Opis:
The paper deals with the part project activities for popularisation of science and technology focused on popularisation and technology education. The accent put on information technology and internet sources blocked the impact of printed media. There is described the strategy of medial effects and transferring of knowledge through educational posters focused on the project Windows of Science Wide Open. CZ 1.07/2.3.00/45.0004. Educational posters present scientific subjects in integrating knowledge of various subjects of science and technologies. This form of medial impact had positive reactions among pupils and teachers of primary and secondary schools and we recommend their other use within projects.

The rapid development of information technology and telecommunications has radically changed the two most important social processes: access to information and communication, allowing the globalization of the economy, culture, education and other areas of society. Priority, undoubtedly, is education, which determines the pace of development in particular countries and the quality of life of individuals. Hypertext and episodic flow of information dramatically changes the way we think and learn. Today, the human cognitive process can no longer be based on the linear structure because shaping knowledge is based on the conscious use of information fragments and episodes that reach the contemporary man in a continuous and often unintentional way. In such conditions, methods and forms of education used for centuries are no longer effective, especially for digital natives who build their intellectual capital.

Over the last decade, using social media and social networking has changed how people live. In the past, life was limited to newspapers, magazines, television, mobile phones, etc. People used to give more emphasis to using social media for specific purposes, such as making important phone calls or finding out about certain news. But today it has become the most important tool for human interaction, where everyone can share, exchange, comment, discuss and create information and knowledge in a collaborative way. It touches almost every aspect of human life, from learning to socialising. Today, a single click can put the world at our fingertips! Apart from official communication, Internet today facilitates socialisation through social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, all these sites make our life very easy and comfortable. This paper therefore aims to explore how social media are used in educational and social contexts.

Promowany obecnie styl pracy i nauki wymusza pozycję siedzącą, co w połączeniu z mało aktywnym trybem życia dzieci przynosi wiele negatywnych skutków zarówno w aspekcie medycznym, jak i pedagogicznym. Włączenie nowych technologii w proces dydaktyczny oraz odblokowanie możliwości aktywizacji ruchowej podczas zajęć pozwoli prowadzić lekcje zgodnie z osobistymi potrzebami danego dziecka. Nowoczesne rozwiązania właściwie wprowadzone do sal lekcyjnych otworzą możliwości samodzielnego organizowania się oraz kooperacji z innymi uczestnikami zajęć, wybrania i realizacji stawianych sobie celów bez zaburzania właściwego rozwoju fizycznego dziecka.
The currently promoted style of work and learning enforces a sitting position, which in combination with a less active lifestyle of children brings many negative effects both in medical and pedagogical terms. There is an urgent need to counteract the harmful habits presented by early schoolchildren today. It is connected with the attempt to adapt information and communication technologies with the simultaneous use of actives eats in classrooms. Including new technologies in the didactic process and enabling physical activation during classes will allow to conduct lessons according to the personal needs of the child. Modern solutions introduced into classrooms properly will open up the possibility of independent organization and cooperation with other participants of classes, selection and implementation of goals with out disturbing the proper physical development of the child.

Społeczeństwo informacyjne wymaga krańcowo innego systemu edukacji niż dotychczaso-wy, ukształtowany według wymogów społeczeństwa przemysłowego. Współczesna cywilizacja oparta jest na technologiach informacyjno-komunikacyjnych (TIK) będących podstawowymi i niezbędnymi narzędziami do uzyskania, przetwarzania informacji, a w efekcie – tworzenia wiedzy. Zakłada się, że kolejna rewolucja technologiczna otworzy szkoły na intelektualny dorobek człowieka w niespotykanym dotąd stopniu i zakresie. Ale wymaga to zmia-ny samej szkoły, gdyż przyswojenie tak dużej ilości wiedzy opiera się na doświadczeniu w stoso-waniu reguł i zasad pozyskiwania i przetwarzania informacji, ogromnej wrażliwości intelektualnej, gdyż uczenie się jest sposobem wchodzenia w kulturę.
The information society requires extremely different than the existing educational system, shaped by the requirements of industrial society. Modern civilization is based on information and communication technology (ICT) that are basic and essential tools for acquiring, processing, resulting in the creation of knowledge. It is assumed that the next technological revolution will open the school on human intellectual achievements of unprecedented scope and extent. But this requires a change in the school, so as to acquire a large amount of knowledge is based on experience in the application of rules and proce-dures for the acquisition and processing of information, the vast intellectual sensitivity, because learning is a way of entering into the culture.

