The subject of the article is the connections between loyalty and job satisfaction based on surveys questionnaire conducted in a company of telecommunications industry. At the beginning workers were identified by type of loyalty presented by them. One can distinguish among them persons with a positive attitude, indifferent or negative. Then the types of job satisfaction and its determinants were presented. The results of research on the impact of job satisfaction, compared with the types of loyalty of tested employees were presented and discussed in the final part of the article.

Current scientific publications present different paradigms of masculinity, but research in this area is a relatively new perspective. However, the specific nature of the everyday experience of people with intellectual disability is still neglected and unrecognised. The aim of this article is to show the concept of masculinity from the perspective of men with intellectual disability. The research is placed in the stream of qualitative research using a case study as a method. The subject of the research covers the statements of men with intellectual disability concerning masculinity. The analysis of the research material obtained from 12 interviews allowed for the identification of four types of masculinity.

Nowadays intermodal transport is the foundation of international trade. In contrast to traditional transport, this transport seeks to combine various services and resources, thus contributing to the improvement of the entire distribution process. The basis of the interchangeable method for limiting the consequences of road transport is, as far as possible, intermodal transport. However, it should be noted that the implementation of the described system requires not only direct connection of each branch of transport, excellent knowledge of strengths and shortcomings, but also proposing more effective financial solutions and a better level of services. It is important that intermodal transport may play an important role in the exploitation of trade, as well as transit transport through Poland. In 2016, 35 active terminals were located in Poland: 28 of them are road terminals that served rail - road, while 7 other terminals were sea terminals that served sea - road and sea - rail.

On 24th and 25th of May, 2018, the Institute of Polish Studies and Journalism of the University of Rzeszów hosted the scientific conference Life without Love is (not) possible. The conference was organized by the employees of the Department of Methodology of Teaching Literature and Polish Language. Over forty participants from the most important academic centres from all over Poland took part in it. The speakers addressed not only general topics concerning basic types of love (agape, charis, eros, family), but also referred to more detailed, but extremely important issues, such as: aspects, features of this value depicted in literary texts, magazines or aphorisms; ways of talking about love in the statements of young people and school textbooks.

This paper presents a study of ships passing distances in coastal waters based on data from the AIS. Examinations are designed also to work towards the development of probabilistic domain that is an area in which the navigator is trying to keep free from other vessels. This article has been hypothesized for the distribution of ships passing distances from which you can build a probabilistic domain. The article summarizes the studies for three types of ships: tankers, passenger ships and cargo vessels and is comparing the shapes of domains for each of them in three situations: overtaking, crossing, vessels on the opposite courses. Studies were carried out in the Gulf of Pomerania.

This article examines the mobility patterns in East–West movement within Europe and challenges the prevailing perception that migration is an act of agency while staying put is seen as having a lack of agency. It argues that staying put can also involve extensive strategies and should be recognised as an active choice. The article utilises Bourdieu’s three types of capital (economic, social and cultural) to understand the strategies employed in both staying put and successful migration. It suggests that individuals can compensate for the absence of one type of capital by leveraging another type; however, it also suggests that, in order to understand mobility space between CEE and Nordic countries, the presence of formalised welfare provision in Nordic countries is an important aspect. The focus of the article is on single mothers, who are considered to be one of the most vulnerable groups in Central and Eastern European societies. Based on 25 interviews with Estonian single mothers, the article suggests that migration often occurs due to a lack of alternative options.

The aim of the study was to investigate the communication process between the tourist office and the client. The paper characterizes the basic definitions and selected models of the theory of the communication process. The survey was conducted in the period from February to April 2020, on a group of 76 clients of the selected tourist office. The respondents were selected at random. A study with the use of an interview questionnaire was also conducted. Its purpose was to answer questions about efficient communication between tourist office employees and their clients. The conversation was direct and individual. The satisfaction with the quality of the communication process between the tourist office employee and the client was determined, as well as the prospects for further cooperation. A smoothly running communication process between tourist office employees and the clients is very important. Every effort should be made to minimize the impact of potential barriers, so that both parties can achieve the intended benefits and will be satisfied with such cooperation. Based on the research, the clients were divided into individual groups. Each group consisted of people who share common personal characteristics and a specific approach to service. In the interview, the topic of a “difficult client” was also raised.

Opis:
The diversity of language etiquette forms has already been noted by linguists (the author presents the evolution of the way it has been defined in their works). However, this issue does not appear very often in the works of scholars. The article aims at presenting several different types of politeness that have been defined on the basis of various different criteria. For example the substance of expression, which involves d istinguishing between two types of politeness: one expressed in language and the other expressed by non-linguistic means. Another criterion refers to social commonness and according to this criterion we can distinguish between elementary politeness, courtesy and formal etiquette. Diversity of language etiquette can be regarded as resulting form the pragmatic features of a speaker. Culture-based differentiation enables us to talk about ‘traditional’ and ‘new’ politeness. According to the author, teaching different types of language etiquette is an important part of teaching Polish as a foreign language.

