i wśród polskich katolików, a wreszcie i pośród mężczyzn trakujących ją jako pozbawiony własnego zdania obiekt seksualny. Panna Anney zaskakuje wszystkich swoim zachowaniem, stosunkiem do przyjętych od pokoleń norm obyczajowych, jak również historią życiową.

This is the first of two articles presenting the consideration of the canonical and civil-law effectiveness of goods alienation, carried out by ecclesial legal person without meeting the requirements of canon law. The consideration covered in the article constitutes the attempt to find answers to questions of whether the canonical alienation requirements are binding on the secular forum, as well as the question of the effectiveness of alienation carried out without respecting those requirements within the canon law and Polish civil law.  This article contains the consideration concerning the alienation of church property, as well as its canonical requirements, the canonization of the civil law regulations concerning the contracts and obligations, as well as canonical effectiveness of alienation carried out without respecting the legal terms. The next article shall present the consideration of the reception of canon law to the Polish legal system, as well as civil-law effectiveness of alienation carried out by ecclesial legal person, without respecting the canonical terms.

W artykule podjęta Jest próba analizy funkcji krajobrazu w twórczości Thomasa Bernharda na podstawie jego debiutu powieściowego, utworu: "Mróz". W dziele tym krajobraz rozumiany jest jako zespół wrażeń przetwarzanych w świadomości bohatera. Elementy narury traktuje autor jako zespół pojęć, materiał słowny, który jest wykorzystywany przez schizofrenicznie usposobionego bohatera w jego spekulacjach i grach myślowych. W swym nieustającym monologu malarz Strauch staje się medium, przez które przemawia "śmiertelna natura nie’posiadająca komórek, to dzięki czemu wszystko istnieje". Stosunek bohatera do krajobrazu polega na próbie odnalezienia tzw. "duszy przyrody, centrum bólu od którego wszystko się rozpoczyna". Krajobraz staje się jednym z czynników specyficznego "myślenia totalnego". Elementy przyrody kojarzone są tu z człowiekiem. Proces ten wykazuje, zdaniem autora, pewne uporządkowanie stylistyczne. Personifikacja elementów krajobrazu ilustruje zmiany w psychice bohatera, natomiast metafora występuje tam, gdzie podkreślana jest rola malarza Strauche jako "medium natury", tłumaczącego jej istotę. Cechami charakterystycznymi opisu krajobrazu w powieści "Frost" są 'przy tym rezygnacja z estetycznego dystansu wobec otaczającego świata i zanik przestrzenności Opisu. Powieść wydaje się być próbą przywrócenia człowiekowi jego pierwotnego stosunku do natury, uporządkowania jego chaotycznej wyobraźni. Człowiek scala się wewnętrznie pragnąc poznać prawdę, zgłębić istotę.

A portable gas chromatograph with integrated micromachined flushed injector and thermal mass detector (TCD) has been developed. The silicon/glass injector operates in a fixed volume (2×7 žL) or electronically operated mode. An integrated, pneumatically operated, fast cross-valve is applied in the injector. The TCD detector consists of two Pt microheaters and thermoresistors packaged in a silicon/glass micromachined chip. The temperature of two capillary molecular sieve separation columns is controlled by a thick-film heater fabricated on polyimide foil. The chromatograph is equipped with two 16-bits microprocessors communicating with the external portable PC. The instrument may operate in the on-line continuous analysis mode.

Processes of children’s in the family are partly related to the quality of their parents’ marriage, which is influenced by various factors. Different factors have significant influence on marital quality. In particular, the link between personal characteristics of spouses (e.g. personality traits, attitudes, and values) and marital satisfaction has received much attention. However, there have been few studies concerning partners’ personal resources. The current research examined the effect of self-efficacy and resiliency on marital satisfaction among women. The study has covered 239 married women. Three questionnaires were used: the Wellmatched Marriage Questionnaire (KDM-2; Plopa, 2008), the Resiliency Assessment Scale (SPP-25, Ogińska-Bulik, Juczyński, 2008), and the Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES, Polish adaptation, Juczyński, 2001). Correlation and regression analyses were performed in this study. Both general self-efficacy and resiliency proved to be positively associated with marital satisfaction in general terms. Self-efficacy also correlated positively with intimacy and similarity, while resiliency correlated positively with all favorable dimensions of marital relation, and negatively with disappointment. Regression analyses showed that one aspect of resiliency – openness to experience and sense of humour – was a significant positive predictor of marital satisfaction.