The paper characterizes the problem of research in the field of media pedagogy conducted in the team functioning in the Department of Early Childhood Education and Media Pedagogy at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Selected research areas conducted by individual members of the team are presented against the background of the development of media pedagogy in Poland. The research concerned sharenting, educational benefits achieved by students through the media, media education of parents, use of computers in pre-school education, persuasive messages or shaping competence in the field of information technology among the Masai on African land. The wide spectrum of analyses undertaken by the media pedagogy team is also the result of the team’s cooperation with various research centres in Poland and abroad.
Heutzutage wird soziale Partizipation der Kinder als eine Idee wahrgenommen, die auf verschiedenen sozialen Stufen eingeführt werden soll. Sie ist auch mehrdimensional als verschiedenartige soziale Aktivitäten, darunter die Entscheidungsfindung in Sachen der Kinder betrachtet. In dem Diskurs über die Partizipation der Kinder wird derzeit deren kollektiver Ausmaß, d.i. die Teilnahme am Gesellschaftsleben und der Zugang der Kinder als einer sozialen Gemeinschaft zu sozialen und Bürgergütern hervorgehoben. Seitdem die Kinderrechtskonvention angenommen wurde beobachtet man dynamische Entwicklung des Diskurses über Partizipation der Kinder. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden die Problematik und die aktuellen Tendenzen des Diskurses umrissen.

At present, during teaching foreign languages much emphasis is put on communication skills, speaking, listening and secondly on linguistic and grammatical correctness. The article presents author’s considerations on using mass media e.g. daily newspapers and magazines as well as electronic media e.g. Internet, computer programs, written television programmes broadcast in English and their positive impact on developing communication skills in learners.
Obecnie w nauczaniu języków obcych kładzie się nacisk przede wszystkim na umiejętności komunikacyjne, umiejętność prowadzenia rozmowy i rozumienia napływających komunikatów, a dopiero w drugim rzędzie na poprawność językową i gramatyczną. Prezentuję tu swoje przemyślenia na temat wykorzystania mass mediów, np. prasy codziennej i czasopism oraz mediów elektronicznych, np. Internetu, programów komputerowych, audycji telewizyjnych pisanych i nadawanych w języku angielskim i ich pozytywnego wpływu na rozwijanie umiejętności komunikacyjnych uczących się.

In the digital world schools adapt to the changing reality following the technological progress. The aim of this article is to show teachers potential benefits of using the interactive whiteboards applied into the educational process. Author also draws attention to the shortage of teacher’s skills in the field of in-teractive whiteboard usage. The good practice, programs and tools shown in the article, combined with teacher’s skillfulness can guarantee modern educational approach to preschool education. Teacher would have an opportunity to encour-age students to be interested in learning. The aim of the article is also to indicate that schools shouldn’t be perceived as boring. The second goal is to encourage students to be actively involved in the teaching–learning process.
W cyfrowym świecie również szkoły dostosowują się do zmienia-jącej się rzeczywistości, podążając za postępem technologicznym. Celem niniej-szego artykułu jest ukazanie nauczycielom korzyści, jakie płyną z wykorzystania tablic interaktywnych w procesie kształcenia. Autor zwraca uwagę również na braki w umiejętnościach obsługi tablic przez nauczycieli. Przedstawione dobre praktyki, inne programy i narzędzia w połączeniu z umiejętnym wykorzystaniem tablic dają współczesnemu nauczycielowi edukacji wczesnoszkolnej wiele moż-liwości zaciekawienia i zachęcenia do nauki, pokazywania treści w innowacyjny sposób. Wszystko po to, by szkoła nie była postrzegana jako nudna, zacofana, by uczniowie od początku swojej edukacji aktywnie włączali się w cały proces nauczania–uczenia się.

