    Przedsiębiorstwa stale poszukują sposobów tworzenia przewagi konkurencyjnej. W procesie budowania tej przewagi ważną rolę odgrywa koncepcja logistyki. Logistyka jako koncepcja zarządzania przepływami, kształtująca modele biznesu, strategie i programy operacyjne, wykorzystuje szereg instrumentów, w tym projekty logistyczne. W zarządzaniu projektami logistycznymi istotne znaczenie ma efektywność tego zarządzania, związana z przepływami materiałów, towarów i informacji w tzw. cyklu życia projektu. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja przejawów oddziaływania koncepcji logistyki na efektywność zarządzania projektami logistycznymi. Artykuł ma charakter koncepcyjny. W pierwszej części przybliżono istotę i charakterystyki orientacji przepływowej, nawiązując do badań poświęconych logistycznym determinantom zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. W drugiej części artykułu przedstawiono podstawowe wyznaczniki koncepcji logistyki w kontekście relacji pomiędzy logistyką a systemem zarządzania, koncepcją zarządzania, procesami zarządczymi oraz instrumentami zarządzania. W trzeciej części artykułu zaprezentowano istotę i najważniejsze charakterystyki projektów logistycznych w świetle tzw. projektyzacji, a także nawiązano do przesłanek podejmowania badań poświęconych projektom logistycznym. W czwartej części artykułu przybliżono problematykę efektywności w zarządzaniu projektami logistycznymi, a także nawiązano do oddziaływania koncepcji logistyki na efektywność zarządzania tymi projektami.
    Firms are permanently looking for ways leading to the competitive advantage creation. The logistics concept plays a significant role in the process of building such an advantage. Logistics as a concept of flow management, forming business models, strategies and operational programs, uses a number of tools, including logistics projects. Within the management of logistics projects, the projects management performance, related to the flow of materials, goods and information in the project life cycle, plays a significant role. The aim of the article is to identify the symptoms of the logistics concept impact on the logistics projects management performance. The article is of a conceptual nature. The first part presents the essence and characteristics of the flow orientation, referring to the research on logistics determinants of business management. The second part of the article presents the basic characteristics of the logistics concept in the context of the relationships between logistics and the management system, the concept of management, management processes as well as management instruments. The third part of the article presents the nature and the most important characteristics of logistics projects, as well as the premises for undertaking research on these projects. The fourth part of the article presents the issues of the logistics projects management performance, as well as refers to the impact of the logistics concept on the logistics projects management performance.

    Rola logistyki w zarządzaniu stale rośnie. Podstawą kształtowania i rozwoju koncepcji logistyki jest orientacja na przepływy. Koncepcja ta coraz częściej jest postrzegana jako systemowa determinanta sukcesu i przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstwa, zajmująca istotne miejsce we współczesnym zarządzaniu strategicznym. W rozwoju koncepcji logistyki można wskazać pięć faz, umownie nazywanych kolejnymi koncepcjami logistyki: (1) logistyka jako funkcja operacyjnego zarządzania zadaniami i czynnościami logistycznymi, (2) logistyka jako funkcja strategicznego zarządzania procesami i potencjałami logistycznymi, (3) logistyka jako koncepcja przepływowo zorientowanego zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem, (4) logistyka jako koncepcja przepływowo zorientowanego zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw, (5) logistyka jako koncepcja przepływowo zorientowanego zarządzania siecią dostaw. Celem artykułu jest próba identyfikacji i oceny miejsca oraz roli koncepcji logistyki w zasobowym nurcie zarządzania strategicznego. W nurcie tym kluczowe znaczenie jest przypisywane tzw. potencjałom sukcesu przedsiębiorstwa, obejmującym zasoby, zdolności i kompetencje, które wpływają na osiąganie oczekiwanych efektów rynkowo-ekonomicznych przez przedsiębiorstwo, będących podstawą tworzenia jego przewagi konkurencyjnej.
    The role of logistics within business management is still growing. The basis for shaping and developing the logistics concept is the flow orientation. The logistics concept is more and more often perceived as a systemic factor affecting business success as well as firm competitive advantage. Such logistics concept occupies an important place in contemporary strategic management. Within the logistics concept development one may notice five stages (referred to as the consecutive logistics concepts): (1) logistics as a function of operational management of logistics tasks and activities, (2) logistics as a function of strategic management of logistics processes and potentials, (3) logistics as a concept of flow-oriented management within the firm, (4) logistics as a concept of flow-oriented management within the supply chain, (5) logistics as a concept of floworiented management within the supply network. The aim of the article is to identify and evaluate the place and role of logistics concept within the resource stream of strategic management. Within this stream, the key role is assigned to the so-called business success potentials, comprising resources, capabilities and competences, affecting the expected market and economic outcomes achievement by the firm, which are the basis for business competitive advantage creation.

    The success of business in the contemporary world depends upon many inter related aspects or reasons. One of such reasons or aspects of a successful business relationship is to have and maintain a high corporate image, which is strictly connected to organizational identity. Finding new ways of gaining competitive advantage in market, companies often tend to be environmentally friendly. For this, they have to take environmental protection policy and its logistics support (called reverse logistics) as a part of their organizational identity. This paper deals with the above-mentioned aspects. (JEL: D53, F18, L22, O13).
    Sukces w biznesie we współczesnym świecie zależy od wielu wzajemnie powiązanych zagadnień. Jednym z nich, pozwalającym na prowadzenie działalności z powodzeniem, jest posiadanie i utrzymanie wysokiego wizerunku firmy, który jest ściśle powiązany z tożsamością organizacji. Poszukując nowych sposobów zdobywania przewagi konkurencyjnej na rynku, firmy często kierują się w stronę bycia przyjaznymi dla środowiska. W tym celu muszą przyjąć politykę ochrony środowiska i jej wsparcie ze strony logistycznej (tzw. logistyka zwrotna) jako część ich tożsamości organizacyjnej. W niniejszym artykule prezentowane są wyżej wymienione aspekty.

    W ostatnich latach wśród instrumentów zarządzania przedsię-biorstwem zauważalny jest wzrost znaczenia instrumentów związanych ze sferą logistyki. Szczególną rolę pełni przede wszystkim koncepcja logistyki, która może stanowić istotną determinantę zmian w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań Katedry Logistyki i Marketingu Uniwersytetu Opolskiego przeprowadzonych w latach 2009-2011, w ramach projektu badawczego pt. „Logistyczne determinanty zarządzania przedsiębiorstwami”. Przedmiotem badań były m.in. kompetencje menedżerów ds. logistyki, związane z procesami i zadaniami realizowanymi przez tych menedżerów w przedsiębiorstwie, a także kompetencje logistyki związane z wdrażaniem koncepcji logistyki w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem.
    In recent years, within business management instruments one may notice the growing importance of instruments related to the area of logistics. A very special role is assigned to logistics concept, which may be an important determinant of changes in business management. The paper presents the results of the research project named “Logistics determinants of business management”, carried out from 2009 to 2011 by the Chair of Logistics and Marketing at Opole University, Poland. The subject of the study was, among others, competencies of logistics managers, related to the processes and tasks performed by these managers in the company, as well as logistics competences related to logistics concept implementation within business management.

    The article presents organizational concepts of crowd logistics solutions aimed at streamlining and optimizing the processes of passenger and cargo flows in urban areas. The analysis will cover the possibilities of adapting the crowd logistics solutions, the types of solutions, as well as the benefits resulting from their implementation, both for residents, entrepreneurs, tourists, and authorities. The author will review the experiences and solutions of the crowd logistics used in the world’s metropolises, and on this basis will determine which are likely to adapt in Polish cities. The main goal of the article is to analyse the possibilities of adapting the concept of crowd logistics in Polish conditions as a solution to improve city functioning and to identify barriers of implementing such solutions in Poland.
    W artykule zostały zaprezentowane koncepcje organizacyjne rozwiązań z zakresu crowd logistics, zmierzające do usprawnienia i zoptymalizowania procesów przepływów pasażerów i ładunków na obszarach miejskich. Analizie poddano możliwości zastosowania koncepcji crowd logistics, rodzaje rozwiązań, które w tym zakresie można stosować, a także korzyści wynikające z ich wdrażania, zarówno dla mieszkańców, przedsiębiorców, turystów, jak i władz. Autorka dokonała przeglądu doświadczeń oraz rozwiązań crowd logistics stosowanych w światowych metropoliach i na tej podstawie określiła, które z nich mają szanse adaptacji w polskich miastach. Głównymi celami artykułu były zatem: analiza możliwości zastosowania koncepcji crowd logistics w warunkach polskich, jako rozwiązania usprawniającego funkcjonowanie miasta, oraz wskazanie barier we wdrażaniu w Polsce tego typu rozwiązań.

    Rola logistyki postrzeganej jako koncepcja zarządzania przepływami towarów i informacji stale rośnie. W artykule nawiązano do ważniejszych aspektów i wyznaczników rozwoju koncepcji logistyki w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem badań prowadzonych w tym zakresie w Katedrze/Zakładzie Logistyki i Marketingu Uniwersytetu Opolskiego. W szczególności, uwzględniono następujące obszary i problemy badawcze: podstawowe fazy rozwoju koncepcji logistyki, relacje pomiędzy logistyką (koncepcją logistyki) a tworzeniem wartości dla klienta i dla przedsiębiorstwa, logistyczne determinanty zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem oraz kompetencje logistyki w tworzeniu przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstwa.
    The role of logistics perceived as a concept of goods and information flow management is constantly growing. From the perspective of the theoretical research, as well as from the perspective of the business solutions, logistics is more and more becoming a systemic determinant affecting business success and performance, as well as an instrument for sustainable, long-term business competitive advantage creation. The article refers to the most important aspects and characteristics of the logistics concept development within business management, with particular emphasis on the research carried out within this area in the Chair of Logistics and Marketing at Opole University, Poland. In particular, in this article the following areas and research problems were considered: (1) the most significant stages in logistics concept development, (2) the relationships between logistics (logistics concept) and the value creation for the customer and for the company, (3) logistics determinants of business management, and (4) logistics competences in business competitive advantage creation.

