The article presents the model research on impacts exerted by means of transport on the structures. In modelling the dynamics of transport systems the dynamic properties of the ground forming the foundation soil for tracks or roadways have been taken into account. The ground has been modelled as an elastic half-space. The dynamics of an infinite mass band being in contact with an elastic half-space has been investigated. As part of the research on impacts exerted by means of transport on structures a model of a problem has been examined where an automotive vehicle, representing a concentrated force in motion, is in contact with a roadway described as a rigid body coupled with an elastic half-space. It has been demonstrated that a surface (Rayleigh) wave propagates in the ground, being a continuous (elastic) medium, and acts on a structure modelled as a rigid body. The research results have been presented in the form of vertical and horizontal transmittances of the ground for different frequencies of loading with different unit forces.

Opis:
The procedure for calculation of a car maximal acceleration during speeding up with changing shifts of a gearbox in dependence on several independent parameters has been presented in the paper.  The parameters taken into consideration are the angle of a road slope and the additional vehicle load. The maximal acceleration for investigated vehicle category has been calculdted on the basis of many numerical simulations. During these simulations the dynamics of vehicle motion has been modelled for different road conditions. In order to approximate the results of acceleration the power polynomials were applied.  The least sąuare method has been used in calculations of polynomial coefficients. The results of modelling of the vehicles dynamics concern two passenger cars and one heavy duty car. Simulations of speeding up were obtained using the model of vehicle dynamics. Especially, model of vehicle, the traction characteristic of the passenger car with SI engine, the maximal driving force on  wheels during vehicle acceleration calculated on the basis of traction characteristic,   the maximal acceleration of the passenger cars and according to the model of vehicle dynamics during speeding up with changing shifts of a gearbox in dependence on different parameters of road slope and vehicle load are presented in the paper.

The aim of this work is the experimental study of the weight loss impact on the properties of flying objects. Work is hased on the results of resonance tests of the helicopter, gliders and military aircraft. In the presented flying objeets group the possible occurrence of weight losses during the flight are up to 50%. The paper posed the following questions: How big can be, in practice, the weight loss during the flight? To which resonance the mass loss has the greatest impact? How and by what rules the map of resonances changes? Does in the process of weight loss there are other, worth-knowing events? Gliders, airplanes and a helicopter were investigated in the Resonance Test Laboratory of Institute of Aviation. The author has organized and for over 20 years led the Resonance Test Laboratory at the Institute of Aviation, in which he made or directed the investigations of dozens of aircraft, gliders, helicopters and their elements and components. Effect of weight loss on the flying objeets properties is one of several ,,unusual" research topics phenomena, which the author observed during a standard resonance tests. The resonance of the mode shape of Jantar 15 glider, comparison of the relative increase in the frequencies of the resonances with mode shape for SZD-50 Jantar 15-2 and IS-2 Revelation gliders, results of investigations of the underwing stores loss of mass impact on the „Pattem" aircraft resonances freąuencies, the resonance frequency of the 1-22 Iryda aircraft are presented in the paper. A dynamic response of a semi-trailer suspension to a real road profile under two different loads was investigated in this study. The trailer was a low loader for transporting heavy and large loads which configuration could be adjusted to the current needs. During the described investigation the vehicle was composed of: detachable gooseneck, maximally extended low bed and 5 hydraulically steered axles comprised 2-axle and 3-axle assemblies. The experiments were performed for unloaded and loaded with 60 tons trailer, that was equal to maximum trailer pay load. Acceleration measurements at unsprung and sprung parts of the vehicle were applied. As a test surface a railway track crossing was chosen. Acceleration time series were analysed by the means of power spectral density. The isolation of free vibration and forced vibration frequencies and effectiveness of suspension damping over wide frequency range was done. Two characteristic signal bands were identified. In the frequency range up to 10 Hz vehicle vibration energy decreased for the load increase for both, sprung and unsprung parts. In contrast, in the range between 10 and 25 Hz at higher load increase of vibration energy was noticed, however only at unsprung mass. Data analysis revealed complexity of vehicle vertical acceleration as a response to the road profile. Nevertheless, it allowed for estimation of the trailer dynamic loads under real road conditions.

