Opis:
Incoherence and lack of consequence in endeavors, fragmentation and scattering of various domains of individual's activity appear to be unalienable attributes of 'post-modern' life style. The article contains the characteristic of the four types of post-modern self: the stroller (flâneur), the vagabond, the tourist and the player. Although these types were known in previous epochs, there are two factors that render them 'post-modern': (1) the fact that they have become a 'norm' of behavior in everyday life while previously their role was rather marginal; (2) their simultaneous co-occurrence in the lives of the same people in the same fragments of life, while in 'pre-modern' times their presence in the life of individuals was disjunctive - they were subject to choice; presently one does not choose among them, what is more one does not even need to choose. They are just present. The polyvalence of this situation gives individuals the feeling of freedom, yet there are also negative sides to it. 'Post-modernity' forms a certain stage of the development of individuals and social relations.

The paper’s aim is to situate post-secularism on the map of fundamental transitions in the Polish literary theory discourse of the last several years. Referring to the reflections of Agata Bielik-Robson and Adam Lipszyc, the most important of the native authorities on the topic, the outline of the directions of the crypto-theological interpretations of the poetry and prose of Edward Stachura will be presented.

In the context of the contemporary civilizational changes and the cross-roads of modernity and post modernity paradigms, the fluid and unpredictable nature of the post-migrant cultural identities is more visible. The author argues that to understand the mechanism of that specificity requires the evolution of theoretical thought as well as new research methodology on the processes of identity creation, since in comparison with the previous migration waves, the situation of post-migrant generations has significantly changed in the area of politics, ethnicity and group mobilization. The paper shows the most important changes in the domain of ethnicity, creating the background for interpreting ethnic mobilization of post-migrant generations.

 Interpretując ewangeliczną przypowieść Łk 15,11–32 o marnotrawnym synu i miłosiernym ojcu, J. Ratzinger/Benedykt XVI pokazuje istotę największych problemów współczesnego (zwłaszcza zachodniego) społeczeństwa. Wyprawa młodszego syna w dalekie od ojca strony, symbolizująca zasadniczy rozbrat współczesności z Bogiem, choć obiecywała życie w szczęśliwej niezależności, okazuje się jedynie człowiek upadlać. Ślepe kwestionowanie zastanego porządku (w tym porządku stworzenia!), apoteoza zmienności i aprioryczne założenie wyższości nowego nad starym nieuchronnie prowadzi do dezorientacji, a relatywizm staje się „moralnym” umocowaniem i kryterium wszelkiego działania. Ostatecznie: rozgoryczenie i bunt generujące przemoc, pustka szukająca zaspokojenia w narkotycznej ekstazie, człowiek postrzegany jako niszczyciel i wróg natury. Wyjściem jest walka duchowa i metanoia – powrót do Ojca.
Interpreting the Gospel parable of the Prodigal Son and the Loving Father (Luke 15:11–32), J. Ratzinger/Benedict XVI shows the essence of the biggest problems of modern (particularly Western) society. The younger son’s journey to remote places, far from his father, symbolizes the fundamental gap between the present and God, which - although promising a happy and independent life – turns out to debase him. Blind questioning of the existing order (including the order of Creation!), an apotheosis of variability and a priori assumption of the new-over-the-old superiority, inevitably lead to confusion, with relativism becoming a "moral" reference and criterion for every action. Finally: bitterness and a protest generating violence, emptiness looking for satisfaction in drug-induced ecstasy, men seen as destroyers and enemies of nature. The only solution is a spiritual battle and metanoia – a return to the Father.
Interpretierend das Gleichnis über den verlorenen Sohn und barmherzigen Vater aus dem Evangelium (Lk 15, 11-32), zeigt J. Ratzinger/Benedikt XVI das Wesen der größten Probleme der heutigen (vor allem westlichen) Gesellschaft. Das Weggehen des jüngeren Sohnes vom Vater in ein fernes Land, das die Abspaltung der Moderne von Gott symbolisiert, führt zur Erniedrigung des Menschen, obwohl das Weggehen anfänglich wie eine glückliche Unabhängigkeit erschienen war. Das blinde Infrage stellen der bisherigen Ordnung (darin auch der Schöpfungsordnung!), die Apotheose der Veränderung und die apriorische Annahme, dass das Neue besser und hoher ist als das Alte, führt zu einer Desorientierung. Der Relativismus wird zur "moralischen" Begründung und Kriterium jeglicher Aktivität. Letztendlich führen Verbitterung und Rebellion zur Gewalt und Leere, die ihre Befriedigung in der Drogenekstase zu finden glaubt. Ein solcher Mensch muss als Zerstörer und Feind der Natur angesehen werden. Der Ausweg ist die innere, spirituelle Auseinandersetzung und Metanoia - Rückkehr zum Vater.