    Firms are constantly looking for the ways leading to business competitive advantage achieving and maintaining. The logistics concept plays an important role in building such an advantage. The formation and development of the logistics concept is influenced by various factors, among which market orientation plays a significant role. The aim of the article is to present the circumstances as well as the most important directions of the market orientation influence on the logistics concept formation and development. In particular, the article presents: (1) the nature as well as basic characteristics of market orientation, (2) basic determinants of market orientation, (3) market orientation of a firm compared to other business concepts expressing the firm approach to the market, (4) relationships between market orientation and marketing concept, (5) the most important methods of the market orientation measuring, as well as (6) the symptoms of the market orientation influence on the logistics concept formation and development.

    Logistics occupies an important place within two contemporary, influential streams of strategic management: (1) market-based strategic management and (2) resource-based strategic management. Logistics also significantly contributes to the development of business models which are based on the strategic logistics concept. The aim of the article is to identify the most significant relations occurring between logistics and strategic management. The article presents the nature of the logistics concept and its relations with business management, the brief characteristics of market- and resource-based strategic management streams, the most important relations between logistics and these streams, the logistics strategy and its place and role in strategic management, and finally the premises of the strategic logistics concept development as well as the role of the logistics concept in business model development. The article is an introduction to in-depth research planned in the nearest future.
    Logistyka zajmuje ważne miejsce w dwóch współczesnych, wiodących nurtach zarządzania strategicznego: (1) nurcie rynkowym oraz (2) nurcie zasobowym. W dużym stopniu przyczynia się ona również do rozwoju modeli biznesowych opartych na strategicznej koncepcji logistyki. Celem artykułu było zidentyfikowanie najistotniejszych relacji zachodzących między logistyką a zarządzaniem strategicznym. W artykule przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę koncepcji logistyki i jej związki z zarządzaniem przedsiębiorstwem, syntetyczny opis dwóch nurtów zarządzania strategicznego (rynkowego i zasobowego), najważniejsze relacje między logistyką a tymi nurtami zarządzania strategicznego, strategię logistyczną oraz jej miejsce i rolę w zarządzaniu strategicznym, a także przesłanki opracowania strategicznej koncepcji logistyki i jej roli w rozwoju modeli biznesu. Artykuł stanowi wprowadzenie do dalszych, pogłębionych badań zaplanowanych w najbliższej przyszłości.

    Wzrastająca rola logistyki jako koncepcji zarządzania przepływami towarów i informacji wiąże się z dążeniami do rozpoznania logistycznych determinant zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. W artykule nawiązano do badań przeprowadzonych w Katedrze Logistyki i Marketingu Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, w wyniku których zidentyfikowano następujące determinanty związane ze sferą logistyki, oddziałujące na zmiany w systemie zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem: 1) orientację przepływową, 2) kompetencje logistyki i łańcucha dostaw, 3) strategie logistyczne, 4) instrumenty zarządzania logistycznego, 5) planowanie logistyczne, 6) organizacyjne rozwiązania w sferze logistyki i zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw oraz 7) controlling logistyczny. Poza przybliżeniem istoty i podstawowych rodzajów tych determinant, w artykule nawiązano również pokrótce do zakresu oraz przejawów ich oddziaływania na zmiany w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem.
    The growing importance of logistics as a concept of goods and information flow management relates to the identification of logistics determinants of business management. The article presents the research results conducted by the Chair of Logistics and Marketing at Opole University, Poland. In particular, the following logistics determinants influencing business management system have been identified: 1) flow orientation, 2) logistics and supply chain competences, 3) logistics strategies, 4) logistics management tools, 5) logistics planning, 6) organizational solutions related to logistics and supply chain management and 7) logistics controlling. Apart from the nature and basic groups of these determinants, the article also presents the scope as well as the symptoms of logistics determinants influence on business management system.

    Logistics is the concept of materials, goods and information flow management, both within the firm, as well as the entire supply chain or even supply network. Nowadays, logistics is perceived as the determinant of achieving the expected market and economic outcomes by the firm, which are the symptoms of firm success and the basis for building a sustained, long-term competitive advantage. The article refers to the research conducted in recent years within the Chair of Logistics and Marketing at the University of Opole, Poland, including in particular research carried out by the Opole Logistics Research Team, concerning the relations between logistics and business management. Apart from the broad reference to the results of research carried out in the past, further directions of research on logistics and business management, planned in the near future, are also briefly presented in the article.
    Logistyka stanowi koncepcję zarządzania przepływami materiałów, towarów i informacji, zarówno w skali przedsiębiorstwa, jak i całego łańcucha, a nawet całej sieci dostaw. Współcześnie, logistyka jest postrzegana jako determinanta osiągania oczekiwanych efektów rynkowych i ekonomicznych przez przedsiębiorstwo, będących wyznacznikami jego sukcesu oraz podstawą budowania trwałej, długofalowej przewagi konkurencyjnej. W artykule nawiązano do badań prowadzonych w ostatnich latach w Zakładzie Logistyki i Marketingu Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, w tym w szczególności badań zrealizowanych przez Opole Logistics Research Team, związanych z relacjami występującymi pomiędzy logistyką a zarządzaniem przedsiębiorstwem. Poza szerokim odniesieniem się do wyników badań przeprowadzonych w przeszłości, w artykule przedstawiono również krótko dalsze kierunki badań dotyczących logistyki i zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem, planowanych w najbliższej przyszłości.

    W przedmiotowym artykule omówiono aspekty logistyczne procesu planowania w logistyce produkcji, fazy procesu, zadania, oraz metody i techniki stosowane w planowaniu koncepcji logistycznej. Wykazano, że rożne fazy planowania mają specyficzne potrzeby informacyjne wyrażone celowo dobranymi wskaźnikami logistycznymi. Podkreślono, że zbiór wskaźników powinien spełniać wymagania dotyczące informacji użytecznej. Zastosowanie wybranych wskaźników logistycznych wspomagających planowanie produkcji pozwala na zidentyfikowanie słabych miejsc oraz na przeprowadzenie analizy szans w procesie produkcji . Artykuł zakończono podsumowaniem.
    The article discusses logistic aspects of the planning process in production logistics, process phase, tasks, and methods and techniques used in planning the logistic concept. It has been shown that the various planning phases have specific information needs expressed through deliberately selected logistics indicators. The set of indicators should meet the requirements for useful information. Analysis of logistic indicators supporting production planning allows identification of weak spots and analysis of opportunities. The article is concluded with a summary.

    Przedsiębiorstwa stale poszukują sposobów tworzenia przewagi konkurencyjnej. W procesie budowania tej przewagi ważną rolę pełni koncepcja logistyki. Ewolucja tej koncepcji wskazuje na coraz częstsze orientowanie się przedsiębiorstw na rozwój łańcuchów dostaw, w których procesy logistyczne mają kluczowe znaczenie. Jednym z rodzajów łańcuchów dostaw, które zasługują na szczególną uwagę, są krótkie łańcuchy dostaw, odgrywające istotną rolę w sektorze rolno-spożywczym. To właśnie w tym sektorze szybkie dotarcie produktu do ostatecznego klienta dzięki krótkiemu łańcuchowi jest często kwestią najważniejszą. Z jednej strony bowiem zapewnia zaspokojenie potrzeb i oczekiwań klientów w odniesieniu do określonych produktów, z drugiej natomiast umożliwia osiąganie wymiernych korzyści przez producentów i dostawców tych produktów. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja przesłanek i przejawów oddziaływania koncepcji logistyki na rozwój krótkich łańcuchów dostaw w sektorze rolno-spożywczym. Artykuł ma charakter koncepcyjny. Na początku przybliżono istotę logistyki postrzeganej jako koncepcja zarządzania przepływami towarów i informacji, a także przedstawiono fazy jej rozwoju. Następnie zaprezentowano istotę i znaczenie krótkich łańcuchów dostaw, mając na uwadze najważniejsze charakterystyki sektora rolno-spożywczego. Ostatnia część została poświęcona przesłankom i przejawom oddziaływania koncepcji logistyki na rozwój krótkich łańcuchów dostaw.
    Firms are permanently looking for ways leading to the competitive advantage creation. The concept of logistics plays an important role in the process of building such an advantage. The evolution of the logistics concept shows that firms are increasingly focused on the supply chains formation and development, including the key importance of the logistics processes in supply chain. One of the types of supply chains that deserve the special attention are the short supply chains, playing a significant role in the agri-food sector. It is in this sector that the fast time of product delivery to the end customer is often of the utmost importance. It ensures that the needs and expectations of customers are met. It also enables tangible benefits to be achieved by producers and suppliers. The aim of the article is to identify the most important premises and symptoms of the logistics concept impact on the development of short supply chains in the agri-food sector. The article is of a conceptual nature. Firstly, the nature of logistics as the concept of the goods and information flow management, as well as the logistics concept development were presented. Then the article presents the essence and significance of the short supply chains, bearing in mind the most important characteristics of the agri-food sector. The last part of the article comprises premises and symptoms of the logistics concept impact on the short supply chains development.

    The article concerns the identification of the contemporary logistics identity as well as the development of the theoretical logistics concepts towards the scientific discipline. The discussion about logistics evolution and logistics scientific paradigm emergence has been presented from a perspective of logistics ideas/concepts and tools progress, as well as cornerstones/fundamentals recently defined in the literature as a scientific and academic discipline. Logistics scientific paradigm is perceived as a set of problems and facts concerning flow orientation and flow system within the world of economic and management issues as the internal elements of logistics area identity.

