Opis:
Systems for monitoring, control, and automation, which are capable for learning and adaptation, are increasingly used in the industry. The Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) direct communication technology have a stronger and stronger impact on the structure and functionality of machine control systems, shaping the Industry 4.0 idea. Control systems that are in accordance with IoT use the communication channels, which are often highly complicated and which combine all subassemblies, modules, actuators, and sensors. The range of using the intelligent systems in the Polish mining industry also increases. The problem of the self-organization of communication routes (routing) in the complex sensor grid monitoring the operation of belt conveyor’s rollers is presented. The sensors creating the grid are independent, and they are equipped with an electronic measuring system and a Measuring and Transmitting Unit (MTU). Swarm Algorithm (SA), based on a swarm behaviour, was suggested for the creation and optimization of transmission routes in the suggested communication structure.
Systemy monitoringu, sterowania i automatyzacji, zdolne do adaptacji i uczenia się, są co raz szerzej stosowane w praktyce przemysłowej. Techniki Internetu Rzeczy (IoT – Internet of Things) oraz komunikacji bezpośredniej Maszyna do Maszyny (M2M – Machine to Machine) coraz mocniej wpływają na strukturę i funkcjonalność systemów sterowania stosowanych w maszynach, kształtując przy tym ideę Przemysłu 4.0 (Industry 4.0). Systemy sterowania zgodne z IoT wykorzystują sieci komunikacyjne, często o dużym stopniu komplikacji, łącząc poszczególne podzespoły, moduły, elementy wykonawcze i sensory.Wzrasta również obszar zastosowań systemów inteligentnych w polskim górnictwie węgla kamiennego. W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienie samoorganizacji ścieżek komunikacyjnych (trasowanie, routing) w złożonej sieci sensorycznej monitorującej działanie krążników przenośnika taśmowego. Poszczególne sensory, tworzące sieć, są niezależne i wyposażone w elektroniczny układ pomiarowy oraz transmisyjny MTU (Measuring and Transmitting Unit). W celu utworzenia i optymalizacji ścieżek transmisyjnych, w proponowanej strukturze komunikacyjnej, zaproponowano algorytm klasy SA (Swarm Algorithm) bazujący na zachowaniu roju.

The paper presents the results of research on the impact of currency regime type on features of the spread of financial crises. The focus is on constructing a neural network to identify groups of countries exhibiting similar behaviour in the dynamics of the index of flexibility in the effective exchange rate, exchange market pressure and external public debt markets in times of sudden changes in the environment. The alpha-criterion for optimality constructed in this way is based on the use of a concordance coefficient. The result of modelling is a self-organization map with a hidden layer consisting of six clusters. This cluster structure allows us to analyse the relationship between the type of currency regime and the consequences of the global crisis in 2007–2009 for the domestic financial markets of the investigated countries. It is found that the result of the division is significantly influenced by the proximity of administrative boundaries and historically predetermined close trade and economic channels of interaction between economies. The results obtained can be used to formulate directions in the currency policies of developing countries, including Ukraine.

Opis:
Purpose: The aim of the article is to answer the question if Erasmus+ project leaders’ organizational learning potential can support them in sustaining their transnational cooperation during turbulent and challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach: The research uses a composite index to define Erasmus+ project leaders’ learning potential and seeks the relations between the results from this index and the sustainability of Erasmus+ projects. Additionally, predictive analysis in the form of logistic regression in relation to Erasmus+ project leaders’ proactiveness, innovation and openness is carried out. Findings: The obtained results prove that Erasmus+ project leaders’ learning potential, their pro-activeness and the ability to adapt to new conditions facilitate the sustainability of Erasmus+ projects in the times of COVID-19 pandemic. Research limitations/implications: The research is based on a large sample of Erasmus+ leaders but the researched group is very specific. The research sheds a new light on Erasmus+ projects’ organizational potential. Practical implications: The research proves useful for practitioners who manage European educational cooperation projects. Social implications: The research proves the importance of learning potential within networks. Originality/value: The discussion is placed in the broader context of relational and network approach to management of modern organizations. The discussion fills in a research gap in the research on organizational aspects of Erasmus+ projects.

There is an ongoing debate about how best to organize healthcare innovation. This article introduces and illustrates an alternative way of doing so by studying an emerging informal and inter-organizational network (IION) in practice. Taking an ethnographic research approach, the authors propose the concept of a potluck feast to de-scribe the nature of an IION and the dynamics within it. The relationship between the project and the actors is explored by introducing Steven Brown’s reading of Michel Serres’ concept of the parasite. The unique way of organizing healthcare innovation studied in the article involves an open, sharing approach, where everyone makes themselves an open resource for the project and where the contribution is determined by the actors’ own motivation rather than regulated by a formal setup and contracts. The article argues that the ethnographic research approach is useful to explore the emergence and dynamics of IIONs. In this way, this article contributes to the field of healthcare innovation and how to organize it, and may inspire those who are already in or intend to study this field.

