W artykule przedstawiono metodologię badania kinematyki ruchu kciuka w czasie pisania wiadomości tekstowych sms, z użyciem wybranego modelu telefonu komórkowego. Do badań wykorzystano optoelektroniczny system APAS do trójwymiarowej analizy ruchu, natomiast do porównania otrzymanych wyników wykorzystano autorski program, napisany w środowisku Matlab™.
In this paper the methodology of analysis of thumb kinematics during writing the short message sms was presented. To obtain the kinematics it was used the APAS system and to compare the results it was used the program written in Matlab™ environment.

The article is devoted to the issue of the addiction to a mobile phone. It is treated as a new social problem and educational challenge. The first part is devoted to the role of a mobile phone in life of a young person. The addiction to a mobile phone was defined and its aetiology was described. Typical features of a person who is psychologically addicted were described. The second part presents the results of the research the aim of which was to gain knowledge concerning dominating forms of using mobile phones by the students of pedagogy. The last part of the article presents the results and conclusions concerning the students who participated in the research. The analysis of the conducted research confirms the tendency to the new addiction called phonoholism. Therefore, there is a need to popularize knowledge concerning new addictions, especially among parents and pedagogues.
W artykule zostały zawarte treści dotyczące uzależnienia od telefonu komórkowego. Potraktowano je jako nowy problem społeczny i wyzwanie edukacyjne. W pierwszej części zwrócono uwagę na rolę, jaką odgrywa telefon komórkowy w życiu młodego człowieka. Zdefiniowano, czym jest uzależnienie fonoholiczne, oraz zwrócono uwagę na jego etiologię. Ukazano typowe cechy zachowania osoby uzależnionej psychicznie. W drugiej części zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych, których celem było zdoby-cie wiedzy na temat dominujących form korzystania przez studentów kierunku pedagogika z telefonów komórkowych. W końcowej części artykułu przedstawiono wnioski dotyczące tego, czy ze zjawiskiem fonoholizmu mamy do czynienia w przypadku studentów uczestniczących w badaniu. Analiza przeprowadzonych badań potwierdza tendencję do występowania nowego uzależnienia, jakim jest fonoholizm. W związku z tym istnieje potrzeba popularyzowania wiedzy na temat nowych uzależnień, zwłaszcza wśród rodziców i pedagogów.

The article presents an analysis of the possibility of using a smartphone for sound recording and analysis in relation to reference measurements carried out with laboratory equipment. The scope of the possibility of using recordings by non-calibrated noise measurement (smartphones) was presented, along with limitations and additional requirements that must be met so that such a measurement could be used for further analysis.
W artykule przedstawiono analizę możliwości wykorzystania smartfonu do rejestracji i analizy dźwięku w odniesieniu do pomiarów referencyjnych przeprowadzonych sprzętem klasy laboratoryjnej. Przedstawiono zakres możliwości wykorzystania nagrań przez systemy niekalibrowane (smartfony) wraz z ograniczeniami i dodatkowymi wymaganiami, które należy spełnić, aby taki pomiar mógł zostać wykorzystany do dalszej analizy.

The modern person in an era of information breakthrough faces the problem of choosing and processing information coming to her. Human activities in the systems "driver - vehicle - road - environment" - not an exception. The role and importance of information in all spheres of human activity have increased significantly. The paper aims to find and assess the patterns of information flow impact on the driver performance in the "driver - vehicle - road - environment" system. Electroencephalography (EEG) method using the Neurocom hardware and software complex used to determine the change in the electrical activity of the driver's brain during the processing of input information; electrocardiography method using the hardware and software complex «Cardiosens», used to determine the fatigue level of the driver during research; tabular method of double letter cancelation test, involved in determining the time of distraction from the performance of the driver's core activity in laboratory experiments. Using mathematical modelling methods and methods, mathematical models of EEG and ECG parameters influence on the time of distraction from execution by the driver of the main activity were obtained. Regression models of the influence of the aggregate of the quantitative characteristics of the intensity of fast (beta-rhythm – β and gamma-rhythm – γ ) and slow (delta- rhythm – δ and theta-rhythm –θ) EEG signals are proposed. The regression equations obtained for determining the regularities of the influence of information flow on the results of activity of road users are defined. Set up that the time of the driver's distraction from performing the core activity can reach from 0,94 s to 4,77 s depending on particular conditions. Information flows arising from the location of noticeable advertising in the driver's field of vision when driving a vehicle, distract his attention from 0,23 s to 2,81 s. The practical significance of obtained results is the possibility to use them in coordinating the location of advertising structures and organizing the work of drivers while driving a vehicle.