    W artykule podkreślono, że w warunkach nasilającej się konkurencji przedsiębiorstwa zmuszone są do poszukiwania nowych dróg budowania swojej przewagi rynkowej. Zmiany zachodzące w otoczeniu konkurencyjnym (globalizacja, kompleksowość produktów i usług, ukierunkowanie działalności na klienta) spowodowały wzrost zainteresowania logistycznymi koncepcjami zintegrowanego zarządzania jako elementem wzmacniania pozycji konkurencyjnej, a tym samym osiągnięcia celów strategicznych przedsiębiorstwa. Zdaniem autora, decydujące znaczenie w osiągnięciu sukcesu rynkowego ma logistyka, która obecnie poprzez zarządzanie kanałowe (Channel Management), zwane także zarządzaniem łańcuchem dostaw, stała się instrumentem koordynującym przepływy w przedsiębiorstwie, od pozyskania surowca do finalnego klienta.
    The article stresses that in the situation of increasing competition companies are forced to look for the new ways of building their competitive advantages. The changes undergoing in the competitive environment (globalisation, complexity of products and services, customer-oriented activities) have resulted in increased interest in logistic concepts of integrated management as the element of strengthening the competitive position, and thus reaching the strategic goals of the company. The article points out that logistics has a decisive meaning for solving the discussed problems and achieving market success. At the beginning logistics occupied only a fragmentary portion of companies' activities to develop presently, by Channel Management, also called supply chain management, into the instrument coordinating the flows in an enterprise─from obtaining the raw materials to the final customer.

Struktura i dynamika koncepcji zarządzania efektywnością logistyki przedstawiona została w postaci modelu współzależności między procesami zarządzania a podsystemami/komponentami efektywności logistyki.
    The article presents an attempt to the identification of the nature as well as structure and dynamics of logistics performance concept, taking into consideration the contemporary premises of modelling and structurization of performance concept in the managerial context. In particular, a subjects of reaserch is an attempt identification of assumptions and fundamentals of Logistics Performance Management concept, based on the interpretation of the nature and evolution as well as mutual between Performance Measurement and Performance Management concepts, perceived as the concepts of the systemic assessment and strategic formation of performance (optimization of the inputs and their transformation into outputs/outcomes). The structure and dynamic of logistics performance management concept has been presented as interrelations model between managing processes and logistics performance subsystems/komponents.

    The concept of logistics management has been functioning in literature of the subject and economic practice for numerous years, and it has developed research methods related to other disciplines of knowledge. The realities of current global economy force the enterprises to consider the sustainable development concept as well. This concept, by assuming sustainability in implementation of economic, social and environmental objectives, exerts impact on the management strategy of contemporary enterprises. This also results from the advancing globalization and the increasing scale of production along with negative phenomena that emerge in the environment and economy, i.e. environmental degradation and depletion of resources. Hence, the sustainable development concept may be sought first of all in strategies adopted by manufacturing enterprises, the operations of which are based on technological processes, distribution and sales, as well as post-sale services and the possibility to manage the final products or reuse of the materials.

Z drugiej strony systemy dystrybucji dóbr, w których uczestniczą przedsiębiorstwa wymagają ciągłej integracji z uwagi na optymalizację kosztów. Podstawy koncepcji społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu, w której kładzie się nacisk na niewielkie zużycie energii na korzyść czystej produkcji, niwelowanie emisji zanieczyszczeń podczas produkcji, magazynowania i transportu, mogą przekładać się na obniżanie kosztów, a tym samym poprawę pozycji konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstwa. Celem artykułu jest analiza zjawiska koincydencji koncepcji CSR w procesie reorganizacji łańcuchów logistycznych.
    Enterprises are beginning to promote ecological logistics seeing such an action a chance to build a good relationship with the client. Additionally the system of product distribution, in which company participates trying to fund a solution to better suplly chain integration. It is necessary to optimization costs. Fundamentals of corporate social responsibility concept, in which the focus is on low energy consumption in favor of clean production, eliminating emissions during production, storage and transport which reduce of costs incurred by the producer, improving the company's competitive position and build long lasting relationship with customers. The purpose of this article is analysis of the situation coincidence CSR concept in the reorganization supply chain process.

    The article presents the issues covering the transformation of logistics within the currently developed concept of Industry 4.0. In this approach, a research problem arises which determines which parameters and characteristics of logistic processes are most important from the point of view of the idea of Industry 4.0. In addition, mutual relationships between these parameters should be established. In the article, multi-criteria analysis was used to assess these characteristics. The article can be useful for people interested in modern solutions in the production and logistics industry.

The aim of the article is to present the most important characteristics of the World Class Logistics Excellence concept developed by Capgemini, which is the basis for building a sustained, long-term competitive advantage. Capgemini research played an important role in the best practices and programs development concerning contemporary supply chains management. Apart from logistics excellence concept presentation, the aim of the article is also to present the results of the research conducted by the Chair of Logistics and Marketing at University of Opole, Poland, concerning the identification of the logistics determinants of business and supply chains management, which comprise – among others – business success potentials affecting the sustained, long-term competitive advantage creation.

    Obecnie w wielu przedsiębiorstwach postrzega się Lean Logistics jako nową dziedzinę logistyki, wdrażaną w celu bardziej skutecznej redukcji kosztów. W rzeczywistości etiologia Lean Management, jak i nowoczesnej logistyki jest tożsama. Wywodzą się one z opracowanych w latach 50. przez K. Toyodę i T. Ohno założeń TPS (Toyota Production System), który ewoluował następnie do postaci Kaizen. Zarówno TPS, jak i Kaizen dotyczą organizacji zarządzania przepływem materiałów oraz logistyki i stanowią nie tylko spójną filozofię, lecz również zespół technik optymalizujących ten przepływ.
    Both modern logistics and philosophy of Kaizen and Lean Management have common roots - Toyota Production System. Despite the common roots of their evolution during the last 60th year ran slightly different ways. Logistics has focused primarily on the business environment, Lean Management and Kazien on optimizing flows within company. Research, presented in this article, are the tools used to diagnose Kazien and Lean Management in Polish enterprises and the answer to the question whether the use of these tools would improve the functioning of logistics in the company.

    Procesy podejmowania decyzji dla celów planowania infrastruktury kompatybilnej ze środowiskiem naturalnym są niezwykle złożone, podobnie jak same procesy logistyczne. Koncepcje lokalizacji miejskich centrów logistycznych zostały porównane ze strefami ekologicznego zagrożenia w Polsce. Wyodrębniono w ten sposób obszary o wysokim stopniu degradacji środowiska naturalnego szczególnie niekorzystne z punktu widzenia lokalizacji nowych centrów logistycznych. Decyzję o lokalizacji planowanego przedsięwzięcia należy podjąć na podstawie opracowanej wcześniej, specjalnej procedury dotyczącej oceny realizacji inwestycji i jej wpływu na środowisko naturalne. Celem opracowania jest wskazanie na infrastrukturę miejskich centrów logistycznych jako na jeden z niezbędnych i najbardziej efektywnych czynników determinujących zrównoważony rozwój. Z reguły infrastrukturę można tworzyć na dwa sposoby. Pierwszy nakazuje budować przedsiębiorstwo, a później jego infrastrukturę, drugi zaś zaleca podejście odwrotne. Z punktu widzenia infrastruktury zrównoważonego rozwoju właściwe wydaje się podejście drugie, pozwalające na skuteczną realizację strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Pierwsze podejście może jedynie doprowadzić do spadku znaczenia pojęcia zrównoważonego rozwoju w mentalności i świadomości społecznej (Ratajczak, 2000). Różnorodność podejść w literaturze przedmiotu definiujących pojęcie infrastruktury zrównoważonego rozwoju obejmuje zarówno obszar ekonomii, społeczeństwa i środowiska. Istotnym z punktu widzenia przyszłych pokoleń wydaje się być aspekt środowiskowy dotyczący tworzenia miejskich centrów logistycznych w dobie zrównoważonego rozwoju. Jedną z zasadniczych właściwości środowiska naturalnego jest równowaga, która zachodzi, gdy odpływ i dopływ energii i materii w przyrodzie są zrównoważone. Środowisko naturalne znajduje się w ciągłej interakcji z człowiekiem, aby nie dopuścić do jego gradacji podejmowane są działania zmierzające do zapobiegania wyrządzeniu szkód fizycznemu otoczeniu lub zasobom naturalnym, prowadzone są także czynności zmierzające do zmniejszenia ryzyka wystąpienia strat, bądź zachęcające do efektywnego wykorzystywania zasobów naturalnych, w tym środki służące oszczędzaniu energii i stosowania odnawialnych źródeł energii (Tokarski, 2020).
    The decision-making processes for planning an environmentally compatible infrastructure are extremely complex, as are the logistics processes themselves. The concepts for the location of urban logistics centres have been compared with the ecological danger zones in Poland. In this way, areas with a high degree of environmental degradation, particularly unfavourable from the point of view of the location of new logistics centres, were identified. The decision on the location of the planned project should be based on a previously developed, special procedure for assessing investment implementation and its impact on the natural environment. The study aims to indicate the infrastructure of city logistics centres as one of the necessary and most effective factors determining sustainable development. As a rule, infrastructure can be created in two ways. The first one recommends building the enterprise and then its infrastructure, while the second one recommends the opposite approach. From the point of view of the infrastructure of sustainable development, the second approach seems appropriate, allowing for the effective implementation of the sustainable development strategy. The first approach may only lead to a decline in the meaning of sustainable development in mentality and social awareness (Ratajczak, 2000). The variety of approaches in the literature on the subject defining the concept of sustainable development infrastructure covers both the area of economy, society and the environment. Significant from the point of view of future generations seems to be the environmental aspect related to the creation of urban logistics centres in the era of sustainable development. One of the essential properties of the natural environment is equilibrium, which occurs when the outflow and supply of energy and matter in nature are balanced. The natural environment is in constant interaction with humans; to prevent its gradation, measures are taken to prevent damage to the physical environment or natural resources. There are also activities to reduce the risk of losses or encourage the efficient use of natural resources, including measures to save energy and use renewable energy sources (Tokarski, 2020).

W artykule podjęto tematykę zrównoważonego rozwoju w logistyce miejskiej w ujęciu przemieszczania ludzi. Celem artykułu jest analiza wykorzystania w aglomeracjach autobusów i aut osobowych pod kątem środka napędu (ekologiczne i tradycyjne formy transportu). Analiza została przeprowadzona w rozbiciu na poszczególne powiaty. Ograniczono ją do Polski, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem województwa lubuskiego. Artykuł został oparty na analizie literatury przedmiotu oraz o danych statystycznych.
    Proper balance of all factors in the economy is crucial for further development, as well as the future of society and living conditions. Hence, it seems important to properly manage the factors, as well as the exploitation of the environment. One of the solutions is responsible taking action in the field of city logistics. Only appropriate management in line with sustainable development can give the society good living conditions in the agglomeration, as well as further development of the economy through incoming investors. The article deals with the topic of sustainable development in urban logistics in terms of the movement of people. The aim of the article is to analyze the use of buses and passenger cars in agglomerations in terms of the means of propulsion (ecological and traditional forms of transport). The analysis was carried out by poviat. It was limited to Poland, with particular emphasis on the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The article was based on an analysis of the literature on the subject and on statistical data.

