Opis:
This paper presents the design and development of a semi-active suspension system for a vehicle. The main idea is to develop a system that is able to damp vibration of the vehicle body while crossing the bumps on the road. This system is modeled for a single wheel assembly and then the laboratory prototype of the complete system has been manufactured. It is used to physically simulate the spring-mass-damper system in vehicle and observe the frequency response to the external disturbances. The developed low-cost smart experimental equipment consists of a motor with offset mass which works as an oscillator to induce vibration, a spring-mass-damper system where the variable damper works as a pneumatic cylinder that allows varying the damping constant (c). Proportional-Integral (PI) controller is used to control the damping properties of the semi-active suspension system automatically. The system is designed in contrast to the most of the available suspension systems in the market that have only passive damping properties. The results of this research demonstrate the efficiency of the developed variable damper-based control system for the vehicle suspension system.

The safety and security of different foodstuffs are considered important and have a high priority in global sustainable development. The contents of Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Ni, Pb and Cd were estimated in edible parts of 60 vegetable samples, irrigation water and agricultural soil collected from 5 farms in suburban areas around Riyadh district, Saudi Arabia. Also, soil pollution indices, pollution load index and contamination factor (PLI, CF), bioaccumulation factor (BAF), non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risk indices (HQ, THQ, and ILCR) were estimated. The content of heavy metals in irrigation water and soil was within the recommended permissible levels, except for Cd in soil, which exceeds permissible levels. The trend of metal concentrations in both agricultural soil and vegetables was found in the order: Fe > Mn > Zn > Cu > Ni > Pb > Cd. Cluster analysis of the metal content in vegetables showed a tendency towards the accumulation of heavy metals in the order of leaves > roots > fruits > flowers > tuber. The BAFs values found were < 1.0, HQs values for Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn and Ni were found to be < 1, while the estimated HQs for Pb and Cd were > 1, posing greater risk to the health of adults and children. THQ values were higher for children compared to adults. ILCR values for Cd showed a serious issue, as it exceeds the threshold risk limit (>10−4) in all parts of the investigated vegetables in all sampling sites.

Opis:
Dead cells of Chlorella vulgaris were used experimentally to remove cadmium (Cd2+), copper (Cu2+) and lead (Pb2+) ions from aqueous solution under various conditions of pH, biosorbent dosage and contact time. C. vulgaris was isolated from Lake Manzala, (Egypt) and then cultivated outdoors, in growth media, maintaining pH of nearly 7.5. After cultivation, the cells were harvested by coagulation and prepared to make an experiment with different variants of pH, contact time and adsorbent dose. The adsorption specific characteristics of C. vulgaris were examined using Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy (FTR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The FTIR and SEM data showed vibration frequency changes for the peaks corresponding to the surface functional groups and morphological changes of C. vulgaris, respectively, after its exposure to metal ion solution. The maximum removal efficiency for copper and lead at ambient room temperature was recorded at pH 5 and 20-minute contact time, while the contact time of 120 minutes at pH 6 created the most suitable conditions for cadmium biosorption. On the other hand, 2 g dm-3 of C. vulgaris under optimum conditions was sufficient to remove 95.5%, 97.7% and 99.4% of Cd2+, Cu2+ and Pb2+, respectively, from a mixed solution of 50 mg dm-3 of each metal ion. The removal trend was in order of Pb2+ > Cu2+ > Cd2+. The results suggested that the biomass of C. vulgaris is an extremely efficient and environmentally friendly biosorbent for the removal of Cd2+, Cu2+ and Pb2 from aqueous solutions, which may be applied on a large, industrial scale.

The agent technology has recently become one of the most vibrant and fastest growing areas in information technology. On of the most promising characteristics of agent is its intelligence. Intelligent agent is the agent that percepts its environment, collects all information about its environment that it needs, processes these information and then generate proper actions according to these information. This paper discusses trends and differences between two main types of intelligence that can be applied to agent: accumulative intelligence and dynamic intelligence. Accumulative intelligence is discussed with its two perspectives: moment perspective and historical perspective. Auto-vehicle driver is also discussed as an application example of accumulative intelligence. Also, MOSAIC, Mimesis, and MINDY models are reviewed as the pioneering works of dynamic intelligence.

In the present study, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) has been applied for the determination of chromium and cadmium contents in wastewater of different canneries surrounding by leather factories. The plasma was generated with a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser having a fundamental wavelength of 1064 nm and delivers maximum pulse energy of 180 mJ. Experimental conditions were optimized to improve the sensitivity and to get a reasonable signal from the generated plasma. The results show that the concentration of chromium and cadmium are varying in different samples depending on the incoming flow of the wastewater from factories. The results from LIBS and standard analytical technique called flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS) were compared and found in good agreement within the experimental uncertainties.

