Polski Koncern Mięsny Duda S.A jest fi rmą rodzinną założoną w 1990 r., która w 2002 roku weszła na Giełdę Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie. W opracowaniu dokonano analizy ekonomicznej spółki w latach 2006-2008. W tym okresie suma bilansowa systematycznie wzrastała, zwłaszcza w stosunku do 2006 roku. W strukturze aktywów duży udział stanowił majątek trwały, co oznaczało wysoki stopień zamrożenia majątku, a tym samym znaczne ryzyko prowadzonej działalności. Spółka wykazywała niski stopień pokrycia majątku kapitałami własnymi, co skutkowało wysokim zadłużeniem, wynikającym z sfi nansowania aktywów obrotowych. Sytuacja fi nansowa, w badanym okresie pogorszyła się o czym świadczą coraz niższe wskaźniki rentowności. W spółce występowały problemy z płynnością fi nansową. Wyniki badań wskazują, że rozwój PKM Duda S.A. w analizowanych latach uległ wyraźnemu zahamowaniu.
Polish Meat Concern Duda S.A. is a family fi rm established in 1990. It became a listed company on Stock Exchange in Warsaw in 2002. The survey involves economic analysis of this company in the years 2006-2008. Within that period balance sum featured a continuous increase, especially in relation to 2006. A considerable share in capital mix belonged to fi xed assets which meant a signifi cant degree of assets frozen and, therefore, a high risk connected with activity conducted. The company characterized low percentage of assets coverage with equity, which resulted in high indebtedness. Originating from fi nancing current assets. Financial situation worsened in the examined period which was proved by gradually lower profi tability ratios. The company faced fi nancial liquidity problems Investigation results point to the fact that ,in the course of the examined years, development of PKM Duda S.A. underwent a signifi cant decline.

Social media has created new formats and forms of social activity. Production, receipt of information and communications have integrated themselves introducing a new type of communication activity. The role of social media is so important that any social group can go past them indifferently. This situation also applies to politics. Portals such as Twitter, in addition to the innovative communication formula, have established „one-man relations.” The purpose of this work is to determine the formula by which Andrzej Duda runs his Twitter account. The analysis identifies the collection of the most frequently discussed topics, the most popular news, and ways of using the site by Andrzej Duda. The study used quantitative and qualitative methods, including horizontal analysis and content analysis taking into account the media context and hypertextual structure. The main purpose of the description is a thorough quantitative analysis taking into consideration aspects of qualitative analysis (categories, topics, relationships).

The article presents the methodologies based on multi-body systems used to analyze the dynamics of rail vehicle in motion in a straight line. Study of the railway vehicles dynamics requires the creation of three mutually independent models: the model of the vehicle, the track model and a model of the wheel - rail contact. A railway vehicle model developed in the multi-body systems convention was an electric locomotive of the EU07symbol The general software model of the wheel - rail contact was programmed and is presented, which allows one in the course ofanalysis to determine the coordinates ofthe contact point between wheel and rail and thus the designation of the wheel forces in contact with the rail. The model ofthe contact forces includes normal force with damping hysteresis and tangential forces determined by the Polach method. Developed models were implemented in Matlab program environment. The numerical simulations were performer for the complete vehicle and a single bogie steady state conditions.

The author of this paper analyzes a specific political fact, namely the inauguration of presidency in modern democratic systems. Focusing on the inauguration of Andrzej Duda’s presidency, the author answers the question of whether this extensive range of activities (encompassing the act of swearing in, symbolical acts, presidential address and other speeches) is an element of a consciously created legitimacy claim made by the president-elect. Answering this question in the affirmative, the author illustrates how the claims that refer to all three of Weber’s types of legitimacy are encompassed in the successive parts of the inauguration: the swearing in refers to the legal element of legitimacy, an extensive range of symbolical acts refers to tradition, whereas the presidential address introduces yet another element justifying legitimacy, this timeresulting from the heritage of Lech Kaczyński’s charisma.
W niniejszym artykule autorka analizuje specyficzny fakt polityczny, jakim jest inauguracja prezydentury we współczesnym systemie demokratycznym. Koncentrując się na przykładzie inauguracji prezydentury Andrzeja Dudy, autorka odpowiada na pytanie czy ten rozbudowany zespół działań (złożony z aktu zaprzysiężenia, działań symbolicznych, orędzia i innych przemówień) stanowi element świadomie konstruowanego roszczenia legitymizacyjnego, wysuwanego przez prezydenta- elekta. Odpowiadając pozytywnie na to pytanie, ukazuje ona w jaki sposób roszczenia nawiązujące do wszystkich trzech Weberowskich typów legitymizacji zostały wplecione w poszczególne części inauguracji: zaprzysiężenie zawiera więc legalny element uprawomocniający, bardzo rozbudowany kompleks działań symbolicznych – odwołania do tradycji (II i IV RP), natomiast orędzie – wprowadza kolejny typ uzasadnienia legitymizacyjnego – tym razem wynikającego z roszczenia sukcesji charyzmy po Lechu Kaczyńskim.

Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest ukazaniu politycznego obrazu Andrzeja Dudy w prezydenckiej kampanii wyborczej Prawa i Sprawiedliwości w Polsce w 2015 roku. Rozważane zostają kwestie dotyczące prowadzenia kampanii wyborczej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kreowania wizerunku ówcześnie nieznanego kandydata. Celem artykułu jest próba weryfikacji doboru środków oraz narzędzi, które przyczyniły się do wygranej kandydata Prawa i Sprawiedliwości. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje tutaj rola Internetu, który posłużył jako narzędzie wspomagające kreowanie wizerunku Andrzeja Dudy oraz działania podejmowane przez sztab wyborczy, mające na celu pozyskanie elektoratu.
This article is devoted to showing the political image of Andrzej Duda in the presidential election campaign of Law and Justice in Poland in 2015. Issues related to running the election campaign are being considered, with particular emphasis on creating the image of the then unknown candidate. The purpose of the article is an attempt to verify the selection of resources and tools that contributed to the winning Law and Justice candidate. Particularly noteworthy here is the role of the Internet, which contributed to the creation of the image of Andrzej Duda and the activities undertaken by the electoral staff aimed at obtaining an electorate.

This paper presents a methodology for modelling the movements of an electrical rail vehicle on any track. Vehicle movement is the result of the drive system of a vehicle transferring electromechanical torque generated by the electric motor onto the wheels of the vehicle, while the appropriate driving force is a result of forces resulting from contact between the wheel surface and the rail. The following applicable models were prepared: electromechanical (for electric motor connections that constitute rail vehicle drive) of the vehicle with the drive system and of the contact wheel-rail. These models were implemented in Matlab/Simulink. The presented simulation tool for rail vehicles has been used to test a variety of cases, demonstrating capabilities of the proposed method in a wide range of situations. These cases involved analysis of dynamics of the start-up of the EU07 rail vehicle in a straight line. The results obtained for the analysed rail are valuable information that makes it possible to determine both the loading of the locomotive drive system and to estimate the vehicle travelling speed.

This paper shows the methodology that can be used to study the dynamic phenomena occurring in rail vehicle drive systems by taking into account its actual seating. The studies are performed by providing a detailed description of electromagnetic phenomena found in drive motors and contact phenomena at the interface between the wheel and rail. Forces determined based on the models below constitute the load of a rail vehicle drive system. The mathematical model of the motor has been implemented in Matlab/Simulink software and coupled with the vehicle model developed in the Simmechanics application. These models make it possible to determine the load of drive system for various vehicle dynamic states (startup, steady-state operation) depending on the locomotive load.
W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono metodologię, która może być zastosowana do badania zjawisk dynamicznych w układach napędowych pojazdów szynowych z uwzględnieniem rzeczywistego ich osadzenia. Badania są realizowane przy szczegółowym opisie zjawisk elektromagnetycznych w silnikach napędowych oraz zjawisk kontaktowych na styku współpracy koła z szyną. Wyznaczone z powyższych modeli siły stanowią obciążenie układu napędowego pojazdu szynowego. Sformułowany model matematyczny silnika zaimplementowano w programie Matlab/Simulink i sprzężono go z modelem pojazdu opracowanym w programie Simmechanics. Modele te umożliwiają na wyznaczenie obciążenia układu napędowego, dla różnych stanów dynamicznych pojazdu (rozruch, praca ustalona) w zależności od obciążenia lokomotywy.