The aim of the study presented was to verify empirically a conception of workaholism as a multidimensional syndrome. The study also investigated the notion of ‘functional’ and ‘dysfunctional’ types of workaholic, on the basis of the participants’ cognitive evaluations of their quality of life. The research group comprised Polish managers who had graduated with, or were studying to attain, a Master’s degree in Business Administration. The 137 participants completed a set of questionnaires that were based on five different research tools. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the theory that workaholism has a three-dimensional structure that includes behavioural, cognitive, and affective dimensions. Using cluster analysis, three types of worker were identified, two of which represented types of workaholic with different scores for the dimensions of workaholism and for aspects of quality of life. The research demonstrated that workaholism is a three-dimensional construct. It enabled the integration of different perspectives and also confirmed that dysfunctional and functional types of workaholic exist. Furthermore, this paper provides practical insights about workaholism for practitioners of human resources that can be used in the selection and evaluation of employees.

Humanlabor is one of the main factors influencing the nature, level and results of business process. Development of the company depends on the diligence and productivity of employees. Staffing processes preceding the acquisition, selection and recruitment. The onset of the employee's work is a process of adaptation. The employee, however, a new job must first be familiar with the work tasks and environments. Výsledkomeffective adaptation is an understanding of business goals, identify new employee with the company, quickly achieving the objectives of the individual and group, improving workingrelationships. Objective - Due to the increasing share of Ukrainians in the Polish labor market, an analysis concerning the evaluation of trust levels exhibited by Polish and Ukrainian employees of Polish organizations was conducted. The assessment serves to merely outline the issue. Further studies on a more representative sample ought to be continued.Approach - The paper is based upon the review of literature regarding the scope of social capital and results of a pilot study conducted with the use of a questionnaire. The pilot encompassed 84 respondents. The questionnaire was developed on the basis of tools applied by other authors. The study encompassed Polish and Ukrainian employees due to the increasing share of the latter in the Polish labor market.Results - Results indicate that the employees, regardless of their nationality, manifest a rather high trust level. Respondents of both nationalities believe that their colleagues are friendly and eagerly share knowledge. The results indicate that they are aware of their duties and need not be controlled and overseen. However, they openly admit that their organizations do not shy from gossip and criticism, which begs for more scrutiny.Limitations/ research implications - The limitation of the present paper can be seen in the non-representative character of the sample. Moreover, it would be beneficial to expand the questionnaire in order to gain more insight into the issue.Originality/ value - Despite the limitations, the results are interesting due to the increasing number of Ukrainian employees in Polish organizations.

The paper addresses an issue that is usually hardly noticed, but some may have become aware of during the COVID-19 pandemic: There are various situations in which texts justifiably seem to be missing. However, the lack of texts does not necessarily affect all participants of that non-existent communicative situation. What these situations have in common is that there are apparently no texts that fulfill the situational expectations. Nevertheless, it is possible to draw conclusions from the resulting voids. From our point of view, such implicatures should definitely be considered from a text- linguistic perspective, especially if one understands the communicative practice of a society in all its facets as part of an empirically approachable textual reality. Thus, on the basis of selected examples, we will show that under certain circumstances even ‘no texts’ do indeed ‘express’ something which we can infer based on knowledge and experience, on the one hand, depending on the specific reading situation, and on the other hand, in connection with certain socially relevant discourses.

Mutyzm selektywny jest jednostką nozologiczną budzącą od lat kontrowersje. Jest wprawdzie w klasyfikacjach DSM – V oraz ICD – 10 zaliczane do zaburzeń lękowych, ale wyróżnia się różne jego rodzaje, takie jak mutyzm wybiórczy sytuacyjny (MWS), lękowy (MWL), traumatyczny (MWT), opozycyjno-buntowniczy (MWO-B). Wielopostaciowość MW sprawia, że jego terapia powinna być dostosowana do specyfiki zaburzenia. Jej efektywność nie została potwierdzona w sposób naukowy.
Selective mutism is a nosological unit that has been considered controversial for many years. It is characterized in DSM – V and ICD as one of anxiety disorders, but several of its types can be distinguished, such as situational selective mutism, anxiety selective mutism, traumatic selective mutism, oppositional defiant selective mutism. Multi-dimensionality of selective mutism contributes to the fact that its treatment should be adjusted to the characteristics of the disorder. The effectiveness of the treatment has not been scientifically proven.

