Opis:
Laser power transmission (LPT) is considered a potentially efficient way for power delivery, especially in long-distance wireless applications and harsh hazardous environmental conditions. In contrast to other wireless power transmission (WPT) methods, LPT has many advantages such as lower device size, focused transmitting direction and high power density. With the development of technology, LPT has been widely adopted in several fields. In conservative industries, the utilisation of LPT can resolve the limitation problem in a wired connection. The adverse influence of electromagnetic interference (EMI) concerning application and high-temperature fields can be reduced. This paper will give a simple review of LPT and demonstrate the basic concept of a photoelectric emitter, transmission channel and receiver material. Based on the recent research about diode laser beam combining technology and high-efficiency multi-junction photovoltaics (PV) materials, the advised LPT devices for simple application as laser power motor will be simply discussed.

With the worldwide competition so strong, it is essential for motor vehicles, regarding to power transmission, to have high reliability. The reliability design is one of the ways to reach this objective. The stage of design is the most important one in the life cycle of a power transmission. Reliability design, within the designing stage, correlates directly with the power transmission reliability. The problem of a practical power transmission, design has been solved by developing of a methodology suited to the purpose. The basis of the developed design represents a contemporary approach to designing, comprising the phases of conceptual, preliminary and detail designs, with applying of the reliability design method within these phases. Approach to technical system design, the algorithms of the developed vehicle design from market-users by reliability preliminary design, detailed reliability design to manufacturing, reliability block diagram are presented in the paper. The developed and applied methodology enables reliability design of the vehicle and its elements, with the objective of obtaining a reliable vehicle which is one of the main requirements for the competitiveness in the market of automotive vehicles.

Opis:
A triple-band microstrip patch antenna is presented in this article with detail investigation of its working mechanism and performance characteristics. The antenna consists of a rectangular slot on the patch to achieve multiband operation. Three distinct frequencies of 2.4 GHz, 5.5 GHz and 7.5 GHz are achieved with return losses of 27 dB, 29 dB and 29 dB respectively. The Impedance Bandwidths are 70 MHz (2.52 GHz-2.44 GHz) at 2.4 GHz, 220 MHz (5.65 GHz-5.43 GHz) at 5.5 GHz and 250 MHz (7.57 GHz-7.32 GHz) at 7.5 GHz, which satisfy the requirements of Wi-Fi, Wi-MAX and satellite communications bands. The fabricated prototype of the antenna has total dimension of 53×53×1.6 mm³ over FR4 substrate. The antenna is simple and has sensible radiation characteristics with considerable gain. This work also focuses on developing a Link Budget model for its application in satellite communication. Most notably, it examines overall system efficiency and optimum path loss, distance analysis, system noise temperature, signal to noise power ratio, the size of antenna and the overall customer satisfactions. The highest gain of the antenna is achieved as 3.5 dB in the band (5.65 GHz-5.43 GHz), while the highest directivity and bandwidth are found as 8.7 dBi and 250 MHz respectively in the higher operating band. The affordable agreement between the simulated and measuring outcomes justifies that the antenna is often applicable for Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), Wi-MAX (5.25 – 5.85 GHz) and satellite (7.24 – 7.57 GHz) communications.

The efficiency of cellular networks can be improved in various aspects such as energy consumption, network capacity and interference between neighboring cells. This paper proposes a high capacity energy efficient scheme (HCEE) for data transmission in cellular networks in a country area. In this paper, the authors obtain a new equation to characterize the minimal required output power for traffic transmission between a base station (BS) and a mobile user (MU) based on the MU distance from the BS. Also, the cells boundaries (the boundary of overlapping areas of neighboring cells) by two static and dynamic approaches are specified. This work helps for better frequency allocation to MUs and allows increasing network capacity. In this paper, the analytical modeling in order to formulate the HCEE algorithm and evaluate its performance is used. The performance evaluation results show the simplicity of the HCEE algorithm and its effect on energy consumption decline, network capacity enhancement and the interference reduction.