Na podstawie wcześniejszych prac została opracowana i przedstawiona w artykule koncepcja obsługi ścisłego centrum Krakowa przy wykorzystaniu zintegrowanego systemu tramwajowo-rowerowego. Praca została podsumowana wnioskami i planem dalszych badań.
    The article discusses the topic of hybrid system of supplies to historical city centres with the use of ecological means of transport: bicycles and trams. The paper presents the current problems of urban logistics in historical urban areas on the example of the city of Krakow. On the basis of previous works, a concept of servicing the strict city centre of Krakow with the use of an integrated tram and bicycle system was developed and presented in the article. The work was summarized with conclusions and a plan of further research.

    This article presents the author’s concept of Lean Management in logistics. After discussing the ideas of Lean Management and Lean Logistics, was proposed a set of tools to improve the quality and efficiency of processes in logistics, especially in distribution. These considerations was supported by an analysis of the results of use of the proposed tools in practice in a C-L trading company. The article also highlights the need to integrate Lean solutions with modern ERP systems in logistics.

    Liczba ludności w miastach na świecie rośnie o prawie 60 mln rocznie. Szacuje się, że do 2050 r. 2/3 ludności świata będzie mieszkać w miastach. Nadmierna urbanizacja i rosnąca liczba ludności w miastach stanowią poważne wyzwanie dla zarządzania miastem, a w szczególności dla logistyki miejskiej. Dziedzina ta, sprowadzająca się do koordynacji i synchronizacji przepływów na obszarach zurbanizowanych, zyskuje na znaczeniu w ujęciu strategicznym. Działania prowadzone w miastach europejskich, mające na celu usprawnienie logistyki miejskiej, postrzegane są jako element programu na rzecz inteligentnych miast (smart cities). Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie koncepcji smart city oraz jej znaczenia w kontekście logistycznego zarządzania miastem. Następnie, poprzez case study, zaprezentowanie przykładów rozwiązań z zakresu smart city stosowanych w miastach europejskich. Na bazie rozwiązań europejskich w artykule przeanalizowane zostaną możliwości czterech miast polskich w zakresie adaptowania rozwiązań smart city na swoich obszarach. Przedstawione w artykule wnioski sformułowano na podstawie dwóch faz badawczych – analityczneji syntetycznej. Pierwsza zawiera przegląd literatury oraz analizę przypadków rozwiązań smart city pochodzących z miast europejskich. Wykorzystano w niej dane z dokumentów strategicznych Komisji Europejskiej. Na podstawie obserwacji dobrych praktyk w ramach rozwiązań smart cities stosowanych w miastach europejskich przeprowadzono badania metodą wywiadów pogłębionych z zarządzającymi polskimi miastami, odnosząc się do potencjalnych rozwiązań smart city możliwych do zastosowania w czterech polskich miastach.W fazie syntetycznej badań na bazie analiz teoretycznych oraz case study wyciągnięto wnioski końcowe.  
    The number of urban residents is growing by nearly 60 million people every year. It is estimated that by the year 2050 2/3 of the world population will have been urban. The increasing urbanisation requires new and innovative ways to manage the complexity of urban living and to target problems of energy consumption, resource management and environmental protection. These problems are essential for city logistics. The field concerning coordination and synchronization of the flows within the urban areas is gaining strategic importance. Activities in European cities that are going to improve city logistics are included as a part for the smart city idea. Scope: At the beginning, this paper will introduce the background of the smart city concept, as well as its meaning in the logistics-related aspects of city management. Then, through the case study, it will present solutions that make European cities smart. Moreover, using the background of the significance of the concept of a smart city and its applications in the European reality, the author will analyze the possibilitiesof four Polish cities (Rzeszow, Gdansk, Cracow and Bialystok – recognised as the smartest Polish cities) for approaching the smart city concept standards in the European dimension. Methodology: The methodology of the paper is based on two dimensions: analysis and synthesis. The first phase included a thorough thematic literature review, an analysis of case studies of European and Polish smartcities. It was complemented by interviewing city board representatives of the examined Polish cities. In the synthetic phase, the study provided conclusions based on the theoretical analysis and the survey of the case study.

    The paper presents a concept of a logistics centre model. The model is based on defined output/input flows of goods. Therefore it is possible to determine and estimate the load of elements of the centre infrastructure being at the disposal of individual service providers operating within the centre. Input and output flows are defined on the basis of the balance of flows directed to the centre from the whole logistics and transport network and are considered split into: product groups, types of transport, various transport forms of cargo. The seasonal nature of these flows has been taken into consideration. The calculations of infrastructure load assume that every service provider operating within the centre can also use elements of infrastructure owned by other centre users. The proposed model can serve various purposes. An emphasis is put herein on the possibility of estimating the degree of the transport and logistics infrastructure load of the centre on the basis of historical data as well as on the basis of forecasts. As a result, the needs related to the access to the infrastructure can be specified and used to determine and verify investment plans.
    W referacie przedstawiono koncepcję modelu centrum logistycznego, pozwalającego - w oparciu o zdefiniowane dane o strumieniach wejścia i wyjścia - na określenie i ocenę stopnia obciążenia elementów infrastruktury centrum, będącej w dyspozycji poszczególnych usługodawców działających na jego terenie. Strumienie wejścia i wyjścia są definiowane na podstawie bilansu strumieni kierowanych do centrum z całej sieci logistyczno- transportowej i są rozpatrywane w podziale na: grupy towarowe, rodzaje transportu, różne postaci transportowe ładunków. Uwzględniona została sezonowość tych strumieni. W obliczeniach obciążeń infrastruktury przyjęto możliwość wykorzystywania przez każdego z usługodawców działających na terenie centrum także elementów infrastruktury należących do innych użytkowników centrum. Zaproponowany model może służyć różnym celom. W niniejszym artykule położono nacisk na możliwość szacowania stopnia obciążenia infrastruktury transportowo- logistycznej centrum, na podstawie danych historycznych, ale także w oparciu o prognozy. Pozwoli to na określenie potrzeb związanych z dostępem do infrastruktury i może zostać wykorzystane do ustalania i weryfikacji planów inwestycyjnych.

    Współczesne trendy w logistyce skupiają się na efektywniejszym wykorzystaniu zasobów, eliminacji marnotrawstw oraz zachowaniu wysokiej elastyczności dla zwinnej odpowiedzi na zapotrzebowania klientów. Równolegle rozwijane są narzędzia komputerowego wspierania procesów logistycznych. Wydaje się zatem, że logistyka jest gotowa na przyjęcie założeń czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej definiowanej od 2011 roku jako Industry 4.0 za sprawą rządu Niemiec. Przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjne, dostosowując swoje procesy do zmiennych warunków rynkowych, często wdrażają wybrane koncepcje lean lub agile czy też realizują transformację zgodnie z wymaganiami zyskującej na popularności koncepcji Industry 4.0. Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie problemowe: czy współczesne trendy w logistyce pokrywają się z założeniami Industry 4.0? W drugiej kolejności autorzy pytają czy zmiany zachodzące w środowiskach produkcyjnych znajdą odzwierciedlenie w procesach logistycznych? W ramach pracy autorzy dokonują subiektywnej oceny trendów realizowanych przez współczesne przedsiębiorstwa i określają na podstawie analizy literaturowej wyzwania, z którymi będą się one musiały zmierzyć w najbliższych latach.
    Current trends in logistics focus on increase in efficient usage of resources, eliminating losses within process and maintaining high flexibility to nimbly answer clients’ needs. Simultaneously other tools are being developed like computer aided software for supporitng logistics processes. It seems that modern logistics is ready to answer needs which come out of fourth industrial revolution which is defined since 2011 as Industry 4.0 according to German government. Production companies, while adjusting to changing market conditions, very often implement different conecpts like lean or agile. Sometimes they try to transform according to Industry 4.0 concept’s requirements. The main target of the paper is to answer the question: are current trends in logistics are concurring Industry 4.0 assumptions? What is more authors ask about following changes in production environment and their reflection in logistcs’ processes. Within the paper authors prepared subjective evaluation of current trends in modern companies and described, on the basis of literature review, challenges which will have to be faced by these companies in following years.

W artykule wskazano kompleksowe spojrzenie na rozwiązania logistyki wojskowej, uwzględniające uwarunkowania Prawa zamówień publicznych, które wspomaga integracje wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne w procesie zaopatrzenia.
    The main purpose of the article is to indicate the basic conditioning of the military procurement logistic system, during an armed operations and in peace time. Effective military procurement logistics system allows gaining a tactical advantage over the enemy and ensuring the safety of civilians remaining behind the line of fighting. The article is indicated in comprehensive approach to military logistics, including public procurement law, which supports internal and external integration within the supply process.

    The concept of green logistics meets the expectations of various groups of stakeholders who, being aware of the negative impact of logistics processes on the natural environment, encourage enterprises to start implementing environmentally friendly solutions, thus ensuring the economic efficiency of these processes. The implementation of green solutions takes place in four stages and their advancement increases at each stage. The highest stages require cooperation with other enterprises. The article deals with the subject of undertaking this kind of cooperation by small and medium-sized enterprises in a supply chain. The aim is to identify which chain participants most often establish cooperation in the area of green logistics with these companies in Poland. It was found that the most intense cooperation takes place with a supply chain leader and suppliers. At the highest level of advancement a horizontal cooperation with competitors is also established.
    Koncepcja zielonej logistyki wychodzi naprzeciw oczekiwaniom różnych grup interesariuszy, którzy mając świadomość negatywnego wpływu procesów logistycznych na środowisko naturalne, oddziałują na przedsiębiorstwa tak, aby zaczęły one wdrażać rozwiązania przyjazne środowisku, zapewniając jednak efektywność ekonomiczną tych procesów Wdrażanie zielonych rozwiązań następuje w czterech etapach, na każdym z nich rośnie stopień ich zaawansowania. Etapy najwyższe wymagają podjęcia współpracy z innymi przedsiębiorstwami. W artykule poruszono tematykę podejmowania takiej współpracy przez małe i średnie przedsiębiorstwa w łańcuchu dostaw. Celem było rozpoznanie, z którymi uczestnikami łańcucha przedsiębiorstwa te najczęściej nawiązują współpracę w zakresie zielonej logistyki w Polsce. Ustalono, że najintensywniejsza współpraca zachodzi z liderem łańcucha oraz z dostawcami, a na najwyższym stopniu zaawansowania nawiązywana jest także współpraca horyzontalna z konkurentami.