The aim of this article is to present the structure and development of the Polish clothing industry and the perception of Polish fashion brands by young consumers. The conclusions of the article are based on literature studies and the author’s research.
Zmiana ustroju w Polsce oraz pogłębiający się coraz szybciej, szczególnie za sprawą Internetu i mediów społecznościowych, rozwój globalizacji na całym świecie spowodował zmiany w zachowaniu nabywców, zarówno na rynku dóbr luksusowych (haute couture), jak i dóbr masowej konsumpcji (prêt-à-porter) w Polsce.Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie struktury i rozwoju rynku odzieżowego w Polsce oraz postrzegania polskich marek modowych przez młodych konsumentów.Wnioski zawarte w artykule sformułowano na podstawie studiów literatury przedmiotu, jak i badań własnych o charakterze pierwotnym.

Dyspozycja do przebaczenia, podobnie jak przebaczenie epizodyczne, jest przedmiotem coraz częstszego zainteresowania wśród psychologów. Badania wskazują, że osoby z wysoką tendencją do przebaczenia charakteryzują się wysoką samooceną czy empatią, z kolei z niską gotowością do przebaczenia – większą tendencją do ruminacji i neurotycznością. Badania takie są możliwe dzięki skalom mierzącym różne aspekty skłonności do przebaczenia (np. sobie, innym, sytuacjom), opartym na różnych koncepcjach, czy wreszcie posiadających zróżnicowaną liczbę itemów i strukturę. W artykule przedstawiono przegląd narzędzi do pomiaru skłonności do przebaczenia – od skal zawierających scenariusze, poprzez skale krótkie, o jednoczynnikowej strukturze, do skal wielowymiarowych.

Rotor cage failures are not regarded as the main cause of the induction motors breakdowns. An induction motor with broken squirrel cage bars can still be exploited, consecutive starts may be executed. At durability tests carried out by Komel Centre some years ago on a prototype 800 kW induction motor, it was stated, that even if 80% of the rotor bars were broken, the motor started fairy successfully and could be loaded. But any rotor cage failure (e.g. single bar or end ring fracture) causes electromagnetic asymmetry of the motor; main technical features of the motor are heavily deteriorated. Sound power level and vibration level become higher, efficiency factor lower, temperature rise of the stator winding may by higher. Starting (locked rotor) and breakdown torque is lower. In the paper special laboratory tests of a standard, 4 kW, 1500 RMP, 3 phase motor with aluminium rotor cast are presented. The tests were carried out on symmetric ("healthy") squirrel cage and on the cage with one, three and six broken bars. Several examples of large AC motors with damaged rotors and a reliable method for rotor squirrel cage diagnostics are presented.

Factors determining the Auger signal intensity are discussed. It is indicated that using standards is the only reasonable way for quantitative Auger analysis (QAA). Approaches to QAA without and with matrix corrections are presented. It is shown that the matrix correction connected with atomic concentrations of pure standards is the most important and that the other matrix corrections (e.g. those connected with the attenuation length and backscattering factor) do not improve appreciably the QAA exactness in many examples taken from the literature. The examples indicate that in the case of metallic alloys the properly performed QAA gives the relative atomic concentrations with the error not exceeding few percent.

Okazuje się, że jest ono pozytywnie związane z dobrostanem psychologicznym, zdrowiem fizycznym oraz pożądanymi efektami w relacjach interpersonalnych. Badacze poczynili duży postęp w rozwoju możliwości pomiaru zarówno przebaczenia konkretnych krzywd, jak i różnic indywidualnych w dyspozycji do przebaczenia. Skonstruowali wiele interesujących skal opartych na zróżnicowanych koncepcjach oraz zidentyfikowali zmienne sprzyjające przebaczeniu. jednocześnie w polskiej literaturze psychologicznej występuje niedobór badań w tym zakresie, co wynika z braku adaptowanych lub oryginalnych narzędzi do oceny przebaczenia. Artykuł zawiera przegląd najbardziej popularnych kwestionariuszy używanych na świecie w badaniach nad przebaczeniem sytuacyjnym. Prezentuje również wyniki analiz prowadzonych przy ich zastosowaniu.

