Opis:
The profession of social pedagogue is classified as a helping profession. Social pedagogues can prove their worth in various sectors and work with various target groups. The study analyses legislative possibilities and actual activities of social pedagogues in schools in Slovakia. Social pedagogues working in Slovak elementary and secondary schools carry out primary and secondary prevention, deal with pupils’ problem behaviour, screen for threatened pupils, provide counselling, actively work with pupils from socially disadvantaged environments, co-operate with pupils’ parents and with specialists. The author also briefly elucidates school preventive socio-educational work of social pedagogues in the other V4 countries comparable geographically, historically and culturally.

Zmierzając ku konkluzjom, stara się potwierdzić pedagogiczną wartość przedsięwzięć organizowanych przez Edmunda Bojanowskiego oraz możliwość ich aplikacji do realiów współczesności.
This article is an attempt to answer the following question: By what actions did the blessed Edmund Bojanowski fulfil himself as an educator (both in terms of theory and practice of education)? By analysing the legacy of Edmund Bojanowski, the author reflects upon his educational values and examines the relevance of the views and the practices introduced by him regarding modern education. In her conclusions, she attempts to affirm the educational value of the notions and endeavours introduced by Edmund Bojanowski. Moreover, she expresses and defends the view that they can be applied to modern education.

  The Project “Sheep” resulted from the special educator and ethnologist cooperation, as addressing the need for using an experience and place by representatives of different scientific areas, the purpose of which was to combine professional competence in innovative teaching. The main goal was to raise funds to buy a sheep, then entrust it to the experienced shepherd from Koniaków who wanders along the Carpathians and reconstruct the old way of grazing. At the same time, the participation in this project has been used as an excellent opportunity to talk about building the local identity and cultural heritage values of the region and disabled people. This project also concerned people who are often barely visible in the human herd-people with disabilities.

Understanding the complexity of a teacher and its role in modern society is vitally important for the advancement in education. The aim of this research paper is to introduce the concept of cultural linguistics and to determine the impactsand the broad understanding of the role of a teacher, referredin this article as the pedagogue in the era of information and communication technology. Evidence suggest that there is a growing need to reestablish the position of a pedagogue which is one of the most important factors in the proper approach to the use of technology in modern schools. To recognize this role, the fundamentals of cultural linguistics and its schemes will be used to highlight the need for further research. A number of cross-sectional studies has accentuated the problem of digital technology in the classroom and the role/scheme of a pedagogue (Palmer, 1996; Ceratto Pargman, 2019; Sharifian, 2011, 2017). This study identified the key elements of a pedagogue and presented a sample of exercises that can be used by a teacher to utilities the digitalization of schools.

