To właśnie na rodziny chorych spada w większości ciężar zapewnienia im opieki, przyczyniając się w licznych przypadkach do wykluczenia z wielu obszarów życia. Artykuł jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie, na ile Internet może być wsparciem dla takich osób - jako źródło informacji oraz przestrzeń umożliwiającą wymianę doświadczeń z innymi osobami będącymi w podobnej sytuacji.
One of the effects of the demographic process of society aging is the constant growth in the number of people suffering from dementia. The disease significantly affects not only the life of the patients, but also the situation of their relatives. The burden of looking after dementia patients falls mostly on their relatives, which often contributes to their exclusion from many areas of life. The article attempts to answer the question to what extent the Internet could be a support for such people: as a source of information and space which enables them to exchange their experiences with other people in a similar situation.

The mediatization of the human life space is a consequence of both: the progress of media technologies and mass scale and pluralism of the media. I assumed so far that the notion of historical thinking was a worthy and handy “sponsor” of meta‑historical enquiry. Therefore, I left both thinking and, in particular, historical thinking without even a quasi‑definition. In this paper I make an attempt to operationalize the notion of historical thinking using historical semiotics (semiotics of culture), a domain of humanities developed by the founding fathers of the Tartu–Moscow Semiotic School, Yuri Lotman and Boris Uspenskij. The association of cognition and communication not only enriches the study of language but also culture and historiography. Bearing in mind the meta‑historical contexts I found interesting, I significantly reorganized the lecture contents found in Uspenskiy’s Ego Loquens. This interpretation took the form of annotated diagrams, which represent and interpret key categories of Uspenskiy’s philosophy resultant from the semiotic concept of language and culture. Underlying it, there is the act of communication as both the act of anthropogenesis and the genesis of the subject of cognition. We point out the qualities of historical thinking which already flow from the qualities of thinking tout court. Along the way we introduce the problem of the status of the so‑called objective and virtual reality, typical of the philosophical aspects of historical semiotics and crucial for potential meta‑historical analyses.

In modern narratives, the island of Spinalonga appears an attractive tourist destination with an interesting and enigmatic history. In fact, Spinalonga is a memory space, encumbered with past political decisions and medical negligence. This is the story of the great confinement, the isolation of the sick who were symbolically killed. Meanwhile, the photos shared on Instagram show the island in a completely different light. The article seeks to answer the following questions: Does the behavior of Instagram users disrupt the culture of memory and how do these photos (digital representations of memory) influence the image of the island? To this end, I outline the history of the island in the context of exclusion mechanisms for those with Hansen's disease. I discuss the issues of dark tourism, social photo and desemantization of communication. I juxtapose the whole thing with the examples of photos from Spinalonga published on Instagram in 2022.

The XXI century witnesses the origination of various projects whose objective is to take into consideration the dialogue among cultures in the information-communication space. One can see an example of such project in the series of social commercials made in the form of animated films promoting the multifarious culture of Russia and praising the diversity of its every region. The project is entitled Multi-Rossija. The films constitute ideal material to shape the linguistic competence of students and obliterate barriers in intercultural communication during Russian language lessons on the basis of the dialogue of cultures.

Opis:
On the basis of the existing and unquestioned linguistic stance, a division of all the living creatures inhabiting the Earth into those which do not have language (i.e. prehuman and languageless) and those who have language (i.e. the genus Homo sapiens) is postulated. The paper briefly discusses a rich diversity of communication modes occurring in the domain of the prehuman communication systems, such as the auditory, visual, tactile, olfactory, electric, thermal, and seismic ones, with appropriate graphic illustrations. Furthermore, on the basis of the phenomenon of the observable shrinking of this diversity and the key position of the human species, it postulates the necessity of preserving this diversity in the context of biodiversity. This major postulate is in accord with the need to intensify attempts to preserve biodiversity as well as preserve the remaining diversity on the level of the prehuman communication systems as a major challenge of modern humanity. In this context, the human species is considered here as the species of the ‘overseers’ and ‘archivers’ of all the existing communication systems existing on the Earth as the carrier of the tree of life.

This paper is an introduction to the issue of buoys, i.e. signs normally produced with the non-dominant hand to ensure a spatial reference point for signs produced with the dominant hand. Simultaneous constructions of this type have been noticed in numerous sign languages, yet their equivalents have not been described in any detail for Polish Sign Language (PJM). The paper presents what can be said about the use of buoys in PJM on the basis of an analysis of a collection of empirical data extracted from the Corpus of Polish Sign Language (KPJM). The research confi rms that certain buoy types (fragment and depicting buoys) are frequent in PJM and can be found in recurring contexts, which speaks for considering them as a part of grammar of this language.

