The aim of the article is to answer the question of why contemporary interpersonal relationships need dialogue in cultural and social transformations ? The article is based on the conclusions of the author’s research carried out among a selected group of students revealing the characteristics of homo construens. Young people who took part in the research directed (constructed) the scripts of partnership and family biographies as free, original and willing to change. On the other hand, the same scripts unmasked loneliness and a huge need for recognition in the world of cultural and narcissistic demands for self-actualisation, satisfaction and a sense of fulfilmentin the spheres of partnerships and family. The need for dialogue requires pedagogical support that will revealthe values of community, social groups and partnerships.

Introduction and objective. The aim of this study is to assess the interpersonal relations of employees of State Forests in Poland, as well as to indicate the factors related to the level of satisfaction with the relations among people employed in similar positions, and relations with superiors. Materials and method. The issues investigated were developed based on research conducted between 2014–2015 among employees of State Forests in Poland. In each of the 9 forest districts selected, 25 people were selected for testing from 3 groups of employees: foresters, deputy foresters and supervisors, together with administrative staff. Altogether, 399 people took part in the study conducted by means of a questionnaire. Results. The study showed that the overall level of satisfaction with interpersonal relations among employees of State Forests in Poland is high. Analysis indicated that the demographic characteristics of respondents, such as age, gender or place of residence, had no significant influence on satisfaction with interpersonal relations in the workplace. However, the level of satisfaction with interpersonal relations was positively affected by a high level of overall job satisfaction and satisfaction with remuneration. Decrease in the level of satisfaction was influenced by the accumulation of stressful life events and employment in administration. Conclusions. Satisfaction with interpersonal relationships in the workplace is an important indicator of employee mental health. Studies have shown the need to broaden the scope of research into the variables that determine the character and personality of an employee.

Szczególnie laikowi relacje międzyludzkie wydają się być niezborne i chaotyczne. Dynamika, unikalność, emocjonalność i osadzenie relacji międzyludzkich w różnych kontekstach sytuacyjnych sprawia, że wymykają się one naukowej obiektywnej perspektywie ujęcia. Nauki społeczne wygenerowały jednak szereg podejść, które pozwalają badaczom tego zagadnienia widzieć je w bardziej spójny i możliwy do badawczej operacjonalizacji sposób. W artykule sygnalizuje niektóre z nich. Płodne i obiecujące jest semantyczno-lingwistyczne podejście. Przywołuję je, przytaczając dwie metafory: organiczną i dramaturgiczną Ervinga Goffmana. Zwracam też uwagę na indywidualny i społeczny charakter kategorii pojęciowej Ja odzwierciedlonego (Charles Cooley) ujawniającej indywidualno-społeczny charakter tego pojęcia. Jeszcze innym jest wiele wyjaśniające podejście etykietowania (labeling) Howarda Beckera; rola oczekiwań (Robert Rosenthal) oraz znaczący nurt etnometodologii. Obok tych dobrze znanych perspektyw pojawiły się w ostatnich latach nowe. Należą do nich ujęcie stygmatyzujące, które wprowadził Erving Goffman w latach 70. ubiegłego wieku ale które współcześnie znalazło nowe kontynuacje teoretyczne i badawcze. Do zupełnie nowych, szczególnie w socjologii należy sięgnięcie do emocji. Nawiązuję tu do znaczenia emocji wstydu jako najbardziej fundamentalnej z emocji w ujęciu Thomasa Scheffa.
Especially for laymen, interpersonal relationships seem to be clumsy and chaotic. Due to the dynamics, uniqueness, emotionality and embedding of interpersonal relations in various situational contexts, they elude the scientific objective perspective of the approach. However, social sciences have generated a number of approaches that allow researchers to see it in a more coherent and research-operational way. Some of them are mentioned in the article. The semantic-linguistic approach is fertile and promising. I evoke them by citing two metaphors: organic and dramatic by Erving Goffman. I also pay attention to the individual and social nature of the conceptual category of the reflected self (Charles Cooley), which reveals the individual-social nature of this concept. Yet another is the much explaining the labeling approach of Howard Becker, the role of expectations (Robert Rosenthal) and the significant current of ethno-methodology. In addition to these well-known perspectives, new ones have emerged in recent years. These include the stigmatizing approach introduced by Goffman in the 1970s, but which has found new theoretical and research continuations today. Reaching for emotions is something completely new, especially in sociology. I am referring here to the importance of the emotion of shame as the most fundamental emotion in the terms of Thomas Scheff.