The alumina-zirconia composites are one of the relatively good and promising candidates for biomaterials application, due to biocompatibility and their mechanical properties that combines high flexural strength with a high toughness. The aim of the present work is to analyze the mechanical properties of these composites, where zirconia content was varied from 5 to 50 wt%. The citrate gel method, similar to the polymerized complex method, was used to synthesize these ceramics. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and microhardness tests are used to characterize synthesized materials. The examined material exhibits the behaviour of indentation size effect. Modified proportional resistance model are used to analyze the load dependence of the microhardness. X-ray diffraction analysis was used to calculation of the grain size and dislocation density. It is found that hardness is decreased when the zirconia content increases with enlargement of grain size.

In this article, a simple design of rectangular microstrip feed planar antenna with wide arcs and square shape slot is proposed for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID),Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) and C/X-band wireless communications. The prototype of the antenna has been fabricated 1.0 mm thick ceramic filled bioplastic substrate by using optimal dimension obtained from design/simulations and antenna performances are experimentally tested. The experimental results confirm the impedance bandwidths for S11 ≤ −10 dB are of 712 MHz (0.355-1.067 GHz), 1.38 GHz (2.92-4.3 GHz) and 2.46 GHz (6.55-9.01 GHz) for 0.788, 3.34 and 8.01 GHz band respectively. The proposed antenna shows almost steady and symmetrical radiation patterns for all three bands with the maximum gains of 1.37, 2.8 and 3.56 dBi respectively. Based on the antenna performances, it can successfully cover the frequency band requirement for RFID, WiMAX and C/X-band applications.

Estimation of satellite three-axis attitude using only one sensor data presents an interesting estimation problem. A flexible and mathematically effective filter for solving the satellite three-axis attitude estimation problem using two-axis magnetometer would be a challenging option for space missions which are suffering from other attitude sensors failure. Mostly, magnetometers are employed with other attitude sensors to resolve attitude estimation. However, by designing a computationally efficient discrete Kalman filter, full attitude estimation can profit by only two-axis magnetometer observations. The method suggested solves the problem of satellite attitude estimation using linear Kalman filter (LKF). Firstly, all models are generated and then the designed scenario is developed and evaluated with simulation results. The filter can achieve 10e-3 degree attitude accuracy or better on all three axes.

High chromium (Cr) toxicity has turned into a serious environmental concern. Cr contaminated agronomic soils negatively affect the growth and yield of crops. Current research was conducted to enhance the phytoextraction potential of maize by using Burkholderia vietnamiensis and citric acid (CA). Plants were subjected to three concentrations of Cr (0.86, 350, and 500 ppm). A pot experiment was conducted under greenhouse conditions with completely randomized design (CRD). After 72 days of experiment, plants were harvested to analyze the morphological and biochemical attributes of soil, bacteria and plant. Results revealed that plant fresh, dry biomass, root, shoot length and chlorophyll contents significantly increased by 56%, 50%, 58%, 78% and 60%, respectively, at 500 ppm Cr concentration in combine treatment of B. vietnamiensis and CA. Maize plants treated with both B. vietnamiensis and CA significantly increased the bioaccumulation (BA) of Cr up to 50% and translocation factor (TF) by 31%. Furthermore, superoxide dismutase (SOD), proline and peroxidase dismutase (POD) activities in leaves were markedly increased by 30%, 42% and 15%, respectively, when treated with CA. Current study reveals that exogenous co-application of B. vietnamiensis + CA enhance plant growth by alleviating heavy metal stress and accelerate the phytoextraction of Cr. Taking into account the heavy metal tolerance and accumulation capacity, Zea mays is suitable for phytoremediation of contaminated soils in combination with B. vietnamiensis and CA.

The citrate gel method, similar to the polymerized complex method, was used to synthesize homogeneous tetragonal zirconia at 1000°C. Nanocrystalline tetragonal phase has been fully stabilized at wide temperature range with 10 mol.% CaO, MgO, and $Y_2O_3$ addition. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and microhardness tests are used to characterize synthesized materials. The grain size and dislocation density were calculated from X-ray diffraction data. The examined material exhibits indentation size effect behavior. Results revealed that the Vickers and Knoop microhardness are dependent on indentation test load. Geometrically necessary dislocation model and modified proportional resistance model are used to analyze the load dependence of the microhardness. The highest hardness values were obtained for the samples with CaO addition; however the lowest values were acquired for sample stabilized with $Y_2O_3$ by using both Knoop and Vickers techniques. This situation might be explained using the Hall-Petch relation.

