    Rozpatrzono problem badania asymptotycznej stabilności liniowych układów dynamicznych dwuwymiarowych (2D). Podano komputerowe metody badania asymptotycznej stabilności modelu Roessera w przypadku ogólnym oraz analityczną metodę w przypadku szczególnym układu skalarnego. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładami liczbowymi.
    The problem of asymptotic stability of linear dynamic 2D systems is considered. Computer methods for asymptotic stability analysis of the Roesser model in the general case and analytic method in the case of scalar systems are given. The considerations are illustrated by numerical examples.

    Przedstawione w pracy wyniki dotyczą opracowania efektywnych metod identyfikacji źródeł pól w układach będących przedmiotem badań w inżynierii kolejowej. Zaprezentowano oryginalną metodę identyfikacji źródeł polegającą na wyznaczeniu punktu stacjonarnego funkcjonału mocy. Wykazano korzyści tej metody, m.in. jej użyteczność w przypadku zredukowanej ilości danych pomiarowych ograniczonych tylko do pomiarów na brzegu badanego obszaru. Zastosowania metody przedstawiono na przykładach układów 1-D i 2-D.
    In this paper there are presented results of investigations regarding mathematical constructions of effective methods for identification of field sources in systems studied in railway engineering. Especially the original sources identification method with the use of a power functional was established. In this case a solution can be obtained as a stationary point of the power functional presented in a such form which depends only on sources localizations as independent variables. The profits of application of this method are indicated. One of these profits is a obtaining the correct solution in the case of reduced measurement data i.e. when only values of potential function on the border of an investigated area are known. Some examples of applications are shown for 1-D and 2-D systems.

    Opis:
    A method of analysis for a class of descriptor 2D discrete-time linear systems described by the Roesser model with a regular pencil is proposed. The method is based on the transformation of the model to a special form with the use of elementary row and column operations and on the application of a Drazin inverse of matrices to handle the model. The method is illustrated with a numerical example.

    It is shown that the reachability and controllability of positive 2D linear systems are not invariant under the state-feedbacks. By suitable choice of the state-feedbacks the unreachable positive 2D Roesser model can be made reachable and the controllable positive 2D Roesser model can be made uncontrollable.

    It is well known that convolutional codes are linear systems when they are defined over a finite field. A fundamental issue in the implementation of convolutional codes is to obtain a minimal state representation of the code. Compared with the literature on one-dimensional (1D) time-invariant convolutional codes, there exist relatively few results on the realization problem for time-varying 1D convolutional codes and even fewer if the convolutional codes are two-dimensional (2D). In this paper we consider 2D periodic convolutional codes and address the minimal state space realization problem for this class of codes. This is, in general, a highly nontrivial problem. Here, we focus on separable Roesser models and show that in this case it is possible to derive, under weak conditions, concrete formulas for obtaining a 2D Roesser state space representation. Moreover, we study minimality and present necessary conditions for these representations to be minimal. Our results immediately lead to constructive algorithms to build these representations.

    The notion of internally positive 2D model (system) with delays is introduced. Solution of the 2D linear models with delays is derived. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the internal positivity and reachability of the models are established. The Cayley-Hamilton theorem for the 2D linear models with delays is extended. The minimum energy control for the internally positive 2D models with delays is formulated and solved.

    In this paper, we present a simple algorithm for the reduction of a given bivariate polynomial matrix to a pencil form which is encountered in Fornasini-Marchesini’s type of singular systems. It is shown that the resulting matrix pencil is related to the original polynomial matrix by the transformation of zero coprime equivalence. The exact form of both the matrix pencil and the transformation connecting it to the original matrix are established.

    A method of reduction of descriptor 2D continuous-discrete linear systems with regular pencil to equivalent standard linear systems is proposed. The method is based on the shuffle algorithm. A polynomial matrix version of the method is also given. The inverse problem of reduction of standard systems to descriptor systems is considered as well.
    W pracy podano metodę redukcji singularnych układów 2W ciągło-dyskretnych o pękach regularnych do równoważnych układów standardowych. Metoda ta opiera się na algorytmie przesuwania. Podano również wersję wielomianową tej metody opartą na działaniach elementarnych na macierzach wielomianowych. Pokazano, że odwracając procedurę metody wielomianowej można przekształcić układ standardowy do układu singularnego.

    Abstract: The aim of the article is to answer the question in what situations and contexts departing from traditional typographic and editorial norms and conventions turns out tobefortunate, aswell as to present the mechanisms of introducing non-traditional solutions among readers and on the market, and thus shaping typographic and editorial usus. After defining thebasic terms for the article: typographic and editorial usus, typography itself and the concept ofacongenial book, traditional Polish typographic layouts and editorial solutions are presented on the example of the quarterly “Pamiętnik Literacki” (“Literary Memoir”) and the series Biblioteka Narodowa (National Library). Next, 11 representative publications on typography, prepared by the d2d.pl company, are analysed from this angle. The analysis covers such aspects of layout astheparameters of headings, text alignment, the function of highlights, the method ofi solating quotations, the use of margins, pagination, types of figures, the location of footnotes, the form of their numbers and references in the main text, the use of first and second degree quotation marks, as well as the appearance of ornaments. The analysis leads to the conclusion that inthe case ofbooks dealing with typography, preserving their original typographic form was the best possible choice, because this form, no less than the content of the text itself, conveys information about the views and recommendations of the authors. The introduction of such solutions tothe Polish publishing market and to the readers’ awareness by apublishing house respected intheeditorial environment undoubtedly influences the typographic and editorial usus, and it can beexpected that in time it will also transform the related norms.