Artykuł jest przeglądem teorii neopsychoanalitycznych i tzw. life-span psychology pod kątem warunków, które umożliwiają lub ograniczają poprawność przyszłych relacji człowieka z otoczeniem. Jest on skierowany głównie do socjologów i pedagogów, stąd jego celem jest ukazanie tych konstatacji, które pozwalają dogłębniej rozumieć trudności w relacjach międzyludzkich i ich uwarunkowania. Autorzy prezentują problemy wczesnego dzieciństwa i adolescencji, jako przykłady ujawniania się warunków i prawidłowości rozwojowych, znajdujących wyraz w ukształtowaniu właściwej i zakłóconej tożsamości. Opisują zarówno tzw. błędy rozwojowe, jak i psychologiczne warunki niezakłóconego rozwoju.
The article is a review based on the analyses of chosen theories of psychological development (mainly postpsychoanalytic and life span psychology). Its primary purpose is to introduce a deeper understanding of how the course of life can influence the functioning of an individual in interpersonal connections. It is mainly addressed to sociologists and educators (teachers). The authors focus on the early infancy and adolescence, as examples of the emergence of conditions manifesting in the shaping of a proper or disturbed identity. The authors describe both the so-called developmental disorders and psychological conditions of undisturbed development.

Introduction: Code of Conduct and Ethics for Nurses and Midwives is kind of a signpost for each and every member of professional association. They are so crucial, that one should not only know them but also implement in everyday situations in practice. Nowadays, in current organizational realities issues mentioned in Code on Conduct which are connected to professional relations in nursing teams in Poland become more predominant. This is why the aim of the study is the evaluation of ethical aspects in professional relations in nursing teams. Materials and method: The study was conducted using the diagnostic survey method with the use of original survey questionnaire. 115 nurses and midwives took place in the survey all of them being active staff and workers of one of the hospital of West-Pomeranian Poland. Results: A tree-step range was used to evaluate the researched issue. Obtained material showed that the professional relations in nursing teams are satisfactory. Conclusions: Research data analysis allowed to formulate a following conclusion: received satisfactory assessment in a given research group can be understood as an average level when talking about ethical aspects of professional relations in nursing teams. This can be seen as difficulties or even the lack of proper professional relations between nurses. This can influence the quality of provided services. Thus, it is important to take into consideration actions which aim at improvement such as special training in terms of psychological aspects of interpersonal relations in teams with regard to practice in particular.

Idiomatic expressions in Florian Czarnyszewicz’s novels as a linguistic evidence of mutual relations of the Polish community by the Berezina river at the beginning of the 20th centuryThis article is an attempt at analysing collocations chosen from Florian Czarnyszewicz’s novels Nadberezyńcy and Wicik Żywica on the basis of their semantic classification. The subject of the analysis were collocations expressing mutual interpersonal relations: love, relations with family members or neighbours, fighting with somebody / showing hostility, punishment / revenge, killing / dying. The majority of the analysed idioms are used to express emotions, among which negative emotions prevail. The analysed units can be divided in the following way:typical of spoken Polishhaving full semantic, lexical and grammatical equivalents in Belorussianhaving full semantic, lexical and grammatical equivalents in Russianhaving full semantic, lexical and grammatical equivalents in Belorussian and Russian.This division results from the historical and linguistic conditions – the Poles inhabiting ethnic Belarus lived in a multinational environment. Traditional Polish communities were located near Belorussian and Russian (Old-Believers’) villages. The genetic proximity of the Polish, Belorussian (including dialects) and Russian languages gave rise to numerous language interferences. The evidence of this is the vocabulary used in Czarnyszewicz’s novels, especially idioms.