INTRODUCTION: Knowledge and skills of correct providing first aid by witnesses of an incident are crucial in the Chain of Survival. Ones of the places of increased risk of occur a state of emergency health risk are large groups of people, such as schools. For this reason, teachers working in them should demonstrate a high level of knowledge in the field of first aid for both adults and children. The aim of the study was to assess of teachers' knowledge about first aid. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study was conducted in central Poland in June 2018 among 80 teachers of various specialties. The research tool was the author's questionnaire consisting of 20 questions, of which 4 were sociodemographic questions. The statistical results were analyzed with use of the rho-Spearman test. The significance level was assumed at p<0.05. RESULTS: In the study involved 68 women and 12 men. The average age was 44 years (SD ± 9.54). The average result obtained by all surveyed pedagogues was 8.99 points (SD ± 3.40) on a scale of 0 to 16, giving just 56.19%. Teachers coped with questions related to resuscitation in adults the best, giving 69% of correct answers, while the worst with resuscitation in children - 34% of correct answers. The statistical analysis showed correlations between the level of knowledge and age (rho-Spearman= -0.238; p=0.034) and gender (rho-Spearman=0.315; p=0.004). No impact of residence was demonstrated (rho-Spearman= -0.073; p=0.519). The author showed a strong correlation of the test result with the field of science conducted by teachers school subject (rho-Spearman= 1; p=0.003). Teachers of natural and technical sciences were below the pass rate (51%). CONCLUSIONS:The examined teachers show significant gaps of knowledge in the field of first aid. They should undergo cyclically training on how to deal with various health or life threatening situations. There is a strong correlation between the level of first aid knowledge and the school subject that teachers teach.
WSTĘP: Wiedza i umiejętności poprawnego udzielania pierwszej pomocy przez świadków zdarzenia są kluczowe w łańcuchu przeżycia. Jednym z miejsc podwyższonego ryzyka wystąpienia stanu nagłego zagrożenia zdrowotnego są duże skupiska ludzkie, takie jak szkoły. Z tego powodu, pracujący w nich nauczyciele powinni wykazywać wysoki poziom wiedzy w zakresie postępowania w ramach pierwszej pomocy zarówno dorosłym jak i dzieciom. Celem badania była ocena wiedzy kadry pedagogicznej w zakresie udzielania pierwszej pomocy. MATERIAŁ I METODY: Badanie przeprowadzono w centralnej Polsce w czerwcu 2018 roku wśród 80 nauczycieli różnych specjalności. Narzędzie badawcze stanowił autorski kwestionariusz ankiety składający się z 20 pytań, z czego 4 były pytaniami socjodemograficznymi. Do analizy statystycznej wykorzystano test rho-Spearman’a. Poziom istotności przyjęto dla p < 0,05. WYNIKI: W badaniu wzięło udział 68 kobiet oraz 12 mężczyzn. Średnia wieku wyniosła 44 lata (SD ± 9,54). Średni wynik jaki uzyskali wszyscy przebadani pedagodzy wyniósł 8,99 pkt. (SD ± 3,40) w skali od 0 do 16, dając zaledwie poziom 56,19%. Nauczyciele najlepiej poradzili sobie z pytaniami związanymi z resuscytacją osób dorosłych udzielając 69% poprawnych odpowiedzi, z kolei najgorzej z resuscytacją dzieci – 34% prawidłowych odpowiedzi. W analizie statystycznej wykazano korelacje pomiędzy poziomem wiedzy, a wiekiem (rho-Spearman= -0,238; p=0,034) oraz płcią (rho-Spearman=0,315; p=0,004). Nie wykazano wpływu miejsca zamieszkania (rho-Spearman= -0,073; p=0,519).Autorzy wykazali silną korelację wyniku testu z dziedziną nauk prowadzonego przez nauczycieli przedmiotu (rho-Spearman= -1; p=0,003). Poniżej progu zdawalności (51%) znaleźli się nauczyciele nauk przyrodniczych i technicznych. WNIOSKI: Przebadani nauczyciele wykazują znaczne braki wiedzy w zakresie pierwszej pomocy. Powinni oni odbywać cykliczne szkolenia dotyczące postępowania w różnych sytuacjach zagrożenia zdrowia lub życia. Istnieje wśród pedagogów silna zależność poziomu wiedzy z pierwszej pomocy od nauczanego przez nich przedmiotu.

To prevent the marginalisation of young people, it is vital to have inclusive and fair education systems. Ensuring effective equal access to quality inclusive education for all learners, including those of migrant origins, those from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, those with special needs and those with disabilities – in line with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities – is indispensable for achieving more cohesive societies. Support educational staff and the students with special educational needs is important for success of inclusive education. These tasks can be carried out by teachers, special pedagogues. However, this requires changes in higher education programs in the field of special pedagogy. Inclusive education should be a compulsory education module. The question is what content the module should contain.

Despite the fact that the legislation of the Slovak Republic enables social pedagogues to perform activities in schools, at present the socio-pedagogical work in school is performed to a minimum extent. This contribution aims to highlight its benefit not only in the local but also in the society-wide scale. It specifies in more detail possibilities for activities of a social pedagogue in preventing and dealing with socio-pathological phenomena in the school environment. Its aim is to point out to the necessity of establishing the profession of the social pedagogue in schools as a significant element of professionalisation of prevention of various forms of pupils’ deviant behaviour.