Opis:
The Šventoji is a river of the Baltic Upland. The catchment of the Šventoji is teardrop-shaped up to 50–60 km wide, and 160 km long. Most of the catchment is situated in the Aukštaičiai Upland and the Western Aukštaičiai Plateau. The surface of the catchment was formed by Quaternary ice sheets that deposited a moraine layer 100–200 m, the thick topographic relief dating to the late Nemunas (Weichselian) Glaciation phases. The eastern part of catchment was formed in the East Lithuanian Phase, the middle part in the South Lithuanian Phase and the western part in the Middle Lithuanian Phase. The catchment surface is composed of three different genetic relief types: the ice-marginal deposits of the East Lithuanian Phase, represented by small hills; the middle part of the Šventoji catchment, transected by a few ice-marginal ridges of the South Lithuanian Phase which form small hills; and the western part of the catchment is transected by a few asymmetric ridges of the Middle Lithuanian Phase. The eastern part dominantly comprises ice-marginal deposits with glaciolacustrine and glaciofluvial intercalation; the middle part comprises variable glaciolacustrine, basal moraine and ice-marginal deposits; the western part by basal moraine and ice-marginal deposits.

The article aims at discussing the strategies of maintaining Polish traditions in different types of families leaving abroad: migration families, disconnected single‑parent families, broken families, mixed families leaving in a country of one of the parents’ origin or a country foreign to both parents, as well as multinational patchwork families. In each type there are certain difficulties in transmitting the Polish language and culture, but they are caused by different reasons. The social status also determines the used code (a limited or developed one). It results in great language diversity among children living abroad and determines their attitudes towards Polishness.

Opis:
The space, apart from the indexing criteria, is a specific subject of management. The division of the area into individual parts requaires to consider legal restrictions. Those legal restrictions defines “susceptibility” or “resistivity” on reassignment. The largest amount of space which is also the most susceptible on the repurposing is agricultural space, then forestry space. Susceptibility of forestry space refers to road and rail infrustructure.

The Polish family law has developed three types of adoption: incomplete, full and total. Each of them is a reply to the arising new threat of the good of the child. Simultaneously each of them indeed influences the identity of the child. As a result of the preparation a civil status of the child is changing. The adoption is connected with secrecy. Originally it was firmly stressed. At present the doctrine as well as practitioners think that holding on to secrecy is not necessarily purposeful. The presented legal structures give rise to a series of ethical dilemmas. Firstly, the question arises about supporting biological parents in leaving the child in their family. The law does not regulate such efforts. It only orders “to wait” six weeks for making the decision on adoption by the mother of the child. Secondly, the similar question arises on the part of adopting parents. What motivation do they have? Is this good of the child or their own good alone? Is combining these goods in one act possible? Also the question arises with reference to respecting the religious membership of the child. As a result of the adoption the surname of the child is changed. Even a change of the child’s first name is possible. The religious identity remains unchanged. The practice shows that family relations with the adopted child are not always successful. The rich case law proves that resolving adoption is not always possible.

In 2009, the economic crisis fully manifested in virtually all areas of the real economy. The economy in each country, including Slovakia, lost on its dynamics, which resulted in the reduction of production and this had a major impact on reducing the number of jobs and subsequent dismissals. This development has resulted in a worldwide recession in many countries has caused a number of serious macroeconomic imbalances. These imbalances include high unemployment. Core: One of the phenomena accompanying the market mechanism is the unemployment rate, which at the present time we accompanied at every step. With this concept we encounter in everyday life, whether in media or touches us directly. Healthy development of each economy, in addition, economic growth should entail an acceptable rate of unemployment, respectively. natural rate of unemployment. With increased unemployment, the economy loses the goods and services, which could produce in a given period, unemployed people, and this loss is at an average labor productivity can be easily quantified. Part of what the economy during the period of increased unemployment comes as funding unemployment benefits. Those on one side to create the conditions to the man who lost his job, he continues to live a dignified life, but on the other hand, these benefits are considerable burden on the Treasury, which may result in a widening budget deficit. These economic losses from the period of increased unemployment are accompanied by examples of waste of resources in a modern economy. Economic crisis is a very difficult problem not only in economic but also social aspects. For there is no recipe that standard should apply to all countries equally. Therefore, the role of each government in the country irrespective of its political orientation to ensure the citizens of his country reduce risks and impacts of the global economic crisis. Not every country has the same economic potential, therefore, address these issues in each country individually and the time difference.

The subject of the paper is an analysis of the type of clouds in Poland in 1996–2020 on the low, middle and high levels. Daily data on cloud types and the cloudiness of the low-level from 36 IMWM-NRI stations were used. In the analysed multi-year period, the highest share of low-level clouds was observed (56%), followed by mid-level clouds (23%), and the lowest share of high-level clouds (21%). There was a slight decrease in the share of low-level clouds, and an increase in the share of middle and high levels clouds in the analysed period. The share of low-level clouds was highest in the cool season and during the afternoon and night hours; it was lowest in the summer, and early morning and evening hours. The middle and high levels had the highest share in the summer and during the early evening and early morning hours. These levels were least frequent in the winter, and around noon for the mid-level, and at night for the high-level. The Cumulus humilis and Stratocumulus cugen clouds were most frequently observed on the low-level during low cloudiness. Stratus fractus and Cumulonimbus capillatus were most frequently observed during total and high cloudiness on the low-level. In the warm season and the daytime, clouds are more isolated; in the cool season, they form more dense cloud layers.