The aim of this article is the presentation of one of the tools of personnel management - the staff opinion survey. The example used by the authoress is an opinion survey conducted on a hospital in the town of Tarnów. The assumption behind the opinion survey (also known as a satisfaction study) is the evaluation by the employed staff of actions undertaken by the company management, a diagnosis of the level of satisfaction, and an assessment of the organizational climate. It is a simple way to collect information on various aspects of business management from the company's most precious resource - its employees.

Życie codzienne od wielu już lat zajmuje niekwestionowanie ważne miejsce w badaniach naukowców z różnych dziedzin, takich jak choćby: historyków, filozofów, socjologów czy antropologów. Eksploracją codzienności zajmują się też etnografowie, zagłębiając się w tajniki codziennego życia typowego dla rozmaitych społeczności czy instytucji. Wskazują oni, że jedną z cech codzienności jest jej dynamiczny charakter, gdyż ulega ona zmianie tak często, jak często zmieniają się konteksty i aspekty ludzkiego życia. Zależność tę ukazują wyraźnie zaprezentowane przez autorkę badania własne, w których skupiono się na odsłonięciu jednego z najważniejszych aspektów codzienności, jakim są wzajemne relacje, łączące członków społeczności Domu Pomocy Społecznej. Jak się okazuje, mimo licznych reform, którymi od lat 90. XX wieku objęto zasady funkcjonowania tego typu placówek, chcąc zmienić je z popularnego dotąd wzorca instytucji totalnej na coraz częściej upowszechniany wzorzec instytucji demokratycznej, w nie wszystkich DPS-ach udało się tego dokonać w takim samym stopniu. Wyniki badania dają podstawę do refleksji, iż działalność DPS-ów wymaga wielu jeszcze przeobrażeń i stanowi ogromne wyzwanie na najbliższe lata.
For many years everyday life has been unquestionably important in the research of scientists from various fields, such as historians, philosophers, sociologists and anthropologists. Ethnographers also deal with the exploration of everyday life, delving into the secrets of everyday life typical of various communities or institutions. They point out that one of the characteristics of everyday life is its dynamic character, because it changes as often as the contexts and aspects of human life. This dependence is clearly shown by the authors' own research, which focused on uncovering one of the most important aspects of everyday life, which are the mutual relations that connect members of a nursing home community. As it turns out, despite numerous reforms, which have covered the principles of functioning of this type of institutions from the 1990s, wanting to change them from the popular pattern of the total institution to the increasingly popular model of the demo-cratic institution, not in all nursing homes it was possible to do so in equal measure. The results of the study provide the basis for reflection that the activity of nursing homes requires many more transformations and is a huge challenge for the coming years.

Background: A dissonance between high ‘technical’ professionalism of nurses and a relatively low level of patient satisfaction with received care is a phenomenon observed in many countries. Method: Theoretical concept and review of current published studies. Discussion: Most reviewed studies show that a low level of patient satisfaction occurs in the case of an inadequate interpersonal communication between nurses and patients. Most studies indicate poor effectiveness of shaping communication competences of nurses based on standard education in the area of general psychology and communication knowledge, because this knowledge does not convert itself ‘spontaneously’ into communication competences during occupational activity. Conclusions: It is necessary to supplement educational programmes for nurses with practical courses in professional interpersonal communication. International experience exchange concerning the shaping of nurses’ communication competences may be limited due to cultural, organizational and systems factors.

Drawing on the international research program ‘Teacher presence. A Multicultural Comparison’, this paper tackles the issue of Polish teacher candidates’ representations of teacher presence in the classroom. The basis for the current study consists of drawings made by the participants in response to the task ‘Me, in my class’ and its accompanying question: What does this drawing tell me about you as an early childhood education teacher? Drawings done by the participants show not only the way in which the respondents perceive themselves and their roles as teachers but also the way in which they conceive the relationship with students in the classroom. The analysis of the collected material indicates strong institutional features embedded in the physical space of the school, where both the teacher and the students appear as typical products of the institution and where the relationship of power and subordination is still maintained. The classroom as an organized, didactic space and teacher-students relationships emerge as the two main components defining future teachers’ representation of teacher presence in the classroom.