The article provides a reflection on the social inclusion of children and young people with IDD and associated psychiatric comorbidity through the eyes of practitioners and academics from Norway, Scotland, Sweden, and Romania. Using an autoethnographic approach to share the first-hand experiences of supporting children and young adults with IDD from the perspective of experienced practitioners, telling their stories (individual case studies) and mapping the challenges and successes (best practice) through these professional narratives. The article also acknowledges psychiatric comorbidity in young people with IDD and how psychiatric disorders can impact social inclusion. The results of the self-reflection of active practitioners involved with complex disabilities may serve as a guide for others in sharing best practices and facing difficulties. It also shows the policy developments on a timeline of their practice. Practice-informed issues clinicians and support staff face may aid the training and share the knowledge with other experts. The value added is the interprofessional exchange created by the international contributors.

Przesłanki filozoficzne obligują do myślenia o starożytnym rodowodzie humanistycznej kategorii indywidualizmu człowieka. Rozwój poglądów na indywidualizm sięga przesłanek z filozofii, polityki i etyki epoki najpierw starożytnej Grecji, potem zaś epoki oświecenia, co towarzyszyło równoległej transformacji humanizmu także w kolejnych epokach. Z rodowodu i założeń indywidualizmu na gruncie i w opozycji do socjologii grupy i psychologii indywiduum wyprowadzone wartości i cele legły u podstaw cech/właściwości osób nauczycieli akademickich afirmujących jednostkowy byt/zachowania i całkowitą wolność. Ma to związek z naukotwórczą funkcją osoby pedagoga akademickiego: niezależnego, odrębnego, zdystansowanego wobec norm, na przykład obyczajowych, oryginalnego w myśleniu, pasjonata, twórcy, usatysfakcjonowanego pracą w uniwersytecie. Psychologia humanistyczna i pedeutologia tejże odmiany humanistycznego pojmowania osoby i działalności pedagoga akademickiego dostarcza założeń wyrażania jego indywidualizmu ambiwalentnie w przedziałach między zagrożeniami a szansami/perspektywami społeczno-pedagogicznymi.
Philosophical premises suggest to think and accept the ancient origin of the category of human individualism. The development of ideas on human individualism goes back to the philosophy of politics and to the ethics of the Age of the Enlightenment. That development has also inspired a parallel transformation of the humanism in further epochs. From the origin and presumptions of individualism on the ground and in the opposition to the sociology of a group and the psychology of individual being, some values have been derived. Those values have made a foundation for academic teachers’ peculiarities fostering individual existence/behaviours and absolute freedom. Those features make a conjunction with scientific and creative function of an academic pedagogue, who is thus: independent, dissimilar to others, calm to some norms, like moral ones, distinctive in thinking, creative, full of passion, and satisfied by his/her work at the university. Both, humanistic psychology and pedeutology which agrees to such humanistic view of academic pedagogue – his personality and his ways of acting, bring presumptions to express his/her individualism in the whole variety of possibilities – between menaces and social and pedagogical chances/perspectives.

