Opis:
This paper describes the study of ventilated car disc brakes stress-strain conditions and friction under the pressure using the ANSYS environment. Such influencing factors are taken into account in the course of research as angular speed value, the pressure of the pads on the disk, the nature of the load application, convection, thermal expansion, etc. Computer modelling of the stress field and the transient thermal field in the area of contact between the pads and the disk is provided by the method of sequential thermostructural communication of the intermediate states of the brake model directly in the ANSYS Coupled Field Transient environment. Besides, the ANSYS calculations were also performed based on the primitive assembly model of two steel blocks (the discrepancy was less than 3%) to determine the identity of the theoretical knowledge about the heating of bodies as a result of the work to overcome frictional forces. Finally, a high level of calculation results convergence by analytical formulas and computer modelling was established. Since this approach justified itself, its principles were taken as a basis in the calculations of ventilated disc brakes of cars, which significantly facilitates their application, knowing the area of the active part of the disc (the rest of the boundary conditions are typical and correspond to the normal operating modes of the vehicle).

Opis:
Purpose: Develop a method for determining and evaluating the stress-strain state, in particular the distribution of thermomechanical stresses in the materials of individual rotating parts of vehicles. Design/methodology/approach: The proposed method is based on the principle of gradual approximations of the solution when the boundary conditions are satisfied on the curvilinear limiting surfaces of the disk body. Findings: The proposed method of determining and estimating the distribution of thermomechanical stresses in the disk material makes it possible to take into account the variable geometry: thickness and presence of a hole in the central part of the disk, also correctly determine stress strain state at any point of unevenly heated rotating axial body. Research limitations/implications: The work uses generally accepted assumptions and limitations for thermomechanical calculations. Originality/value: It is proved that in real disks the stress-strain state is spatial, and the well-known method based on the hypotheses of the plane-stress state does not provide the possibility of calculating the values of stresses in the thickness of the disk. The obtained results can be used as a basis for improving the methodology of auto technical examination of road accidents. In addition, they can be taken into account by design engineers of car brake systems.

Opis:
Purpose: Approximately 5% of the adult population has one or more cerebral aneurysm. Aneurysms are one of the most dangerous cerebral vascular pathologies. Aneurysm rupture leads to a subarachnoid hemorrhage with a very high mortality rate of 45–50%. Despite the high importance of this disease there are no criteria for assessing the probability of aneurysm rupture. Moreover, mechanisms of aneurysm development and rupture are not fully understood until now. Methods: Biomechanical and numerical computer simulations allow us to estimate the behavior of vessels in normal state and under pathological conditions as well as to make a prediction of their postoperative state. Biomechanical studies may help clinicians to find and investigate mechanical factors which are responsible for the initiation, growth and rupture of the cerebral aneurysms. Results: In this work, biomechanical and numerical modeling of healthy and pathological cerebral arteries was conducted. Patient-specific models of the basilar and posterior cerebral arteries and patient-specific boundary conditions at the inlet were used in numerical simulations. A comparative analysis of the three vascular wall models (rigid, perfectly elastic, hyperelastic) was performed. Blood flow and stress-strain state of the two posterior cerebral artery aneurysm models was compared. Conclusions: Numerical simulations revealed that hyperelastic material most adequately and realistically describes the behavior of the cerebral vascular walls. The size and shape of the aneurysm have a significant impact on the blood flow through the affected vessel and on the effective stress distribution in the aneurysm dome. It was shown that large aneurysm is more likely to rupture than small aneurysm.

The paper contains comparing calculations of the stress fields in an elastic plate with notch along the arc of a circle, ellipse or parabola obtained by analytic method based on complex Kolosov-Muskhelishvili potentials and by numerical variation-difference method. These fields differ by no more than 2%, which, in particular, indicates the reliability of such numerical implementation. This discrepancy can be explained by the fact that in the analytical solution domain is unbounded, while the numerical calculation was carried out, obviously, for a finite field. The given stresses at the top of the notch along the arc of an ellipse or a parabola significantly increase with increasing of the relative depth of the notch (while increasing its depth or decreasing width).

Opis:
The article explores the stress-strain state of the pneumatic flexible shaft coupling of the tumbling mill drive using a software of finite element analysis. The study has revealed that the stress-strain state of the pneumatic flexible shaft coupling is characterized by an uneven general and local distribution of stresses. Areas of maximum stress and strain in the pneumatic flexible shaft coupling have been defined. The study allowed for changing the geometry and reducing the mass of the disc of the pneumatic flexible shaft coupling with a slight change in stresses and strains. The results of the study can be applied to the design of pneumatic flexible shaft couplings and serve as a basis for further research.