Coal mine gas usually consists of methane, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Its appearance is a constant and well-documented concomitant of coal-mining. In the Ruhr Basin, Germany, after the shut-down of the mines, up to 1,000 cubic metres per hour of coal mine gas continue to escape from the pits and get into the atmosphere through special degassing systems. A not insignificant part of coal mine gas migrates in addition diffuse at the surface. Thus, a natural energy carrier is given up for lost. To make matters worse, the methane component of the coal mine gas could form an explosive mixture with air and it is ecologically harmful since it significantly contributes to the greenhouse effect: It is estimated that methane is approximately 21 times more harmful then carbon dioxide. Since 1994, engineers of the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology in Oberhausen, Germany, have been working on new concepts regarding:o the deliberate migrations of coal mine gas also effectively minimises potential dangers resulting from its uncontrolled emission, accumulation and forming explosive mixtures with air; o the energetic utilisation of coal mine gas from abandoned mines in CHP units (Combined Heat and Power Generation).Since 1998 UMSICHT operates several sucking-stations the danger defence and for potential inquiry of coal mine gas from abandoned mines. Therefore coal gas is sucked off of boreholes in the surface area (depth < 50 m) and boreholes into old workings of the abandoned mines. A result of the different sucking tests is the minimisation of the diffuse gas migrations. By the direct sucking of the old pit a substantially bigger area could be hold gas free than by sucking off surface boreholes. The sucking off of abandoned coal mines has resulted an increase of the CH4-concentration from 40% to more than 70% over the testing time independent of the atmospheric conditions. During the time of sucking (more than 3 month) an influence to the pressure in the abandoned mine could not verified. Water ring pumps and roots-compressors in different kinds of operating are tested in the sucking-stations.Coal mine gas is estimated to be available for a long time. An economic utilisation seems to be possible within the next decades. The gas deposit within the coal mines of North-Rhine Westphalia is enormous: It is considered to amount to approximately 120 million tons of methane per year, most of it energetically utilisable. The utilization of coal mine gas is one way to reach the aims of the Kyoto-Conference. Therefore the energy generation with coal mine gas is supported in Germany by a guaranteed price for the produced electrical energy since 2000. Because of the decreasing coal-prices in many countries a lot of mines were abandoned in the last years. Dezentralizied CHP-concepts created by UMSICHT are one way for an effective and quick solution of the problems of these mines.

Upon the restitution of Ukrainian independence in 1991, the Polish-Ukrainian relations, next to the relations with Russian Federation, became central to polish foreign policy towards its direct neighbours in the East. In August 1993, for the first time since Ukraine’s definitive emancipation from the tutelage of Moscow, the Prime Minister Hanna Suchocka defined the relation between Warsaw and Kiev as a strategic partnership. Since then it has been treated almost as a magic spell which was usually used to compensate the lack of real content to fill the political declarations at different levels. Warsaw’s special hopes were associated with the Eastern Partnership, the first complete initiative introduced into the European Union’s external relations and addressed to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. A Joint Declaration was adopted in May 2009 in Prague during an official presentation of the new initiative of the European Union. Thus, the Eastern Partnership became an integral part of the European Union’s policy towards the countries addressed in the program. Fulfilment of the assumptions outlined in The Eastern Partnership with a substantive content is in spe will lead to a real integration of the partner countries and national and ethnic minorities residing in their territory with the European Union, and in the longer term lead to full integration. Guided by the EU’s values , standards and norms the writers and animators of the Eastern Partnership built its functioning on three basic principles:, co-ownership, differentiation and conditionality. They also outlined the areas of cooperation with countries covered by the partnership in such fields as human rights, market economy, sustainable development, efficient and effective management, energy security and others. Considering the Eastern Partnership in this form, amongst other, Poland should concentrate its efforts on activities aimed at introducing Ukrainian issues at various forms of international cooperation, determining the relationship between the Eastern Partnership and other regional organizations promoted by the European Union, further institutional placement of the Eastern Partnership within the framework of the European Union, and in purely practical dimension on liberalization of visa regime with the perspective of its abolition.