Artykuł prezentuje problematykę badań stymulatorów serca eksponowanych na sztucznie generowane pole elektromagnetyczne przez systemy telefonii komórkowej. Autorzy koncentrują się na analizie wpływu terminali doręcznych (badania literaturowe) oraz anten bazowych (badania własne). Opisano dokładnie procedurę badawczą in vivo związaną z analizą wpływu anteny bazowej. Przedstawiono wyniki badań oraz wskazówki dla bezpiecznego stosowania kardioimplantów.
The paper presents problems connected with cardiac pacemakers exposed to electromagnetic fields generated by mobile phone systems. The authors concentrate on the influence of hand terminals (literature survey) and base antennas (own research). The research procedure of the latter has been described in detail. The results of research and hints for safe Osage of cardiac pacemakers have been presented.

Przywołane są poglądy współczesnych myślicieli, na czele z Maurizio Ferrarisem, który snuje rozważania na temat etyki nowych mediów, stawiając kontrowersyjne pytanie: czy iPad ma duszę?
In our time, new media, social networks and other such instant messengers have become not only instruments of communication, but also ‘Areopaguses’, environments of the life and activities of many people, especially the young. The text attempts to ethically evaluate various new forms of electronic communication in the light of Catholic ethics and in the context of the education of children and youth. The article discusses certain ethical problems of social media users and their consequences for interpersonal relationships. The most recent scientifi c research and texts of Catholic social science are analysed. The text cites views of modern thinkers, including Maurizio Ferraris, who deliberates on the ethics of new media, raising the controversial question: does the iPad have a soul?

Przybliża zagadnienie uzależnień, ich rodzaje, mechanizmy działania i uwarunkowania społeczne. Sytuuje uzależnienie od telefonu jako uzależnienie behawioralne związane z nowymi mediami. Przedstawia przyczyny i pokazuje skutki fonoholizmu. Wykazuje związek zmian modelu komunikacji z powstaniem nowych mediów oraz z uzależnieniem od nich. Pokazuje wpływ uzależnienia od telefonu na relacje oraz zmiany społeczne zachodzące w związku z postępującym rozwojem technologii.
The article presents a relatively new addiction, namely: phone addiction. It covers the unsafe use of the mobile phone and the Internet. It introduces the issue of addictions, their types, mechanisms of action and social conditions. It places phone addiction as a behavioural addiction related to new media. It introduces the causes and shows the effects of phonoholism. It shows the relationship between changes in the communication model and the emergence of new media and addiction to them. It shows the impact of addiction to the phone on relationships and the social changes taking place in connection with the progressive development of technology.

Intensywny rozwój współczesnych technologii ICT (Information and Communication Tech-nologies), łatwość dostępu i ich różnorodność sprawiły, że dzisiaj coraz trudniej wskazać obszar działalności człowieka, który byłby pozbawiony chociażby pewnych elementów mediów cyfro-wych, szczególnie mediów komunikacyjnych, takich jak internet czy telefonia komórkowa. Tele-fon komórkowy jest dziś podstawowym przedmiotem, z którego korzystają osoby w każdym wieku, coraz częściej także najmłodsze, kilkuletnie dzieci. Niewątpliwie korzyści płynące z posia-dania i korzystania z telefonu komórkowego są bardzo duże. Należy jednak pamiętać również o zagrożeniach, które wynikają z faktu nieodpowiedniego posługiwania się telefonem komórko-wym, zwłaszcza przez dzieci i młodzież. Artykuł stanowi próbę zasygnalizowania skutków nie-właściwego korzystania z telefonów komórkowych (fonoholizmu) przez dzieci i młodzież.
Due to intensive advancement of modern Information and Communication Technologies, easily accessible and highly various, it is more and more difficult nowadays to find an area of human life not bearing any sign of impact of digital media, in particular means of communication, such as the Internet or mobile telephony. The mobile phone is an essential tool used by persons of any age, in-cluding the youngest children. There is no doubt about the benefits of possessing and using a mobile phone. It is, however, vitally important to take into consideration the threats resulting from mobile phone misuse, especially among children and adolescents. This article is an attempt to demonstrate the consequences of mobile phone misuse (mobile phone dependence) by children and adolescents.

Příspěvek je věnován problematice využívání některých komunikačních prostředků s tím souvisejícímu možnému zahlcení člověka informacemi. Konkrétně byla zjišťována míra využívání komunikačních prostředků a intenzita pocitu zahlcení informacemi u ostravských respondentů. Podtržena je dovednost člověka využívat uvedené technologie tak, aby u něj nevznikl odpor k učení, které s přijímáním nových informací souvisí.
This paper discusses the use of certain means of communication with the ensuing human potential congestion information. Specifically, the rate was determined by use of communication and the intensity of feeling of information overload in Ostrava respondents. Human skill is underlined by the use of technology so that it arose in opposition to the learning of new information related to the adoption.
W artykule omówiono stosowanie niektórych środków porozumiewania w kontekście możliwości występowania u człowieka przeciążenia informacyjnego. Wskaźniki przeciążeniowe określano przy zastosowaniu różnych metod przekazywania informacji oraz ich intensywności określanych przez respondentów.