Granular GaAs:(Mn,Ga)As films were prepared by annealing at 500°C under ambient and enhanced hydrostatic pressure (1.1 GPa), of $Ga_{1-x}Mn_xAs//GaAs$ layers (x = 0.025, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05 and 0.063) grown at 230°C by molecular beam epitaxy method. Distinct influence of enhanced hydrostatic pressure applied during sample annealing on strain state of inclusions was found. An increase of lattice distortion and of strain of inclusions for the samples treated under hydrostatic pressure is related to different bulk moduli of GaAs and of MnAs

The stress-strain state of reinforced concrete elements is rather complicated issue of scientific research, which integrates different factors, such as the load type, atmospheric conditions, various defects, damages, geometric deviations. It is commonly known that corrosion of reinforced concrete elements affects both the strength and deformation parameters of the structure significantly; thus, internal stresses` parameters are also influenced. Therefore, detailed theoretical investigation of this issue is the main goal of this article. The detailed literature review and thorough analysis was conducted concerning previous experimental and theoretical studies of the corrosion defects` influence on the reinforced concrete elements` stress-strain state. Existing data and results were systematized and analyzed. On the basis of provided research it could be concluded that the reinforced concrete elements` stressstrain state greatly depends on existing damages and impurities. The stress-strain state could be complicated on micro-scale due to material chemical and mechanical peculiarities; simultaneously on macro-scale the bearing capacity is of the structure could be reduced in general. In the articles existing methods for this issue simulation and evaluation are described and perspective fields for further research are identified. The practical significance of the article is due to complex approach to the research and multilateral identification of the main issue key points.

Opis:
Each structure is exposed to different influences during operation. As a result, there are various defects and damages of these elements that affect their safe operation. The article presents the results of experimental studies of reinforced concrete beams with damages to stretched reinforcement made with and without initial load application. As the damages were accepted one or five Ø5.6 mm holes. In one case, the damage was made until the beam destruction (up to the 8.4 mm opening) Control samples of both series were destroyed due to crushing of the compressed zone of concrete. Samples that were damaged without initial loading collapsed due to rupture of the stretched reinforcement. The same type of failure was identified for damages at the operational load level.

Most of the modern computer software for the building structures` calculation is based on mathematical dependencies which make it possible to analyse rather complex stress-strain state of structures subjected to loading. As a rule, the calculation is based on the finite element method and is reduced to the calculation of deformations arising in structures due to the action of external forces with the use of real strain diagrams of materials, σ-ε diagrams for concrete and reinforcement. Modern normative regulations for reinforced concrete structures` calculation are also based on the deformation model using material deformation diagrams, which are as close to the real ones, as possible. Therefore, this study was aimed to investigate in more detail the stress-strain state and the physical essence of the processes occurring in reinforced concrete structures with combined reinforcement according to mathematical approaches and regulations of DBN B.2.6-98:2009 and DSTU B. In 2.6-156:2010. Namely, in the research is analysed the combined reinforcement of S245 steel tapes and A1000 rebar, which is used in the production of reinforced concrete elements. The results of mathematical modelling were compared with the calculation results, according to DBN B.2.6-98: 2009 and DSTU B. B 2.6-156:2010, as well as with field experimental data. Therefore, the conclusion could be made, whether it is possible to use this technique with sufficient accuracy to calculate reinforced concrete structures with combined reinforcement.

Opis:
The paper deals with the working peculiarities of the support zones of reinforced concrete elements subject to bending with due account of the eccentric compression and tension. The authors performed simulation of the stress-strain behaviour of the indicated structures with the aid of “Lira” software which results are shown in the graphical and tabulated form. The performed simulation allowed of tracing the work of the studied sample beams till collapse. Such approach made it possible to single out and generalize the main collapse patterns of the inclined cross-sections of the reinforced concrete elements subject to bending on which basis the authors developed the improved method to calculate their strength (Karpiuk et al., 2019).