The paper discusses the relationship between leadership and expressivity as exemplified by the Polish President's address to the Ukrainian Parliament delivered on 22 May 2022. The study draws on existing understandings of expressivity and discursive leadership as well as previous studies on gesture in political rhetoric. Co-speech gestures are discussed as an interactional resource linked to emotion and evaluation, and as an inseparable part of the speaker’s public persona and identity. Following Bednarek (2011), the analysis considers the president’s expressivity at the micro-, meso- and macro-level, and it identifies a range of linguistic and gestural resources with which Andrzej Duda constructs a positive involved style while “communicating emotion” and “doing intensity.” The analysis also links the president’s linguistic expression of ardour and gestural behaviour to leadership capabilities, explaining how “relating to the audience” and “visioning” can stir and mobilise the audience in times of war and uncertainty.
Praca omawia związek przywództwa z ekspresywnością na przykładzie wystąpienia Prezydenta RP wygłoszonego w ukraińskim parlamencie 22 maja 2022 r. Badanie czerpie z dotychczasowych ustaleń dotyczących ekspresywności oraz przywództwa dyskursywnego, a także badań nad zachowaniami niewerbalnymi polityków. W pracy zwrócono uwagę na rolę gestów towarzyszących mowie w wyrażaniu emocji i wartościowań, a także na ich udział w budowaniu publicznego wizerunku oraz tożsamości mówcy. Analiza ekspresywności Prezydenta RP, przeprowadzona zgodnie z założeniami Bednarek (2011) na poziomie mikro, mezo i makro, pozwoliła na identyfikację szeregu zasobów językowych i niewerbalnych, za pomocą których Andrzej Duda komunikuje emocje oraz buduje intensywność actio, podkreślając swoje zaangażowanie i pozytywność przekazu. W analizie wskazano ponadto na związek między ekspresją językową i gestyczną a zachowaniami przywódczymi, wyjaśniając, w jaki sposób budowanie relacji z odbiorcą oraz kreślenie wizji mogą poruszać emocje odbiorców i mobilizować ich do działania w dobie wojny i niepewności.

Wśród prezentowa- nych przez niego wartości są także wartości chrześcijańskie, które pub- licznie wyznaje. Przyjmują one różne oblicza, które można skategory- zować, a wydźwięk internautów wyliczyć.
As great as the XXI century came, the Social Media developed as the most important tool in traditional public relations. It is used not only by huge interactive agencies but also by politicians, e.g. the President of the Polish Republic – Andrzej Duda – who runs his own profile on Twitter. He also writes there regularly and enters into dialog with oth- er users to create his image. Among presented values are Christians ones, which he profess. We can categorize these values and count us- ers’ undertone.

The article presents the methods for defining the geometry of the contact surface between a rigid wheel and a rigid rail. The calculation model that has been developed allowed for any arrangement of the wheel in relation to the rail. This allowed for the creation of a system of nonlinear equations, the solution of which allows one to determine the presumable wheel-rail contact points. The search for the solution of the system of strongly nonlinear equations was conducted using a few optimization methods. This allowed one to study both the selection of the starting point and the convergence of the method.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie leksykalnych i pragmatycznych wykładników perswazji w orędziu wygłoszonym przez Andrzeja Dudę w dniu zaprzysiężenia (6 sierpnia 2015) na urząd Prezydenta RP w siedzibie Sejmu Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej. Wydarzenie to było transmitowane przez media publiczne i większość mediów komercyjnych w czasie rzeczywistym. Orędzie jest gatunkiem, w którym dominuje funkcja perswazyjna, co wynika z prezentacji konkretnych deklaracji politycznych osoby, która w językowym kształcie swojej wypowiedzi oddaje określony sposób widzenia świata. Jest ono jednym z najbardziej formalnie skonwencjonalizowanych, rytualnych tekstów politycznych. W tym artykule przedstawiono indywidualny dobór środków perswazyjnych stosowanych przez Andrzeja Dudę i jego współpracowników, aby przekonać nie tylko parlamentarzystów, ale przede wszystkim obywateli, o słuszności wyboru tego, konkretnego polityka na najważniejszy urząd w państwie. Wśród leksykalnych środków perswazji dominuje słownictwo wartościujące oraz nacechowane emocjonalnie stosowane w stylu oficjalnym, o charakterze podniosłym. Zwraca uwagę także leksyka typowa dla stylu religijnego. W sferze pragmatycznej przeważają akty wdzięczności, obietnice, powtórzenia, stwierdzenia modalne i asocjacje historyczne.
My intention in this article was to show lexical and pragmatic techniques of persuasion, used by the President of Poland – Andrzej Duda in his inaugural formal speech, declaimed in parliament on August 6th, 2015 (the day when Andrzej Duda was sworn into office). This formal speech was broadcast live by public media and most of commercial media. President’s address is a type of political texts, in which persuasive function is the most dominant. It may result from the presentation of definite political declaration of person, who shows his mode of seeing the world by using specific language. Furthermore, president’s formal speech is one of the most formally conventional and ritual political texts. In this article there was presented an individual selection of persuasion instruments chosen by Andrzej Duda and his associates. Duda wanted to persuade to vote in him, not only members of parliament, but mainly all citizens. Among lexical techniques of persuasion, particularly dominated evaluative and emotional words, which are applied especially in formal language (sublime tone). An important aspect was also using religious lexemes. What is more, the president also used pragmatic techniques of persuasion: promises, acts of gratitude, repetitions, modal verbs and historical associations.