The increase of the role of rail transport in comparison with road and air ones was an important task for transport engineering in western Europe and Japan in the 1970s. Now the problem is not completely closed but the majority of the establishments formed in the beginning were successively solved. The main assumptions could be grouped into environmental protection and sustainability, decreasing the travel time connected with accessibility, safety, comfort for passengers, considering freight transport, as well. The high speed of the moving train was the main criteria of any engineer approach i.e. from the point of view of energy safety, limiting pollution, ability to transport thousands of people and tons of cargo. High Speed Rail - (HSR) means the speed between 250 to 400 km/h. This divides tracks into two groups: ordinary tracks and special ones, which results in two possible ways: adopting existing tracks or building new railways. Recently the program of HSR has been decided to put in motion in Poland. The situation here was very complicated. Many abandons such as complete lack of road highways, backwardness in air transport as well as rail transport, which means abandons in track conditions and rolling stock. At least, actually no existing haulage transport. In those circumstances, any rational first step was to be taken i.e. a technical diagnosis and an estimation of the existing railway system including culverts and bridges as important elements of trucks. The paper presented here contains a short survey of statical and dynamical field test results and FEM analyses as an extension to the train speeds 1.2ź350 = 420 km/h.

This paper presents method of flight dynamics modelling for aircraft encountering trailing vortices generated by other airplane. The mathematical model of 6-DOF spatial motion was applied. Aerodynamic forces produced by a wing were calculated using strip theory method – the wing was divided into a series of chordwise strips and contribution of each strip in these forces was determined. Local angle of attack for each strip was determined taking into account an influence of trailing vortices. Exemplary results of simulations for the case of two straight vortices encountered by aircraft are shown. Incremental contributions to aerodynamic forces and moments of all strips are summed. Model and description of trailing vortices, induced velocity inside the vortex, induced velocity outside the vortex, model of motion dynamics, equations of motion, airplane forces, moments acting on the airplane, aerodynamic forces and moments, trailing vortex effect on the airplane are presented in the paper. In particular, pair of straight trailing vortices, induced velocity for Rankine vortex, strip model of the wing, angle of attack for the strip, airplane pitch angle, bank angle, altitude, trajectory are illustrated.

The paper presents the problem of dynamic criterion of stability loss of industrial hall with internal transport. The analysis was performed with finite element method. As a result of the calculation the relationship of eigenfrequency and axial compressive force was presented. On the basis of these results fundamental recommendations formulated for designers of steel halls with internal transport.
W referacie przedstawiono zagadnienie dynamicznej utraty stateczności hali stalowej z transportem wewnętrznym. Analizę przeprowadzono metodą elementów skończonych. Jako wynik obliczeń przedstawiono zależność częstości drgań własnych konstrukcji od siły ściskającej w słupach konstrukcji. Na podstawie wyników analizy sformułowano podstawowe zalecenia dla projektantów konstrukcji hal stalowych z transportem wewnętrznym.

Results are presented for clear-water scour experiments at a vertical-wall abutment where the obstacle was modified with slots or roughening elements as flow-altering countermeasures against the erosion process. The laboratory campaign comprehended an initial experiment with an unprotected obstacle, two experiments with slots above and beneath the non-scoured bed level, respectively, and one experiment with a roughened abutment. The repeatability of the experiments was checked and found satisfactory. The measured data set consisted of (i) scour depth with time; (ii) geometry of the erosion hole; and (iii) sediment motion pattern at several evolution stages of the process. A novel feature of the work was the attempt to combine evidence on the scour depth and that on sediment motion so as to shed light on the mechanism of scour reduction by the countermeasures tested. It is argued that this strategy might furnish guidelines for future extensive investigations of scour countermeasures, aimed at finding optimal design solutions.