Research on the influence of geometric parameters of body bottom elements on the stress-strain state (SSS) of the truck with the general application of computer simulation methods was conducted. The nature of the change in static stress and displacement depending on the change in the proportions of the crosssection of the channel at fixed geometric dimensions of the workpiece and the thickness of the workpiece and the bottom material of the body has been studied. Analytical, numerical and experimental methods were used in the study of the stress-strain state of the metal structure of car bodies. Its weight minimization is an important aspect of a truck body design. Because an excess weight leads to increased production costs, reduced payload and reduced fuel efficiency. According to the concept of weight reduction with the provision of a given strength, the body model with variable parameters of the bottom elements is modelled and analyzed. CAD - body models and analysis of the stress-strain state of the channels of the bottom of the bodies have been performed using the software package SolidWorks.

The development of oil fields at a late stage is characterized by a number of complications that determine the features of the operation of downhole equipment in pumping units. The use of electric-centered pumps in wells with intervals of increased curvature intensity requires a preliminary analysis of the possibility of lowering and operating the equipment at design depths. The aim of research is development of a new approach to evaluation the stress-strain state of pumping equipment, taking into account the features of the inclinometry of the intervals of its location. The analysis of the results of previous studies of the influence of the well profile on the operation of pumping equipment and recommendations for ensuring its performance is carried out. Given the possibility of operating equipment with limited levels of deformation, a mechanism is proposed for evaluation its stress-strain state using software products based on the finite element method. The reliability of the results is confirmed by comparison with those obtained in the course of analytical studies performed according to a previously tested methodology. Application of the proposed approach will allow to assess the level of deformation of individual elements of the equipment installations, taking into account their design features and the results of inclinometry.

Opis:
Purpose Develop a method for determining and evaluating the stress-strain state, particularly the distribution of thermomechanical stresses in the materials of individual rotating parts of vehicles. Design/methodology/approach The proposed method is based on the principle of gradual approximations of the solution when the boundary conditions are satisfied on the curvilinear limiting surfaces of the disk body. Findings The proposed method of determining and estimating the distribution of thermomechanical stresses in the disk material makes it possible to take into account the variable geometry: thickness and presence of a hole in the central part of the disk, also correctly determine stress-strain state at any point of unevenly heated rotating axial body. Research limitations/implications The work uses generally accepted assumptions and limitations for thermomechanical calculations. Originality/value It is proved that in real disks, the stress-strain state is spatial, and the well - known method based on the hypotheses of the plane-stress state does not provide the possibility of calculating the values of stresses in the thickness of the disk. The obtained results can be used to improve the methodology of auto technical examination of road accidents. In addition, they can be taken into account by bus drivers on urban routes when choosing a safe distance in heavy traffic, as well as design engineers of car brake systems.

The paper presents the numerical simulation of the shrinkage effect of concrete aprons. Three types of square aprons with the sides of 5, 10 and 20 mm and of the same thickness were considered. In simulations it was assumed the following properties of concrete: E = 32000 MPa, v = 0.17, p = 2.4e-9t/mm3, at = l 0-5. The shrinkage of concrete has been reported by the homogeneous temperature field in a plate. The plates were located on elastic foundation with stiffness k = 50 MN/m3. The foundation was simulated by using elements of GAP type, which did not transmit the drawings. Introducing the coefficients of rigidity in shear of GAP and the coefficient of friction between the foundation and the plate allowed to analysis the load plate friction forces caused by the shrinkage of concrete. The plate weight was taken into consideration, too. The numerical simulation was performed using the finite element method. Uniform changes in temperature -30° C and -60°C adopted in the analysis correspond to the values of contraction plates 0.3 mm/m and 0.6 mm/m. In practice, regular contraction joints are produced by notching of hardening concrete to a depth of about 1/3 the thickness of plate, for example, in a grid of 5 x 5 m. Studies show that in the case of protection of large-size plates from accidental shrinkage cracks, for example with the use of reinforcement, the stresses caused by the simultaneous change in temperature is not a major threat in slabs of large size.

Opis:
Stationary temperature distribution in a three-layer infinite hollow cylinder based on the thermosensitive body model was determined. The cylinder is subjected to the steady temperature on the inner surface and on the outer one is present the convective heat exchange. In the second layer exist heat sources with parabolic dependence on radial coordinate. The components of the thermostressed state have been found. The influence of the temperature dependence of the thermal and mechanical components characteristics of materials on the temperature distribution has been investigated.