Opis:
Communication of architecture is a multi-dimensional phenomenon, with elements of message decoded only by a limited group of experts, and the general message understood by the vast audience. These two categories are compared within the paper to semantic and semiotic message systems, derived from dialectic interpretation of meaning, as a function of understanding and consciousness. Further investigation of verbal and non-verbal communication leads to recognition of similarities with architectural discipline. Ability of meaning transmission through space is then analysed in context of limita¬tions of human perception and understanding. Formal discursive communicative methods of architecture are described as semantic, whereas non-formal communication are described as semiotic, along with phenomena of grammar and genius loci. This leads to description of both ability and limitations of spatial communication.
Przekaz architektoniczny jest zjawiskiem wielowymiarowym, z pewnymi elementami przekazu czytelnymi wyłącznie dla ograniczonej grupy specjalistów i ogólnym przekazem rozumianym przez ogół odbiorców. Te dwie kategorie odniesiono w artykule do semantycznego oraz semiotycznego systemu przekazu. Formalne, dyskursywne metody komunikatywne architektury są opisane jako semantyczne, podczas gdy metody nieformalne opisywane są jako semiotyczne, wraz z aspektami gramatyki i genius loci. Te dwie metody komunikacji rozumiane są jako funkcje rozumienia oraz świadomości, wywodzące się z dialektycznej interpretacji znaczenia. Dalsze badanie komunikacji werbalnej i niewerbalnej przeprowadzone w artykule prowadzi do odkrycia podobieństw z architekturą. Zdolność do rozumienia przekazu za pomocą przestrzeni jest następnie analizowana w kontekście ograniczeń ludzkiej percepcji i rozumienia. Analiza ta prowadzi do opisu zarówno potencjału jak i ograniczeń przekazu przestrzennego.

Współczesne procesy globalizacji charakteryzuje niespotykana w historii ludzkości skala przemieszczania się ludzi oraz treści kultury symbolicznej. Zjawiska te poprzez różnorodne formy deterytorializacji, mobilności i wykorzystania procesów wirtualizacji stworzyły nowy rodzaj przestrzeni cywilizacyjnej i kulturowej (Stalder, 2012). Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wskazanie jej cech, których diagnoza, a następnie próba analizy i zrozumienia przełamać musi ograniczenia konceptualne nauk społecznych oraz nauk o kulturze związane z tradycyjnym sposobem jej postrzegania. Artykuł zmierza do wskazania na potrzebę wypracowania zintegrowanej, transgresyjnej i wieloaspektowej teorii przestrzeni. Powinna ona połączyć analizę rzeczywistości realnej, wirtualnej oraz swoiście nowej, hybrydalnej. Metodologią analiz są badania porównawcze odmiennego sposobu istnienia przestrzeni fizycznej oraz symbolicznej odwołujące się do antropologii i socjologii kulturowej. Zbudowana w ten sposób zintegrowana teoria wskazuje na jej nowe możliwości kulturotwórcze i interakcyjne, ale także na nieznane procesy redukcji aksjologicznej, a więc wszystkiego, co daje uczestniczącym w niej ludziom poczucie jej sensu oraz wolę budowania ważnych w niej treści. Taki sposób interpretacji współczesnej przestrzeni mobilności łączy w sobie trzy wymiary analizy, ontologiczną, semiotyczną i aksjologiczną nawiązując do silnie obecnego i wzorotwórczego w tradycji jagiellońskiej teleologicznego komponentu mobilności. Nadawał on wszelkiej wędrówce specyficznie ludzki, pełen nadziei, projektujący ją cel. Artykuł ukazać chce heurystyczną wartość tak konstruowanej teorii w analizie zintegrowanego i transgresyjnego charakteru przestrzeni współczesnych wędrówek.
Modern processes of globalization are characterized by the unprecedented scale of movement of people and different content of symbolic culture. These phenomena, through various forms of deterritorialisation, mobility and the use of virtualization processes, have created a new kind of civilisational and cultural space (Stalder, 2012). The purpose of this article is to identify its characteristics, stimulate the attempt to analyze and understand their functions, and break the conceptual limitations within social and cultural studies related to the traditional way of perceiving and defining the concept of mobility and space.. At the same time, the article seeks to identify the mental and social consequences that take place in space itself, with an indication of the need to develop its integrated, transgressive and multifaceted theory. It should combine the analysis of real, virtual and a new hybrid reality with permeability and mobility of its elements and characteristics. The methodology for showing the modern space of mobility is comparative analyses of the different way in which physical and symbolic space exists, to cultural anthropology and sociology sociology. The integrated theory of cultural space discloses its new cultural and interactive possibilities, but also unknown processes of reducing many values. This interpretation of the modern mobility space combines three dimensions of analysis, ontological, semiotic and axiological, referring to the highly present and exemplary teleological component of mobility in the Jagiellonian tradition that creates specific and hopeful ideas of human mobility. The article reveals the heuristic value of such constructed theory in the analysis of the integrated and transgressive nature of the space of modern wanderings.