In the case of producing large amounts of hydrogenous gas, currently there are no problems related to basic techniques of hydrogen production and distribution, but the main technological problem will consists of storing it in order to regulate the difference between permanent or increasing gas production and seasonally modulated gas consumption. The most efficient and most inexpensive method of storing large amounts of hydrogen is to inject them in geological formations like aquifers, depleted gas reservoirs, or salt caverns (Zittel and Wurster 1996). The cost is of order $ 3.5 per 1 GJ (Taylor et al. 1986). Several underground storages of hydrogen (USH) or town gas exist in the word, as for instance, Teeside in the UK, in Texas, in Russia, Kiel in Germany, Lobodice in Czechoslovakia, Beynes - an ex-storage in France. During several tens of years the storage of hydrogen was considered as something deja-vu, to be similar to that of natural gas, which is amplified by the chemical inactivity of hydrogen and its very low solvability in groundwater [Bulatov 1979; Carden and Paterson 1979; Lindblom 1985; Paterson 1983]. Nevertheless, quite unusual behaviour of UHS was discovered by in situ monitoring of the gas composition extracted during the cycle "production" which followed the cycle "injection". These observations (Smigai et al. 1990; Buzek et al. 1994) revealed high variations of gas composition in time and space. In particular, a significant reduction in the H2 and CO2 contents and a simultaneous increase in CH4 contents were observed in the Lobodice town gas storage facility (Smigai et al. 1990). Similar phenomena were recorded in Beynes. After several months of injection and storage, at the beginning of the cycle "production" the twofold increase of the methane contents in the reservoir gas and the twofold reduction of the CO2 CO contents was observed. The contents of hydrogen decreased by 1.4. The explanation to these observations has been done in (Buzek et al. 1994) in terms of the in situ methane generators by methanogenic bacteria which catalyse the reaction between hydrogen and CO2/CO, by producing methane and water. Further observations have revealed even more unusual effects within the storage facility, such as creating a spatial alternation of the areas saturated preferably by hydrogen or methane. This proved an in situ natural separation of chemical components in space. Thus, we are dealing with a natural reactor which partially destroys CO2 and H2 and doubles the mass of methane. It is clear that the problem is important for industry as it concerns both the energy sector and ecology. The resulting economical efficiency of such a process can be estimated only after the physical and mathematical modeling of all possible scenarios of the reservoir behaviour. The development of such a model represents the main objective of this paper.

Since safety of navigation is related to the stability performance of a ship, the transverse stability is routinely calculated and measured. One of the crucial experimental approach is a roll decay test. Although, an obtained result of the roll decay test carried out on the full-scale ship needs to be compared to a benchmark enabling an estimation of the relevant stability. Nowadays such a benchmark is just based on the simplified GM-based IMO-recommended formula. This research aims at the more sophisticated method of ship’s natural period of roll estimation and thus her stability assessment. The CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technique is applied and the result of the free roll simulation is compared to the solution of a roll equation. The one degree-of-freedom roll equation is applied with regard to the nonlinear ship righting moment and the nonlinear damping moment obtained according to Ikeda’s method. The six degrees-of-freedom simulation of ship’s roll decay test was carried out by the use of FlowVision code utilizing the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equation with regard to the turbulent flows based on the eddy viscosity concept. The semi-empirical k-ε turbulence model was applied. Thereby, the CFD-based approach allows to get rid of any assumptions regarding the value of the damping coefficient, which is an advantage over the roll equation based approach.

Purpose: Comparison of the computed characteristics and physiological measurement of ion transport through transmembrane proteins could be a useful method to assess the quality of protein structures. Simulations of ion transport should be detailed but also time-efficient. Methods: The most accurate method could be Molecular Dynamics (MD), which is very time-consuming, hence is not used for this purpose. The model which includes ion-ion interactions and reduces the simulation time by excluding water, protein and lipid molecules is Brownian Dynamics (BD). In this paper a new computer program for BD simulation of the ion transport is presented. We evaluate two methods for calculating the pore accessibility (round and irregular shape) and two representations of ion sizes (van der Waals diameter and one voxel). Results: Ion Move Brownian Dynamics (IMBD) was tested with two nanopores: alpha-hemolysin and potassium channel KcsA. In both cases during the simulation an ion passed through the pore in less than 32 ns. Although two types of ions were in solution (potassium and chloride), only ions which agreed with the selectivity properties of the channels passed through the pores. Conclusions: IMBD is a new tool for the ion transport modelling, which can be used in the simulations of wide and narrow pores.