This paper presents the kinematic analysis of the H20 humanoid mobile robot. The kinematic analysis for the robot arms is essential to achieve accurate grasping and placing tasks for object transportation. The H20 robot has dual arms with 6 revolute joints with 6-DOF. For each arm, the forward kinematics is derived and the closed-form solution for the inverse kinematic problem with different cases of singularities is found. A reverse decoupling mechanism method is used to solve the inverse kinematic problem analytically by viewing the arm kinematic chain in reverse order. The kinematics solution is validated using MATLAB with robotics toolbox. A decision method is used to determine the optimal solution within multiple solutions of inverse kinematic depending on the joints’ limits and minimum joints motion. The workspace analysis of the arm is found and simulated. Finally, a verification process was performed on the real H20 arms by applying blind and vision based labware manipulation strategies to achieve the transportation tasks in real life science laboratories.

Tropospheric nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is a trace gas with important impact on atmospheric chemistry, human health and a key pollutant in particular cities, measured from space since the mid-1990s by the GOME, SCIAMACHY, OMI, and GOME-2 instruments. This study present ten years (monthly and yearly averaged) dataset from Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) used to investigate tropospheric NO2 characteristics and variations over Iraq during 2005–2014. Annual NO2 shows an elevation from the northern to the southern and highest values was at central parts of Iraq. Monthly distributions revels higher values NO2 in winter and summer than spring and autumn seasons, and rising NO2 throughout study period over industrial and crowded urban zones. The trend analysis over Baghdad shows a linear growth rate 9.8% per year with an annual average (5.6·1015 molecules per 1 cm2). The air mass trajectory analysis as hotspot regions shows seasonal fluctuations between winter and summer seasons depend on weather conditions and topography. The increased NO2 values in winter are due to anthropogenic emissions and subsequent plumes from Europe. In addition, in summer because of hot weather and large paddy fields emissions. The lowest NO2 value was at monsoon period mostly linked to the rains. The OMI data and satellite information are able to observe the troposphere NO2 elevation at different regions.

Opis:
In general, the biosorption of heavy metals by various types of non-living organisms appears to be a very effective, low-cost and innovative method for their removal from aquatic environments. The aim of this study was to determine the applicability of adsorption isotherms and kinetic models during the biosorbent activity of non-living Chlorella to the removal of Cd, Cu and Pb. Dead cells of Chlorella vulgaris were used to remove these heavy metals from aqueous solution in experimental conditions, i.e. under various condition of pH, biosorbent dosage and contact time. Afterwards, the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models and the sorption kinetic (pseudo-first and pseudo-second order models, and intraparticle diffusion) were applied to the experimental data to check the effectiveness of the removal process. The removal of heavy metals on C. vulgaris following the order of Pb+2 > Cu+2 > Cd+2 was confirmed by the maximum biosorption capacities (qmax), the Langmuir constant (b), separation factor (RL) and Freundlich intensity parameter (1/n) values. The equilibrium data were well fitted with the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order model and it suggested that such kinetics is the most effective. The present results confirmed highly efficient biosorbent activity of C. vulgaris in the removal of heavy metals, especially Cd, Cu and Pb, from aqueous solution. The environmentally friendly origin indicates that non-living cells of C. vulgaris could find many broad-scale, cost-effective and alternative applications.

Opis:
Epidemic outbreaks of avian influenza (AI) virus H5N1 have been frequently reported in Egypt during the last nine years. Here we investigate the involvement of AI H5N1 in outbreaks of acute respiratory disease that occurred in several commercial chicken farms in Egypt in 2011, and we describe to the pathology caused by the virus in the course of the outbreak. Twenty-one chicken farms with history of acute respiratory symptoms and high mortalities were screened for AI H5N1. Virus identification was based on hemagglutination inhibition test, and PCR detection and sequencing of the hemagglutinin and neuraminidase genes. Virus distribution was determined by immunohistochemical staining of AI antigens in organs of infected birds. Standard H&E staining was performed for histological examination of affected organs. Eighty-one % of the examined birds, representing 100% of the screened farms, were positive for AI H5N1 virus. Phylogenetic analysis of the hemagglutinin and neuraminidase genes of the isolated virus reveals its affiliation to clade 2.2.1. Viral antigens were localized in the endothelial cells of the heart, liver, lungs and skin, where pathological lesions including congestion, hemorrhages, multifocal inflammation and necrosis were concurrently observed. According to the pattern of the viral antigen and lesion distribution in the visceral organs, we suggest cardiovascular and circulatory failures as the probable cause of death during these outbreaks. In conclusion, the present study further confirms the epidemic status of AI H5N1 virus in Egypt and reveals the highly pathogenic nature of the local isolates.

Opis:
Varying forms of solar radio burst were classified by their frequent changes in time, which are known as drift rate. There are 5 types of radio emission were named type I, II, III, IV and V. This paper is highlighted on the type III event which occurred on 27th August 2015. In the IP medium, type III solar radio burst can be classified in three different groups which representing three different situations of electron beam production and propagation which are isolated, complex and storm type III burst. The most powerful manifestation of solar activity is solar flare together with coronal mass ejections, eruptive prominences and the solar wind are the solar events which affect the earth's atmosphere and can cause geomagnetic disturbance. In this study, the effect of M class flare with solar radio burst type III was investigated. During the day, the solar wind proton density seems to be high which is 8.4 protons/cm3 and accompanied by normal solar wind speed of 348.7 km/Sec. Spaceweather.com reported that there is one sunspot was detected (AR2403) and M class of the flare was detected during the day at 0544 UT. The data geomagnetic signal shows that during the day only geomagnetic disturbance that occur no such geomagnetic storm since the sunspot not facing the earth directly.

