Many physical and technical problems are described by ordinary or partial differential eąuations. Among the analytical methods of solving differential eąuations, the methods based on the so-called integral transforms put forward on the first place [l6]. Possibility of making up the transforms tables of different functions is an advantage of integral methods of solving differential eąuations. Introducing into transforms [5 ] set some new elements is an aim of present elaboration. Theorem (1) appeared very helpful to transforms calculations. The authors also utilized the results of theorem (1) while sums of infinite power series calculation (2-13).

Quasi-analyticity theorems of Phragmén-Lindelöf type for holomorphic functions of exponential type on a half plane are stated and proved. Spaces of Laplace distributions (ultradistributions) on ℝ are studied and their boundary value representation is given. A generalization of the Painlevé theorem is proved.

The main aim of this work was a choice of a suitable numerical inversion method of Laplace transform to solving the model of gas flow through the measuring system for the determination of effective diffusion coefficient. In this paper, selected numerical Laplace inversion methods have been shown. These methods were implemented in the computer algebra system Maple®. Calculations have been made for a few tests of mathematical functions and the equation of heat conduction. The results allowed us to compare the accuracy of the calculations and speed of selected numerical inversion methods for Laplace transform. The Gaver-Stehfest method has proven the most effective to solving this problem.

Prezentowany artykuł zawiera rozwiązanie równania Laplace’a dla układu współrzędnych sferoidy spłaszczonej oraz obliczenia rozkładu pola magnetycznego wewnątrz sferoidy spłaszczonej umieszczonej w jednorodnym polu magnetycznym. Modelowana sferoida ma paramagnetyczne właściwości magnetyczne. Umieszczenie sferoidy spłaszczonej o takich właściwościach powoduje zniekształcenie rozkładu pola magnetycznego, największe odkształcenia są na granicach ośrodków. Wielkość tych zmian zależy od ułożenia modelowanej sferoidy względem polaryzacji pola.
The paper presents solution of the Laplace equation for the oblate spheroid coordinate system and calculation of the magnetic field distribution inside the oblate spheroid placed in a uniform magnetic field. Modeled spheroid is paramagnetic. The oblate spheroid with such properties deformation the magnetic field distribution, the biggest deformation on borders of resorts. The magnitude of these changes depends on the pose spheroids modeled the polarization field.

In many various practical problems we often deal with computing distribution functions of sums of independent non-negative random variables. In applied mathematics (ex. queueing theory) we can find many formulas with Stieltjes convolutions of distribution functions of random variables of the same type. Finding convolutions on the base of definition is not easy and convenient, because there are some technical problems connected with computations. There are some interesting ways to obtain such distribution functions applying other methods. In this paper we present methods connected with applications of generating functions and Laplace-Stieltjes transforms.

This paper analyses the transverse deflection in a homogeneous, isotropic, visco-thermoelastic beam when subjected to harmonic load. The ends of the beam are considered at different boundary conditions (both axial ends clamped, both axial ends simply supported and left end clamped and right end free). The deflection has been studied by using the Laplace transform. Numerical computation of analytical expression of deflection obtained after Inverse Laplace transform has been done using MATLAB software. The graphical observations have been discussed under various boundary conditions for different values of time and length. The above work has applications in design of resonators.

