Sektor MSP od lat należy do najdynamiczniej rozwijających się i informatyzujących obszarów polskiej gospodarki. Zaawansowane rozwiązania ICT (Information and Communication Technology) stanowią warunek sine qua non nowocześnie funkcjonujących przedsiębiorstw tego sektora i wpisują się w proces transformacji cyfrowej. W artykule omówiono aktualne tendencje rozwojowe w zakresie informatyzacji nowoczesnych przedsiębiorstw sektora MSP. Dokonano tego na bazie wyników badań własnych autora przeprowadzonych w okresie 2014–2016 w wybranych przedsiębiorstwach województw mazowieckiego i wielkopolskiego oraz odniesiono je do ogólnych tendencji rozwojowych w zakresie globalnej transformacji cyfrowej.
An active sector of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Poland is a prerequisite of a properly functioning market economy. This sector encompasses various companies. The ICT (Information and Communication Technology) can help even the odds. SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) is the concept that four technologies are currently driving business innovation. SMAC creates an ecosystem that allows a business to improve its operations and get closer to the customer with minimal overhead and maximum reach. We have conducted a questionnaire-based survey to identify how polish SMEs perceive this phenomenon of e-business systems in era of digital transformation.

Opis:
New growth theories hypothesize economic growth processes as heavily dependent on investment in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). However, the full empirical verification of this hypothesis still is an open task, particularly when growth is considered within selected countries such as the OIC countries. Furthermore, the conclusions derived from research concerning the causal relationship between ICT and economic growth is often sensitive to the research methodology employed. This paper employs dynamics and static panel data approach within a framework of growth model and apply them to the economy of OIC countries over the time period of 1990-2014. The estimates reveal a significant impact of investments in ICT on economic growth in the countries considered. The policy implication of this paper is that the OIC countries should design specific policies for promoting investment in ICT.
Nowe teorie wzrostu zakładają, że procesy wzrostu są w dużym stopniu zależne od inwestycji w Technologie Informatyczno-Komunikacyjne (TIK). Jednak pełna weryfikacja empiryczna tego założenia nadal pozostaje otwartym zadaniem, zwłaszcza jeśli wzrost jest rozważany w grupie wybranych krajów, jak kraje OIC (ang.: Organization of Islamic Conference, pl.: Organizacja Konferencji Islamskiej). Co więcej, wnioski wynikające z badań dotyczących zwykłych zależności pomiędzy TIK a wzrostem gospodarczym są często wrażliwe na zastosowaną metodologię badawczą. Niniejszy artykuł stosuje podejście oparte na dynamicznych i statycznych danych panelowych w ramach modelu wzrostu i odnosi je do gospodarek krajów OIC w latach 1990-2014. Szacunki wykazują, że istnieje znaczący wpływ inwestycji w TIK na wzrost gospodarczy w analizowanych krajach. Implikacje polityczne wynikające z wniosków zakładają, że kraje OIC powinny projektować specjalne programy polityczne ukierunkowane na promocję inwestycji w TIK.

Corruption is a social phenomenon that has existed since the beginning in all communities, present in everyday situations, and affects the education system. We reviewed the various aspects of corruption in the Amazon education system basing on domination theory. We looked for factors that facilitate corruption in the education system and harm sustainable development in the Amazon. We have also shown the relationships between domination theory, scientific knowledge degradation, and sustainable development. We have identified some options to fight corruption in the education system to ensure sustainable development in the Amazon. We have implemented a qualitative research project under the Amazon Graduate Program to reach described goals. Our research methods included critical literature analysis, case study, direct observation, and content analysis to describe the literature review concepts. Through the Ishikawa diagram's graphic representation, we highlighted the causes of traditional domination and corruption sub-causes that cause the degradation of scientific knowledge and sustainability in the Amazon. The study concludes that the domination in the education system is similar to traditional domination. Corrupt actions can be decisive for preventing the construction of knowledge about Sustainability in the Amazon. The scenario warns of a crisis in the education system. Our findings allow us to suggest significant actions for coping with curbing corrupt practices and unethical actions in the system. Our Amazonian academy findings help reflect the reality of the managers and politicians sensitized with this investigative work.

