    This article offers a two-fold contribution. On the one hand, it includes a review of the key junctions in the research landscape related to migrant children and youth by bringing together youth studies, migration studies and a child-centered paradigm with the focus on the meso-level and the concept of belonging. On the other hand, by seeing belonging as a valuable analytical framework for the integration of approaches at the tripartite analysis favoring the meso-level, the paper encourages studies to dynamically overcome the dichotomy, incompleteness and a static nature of the research conducted separately on either macro or micro levels.

    The paper deals with a process known in economic theory as the internationalization of industrial clusters. According to the author, clusters are subject to internationalization at two levels: the micro level, or the level of firms taking part in clusters; and the meso level, or the cluster as a whole-through the work of organizations responsible for coordinating the cluster’s operations. Industrial clusters have entered a new stage of development in their role as projects designed to stimulate competition, Jankowska notes. They no longer limit themselves to local, regional or national markets, but are increasingly eyeing international markets in their operations. This enables them to combine the benefits of clustering with the effects of internationalization, the author says. Jankowska uses a deductive approach to investigate the cluster internationalization process. Her research methods include an in-depth, critical literature review focused on the concepts, models and indicators of the internationalization of a firm and reports on the internationalization of cluster initiatives. Another research method is based on in-depth interviews with managers and coordinators of selected clusters in Poland. On the basis of the research, the author highlights the mechanism of internationalization of clusters and shows the degree of internationalization in some Polish clusters. The main conclusion is that Polish clusters are still only marginally involved in the process of value creation in international markets, according to Jankowska. Internal structural problems caused by the attitudes and policies of managers are a principal barrier that prevents Polish clusters from taking full advantage of the benefits of internationalization, Jankowska concludes.

    In recent decades, sociologists have too often ignored the group level-the meso-level of analysis-in their emphasis on either the individual or the institution. This unfortunate absence misses much of what is central to a sociological analysis of community based on “action.” I draw upon Erving Goffman’s (1983) concept of the interaction order as I argue that a rigorous political sociology requires a focus on group cultures and tiny publics. Group dynamics, idiocultures, and interaction routines are central in creating social order. This approach to civic life draws from the pragmatism of John Dewey, as well as the broad tradition of symbolic interactionist theorists. Ultimately, I argue that a commitment to local action constitutes a commitment to a more extended social system.

    Purpose: This review paper discusses the widely used policy analysis frameworks in sport. Given the lack of an established framework for the analysis of sport policy, many researchers have employed policy analysis methods from other disciplines. Methods: As the application of these policy frameworks in sport discourse analysis has never been discussed, this paper discusses they have been applied in sport policy analysis over the last years. A literature review method was used to identify relevant research for an overview of existing approaches. The homogeneous purposive sampling method was utilised to identify relevant articles. The discussion is limited to the Advocacy Coalition Framework, the Multiple Streams Framework, the Institutional Analysis, the Stage Model and the Policy Network Model. The advantages and disadvantages of the application of these models are debated. Results: The study identifies and appraises the applicability of these frameworks in sport. Conclusions: The importance of developing a unique framework for analysing sport policies has been emphasised.

    Opis:
    The globalization process – rapid in economic, educational, cultural and other spaces – opens a few possibilities in labour market, economics, education and intercultural interchange. However, at the same time individual’s socialization becomes more complicated because it is necessary to estimate the environment changing under the infl uence of diff erent cultures and adjust to it. The subject of the article is the new generation at the intersection of cultures in the aspect of socialization. The aim is to highlight the peculiarity of the new generation’s socialization at the intersection of cultures and indicate the possibility for its development. Objectives: » defi ning the new generation by identifying essential contact points of culture and individual’s socialization; » creating the model of development of the new generation’s socialization at the intersection of cultures. The article highlights the new generation and essential contact points of its socialization. The model of development of the new generation’s socialization at the intersection of cultures is presented. It is possible to use the three stage-scheme for the new generation’s socialization: pre-arrival stage, encounter stage, and metamorphosis stage. In each stage, it is necessary to evaluate micro, meso, macro levels and their elements that infl uence individual’s socialization. This might help the new generation to avoid confusion in the globalising world and identify essential contact points of its socialization: values, standards, and rules. This determination may help create basis for decision-making and overcoming difficulties of socialization.
    Globalizacja jest procesem postępującym, widocznym w ekonomii, edukacji, kulturze i innych obszarach. Otwiera nowe możliwości na rynku pracy, w ekonomii, edukacji i relacjach międzykulturowych. Niemniej jednak w tym samym czasie indywidualne aspekty socjalizacji stają się coraz bardziej skomplikowanym procesem. Wymagają oceny oddziaływań środowiskowych, kulturowych i dopasowania do nich. W centrum zainteresowania artykułu jest problem nowych pokoleń jako przekroju kultury i aspektów socjalizacji. Pytania badawcze: » Jak zdefi niować nową generację (pokolenie) poprzez kontakty z kulturą i ich indywidualną socjalizację? » Jaki jest schemat (przebieg) rozwoju procesów socjalizacji nowych pokoleń w kontakcie z kulturą? Metodologiczną podstawą badań jest konstruktywizm społeczny. Wnioski obrazują procesy rozwoju i przebiegu socjalizacji nowych pokoleń w aspekcie kulturowym. Wyróżniono trzy modele dla tych procesów: Pre-arrival – przed spotkania, Encounter – spotkania, Metamorphosis – metamorfozy. Każdy z tych stanów ewoluuje na poziomach mikro, makro i mezo, a ich elementy oddziałują na socjalizację indywidualną. Wnioski mogą pomagać nowym pokoleniom unikać trudności w zglobalizowanym świecie, identyfi kując główne elementy socjalizacji, jak: wartości, standardy i role.