The article is devoted to the overall view of experimental research of reinforced concrete beams with the simultaneous influence of the corrosion environment and loading. The tests have been carried out upon the reinforced concrete specimens considering the corrosion in the acid environment, namely 10 % H2SO4 that have been taken as a model of the aggressive environment. The beams are with span equalling to 1,9m with different series of tensile armature, concrete compressive strength and different length of impact of corrosion (continuous and local). The influence of simultaneous action of the aggressive environment and loading on strength of reinforced-concrete beams has been described. For a detailed study of the effect of individual components there was suggested additional experimental modelling of the only tensile armature damage without concrete damage. It will investigate the influence of this factor irrespective of the concrete.

Opis:
Management of wells in the process of their construction is one of the important factors in ensuring the safety of the technological process. Blowout equipment, which includes annular preventers, is used to control the wells. This applies to the construction of oil and gas wells, or wells that provide degassing of coal seams to reduce their gas-dynamic activity. For the purpose of safe and long-term operation of annular preventers on the basis of the theory of thick-walled combined reinforced shells and the carried-out analytical research, the mathematical model for research of a stress-strain condition of a seal of an annular preventer has been offered. Taking into consideration the real design, the seal of the annular preventer is modeled by a rubber shell, reinforced in the circular direction by rubber frames, and in the longitudinal direction by metal stringers. The mathematical model provides for determining the stiffness, internal force factors and stresses in the longitudinal and transverse sections of the combined rubber-metal seal, considering the peculiarities of its operation. At the same time, the model includes the conditions of interaction of the rubber base of the seal with a pipe, as well as the action of sealing pressure under operating conditions. The use of the proposed mathematical model reduces the costs of experimental research and will contribute to ensuring the reliability of simulation modeling results. The advantage of the method is the determination of calculated loads at different points of the combined seal under the existing state of dangerous zones and the influence of operating conditions. In the meantime, prerequisites have been created for expanding the possibilities of simulation modeling and designing structural elements of annular preventers with increased operational characteristics. The practical value of the obtained results is determined by the possibility of using them to ensure the performance of the rubber-metal seal both at the stage of its design and during the operation.

The paper presents the results of a numerical analysis of the stress-strain state of a rope strand with linear contact under tension and torsion loading conditions. Calculations are carried out using the ANSYS software package. Different approaches to calculation of the stress-strain state of ropes are reviewed, and their advantages and deficiencies are considered. The analysis of the obtained results leads us to the conclusion that the proposed method can be used in engineering calculations.

The paper presents the results of tests concerning the effect of the extrusion process in the complex strain state on the microstructure and properties of one of magnesium alloy with aluminium, zinc and manganese, designated AZ61. Due to its specific gravity, it is increasingly being used in the automotive and aerospace industries to reduce the weight of structural elements. As a result of plastic deformation processes, rods with a diameter of 8, 6 and 4 mm were obtained from AZ61 magnesium alloy. The microstructure analysis was performed using light and electron microscopy (STEM) techniques in the initial state and afterplastic deformation. Microstructure studies were supplemented with a quantitative analysis using the Metilo program. A number of stereological parameters were determined: average diameter of grain, shape factor. A static tensile test was carried out at 250ºC and 300ºC, at deformation rates of 0.01, 0.001 and 0.0001 m·s-1. Better plastic properties after deformation using KoBo methodwere obtained than with conventional extrusion.

The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the stress field and selected triaxiality parameters near the crack tip for C(T) specimen dominated by the plane strain state using the finite element method. It includes some theoretical information about elastic-plastic fracture mechanics, the basics of the FEM modeling and presentation of the numerical results. The FEM analysis includes calculations with large strain assumptions. The influence of the external load and crack length is discussed. Additional elements of the paper are a qualitative assessment of the size of plastic zones and the crack tip opening displacement.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań energochłonności piany niemetalicznej obciążonej przemieszczeniem. Głównym celem pracy była walidacja modelu numerycznego spienionego polichlorku winylu wraz z oceną zdolności pochłaniania energii przez podstawowy element konstrukcji energochłonnej obciążonej dynamicznie. Elementy energochłonne przebadano w KMiIS. Badania przeprowadzono na maszynie wytrzymałościowej Instron. Obciążenie realizowano przez wymuszenie kinematyczne.
In the present article, the results of investigations of energy absorption foam structures weighted down were presented. The main objective of this study was the validations of constitutive models for non metallic foam. Investigations were conducted on Dynamic Testing System INSTRON in KMiIS. The load was applied by input function kinematic.