The diffusion-wave equation is a mathematical model of a wide range of important physical phenomena. The first and second Cauchy problems and the source problem for the diffusion-wave equation are considered in cylindrical coordinates. The Caputo fractional derivative is used. Przedstawiono procedurę wyznaczania koncentracji centrów defektowych w półprzewodnikach wysokorezystywnych na podstawie prążków widmowych Laplace'a otrzymywanych w wyniku analizy relaksacyjnych przebiegów fotoprądu. Stwierdzono, że intensywność prążka Laplace'a jest proporcjonalna do amplitudy składowej wykładniczej przebiegu relaksacyjnego związanej z termiczną emisją nośników ładunku z centrów defektowych o określonych właściwościach. Nową procedurę wykorzystano do określenia koncentracji wybranych radiacyjnych centrów defektowych w krzemowej warstwie epitaksjalnej napromieniowanej dawką protonów równą 1,7 x 1016 cm-2, a także w objętościowym monokrysztale krzemu, otrzymanym metodą Czochralskiego w polu magnetycznym (MCz Si), napromieniowanym różnymi dawkami wysokoenergetycznych neutronów. Stwierdzono, że koncentracja radiacyjnych pułapek TX1 (69 meV), identyfikowanych z kompleksami CiCs w krzemowej warstwie epitaksjalnej wynosi 2,5 x 1015 cm-3. Koncentracja pułapek TA6 (410 meV) identyfikowanych z lukami podwójnymi V2 (-/O) w MCz Si napromieniowanym dawkami neutronów 3 x 1015 cm-2 i 1 x 1016 cm-2 wynosi odpowiednio 4,0 x 1014 cm-2 i 5,5 x 1014 cm-3.
A new procedure for determining the defect center concentration from the Laplace spectral fringes, obtained as a result of analysis of the photocurrent waveforms, has been developed. It was found that the intensity of a Laplace spectral fringe is proportional to the amplitude of the exponential component of the relaxation waveform related to the thermal emission of charge carriers from a defect center with the given properties. The procedure is exemplified by the determination of the concentrations of selected radiation defect centers in an epitaxial layer of Si irradiated with a proton fluence of 1,7 x 1016 cm-2, as well as in samples of MCz Si irradiated with high energy neutrons. It was found that in the epitaxial layer, the concentration of the TX1 (69 meV) trap attributed to the CiCs complex is 2.5 x 1015 cm-3. In the latter material, the concentrations of the TA6 (410 meV) trap, identified with divacancies V2 (-/O), were found to be 4 x 1014 and 5.5 x 1014 cm-3 for the fluences of 3 x 1015 and 1 x 1016 cm-2, respectively.

Solutions to time-fractional diffusion-wave equation with a source term in spherical coordinates are obtained for an infinite medium. The solutions are found using the Laplace transform with respect to time t, the finite Fourier transform with respect to the angular coordinate , the Legendre transform with respect to the spatial coordinate , and the Hankel transform of the order n+1/2 with respect to the radial coordinate . In the central symmetric case with one spatial coordinate the obtained results coincide with those studied earlier.

W pracy podano definicję falki Laplace'a i sposób jej wykorzystania do celów diagnostyki uszkodzeń. Falka Laplace'a jest to pewna analityczna, zespolona i tłumiona funkcja wykładnicza co ułatwia analizę sygnałów odpowiedzi impulsowych. Dla tak zdefiniowanej falki zastosowano filtrowanie korelacyjne co pozwala na wyznaczenie parametrów modalnych analizowanego układu, na podstawie analizy jego odpowiedzi impulsowej.
In work the Laplace wavelet definition is given and it utilization to the damage diagnostics. The Laplace wavelet is a complex, analytic damped exponential wavelet and it is desirable wavelet basis to analyze signals of impulse response. A correlation filtering approach is introduced using the Laplace wavelet to identifying the modal parameters from vibration signals.

W literaturze naukowej problem lokalizacji uszkodzeń istnieje od dziesiątków lat. Polega on na rozwiązaniu zadania odwrotnego, czyli przybliżonego określenia lokalizacji uszkodzenia na podstawie funkcji i wartości własnych operatora w zadanym obszarze [1]. Algorytmy, przy pomocy których określa się położenie uszkodzenia wymagają skomplikowanych obliczeń [2]. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu chcieli w bezpośredni sposób, przy użyciu wartości własnych operatora Laplace’a dla kwadratu [0,1]×[0,1] znaleźć przybliżone miejsce w którym jest uszkodzenie.
In the following article we will try to find the dependence between the location of imperfections in a square measured [0,1]×[0,1] and the spectrum of the Laplace operator for this square. In theoretical considerations concerning the problem of the location of the imperfection for the fixe bounded domain we will take advantage of spectra theory results and, more precisely, the conclusion of the spectra thorem for compact and self-adjoint operators, which says that all eigenvalues of the Laplace operator on the bounded Ω⊆R^2 domain are positive have finite multiplicities and +∞ is the limit point of eigenvalues. These eigenvalues are dependent on location and size of the imperfection. However, we are interested in the inverse task which consists in localizing the imperfection of the domain on a basis of the spectrum of the operator. In the practical part we will determine the spectrum of 81 samples whose imperfection is placed in different points of domain. On a basis of numerical studies we will hypothesize about the dependence between the spectrum of the Laplace operator of the [0,1]×[0,1] square and the location of the imperfection.