The locally resonant (LR) phononic crystal double panel structure made of a two-dimensional periodic array of a two-component cylindrical LR pillar connected between the upper and lower plates is proposed, and the bandgap properties of the structure are investigated theoretically in this paper. The band structures, displacement fields of eigenmodes and transmission power spectrums of the corresponding 8×8 finite structure are calculated by the finite element method. Numerical results and further analysis demonstrate that a band gap with a low starting frequency and a wide band width is opened by the coupling between dominant vibrations of the pillars and plate modes of the upper and lower plates when the vibration source and the receiver are considered on different sides of the structure. By comparing the band structures and displacement fields of the double panel and those of the single plate with the same parameters, many common characteristics are displayed. Then, the influence of geometrical parameters on the band gap are studied and understood with the help of a simple ‘spring-mass’ model.

The article presents selected results of experimental studies on the influence of chosen factors on the dynamic effects and vibroactivity of toothed gears in power transmission systems. The studies were performed on test stand with the gears operating in the circulating power system. On initial phase of the research, four pairs of helical gear wheels with the same value of gear ratios were designed and manufactured. The wheels differed by values of transverse contact ratio εα, face contact ratio εβ and total contact ration εC. In the research, the transverse vibration velocities of the shafts and housing of the tested toothed gear on FZG test stand was assumed to be the vibroactivity criterion. The measurements of the vibrations were carried out on the shafts and at seven points of the top plate of the housing. The vibrations were measured using a laser vibrometer and acceleration sensors. In addition, selected experimental results of measurements were compared with results of numerical simulations. To the simulations was used extended, identified dynamic model of the FZG test stand. The parameters of the wheels and the measured deviations were introduced into model. Obtained results confirm that by increasing the value of the contact ratio of the helical gear is possible reduction of dynamic phenomena occurring in the toothed gear.

he polymer gears owing to their advantages are used in auxiliary power transmission systems of automotive . For example, the gears occur in transmissions of drives of car wipers or drives of car windows. The polymers are mainly used owing to lower production cost than in steel gears. The better silent-running and corrosion z are their other advantages in comparison with steel gears. Unfortunately, the polymer gears are not devoid of disadvantages. The main disadvantages are the lower efficiency and the lower capacity and what follows — the bigger dimensions. The conservative attitude of design of polymer gears is still noticeable. As a rule, such gears e steel gears, but the polymer gears are designed with bigger module. The most probably owing costs and lack of proper design recommendations, for design of polymer gears is used geometry of classic steel gears, because the procedure of analytical strength calculations for classic gears is well-know. The gears made from polymers are built in the mould matrices. In constructions of many mechanisms, the gears can be replaced in case of consumption or damage, so the construction of such gears that can be produced in the machine shop equipped with gear generating e for standard gears, was justified. Nowadays, the constructions of mechanisms used in automotive vehicles are often not even dismountable, but the whole mechanism is changed. It is worth changing the attitude to design of such transmissions.  The method of gears production gives many opportunities.   The production of gears with ited geometry, also such geometry that is impossible to obtain using traditional methods of machining, is possible in the mould matrices.

The on-going rapid development of industry encourages development of new production technologies and designing of machines that use inventive mechanical engineering solutions, a big demand for parts of such machines being a natural consequence. Polymeric power transmission belts are a good example of that. This paper proposes an improvement in the process of production of such belting. Their production includes cutting to length and splicing of elastic round belts to obtain endless belts of the specified length. This is the key phase of the whole production process. A number of splicing methods are available using different physical phenomena. One of them is butt welding technique. In this process heat is applied on the material through an additional heating element called the heat platen. The effect depends on several factors, including preparation of the work pieces. Due to its characteristics the process is often carried out by hand. The need for automated manufacturing was created by important factors associated with manufacturing on an industrial scale: cost, time and quality. The proposed butt welding machine, complete with a control system is an answer to this need. The practical benefits include improved repeatability of splices, time savings and less work load for the operator.