    Logistics platforms represent a modern approach aimed towards fostering and facilitating logistics activities and business exchange with associated flows in a specific geographic area. Though a widespread buzzword in political and business circles the logistics platform still lacks a clear definition and thorough understanding of the concept in its entirety. We examined the understanding of that term among various types of organizations in Slovenia and Poland. Cross-sectional and inter-state research was conducted in Slovenia and Poland. Web-based survey responses from four different types of organisation were obtained, namely: logistics companies; production or service non-logistics companies; branch association/state agency/chamber interest groups; educational institutions. This paper seeks to raise awareness of the implementation complexity of this particular inter-organisational concept, namely logistics platforms. From a practitioner viewpoint, knowing that different stakeholder groups could have differing perceptions of the concept’s content is important.

    The aim of the article is to present a concept related to the improvement of the logistics process at the company, by the modernization of the main railway siding of the terminal. The paper present the reasons for the decision that was once made in order to obtain the expected advantages after the modernization. The comparison of the incurred expenses and the profits that might be gained in the future allows us to state that the decision about the modernization was the right one. The decision about the modernization also referred to a trend towards an increase in cargo handling operations, which could be observed at the company at that time. The decision about modernization was made when the terminal operated using its full capacities of the railway siding. Therefore, the modernization was necessary in order to meet expectations expressed by the current and potential customers who might appear in the future.

Nieustannie podejmowanie są działania zmierzające do usprawniania funkcjonowania łańcuchów dostaw. W artykule na kanwie uwarunkowań otoczenia, oczekiwań klientów i podejmowanych wobec łańcuchów dostaw działań o charakterze wewnętrznym autor przedstawia kierunki rozwoju łańcuchów dostaw. Tematyka usprawnienia funkcjonowania łańcuchów dostaw została osadzona w kontekście koncepcji H. Lee i J. Gattorny. Rozważania zakończono przedstawieniem problematyki łańcucha dostaw w praktyce biznesowej handlu detalicznego.
    Due to trade development, dynamic changes in customers preferences and network economy, thematic of supply chain is being emphasized. Constantly actions are undertaken to increase the efficiency of the supply chains. On basis of environment determinants, customers expectations as well as actions of internal nature, the author presented supply chain development directions. Issue concerning the improvement of supply chains functioning was embedded in H. Lee and J. Gattorna context. Considerations are complemented by presentation of supply chain problematic aspects in regard to business practice of retail trade.

    Corporate social responsibility is a complex concept, where ecology is one of the key elements. From the point of view of logistics, care for the environment and respect for non-renewable resources is a particularly important issue. The essence of logistics is the movement of people and cargo, that is possible only by using a certain amount of energy. Companies operating in this sector, by definition cannot, therefore, be neutral with respect to the environment. They can, however, minimize the ecological footprint. In practice, it turns out that the involvement of businesses in this area is varied. The aim of the article is to assess ecological facet of logistics companies’ activity and their differentiation in this area according to their specialization. Statistical analysis of selected environmental aspects shows a weak ecological score of logistics companies compared to other industries. What is more, ecological score of logistics businesses is varied between specialization groups. In overall, the leading group of companies is transportation infrastructure which reached the highest average score. The only sector which significantly lags behind the others is road and rail. It turns out that the most problematic ecological aspects for assessed companies are: reduction of hazardous waste and air emissions other than GHG, and environmental requirements in relation to suppliers.
    Społeczna odpowiedzialność to złożona koncepcja, której jednym z głównych elementów jest ekologia. Z punktu widzenia logistyki troska o środowisko i surowce naturalne jest szczególnie istotnym zagadnieniem. Jej istotę stanowi bowiem przemieszczanie osób oraz ładunków, co możliwe jest wyłącznie poprzez wykorzystanie określonej ilości energii. Przedsiębiorstwa działające w sektorze logistyki nie mogą więc być neutralne wobec środowiska. Mogą one natomiast minimalizować swój ekologiczny ślad. W praktyce okazuje się, że zaangażowanie podmiotów w tego typu inicjatywy jest zróżnicowane. Celem artykułu jest zbadanie ekologicznego wymiaru działalności przedsiębiorstw logistycznych oraz ich zróżnicowania w tym zakresie z uwzględnieniem profilu działalności. Analiza statystyczna wybranych aspektów środowiskowych ukazała relatywnie niskie wartości wskaźników ekologicznych przedsiębiorstw logistycznych w porównaniu do innych branż. Co więcej, wyniki przez nie osiągane okazały się być zróżnicowane między poszczególnymi branżami. Najbardziej ekologiczne okazały się być podmioty działające w zakresie infrastruktury transportowej. Grupą o wyraźnie najniższych wynikach był sektor transportu drogowego i kolejowego. Najwięcej problemów badanym przedsiębiorstwom sprawiły: redukcja odpadów niebezpiecznych i emisji gazów innych niż cieplarniane oraz stawianie wymogów środowiskowych dostawcom.

    The convergence of logistics megatrends, including transformations in logistics models, the growing influence of modern, innovative and intelligent technologies, the use of ICT technology and global competition (e-trade and e-purchasing development, mobile services expansion) have led to a new concept known as the “Intelligent Enterprise”. This concept is a relatively young field in modern business management. As physical assets are given a digital voice, the Intelligent Enterprise allows businesses to run operations more efficiently and make better decisions with improved real-time visibility. Achieving greater enterprise asset intelligence offers businesses a sense of what is happening in their operations, provides them with a way to quickly analyse the information and gives them a platform to act on it to reach higher levels of growth, productivity and service. The aim of the paper is to describe of the concept of an Intelligent Enterprise and provide the specification of its characteristics. The objective is to be achieved through analysing the author's surveys results carried out in 2018. The studies were conducted on a group of 80 people – managers in manufacturing companies responsible for supply chains management.

    The global economy is undergoing faster and faster transformations. Certainly, logistics be-longs to one of the most rapidly changing areas, including supply chain management. A mo-dern and perspective supply chain is becoming more and more integrated, works under time pressure and carries out tasks on ever greater distances so that the delivery was made in ac-cordance with the expectations of the customer. To achieve the goal, it uses the latest tech-nology advances and the latest technologies. The knowledge of the latest and prospective concepts and solutions and their correct implementation to support activities within the sup-ply chain becomes one of the essential elements of gaining success in current and future market conditions. The ability to see contemporary needs as well as conditions for imple-mentation of logistic activities, building organizational culture focused on innovativeness, changes in how to approach and resolve problems essential for the functioning of supply cha-in creates the prospect of achieving a market success on a much broader basis than just using the experience of the know-how of the competition. The essential challenges facing not only supply chain but the whole logistics are: reconfiguration, integration and optimisation of whole logistics network, changes in the location of its components, transport planning in terms of tactical and operational levels, and inventory management. The reorganisation of the logistics and the supply chain is connected with a concept of "value chain", which was created in recent years, and which accounts for a strategic set of instruments to achieve competitive advantage. This article is devoted to all those problems, the abilities to see them in present and future challenges and use them to build modern supply chain, adequate for current needs and requirements.
    Gospodarka światowa przechodzi coraz szybsze przemiany. Z pewnością jednym z obszarów, w których dokonują się najbardziej dynamiczne zmiany jest logistyka oraz zarządzanie łańcu-chem dostaw. Nowoczesny i perspektywiczny łańcuch dostaw charakteryzuje się coraz więk-szym stopniem zintegrowania, funkcjonowania pod presją czasu i realizowania zadań na co-raz większe odległości, tak aby dostawa była wykonane zgodnie z oczekiwaniami klienta. Zna-jomość najnowszych, ale również potencjalnych rozwiązań w prawidłowej realizacji działań w ramach łańcucha dostaw staje się jednym z najbardziej istotnych elementów osiągania sukce-su w obecnych i przyszłych warunkach rynkowych. Możliwość przewidywania potrzeb, jak również warunki realizacji działań logistycznych, budowanie kultury organizacyjnej koncen-trującej się na innowacyjności oraz zmianach w sposobie podejścia i rozwiązywania kluczo-wych problemów dla funkcjonowania łańcucha dostaw stwarza perspektywę osiągnięcia suk-cesu rynkowego w znacznie szerszym aspekcie. Zasadnicze wyzwania nie stoją tylko przed samym łańcuchem dostaw, ale przed całą logistyką: rekonfiguracją, integracją i optymalizacją całej sieci logistycznej, zmianami w lokalizacji elementów systemu, planowaniem transportu pod względem taktycznym i operacyjnym oraz zarządzaniem zapasami. Reorganizacja logisty-ki i łańcucha dostaw są związane z pojęciem "łańcucha wartości", który powstał w ostatnich latach, i których stanowi strategiczny zestaw instrumentów do osiągnięcia przewagi konku-rencyjnej. Niniejszy artykuł jest poświęcony wszystkim tym problemom, możliwością dostrze-żenia ich w kontekście obecnych i przyszłych wyzwaniach oraz wykorzystania do budowy no-woczesnego łańcucha dostaw dostosowanego do aktualnych potrzeb i wymagań.

