Opis:
Despite intensive development of numerical methods of resolution of ordinary differential equations, we still seek analytical solutions of these equations in the algebraic form. The analytical solution in an algebraic form, is very convenient in case of investigation of the course of solution in a large interval of changes of parameters, it also gives more qualitative informations. This concerns first of all linear equations which are the most often met models of physical objects. Important advantage of these solutions is also their open form regarding established state of the system. The paper proves existence of algebraic forms of solutions of control vectors with components: exponential, sinusoidal with different circular frequencies and sinusoidal multiple. Also solutions for other kind of control vectors which are mentioned in the literature are presented.

A new approach for construction of an object maneuvering model for evaluation of movement trajectory using Kalman filter is proposed. The approach proposed is based on application of the object's dynamic equations. Such approach is better for obtaining adequate models of object maneuvering in comparison with the known ones. The state equations of Kahnan filter are derived for describing the movement of a ship maneuvering by the heading.

The paper describes the implementation of a modified state equation for perfect gas and Tammann equation into a 3D RANS solver FlowER. In the modification the specific heats are assumed as linear functions of temperature. A 5-stage LP steam turbine stage is calculated, and the comparison of results for constant and variable specific heats is illustrated. The modification significantly improves the correctness of determination of thermodynamic parameters in the entire flow region, especially in the exit stage.

Opis:
In the paper the fractional order, state space model of a temperature field in a two-dimensional metallic surface is addressed. The proposed model is the two dimensional generalization of the one dimensional, fractional order, state space of model of the heat transfer process. It uses fractional derivatives along time and length. The proposed model assures better accuracy with lower order than models using integer order derivatives. Elementary properties of the proposed model are analysed. Theoretical results are experimentally verifed using data from industrial thermal camera.

Opis:
Linearisation of non-linear differential equations is a significant problem in analysis and synthesis of non-linear state equations. There are many methods of linearisation [1-7] that convert the non-linear state equation (1) into the linear form described by equation (2). Up to now there has been created neither classification of these methods nor comparison mechanisms. Criteria proposed in the paper are: the linear approximation accuracy, the cost, the complexity of linearisation process and ability for dynamics investigations, stabilisation and synthesis. The linear approximation accuracy is a maximum difference between the non-linear equation solution and its linear approximation or the mean-square error in the defined time interval. There can be used an absolute or a relative value. The cost determines a time needed to perform computations with use of the linear model on computers of the same calculation efficiency. In this case there can be also used a relative value. A complexity is a term usually describing the algorithm and its implementation. In this case the complexity describes the amount of work needed to obtain the linear approximation. The measure depends on the number of transformations and their complexity for the same number of state variables. The last criterion shows the rank of the linear approximation for using it for investigation of system dynamics, stabilization of non-linear system and changing its dynamics (synthesis). On the basis of partial criteria there is determined the global criterion (10), describing a particular linearisation method. The considerations are illustrated by the example of an electrical circuit with the non-linear state equation.

Opis:
Variations in the thermodynamic state of a dispersive medium, caused by sound, are studied. A bubbly liquid and a Maxwell fluid are considered as examples. Curves in the plane of thermodynamic states are plotted. They are in fact pictorial images of linear relations of excess pressure and excess density in the acoustic wave which reflect irreversible attenuation of the sound energy. The curves account for the nonlinear generation of the entropy mode in the field of sound. In the case of Maxwell fluids, loops may form under some conditions. Curves and loops for some kinds of stationary waveforms and impulse sound are discussed and compared.

The paper is intented to show a new, state space, discrete, non integer order model of a one-dimensional heat transfer process. The proposed model derives directly from time continuous, state space model and it uses the discrete Grünwald-Letnikov operator to express the fractional order difference with respect to time. Stability and spectrum decomposition for the proposed model are recalled, the accuracy and convergence are analyzed too. The convergence of the proposed model does not depend on parameters of heater and measuring sensors. The dimension of the model assuring stability and predefined rate of convergence and stability is estimated. Analytical results are confirmed by experiments.

A series of numerical simulation was performed on the application of the impedance mismatch technique to the experimental study of the equation of state (EOS) of porous carbon. Our conclusion is that this technique is useful for such a study up to laser intensities of the order of 1014 W/cm2 (in second or third harmonic of the Nd-laser). However, the inclusion of the radiation transport is important for the correct description of the shock propagation and can affect the results.

The BKW equation parameters and gaseous product co-volumes were reparametrized for CHNO explosives which release no condensed carbon when detonated. This estimation has led to a more reliable (correct) parameter set of the BKW equation because all of the possible errors due to the uncertainties in the phase composition and equation of state for nanoscale condensed carbon, the inhomogeneity of composite explosives, and so forth, are eliminated. The estimation was performed using an optimization database of 24 explosives, including 121 measurements of detonation velocity and pressure. Three parameters of the BKW equation and the co-volumes of 45 gaseous products were optimized. A set of 10 explosives having a small negative oxygen balance was checked. The resulting set provides a several-fold smaller error in calculating the detonation velocity and a more accurate prediction of the detonation pressure, as compared to the known sets of BKWRDX, BKWR, BKWS, and BKWC.

The majority of homing guided missiles use gimbaled seekers. The equations describing seeker gimbal system are highly nonlinear. Accurate nonlinear control of the motion of the gimbaled seeker through the attached DC motors is required. In this paper, an online technique for finite-horizon nonlinear tracking problems is presented. The idea of the proposed technique is the change of variables that converts the nonlinear differential Riccati equation to a linear Lyapunov differential equation. The proposed technique is effective for wide range of operating points. Simulation results for a realistic gimbaled system with different engagement scenarios are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