Although personality characteristics have been conceptualized as influencing individuals’ propensity to forgive, the findings in this field are inconsistent and require further studies. The five-factor model has been explored most frequently, and personality traits, especially agreeableness and neuroticism, have been found to be related to forgiveness. This study investigated the relationships between five personality domains and different aspects of dispositional forgiveness, termed forgivingness, namely positive and negative dimensions of forgivingness of oneself, other people, and situations beyond anyone’s control. Data were collected from 153 adults aged from 20 to 55 years. The participants completed the NEO-FFI Personality Inventory and the Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS). Correlation and regression analyses were performed. The results demonstrated that personality traits explained variance in most HFS subscales. Neuroticism, agreeableness and extraversion were significant predictors of different dimensions of forgivingness. Neuroticism negatively predicted the overall level of forgivingness and overcoming unforgiveness of self, others, and situations. Extraversion along with neuroticism also negatively predicted total forgivingness as well as overcoming unforgiveness in general and towards others. Agreeableness was significantly related to positive forgivingness in general and towards others.

In order to improve the properties of gypsum materials, including workability, mechanical strength and ability to retain water, various admixtures (also polymers), known as plasticisers, have been applied. These polymers can be soluble in water, such as cellulose and starch ethers, or unsoluble applied in a form of dispersion up to 5% of weight fraction. The admixtures are added into initial water and mixed with hemihydrate calcium sulphate in a proper ratio. In the hydration process of the hemihydrate into dehydrate, a crystallisation process leading to gypsum setting occurs. In the present work, a chitosan sample of DD=85% in two forms was applied: dissolved in 1% acetic acid and as a water dispersion in the weight fraction up to 1% of the gypsum matrix. The water to gypsum ratios of 0.6 or 0.74 was applied. The influence of chitosan on the rate of setting and kinetics of crystallisation of gypsum was investigated and discussed. The morphological structure of the resulting gypsum sample was examined using SEM microscopy. In the presented results, chitosan in the form of a 1% dispersion was a setting retardant and it changed the morphological structure of gypsum. However, mechanical tests showed a decrease of bending strength. When chitosan was applied as a biomaterial, the chitosan content in the composite was equal to 10%, and thus a compressing strength increased. The presence of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) in the gypsum matrix caused a small effect on gypsum setting in contrast to PVAc (polyvinyl acetate), which is a good admixture for both cement and gypsum [2,3].

Artykuł, przez porównanie dwóch wyrazistych postaci z powieści Sienkiewicza: Leona Płoszowskiego z Bez dogmatu oraz Petroniusza z Quo vadis, stanowi próbę ukazania postaw bohaterów, jakie przyjmują oni wobec religii. W odróżnieniu od wielu innych postaci z dzieł tego autora, nie uznają oni chrześcijańskiego modelu życia za jedynie słuszny – Petroniusz pozostaje przy pogańskich wierzeniach, w których się wychował, Płoszowski zaś, mimo tęsknoty za ściśle zarysowanymi zasadami wyznania katolickiego, ostatecznie wyrzeka się ich i pozostaje przy całkowitym zwątpieniu w prawa rządzące wszechświatem. Obaj bohaterowie ponoszą swego rodzaju klęskę: Płoszowski nie odnajduje celu życia i nie dostrzega w nim żadnego sensu, Petroniusz zaś nie widzi sposobu porozumienia między nim a otoczeniem, pogrążającym się w chaosie i podlegającym przemianom, których rezultatu nie można być pewnym.