Prawidłowo funkcjonujące i rozwijające się miasto wymaga sprawnego transportu. W ruchu miejskim dominujący jest transport pasażerski, na który składa się transport publiczny i indywidualny. Transport publiczny powinien być jednak konkurencyjny w stosunku do indywidualnych środków transportu. Jednym z elementów zapewniających sprawne funkcjonowanie transportu publicznego jest jego infrastruktura. W artykule przedstawiono analizę funkcjonowania wybranego fragmentu infrastruktury transportu zbiorowego. Istnieje wiele programów służących do symulacji procesów transportowych. Ze względu na istotne podobieństwo zachodzących procesów w pętli autobusowej i transporcie wewnętrznym postanowiono wykorzystać do rozwiązania problemu program Enterprise Dynamics. W tym celu opracowano przy wykorzystaniu programu Enterprise Dynamics model analizowanego obiektu i na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań symulacyjnych przeprowadzono szereg analiz dotyczących jego funkcjonowania.
A properly functioning and developing city requires efficient transportation. Urban transport is dominated by passenger transport, which consists of public and private transport. However, public transport should be competitive with individual means of transport. One of the elements ensuring smooth functioning of public transport is its infrastructure. The article analyzes the functioning of the chosen part of the public transport infrastructure. For this purpose, Enterprise Dynamics software was used to develop the model of the analyzed object. The paper presents the results related to the simulation of dust-separating tangential cyclones: single cyclones of various geometries, and an axial multi-cyclone with fixed geometries and components. Its goal was to apply low-cost analyses for cyclones in industrial realization. Therefore, the presented research was applied with simulation methodology as a problem of Computational Fluid Dynamics. The models were analyzed using SolidWorks Flow Simulation software. The presented dust collectors are real-life objects, applied in industrial facilities. For a multi-cyclone, the increase in the number of blades, from 5 to 8, together with the change in the angle of a blade’s pitch i.e., 30° and 45°, resulted in dust concentration along the internal walls from just 10% for 5 blades up to c.a. 37.5% for 6 blades, and c.a. 50% for 8 blades, whereas the dust concentration in the device’s central part equals c.a. 20% for the last option. The model validation draws attention to the potential applicability of the software in flow issues alongside common and more complex numerical environments.

The article presents the assessment of the possibilities of applying GPS receiver for the measurement and acquisition of the longitudinal velocity of automobile in the investigations of longitudinal dynamics of automobile. For many years for the measurement of the longitudinal velocity Correvit-L sensors are applied. Major simplification of the measurement of the velocity with the GPS receiver, compared with correlational-optical sensors Correvit-L is giving the possibility to faster prepare the automobile for examinations. The more so as only recently GPS receivers with 10 Hz sampling rate are available. In the paper is shortly described the software specially designed for the measurements that makes it possible to simultaneously measure both the longitudinal velocity signal from GPS receiver and from Correvit-L sensor in real time. Furthermore, the application of the measurement of the velocity is presented on the basis of such road tests as the attempt of accelerating through the following gears, the attempt of free deceleration and the attempt of braking according to ECE 13 Regulation. On the basis of the mentioned manoeuvers the characteristics of the vehicle’s acceleration and dynamic coefficient, rolling and air drag coefficient and the braking deceleration were determined. The paper shows also some problems connected with applying GPS receiver to measure longitudinal velocity of the automobile.

Opis:
Heat transport phenomena in the framework of continuum media mechanics is presented. Equations for conservation laws and finite volume numerical method based on these equations are discussed. This method is the foundation of the FLUENT computational fluid dynamics (CFD) package which was used for calculations of the temperature distribution in several examples: steady and evolutional states for single and multiphase systems. Comparison with analytical solutions was carried out. This allows verification of the FLUENT results for various boundary conditions. Independent procedure based on the method of lines was applied for 1D cases and compared with FLUENT and/or analytical results. Formulation of a special type inverse problem for heat equation was given. Analytical solution of the steady-state inverse problem in 1D geometry was developed. Analogues case for 3D geometry was tested using FLUENT. This led to the optimization problem with clear and well defined optimum. This result suggests that in similar but more general inverse problems global optimum may exist which justifies the inverse problem methodology.
Zaprezentowano zjawiska transportu ciepła w kontekście mechaniki ośrodków ciągłych. Omówiono równania wyrażające prawa zachowania oraz metodę numeryczną objętości skończonych bazującą na tych prawach. Metoda ta będaca podstawa pakietu FLUENT, który służy do obliczeń w dynamice płynów (CFD, compuational fluid dynamics) została użyta do symulacji rozkładu temperatury w kilku przykładach ilustrujących stany ewolucyjne i stacjonarne dla jedno- i wielo-fazowych układów. Przeprowadzono porównanie z wybranymi rozwiązaniami analitycznymi. Pozwoliło to na weryfikacje wyników z FLUENT-a dla różnych warunków brzegowych. Niezależna procedura oparta o metodę linii dla przypadku jednowymiarowego została wykorzystana do porównania z wynikami z FLUENT-a oraz wynikami analitycznymi. Sformułowano pewien specjalny przypadek zagadnienia odwrotnego dla równania ciepła i przedstawiono jego analityczne rozwiązanie. Analogiczny przypadek w geometrii trójwymiarowej przetestowano numerycznie z użyciem FLUENT-a. Prowadzi to do problemu optymalizacji z dobrze określonym minimum globalnym. Wynik ten sugeruje, że w podobnych, ale bardziej ogólnych zagadnieniach odwrotnych może istnieć optimum, co usprawiedliwia metodologie zagadnienia odwrotnego w takich sytuacjach.

