Sektor MSP od lat należy do najdynamiczniej rozwijających się i informatyzujących obszarów polskiej gospodarki. Zaawansowane rozwiązania ICT (Information and Communication Technology) stanowią warunek sine qua non nowocześnie funkcjonujących przedsiębiorstw tego sektora i wpisują się w proces transformacji cyfrowej. W artykule omówiono aktualne tendencje rozwojowe w zakresie informatyzacji nowoczesnych przedsiębiorstw sektora MSP. Dokonano tego na bazie wyników badań własnych autora przeprowadzonych w okresie 2014–2016 w wybranych przedsiębiorstwach województw mazowieckiego i wielkopolskiego oraz odniesiono je do ogólnych tendencji rozwojowych w zakresie globalnej transformacji cyfrowej.
An active sector of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Poland is a prerequisite of a properly functioning market economy. This sector encompasses various companies. The ICT (Information and Communication Technology) can help even the odds. SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) is the concept that four technologies are currently driving business innovation. SMAC creates an ecosystem that allows a business to improve its operations and get closer to the customer with minimal overhead and maximum reach. We have conducted a questionnaire-based survey to identify how polish SMEs perceive this phenomenon of e-business systems in era of digital transformation.

Corruption is a social phenomenon that has existed since the beginning in all communities, present in everyday situations, and affects the education system. We reviewed the various aspects of corruption in the Amazon education system basing on domination theory. We looked for factors that facilitate corruption in the education system and harm sustainable development in the Amazon. We have also shown the relationships between domination theory, scientific knowledge degradation, and sustainable development. We have identified some options to fight corruption in the education system to ensure sustainable development in the Amazon. We have implemented a qualitative research project under the Amazon Graduate Program to reach described goals. Our research methods included critical literature analysis, case study, direct observation, and content analysis to describe the literature review concepts. Through the Ishikawa diagram's graphic representation, we highlighted the causes of traditional domination and corruption sub-causes that cause the degradation of scientific knowledge and sustainability in the Amazon. The study concludes that the domination in the education system is similar to traditional domination. Corrupt actions can be decisive for preventing the construction of knowledge about Sustainability in the Amazon. The scenario warns of a crisis in the education system. Our findings allow us to suggest significant actions for coping with curbing corrupt practices and unethical actions in the system. Our Amazonian academy findings help reflect the reality of the managers and politicians sensitized with this investigative work.

The paper presents the main arguments that explain the causes for a productivity paradox formulated by American economist Robert M. Solow in 1987 in connection with the rapid development of information and communication technology. The paper discusses the conditions that need to be met to support the growth of productivity related to the use of ICT, particularly in developing countries. The analysis is based on a literature review focusing on the Solow paradox. It argues that there are two prerequisites to “see” a positive impact of ICT on productivity statistics: the time necessary for the completion of learning-by-doing processes, and the existence of ICT complementarities. ICT complementarities usually include changes in workplace organization and business processes, coupled with investment in human capital, foreign direct investment and the creation of an entrepreneurship-friendly institutional environment. The main conclusion from the analysis - in the context of how developing countries take advantage of ICT investment to accelerate the convergence process – is that special attention should be paid to ICT complementarities. They are a key determinant of a productive use of ICT. Research studies reviewed in the article show that it is not enough to simply invest in ICT capital stock (through investment in hardware and software) in order to materialize the benefits of ICT. Complementary investments are also necessary, mainly in human capital, changes in workplace organization at the enterprise level, and investment in intangible assets.
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie głównych argumentów, które wyjaśniają przyczyny paradoksu produktywności, sformułowanego przez R. Solowa w 1987 roku w związku z dynamicznym rozwojem technologii informacyjnych i telekomunikacyjnych. W rezultacie, artykuł omawia warunki, jakie powinny zostać spełnione, aby coraz szersze wykorzystanie ICT faktycznie wspierało wzrost produktywności, w szczególności w krajach rozwijających się. Analiza ma charakter przeglądu literatury dotyczącej badań nad paradoksem Solowa. Jej wyniki wskazują, że ujawnienie się pozytywnego wpływu wdrożenia ICT na produktywność wymaga po pierwsze czasu, a po drugie – zaistnienia komplementarnych w stosunku do ICT inwestycji. Wśród czynników komplementarnych wymienia się zazwyczaj zmiany w organizacji pracy i procesach biznesowych, inwestycje w kapitał ludzki, bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne, a także budowanie przyjaznego otoczenia instytucjonalnego dla przedsiębiorczości. Głównym wnioskiem z analiz, w kontekście możliwości wykorzystania inwestycji w ICT przez kraje rozwijające się do przyspieszenia procesów konwergencji, jest potrzeba zwrócenia szczególnej uwagi na czynniki komplementarne wobec ICT. Stanowią one kluczową determinantę produktywnego wykorzystania ICT – jak bowiem wskazują wyniki badań, aby osiągnąć korzyści z ICT nie wystarczy proste powiększanie zasobu kapitału ICT (poprzez inwestycję w sprzęt i oprogramowanie). Niezbędne są także inwestycje komplementarne – przede wszystkim w kapitał ludzki, wdrażanie zmian w organizacji pracy na poziomie przedsiębiorstw, czy inwestowanie w wartości niematerialne