The paper presents an analysis of the possibilities of using biogas in energy management of the cities and communities, including the purification of biogas excess to balance the unevenness in demand and supply side of biogas market (operating agricultural biogas plant). The case study describes the four technical acceptable scenarios of using agricultural biogas: variant I – combined heat and power production, variant II – supply of the local heat source, variant III – supply of the local heat source and the use of treated biogas (biomethane) in the local urban transport and variant IV – combined heat and power production and injection of conditioned biogas (biomethane) into the gas distribution grid. The identified variants were evaluated using the analytic hierarchy process multicriteria decision aid method in which the main evaluation criteria were technical, economic, social and environmental, as well as risk criterion. The results of the analysis indicate the possibility of rational use of excess biogas production by: treatment and use of liquefied biomethane for energy production or transport, or combined heat and power production, or use of biomethane injected into the distribution gas network, which can be the basis for the implementation of smart city and community strategy.

Opis:
Physical foundations of directional auger electron spectroscopy (DAES) and calculation of DAES profiles in single scattering cluster approach are presented. Limitations of this method (application only to investigation of the crystalline structure of homogeneous samples) is shown and explained as the result of participation of inelastically scattered electrons in the Auger signal generation. To extend the DAES application for the interface structure, the use of as low as possible energy of primary electrons is proposed because in such a case the participation of inelastically scattered electrons becomes negligible and single scattering cluster calculation should describe correctly the DAES profiles for interfaces. Besides, the extension of single scattering cluster calculations to the second elastic scattering is recommended. To check the technical possibility of DAES use in the proposed version, the Auger spectrum of Cu LMM peaks was recorded for a $Cu_3Au$(001) sample with the use of a retarding field analyzer with the primary beam energy 1200 eV. Quality of this spectrum seems to be good enough for using in DAES.

This paper aims at an analysis of the phenomenon of burnout and its psychological manifestations in a group of anesthesiologists and intensive care nurses compared to a group of those doctors and nurses who do not work in intensive care units. In order to verify the questions and hypotheses proposed, a well-known research tool has been applied, which is often quoted in psychology, i.e. the Burnout Inventory by Maslach MBI. Our study has proved that the anesthesiologists show a very high level of burnout whereas a level of burnout in doctors of other specialities oscillates within a low result. An analysis of the results in the group of intensive care nurses has pointed out the occurrence of the burnout syndrome yet only regarding the emotional burnout, however it has been significantly higher in the group of nurses of other specialities. In order to understand the nature of the phenomenon, it is necessary to carry out further research, including an analysis of the reasons for the work-related stress and the factors conditioning and protecting against the occurrence of the phenomenon.

Opis:
An elastic structure subjected to thermal and mechanical loading with prescribed external boundary and varying internal interface is considered. The different thermal and mechanical nature of this interface is discussed, since the interface form and its properties affect strongly the structural response. The first-order sensitivities of an arbitrary thermal and mechanical behavioral functional with respect to shape and material properties of the interface are derived using the direct or adjoint approaches. Next the relevant optimality conditions are formulated. Some examples illustrate the applicability of proposed approach to control the structural response due to applied thermal and mechanical loads.

Measurements of spontaneous polarization and pyroelectric coefficient versus temperature and electric field were performed for the TGS-TGSe crystals at a definite internal electric field. The obtained results are compared with the thermodynamic theory predictions. The temperature and electric field dependencies of pyroelectric coefficient are presented together with its maximal value as a function of the electric field intensity. It was shown that the temperature, at which the pyroelectric coefficient reaches its maximal value, depends on the external electric field.

Opis:
The dielectric permittivity in a biasing electric field and also the spontaneous polarization of LATGS crystals are measured near the ferroelectric phase transition. It is demonstrated that L-alanine admixtures change the parameters of dielectric state equation. It is shown that the bias field value decreases while approaching the phase transition temperature from the para-electric phase. The effective non-linearity coefficient B, near Tc, depends on electric field direction. This anomalous non-linear behaviour can be explained assuming asymmetric bias field dependence on external electric field.