This paper investigates the stress and strain state as well as formation processes of structure and features of aluminum alloys during the hot extrusion. It has been shown that during the hot extrusion the ring layers of an extruded element experience not only longitudinal and transverse deformations, but also a slip. The slip increases from inner layers to the surface layer. The tensile principal stresses and the sum of slip deformations also increase. It has been also demonstrated that at the exit of the pressing part the tensile principal stresses have different directions, forming an angle with extruder axis, which also increases towards the surface. In conclusion, it has been stated that the main radial and circumferential deformations act as restraining deformations.

Threaded joints are the most technological for piling up in the fields. However, violations of standard threaded joints account for 70% of all complications in pipe processing and production. These malfunctions result in significant material losses, reduced well productivity, and contamination of the wells and environmental pollution. Particularly acute is the loss of these sealed joints during exploration and development of gas and gas condensate fields. The necessary increase in volumes and intensification of hydrocarbon energy production is envisaged by the increase of drilling depth, construction of slopes and horizontal wells. Horizontal drilling and fracturing are used to produce shale gas. The efficiency and safety of the operation of oil and gas wells in complex mining and technical conditions depend on the quality and reliability of casing and pumping columns, which requires the modernization of machinery and technology for the installation of wells. The most technological for column fitting in the fisheries sector is threaded joints. However, breach of standard threaded connections causes 70% of all complications with pump housings and columns. This leads to significant material losses, reduced production of raw materials, contamination of the interior and the environment. Therefore, the urgent task is to improve the threaded joints by increasing their reliability and efficiency under heavy workloads.

Opis:
Mechanical properties of the pipeline samples that had been cut in annular and axial directions were investigated. The methodology of modeling and calculation of the real stress-strain state was described. The stable state during in the deformation process was defined. The results of the experimental researches were used as a test variant during examination of pipe strength.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań właściwości mechanicznych materiału z próbek wyciętych z rury bezszwowej na kierunku obwodowym i osiowym. Zaproponowano metodykę modelowania i szacowania stanu naprężenia i odkształcenia. Jest ona zgodna z metodologią stosowaną do analiz wytrzymałościowych cienkościennych cylindrycznych i sferycznych zbiorników poddanych ciśnieniu wewnętrznemu. W weryfikacji wyników wykorzystano wyniki badań doświadczalnych.

The article presents the results of reinforced concrete beams modeling under short-term loading with the use of the ANSYS Mechanical software. The obtained parameters were compared with the experimental ones. The comparison showed a satisfactory concordance of the parameters. In case of the discrepancies, the authors suggest that they are due to the idealization of material properties and structural model of the finite method. The paper is divided into the following chapters: Introduction, Literature Review, Research Significance, Element Types, Real Constants, Material Properties Modeling, Geometric Modeling, Loads and Boundary Conditions, Cracking and Failure and Conclusions. Each of the five conclusions in the last chapter offers a summary of the presented experimental research.

This paper presents the problems associated with the rapid change of the rock stress-strain state in terms of increasing the rate of coal mining. Parameters of the roof collapse are determined depending on the rate of a longwall advancing under conditions of poor rocks. Statistical data are processed to obtain a general trend concerning the mining rate impact on the roof collapse. The statistical strength theory is applied to explain the increase in mined-out space and the size of hanging roof behind a coal face. Numerical simulation is carried out to determine a critical size of mined-out space that provokes a roof collapse. The area of yielded rocks is outlined using the criterion developed taking into account the rate of longwall advancing. A general regularity is obtained to determine the roof collapse parameters. The developed technics gives a possibility to predict the moment of general roof collapse at the initial stage of longwalling to prevent the negative effect of the rapid stress redistribution provoking joints propagation and intensive gas release. The estimation of the rock stress-strain state considering the rate of mining operations can be useful for tasks related to a new technology implementation. The statistical strength theory and failure criterion applied together provides adequate planning of mining activities and the assessment of natural hazards.