Tadeusz Zaremba – a highly versatile museum worker, conservator, pedagogue, painter, with particular penchant for marine paintings, and a sea traveller – passed away. Having graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, in 1968 he started working for the Mazovian Museum in Płock where he organised and headed a conservation workshop, the first one in the Warsaw region. In 1973, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Museum, and in 1977 – its Director, the position which he kept for 27 years. Although he did not resign from conservation, he was mostly involved in the preventive conservation. Further, his professional assignments involved arranging exhibitions, including the exposition “Polish Art 1900–1975” organised at the Secession Association in Vienna on the occasion of the Innsbruck Winter Olympic Games held in 1976. He organised several dozen Secession-related exhibitions in Poland, and a number of exhibitions of the Płock collection in Europe, including Arezzo and Indelheim. In addition to the above activities, Tadeusz Zaremba was a painter, predominantly a marine painter; he took part in 52 exhibitions and organised 5 individual ones. In 2002, he organised his presumably greatest exhibition entitled “Influence of Secession on Polish Contemporary Visual Arts”. The exhibition presented his own paintings as well. He worked hard and with dedication, with a view to preserving cultural heritage, pursuing this goal with deep respect and high expertise. He passed away as one of those who have made our life richer, thanks to their work and talent.
Odszedł Tadeusz Zaremba – wszechstronny muzealnik, konserwator, pedagog, artysta malarz, z zamiłowania marynista, oraz podróżnik morski. Po studiach na Wydziale Sztuk Pięknych UMK w Toruniu, w 1968 r. rozpoczął pracę w Muzeum Mazowieckim w Płocku, został organizatorem i kierownikiem pracowni konserwatorskiej, pierwszej w województwie warszawskim. W 1973 r. powołano Go na stanowisko wicedyrektora tego muzeum, a w 1977 r. został jego dyrektorem; funkcję tę pełnił przez 27 lat. Z uprawiania konserwatorstwa nie zrezygnował lecz zajmował się raczej konserwacją zapobiegawczą. Zajmował się również aranżacją wystaw, między innymi projektował ekspozycję „Sztuka polska 1900 – 1975,” zorganizowaną w Towarzystwie Secesja w Wiedniu z okazji Olimpiady Zimowej w Insbrucku w 1976 roku. Zorganizował kilkadziesiąt wystaw secesji w Polsce oraz wiele wystaw płockiej kolekcji w Europie. Organizował między innymi wystawy w Arezzo i Indelheim. Tadeusz Zaremba jednocześnie uprawiał malarstwo, głównie marynistyczne; brał udział w 52 wystawach, zorganizował 5 wystaw indywidualnych. W 2002 r. zorganizował, bodajże swoją najważniejszą, wystawę pt. „Wpływ secesji na współczesną plastykę polską”. Eksponował na niej również swoje dzieła. Pracowicie i ofiarnie, z szacunkiem i znawstwem służył zachowaniu dorobku dziedzictwa kultury. Odszedł, jako jeden z tych, którzy pracą swoją i talentem czynili nasze życiebogatszym.

The above paper is dedicated to Sylwia Borowska who was the distinctive teacher, writer and poet of the 20th century. She was deeply religious patriot who devoted her life to education, according to the spirit of loyalty, sensibility and anxiety for the future of her country. In addition she opposed intolerance and social divisions. She left significant literary output, although now completely forgotten and underestimated. She has a place in Polish literature in the years 1918-1939.

Przesłanki filozoficzne obligują do myślenia o starożytnym rodowodzie humanistycznej kategorii indywidualizmu człowieka. Rozwój poglądów na indywidualizm sięga przesłanek z filozofii, polityki i etyki epoki najpierw starożytnej Grecji, potem zaś – epoki oświecenia, co towarzyszyło równoległej transformacji humanizmu także w kolejnych epokach. Z rodowodu i założeń indywidualizmu na gruncie/w opozycji do socjologii grupy i psychologii indywiduum wyprowadzone wartości i cele legły u podstaw cech/właściwości osób nauczycieli akademickich, afirmujących jednostkowy byt/zachowania i całkowitą wolność. Ma to związek z naukotwórczą funkcją osoby pedagoga akademickiego: niezależnego, odrębnego, zdystansowanego wobec norm, na przykład obyczajowych, oryginalnego w myśleniu, pasjonata, twórcy, usatysfakcjonowanego pracą w uniwersytecie. Psychologia humanistyczna i pedeutologia tejże odmiany humanistycznego pojmowania osoby i działalności pedagoga akademickiego dostarcza założeń wyrażania jego indywidualizmu ambiwalentnie w przedziałach między zagrożeniami a szansami/perspektywami społeczno-pedagogicznymi.
Philosophical premises require thinking about the ancient origin of the category of human individualism. The development of ideas on human individualism goes back to the philosophy of politics and to the ethics of the Age of Enlightenment. That development has also inspired a parallel transformation of humanism in subsequent epochs. Certain values have been derived from the origin and assumptions of individualism on the ground and in the opposition to the sociology of a group and the psychology of an individual. These values lay at the roots of the characteristic features of academic teachers, affirming individual existence/behaviours and absolute freedom. These are connected with the scientific and creative function of an academic pedagogue: independent, distinct, distanced from norms, e.g. the moral ones, original in thinking, full of passion, creative and satisfied by their work at university. Both humanistic psychology and pedeutology of this particular variety of the humanistic view of an academic pedagogue – their personality and ways of acting, bring assumptions to express their individualism between socio-pedagogical threats and opportunities/perspectives.