The study area is located in the North-Eastern part of the Nile Delta, northern of Ismailia canal and western Suez Canal. It comprises an area of about 3,058.8 km 2 (728,285.38 feddans). This work aims to identify the main physiographic units and its features, as well as emphasise the importance of combining soil taxonomy (2014) and WRB classification (2022) systems. Two main physiographic units were distinguished in the study area according to the previous studies, interpretation of satellite image and digital elevation model (DEM) as well as field observations; the first consists of fluvio-marine flats and the second river terraces which include the fluvial and deltaic origin. According to field morphological descriptions as well as chemical and physical analyses, representative profiles are classified by using both Soil Taxonomy and WRB systems. The current study is the third manuscript to emphasise the importance of using both systems together in order to obtain maximum possible characteristics of the earth. Below are examples that illustrate this importance. Soils of profile No. 4 which represent the fluvio-marine soils are classified according to soil taxonomy as follows: Typical Haplosalids, fine silty, mixed, thermic. While these soils are classified according to WRB as follows: Fluvic Sodic Solonchaks (Siltic/Loamy/Clayic, Chloridic, Evapocrustic, Ochric, Hypersalic). Soils of gypsiferous which represent soils of profile No. 6 are classified according to Soil Taxonomy as: Gypsic Aquisalids, loamy over sandy, mixed, thermic, whereas the application of the WRB system reveals the following: Fluvic Calcic Gypsic Sodic Gleyic Solonchaks (Loamic, Chloridic, Hypersalic).

Opis:
Several factors have crucial impact on the serviceability of underground openings including: the quality of rock mass; the presence of rock joints and their geometrical properties; the state of in-situ stress ratio; the depth below surface and opening geometry. This paper only investigates the effect of two parameters on the stability of underground shallow tunnels, namely: the presence of rock joints in the rock mass matrix and the shape of the excavation. A series of two-dimensional elasto-plastic finite-element models has been constructed using rock-soil, RS2D, software. Consequently, parametric stability analysis has been conducted for three different tunnel shapes (e.g. circular, square and horseshoe) with/without joint inclusion. Four reference points have been assigned in the tunnel perimeter (e.g. back, sidewalls and floor) to monitor the state of stress-displacement in the rock mass around them. The results indicate that the weak performance of a tunnel opening occurs with a square-shaped opening and when joints exist in the rock mass. In addition, the normal stress along joints sharply drops in the vicinity of a tunnel opening. Moreover, the direction of shear stress is reversed. Thus, it causes inward shear displacement.

Purpose: This work aimed at evaluating the properties of the ethyl silicate-based coating that can be applied on low carbon steel. Design/methodology/approach: Two mixture ratio types (2:1, and 3:2) of resin and hardener respectively were used to prepared two specimen models (A and B). Findings: It found that some mechanical properties (tensile, hardness, and impact strength) of ethyl silicate resin were evaluated according to standard criteria. Research limitations/implications: The effect of heat treatments at various temperatures (100, 150, and 200°C) and holding at different times (10, 20 & 30) min on hardness was investigated. Practical implications: Moreover, an open circuit potential corrosion test with a solution of 3.5% Sodium Chloride at room temperature and 60°C was used to determine the corrosion resistance of low carbon steel specimens coated with the two mixture types. Originality/value: The effects of mixture ratios (for resin and hardener) and heat treatment conditions on properties of ethyl silicate-based coating were studied. From obtained results, acceptable values of tensile, hardness, and toughness were recorded. Increasing heat treatment temperature and holding time leads to enhance hardness for both model types. An open circuit potential (OCP) tests show that there is an enhancement of protective properties of ethyl silicate coatings with mixture type B in comparison with type A was achieved. Generally, the results indicate that specimen model B has higher properties as compared with specimen model A.

Purpose: In this paper, the bending strength and buckling stability of (AA 7075-T6) aluminium plate weakened by many transverse cracks, which located at different positions, subjected to concentrated loads applied at the ends were analysed. Design/methodology/approach: Numerical modelling and calculation by the finite element method (ANSYS Package), for the critical load of bending and compression panel were estimated. Findings: It found that the variation of the critical stress in bending and buckling is proportional to the crack conditions (no. of crack and location). In general, the critical load in bending and buckling decreases with increasing the crack number in structure. Research limitations/implications: For both bending and buckling, two transverse cracks on one face of plate is more stable than two transverse cracks on opposite faces. Practical implications: In addition, many experimental tests were carried out by using an INSTRON test machine to obtain the buckling critical loads, where the experimental results were compared with the ones of the finite element method. Furthermore, bending strength was calculated theoretically for the cracked panel. Originality/value: Comparison between the experimental and numerical (FE based model) data and between the theoretical and nu-merical (FE based model) data for buckling and bending strength respectively indicate the precise and the simplicity of the developed models to determine the critical loads in such cases.