The article presents results of numerical studies on the influence of selected factors on the dynamic effects and vibroactivity in power transmission system with toothed gear. Optimization of the constructions of the toothed gears is in many cases only possible by applying the numerical methods. Dynamic models allow determining the influence of a range of factors on the dynamic phenomena occurring during work of toothed gear. The studies were performed with use a custom developed dynamic model of a test stand with the gears operating in the circulating power system. It was assumed, that properly defined and identified model can be used to analyse dynamic phenomena occurring in meshing and bearings of toothed gears and allows optimizing their construction, especially allows minimization their vibroactivity. Numerical calculations were based on two sets of input data. Sets of input data consist information on all parameters included in the model, and which were determined during the identification process carried out in laboratory at two test stands. Selected results of simulations presented in this article prove, that identified dynamic model can be used to analysis of the impact of various constructional, technological and operational factors on the vibroactivity of the toothed gear.

The drawn up map can be used in power engineering and other objects projecting.
Na podstawie statystycznych informacji meteorologicznych dotyczących liczby i częstości wyładowań atmosferycznych do elektroenergetycznych linii przesyłowych wysokiego napięcia oraz innych obiektów, takich jak maszty radiowo-telewizyjne, piorunochrony, odgromniki, została sporządzona roczna mapa gęstości wyładowań atmosferycznych na terytorium Azerbejdżanu w przeliczeniu na 1 km2. Wykreślona w ten sposób mapa może być wykorzystana w elektroenergetyce, jak i do innych celów.

Opis:
Overcoming of road impassibility, increase of vehicle passability are the issues that are always actual for the areas with insufficiently developed road network in remote regions of the North, the Far East, Siberia, and also the lack of roads in oil and gas production places and their transportation to gathering stations. This issue is also actual during rescue missions after natural disasters, emergency situations and technogeneous disasters. To solve this important issue domestic and foreign industries produced and produce different kinds of off-road vehicles and snow and swamp-going vehicles: caterpillar, ski-caterpillar, on low-pressure tires. The advantage of the latter is the discovery of new opportunities in transportation, ecological compatibility, improved productivity and passableness. It is important to mention that almost all vehicles on extra-low pressure tires can swim. The fact that they all possess hermetic frame contributes to it, what is more, this usage of extra-low pressure tires provides this opportunity. This opportunity to deliver goods by the vehicles with extra-low pressure tires (VELPT), having no restriction in exploitation in summer and winter in the conditions of Arctic weak tundra, increases the competitive power of these vehicles compared to caterpillar off-road vehicles. Moreover, their usage is much cheaper than delivery by helicopter. All these lead to the popularity of VELPT, the growth of the number of their types for various purposes and appearance of new producers of this type of off-road vehicles.

The paper addresses a method of distribution of propulsion for an unmanned underwater vehicle. The method is developed on basis of the decomposition of a configuration matrix describing the layout of thrusters in a power transmission system. The proposed solution of power distribution is worked out for the control system of the remotely operated vehicle "Ukwiał" designed and built for the Polish Navy. The algorithm has been tested for track-keeping control both for faultless work of thrusters and failure of one of them. Some computer simulations are provided to demonstrante the effectiveness and correctness of the approach.
W pracy przedstawiono sposób rozdziału mocy w układzie napędowym bezzałogowego pojazdu podwodnego. Do rozwiązania zadania dystrybucji naporów na poszczególne pędniki wykorzystano rozkład macierzy konfiguracji pędników względem wartości szczególnych. Zamieszczono algorytmy rozdziału mocy dla sprawnego układu napędowego, jak i dla stanu awarii jednego z pędników. Metoda rozdziału mocy została opracowana z uwzględnieniem jej praktycznego zastosowania w układzie sterowania zbudowanego dla potrzeb Marynarki Wojennej zdalnie sterowanego pojazdu podwodnego typu "Ukwiał". Zamieszczono wyniki badań symulacyjnych ruchu pojazdu, ze sprawnym i uszkodzonym układem napędowym, przemieszczającego się po zadanej trajektorii w płaszczyźnie poziomej.
