The safety of buses in road traffic is very important because of potential hazards of peoples' life and health, damage and loss of freight and high costs of crash effects. The technical state of all vehicles has been examined during required periodical inspections, but in spite of this, the technical conditions of large number of vehicles have been poor. The range of inspections and their frequency have been determined according to the law of each country. The methodology and frequency has been determined in accordance with domestic legislation. The methodology of technical inspections concerns only some important systems of vehicles but not all. For example, anti-lock systems, retarders, adaptive cruise control systems, speed limitation devices etc. have not been examined. The results of examinations of 120 buses and coaches have been presented in this paper. Tests were carried out in scope of securing safety in road traffic. The methodology of compulsory periodical inspections was applied during initial tests. Vehicles were examined on typical control stands and in road tests. A special methodology for road tests for coaches with anti-lock systems was elaborated. Additional checks were carried out in cases when the results of basic tests were unsatisfactory. More than 50 vehicles of the total number of examined buses were faulty.

In this paper author introduces problem of the reduction of diagnostic information in evolution condition machine for estimating state prognosis algorithms which are the basis for determining conclusion rules for estimating the next machine operation term and for state genesis which is the basis for rules creating of machine state estimation in the past. Automation of the investigation system of the evolution of the technical systems machines condition in which diagnosing distinguishes itself of prognose of the state and the genesis of the state requires the qualifications of the gathering of diagnostic parameters describing the change of the condition of the machine during exploitation. The results of investigations connected with the implementation of the procedures of monitoring the technical machine engines condition and their investigation for the chosen arrangements of mechanical vehicles were introduced.

This paper presents the results of studies on the influence of unbalance of the rotor unit of a turbocharger on its operational parameters. Identification of the study object, a turbocharger of the NAPIER C-045 type, has been performed. The experiment was carried out at a test stand identifying turbocharger operational parameters belonging to the rotor unit unbalance group. Basing on the measured values and using a mathematical model, hypothetical values of operational parameters for different loads of Diesel engines were calculated. The obtained experimental results were compared to the calculated ones. On this basis, the studied turbochargers were classified into one out of three categories describing operational utility class of a given turbocharger. The order of sensitivity of turbocharger operational parameters to the unbalance of the rotor unit was established.

It was found that there are discrepancies between the values of diagnostic parameters obtained in the test and natural exploitation. In addition, no appropriate tests are carried out which would be based on the degree of engine degradation in long-term natural use. One of the reasons is the lack of adequate, non-invasive diagnostic methods. The aim of the work was to show the possibility of creating a new diagnostic parameter of combustion engines in their natural operation. The parameter can be determined by a new method (presented in the article). The method is based on the assumption that the technical condition of the engine can be judged on the basis of the run-up curve, and in particular, on the basis of the linear direction coefficient, which is approximated by the points of the run-up curve at particular moments of the run-up. An additional requirement is that the points of the run-up curve are the average value of the speed from many runs. In addition, the statistical distributions of the speed values in the individual moments of the run-up should be of the same type. The direction coefficient of the straight line determined is a diagnostic parameter. The value of the new coefficient is the value of the straight-line factor. Further works are underway to determine the relationship between the directional coefficient and the technical condition of the engine.

The paper states theoretical assumptions of a new method of assessing the technical condition of piezometers. It presents the necessary instruments to carry out the assessment and discusses the research methodology of piezometers. The paper provides indicators and criteria for assessment of the technical condition of piezometers. The new method was introduced to hydrogeological practise in Bełchatów Lignite Mine. The paper presents the results obtained during the period of two years of application of the methods of the NSA Paramex Station. The summary contains the conclusions of existing applications.