Description of dynamics occurring during the passage of a rail vehicle is a complex problem, and their mathematical relations are considered in several different aspects such as: interaction of normal force on a beam with fixed and variable cross-section, body, trolley and wheelset displacement and consideration of wheel-rail contact and other phenomena occurring in the contact surface, which include adhesion and creepage. The article presents the effects of work on the issues of normal force at the contact point of the wheel and rail. A mathematical model describing the dynamics of a rail vehicle was defined, determining the normal, transverse and longitudinal force appearing in the wheel-rail contact zone. Variations in the value of the normal force exerted by the wheelset on the rail are the quantity on which the parameters occurring in contact between the wheel and the rail depend. The obtained results from computer simulations show that the normal force is a variable parameter depending on the sign and magnitude of forces occurring between individual blocks of the rail vehicle during the movement. The results obtained will be used in further scientific work devoted to the contact problems.

We discuss various models of ion transport through cell membrane channels. Recent experimental data shows that sizes of some ion channels are compared to those of ions and that only few ions may be simultaneously in any single channel. Theoretical description of ion transport in such channels should therefore take into account stochastic fluctuations and interactions between ions and between ions and channel proteins. This is not satisfied by macroscopic continuum models based on the Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations. More realistic descriptions of ion transport are offered by microscopic molecular and Brownian dynamics. We present a derivation of the Poisson-Nernst-Planck equations. We also review some recent models such as single-file diffusion and Markov chains of interacting ions (boundary driven lattice gases).Such models take into account discrete and stochastic nature of ion transport and specifically interactions between ions in ion channels.

A mathematical model for simulation of icing dedicated to simulation of ice accretion and its effects on aircraft aerodynamic characteristics in conditions of rime icing is presented. Pure rime icing occurs at lower temperatures than glaze icing and results in higher roughness of the surface of deposited ice. The model accounts for increased surface roughness, in terms of equivalent sand grain roughness, caused by deposited rime ice, which influences generation and dispersion of heat in the boundary layer. Increase of surface roughness is determined by analytical models created upon experimental data obtained in icing wind tunnels. Increased generation of heat is a result of increased tangential stress on the surface and is quantified in the temperature recovery factor determined numerically by a CFD solver. Effects of surface roughness on the intensity of forced convection are quantified by application of Colburn analogy between heat and momentum transfer in the boundary layer, which allows assessment of heat transfer coefficient for known friction coefficient, determined by CFD. The computational method includes determination of the surface distribution of mass of captured water in icing conditions. The model of freezing of captured water accounts for generation of heat due to latent heat of captured water droplets, temperature recovery in boundary layer and kinetic energy of captured droplets. The sinks of heat include forced convection, heating of super cooled droplets, conduction of heat through the ice layer and sublimation. The mathematical model is implemented as user-defined function module in ANSYS Fluent solver. The results include effects of deposited ice, including increased surface roughness on aerodynamic characteristics of an airfoil.

Grain size studies of sediments from beaches in the region from Mandapam to Kanyakumari, divided into 5 sectors, indicate that sediments are unimodal to polymodal in nature, coarse to fine grained, moderately to poorly sorted, and positively-negatively skewed in character. The inference to be drawn from these studies is that the variation in sedimentological parameters is governed by fluvial input, wave dynamics, and littoral transport of the sediments. Bivariant plots show that the Mandapam and Kanyakumari sectors can be classified as beach environments, whereas the Tuticorin and Valinokkam sectors come under the influence of riverine environments and the dune environment in the Manappad sector. The CM pattern of all five sectors shows a clustered distribution of sediments in the PQ and QR segments, indicating a graded mode of deposition. Visher diagrams depict a wave shadow environment for the Mandapam sector, whereas the Valinokkam, Tuticorin and Manappad sectors show double saltation populations characteristic of beaches, and the Kanyakumari sector is characterized by a more truncated population characteristic of a plunge zone, which is a high-energy environment.