In this paper, the strain state of fibres located along the helical line in an extended yarn has been investigated. The slippage and mutual displacement of fibres relative to the yarn for analysis of the strain state of fibres in extended yarn are investigated. It is proposed for expression compressive transverse stress G, in our notation, to use the equation supposed in this work. The stress strain of fibres in extended yarn is examined and a comparison of the stresses between the cross-sectional and longitudinal directions is carried out. It is found that an increase in the twist angle leads to an increase in the compressive transverse stress of fibres in the centre of the yarn. It is also noticed that the axial stress strain depends on the twist angle of the yarn. The results obtained using this relationship are similar to those presented in previous studies.
W pracy badano naprężenia włókien znajdujących się wzdłuż linii spiralnej rozciąganej przędzy. Badano ślizganie i wzajemne przesunięcie się włókien w stosunku do przędzy. W celu określenia poprzecznego naprężenia ściskającego G zaproponowano wykorzystanie równania wyszczególnionego w pracy. Badano naprężenia włókien w rozciąganej przędzy i porównano rozkład naprężeń w kierunku poprzecznym i wzdłużnym. Stwierdzono, że wzrost kąta skrętu prowadzi do wzrostu wartości poprzecznych naprężeń ściskających włókien w części centralnej przędzy. Ponadto zauważono, że wartości naprężeń osiowych włókien zależą od kąta skrętu przędzy. Wyniki uzyskane przy użyciu tych zależności są podobne do przedstawionych w poprzednich badaniach.

W pracy dokonano analizy wpływu zjawiska obciążenia temperaturą na procesy odkształcania i deformacji konstrukcji budowlanych. Jako przykład postawionej tezy przedstawiono analizę przyczyn awarii płyty górnej zbiornika na ciekłe medium, w której zidentyfikowano wady w postaci pęknięć wzdłuż kierunku zbrojenia głównego. Konstrukcja została zaprojektowana poprawnie przy uwzględnieniu działania obciążeń statycznych i dynamicznych. Nie uwzględniono wpływu obciążenia temperaturą, co przy wadach w projektowaniu zbrojenia rozdzielczego, skutkowało stanem degradacji konstrukcji. Podano koncepcję naprawy uszkodzonej płyty, zilustrowano proces realizacji wzmocnień. Uzasadniono tezę o możliwości wystąpienia wad konstrukcji w aspekcie pominięcia istotnego rodzaju obciążenia.
The authors analyze the impact of the phenomenon of temperature load on the building structure deformation processes. As an example, the failure of the top plate of the tank to the liquid medium was described. Defects such as cracks along the direction of the main reinforcement in the structural elements occurred. The structure was designed properly in terms of static and dynamic loads, but without taking into account the impact of temperature load. As a result of the analysis, errors in the design of distributive reinforcement are shown, with resulted in a state of the structure degradation. The concept of repairing a damaged tank plate is given. Authors present the course of reinforcement works. The staked thesis of the possibility of design defects or errors in terms of missed important type of load was confirmed.

Proces walcowania pielgrzymowego rur na zimno jest z powodzeniem wykorzystywany do produkcji wysokojakościowych rur z metali nieżelaznych i ich stopów. Zarówno klasyczne podejście, jak i nowa metoda walcowania pielgrzymowego rur z nieruchomą klatką, zapewniają wysoką jakość uzyskanych wyrobów, zarówno w aspekcie powierzchni rury, jak i włas-ności wytrzymałościowych. W niniejszej pracy zaprezentowano analizę nowego procesu pielgrzymowego z nieruchomą klatką walcowniczą, pod kątem możliwości zastosowania metody KOBO w walcowaniu pielgrzymowym rur. Badania pól odkształceń w stożku roboczym wykonywane były na rurach aluminiowych, z zastosowaniem oraz bez zastosowania gło-wicy ZSN wymuszającej dodatkowy moment skręcający w trakcie walcowania. Działanie głowicy wywołuje zmianę stanu naprężenia w chwilowej kotlinie walcowniczej. W oparciu o analizę stanu mechanicznego wg koncepcji Pełczyńskiego zbadano wpływ stanu naprężenia dla obu wariantów. Podjęto również próbę wyznaczenia odkształcalności granicznej. Przeprowadzone badania potwierdzają teoretyczną analizę stanu zagadnienia, stąd wykorzystanie metody KOBO w pro-cesie walcowania pielgrzymowego jest jak najbardziej uzasadnione.
Cold pilger rolling process is often used to producing of high quality tubes made from nonferrous metals and alloys. Both classical approach and new method of rolling with the stationary stand, ensures high quality of the product – tube surface, and mechanical properties. In this paper, analysis of the new concept with stationary stand and KOBO method was presented. Strain fields in deformation zone investigations were taken on aluminum tubes, both, with and without VSS head, which allows add additional torque moment during rolling. VSS head causes strain state modification in temporary rolling zone. Basis on mechanical states, due to Pelczynski concept, strain states was investigated on both variants. Maximum forma-bility calculation was also investigated in this work. Due to the results theoretical calculation were confirmed, so the KOBO method can be implemented in cold pilger rolling process.