Charakterystyki drganiowe stanowią ważne źródło informacji o stanie technicznym maszyny. W większości zastosowań dla złożonych maszyn diagnoza opiera się na widmach drgań, jednak wpływ na nie ma, oprócz parametrów stanu, wiele innych czynników. Alternatywnym sposobem uzyskania informacji o stanie technicznym maszyny jest analiza trendów drgań. Można to zrealizować przez zastosowanie tzw. symptomów ewolucyjnych, opisujących ilościowo zależność poziomów drgań od czasu. Z modeli teoretycznych można wywnioskować, że zarówno szybkość narastania, jak i odstępstwo od liniowości mogą być przyjęte jako symptomy diagnostyczne. Ocena eksperymentalnych trendów drgań, uzyskanych dla turbin parowych, potwierdza ten wniosek i wykazuje, że tego rodzaju symptomy pod wieloma względami przewyższają typowe symptomy drganiowe, wykorzystywane w procedurach diagnostycznych.
Vibration patterns provide an important source of information on machine technical condition. In most applications for complex machines, diagnosis is based on vibration spectra, but they are influence by many factors other than condition parameters. Consequently false alerts can be triggered. Analysis of vibration trends is an alternative way to extract information on machine technical condition. This can be achieved by employing so-called evolutionary symptoms, which describe quantitatively the time dependence of vibration levels. From theoretical models we may conclude that both increase rate and departure from linearity can be accepted as diagnostic symptoms. Evaluation of experimental vibration time histories, obtained for steam turbines, has confirmed this conclusion and shown that such symptoms are in many aspects superior to typical vibration-based symptoms employed in diagnostic procedures.

Wyznaczenie bieżącej nośności obudowy szybowej na podstawie badań, stanowi podstawę do oceny stateczności wyrobiska w trakcie jego eksploatacji. W niniejszej pracy odniesiono się do nieniszczących pomiarów sklerometrycznych, sygnalizując ogólne zasady ich wykonywania i sposób szacowania wytrzymałości obudowy w oparciu o uzyskane wyniki. Za bardzo istotny z punktu widzenia dokładności metody, uznano właściwy dobór związku korelacyjnego pomiędzy wytrzymałością materiału obmurza i liczbą odbicia, uznając za racjonalne oparcie go na badaniach na maszynie wytrzymałościowej próbek pobranych z rozpatrywanej konstrukcji.
Determination of current bearing capacity of shaft support, on the base of conducted tests, is the basis for an assessment of roadway stability during its operation. The work refers to non-destructive sclerometry measurements, presenting general principles of taking measurements and the method of estimation of the support strength basing on test results. Proper selection of the correlation between strength of shaft lining material and rebound number, that from rational point of view should be based on tests of the samples from a discussed structure, carried out on strength testing device, is very important as regards accuracy of the method.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań 500 samochodów użytkowych w aspekcie bezpieczeństwa użytkowania w ruchu drogowym. W badaniach wstępnych wykorzystano metodykę obowiązkowych okresowych badań kontrolnych. Badania prowadzono na stanowiskach kontrolnych oraz podczas prób drogowych. Dla samochodów wyposażonych w układy ABS pracowano specjalną metodykę badania. W przypadku stwierdzenia nieodpowiedniego stanu technicznego przeprowadzono dodatkowe badania w celu określenia przyczyn niesprawności. Ponad 280 pojazdów z grupy którą poddano kontroli było niesprawne.

The methodology of compulsory periodical inspections was applied during initial tests. Vehicles were examined on typical control stands and in road tests. A special methodology for road tests for heavy duty vehicles with anti-lock systems was elaborated. Additional checks were carried out in cases when the results of basic tests were dissatisfying. Above 280 vehicles of the total number of examined vehicles were faulty.

The modelling of transportation and transport processes in towns is a current problem. Recently, new transport planning models have been formulated on the principle of dividing the inhabitants into the groups with similar behaviour in the transport process. They are called non-aggregative or individual and this model is to be tested under the particular circumstances of the town of Žilina. The introduction of these methods in Slovakia fails because of the lack of the necessary data about the transport process, as it is difficult and costly to obtain them. They are transport sociological surveys in the households of the area. They would bring the necessary information. Comparison of some basic data is described on this paper.
Modelowanie transportu i procesów transportowych w miastach jest problemem aktualnym. Ostatnio opracowano nowe modele planowania transportu, oparte na zasadzie podziału mieszkańców na grupy o podobnym zachowaniu w procesie transportu. Są one nazywane niełączącymi się lub indywidualnymi i taki model ma być testowany w konkretnych warunkach miasta Żylina. Wprowadzenia tych metod na Słowacji nie udaje się ze względu na brak koniecznych danych o transporcie, ponieważ ich uzyskanie jest trudne i kosztowne. Są nimi socjologiczne badania transportu w gospodarstwach domowych na danym obszarze. Zapewniłyby one potrzebne informacje. Artykuł opisuje porównanie niektórych podstawowych danych.