Przedmiotem opracowania jest zaprezentowanie możliwości zastosowania metod numerycznej mechaniki płynów do analizowania parametrów wydajnościowych związanych z procesem hydrotransportu w rurociągu mieszaniny popiołowo-wodnej do podsadzania wyrobisk. Celem pracy jest zidentyfikowanie wartości ciśnień roboczych panujących w poszczególnych odcinkach analizowanej instalacji podsadzkowej w warunkach hydrotransportu gęstej zawiesiny popiołów lotnych. Analizą objęto rzeczywiste parametry geometryczne rurociągu podsadzkowego w jednej z polskich kopalń węgla kamiennego.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the applicability of the Computational Fluid Dynamics methods to analyze the performance parameters of the hydraulic transportation of ash-water mixture in the gravity transportation pipeline. The aim of the test is to identify the values of working pressures in the given sections of the pipeline under the conditions of hydraulic transportation of fly ash slurry. The analysis included the actual geometric parameters of the pipeline in one of the Polish coal mines.

The paper presents the eigenvalue problem in the dynamics of the steel industrial hall with an internal handling system. The aim of the calculations was to determine the eigenfrequencies and eigenvectors for the structure of the hall adapted to a gantry operation. The analysis was performed by using FEM software, namely Robot. Among over a dozen calculated eigenvectors, four ones were chosen as the most representative for a lateral structural arrangement of the hall and its roof.

The coupled fluid/solid heat transfer computations are performed to predict the temperatures reached in the rotating disc systems. An efficient finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) thermal coupling technique is developed and demonstrated. The thermal coupling is achieved by an iterative procedure between FEA and CFD calculations. In the coupling procedure, FEA simulation is treated as unsteady for a given transient cycle. To speed up the thermal coupling, steady CFD calculations are employed, considering that fluid flow time scales are much shorter than those for the solid heat conduction and therefore the influence of unsteadiness in fluid regions is negligible. To facilitate the thermal coupling, the procedure is designed to allow a set of CFD models to be defined at key time points/intervals in the transient cycle and to be invoked during the coupling process at specified time points. The computational procedure is applied to predict heat transfer characteristics of a free rotating disc.

Decline types of passenger turnover of 517 airports worldwide in 2020 compared to 2019, caused by COVID-19, are analyzed. This decay was uneven in space, as well as in individual countries, areas, poles, centers and cores. The strongest decline in 2020 occurred at airports of Europe (especially in the UK, Spain, Germany, and Italy) and Asia (particularly in India and Malaysia), medium – in the countries of America (the USA, Mexico, Brazil) and Norway, moderate – in Russia, weak – in China. 48% of all airports covered by the study showed a strong decline in passenger turnover (from 65 to 85%), 32% – medium (45 to 65%), 10% – moderate (30 to 45%). A catastrophic decline (over 85%) was recorded at 14 airports (2.7%), weak (15-30%) – in 26 (5%), insignificant (3-15%) – in 9 (1.7%). Stagnation (from -3% to + 3%) was noted only in 1 airport, and growth (more than + 3%) – in 3. The largest international airports with a high proportion of international transit passengers and airports with a narrow resort and tourist specialization were most affected by the covid crisis; less – airports with a dominance of domestic traffic. The pandemic has deformed the persistent territorial structure of world air traffic, which has formed over the past 60 years, and also violated the already established hierarchy of the largest and large airports not only around the world, but also within individual mega-regions and countries with big territories and populations.
W artykule poddano analizie rodzaje spadków ruchu pasażerów na lotniskach spowodowanych skutkami pandemii COVID-19. Badanie przeprowadzono dla 517 portów lotniczych świata porównując zmiany jakie zaszły 2020 r. w stosunku do poprzedniego 2019 r. Obserwowane było niezwykle nierównomierne rozmieszczenie tego zjawiska w przestrzeni, a także w skali poszczególnych krajów, obszarów, biegunów, centrów i rdzeni. Największy spadek liczby obsługiwanych pasażerów wystąpił w 2020 r. na lotniskach Europy (szczególnie w Wielkiej Brytanii, Hiszpanii, Niemczech i Włoszech) oraz Azji (szczególnie w Indiach i Malezji). Średnie nasilenie tego procesu wystąpiło w krajach obu Ameryk (USA, Meksyk, Brazylia) oraz w Norwegii. Natomiast w Rosji spadek liczby obsługiwanych pasażerów miał charakter umiarkowany, a w przypadku Chin wręcz słaby. 48% wszystkich portów lotniczych objętych badaniem było dotkniętych silnymi spadkami (od 65 do 85%), 32% – średnimi (od 45 do 65%), 10% – umiarkowanymi (30 do 45%). Katastrofalne zmniejszenie się ruchu pasażerów (ponad 85%) odnotowano na 14 lotniskach (2,7%), słabe (15-30%) – w 26 (5%), nieznaczny (3-15%) – w 9 (1,7%). Brak zmiany (od -3% do +3%) miał miejsce tylko na jednym lotnisku, a wzrost (ponad +3%) – w trzech innych portach lotniczych. Największe międzynarodowe porty lotnicze z wysokim odsetkiem pasażerów w tranzycie międzynarodowym oraz porty lotnicze o wąskiej specjalizacji uzdrowiskowej i turystycznej najbardziej ucierpiały w wyniku kryzysu pandemicznego – mniej natomiast lotniska z przewagą ruchu krajowego. Pandemia zdeformowała stabilną strukturę terytorialną światowego ruchu lotniczego, która ukształtowała się w ciągu ostatnich 60 lat, a także naruszyła ustanowioną już hierarchię największych i większych lotnisk nie tylko na całym świecie, ale także w obrębie poszczególnych megaregionów i krajów z dużymi terytoriami i populacjami.