The Centre of the Sun is very important to be study because this layer is where the nuclear reaction will be occurred. During large event pre-flare usually continues a few minutes and followed by impulsive phase about 3 to 10 minutes. Solar storms such as solar flare and Coronal Mass Ejections are frequently occurred on the area of the Sun that have strong magnetic field or known as active region The release of the stored free magnetic energy that probably drives a CME can take many forms including (predominantly) mechanical in the form of an expanding CME and erupting filament, electromagnetic emission in the form of a flare, and also in the acceleration of energetic particles, magnetic field reconfiguration and bulk plasma motion. In this study, the data of active region of the Sun was taken from official website of the Langkawi National Observatory. The image of the active region was observed by using 11-inch Celestron telescope with solar filter. This data confirms that there was a strong M class of solar flare during the day due to eruption of AR 2529 was occurred on 18th of April. From the x-ray flux data also, it can be observed that few days before M6.7 class solar flare occurred, there were several C classes of flare. The evolution of small AR 2529 to a big heart-shape forms an eruption that producing strong M6.7 class of flare and three gradual CMEs. This strong flare caused significant impact around the high technologies of Pacific Ocean by fading the signal at frequencies below 15 MHz.

Solar Radio Burst Type II

Opis:
The solar flares are generated from electromagnetic radiation which is sudden oscillation of the stored energy in the magnetic field of the sun. Flares are categorized according to their brightness as C, M and X, where X is the brightest. The X class flares caused a long-time solar storm and ionospheric radio waves sparkling. The moderate level M class flares mostly effect polar cups and cause short-time radio sparkling. However, the C class flares are weaker than the X and M flares. In this work, we present an active region from the disturbance of magnetic field on the area of the Sun and may lead to powerful event if the magnetic field become stronger. The CALLISTO system network that has been installed in Gauri, India observed data that contain Solar Radio Burst Type II (SRBT II) occurred on 22nd December 2009 at 04:57 UT to 05:02 UT. Five active regions were obtained from online data via internet from the Space Weather website and the Solar Monitor website. All data and information from these sources assist in analyze of the phenomena. The magnetic field and X-ray flux, proton density increase the possibilities that SRBT II observed by CALLISTO network to generate powerful solar flare. When X-ray flux level was at maximum, then solar flare was at peak point. However, solar activity level was low because among of five active regions present, only one C-class flare event occurred. The most active region that contributes this event is an AR11036 with C-class flare.

Opis:
This research investigates a thermo-mechanical strength of three geometrical shape designs of an internal combustion (IC) engine piston by a finite element analysis (FEA). FEA was performed using Solidworks software for modelling geometrical piston designs, and the models were imported into ANSYS software for thermo-mechanical fatigue simulation. The work focused on predicting high stress intensity and indicated the fatigue critical regions and life of the piston shape design. AL7075-T6 aluminium alloy was used as a piston material and thermo-mechanical fatigue simulation was conducted based on the experimental stress-number of cycles recorded data from literature. Analytical results showed the similarity of the critical failure positions to some real failures in the IC engine piston, and the shape design modification of the piston. Hence, this concept can be used to satisfy the IC engine design needs at low cost.

This Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) study is currently one of a main sub-research in radio astronomy in Malaysia. The main objective of this monitoring is to test and qualify the potential of radio astronomical sources that can be observed in Malaysia generally. Analysis process focuses at indoor and outdoor of Faculty of Applied Sciences, UITM Shah ALAM, Malaysia (latitude: 03°06.534’N, longitude: 101°50.396’E). There are three mobile network communications that operate at the upper band frequency of 1800MHz, which are Maxis (1805-1830 MHz), Celcom (1830-1855 MHz) and Digi (1855-1880 MHz) for GSM/LTE network. We observed that both sites having the highest and second highest peak at the same frequency of 420 MHz and 1835 MHz with the same source, which were due to mobile application followed by the lowest peak due to radio navigation satellite. We verified that the source of RFI of 1835 MHz at the Faculty of Applied Sciences may come from Celcom mobile telecommunication network signal because there is transmitter on top of two Celcom towers. This observation must be continuously done to ensure that RFI level does not increase drastically and to ensure that allocation spectrum band that was reserved for radio astronomy activities was always protected.