The object of the article is the novel Himmelskörper written by Tanja Dückers, the representative of the third post-war generation. The discourse in the family communication and memory space, the relation to family members from the experience generation, as well as the trips in the home towns of the forefathers in the former eastern territories of Germany turn out as important fields of the search for the post-war generation’s identity. The question is asked how memories of the Second World War and the post-war period are constructed in the family context, how the representatives of  the third generation deal with the family’s past. In addition, the role of the return to the home towns of the grandparents and parents for the descendants and whether these journeys lead to the constitution of the feeling of self is analysed.

The 4th Space concept is a very challenging and puzzling one. The tremendous technological progress of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) or Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC), ubiquitous computing, and Extended Reality (XR) make the Gibsonian Cyberspace Matrix an imminent reality in the future. Although, some features can be made more salient, the structure, but most importantly, the effects of living in such environment for human consciousness and morality is almost impossible to predict. Hence, the requisite of a proactionary and comprehensive scientific and technical paradigm for designing the 4th Space, in order to facilitate the adaptation of human species to the brave new technological world, while preserving the humanness and humanism of the humans.

Social influence, a phenomenon studied by social psychology, contains a spatial aspect that exerts an important influence on both architecture and urban space. This article presents some of the areas and methods of social influence, as well as the associated features of human psychology and social phenomena, with some final remarks concerning manipulation and propaganda. This article include the presentation of methods that architecture and urban planning employ to influence people (both individuals and groups), such as the communication function of built structures, the identity and symbolism of space, and the phenomenon of unification. The research undertakes the problem of a large emotional potential of memorial and symbolic spaces, as well as the hierarchy of spaces and their atmosphere. Using the methods of identifying areas of influence described by social psychology, elements in architecture and urban planning susceptible to social influence have been noted.
Wpływ społeczny, będący fenomenem badanym przez psychologię społeczną, posiada swój aspekt przestrzenny, a zarazem w istotny sposób oddziałuje na kształt architektury i przestrzeni urbanistycznej. W pracy przedstawiono obszary i metody wywierania wpływu społecznego oraz związane z nimi cechy psychologii ludzkiej i społecznej, jak również fenomeny manipulacji i propagandy. Przedstawiono elementy architektury i urbanistyki mogące posłużyć do zmiany postaw jej użytkowników (zarówno jednostek, jak i grup społecznych), jak komunikacyjna funkcja struktur zbudowanych, tożsamość i symbolika przestrzeni czy fenomen unifikacji. W pracy poruszony został problem przestrzeni o znacznym ładunku symbolicznym i emocjonalnym, przestrzeni pamięci, jak również hierarchiczności przestrzeni, jej nastroju. Posługując się metodami identyfikacji obszarów wpływu, opisanymi przez psychologię społeczną, wskazano na zjawiska w architekturze i urbanistyce podatne na wywieranie wpływu społecznego.

An inalienable property of the linguistic reality is the multi-language nature of the world and the multi-variation character of the ethnic-national communication space. As regards Polish pace, one can distinguish a series of axes around which the processes of long lasting concentrate. The author discusses the following five axes: (1) idiolectal (individual languages), (2) one determined by the dichotomy: spoken language – written language (contemporarily it assumes the form: spoken language – media language – written language), (3) one connected with the opposition: dialects – literary language (today in the form: dialects – mixed languages – general language), (4) functional variations (their ‘canonical’ series: colloquial language – scientific language – journalistic language – language of the administration – religious language – artistic language), and (5) one of three styles (high – medium – low).