W artykule przedstawiono zastosowanie eksperymentalnej analizy modalnej do wyznaczania właściwości dynamicznych konstrukcji. Opisano przebieg oraz wyniki badań konstrukcji prototypowego urządzenia do treningu lokomotorycznego. W trakcie badań wyznaczano częstotliwości oraz postacie drgań rezonansowych obiektu, a także widmowe funkcje przejścia. Wyniki badań zostały wykorzystane do modyfikacji właściwości dynamicznych urządzenia oraz do weryfikacji modeli numerycznych obiektu będącego przedmiotem badań.
In this paper it has been presented the application of experimental modal analysis to determine the dynamic properties of the structure. The course and results of the investigations of construction of a prototype device for locomotor training have been described. During the tests, frequency of the resonant modes of vibration object, and spectral transfer functions were determined. The investigation’s results were used to modify the dynamic properties of the device and to verify numerical models of the object being studied.

The article shows the methods and tools used by the surveyed company in the transport process. Transport exchanges and GPS monitoring system play a key role here. A process map is presented, which shows the individual stages of transport tasks realization using the exchanges and other tools. On the basis of the examined entity, the transport exchanges were also compared and evaluated against various criteria. The research took into account three stock exchange platforms used by the company: TimoCom, Trans and Teleroute. As a result of the research, it was found that TimoCom exchange received the highest evaluation for the selected company – 4.74, Trans with a score of 3.84 and Teleroute 3.6. For the audited entity, TimoCom platform turned out to be the best in terms of the criteria compared.

The purpose of this paper is to present a novel mechatronic system for gait re-education which consists of a body weight support system (BWS system) and a treadmill. This publication covers mainly issues related to the design and optimization process of a control algorithm dedicated for the unloading system. The proposed control system is based on a fuzzy logic controller coupled with a PID regulator. The optimization of parameters for regulators has been conducted based on numerical simulations in which a hybrid optimization method combining a genetic algorithm with a gradient algorithm has been used. The developed control system has been tested experimentally.

Opis:
Mould that develops on moistened building barriers is a major cause of the Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). Fungi emit Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) that can be detected in the indoor air using several techniques of detection e.g. chromatography but also using gas sensors arrays. All array sensors generate particular electric signals that ought to be analysed using properly selected statistical methods of interpretation. This work is focused on the attempt to apply unsupervised and supervised statistical classifying models in the evaluation of signals from gas sensors matrix to analyse the air sampled from the headspace of various types of the building materials at the different level of contamination but also clean reference materials.
Grzyb rozwijający się na ścianach budynków jest głównym powodem zjawiska, które nazwano Syndromem Chorego Budynku. Wolne związki organiczne emitowane przez grzyby mogą być wykryte różnymi metodami, m.in. na podstawie chromatografii, ale także za pomocą matryc czujników gazowych. Wszystkie tego typu narzędzia generują sygnały elektryczne, które można analizować za pomocą odpowiednich technik statystycznych. Praca skupia się na zastosowaniu nadzorowanych i nienadzorowanych technik uczenia maszynowego w ocenie sygnału pochodzącego z elektronicznego nosa.

This paper presents a novel mechatronic device to support a gait reeducation process. The conceptual works were done by the interdisciplinary design team. This collaboration allowed to perform a device that would connect the current findings in the fields of biomechanics and mechatronics. In the first part of the article shown a construction of the device which is based on the structure of an overhead travelling crane. The rest of the article contains the issues related to machine control system. In the prototype, the control of drive system is conducted by means of two RT-DAC4/PCI real time cards connected with a signal conditioning interface. Authors present the developed control algorithms and optimization process of the controller settings values. The summary contains a comparison of some numerical simulation results and experimental data from the sensors mounted on the device. The measurement data were obtained during the gait of a healthy person.