During solar activity the energy particles of the sun released due to solar flare, Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), coronal heating as well as sunspot. Solar radio burst will be observed in the presence of solar activity such solar flare, CMEs and solar prominence as the indicator for those events to happen. During the peak of solar cycle, the filaments are present due to the active magnetic field and solar storm’s explosion. This type of solar radio burst normally can be seen in the phase of impulsive solar flare. Therefore, it is crucial to understand field line connectivity in flare and the access of flare accelerated particle to the earth. In this study, we highlighted on the observation of solar radio burst type III on 9th of May at 05:31 UT till 05:44 UT. The event was successfully recoded by e-CALLISTO using BLEINSW radio telescope. The Solar Radio Burst Type III that had been observed was related to the Coronal Mass Ejections and the mechanisms that trigger the events have been discussed. It is shown that the CMEs is believed to happen because of the magnetic filament that connected to active region (AR) 2339 was erupted, and combination of two wild filament produced a bright CMEs. Fortunately, the expanding cloud does not appear to be heading for earth.

The solar radio burst type II on 4th November 2015 was associated with minor CME that not lead towards the Earth. This clear type II burst recorded on spectrographs detected by the antenna in several locations (Gauri, Almaty, Kasi and Ooty) were obtained from CALLISTO website. The average time of the burst occurred are around 03:24 UT until 03:28 UT with the clear minor CME emerged recorded by SOHO at 03:12 UT. Although it just a minor CME but it is still giving the effect on Earth as it contributes to geomagnetic disturbance on the Earth during that day. The affected region reported by The Local news is Sweden, where the radar system for aviation was not clear, but it is back to normal after a few hours later. This geomagnetic disturbance is powerful enough that may cause the satellite damage, endanger astronauts and produce destructive surges on power grids.

A palynofacies study carried out across the Cretaceous–Palaeogene (K–Pg) boundary in the El Haria Formation at Ellès, northeastern Tunisia, revealed the presence of organic matter dominated by marine palynomorphs, mainly dinoflagellate cyst assemblages. Continental palynomorphs (sporomorphs) and amorphous organic matter (AOM) are also present in all samples. The total organic carbon (TOC) content is generally less than 0.7 wt.%. The Rock-Eval S1 parameters vary from 0.01 to 0.3 mgHC/g rock. The Rock-Eval S2 parameters vary from 0.15 to 0.57 mgHC/g rock. The hydrogen index (HI) and oxygen index (OI) values range from 61 to 214 mgHC/g TOC and 149 to 638 mgHC/g TOC, respectively. The Tmax values range from 420 to 440°C. The TOC, Rock-Eval pyrolysis and palynofacies analyses indicate that the El Haria Formation is characterized by immature organic matter type II and III and a low thermal alteration index (TAI). Also, the authors present in this paper the biostratigraphic, palaeoenvironmentl and palaeobiogeographic framework for the dinoflagellate cyst assemblages below and above the Cretaceous–Palaeogene boundary in the Ellès section.

Opis:
Global agriculture is a pivotal activity performed by various communities worldwide to produce essential human food needs. Plant productivity is limited by several factors, such as salinity, water scarcity, and heat stress. Salinity significantly causes short or long-term impacts on the plant photosynthesis mechanisms by reducing the photosynthetic rate of CO2 assimilation and limiting the stomatal conductance. Moreover, disturbing the plant water status imbalance causes plant growth inhibition. Up-regulation of several plant phytohormones occurs in response to increasing soil salt concentration. In addition, there are different physiological and biochemical mechanisms of salt tolerance, including ion transport, uptake, homeostasis, synthesis of antioxidant enzymes, and osmoprotectants. Besides that, microorganisms proved their ability to increase plant tolerance, Bacillus spp. represents the dominant bacteria of the rhizosphere zone, characterised as harmless microbes with extraordinary abilities to synthesise many chemical compounds to support plants in confronting salinity stress. In addition, applying arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) is a promising method to decrease salinity-induced plant damage as it could enhance the growth rate relative to water content. In addition, there is a demand to search for new salt-tolerant crops with more yield and adaptation to unfavourable environmental conditions. The negative impact of salinity on plant growth and productivity, photosynthesis, stomatal conductance, and changes in plant phytohormones biosynthesis, including abscisic acid and salicylic acid, jasmonic acid, ethylene, cytokinins, gibberellins, and brassinosteroids was discussed in this review. The mechanisms evolved to adapt and/or survive the plants, including ion homeostasis, antioxidants, and osmoprotectants biosynthesis, and the microbial mitigate salt stress. In addition, there are modern approaches to apply innovative methods to modify plants to tolerate salinity, especially in the essential crops producing probable yield with a notable result for further optimisation and investigations.