The problem of gap estimation for a break of a continuous welded rail is studied. The track is represented as a semi-infinite rod on elastic-based damping. Static and dynamic solutions are obtained. It is shown that during the rail break, the dynamic factor does not exceed 1.5. We derive equations for thermal deformation of the welded rail of jointless track on an elastic foundation in the presence of the insert into the base with another characteristic stiffness. It is shown that the presence of the insertion of up to 20% of the length of the rail, with both large and small stiffness, has a little effect on the stress-strain state (SSS) of the track. The presence of a rigid insert may increase the clearance of an accidental break of the rail, which has a negative effect on traffic safety.

The paper reviews methods and trends of numerical modelling of geomechanical processes around underground mine excavations. The most rational method of determining the additional stresses caused by the mine excavations is chosen. Mathematical modelling was performed for excavations of various cross sections and different strength of rocks. The dimensions of the inelastic deformation zone around the mine excavations have been identified. The area of the total fracture zone around the excavation, as well as the area of the roof fracture zone are calculated. The results of the fracture zone modelling are presented both as coordinates and in a graphical form. To simplify application of the modelling results, dependency plots of the obtained parameters were created and analytical dependencies of the fracture zone parameters were identified. The SURFER and KOMPAS software packages were used as the graphic tools to visualize the modelling results.

W artykule podjęto próbę wstępnej oceny wpływu temperatury na stan naprężenia i odkształcenia w otoczeniu wyrobiska podziemnego na podstawie analizy zjawisk zachodzących w sąsiedztwie komory siłowni elektrowni "Porąbka-Żar". Wymienione zagadnienie ma szczególne znaczenie w odniesieniu do budowli wielkogabarytowej, z jaką mamy do czynienia w rozpatrywanym przypadku, dla której nawet niewielka zmiana temperatury może powodować duże wahania parametrów ważnych z punktu widzenia jej stateczności. Podstawą przeprowadzonej analizy były wyniki pomiarów realizowanych przez OBR BG "Budkop" w wymienionym wyrobisku. Przebiegi wybranych funkcji ciśnienia panującego w górotworze i jego rozwarstwień uzyskane z badań in situ powiązano zależnościami korelacyjnymi z temperaturą panującą w komorze. Zgodnie z przewidywaniami wynikającymi z teorii termosprężystości (w pracy zostały zawarte wyniki obliczeń przybliżonych), zaobserwowano istotny wpływ oddziaływania cieplnego na charakter zmian i wartości poszczególnych parametrów mierzonych.
In the paper preliminary estimation of the stress and strain state around the underground excavation under an influence of temperature is presented. Discussing problem is very important especially for the large chamber (e.g. chamber of the "Porąbka-Żar" power station is described) for which even small fluctuation of temperature can induce big changes of stresses, significant from a static point of view. The analysis presented in the paper is based on measurements that has been executed by Budokop in the excavation. The stress and delamination functions are got from measurements and temperature is taken in the chamber, are interconnected by correlation function. In accordance with expectations coming from the thermoelasticity theory (the paper includes results of approximate calculations), existence of the significant relationship between temperature field and parameters form measurements (i.e. stress and strain in the vicinity of the chamber) is found.

Forming analyzed and solved the problem of determining the stress-strain state of a cylindrical billet during rolling using simulation in the software package DEFORM 3D. Patterns of forming and distribution of the accumulated damages to the billet during deformation is received. A study of dangerous, in terms of damage accumulation, points billet is performed. For this it was constructed and analyzed the trajectory of deformation at these points of the billet.

To create a rational technology of cogging process and to determinate the optimal values of the angles of tilt and single reduction the stress-strain state (SSS) of the blank during cogging in the flat dies was analyzed. By using the finite element method and program MSC.SuperForge quantitative data are obtained and the basic patterns of distribution of SSS, the temperature during the simulation of tilting in flat dies with different angles of tilting and the amount of reduction were established. Sustainable experimental-industrial technology of forging of two-phase titanium alloys was developed and tested.

One of the main elements of control over wells in the process of their construction is the blowout equipment, which includes annular preventers. This also applies to wells that provide degassing of coal veins to reduce their gas dynamic activity. Modern technology of work requires expansion of the functionality of the sealing unit of the annular preventers with the simultaneous provision of its operational characteristics. Determining the necessary durability of seals for different operating modes is the study of their stress-strain state. The paper deals with the possibility of using simulation modeling in the annular preventers design situations and within the study of the armature geometry influence of the sealant fittings on its stress-strain state. The method of determining the material constants to realize the Mooney-Rivlin model has been proposed. The behavior of low-density rubber in software product has been described by the finite element method. The aggregation error of experimental and theoretical studies is 5%. Therefore, the preconditions and the possibility of using simulation modeling in the design of annular preventers devices with increased operational characteristics have been created and confirmed.