The conception of a device for locomotors functions rehabilitation is presented in the paper. Design process was predicted by experimental research into gait in unloaded conditions carried out in a special measuring stand. Obtained results enabled elaboration of guidelines for designing device.

Niniejszy artykuł stanowi refl eksję nad przemówieniami inaugurującymi prezydentury Lecha Kaczyńskiego i Andrzeja Dudy. Pierwsze przemówienie głowy państwa jest zapowiedzią celów prezydentury, wskazaniem obszarów, którymi chce zająć się głowa państwa, prezentacją jego osobowości i sposobu bycia. Celem artykułu było porównanie przemówień inauguracyjnych Lecha Kaczyńskiego i Andrzeja Dudy pod kątem treści oraz użytych środków lingwistycznych i retorycznych. Na potrzeby badania zastosowano technikę analizy źródeł, jakościową analizę treści oraz analizę korpusową i lingwistyczną przy pomocy programów Sketch Engine, WordSmith oraz Jasnopis.
This article is a refl ection on the speeches inaugurating the presidencies of Lech Kaczynski and Andrzej Duda. The opening address of the head of state announces the goals of the presidency. It is also an indication of the areas that the head of state intends to handle, a presentation of their personality and manners. The article aims to compare Lech Kaczynski’s and Andrzej Duda’s inaugural speeches in terms of content, linguistic and rhetorical examination. The study was based on techniques of source analysis, qualitative content analysis, corpus and linguistic analysis, with the use of Sketch Engine, WordSmith and Jasnopis.

This article presents an extract from the research on the male support of the emancipation of Polish women at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. In my consideration of the papers penned by authors who posited common and equal civil rights for men and women, I pay particular attention to Edward Prądzyński’s book published in 1873, and to the journalistic writing by Eugeniusz Starczewski from the end of the first World War. Their two projects for the emancipation of Polish women are diverse: while Prądzyński’s proposition was revolutionary, Starczewski’s work was late and limited in its emancipatory outlook.

Thermoelectric power, electrical resistivity, I-V characteristics, relative electrical permittivity, dc magnetization and ac magnetic susceptibility measurements carried out on $Cu_5SbO_6$ showed p-type semiconducting behaviour with the activation energy of 0.24 eV as well as ferrimagnetic order with the Néel temperature of 5.2 K. The effective magnetic moment of 5.857 $μ_{B}$/f.u. revealed the orbital contribution to the magnetic moment. Large value of the relative electrical permittivity indicated that the $Cu^{2+}$ ions with the unscreened and unfilled electron shells are responsible for the polarizability and forming of electric dipoles.

Due to their characteristics, sintered Cu-C composites are materials used in electrical equipment. These characteristics include high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and excellent resistance to abrasion. Currently, graphite nanopowder is used successfully as a carbon material. Metal-graphite, which is created on its basis, exists in different proportions of graphite to metal. A larger graphite content has a positive effect on smaller wear of commutators and rings. In contrast, a material with a higher copper content is used at high current densities. An example of such machines is a DC motor starter characterized by low voltage and large current. Tribological properties of Cu-C composites depend on the form of carbon they include. Owing to the capability to manufacture graphene, it has become possible to produce composites with its content. The present study tested the effect of a graphene oxide content on tribological properties in contact with steel. Tests were conducted on a ball-on-disk apparatus in conditions of dry friction. Microscopic observation was performed on the Hitachi SU70 field emission electron microscope. EDS analyses were performed using the Thermo Scientific X-ray Microanalysis system. Disk wear and surface geometrical structure parameters (SGP) of the samples after tribological tests were determined on the basis of measurements made on the Talysurf 3D contact profilometer from Taylor Hobson.

The aim of this study was to determine and select boundary conditions of modeling and FEM simulation for plastic processing on the example of sheet-metal forming. Research of conducted process of sheet-metal forming allows to determine the effectiveness of computer research methods. The finite-element method can be used as an effective tool for the study of plastic processing phenomena considering various operating conditions of individual elements provided the appropriate tools for FEM analysis.