Opis:
The article deals with the study of basic scientific positions of informational space of personality within geographical, media technical and semiotic paradigms. Given the understanding of informational space as a certain projection of a single space-time of informational processes the effectiveness of its influence reflected in the psychological field should be taken into consideration. Informational and psychological safety context is helpful for both the individual as well as for the other social subjects, as safety identity is associated with the concepts of adaptation, resilience, stability and orderliness. Exactly these concepts are the criteria of informational and psychological safety of personality. The main goals and objectives of providing the informational and psychological safety of personality regard the identification and analysis of sources of negative informational psychological influences, organization of psychological defense of different levels social subjects, development of the legal framework of providing the informational and psychological safety, etc., creating a favorable public opinion and climate in society that promotes the democratic transformations and economic reforms. Decisive role plays the thought out constructive strategy of information activities and important condition for its organization is optimal mobilization of science potential.
W artykule zostały zbadane główne czynniki informacyjnej przestrzeni osobowości jako nauki. W badaniu informacyjnej przestrzeni najbardziej rozpowszechnione są paradygmaty: geograficzny (przestrzeń informacyjna jest utożsamiana z obszarem geograficznym i geopolitycznym), mediatechniczny (przestrzeń informacyjna jako infrastruktura środków produkcyjnych, zachowania i rozpowszechnienia informacji) i semiotyczny (analiza produkcji, kodowanie i dekodowanie, popularyzacja informacji jako kultury powszechnej i produkcji środków społecznego przekazu). Należy zauważyć, że właśnie semiotyczne podejście kreuje rozumienie „informacyjnego pola osobowości”, które zbliża semiotyczne właściwości przestrzeni informacyjnej do charakterystyki psychologicznej poprzez jej interpretację informacji, która jest składnikiem świadomości społecznej i informacji unikalnej, niepowtarzalnej, dotyczącej konkretnej osoby. Oprócz zaprezentowanych zasad, zostały zmodyfikowane aspekty badań wpływu mediów na osobowość. Przegląd kwestii podsumowuje modyfikacja teoretycznego modelowania komunikacji masowej w zakresie informacyjnej przestrzeni człowieka. Zostały konkretyzowane zasoby medialne i ich skuteczne oddziaływanie na świadomość człowieka. Zauważono, że poziom skuteczności jest głównym wskaźnikiem wzmocnienia lub osłabienia wpływu komunikacji masowej na odbiorców. Prezentowane koncepcje teoretyczne określają kierunki praktycznego badania treści przestrzeni informacyjnej, która jest metasystemem, w którym naturalnym elementem jest każda wiadomość. Międzyosobowy element komunikacji masowej w rozumieniu klasycznym jest tłumaczony w zakresie interkomunikacji i teorii rolowych. Nową alternatywą jest teoria relacyjna, która twierdzi, że przestrzeń informacyjna jest przestrzenią rozpowszechnienia pewnej informacji, czyli przestrzenią wdrażania procesów informacyjnych z całokształtem przestrzennego systemu komunikacji, czyli ciągłością, strukturalnością, współistnieniem i wzajemnym oddziaływaniem składników. Ze względu na odbiór przestrzeni informacyjnej jako pewnej projekcji jedynej przestrzeni czasu procesów informacyjnych, koniecznie należy uwzględnić skuteczność jej wpływu, co znajduje swoje odzwierciedlenie w sferze psychologicznej. Kontekst bezpieczeństwa informacyjno-psychologicznego jest wygodny zarówno dla poszczególnej jednostki, jak też dla innych podmiotów społecznych, ponieważ bezpieczeństwo osobowości jest związane z pojęciem adaptacji, stałości, stabilizacji, uporządkowania. Te pojęcia są znakiem rozpoznawczym informacyjno-psychologicznego bezpieczeństwa jednostek. Główne cele i zadania zachowania informacyjno-psychologicznego bezpieczeństwa jednostki dotyczą ujawnienia i analizy źródeł negatywnych wpływów informacyjno-psychologicznych; organizacji obrony psychologicznej podmiotów społecznych na różnym poziomie; opracowania bazy prawnej zachowania bezpieczeństwa informacyjno-psychologicznego itp; tworzenia pozytywnej opinii publicznej klimatu społecznego, które promują reformy demokratyczne i gospodarcze. Decydującą rolę odgrywa w tym przemyślana konstrukcyjna strategia działalności informacyjnej, istotowym warunkiem której jest optymalna mobilizacja potencjału nauki.