Twórczość Piera Paola Pasoliniego zawsze budziła kontrowersje i dzieliła publiczność na zagorzałych zwolenników oraz tych, którzy tę twórczość kategorycznie odrzucają. Lipowicz podejmuje próbę analizy oraz interpretacji ostatniego film Pasoliniego Salò, czyli 120 dni Sodomy (Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma, 1975) z filozoficznego oraz socjologicznego punktu widzenia. Stara się dowieść, że Salò jest niewygodnym i dlatego wyklętym arcydziełem kinematografii, które zarówno w sposób krytyczny, jak i pesymistyczny obrazuje przejście kultury zachodniej od nowoczesności do ponowoczesności. Ze współczesnej perspektywy dzieło to stanowi ważne upomnienie, aby pod płaszczykiem społecznej różnorodności nie zapominać o tym, że wciąż jako rzekomo wolni obywatele jesteśmy zmuszeni do życia i uczestniczenia w kulturze konsumpcyjnej, która nie tylko narzuca nam swoje idee, normy, wartości oraz obyczaje, ale także ingeruje w nawet najbardziej intymne rejony naszego życia.
Pier Paolo Pasolini’s work has always attracted controversy and divided the audience into die-hard supporters and those who categorically rejected his works. Lipowicz attempts to analyse and interpret Pasolini’s last film Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom (Salo o le 120 giornate di Sodoma /1975/) from the philosophical and sociological point of view. He argues that Salo is an inconvenient and therefore proscribed masterpiece of cinema, and that it shows the transition of the Western culture from modernity to post-modernity in a critical and pessimistic manner. From the contemporary perspective this film is an important reminder that we should not forget that under the guise of social diversity, we, supposedly free citizens, are forced to live in and participate in consumer culture, which not only imposes on us its ideas, norms, values and customs, but also interferes with even the most intimate areas of our lives.

Inspired by the feminist thoughts of Rosi Braidotti and Donna Haraway, the author of this article endeavours to depict the emerging concept of gender neutrality that has developed in Sweden in recent years. The author uses an interpretative paradigm with a variety of qualitative field research tools, to gain a deeper understanding of how gender neutrality works in practice at school and nursery level in Sweden. The study took place in Stockholm in September 2014 with the author living in situ. The case study involved the use of: field notes and observations, interviews with university scholars, heads of schools and nurseries and open-ended questionnaires with teachers, carers and students. The analysis of written resources included the school and nursery national curriculum, press discourse and scientific publications on the subject matter. The author of the article argues that gender neutrality may be perceived as a concept originating from post-humanism, therefore it should be examined within the post-human socio-pedagogical reflection and embedded in norm critical discourse.

The text is devoted to material objects as they appear in selected works of two notable authors of Polish Romanticism – Adam Mickiewicz and Joachim Lelewel. Inspired by post-humanist thought, the article reviews the ambiguous currents where Romanticism intersects with modern age and ‘the century of lights’. On the one hand, both authors express their fascination with experimental thinking of the Enlightenment and the continuity of anthropocentrism. On the other, however, they notice the burden of emancipation of man, which results in his alienation from non-human realm, both contemporary and material.

Die Autorin des Artikels reflektiert das klassische Konzept der Sublimation der Triebe sowie die Möglichkeit ihrer Bildung bei jungen Studierenden. Anschließend werden zwei kritische Diagnosen der postmodernen Epoche angeführt, die vom Politikwissenschaftler Benjamin R. Barber und vom Psychologen Philipp Zimbardo erstellt wurden. Die Autorin sucht nach einer Antwort auf die Frage, wie der Mechanismus der Sublimation von Libido im Zeitalter der Postmoderne funktioniert.
The article contains a reflection on the classic concept of sublimation of drives, possibility of education among student youth. Then the author cites two critical diagnosis of the postmodern era formulated by the philosopher Benjamin R. Barber and psychologist Philip Zimbardo. Is also seeking to answer the question, what is the condition of the mechanism of sublimation of libido in the postmodern era.
Artykuł zawiera refleksję dotyczącą klasycznej koncepcji sublimacji popędów, możliwość jej edukacji wśród młodzieży studenckiej. Następnie autorka przytacza dwie krytyczne diagnozy epoki ponowoczesnej sformułowane przez filozofa polityki Benjamina R. Barbera i psychologa Philippa Zimbardo. Poszukuje też odpowiedzi na pytanie, jaka jest kondycja mechanizmu sublimacji libido w epoce ponowczesności.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie znaczenia edukacji aksjomoralnej w procesie budowania ładu społecznego w tak zwanej epoce ponowoczesnej. Konieczność utrzymania ładu społecznego i kultury moralnej jest niezbędnym warunkiem życia społecznego, gdyż jest on wpisany w naturę człowieka. Niepokojące tendencje do podważania fundamentu tego ładu, które przejawiają się w rozchwianiu aksjologiczno-moralnym, skłaniają do jego ochrony, także poprzez wychowanie do wartości, które ten ład budują i zapewniają jego stabilność, przewidywalność i ciągłość, a są nimi między innymi: religia, tabu, dialog, wspólnota, pamięć. Stąd postulat szczególnej ochrony i obrony tych wartości.
The aim of the article is to present the meaning of axiological and moral education in the process of building social order in the so-called post-modern era. The need to maintain social order and moral culture is an essential condition of social life, since it is intrinsically encoded into a human being’s nature. The disconcerting tendencies to undermine the foundations of this order, which appear as axiological and moral weakening, prompt its protection, through teaching values which build this order and ensure its stability, predictability and continuity. These values include: religion, taboos, dialogue, community, collective memories. Therefore, if we wish to live in a truly human world, we need to defend and protect these values in particular.