On 16th March 2016 the solar radio burst type II is recorded to appear on spectrograph after the type III formation. These two bursts related to the Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) event that recorded by the SOHO spacecraft several minutes before the formation of Type III on the spectrograph. It has been reported that the Type III burst a fast drift compared to the Type II burst. In this paper, the calculation has been proved that the type III burst has a higher drift rate compared to Type II. These two events of Type II and III burst also has been contributing to the formation of C class flare with magnitude of C2.2 It is also proven that the type III burst has a fast drift rate compared to type II burst. In this case, the type III has a fast drift rate of 81% compared to the type II burst. During this event, the active region AR 12522 erupted the C-class X-ray emission with magnitude of C2.2 contribute to these type III and II burst

The paper examines the effects of working capital management on Malaysian SMEs profitability within the sight of control factors measured by the size of the firm, leverage, and sales growth. Secondary data was drowned from Companies Commission of Malaysia, database for 66 SMEs in Malaysia for the period between 2006-2012. Panel data regressions were applied in the analysis. Empirical results established a negative effect of working capital administration measures: Stock Turnover in Days, Days Account Receivables, and Cash Conversion Cycle on SMEs benefit intermediaries, Return on Equity (ROE) and Return on Assets. The results also established a positive effect of Net Operating Profit on Cash Conversion Cycle. Furthermore, the study also revealed a positive effect of Days Account Payables on SME’s Return of Asset and Return of Equity, yet having a negative effect on Net operating Profit. The findings imply that profitability of Malaysian SMEs relies upon effective working capital management. The results imply that Profitability of Malaysian SMEs depends upon effective working capital management. The paper contributes empirical evidence on the effect of working capital on Malaysian SMEs.

Opis:
Renewable energy resources have become a promissory alternative to overcome the problems related to atmospheric pollution and limited sources of fossil fuel energy. The technologies in the field of renewable energy are used also to improve the ventilation and cooling in buildings by using the solar chimney and heat exchanger. This study addresses the design, construction and testing of a cooling system by using the above two techniques. The aim was to study the effects of weather conditions on the efficiency of this system which was installed in Baghdad for April and May 2020. The common weather in these months is hot in Baghdad. The test room of the design which has a size of 1 m3 was situated to face the geographical south. The test room is thermally insulated and connected to a solar chimney which generates a convection current to draw the air out of the room through a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger was submerged in a water tank of 2 m length, 1 m width and 1 m height. It was also covered with a layer of soil mixture with a thickness of 10 cm. The experiment simulates the natural conditions of a shallow water surface, connected to the room from the other side. The study results revealed that the air temperature inside the test room was lower than that of the ambient air outside. Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there was a strong direct relationship between solar radiation, temperature and wind speed from one side and the cooling efficiency from the other side. Also, there was a negative correlation between relative humidity and cooling efficiency.

Opis:
During a survey of myxosporean parasites infecting freshwater fishes from the River Nile at Giza Governorates, Egypt between March and September 2016, nine out of 30 specimens of the Nile carp Labeo niloticus (Cyprinidae) were found to be naturally infected with Myxobolus naffari (Myxobolidae). Small macroscopic plasmodia appeared embedded in the host gill tissue accompanied with fusion of the gill epithelia, and atrophy was observed at the site of infection. The host reaction was manifested by the encapsulation of the plasmodia with a thick layer of connective tissue. The plasmodia appeared as white, elongated rods between gill filaments with an intensity ranging from three to eight cysts/fish. The average dimensions of plasmodia were 1.2–2.0 (1.8 ± 0.2) mm long × 0.4–0.7 (0.6 ± 0.2) mm wide. The spores were oval, reaching 9.56–11.2 (10.2 ± 0.2) μm long and 6.5–7.7 (7.0 ± 0.4) μm wide with two equal-sized polar capsules regularly arranged at the anterior pole of each spore. They were 4.51–5.5 (5.1 ± 0.4) μm in length and 1.5–2.0 (1.7 ± 0.2) μm in width. Histological, semi-thin sections were taken through parasite plasmodia and transmission electron microscopic examination of ultrathin sections was performed to describe the developmental stages of the recorded parasite within the host fish.

Opis:
Purpose: The present work aims to investigate the influence of CO2 laser spot welding (LSW) parameters on welding profile and mechanical properties of lap joint of AISI 321 thin sheet metals, and analyze the welding profile numerically by finite element (FE) method. Design/methodology/approach: The weld carried out using 150 W CO2 continues wave laser system. The impact of exposure time and laser power on the welding profile was investigated using an optical microscope. Microhardness and tensile strength tests were used to evaluate the mechanical properties of the joint. Ansys software was utilized to simulate the welding profile numerically. Findings: The results revealed that 2 s exposure time and 50 W power have led to uniform welding profile and highest shear force (340 N), lower hardness gradient across the heat affected zone (HAZ) and fusion zone (FZ). Finite element (FE) analysis of the welding profile showed good agreement with experimental analysis. Research limitations/implications: The selection of laser spot welding parameters for thin sheet metal was critical due to the probability of metal vaporisation with extra heat input during welding. Practical implications: Laser welding of AISI 321 steel is used in multiple industrial sectors such as power plants, petroleum refinement stations, pharmaceutical industry, and households. Thus, selecting the best welding parameters ensures high-quality joint. Originality/value: The use of CO2 laser in continuous wave (CW) mode instead of pulse mode for spot welding of thin sheet metal of AISI 321 austenitic stainless steel consider a real challenge because of the difficulty of control the heat input via proper selection of the welding parameters in order to not burn the processed target. Besides, the maintenance is easier and operation cost is lower in continuous CO2 than pulse mode.

