In this article we define Musielak−Orlicz−Sobolev spaces on arbitrary metric spaces with finite diameter and equipped with finite, positive Borel regular outer measure. We employ a Hajlasz definition, which uses a pointwise maximal inequality. We prove that these spaces are Banach, that the Poincaré inequality holds, and that the Lipschitz functions are dense. We develop a capacity theory based on these spaces. We study basic properties of capacity and several convergence results. As an application, we prove that each Musielak−Orlicz−Sobolev function has a quasi-continuous representative.

We prove that some Banach spaces X have the property that every Banach space that can be isometrically embedded in X can be isometrically and linearly embedded in X. We do not know if this is a general property of Banach spaces. As a consequence we characterize for which ordinal numbers α, β there exists an isometric embedding between $C_0(α+1)$ and $C_0(β+1)$.

Given a topological space ⟨X,T⟩ ∈ M, an elementary submodel of set theory, we define $X_M$ to be X ∩ M with topology generated by {U ∩ M:U ∈ T ∩ M}. We prove that if $X_M$ is homeomorphic to ℝ, then $X = X_M$. The same holds for arbitrary locally compact uncountable separable metric spaces, but is independent of ZFC if "local compactness" is omitted.

Mursaleen introduced the concepts of statistical convergence in random 2-normed spaces. Recently Mohiuddine and Aiyup defined the notion of lacunary statistical convergence and lacunary statistical Cauchy in random 2-normed spaces. In this paper, we define and study the notion of lacunary statistical convergence and lacunary of statistical Cauchy sequences in random on χ2 over p- metric spaces dfined by Musielak and prove some theorems which generalizes Mohiuddine and Aiyup results.

Let X = (X,d) be a metric space and let the product space X × ℝ be endowed with the metric ϱ ((x,t),(x',t')) = max{d(x,x'), |t - t'|}. We denote by $USCC_B(X)$ the space of bounded upper semicontinuous multi-valued functions φ : X → ℝ such that each φ(x) is a closed interval. We identify $φ ∈ USCC_B(X)$ with its graph which is a closed subset of X × ℝ. The space $USCC_B(X)$ admits the Hausdorff metric induced by ϱ. It is proved that if X = (X,d) is uniformly locally connected, non-compact and complete, then $USCC_B(X)$ is homeomorphic to a non-separable Hilbert space. In case X is separable, it is homeomorphic to $ℓ_2(2^ℕ)$.

In this paper we are concerned with the asymptotic behavior of random (unrestricted) infinite products of nonexpansive selfmappings of closed and convex subsets of a complete hyperbolic space. In contrast with our previous work in this direction, we no longer assume that these subsets are bounded. We first establish two theorems regarding the stability of the random weak ergodic property and then prove a related generic result. These results also extend our recent investigations regarding nonrandom infinite products.