    The innovation and practicality of SCM solutions has been used in the construction industry relatively recently. Companies and construction companies have recognized the concept of supply chain management as a way to reduce costs, improve production quality, shorten project execution time and increase scheduling flexibility. Construction Supply Chain (CSC) refers to the whole project. The links in this chain are the suppliers and recipients of raw materials, materials, machines and equipment, people (workers), money and technical documentation, as well as many different information and intangible assets that are necessary for the execution of works and structures. Well planned and developed logistics concepts and logistics management solutions provide the opportunity for efficient project execution and cost reduction related to logistics as well as total project cost. An important element in increasing the efficiency of the project is the proper coordination of the logistics processes of all its stakeholders at every stage of the investment cycle. High risk of construction investment, mortgage crisis and high customer demand - this is the real estate market nowadays. Looking for solutions, on the one hand minimizing the costs of contractors, on the other hand it is important to maintain the high quality of the product. Can CSCM be the answer to the current state of affairs?

Najpierw dokonano analizy działalności wybranych centrów logistycznych w Polsce. Następnie przeprowadzono analizę terytorialnego systemu zabezpieczenia logistycznego funkcjonującego w naszych Siłach Zbrojnych na przykładzie Regionalnych Baz Logistycznych oraz Wojskowych Oddziałów Gospodarczych. W części końcowej przeprowadzono analizę i ocenę możliwych form wykorzystania centrów logistycznych w tym systemie. Otrzymane wyniki badań potwierdzają słuszność i trafność podjętych badań.
    The aim of this article was to propose the concept of using the potential of logistic centers in the military territorial logistics security system. First, an analysis of the operations of selected logistics centers in Poland was carried out. Then, the analysis of the territorial logistics security system functioning in our Armed Forces was carried out on the example of Regional Logistic Databases and Military Economic Branches. In the final part, analysis and evaluation of possible forms of using logistic centers in this system were carried out. The obtained results confirm the validity and accuracy of the conducted tests.

These are: people, resources, innovation and ideas, marketing, operations and strategic plans, finance, environment and regulations. They can then be compared with the cities, which are benchmarks in a specific area.

    The dynamic changes in the global economy has caused the rapid growth of transport needs. Outsourcing and off-shoring has increased the distance between the particular places where the production process is provided. Therefore, logistics has become more macro-scale than before. Maritime traffic is therefore the main transport mode served a global movements of goods. Such companies like Maersk, NYK or Hanjin are today a global transport players offering a wide scope of service. Proper functioning of maritime transport needs also a good developed system of seaports. Effectiveness and efficiency of global transport is depend on seaports infrastructure, equipment, staff and management. So, seaports has become a critical element of supply chains concept. In the following analysis, the relation between the main requirements of supply chain management (SCM) and contemporary practice of seaports management are investigated. The type of port management systems and its operation model will reflect on the possibility of implementation of SCM. In the last part of presented elaboration main pros and cons of particular solutions of port management are defined and indicated.

    Industrial companies are linked with affiliated firms, suppliers and customers through the supply chains. Such chains operate within large-scale networks directly related to distribution and warehousing. In order to meet the market demands and customer new expectations, the various components of the supply chains have to be developed i.a. through implementation of the innovative vehicles, green and blue technologies. Moreover, modernization processes of transport and logistics system need to be resistant to crucial mistakes related to innovative solutions implementation in order to exclude domino effect occurrence. The authors attempt to build topology-based approach to the modernization of transport and logistics systems. It is assumed that each innovation application is the independent element-based coalition, possessing linked object structure. The results of multi-year researches demonstrate the offered approach as a useful tool to analyze innovative changes for obsolete transport and logistics system as hybrid structure. The ways of system structure transformation, as well as possible innovative effects are considered. The preliminary results have been obtained for compositions on meso-level for the case of marine propulsion modernisation. The paper is illustrated by various examples.

    Introduction/background: The article presents a literature analysis related to the concept of distribution network configuration. The main determinants of network configuration and their impact on key solutions used in networks are also indicated. As a key solution related to the correct management of demand, including forecasting, the author considered centralisation in networks. The article also presents the results of research carried out on 5 distribution networks, in which the correlations between the elements of their configuration and the results of forecasts made using the tool previously created by the author are examined. Aim of the paper: The purpose of the article is to present the concept of distribution network configuration in the conditions of centralised demand forecasts, with the central unit at the level of logistics operator. In addition, the article will consider the hypothesis regarding whether the configuration of the distribution network affects the accuracy of forecasts. Materials and methods: The purpose of the article and verification of the hypothesis was carried out with the help of literature studies, results of the conducted case study, and on the basis of the results of forecasts obtained using the prognostic tool created by the author in the R environment. Results and conclusions: The article demonstrates the basic ability of a logistics operator, working in MDP in the distribution network, to make forecasts and analyse the distribution network. In addition to that, the article presents results indicating that a properly selected configuration of the distribution network has a positive effect on the accuracy of forecasts contained in it.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie idei koncepcji smart city oraz planów rozwoju z zakresu ekonomii współdzielenia w miastach.
    The development of engineering technologies and the increase of planning possibilities contributed to the development of modern urban agglomerations. In the fight against the chronic phenomenon of construction, combining air generated by transport or the dominance of individual motorization and other urban functions, the often-used concept is the Smart City concept. A number of solutions in the field of individual mobility used for cities where they are divided into different forms of transport, e.g. car, bicycle or scooter, is one of the challenges of urban agglomeration means of transport. The purpose of the article is to present the idea of the Smart City concept and to develop the development in the field of sharing economy in cities.

    Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja czynników wpływających na realizację projektów Green Logistics oraz zakresu działań podejmowanych przez podmioty gospodarcze na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju potencjału logistycznego przedsiębiorstw w Polsce. W opracowaniu podjęto dyskusję na temat strategicznej roli biznesu na rzecz angażowania się w realizację celów z zakresu zrównoważonego rozwoju procesów logistycznych. Stanowi ona rezultat międzynarodowych konwencji i wynikających z nich obowiązków nałożonych na państwo i przedsiębiorstwa. Na podstawie studiów literaturowych oraz analizy danych zastanych zidentyfikowano pięć zasadniczych kategorii czynników determinujących rozwój projektów Green Logistics. W ramach tych obszarów wyłoniono konkretne działania istotne z punktu widzenia przedsiębiorców, które poddano ocenie w wyniku przeprowadzonego pogłębionego wywiadu kwestionariuszowego. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na kluczową dla rozwoju zielonej logistyki potrzebę wdrażania rozwiązań technologicznych. Podkreślono, że zielona logistyka może stanowić ważny element zrównoważenia gospodarki światowej.
    The aim of the article is to assess the essential factors determining the implementation of Green Logistics projects for the sustainable development of the logistics potential of Polish enterprises. The article discusses the strategic role of business in achieving goals in the field of sustainable development of logistics processes. It is the result of international conventions and the obligations imposed on the state and enterprises arising from these conventions. Based on literature studies and analysis of existing data, five basic categories of factors determining the development of Green Logistics projects were identified. Within these areas, specific actions were identified as important for entrepreneurs. They were then assessed as a result of an in‑depth questionnaire interview. Special attention was paid to the need for implementing technological solutions, which is crucial for the development of Green Logistics. It was emphasised that Green Logistics can be an important element of the global economic balance.

    Employer Branding to stosunkowo nowa koncepcja, która ewoluuje zgodnie z potrzebami przedsiębiorstw w odniesieniu do zmieniających się wyzwań rynkowych. W artykule przedstawiono zmianę w postrzeganiu znaczenia marki pracodawcy: od procesu rekrutacji po konieczność pozyskiwania talentów przez firmy działające w ramach dynamicznych łańcuchów dostaw. Zaprezentowano model atrakcyjności pracodawcy oraz wykorzystywane narzędzia w komunikacji z obecnymi, a przede wszystkim potencjalnymi pracownikami. Zastosowanie koncepcji Employer Branding ukazano na przykładzie wybranych liderów branży usług logistycznych. Analizie poddano zarówno wykorzystywane przez nich narzędzia oraz sposób komunikacji, jak i formułowane komunikaty do obecnych i przyszłych kadr.
    Employer Branding is a relatively new concept, which evolves according to the needs of companies and with respect to changing market challenges. The article presents the change in the perception of the importance of employer brand: from recruitment to the need to attract talent by companies operating within the dynamic supply chains Consequently, the model of attractivess of employer have been presented, as well as tools which are used to communicate with employees. The application of the Employer Branding concept is demonstrated at the example of selected logistics service companies.

    Rozważania zamieszczone w artykule wpisują się w koncepcję on-demand economy, której podstawą jest unikanie własności i współdzielenie zasobów na zasadzie dóbr puli wspólnej, a dotyczą mobilności realizowanej na terenie miasta i jego aglomeracji. W tym przypadku unikanie własności dotyczy pojazdu i miejsca postojowego. Artykuł zawiera przykładową kalkulację kosztów posiadania samochodu wobec kosztów mobilności realizowanej za pomocą zbiorowego transportu publicznego oraz sporadycznie wypożyczanego pojazdu na zasadach komercyjnych. Wyniki tej kalkulacji skłoniły do poszukania możliwych alternatywnych scenariuszy mobilności z uwzględnieniem usługi krótkoterminowego wynajmu pojazdu. Zostały one omówione, jak również określone zostały szanse ich realizacji w najbliższych latach na podstawie obserwacji działań różnych podmiotów w tym zakresie. To skłoniło autora do zaproponowania koncepcji abonamentu mobilności, który dawałby możliwość swobodnego poruszania się po mieście w myśl unikania własności i zrównoważonego rozwoju miasta.
    Considerations included in this paper are part of the concept of on-demand economy, which is based on the avoidance of ownership and sharing resources on a common pool of assets. They relate to urban area mobility that includes the city itself and its agglomeration. In this case, the avoidance of ownership relates to the vehicle and the parking space. The paper contains a sample calculation of the cost of owning a car to the cost of mobility realized by means of collective public transport and a vehicle occasionally rented on the commercial basis. The results of this calculation prompted the author to look for possible alternative scenarios of mobility services, including short-term vehicle rental. They have been discussed and accordingly, the chances of their implementation in the coming years, based on the observation of activities of different actors in the field, have been determined. Consequently this enabled the author to propose the concept of mobility subscription, which would offer the opportunity to move freely around the city and its outskirts with simultaneous avoidance of ownership and keeping in mind sustainable development of the city.