Using the e-CALLISTO network radio observations on 1st June 2015, we present an analysis of the complex type III and type II solar radio bursts during low activity. This event occurred on 1st July 2015 at 13:52 UT (complex solar burst type III) and 13:40 UT - 13:44 UT (solar burst type II). Solar burst type detected at (i) BIR, (ii) BLENSW, (iii) Essen, (iv) Glascow (v) Osra, (vi) Rwanda. The spectral shape consists of high flux densities at meter wavelengths. The energy going into plasma heating during each flare was estimated by computing the time evolution of the energy content of the thermal plasma and obtaining the peak value. This constitutes a lower limit to the thermal energy, since it does not account for the cooling of the plasma prior to this time nor to any heating at later times. It is also believed that the meter wavelength branch of the this type III spectrum may be attributable to second-phase accelerated electrons to form type II burst. There are four sunspots of the active regions (AR2355, AR2356, AR2357, and AR2358) during this event. The solar wind recorded during the event is 342.4 km/s and the density of the proton recorded is 4.1 protons/cm3. Moreover, the are some evidence that radio-quiet CMEs mostly came from the edges of the sun. The main goal of this study was to determine whether is there any possibilities that the radio burst can be formed even the Sun is at low activity and this event is one of the candidate events.

The profile of microbial diversity in a NABR digesting RPMW was investigated using phylogenetic analysis of partial 16S rRNA sequences by a neighbor-joining-tree, supported by microbial morphology analysis by SEM. The results showed that microorganism inside NABR consisted of dominant Bacillus (25 strains) and Bacterium (1 strain) which were isolated from the settled sludge at the bottom of the reactor, whilst Bacillus (2 strains), Pseudomonas (2 strain) and Chryseobacterium (2 strain) were isolated from the biofilm formed on the packing material. It revealed that the microbial community strains, function, and structure changed simultaneously throughout the reactor system. The microscopic results showed rich biofacies, while the dominant microorganisms have various morphologies in every compartment of the system. It consisted of a long rod-shaped and filamentous bacterium composed majorly of bacilli of different sizes. Although the study successfully analyzed the microbial diversity and morphology in the system, the microbial communities reported in this study were different from other similar studies. This may be caused by the application of a culture-based technique that usually provides limited information due to the number of barely cultivated or uncultured strains.

The complex solar radio burst type III is very related to generation of Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs). In a previous study, they deduced that the burst was produced by electron beams accelerated in blast wave shocks and injected along open magnetic field lines, similar to the herringbone bursts at metric wavelengths. Usually, if there is another solar flare recorded during complex solar radio burst type III it should be type II burst. Different for this event, the single solar radio burst recorded occur 8 minutes 30 seconds before the complex solar radio burst type III. The Coronal Mass Ejections also recorded occurred 7 hours before the single and complex solar radio burst type III. It is noted that CMEs occurred several hours before this event recorded by the SOHO websites. It is proved that the production of coronal mass ejection contributed to the production of complex solar radio burst type III.

The wave-wave interaction and wave-particle interaction influenced the characteristic structures of the emission. The CALLISTO spectrometer has been used to detect and record the Type IV and Type III occurred during 22:07UT till 22:11 UT and it only took about 3.30 minutes to occur. The range of frequency of this burst 20-85 MHz and data is from ROSWELL-NM observatory. With the presence of the data, we aim to determine the causes of the Solar Radio Burst Type IV produced Type III burst in several minutes and describe briefly about the formation and dynamics of solar radio burst type IV occurred on active region, AR2335 which also produced beta-gamma magnetic field. This event showed the strong pulsation and a broadband pattern with details about Type IV burst, then Type III burst present in fast drift. AR 2335 is the most active region and produced X2-class of solar flares which has solar wind speed about 361.6km/second and proton density about 4.3 protons/cm3 in the solar corona. AR 2335 harbor energy for X2-class from 6-H to 24-H observation on X-Ray solar flares have been recorded. The data showed that it has a strong energy electrons presence during the burst occurred in the active region and this class of solar flares are more powerful which has potential to cause radio blackout and long lasting space weather storms. As the conclusion, the sun activity showed on 5th May 2015 has quasi-periodic pulsation that has continuum and drift in lower frequency. The temperature that corona took to extend from the top of a narrow transition region still be as mysterious properties.
