Opis:
Treścią narracji był zapewne ogólnie znany w regionie mit etnogenetyczny, podkreślający wyjątkowość wspólnoty, dawność jej tradycji i szczególne miejsce w historii całego regionu.
There are evidences, that West Slavic pagan political centers used so-called pagan reaction in theirs foreign policy. Best exeples for that are 3rd insurection of Wends, overthrow of Obodrites dukes (Mstislav in 1018 AD, and Gotszalk in 1066 AD), Rugian intervention in Szczecin while Otton of Bamberg second missionary trip, 11th century revolution in Poland, and related with it separation of Pomerania from Piast monarchy. Stroimir insurection was inspired from abroad too, however it ware Bavarian political influences behind it. Special feature of this type of events (excluding Rugian expedition on Szczecin) was useing of propaganda in order to revolt local citizents against authority and christianity. As a main inspirators we found two north-wendish political centres: Lutician Federation and Rugian tribe. Ideological and propaganda basis of such events was based on established vision of relationship between comunity that intervented and the greatest divinity in wide accepted pantheon. Sources shows, that was happening by character “Svarog’s son”, namely famous Svarozic from Rethra. It was manifested in overtribal magnitude of sanctuaries related with mentioned political centres (Rethra, Arkona). Contents of narration could be placed in well known in region ethnogenetic myth, which emphasizes community uniqueness, her ancient traditions and special place in region history. Wendish federations and tribal states in this way become a kind of “Chosen people”. Successes of political center were factors that strengthened credibility of propaganda. Without them devine hierarchy might change. Mentioned propaganda contents reach recipients by oracle activity, or council summoned ad hoc. Under the pretext of counteract sacrilege and with use of internal opposition, members of a neighboring tribes were incited against the authority. Factor that facilitate this way of intervention was ruler cultural alienation towards his subjects.

Opis:
In this paper we consider a 4-link model of a human for simulating a forward fall. The model implemented in Mathematica is constructed based on a planar mechanical system with a non-linear impact law modelling the wrist-ground contact. The segments of the human body are modelled as bodies connected by rotary elements which correspond to the human joints. Parameters and kinematic relations used in numerical analysis are obtained based on the 3D scanned model of the human body created in Inventor and experimental observation by the motion capture system. Validation of the model is conducted by means of comparing the simulation of the impact force with the experimental data obtained from the force platform. The obtained ground reaction forces can be useful for the finite element analysis of the numerical model of the human upper extremity.

Introduction. Diagnostic procedure in Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is based mainly on performing real-time-reverse transcription-polymerase chain-reaction (RT-PCR), which has been accepted as the gold standard method. In some cases, such as mutations of the SARS-CoV-2 genome, variable viral load kinetics or laboratory errors, it can be false-negative. Case report. The case is presented of a 56-year-old man with respiratory tract symptoms, with twice negative results of real-time-reverse transcription-polymerase chain-reaction of nasopharyngeal swabs and positive chest computed tomography, with typical findings for COVID-19 pneumonia. Conclusions. Patients with negative RT-PCR results, but with positive computed tomography findings characteristic for COVID-19, should be treated as well as those infected.

Introduction: Yoga practices are known to have beneficial effect on cognitive functions. Reaction is a purposeful voluntary response to external stimuli. Reaction time is a component of skill related fitness. Humans gives response to different external environmental stimuli with different speed. Majority of daily work is done in response to visual and auditory stimuli. Yoga practices may improve reaction time. Objectives: To study influence of yoga practices on auditory reaction time and visual reaction time. Methods: Researchers used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta- Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines for reporting systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Researchers searched articles on PubMed, Google scholar and by manual search. Searched articles were screened for relevancy. By use of inclusion and exclusion criteria potential articles were selected. Results: Out of 287articles, finally 5 studies included in current meta-analysis. Yoga activities has effect on visual reaction time (VRT): SMD = 3.06, 95% CI = –0.66–6.78, P < 0.01 and auditory reaction time (ART): SMD = 2.86, 95% CI = –0.37–6.09. Conclusion: Yogic activities can provide beneficial effect on reaction time. Improved reaction time is important for reactive activity like sports. Yoga can be useful as a part of training in skill related work. There is wide scope for further studies to evaluate beneficial effects of yoga activities.

A novel process to recover lithium and manganese oxides from a cathode material (LiMn2O4) of spent lithium-ion battery was attempted using thermal reaction with hydrogen gas at elevated temperatures. A hydrogen gas as a reducing agent was used with LiMn2O4 powder and it was found that separation of Li2O and MnO was taken place at 1050°C. The powder after thermal process was washed away with distilled water and only lithium was dissolved in the water and manganese oxide powder left behind. It was noted that manganese oxide powder was found to be 98.20 wt.% and the lithium content in the solution was 1,928 ppm, respectively.

A reliable method is introduced for predicting the detonation velocity of CHNOFClAl explosives through suitable decomposition paths. The predicted decomposition products are used to estimate the heat of detonation (decomposition) and the detonation velocity. For non-ideal aluminized explosives, the Chapman-Jouguet detonation velocities are significantly different from those expected from existing thermodynamic computer codes for equilibrium and steady state calculations. The predicted detonation velocities give more reliable results for CHNO explosives than one of the best available empirical methods over a wide range of loading densities. The new model provides better agreement with respect to experimental values for aluminized explosives than the computed results from the BKWS equation of state using full and partial equilibrium of aluminium.

Samples of 30 dead small mammals each were collected on area ‘A’ located in eastern Poland which is exposed to flooding by the Vistula river, and on the area ‘B’, also located in eastern Poland but not exposed to flooding. Kidneys and livers of the mammals were examined by the PCR and nested PCR methods for the presence of hantavirus RNA. Out of 7 species of small mammals examined, the presence of hantaviruses was detected in 4 of them. Hantavirus prevalence was low in Apodemus agrarius (2.6%), the most numerous mammal species, whereas in the remaining 3 positive species (Microtus agrestis, Myodes glareolus, Sorex araneus) this was 12.5–100%. The presence of hantaviruses was detected only in the animals found on area ‘A’ exposed to flooding, and their prevalence was statistically greater compared to area ‘B’ not exposed to flooding (16.7% vs. 0%, p=0.0345). The overall positivity of the examined small mammals population from the areas ‘A’ and ‘B’ was 8.3%. The sequence analysis of the samples positive for hantavirus proved that the amplified products showed 77–86% homology with the L segment sequence of hantavirus Fusong-Mf-731 isolated from Microtus fortis in China. The presented study is the first to demonstrate the occurrence of hantavirus infection in small mammals from eastern Poland, and the first to demonstrate the significant relationship between flooding and the prevalence of hantaviruses in small mammals.