    In the article, the main points of Schumpeter’s view on innovation are presented as well as its development presented by W.J. Abernathy and K.B. Clark in their article Innovation Mapping the Winds of Creative Destruction. Then the idea of retail innovations and their classification are proposed. Thus along with disruptive innovation and both technological and non-technological innovations in retailing, the architectural, niche creation, regular and revolutionary innovations are identified and their influence on the market – the established system of production and marketing – is shown. By such an approach, J. Schumpeterian theory of innovations is expanded and implemented to the retail sector. The focus is on retail changes at the meso level.
    W artykule przedstawiono główne punkty poglądu Schumpetera na innowacje, jak również jego rozwinięcie przedstawione przez W.J. Abernathy i K.B. Clarka w ich artykule Innovation: Mapping the Winds of Creative Destruction. Następnie zaproponowano ideę innowacji w handlu detalicznym i ich klasyfikacje. W ten sposób wraz z innowacjami destrukcyjnymi oraz zarówno innowacjami technologicznymi i nie technologicznymi w handlu detalicznym zidentyfikowano innowacje architektoniczne, tworzące nisze, regularne i rewolucyjne i ich wpływ na rynek –ukazano ukształtowany system produkcji i marketingu. Przy takim podejściu teorię J. Schumpetera rozszerza się i wdraża w sektorze handlu detalicznego. Główną uwagę zwrócono na zmiany w handlu detalicznym na poziomie mezo.
    В статье представили основные пункты взглядов Шумпетера на инновации, а также их развитие, представленное У. Дж. Абернати (W. J. Abernathy) и К. Б. Кларком (K. B. Clark) в их статье Innovation: Mapping the Winds of Creative Destruction [«Инновации: Мапирование ветров креативного раз-рушения»]. Затем предлагается идея инноваций в розничной торговле и их классификация. Таким образом, наряду с подрывными инновациями, а также технологическими и нетехнологическими инновациями в розничной торговле выявляются архитектурные, создающие ниши, регулярные и революционные инновации и указывается их влияние на рынок (установленная система про- изводства и маркетинга). При таком подходе теория Шумпетера расширяется и внедряется в сектор розничной торговли. Внимание сосредоточивается на изменениях в розничной торговле на мезоуровне.

    Nowadays it is quite obvious that the task of solving the problems which vouchsafe Ukraine’s economic security are of major importance. This likewise relates to the increasing construction activity that could be observed in recent years. Economic security is one of the most important functional areas of national security and is considered under three aspects: on the macro, meso-economic, micro-level. The submitted paper goes into detailed approaches to identify the economic security of the country under economic aspects. It presents main information sources to calculate indicators of economic safety of construction companies. The study is based on financial and statistical reports. It identifies indicators of economic security and analyzes indicators related to construction work.
    Obecnie dość oczywiste wydaje się, że zadanie rozwiązania problemów związanych z kształtowaniem bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego państwa wydaje się dość znaczące, w tym znaczna ilość prac budowlanych, których znaczny wzrost widać w ostatnie lata. Bezpieczeństwo ekonomiczne jest jednym z najważniejszych obszarów funkcjonalnych bezpieczeństwa narodowego i tradycyjnie rozpatrywane z trzech pozycji: na poziomie makro, mezoekonomicznym, na poziomie mikro. W artykule opisano główne podejścia do określania bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego kraju i pozycji gospodarki regionu. Przedstawiono główne źródła informacji do obliczania wskaźników bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego przedsiębiorstw budowlanych. Główne rodzaje zgłoszeń branych pod uwagę w tym przypadku to dane finansowe i statystyczne. Podano wskaźniki bezpieczeństwa ekonomicznego. Analizowane są wskaźniki związane z budową.

    Celem tekstu jest prezentacja koncepcji zmiany edukacyjnej opartej na aktywności ludzi działających na poziomie mezo jako (po)średnim miedzy odgórnymi i oddolnymi poczynaniami dynamizowania edukacji. Przedstawione zasady działania mezo wyprowadzono, przez dokonanie wglądu typu ejdetycznego, ze szkolnego projektu tutoringu wychowawczego. Omówione zagadnienie osadzono w kontekście dynamiki relacji ekonomii i edukacji.
    The aim of the text is the presentation of a concept of an educational change which is based on people’s activity at the meso level, that is between top-down and bottom-up actions of education dynamisation. The principles of how meso acts where based on school educational tutoring by the means of an insight into the eidetic type. The discussed issue was embedded in the context of the dynamics between economy and education.