On October 17, 2017, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan paid an official visit to Warsaw upon the invitation of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. The main subject of the talks was political, economic and cultural cooperation. Issues of security were also addressed. President Erdoğan had last visited Warsaw during the NATO summit on July 8–9, 2016. During the meeting in October, the two presidents signed five bilateral agreements. This paper provides an analysis of the effects of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit and prospects regarding the development of friendly relations between Poland and Turkey from Ankara’s perspective. In the paper we applied the test analysis method, the historical method and the institutional and legal one. We pose a thesis that the aim of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit was to identify mutual relations in the economic, political and cultural dimension. According to the Turkish government, these relations are beneficial for both sides. What should be particularly important for Poland is the prospect of opening new cooperation opportunities in the economic sphere. Turkey, in turn, apart from defining the broad framework of business cooperation, is undoubtedly determined to find a partner which could be its ally in the European Union.

Introduction. Evaluation of the prognostic potential of the S100B protein and neuron-specific enolase (NSE) as predictors of mortality in critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICU). Materials and Methods. The study was conducted on 62 patients. Basic clinical variables and blood samples for S100B and NSE level testing were obtained during the first four days after admission. Mortality was described as the patient's death during hospitalization in the ICU. Results. 35% of the patients had died. The level of S100B and NSE was significantly higher in non-survivors in comparison with survivors (p=0.007 and p=0.02, respectively). Mortality risk was significantly higher in patients with higher levels of biomarkers than the reference values for S100B (OR 9.00; 95% CI 2.38-33.99; p<0.001) as well as for NSE (OR 5.75; 95%CI 1.31-25.27; p=0.016). Receiver operating characteristic proved that S100B is a better mortality predictor than NSE (AUC 0.76 for S100B and 0.68 for NSE). From all the other variables, the Apache II score turned out to be the only significant predictor of mortality (AUC 0.88). Conclusion. There is a significant correlation between mortality in the ICU and increased serum concentration of S100B and NSE. This correlation is stronger for S100B. Testing for serum levels of S100B and NSE may be useful for prediction of treatment outcomes in the ICU patients.

Cu-C composites are materials used for the production of brushes, contacts, and pressing shoes for electric machines due to their mechanical and wear properties. These characteristics include good thermal and electrical conductivity, a low coefficient of friction, and lubricity under varying operating conditions. Currently, graphite and copper nanopowder based materials are used as a metal-carbon material in different ratios of these components. Graphite content in this kind of material has a positive effect on the smaller consumption of, e.g., rings and commutators. In contrast, a material without graphite content is used at high current densities. The examples of such machines are a DC motor starter or generators for electrolysis characterized by large current and low voltage. The present study tested the effect of graphene oxide (rGO) content on tribological properties in contact with steel in Cu-C composites. Tests were conducted on a ball-on-disk apparatus in conditions of dry friction. Disk wear and surface geometrical structure parameters (SGP) of the samples after tribological tests were determined on the basis of measurements made on the Talysurf.3D contact profilometer from Taylor Hobson. Damage mechanisms were identified and their relationships with structural characteristics were deducted. The hardness of Cu-C materials was higher than in copper. Cu-C based materials produce a better improvement of wear resistance, while the wear resistance of the graphene oxide based composites also decreased.
Kompozyty Cu-C są materiałami używanymi do produkcji szczotek, styków i ślizgów do maszyn elektrycznych ze względu na ich dobre właściwości mechaniczne i odporność na zużycie. Cechy te obejmują dobre przewodnictwo cieplne i elektryczne, niski współczynnik tarcia i samosmarność w różnych warunkach roboczych. Obecnie grafit i nanoproszek na bazie miedzi są stosowane jako materiały kompozytowe metal–węgiel w różnych proporcjach. Obecność grafitu w tym rodzaju materiału ma pozytywny wpływ na mniejsze zużycie np. pierścienia i komutatora. Materiały bez dodatku grafitu na ogół są stosowane podczas używania dużych gęstości prądu. Przykładami takich maszyn są rozrusznik silnika prądu stałego lub generatory do elektrolizy charakteryzujące się dużym prądem i niskim napięciem. W niniejszym artykule zbadano wpływ zawartości tlenku grafenu (rGO) w kompozytach Cu-C na właściwości tribologiczne w kontakcie ze stalą. Testy przeprowadzono na urządzeniu z kula–tarcza w warunkach tarcia technicznie suchego. Zużycie tarcz i parametry struktury geometrycznej powierzchni (SGP) próbek po testach tribologicznych wyznaczono na podstawie pomiarów wykonanych na profilografometrze stykowym Talysurf 3D firmy Taylor Hobson. Zidentyfikowano mechanizmy uszkodzeń i powiązano z cechami strukturalnymi. Twardość materiałów Cu-C była wyższa niż w miedzi. Materiały na bazie Cu-C odznaczały się poprawą odporności na zużycie, podobnie jak kompozyty modyfikowane tlenkiem grafenu w porównaniu z materiałem osnowy.