The development and universal access to modern information and communication technologies have contributed to the popularization of interactive devices. Solutions tailored to individual customer needs have become an indispensable condition for the development of competitive advantage. The main objective of the publication is to provide an innovative project in the area of public transport – Poland’s first outdoor media stop. The paper presents the functionality of the applied tools dedicated to business customers. For the purpose of achieving the aim of the paper, desk research studies were conducted along with direct interview with the co-founder of GLIP Ltd. – the originator and creator of the presented information and communication solutions. The publication is of research and analysis character and the presented case study can provide a contribution to the in-depth research in the area of technology start-ups.

The paper presents a study about using Insta.Ling e-learning platform in university teaching process of English language for Biology students. The aim of this study is to estimate its effectiveness and the correlation between the number of repetitions and the number of words memorized. The total number of students involved in this research is 129 (6 student groups and in 3 academic years). They are all students of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University, Warsaw. The results allow to assume that Insta.Ling environment is an effective way to learn new vocabulary and regular sessions positively affect the number of vocabulary memorized.

Pour illustrer les changements et les problèmes posés par la question du développement inégal des connaissances entre les secteurs, nous analysons le domaine de l’éducation. Actuellement, les systèmes éducationnels doivent être des systèmes ouverts, car les activités transnationales et interdisciplinaires deviennent beaucoup plus importantes et la base pour des systèmes éducationnels strictement nationaux est infirmée. L’interaction économique, éducationnelle et culturelle entre les institutions éducationnelles et la vie économique dans différents pays est renforcée. Le contenu et la signification sociopolitiques de ces processus sont ambigus, mais ils suivent la nouvelle institutionnalisation de l’éducation qui est étroitement liée au développement de la société informationnelle.

Celem artykułu jest ocena zróżnicowania regionalnego Polski pod względem wyposażenia przedsiębiorstw w nowoczesne technologie ICT, w 2011 roku. W badaniach zastosowano metodę ELECTRE TRI opartą na modelu preferencji w postaci relacji przewyższania. Relacje te są określane na podstawie posiadanych informacji i reprezentują ściśle określone preferencje decydenta. Poza tym model ten nie narzuca przechodniości preferencji i dopuszcza sytuację nieporównywalności.
The aim of the article is the evaluation of regional diversity of Poland in terms of new ITC technology application in companies in 2011. Conducted research includes the ELECTRE TRI method that is based on a model of preferences in a form of outranking relations. Relations are defined according to information and represent strictly defined preferences of a decision maker. What is more, the model does not impose the transitivity of preferences and enables a situation of comparison impossibility.

Political role in solving this issue is played by the quality of the system of methodological support of the educational process on a certain discipline that should include informational technologies, that a colleague teacher unlike narrator- teacher has to use to create problematic lectures in their teaching activity.
Zasadniczą rolę w rozwiązywaniu tego problemu odgrywa jakość systemu wsparcia metodycznego procesu kształcenia na niektórych przedmiotach studiów. Wsparcie to powinno zawierać technologie informacyjne, aby nauczyciel nie był tylko narratorem, ale tworzył wykłady o charakterze problemowym.