    Purpose: This publication focuses on issues related to logistics management. The aim of this publication is to show the possibility of creating a logistics center within logistic networks. Design/methodology/approach: This publication uses a conceptual method based on observations, sales forecasts and distance analysis of logistics centers. Findings: The analysis of the collected and presented data as part of the concept of creating a logistics center Lviv-Rzeszów shows that such an action is justified, in particular in economic terms. The study shows that the optimization of processes as part of the implementation of the concept would allow for many benefits for the economy and regional development, as well as for the transport and logistics industry itself. Research Limitation/implication: During the study, there were limitations related to obtaining empirical data. The most important implication of the study is the statement that the planned investment will bring significant benefits to entrepreneurs and other market stakeholders. Originality/Value of paper: The publication showed the possibilities of using the new logistics center Lviv-Rzeszów and its impact regional and business development.

    To the modern philosophy of logistic processes improvement belongs concept of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) that was mostly developed in aircraft industry and other branches of production, and also at exploitation of Complicated Technical Systems (CTS). ILS originates from Computer Aided Acquisition and Logistic Support (CALS) initiative and it has importance of continual acquisition and products life cycle (LC) support in the present time. The main tool of ILS is Logistic Support Analysis (LSA). LSA utilizes synergetic effect of technical disciplines that use uniform special data base (DB LSA), with aim to shorten duration of technological processes, starting from research, continuing to project proposal, production, up to maintenance and complex Life Cycle Support (LCS) of CTS. In the aircraft engineering it enables to project and plan production and logistic support in real time, higher competitiveness, reengineering of company processes at research, production and working of high-tech products. Control and establishment of flexible global logistic networks, with their huge communication and coordination needs, makes assumptions of their future intensive development.

    W ostatnich latach zauważalne jest stale postępujące i coraz bardziej wyraziste „osadzenie” problematyki logistyki i zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw w zasobowym nurcie zarządzania strategicznego. W nurcie tym podkreśla się kluczowe znaczenie potencjałów sukcesu, obejmujących m.in. zdolności, w tym tzw. dynamiczne zdolności, w budowaniu oraz wzmacnianiu długookresowej konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw i łańcuchów dostaw. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wykorzystania koncepcji dynamicznych zdolności, obejmujących również zdolności związane ze sferą logistyki, w budowaniu konkurencyjności łańcucha dostaw. W szczególności zaprezentowano tu istotę konkurencyjności i jej podstawowe wyznaczniki, pojęcie zdolności, istotę i podstawowe wyznaczniki koncepcji dynamicznych zdolności, a także możliwości wykorzystania dynamicznych zdolności związanych ze sferą logistyki w budowaniu konkurencyjności łańcucha dostaw.
    In recent years one may notice the growing “embedding” of logistics and supply chain management in the resource stream of strategic management. Within this stream the key importance in building and strengthening long-term competitiveness of enterprises and supply chains is assigned to potentials of success including, among others, the so-called dynamic capabilities. The aim of the study is to present the possibilities of using the concept of dynamic capabilities, including logistics capabilities, in building the competitiveness of the supply chain. The study presents the nature of competitiveness and its basic characteristics, the term “capabilities”, the nature and basic characteristics of dynamic capabilities concept, as well as the possibilities of using dynamic capabilities related to the logistics area in building the competitiveness of the supply chain.

    The objective of this article is to present an innovative concept of modular reconfigurable trolleys for multifloor manufacturing that increases the efficiency of the production processes, transport and logistics. The characteristics of the original concept of modular load units for reconfigurable trolleys are presented, with their technical and technological description and assembly. This article culminates with the synthetic analysis of the effectiveness of the proposed solution. The applications contain a description of the possibilities of further implementation and development of the technology under investigation.

    Article presents an overview of some recent developments in the area of mathematical modelling of technical systems’ maintenance decisions with the use of delay-time concept. Thus, the literature overview from 1984-2012 in the analysed research area is given. The problem of time relations occurred in logistic systems performance processes is investigated. Later, the example of DT model implementation in the area of logistic system of sixteen forklifts performance analysis is investigated.
    W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z matematycznym modelowaniem utrzymania systemów technicznych w stanie zdatności z wykorzystaniem koncepcji opóźnień czasowych (DT). Przedstawiono przegląd literatury z badanego obszaru obejmujący okres 1984-2012. Następnie został omówiony problem relacji czasowych w systemach logistycznych. W ostatnim punkcie, został przedstawiony przykład zastosowania modelu DT do oceny niezawodności szesnastu wózków widłowych funkcjonujących w wybranym systemie.

    Modern cities are social and economic organisations whose objective is to cater for the needs of its users. The practices they employ in doing so are, however, a far cry from those used by businesses. A city would subject its economics to social and environmental conditions and thus elects the social objectives as prevalent. Urban logistics ties in perfectly with that, subscribing to social logistics each time when those objectives are achieved by shaping flows of materials and people. Logistics comes to the fore here, by facilitating deployment of correct, from viewpoint of shaping material flows, measures aimed at equal opportunities for elderly and disabled. Specific requirements, with which urban spaces should be compliant to honour the needs of seniors and disabled, were described in the paper.

    Over the last twenty years, there has been a deep change in the energy consumption of freight transport and the economics of logistics and the supply chain. Increasing competition forced supply chain networks to reconsider and restructure their business models in order to increase their sustainability and, consequently, reduce fuel consumption. Companies have turned to optimization models in order to find the best possible supply chain network configuration. This paper presents an overview of the current global energy consumption of the transport sector, in particular the road freight transport sector, and a review of literature on facility location models. Additionally, this paper proposes a conceptual basis for the formulation of a mixed-integer linear programming model that can be applied for the verification of warehouse locations in a supply chain network. The concept of the proposed model is formulated in a way that will lead to cost savings. The model will serve as a decision-support tool for distribution network optimization. The proposed concept includes in its objective function warehousing costs and transportation costs.
    W ciągu ostatnich dwudziestu lat doszło do istotnych zmian w zużyciu energii w sektorze transportu towarowego oraz w ekonomice procesów logistycznych i łańcucha dostaw. Rosnąca konkurencja wymusiła restrukturyzację oraz wzrost efektywności modeli biznesowych ukierunkowanych na zrównoważony rozwój, co w konsekwencji prowadzi do zmniejszenia zużycia paliw. Przedsiębiorstwa zwracają coraz większą uwagę na modele optymalizacyjne, pozwalające na wypracowanie najlepszych konfiguracji sieci łańcucha dostaw. W artykule przedstawiono analizę aktualnego zużycia energii w sektorze transportowym, w szczególności w sektorze drogowego transportu towarowego oraz dokonano przeglądu literatury w obszarze modeli optymalizujących lokalizację obiektów (np. magazynów). Ponadto, w artykule zaproponowano koncepcję sformułowania modelu matematycznego wykorzystującego podejście programowania mieszanego całkowitoliczbowego liniowego, który będzie mógł być zastosowany do opracowania i weryfikacji lokalizacjach magazynów. Model ten umożliwi redukcję kosztów prowadzenia działalności w obszarze gospodarki magazynowej. Będzie on służyć jako narzędzie wspomagania decyzji dla optymalizacji sieci dystrybucji. W funkcji celu przedmiotowego modelu uwzględnione zostaną koszty magazynowania oraz koszty transportu.

Przedstawiono przegląd literatury z badanego obszaru obejmujący okres 1984-2012. Następnie został omówiony algorytm postępowania w procesie implementacji koncepcji opóźnień czasowych w obszarze utrzymania w stanie zdatności systemów logistycznych. W ostatnim punkcie, został przedstawiony przykład zastosowania opracowanej metodyki do oceny niezawodności i oczekiwanych kosztów obsługiwania dziesięciu wózków widłowych funkcjonujących w wybranym systemie.

    Logistic support of local government units in Poland is a one of subject that, in the area of logistics considerations, occupies an even more important place. On the one hand, the question is whether logistics in LGU should be considered as an element of effective management and, on the other hand, logistic activities should be considered in terms of support. The differences in consistency and scope of logistic activities (and logistical support) at different levels of LGU have been assumed to be the basic issue. The reflections were based on theoretical assumptions about the possibilities of using logistic processes and actions in the functioning of local government units. The article has a theoretical character. The logistic paradigm has attempted to define integrated logistical support for local government units. Using the method of secondary analysis of documents and the deduction technique, the possibility of proposing the concept of vertical integration of logistic support measures in local government units was proposed. To this end, the scope of logistic support for territorial self-government units has been characterized, taking into account the voivodship, poviat and commune levels. Identification and discussion of the concept of integrated logistic support of the territorial self-government units has been identified and implemented thus realizing the purpose of the article aiming at identifying possibilities of integration of logistic support measures as a contribution to the economic and social development of Poland’s regions.
    Wsparcie logistyczne jednostek samorządu terytorialnego w Polsce stanowi temat, który w zakresie rozważań o logistyce zajmuje coraz ważniejsze miejsce. Z jednej strony poszukuje się odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy logistyka w JST rozpatrywana powinna być jako element skutecznego zarządzania, a z drugiej strony czy działania logistyczne należy jednak rozpatrywać w kategoriach wsparcia. Za podstawowy problem przyjęto różnice w spójności i zakresie działań logistycznych (i wsparcia logistycznego) na różnych szczeblach JST. Rozważania oparto na teoretycznych przesłankach możliwości wykorzystania procesów i działań logistycznych w funkcjonowaniu JST. Artykuł ma charakter teoriopoznawczy. Na kanwie paradygmatu logistyki dokonano próby zdefiniowania zintegrowanego wsparcia logistycznego JST. Wykorzystując metodę analizy wtórnej dokumentów źródłowych oraz technikę dedukcji, przyjęto możliwość zaproponowania koncepcji pionowej integracji działań wsparcia logistycznego w JST. W tym celu scharakteryzowano zakres wsparcia logistycznego dla JST z uwzględnieniem szczebli: wojewódzkiego, powiatowego i gminnego. Zidentyfikowano i omówiono przesłanki koncepcji zintegrowanego wsparcia logistycznego JST, realizując w ten sposób cel artykułu dążący do identyfikacji możliwości integracji działań wsparcia logistycznego jako przyczynku do rozwoju gospodarczego i społecznego regionów Polski.