Aim: The aim of the study was to analyze mental well-being, especially anxiety and a sense of loneliness of Polish children temporarily separated from their parent or parents who are migrating for economic reasons, and children who went abroad with their parents. Methods: Explicit Anxiety Scale was used to measure anxiety “Jaki Jesteś?” (“What are you like?” by Skrzypek and Choynowski) (textbook by Zwierzyńska, Matuszewski, 2007) and the Polish versions of the UCLA Loneliness Scale were used to measure loneliness (by Russell, Peplau, & Cutrona, adapted by Rembowski, 1992). Test results were supplemented with an interview with children. 320 children from different types of migrant families participated in the study. Results: the highest level of anxiety is felt by children temporarily separated from their mother, and children who, together with their parents, went abroad and find it difficult to adapt to the new environment. The duration of emigration was an important factor. Most children in the sample ‒ regardless of the type of migratory family ‒ feel lonely, do not feel strong ties with close relatives, do not feel understood by them, do not feel associated with a peer group. Conclusion: The results of the research indicate the necessity to take actions in the area of institutional and legal as well as psychological support for families and children both in the situation of going abroad and returning from migration. The most important directions of activities concerning the creation of environmental forms of separation compensation and the environmental assistance system for the migration family are indicated at the stage of prevention related to people planning trips.

Opis:
Soy beans powder mixed with water is a good food for animals. However, there are two problems with this brew. One is that soy beans powder is sunk down to fast. Parts of soy beans powder are too big and too heavy. Animals do not eat soy beans powder because after a few minutes (around 3min) is sunk down and soy beans are on the bottom case. Another negative point is a quick growth of mold, especially during summer when the temperature is highest. Mold is making food unhealthy and causes unpleasant smell. After mold appears it is difficult to clean the case. One of the solutions to eliminate these problems is to use pulse power plasma discharge and the second solution is ultra sound treatment. It was observed that pulse power discharge can decrease the size of soy beans powder a few times. Another advantage of such experiments was that the pulse power discharge killed bacteria and viruses. After our experiments we did not observe mold growing. Using pulse power discharge we can decrease sinking speed by about ten times. Ultra sound generation is useful and can decrease sinking speed even more, compared with pulse power discharge.

Władze samorządowe i organizacje turystyczne konkurujących ze sobą na rynku turystycznym miast starają się rozwijać produkty turystyczne z uwzględnieniem także dziedzictwa kulinarnego. Szczególnym przypadkiem jest Poznań, który reprezentuje region historyczny o utrwalonych tradycjach kulinarnych, a wśród nich wyjątkowym, bo unikatowym lokalnym produktem jest rogal świętomarciński. Celem artykułu jest analiza oferty związanej z rogalem świętomarcińskim w Poznaniu i odpowiedź na pytanie, czy jest on rdzeniem tak zwanego zintegrowanego produktu turystycznego. Autorzy definiują to pojęcie i proponują model jego funkcjonowania na bazie analizowanego przypadku. Okazuje się, że mimo iż wypiek ten stanowi podstawę wykreowania wielu różnych powiązanych z nim tematycznie produktów, takich jak: wydarzenie, impreza, obiekt, rzecz czy aktywność, rogala świętomarcińskiego nie można uznać za przykład zintegrowanego produktu kulinarnego, gdyż nie zaobserwowano kierunkowej polityki promocji miasta integrującej wszystkie powyżej wymienione działania w celu tworzenia silnego wizerunku miejsca.
Regional authorities and tourist organisations representing cities that compete with each other on the tourist market seek to develop tourist products including their culinary heritage. Poznań seems to be a special case since it exemplifies historic region with established culinary traditions, and rogal świętomarciński (St Martin’s croissant) constitutes an unique local product among them. The aim of the paper is to analyse the offer related to rogal świętomarciński in Poznań and answer to the question whether it has become a core of so-called integrated tourist product. Authors define this concept and propose model of its functioning on the basis of the case-study analysed. However, although there is a whole range of different rogal-related tourist products like things, packages, events, places or activities, this bundle does not create the integrated tourist product since there is a lack of the city promotional policy directed at coordination of these efforts with final consistent image conceived.