Celem artykułu jest wskazanie aktualnych trendów dotyczących integracji dostawców i odbiorców łańcucha dostaw oraz koordynacji decyzji współpracujących partnerów, a także analiza wykorzystania technologii informacyjnych wspomagających proces integracji i koordynacji łańcucha dostaw.
he article presents some of the chosen aspects of supply chain integration and coordination. Supply chain can be considered as one of the forms of the network organization. The article introduces also issues related to the importance of information systems in ensuring the appropriate degree of integration and coordination. The aim of this article is the indication of the current trends concerning the integration of suppliers and customers in the supply chain and the coordination of the decision of cooperating partners, as well as analysis of the use of information technology to support the process of supply chain integration and coordination.

Mając na uwadze konieczność wdrażania rozwoju zrównoważonego w  urbanizującej się przestrzeni miasta przedstawiono w  artykule możliwości rozwoju sieci tramwajowej w  północnej części Poznania. Opracowanie wykonano na podstawie zarówno obowiązujących dokumentów planistycznych miasta, jak i badań oraz koncepcji własnych autora. Analiza została dokonana w odniesieniu do głównych zapisów Strategii rozwoju miasta Poznania do roku 2030, według której należy dążyć do racjonalnego rozwoju transportu, przyjmując opcję zrównoważoną. Program ten zakłada silne preferencje dla komunikacji zbiorowej przy jednoczesnym wprowadzaniu ograniczeń dla ruchu samochodowego.
This paper describes possibilities of tramway-system development in the north part of Poznan, according to the necessity of inculcate sustainable development in urbanizing city’s space. The paper was made on the basis of current city’s urban studies as well as based on the author’s conceptions. The analysis was made with reference to the main assumptions of Development strategy for the city of Poznan up to year 2030, according to which it is necessary to aim at rational development of transport adopting sustainable option. Moreover, this strategy provides strong preferences for public transport and, at the same time, introducing restrictions on car traffic.

In network organization knowledge is created in spontaneously emerging relational systems, which consist of various actors. In this situation trust is the necessary condition to initiate the process of knowledge creation and distribution. The paper presents research on structural dimensions of trust in Community of Practice in context of knowledge creation.

Współczesny świat, przechodząc od gospodarki industrialnej do opartej na wiedzy, podlega permanentnym zmianom, które wpływają na wszystkie sfery funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw. Efekty tych zmian widoczne są zarówno w sposobach działania organizacji, ich konkurowania na rynku, jak i w sposobie ich wewnętrznego zorganizowania oraz nawiązywania współpracy z interesariuszami. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wyzwania dla współczesnych organizacji w obliczu zmieniającego się paradygmatu zarządzania oraz ich implikacje dla modelu prowadzonego biznesu. Zaprezentowano koncepcję organizacji wirtualnej oraz sieciowej.
The modern world, moving from the industrial economy to a knowledge-based, is subject to permanent changes that influence all areas of functioning of enterprises. The results of these changes are visible both in the mode of operation of the organization, they compete in the market, and the way their internal organization of and cooperation with stakeholders. This paper presents challenges for contemporary organizations in the face of a changing paradigm of management and their implications for the business model. They presented the concept of virtual and network organization.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to present an example of a solution applied in economic practice in the field of the structure of the global WTA network organization, with particular emphasis on the relations between its main participants - the organizers of tennis tournaments. Methodology: Considerations in the article, beyond the theoretical part, based on a review of the literature on the subject, were carried out with the use of the descriptive method. For the purposes of the article, available source materials from the resources of the WTA organization were used, as well as the co-author's own observations made during many years of cooperation with this organization. Findings: The study allowed for the identification and relatively rich description of the structure of the WTA as a network organization. It explains how the WTA organization functions on the global tennis market, on which general and theoretical principles it is created, and what benefits it brings to both the WTA and its members. Originality/value: The WTA network presented in the article and the "coalitions" of its members brings forth the diversity of the structures of network organizations. This signifies that a network integrator must skillfully shape and manage relations with emerging subgroups of stakeholders with different priorities, needs and goals.