W referacie przedstawiona została próba określenia jednej z metod oceny stanu technicznego elementów części przepływowej okrętowego turbinowego silnika spalinowego LM 2500, stano-wiącego silnik napędu głównego okrętów Polskiej Marynarki Wojennej klasy fregata. Dążenia do zwiększenia efektywności eksploatacji wszelkiego typu silników wymuszają poszukiwania nie-określonych dotychczas bądź doskonalenia istniejących sposobów utrzymania najbardziej ekono-micznej ich pracy. W związku z powyższym przeprowadzone zostały badania, których celem było zidentyfikowanie okrętowego systemu kontrolno-pomiarowego silnika LM 2500, utworzenie bazy danych parametrów charakteryzujących jego pracę oraz opracowanie ich charakterystyk eksplo-atacyjnych dla potrzeb diagnozowania. Wyniki tych badań poz.wolą na opracowanie metody wnio-skowania diagnostycznego o stanie technicznym silnika na podstawie pomiaru parametrów eks-ploatacyjnych.
In this paper there is presented test of working out one of the methods of determination of the technical condition of the gasturbine LM 2500 inner parts, that makes main propulsion engine of the Polish Navy ships frigate class. Aspirations for increase of the efficiency of exploitation all en-gines extort to search indefinite up to the present or to improve of existing methods of the keeping the most economic work of engines. Taking into account there were realised researches in order to identification of the ship's control system of the gasturbine LM 2500, making data base of the ex-ploitation parameters and realization of exploitation characteristics for needs of diagnosing. Re-sults of these researches gave possibility to realise the method of diagnosing conclusion about technical condition of the gasturbine on the base of the exploitation parameters measurement.

W artykule omówiono zasadnicze zmiany w procesie oceny stanu technicznego sekcji obudowy zmechanizowanej wynikające z nowelizacji przepisów. Wprowadzone zmiany uprościły znacznie proces oceny stanu technicznego, nie wpływając na szczegółowość oceny, mierzoną liczbą elementów zakwalifikowanych do remontu lub wymiany na nowe, w porównywanych okresach obowiązywania przepisów dotyczących oceny. Podano zbiorcze wyniki ocen stanu technicznego sekcji obudowy zmechanizowanej realizowanych z udziałem ITG KOMAG w wybranych kopalniach węgla kamiennego.
Main changes in the process of assessment the technical conditions of powered roof supports resulting from revision of regulations are discussed. The changes in regulations significantly simplified the process of assessment the technical conditions of powered roof supports not affecting the precision of assessment measured by number of components classified for repair or replacement in comparison to the similar period of previous assessment procedure. List of results of assessment the technical conditions of powered roof supports made with participation of KOMAG in the selected hard coal mines is given.

W artykule dokonano wstępnej analizy wyników badań kontrolnych stanu technicznego samochodów eksploatowanych w rejonie podlaskim na podstawie 546 badań technicznych pojazdów. Sformułowano wnioski o stanie technicznym pojazdów i jakości ich eksploatacji oraz porównano z analogicznymi wynikami badań przeprowadzanych przez Stacje Kontroli Pojazdów Dekry i TUV w Niemczech.
The paper presents a preliminary analysis of results achieved during technical control tests of 546 cars from Podlachia area. Conclusions concerning cars technical conditions and quality of its exploitation, as well as comparison with analogous results obtained by German Automobile Associations Dekra and TUV were made.

In the article, the authors presented the technical, technological, legal, and business conditions of the functioning of rail freight transport in the international transport market. The authors analyzed the literature, considering this area's most important national and international normative documents. An essential element of the considerations is the presented schematic concepts of models for various forms of rail freight transport. The main ways of organizing freight transport at the eastern border were also indicated. The reasons for barriers that negatively affect the competitiveness of rail transport with other modes of transportation, especially in international transport, were shown. The rail transport market has undergone many changes recently, including investments in railway infrastructure, the growing importance of intermodal transport, and support for a more sustainable transport system. The article indicates the reasons for the occurrence of barriers that negatively affect the possibilities of further development of railways and the competitiveness of rail transport with other modes of transportation, especially in international transport.

Opis:
Przeprowadzono badania mające na celu poznanie wyposażenia technicznego gospodarstw mlecznych w jednym z regionów centralnej Polski. Wyniki porównano z rezultatami podobnych badań, przeprowadzonych na tym samym obszarze w latach 2000-2002 oraz w połowie lat 90. ubiegłego wieku.
Studies were carried out to recognize the technical equipment of dairy farms in one region of the central Poland. Obtained results were compared with the results of similar study conducted on the same area within 2000-2002, as well as in the middle ninetieth of last century.
