Соответствующие исследования касались роста ягнят ярочек и баранчиков третьего поколения синтетически выводимых мясных линий овец. В обеих линиях генетическое участие показывали польские мериносы, велькопольская овца и восточно-фризская овца, а сверх того в группе А овцы трех мясных пород: Берришон дю Шер, Иль де Франс и Тексель (белоголовая линия), а в группе Б овцы породы Суффольк (черноголовая линия). Ягнята обеих линий характеризовались в сравнении с польским мериносом на 12% высшими привесами тела в период от рождения до возраста 28 дней. Помеси от черноголовой линии (75% генетического участия породы Суффольк) отличались высокими привесами, особенно в период 28-100 дней (около 300 г в сутки). Тушки ягнят-помесей от обеих линий более мясистые и меньше ожиренные, чем тушки мериносовых ягнят.
The respective investigations concerned the growth of ewe- and ram-lambs originating from the third generation of synthetically bred meat-type lines of sheep. In both lines the genetic share showed Polish Merino sheep, Wielkopolska sheep and East-Friesian sheep and moreover in the A group - the sheep of three meat-type lines: Berrichon du Cher, Ile de France and Texel ("white-head" line) and in the В group - the sheep of Suffolk breed ("black-head" line). Lambs from the both lines showed, as compared to the Polish Merino sheep,the body weight gains by 12% higher in the period from birth to the age of 25 days. The crosses from the "black-head" line (75% of share of the Suffolk breed) distinguished themselves with higher body weight gains, particularly in the period from 28 to 100 days (about 30 g a day). The carcasses of lambs-crosses in both lines were more meaty and less fatty than those of Merino lambs.

The quadratic performance index in a fixed rectangle for the Roesser model of two-dimensional, linear, stationary, discrete systems is considered. Using a method of transformation for the System and the performance index, the problem of finding the optimal sequence of control vectors is solved by a method of mathematical programming. The simple numerical example illustrates the presented method.

Let f(z), $z = re^{iθ}$, be analytic in the finite disc |z| < R. The growth properties of f(z) are studied using the mean values $I_δ(r)$ and the iterated mean values $N_{δ,k}(r)$ of f(z). A convexity result for the above mean values is obtained and their relative growth is studied using the order and type of f(z).

Opis:
Sidon proved the inequality named after him in 1939. It is an upper estimate for the integral norm of a linear combination of trigonometric Dirichlet kernels expressed in terms of the coefficients. Since the estimate has many applications for instance in $L^1$ convergence problems and summation methods with respect to trigonometric series, newer and newer improvements of the original inequality has been proved by several authors. Most of them are invariant with respect to the rearrangement of the coefficients. Although the newest results are close to best possible, no nontrivial lower estimate has been given so far. The aim of this paper is to give the best rearrangement invariant function of coefficients that can be used in a Sidon type inequality. We also show that it is equivalent to an Orlicz type and a Hardy type norm. Examples of applications are also given.

The dual of a Banach space X is of weak type p if and only if the entropy numbers of an r-nuclear operator with values in a Banach space of weak type q belong to the Lorentz sequence space $ℓ_{s,r}$ with 1/s + 1/p + 1/q = 1 + 1/r (0 < r < 1, 1 ≤ p, q ≤ 2). It is enough to test this for Y = X*. This extends results of Carl, König and Kühn.

Consider a nonlinear differential-functional equation (1) Au + f(x,u(x),u) = 0 where $Au := ∑_{i,j=1}^m a_{ij}(x) (∂²u)/(∂x_i ∂x_j)$, $x=(x_1,...,x_m) ∈ G ⊂ ℝ^m$, G is a bounded domain with $C^{2+α}$ (0 < α < 1) boundary, the operator A is strongly uniformly elliptic in G and u is a real $L^p(G̅)$ function. For the equation (1) we consider the Dirichlet problem with the boundary condition (2) u(x) = h(x) for x∈ ∂G. We use Chaplygin's method [5] to prove that problem (1), (2) has at least one regular solution in a suitable class of functions. Using the method of upper and lower functions, coupled with the monotone iterative technique, H. Amman [3], D. H. Sattinger [13] (see also O. Diekmann and N. M. Temme [6], G. S. Ladde, V. Lakshmikantham, A. S. Vatsala [8], J. Smoller [15]) and I. P. Mysovskikh [11] obtained similar results for nonlinear differential equations of elliptic type. A special case of (1) is the integro-differential equation $Au + f(x,u(x), ∫_G u(x)dx) = 0$. Interesting results about existence and uniqueness of solutions for this equation were obtained by H. Ugowski [17].

We consider a generalized Hardy operator $Tf(x) = ϕ(x) ʃ_{0}^{x} ψfv$. For T to be bounded from a weighted Banach function space (X,v) into another, (Y,w), it is always necessary that the Muckenhoupt-type condition $ℬ = sup_{R>0} ∥ϕχ_{(R,∞)}∥_{Y}∥ψχ_{(0,R)}∥_{X'} < ∞$ be satisfied. We say that (X,Y) belongs to the category M(T) if this Muckenhoupt condition is also sufficient. We prove a general criterion for compactness of T from X to Y when (X,Y) ∈ M(T) and give an estimate for the distance of T from the finite rank operators. We apply the results to Lorentz spaces and characterize pairs of Lorentz spaces which fall into M (T).

Given a positive measure μ in $ℝ^n$, there is a natural variant of the noncentered Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator $M_{μ}f(x) = sup_{x ∈ B} 1/μ(B) ʃ_{B} |f|dμ$, where the supremum is taken over all balls containing the point x. In this paper we restrict our attention to rotation invariant, strictly positive measures μ in $ℝ^n$. $(s_{jk}: j,k = 0,1,...)$ be a double sequence of real numbers which is summable (C,1,1) to a finite limit. We give necessary and sufficient conditions under which $(s_{jk})$ converges in Pringsheim's sense. These conditions are satisfied if $(s_{jk})$ is slowly decreasing in certain senses defined in this paper. Among other things we deduce the following Tauberian theorem of Landau and Hardy type: If $(s_{jk})$ is summable (C,1,1) to a finite limit and there exist constants $n_1 > 0$ and H such that $jk(s_{jk} - s_{j-1,k} - s_{j-1,k} + s_{j-1,k-1}) ≥ -H$, $j(s_{jk} - s_{j-1, k}) ≥ -H$ and $k(s_{jk} - s_{j,k-1}) ≥ -H$ whenever $j,k > n_1$, then $(s_{jk})$ converges. We always mean convergence in Pringsheim's sense. Our method is suitable to obtain analogous Tauberian results for double sequences of complex numbers or for those in an ordered linear space over the real numbers.