The development of the concept of the network, which is used both to explain complex decisions made in the area of implemented policy and as a basis for introducing innovations, is currently of significant importance for organizations. The analysis of network relations may contribute to increasing the efficiency of managing complex interactions that also arise in the sphere of entities participating in activities aimed at satisfying social needs, which is why the common courts that constitute the system of justice is the subject of interest. The purpose of this article was to determine the levels of organizational maturity of common courts for the practice of cross-referencing within the justice system, the formulation of general recommendations in this area, and indication of potential benefits. The research involved direct interviews and participant observations as a result of the project POKL 05.03.00-00-012/11, entitled PWP Education in the field of time management and court proceedings costs – Case management. Nearly 10% of all courts in Poland were subject to the survey. The research results became the basis for determining the levels of organizational maturity of the courts. The results obtained indicate the potential for the judiciary to create horizontal organizational links, the purpose of which is to connect members of the organization, facilitate joint activities and learning, and consequently create new solutions to existing problems. The research shows that the level of maturity is varied, but judicial cooperation is possible, cutting hierarchical subordination as a voluntary inter-organizational network.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zarówno treści teoretycznych, jak i propozycji rozwiązań dostrzeżonych problemów praktycznych w zakresie organizacji projektowej. Źródła problemów postrzegane są przede wszystkim w konieczności integracji trwałej struktury organizacji realizującej projekt i czasowej struktury projektu oraz potrzebie uwzględnienia jednoczesnej realizacji wielu projektów. Zamieszczone są rekomendacje zastosowania modelowych struktur w realizacji projektów opartych na relacjach kapitałowych, kontraktowych i innych, w zależności od zalet i wad konkretnej organizacji projektu.
The aim of the article is to present both the theoretical content and the prepositions of solutions to the identified practical problems in the project organization. Sources of problems are noticed mainly in the necessity of integration of a permanent structure of the organization implementing the project and the temporal structure of the project and the need of taking into consideration the simultaneous execution of many projects. Recommendations for the use of model structures in the implementation of projects based on capital, contract and other relationships, depending on the pros and cons of a specific project organization are provided.

W niniejszym tekście podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy i w jakim stopniu polityka rynku pracy w Polsce realizowana jest według założeń modelu współzarządzania publicznego. Na wstępie opisano kluczowe atrybuty współzarządzania publicznego, istotne z punktu widzenia specyfiki polityki rynku pracy. Głównym celem tej części artykułu jest osadzenie rozważań o teorii i praktyce polityki rynku pracy w kontekście trzech podstawowych atrybutów modelu współzarządzania publicznego wyróżnionych przez Jessopa (2007): refleksyjnej samoorganizacji, horyzontalnych sieci oraz negocjacyjnego konsensu. Drugą zasadniczą część tekstu stanowi analiza polityki rynku pracy w Polsce. Zaprezentowano tutaj przykłady mechanizmów i narzędzi tej polityki, realizowanej zgodnie z założeniami public governance – stosowanych na poziomie krajowym, regionalnym i lokalnym. W ostatniej części tekstu dokonano mapowania polityki rynku pracy w Polsce w odniesieniu do cech modelowych postulowanych w ramach współzarządzania publicznego. Przeprowadzone wstępnie analizy pozwalają stwierdzić, że współcześnie realizowana polityka rynku pracy w Polsce nie jest konstruktem czystym, modelowym, który można byłoby opisać wyłącznie w oparciu o założenia modelu współzarządzania. Sporo cech tego modelu można dostrzec w naszym kraju na poziomie rozwiązań instytucjonalnych, natomiast w praktyce polityki rynku pracy ciągle jeszcze przeważa porządek oparty na modelu biurokratycznym lub rynkowym. Nadzieję na zmianę tej sytuacji dają przede wszystkim działania realizowane w ramach lokalnych i regionalnych polityk rynku pracy.
In the paper, an attempt is made to determine whether and to what extent the labour market policy in Poland is based on the principles of the public governance model. The author describes key attributes of public governance, essential for the specificity of labour market policy. The main subject of the paper is to place the discussion of labour market policy theory and practice in the context of the three basic attributes of the public governance model identified by Jessop (2007): reflexive self-organization, horizontal network, and negotiated consent. The author then analyzes labour market policy in Poland, focussing on those of its mechanisms and tools used on the national, regional, and local level which are in line with the principles of public governance. Finally, labour market policy in Poland is mapped in reference to model characteristics postulated in public governance. The initial analysis shows that the labour policy currently existing in Poland is not a uniform, model construct that could be described based solely on public governance principles. Many characteristics of the model can be seen on the level of institutional solutions, but in practice, a bureaucracy model or a market model prevail. Activities undertaken as part of local and regional labour market policies show a promise of a change in this situation.