W recenzji książki Małgorzaty Kozubek Filmoterapia. Teoria i praktyka (2016) Stańczyk opisuje pierwszą w Polsce monografię dotyczącą terapii filmem oraz możliwości współpracy filmoznawców z psychologami. Recenzentka czyta książkę przez pryzmat jej prospołecznych celów, uznając, że Filmoterapia nie spełnia obietnic złożonych na wstępie. Książka Kozubek jest podzielona na trzy części: „Teoria”, „Między teorią a praktyką” oraz „Praktyka”. W pierwszej Kozubek opisuje podstawy teoretyczne (szczególnie mechanizm projekcji-identyfikacji) oraz kontekst społeczno-kulturowy (postnowoczesność i kultura terapeutyczna), w drugiej zastanawia się nad kluczem doboru filmów, kładąc nacisk na formuły gatunkowe jako współczesną formę mitów. Pobieżne i niekonsekwentne wnioski osłabiają wartość tych dwóch części, a jednocześnie wprowadzają język zbyt hermetyczny dla praktyków zajmujących się filmoterapią. Pomniejszają jednocześnie potencjał trzeciej, praktycznej części książki, ukazującej Kozubek jako humanistkę zaangażowaną.
In a review of the book by Małgorzata Kozubek Filmoterapia. Teoria i praktyka [Film Therapy: Theory and Practice] (2016). Stańczyk describes the first monograph on film therapy in Poland and the possibilities of cooperation between film experts and psychologists. The reviewer reads the book through the prism of its pro-social goals, recognizing that Filmotherapy does not fulfil the promises made at the outset. Kozubek’s book is divided into three parts: Theory, Between theory and practice and Practice. In the first part of the book Kozubek describes theoretical foundations (especially the projection-identification mechanism) and the socio-cultural context (post-modernity and therapeutic culture), in the second she reflects on the key to selecting films, placing emphasis on genre formulas as a modern form of myths. Superficial and inconsistent findings weaken the value of these two parts, and at the same time the language used is too hermetic for practitioners involved in film therapy. At the same time, they reduce the potential of the third, practical part of the book, showing Kozubek as an engaged humanist.

Opis:
Having been distorted since modern times, the notions of truth and freedom have been radically juxtaposed in post-modern worldviews, consequently resulting in the loss of key values: the truth is questioned, while freedom is determined and limited by worldly purposes. J. Ratzinger (Pope Benedict XVI) shows that the terms are de facto, theologically important (Theological Hermeneutics); i.e., they can be fully and properly understood from the heart of Christian faith God is the right guarantor of the truth (involving the existence of the objective and judicious reality) and the Embodiment of God’s Son, Logos, is the ultimate argument for its attainability and cognizability. When Jesus said: “I am the truth” (John 14 : 6) He convinced that the truth is universal and belongs to God. Thereby, it remains universally binding; it is the appropriate basis of ethos. The truth constitutes the key to interpreting reality and is a superior (independent) criterion for its arrangement (also in the social and political sense). Thus, the task of Christianity and theology is to restore the proper, Christological understanding of truth and freedom for the world, as well as their inseparable, redemptive relationship: “the truth will set you free” (John 8 : 32).
Deformowane od czasów nowożytnych pojęcia prawdy i wolności zostały w światopoglądach ponowoczesnych radykalnie przeciwstawione, co w konsekwencji prowadzi do zatracania tych wartości: prawda zostaje zakwestionowana, a wolność zdeterminowana i ograniczona doczesnymi celami. Józef Ratzinger (Benedykt XVI) pokazuje, że pojęcia te mają w istocie znaczenie teologiczne (hermeneutyka teologiczna), tzn. mogą być w pełni i właściwe rozumiane z wnętrza chrześcijańskiej wiary. Bóg jest właściwym gwarantem prawdy (istnienia obiektywnej i rozumnej rzeczywistości), a wcielenie Bożego Syna, Logosu, ostatecznym argumentem za jej dosiężnością i poznawalnością. Wyznanie Jezusa: „Ja jestem prawdą” (J 14, 6) przekonuje, że ma ona charakter Boski i uniwersalny. W związku z tym pozostaje powszechnie wiążąca – jest właściwą podstawą etosu. Prawda stanowi klucz interpretacji rzeczywistości i nadrzędne (niepodlegle) kryterium jej porządkowania (także w sensie społecznym i politycznym). Zadaniem chrześcijaństwa i teologii jest zatem przywrócenie światu właściwego, chrystologicznego rozumienia prawdy i wolności oraz ich nierozerwalnej, zbawczej więzi: „prawda was wyzwoli” (J 8, 32).