The drying and humidifying processes of capillary-porous (colloid) bodies occur during the production of various materials for the consumer goods industry, building materials, storage of museum pieces, etc. It is known that the main linkage forms of the moisture and colloid capillary-porous bodies (CCPBs), namely adsorption, capillary condensation and capillary linkage of the free moisture in the cavities of the above bodies, depend on the temperature and relative humidity of drying/humidifying agent. It means that the CCPBs behave in a peculiar way depending on the temperature and humidity fields. The problems of CCPBs drying (or humidifying) process include the issue of the heat and humidity transfer both in the middle of the body and in the boundary layer on the interface of phases “body (object of drying/humidifying process) – environment”. The drying/humidifying intensity is at its maximum when the possibilities of the heat and mass transfer in the boundary layer correspond to the possibilities of moisture and heat moving inside the object of drying/humidifying process. The properties of the CCPB as material possessing specific elastic-viscous properties are described within the framework of O.Y. Ishlinskiy - O.R. Rzhanitsin generalized elastic-viscous body theory. A comparative analysis of the above mentioned CCPB’s properties from the point of view of Zener thermodiffusion theory is conducted. The mechanism of moisture transferring from the CCPBs’ central layers (as object of drying/humidifying process) up to their surfaces is developed. The theoretical researches examined the drying/humidifying phenomena for both the entire volume of the CCPB and three structural directions. It is noted that drying/humidifying of CCPBs is a complicated heat and mass transfer process accompanied by mechanisms of molecular nature determining the kinetics of their running. It is shown that the appropriate equations’ solution of molecular-molar heat and moisture transfer under the appropriate boundary (limit) conditions allows to describe the fields, i.e. the distribution of transfer potentials (the temperature and moisture content in the CCPB as object of drying/humidifying) at any time of the appropriate process. The drying/humidifying curves (“drying/humidifying rate versus CCPB humidity”) and the temperature curves (“CCPB temperatures versus CCPB humidity”) reflect the nature of the drying/humidifying processes. In the framework of the proposed generalized rheological model of CCPB, the residual deformations of bodies for various load types (the time-varying stress applied to the CCPB) is estimated.

The paper presents a survey of available joints of the clamped type (CJ), which are of crucial importance in view of the design safety level. A numerical analysis has been carried out to estimate the efficiency of a given shape of the CJ. A digital database of material parameters most often employed in CJs has been presented as well.
W pracy dokonano przeglądu stosowanych złącz zaciskowych. Złącza mają istotny wpływ na poziom bezpieczeństwa całej konstrukcji. Przeprowadzono analizę numeryczną oceniającą efektywność stosowanych kształtów połączeń zaciskanych. Zaprezentowano cyfrową bazę danych parametrów materiałowych stosowanych do budowy złącz zaciskanych.

This work investigates the FEM simulation of stress and strain state of the selected trolley’s load-carrying structure with 450 tones hoisting capacity [1]. Computational loads were adopted as in standard PN-EN 13001-2. Model of trolley was built from several cooperating with each other (in contact) parts. The influence of model assumptions (simplification) in selected construction nodes to the value of maximum stress and strain with its area of occurrence was being analyzed. The aim of this study was to determine whether the simplification, which reduces the time required to prepare the model and perform calculations (e.g., rigid connection instead of contact) are substantially changing the characteristics of the model.
W pracy przeprowadzono badania symulacyjne MES stanu naprężenia i przemieszczenia wybranego ustroju nośnego wózka suwnicy o udźwigu 450 ton [1]. Obciążenia obliczeniowe przyjęto zgodnie z normą PN-EN 13001-2. Model wózka zbudowany był z kilku współpracujących ze sobą (kontaktujących się) części. Analizowano wpływ założeń (uproszczeń) modelowych w wybranych węzłach konstrukcyjnych na strefy występowania i wartości maksymalnych naprężeń oraz na przemieszczenia. Celem badań było ustalenie czy uproszczenia, które skracają czas przygotowania modelu i wykonania obliczeń (np. sztywne połączenie zamiast kontaktu) w istotny sposób zmieniają charakterystyki modelu.