A comparative analysis of factors of vacuum rail’s competitiveness in Poland relative to other means of transport is presented. Only such determinants of competitiveness as price and time of travel are focussed on and compared with alternative solutions on selected routes. Impact of price changes on effectiveness of vacuum rail construction is additionally analysed. Investment effectiveness in the case of vacuum rail is considered in the long time-frame, given the time of infrastructure depreciation and of due return on sources of committed financing. The analysis helps to identify key factors which may decide competitive advantage of vacuum rail in Poland over other means of transport.

Przedstawiono najważniejsze osiągnięcia naukowe Profesora Andrzeja Dudy, wieloletniego Kierownika Zakładu Chemii Polimerów Centrum Badań Molekularnych i Makromolekularnych Polskiej Akademii Nauk. Profesor Duda opublikował ponad 100 prac naukowych, wygłosił kilkadziesiąt wykładów na zaproszenie, w tym także wykłady plenarne na prestiżowych konferencjach międzynarodowych. W niniejszym, krótkim omówieniu prac Profesora skupiliśmy się przede wszystkim na dwóch zagadnieniach, spośród których szczególnie pierwsze było według naszego przekonania głównym osiągnięciem, rozwiązującym ważny problem dotyczący kopolimeryzacji monomerów chiralnych. Profesor Duda, po raz pierwszy w chemii polimerów, ustalił że polimeryzacja chiralnych monomerów przebiega niezmiennie wobec katalizatorów achiralnych oraz chiralnych o takim samym znaku jak znak monomeru, natomiast zastosowanie katalizatora o odwrotnej chiralności pozwala na znaczne zmniejszenie szybkości polimeryzacji. Jest to zjawisko o zasadniczym znaczeniu w kopolimeryzacji, szczególnie kiedy chiralny monomer jest znacznie bardziej reaktywny niż drugi komonomer. Mniej szczegółowo omówiono inne osiągnięcia Profesora Andrzeja Dudy, dodano też pełną bibliografię Jego prac.
This paper is describing major scientific achievements of the recently late Professor Andrzej Duda, Chairman of the Department of Polymer Chemistry of The Centre of Molecular and Macromolecular Studies of Polish Academy of Sciences. Professor Duda published over 100 scientific papers and has given several dozens of plenary and invited lectures at the scientific symposia. However, in the present paper, we are mostly describing accomplishment that all of us, and also Professor, have considered as his seminal work, that solved a long time controversial subject. Namely, how to influence reactivities of chiral monomers, using chiral catalysts. Professor Duda had shown, and this subject is mostly described, that reactivity of a chiral monomer can be unchanged (when compared with an achiral catalyst) when polymerized with catalyst of the same chirality and may be many times depressed (the feature highly valuable in several instances) when polymerized with a catalyst with an opposite chirality. This feature is very important in the copolymerization processes, when chiral monomer is much more reactive than the other comonomer. Besides, some other contributions of Professor Duda to Polymer Sciences are also, although briefly mentioned. Full list of papers is given in the second part of the paper.

$Cu_3RE_2W_4O_{18}$ tungstates (RE = Gd, Dy-Er) are paramagnets in the temperature range 4.2-300 K visible also in the absence of the energy losses in the curve of the imaginary part of magnetic susceptibility, χ". The negative values of the paramagnetic Curie-Weiss temperature, θ, may suggest the weak antiferromagnetic coupling below 4.2 K. The temperature independent component of magnetic susceptibility has a positive value indicating a domination of the Van Vleck contribution. Calculations of the effective number of the Bohr magnetons revealed that the orbital contribution to the magnetic moment comes mainly from the $RE^{3+}$ ions.

The article is an attempt to sketch the problem of the theatre group in the work of Frank Castor, German director and head of Berlin’s Volksbühne. The aesthetics of cynical, political, and critical theatre adopted by Castorf determined his thoughts about the theater group as a dynamic, constantly evolving category, developed with the contemporary theatre program in mind and in opposition to the theatre as an institution. The author presents the collectives of Frank Castorf during his time as head of Volksbühne, recalling the statements of the director himself and his colleagues, as well as reaching for the source of his practice through the lens of his activities in the eighties in a provincial theatre in Anklam.