Theoretical deliberation on the process of transformation of family system and how its functioning as well as data obtained in course of empirical research specify conditions of development of youth brought up in single-parent families. Picture of situation of educational development functioning of single-parent families gives theoretical knowledge on deficite of these educational environments. The most common hazards are within psychosocial factors. On the basis of obtained data and scientific theories conclusions were drawn for educational practice and requirement of work with families at the school counselor level were finally expressed. Within the framework of activities addressed to families of changed structure both work with children growing up in described environments must be included and work with single parents. Proposed activities should be of repair and support type.

The paper deals with the topic of multicultural education which was influenced by J. A. Komenský. The introduction presents Komenský as one of the first promoters of multicultural education. The following part is dedicated to research into the tolerance of Czech citizens towards other minorities. The author’s survey involving the attitudes of multicultural tolerance in groups of UJAK students in Prague shows the importance of Komenský’s concepts for the current Czech society.
Příspěvek se věnuje tématu multikulturní výchovy a vlivu J. A. Komenského na ní. Komenský je v článku představen jako jeden z prvních propagátorů multikulturní výchovy. Následuje část, kde je věnován prostor výzkumům tolerance občanů ČR k jiným minoritám. Je stručně popsán i průzkum autorky k postojům multikulturní tolerance ve skupinách studentů UJAK. Na závěr je vysvětlena důležitost multikulturní výchovy a myšlenek Jana Amose Komenského pro současnou českou společnost.

W nowoczesnych warunkach na Ukrainie wykształcenie pedagogiczne, będąc integralną częścią systemu szkolnictwa wyższego, zapewnia przygotowanie przyszłych nauczycieli do bycia świadomymi ich roli w nowym, innowacyjnym społeczeństwie. Istnieje jednak konieczność reformy systemu przygotowania zawodowego. Pomimo pozytywnych zmian w wykształceniu pedagogicznym, w dalszym ciągu istnieją wady zawodowego przygotowania nauczyciela. Można je przezwyciężyć poprzez uznanie edukacji nauczycieli jako sfery rozwoju kapitału ludzkiego; aktualizację treści kształcenia w oparciu o standaryzację; tworzenie zmiennych, zróżnicowanych profilów edukacyjno-zawodowych programów edukacyjnych zgodnie z poziomami wyższego kształcenia pedagogicznego; ciągłemu rozwojowi zawodowemu nauczycieli, pedagogów w ramach formalnej, nieformalnej oraz poza-formalnej edukacji.
Under modern conditions the teacher education in Ukraine constituting higher education provides for teachers’ training and pays much attention to their role in the innovative updated society and thus the need in reforming the system of professional training. Despite positive changes in teacher education professional training of teachers still has certain drawbacks. They can be overcome by recognizing teacher education as a sphere that provides with human capital – teachers; updating the content of teacher training based on its standardization; developing variable, diversified curricula in accordance with levels of higher teacher education; continuous professional development of teachers and pedagogues in the context of formal, non-formal and informal education.