One of the basic issues of examination of process of interaction of two-component alloys is the study of the mass transfer process in the presence of dot flaws: internodal atoms and vacancies. The study of this process in real experiments is impossible; therefore it is reasonable to apply computer modelling. The authors present a model of Ni-Al bimetal diffusion process produced by the method of molecular dynamics.
Jednym z podstawowych zagadnień analizy procesu interakcji stopów dwuskładnikowych jest badanie procesu wymiany masy w obecności defektów punktowych: atomów międzywęzłowych i wakansów. Badania tego procesu w rzeczywistych eksperymentach jest niemożliwe, dlatego uzasadnione jest zastosowanie modelowania komputerowego. Autorzy przedstawiają model procesu dyfuzji w bimetalu Ni-Al stworzony metodą dynamiki molekularnej.

Opis:
Transport infrastructure objects are exposed to a large number of loads, which cause the formation of displacements, bends, wear, cracks, breakdowns, corrosion, and other defects. It is shown that at the moment of initiation of malfunctions in objects, the noise of the noisy signals coming from the corresponding sensor takes critical values that correlate with useful signals. Therefore, algorithms are developed for calculating the probability of random noise accepting critical values, a coefficient of correlation between the critical values of the noise and the useful component, and a relay cross-correlation function. Technologies for monitoring the technical condition of transport infrastructure objects are proposed based on the estimates of the developed noise characteristics. Computational experiments are conducted, and the reliability of the developed algorithms and technologies is confirmed.

Opis:
A special wagon, presented in the paper, can be used for intermodal transport of various types of vehicles. It enables transport of vehicles of 36 tons mass and height of 4m on the GB1 clearance height. An innovative wagon is equipped with a frame-support with marginal parts mounted on standard biaxial bogies and the central part lowered with a rotatable loading platform. The rotating part of wagon acts as a kind of platform, allowing truck to move through it during load/unload. During railway operation, this rotating platform is to become an integrated part of the wagon; the tailboards of the rotating part will be connected to the over-bogie part with the special locks. A unique concept of the wagon structure forced a design approach which was rather unusual for the rail industry. Since the design team aimed at very challenging demands of GB1 envelope and usage of standard bogies, the layout of the wagon had to be thoroughly examined in terms of its overall stiffness. Every major design change had to be simulated in order to accurately predict its influence on the whole wagon structure. FE analysis was used for numerical tests of such a wagon structure in different configurations. The calculations were carried out on the basis of PN-EN standards. Selected results of numerical tests of the prototype version of a such wagon for intermodal transports were presented in the paper.