The paper presents the main arguments that explain the causes for a productivity paradox formulated by American economist Robert M. Solow in 1987 in connection with the rapid development of information and communication technology. The paper discusses the conditions that need to be met to support the growth of productivity related to the use of ICT, particularly in developing countries. The analysis is based on a literature review focusing on the Solow paradox. It argues that there are two prerequisites to “see” a positive impact of ICT on productivity statistics: the time necessary for the completion of learning-by-doing processes, and the existence of ICT complementarities. ICT complementarities usually include changes in workplace organization and business processes, coupled with investment in human capital, foreign direct investment and the creation of an entrepreneurship-friendly institutional environment. The main conclusion from the analysis - in the context of how developing countries take advantage of ICT investment to accelerate the convergence process – is that special attention should be paid to ICT complementarities. They are a key determinant of a productive use of ICT. Research studies reviewed in the article show that it is not enough to simply invest in ICT capital stock (through investment in hardware and software) in order to materialize the benefits of ICT. Complementary investments are also necessary, mainly in human capital, changes in workplace organization at the enterprise level, and investment in intangible assets.
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie głównych argumentów, które wyjaśniają przyczyny paradoksu produktywności, sformułowanego przez R. Solowa w 1987 roku w związku z dynamicznym rozwojem technologii informacyjnych i telekomunikacyjnych. W rezultacie, artykuł omawia warunki, jakie powinny zostać spełnione, aby coraz szersze wykorzystanie ICT faktycznie wspierało wzrost produktywności, w szczególności w krajach rozwijających się. Analiza ma charakter przeglądu literatury dotyczącej badań nad paradoksem Solowa. Jej wyniki wskazują, że ujawnienie się pozytywnego wpływu wdrożenia ICT na produktywność wymaga po pierwsze czasu, a po drugie – zaistnienia komplementarnych w stosunku do ICT inwestycji. Wśród czynników komplementarnych wymienia się zazwyczaj zmiany w organizacji pracy i procesach biznesowych, inwestycje w kapitał ludzki, bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne, a także budowanie przyjaznego otoczenia instytucjonalnego dla przedsiębiorczości. Głównym wnioskiem z analiz, w kontekście możliwości wykorzystania inwestycji w ICT przez kraje rozwijające się do przyspieszenia procesów konwergencji, jest potrzeba zwrócenia szczególnej uwagi na czynniki komplementarne wobec ICT. Stanowią one kluczową determinantę produktywnego wykorzystania ICT – jak bowiem wskazują wyniki badań, aby osiągnąć korzyści z ICT nie wystarczy proste powiększanie zasobu kapitału ICT (poprzez inwestycję w sprzęt i oprogramowanie). Niezbędne są także inwestycje komplementarne – przede wszystkim w kapitał ludzki, wdrażanie zmian w organizacji pracy na poziomie przedsiębiorstw, czy inwestowanie w wartości niematerialne

Na podstawie doświadczeń własnych respondentek i ich wniosków ze współpracy z innymi wiejskimi przedsiębiorczyniami, w artykule przedstawiono bariery i motywatory wiejskiej przedsiębiorczości kobiet w obszarze ICT, a także opinie respondentek na temat warunków dalszego rozwoju i możliwości wsparcia tej przedsiębiorczości.
This article presents the results of a survey conducted in 2009 on a group of participants of the German pilot project “IT-Landfrauen” (“IT- rural women”). The survey has been conducted on rural women providing services (chargeable and as activity for the German Association of Rural Women) in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Based on own experiences of respondents and on their cooperation with other female entrepreneurs in rural areas, this article presents barriers and motivators of rural female entrepreneurship in the area of ICT and conditions of further development and possible support measures for the entrepreneurship perceived by respondents.

The paper presents a study about using Insta.Ling e-learning platform in university teaching process of English language for Biology students. The aim of this study is to estimate its effectiveness and the correlation between the number of repetitions and the number of words memorized. The total number of students involved in this research is 129 (6 student groups and in 3 academic years). They are all students of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University, Warsaw. The results allow to assume that Insta.Ling environment is an effective way to learn new vocabulary and regular sessions positively affect the number of vocabulary memorized.

The article describes the economic entities’ level of involvement in the information- -telecommunication technologies. It also presents the ranking of Polish voivodeships in terms of usage of the above-mentioned technologies in enterprises, in the year 2009. The research has been conducted with help of multi-criteria arrangement of the UTA decisional variants, based on disaggregation of preferential information. The obtained results have been matched against results generated through the taxonomic indicators of development.