    Introduction/background: The article is devoted to the possibility of "last mile" deliveries by electric cars with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons. Aim of the paper: The aim of this article is to determine whether, with the technology currently available from electric car manufacturers, it is possible to use these vehicles for "last mile" deliveries. Materials and methods: The article contains a literature study of industry publications and the most important legal acts in European Union and in Poland. At the same time, the available issues in the field of “last mile” deliveries and the currently available technology of electric cars were analyzed. Results and conclusions: As a result of research based on the adopted assumptions for the implementation of "last mile" deliveries and the technical parameters of the currently available electric vans, the article presents a newly developed simplified algorithm showing the relationships between the time and number of unloading in relation to the length of the delivery routes. At the same time showing that the currently available technology of electric cars allows for the implementation of this process with their use.

To płaszczyzna sprzężenia i połączenia logistyki i innowacji społecznych, dzięki której uzyskiwane mogą być zwielokrotnione korzyści dla każdego uczestnika życia publicznego – władze miasta, mieszkańcy, przedsiębiorcy. Inteligentne rozwiązania w zakresie zarządzania ruchem miejskim, parkingami, systemami energetycznymi, oświetlenia ulic, dystrybucji ciepła to jedne z wielu przykładów konceptu smart w zrównoważonej strategii rozwoju miasta.
    The sustainable of logistic tools in the process of creating the city's transport policy is a universal and usually common tool. In the article, it was decided to analyze and evaluate the application of the smart concept in creating the transport policy on the example of a medium-sized city. This is due to the necessity to integrate the inhabitants of the agglomeration as an important link in its functioning. It creates a unique model of city management. It is a platform for coupling and connecting logistics and social innovation, which caused multiplied benefits can be obtained for every participant in public life - city authorities, habitants, entrepreneurs. Intelligent solutions in the field of urban traffic management, parking areas, energy systems, street lighting, heat distribution are one of the many examples of the smart concept in a sustainable city development strategy.

    Przeprowadzono prace badawcze, rozwojowe i programistyczne dotyczące opracowania koncepcji narzędzia informatycznego, służącego do identyfikacji i analizy kosztów logistyki w przedsiębiorstwach rolnych w ujęciu procesualnym. W wyniku tych prac stworzono ogólną koncepcję funkcjonalno-informatyczną oprogramowania, przeznaczonego do identyfikacji i analizy kosztów logistyki dla przedsiębiorstw rolnych.
    The study comprised research, development and computer programming works concerning the development of a concept for the IT tool to be used in the identifica-tion and analysis of logistics costs in agricultural enterprises in terms of the process-based approach. As a result of research and programming work an overall functional and IT concept of software was developed for the identification and analysis of logistics costs for agricultural enterprises.

    Koncepcja społecznej odpowiedzialności zyskuje coraz większą popularność wśród polskich firm. W ciągu ostatnich kilku lat do grona firm deklarujących zainteresowanie CSR i gotowość do wypełnienia jej założeń dołączyli usługodawcy z sektora TSL. Podkreślają swoje zaangażowanie w działania CSR poprzez wywiady, reklamy lub strony internetowe. Koncepcja społecznej odpowiedzialności zakłada szereg działań w trzech obszarach: ekonomicznym, społecznym i środowiskowym. W artykule przedstawiono rozważania na temat społecznych praktyk realizowanych przez dostawców usług logistycznych, a także oceniono ich zaangażowanie w kontekście osiągania celów społecznych.
    Nowadays, the idea of social responsibility gains significant popularity among Polish companies. During last few years logistics service providers also joined the group of businesses declaring their interest in CSR and willingness to fulfill its assumptions. They emphasize their engagement in CSR activities through interviews, commercials or websites. However the social responsibility concept implies range of activities in three areas: economics, social and environmental, both in specialist literature and practitioners' declarations the last mentioned area seems to be dominative. In spite of this rather common tendency authors of this paper make effort to highlight social aspects of CSR. In particular, the main aim of this paper is to present results of researches made by authors covering socially oriented practices realized by logistics service providers as well as assessment of those providers' engagement in the achievement of CSR social goals. To attain this aim the results of quantitative analysis are presented and social practices of chosen logistics service providers are stated.

    Opis:
    Current model of organization of supply chains results in inefficient use of transport resources, high transport costs, increasing congestions and CO2 emission. This effect has been demonstrated by research conducted by the authors as well as by the European Environmental Agency. This situation can be change by development of alternative business model for collaboration in organisation of the transport processes within the supply chains. The aim of this paper is to present practical implementation of the T-Scale platform that enables collaboration between independent transport users and transport service providers. Moreover, an overview of existing communication platform with its major functionalities are presented. The work is summarized by the major benefits of collaboration achieved by the group of companies operating in the FMCG sector in Poland.
    Obecne modele organizacji łańcuchów dostaw wykorzystują zasoby transportowe w sposób nieefektywny, co skutkuje wysokimi kosztami transportu, rosnącą kongestią oraz wzrostem emisji CO2. Potwierdzają to badania prowadzone przez autorów, a także przez Europejską Agencję Ochrony Środowiska. Opisane w pracy problem mogą być wyeliminowane poprzez wprowadzenie w firmach nowego modelu wspólnej organizacji procesów transportowych w łańcuchach dostaw. Celem tej pracy jest przedstawienie wyników z praktycznego wdrożenia platformy T-Scale, która umożliwia współpracę niezależnych użytkowników transportu i dostawców usług transportowych w oparciu innowacyjny model biznesowy. Dodatkowo w pracy zaprezentowano przegląd istniejących platform komunikacyjnych wraz z ich głównymi funkcjonalnościami. Prace podsumowują wyniki wdrożenia rozwiązania w grupie firm z branży FMCG działającej w Polsce.

    Opis:
    The subject of the study focuses on the implementation of the concept of internalization of external transport costs in the EU based on the SMCP formula. The research objective is to assess the expected effects this may cause with regard to sustainable mobility standards as well as transport and logistics supply chains operations. These effects are defined in the form of improving their efficiency and effectiveness. Qualitative research methods are principally used. The research results indicate that it will enhance the standards of driving sustainable mobility as well as transport and logistics macro-systems towards rationalization in terms of optimizing transport and inventory costs.
    Przedmiotem badań jest implementacja koncepcji internalizacji kosztów zewnętrznych transportu UE w formule PSKK. Celem badań jest dokonanie analizy i oceny oczekiwanych efektów jej wdrożenia postrzeganych w aspekcie budowy zrównoważonej mobilności oraz sprawności i efektywności realizacji procesów transportowych i logistycznych w łańcuchu dostaw. Oprócz analizy zastosowano głównie jakościowe metody badań. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że w efekcie bezpośrednia internalizacja spowoduje zmiany w układzie modal shift, wprowadzając wyższy standard zrównoważenia systemów transportu, racjonalizując je, a także makrosystemy logistyczne krajów UE w kategoriach optymalizacji kosztów transportu i magazynowania.

    Artykuł poświęcono wybranym aspektom wzajemnego przenikania się teorii marketingu oraz ważniejszych dziedzin teorii zarządzania. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na koncepcję zarządzania marketingowego, problematykę dopasowywania jakości produktu do wymagań klienta (Quality Function Deployment), ideę marketingu wewnętrznego oraz kwestie logistyki marketingowej.
    Marketing concept integrates different operating activities of a firm, also these ones whose development has been up to now autonomous, e.g. operating management. There are fields where this tendency is particularly visible like the strategic management, quality management, logistics in a company or human resources management. In order to clear these issues the authors presented the marketing management concept, the problems of the product quality and the clients demands matching (the Quality Function Deployment method which is a means of "translation" of information coming from the clients to a technical language used in as company by designers, technologists and constructors). They also present the idea of internal marketing called as well personal marketing and selected matters connected with the marketing logistics.

    This paper comments on a recent ruling concerning the choice of law to the individual employment contract according to the Rome I Regulation. In the judgement in the joined cases C–152/20 and C–218/20 (DG, EH v. SC Gruber Logistics SRL and Sindicatul Lucrătorilor din Transporturi, TD v. SC Samidani Trans SRL), the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) provided the interpretation of Article 8 of the Rome I Regulation on two issues. At first, the EU Court was asked about the freedom of choice of law applicable to the individual employment contract if (a) national law required the inclusion of a clause into that contract under which the contractual provisions are supplemented by national law and (b) the contractual clause concerning that choice was drafted by the employer. The second issue was connected with the concept of the employee’s protection, under which the choice of law may not have the result of depriving the employee of the protection afforded to him (her) by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement, under the law that would have been applicable to the contract in the absence of choice. Regarding the first question, the CJEU admitted that the parties to an individual employment contract dispose of freedom to choose the law applicable to that contract, even if the contractual provisions are supplemented by national labour law under a (relevant) national provision, if “the national provision in question does not require the parties to choose national law as the law applicable to that contract”. Secondly, the Court found that the parties to an individual employment contract were “to be regarded as being, in principle, free to choose the law applicable to that contract, even if the contractual clause concerning that choice is drafted by the employer”. Therefore, the CJEU confirmed the application of the rules concerning the choice of law resulting from Article 3 of the Rome I Regulation to the individual employment contracts. Referring to the second issue of the commented ruling, the CJEU confirmed that Article 8 (1) of the Rome I Regulation must be interpreted as meaning that, where the parties have chosen the law governing the individual employment contract, the application of the law that would apply to the contract in the absence of choice must be excluded, with the exception of “provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement”, if those provisions offer the employee concerned greater protection than those of the law chosen by the parties. The EU Court underlined that rules on the minimum wage could be treated as “provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement” and the law that, in the absence of choice, would be applicable should decide about it. Unfortunately, it is necessary to follow the commented judgment’s justification to correctly understand the concept of an employee’s protection applied in Article 8 (1) of the Rome I Regulation. The thesis of the ruling in this regard seems to be too laconic, and it can be misinterpreted.