Modernization discourses which penetrated into Poland after the systemic transitions of 1989 brought meanings that were in opposition to those embedded in the traditional models of interpersonal relations. Although the emergence of new meanings pertaining to asymmetrical social relations is typical for societies undergoing structural and cultural transformation, in the case of Poland these shifts have advanced rapidly, especially in comparison with the Western societies. This resulted in the fragmentation of the doxa-the set of taken-forgranted assumptions about the ‘natural’ shape of interpersonal relations. Due to this ‘responsible actors’ whose social roles have been so far based on authority have been affected by a loss of the sense of control over their basic social relations, i.e. the relations through which they define their identity and/or appoint life goals. Using qualitative evidence from Poland we analyze interpersonal relations in two domains of social life, i.e. work and family, in order to identify interactional operations through which the ‘responsible actors’ (managers and parents) attempt to regain control over interaction partners. Comparison across two different fields of social life offers an in-depth insight into the general dynamics of control restoring operations, and the key role of emotion management in this process.

The results of the study provide the basis for reflection that the activity of nursing homes requires many more transformations and is a huge challenge for the coming years.

Przedmiotem badań prezentowanych w niniejszym artykule była odpowiedź na pytanie, jakie są „relacje interpersonalne młodzieży szkolnej w sieci i w świecie rzeczywistym”. Celem tej pracy było pokazanie, w jaki sposób Internet wpływa na relacje międzyludzkie młodzieży szkolnej, jeśli przyjaźnie online mogą zastąpić prawdziwych przyjaciół. W pierwszej części pracy, na podstawie literatury, przedstawiono aspekt komunikacji interpersonalnej wraz z objawami i konsekwencjami uzależnień internetowych. Poniżej opisano wykorzystanie komputera i Internetu oraz ich wpływ na młodzież. Kolejna część pracy wykazała analizę i interpretację badań na podstawie ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród młodzieży szkolnej. Ostatnia część pracy dotyczyła streszczenia i wniosków związanych z problemem relacji międzyludzkich wśród młodzieży szkolnej w sieci i w świecie rzeczywistym.
  The Subject of the following thesis is “The interpersonal relationship of high-school youth on the Web and in the real world.” The aim of this work was to show in what way the Internet influences the interpersonal relationships of high-school youth and if online friendships can replace real friends. In the first part of the work, on the basis of literature, the aspect of interpersonal communication together with symptoms and consequences of Internet addictions were presented. What follows, the use of the computer and the Internet as well as their influence on youthwas described. Another part of the work showed the analysis and interpretation of the research based on a survey conducted among high-school youth. The last part of the thesis pertained tothe summary and conclusions connected with the problem of interpersonal relationships of high-school youth on the Web and in the real world.

The article focuses on conditions of undertaking an active role in interpersonal contacts in early adolescence. The experiment was situated in a context of social learning, which is why a way of functioning in social relationships was treated as an effect of an interaction of biopsychosocial factors. The conditions in which a role of a perpetrator was evoked were looked for in a mutual relation of factors such as: attachment, aggressiveness, psychological defense, and experienced emotions. An experimental group consisted of 399 adolescents aged between 12 and 15 years old. The experiment was longitudinal and two measurements were taken. The first one was taken at the beginning of a school year (September, 2015) and the second one was taken at the end of it (June, 2016). In the experiment, the following scales were used: BPAQ (Buss, Perry, 1992), CD – RISC (Connor, Davidson, 2003), IPPA (Armsden, Greenberg, 1987), SUPSO (Mikšik, 2004) and Mini-DIA (Österman, Björkqvist, 2008). Results obtained suggest an importance of earlier experiences of aggressiveness and experienced emotional states for an activation of aggressive behaviors. Among girls, an important protective factor was psychological defense. Among boys, attachment was crucial. The experiment’s results should make us reflect on an offer of prevention and correction programs for adolescents revealing aggressive behaviors.