Introduction: Nursing profession is physically and emotionally demandingPurpose:To determine the relationship between coping strategies and resilience, as well as perceived stress among nurses.Materials and methods: The study included 173 nurses from Świętokrzyskie province. Examination material was collected using the following tools: the Perceived Stress Questionnaire (KPS), The Resiliency Assessment Scale (SPP - 25), the Brief COPEResults: Among nurses emotion-focused strategies, such as: denial, self-blame and seeking emotions, positively correlated with the perceived stress. Resilience, and particularly personal skills to cope with and tolerate negative emotions, negatively correlated with the perceived stress.Conclusions:Resilience, to a lesser extent than coping strategies contributed to determination of the level of perceived stress.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is one of the most important health problems and one of the most common chronic diseases. The occurrence of COPD is associated with a particular dimension of physical suffering, the source of which is the difficulty in breathing. A significant percentage of patients experience the mental consequences of illness such as depression and anxiety disorders. The aim of the study was to analyze the prevalence of depressive symptoms in patients with medium-severe and severe forms of COPD and to assess the cost of coexistence of depression in this group of patients. The retrospective study, based on medical records, included two groups of patients: Group 1- 63 persons and Group 2– 60 persons. The study evaluated the following parameters: degree of severity of COPD according to Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD), degree of severity of dyspnea using the mMRC scale of dyspnea developed by the Medical Research Council and occurrence of depressive symptoms and their severity using the Beck Depression Scale questionnaire. Patients were treated at the CENTER for Respiratory Medicine between January 2016 and December 2016. Results of our study showed that in both treatment groups analysis of the answers received from the Beck’s Depression Scale questionnaire revealed that all these patients have depressive symptoms of varying severity.

The number of Internet users in Poland is permanently increasing, the vast majority of Y generation use the Internet at least once a week, while the youngest generation (born after 2000) consider the Internet to be a part of their normal life. Shopping online should be something natural and ordinary for Internet users and the main barriers of the development of e-commerce such as security of transactions, time and cost of delivery are regarded as a standard and truism. The ROPO effect is a major problem for the rapid development of the e-commerce sector. However, the analyzed clothing industry, due to the individual characteristics of products, is a different e-commerce area than others. The obtained results indicate that about 33% of women and men use the Internet as a place to get information about clothing products. Research Online, Purchase Offline, that is, search for information, reviews, or online prices, while buying in the traditional way. The purpose of the publication is to identify the size of the ROPO effect the clothing industry. In order to meet this goal, we analyzed the results of more than 4.000 respondents who have recently purchased clothing products.

Among all other Baltic States, Lithuania had a tradition of diplomatic relations with the Holy See, which began after announcing the state’s independence on 16th February 1918 and were continued up until the annexation of Lithuania by the USSR’s on 15th June 1940. When it comes to a system, the state-Church relations in the Republic of Lithuania were most of the time described as balanced. They featured from one side a constitutional inscription about the state and Church being separated, and from another – the constitutional right of religious organisations to function freely, according to their own laws and regulations, as well as rejecting the possibility to introduce any kind of state religion in Lithuania. Apart from the constitution and bills regulating the Catholic Church’s status in Lithuania, another law acts describing state-Church relations are three conventions signed by the Republic of Lithuania with the Holy See on 5th May 2000. They are as follows: agreement on cooperation within education and culture, the convention on law aspects of relations between the Catholic Church and the state, and the convention regarding military priesthood. Apart from the full Polish concordat from 1993, or Portuguese from 2004, the conventions with the Republic of Lithuania – right next to the Estonian convention from 1999, Latvian accordo generale from 2000 or the accordo with Slovenia from 2001 and with Croatia in 1996 and 1998 – should be considered one of the numerous classic partial concordats, signed with European countries during the pontificate of John Paul II.

Carbon thin films are often called in the literature, "diamond-like carbon" films. They consist of two basic allotropic forms of carbon, which are graphite and diamond. Carbon atoms with $sp^{2}$ bonds form after deposition of a graphite-like phase. Atoms with $sp^{3}$ bonds form a diamond-like phase. Diamond-like crystallites are built into a graphite-like phase matrix. In this paper there are presented experimental results of deposition of carbon films by the magnetron sputtering method and the results of analysis of the surface and phase structures of the deposited films. The amorphous carbon films were deposited from graphite targets on 316L steel substrates. The films were deposited at room temperature, in vacuum. The deposition time was 3 h; the depositions were conducted at two different distances between the substrate and the magnetron target.