Intensywny rozwój technologiczny w obszarze samych mediów i ich konwergencja nie sprzyjają jednolitym i jasnym przekazom oraz bezpośredniemu i prostemu sposobowi ich komunikowania i odbioru. To złożona przestrzeń zarówno nadmiaru konfiguracji i form przekazu treści, jak też wciąż rozwijanych i słabych kompetencji odbiorczych, w którą należy wpisać pedagogikę medialną. Trzeba podkreślić, że w tej przestrzeni człowiek musi pozostać kimś wyjątkowym i nie może zagubić właściwego sobie miejsca wśród tego świata, który sam ukształtował.
The dynamics of technological and communication development and the universality of the media is a natural challenge for appropriately realized media pedagogy, which is a very important and current challenge for educational and educational environments. It is important to point out the need to develop and introduce media education into school curricula, with its continuing lifelong and informal education and, first of all, to develop appropriate programs and forms of support for adults – especially parents and educators. In the process of educating and shaping appropriate relations with the media, attention should be paid to the need to talk about the possibilities of developing these positive attitudes.

Thesis. The main assumption of the article is the fact, that flm culture as a part of popculture is a space of many educational and socjalization opportunities. Discussed concepts. In the article I distincted terms: „popculture” and „mass culture”, and characterized them as a space of learning and socializing. Also, I adduced the concept of a flm culture being one of the mass media and described consequences of this phenomenon. In the end, I analised how educational reception of a flm culture can look. Conclussions. Conceptions adduced by me in the article proves that treating both popculture and a Ţlm culture as a full-ßeged and incredibly attractive space of learning is well-founded
Teza. W artykule dowodzę, że kultura filmowa jako część kultury popularnej jest przestrzenią edukacji i socjalizacji. Omówione koncepcje. W artykule dokonałam rozróżnienia terminów „kultura popularna” i „kultura masowa” oraz scharakteryzowałam je jako przestrzeń uczenia się i socjalizacji. Przywołałam koncepcje filmu jako jednego z mediów masowych a także przeanalizowałam w jaki sposób sztuka filmowa może wspomagać proces współczesnej edukacji. Wnioski. Przytaczane przeze mnie w artykule koncepcje dowodzą zasadności traktowania zarówno kultury popularnej, jak i kultury filmowej, jako pełnoprawnej i atrakcyjnej przestrzeni uczenia się.

W tekście zaprezentowano fragment wyników badań jakościowych zrealizowanych w sytuacji koronawirusa COVID-19 na Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu. Badaniem jakościowym objęto 50 studentów.  Przedmiotem przedstawionego fragmentu badań była próba określenia sposobów, w jaki studenci korzystają z narzędzi internetowych do celów związanych z nauką w czasie pandemii oraz jakie są oczekiwania studentów w zakresie wykorzystania komunikatorów internetowych w nauczaniu przez wykładowców. Badanie miało na celu diagnozę stanu edukacji zdalnej (w odniesieniu do grupy badanej studentów UMK) i na podstawie analizy danych sformułowanie zaleceń skierowanych do praktyki edukacyjnej. Uzyskane wyniki badań wskazują, że większość studentów wykorzystuje komunikatory do czynności związanych z uczeniem się, zwłaszcza pracy nad wspólnymi projektami, poszukują oni również pomocy w grupie kolegów, wykładowcy zaś rzadko dostrzegają możliwości ich zastosowań w nauczaniu.
The text presents an excerpt from qualitative research conducted in the situation of coronavirus COVID-19 at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. 50 students took part in the qualitative research. The aim of the aforesaid research was to determine the ways in which students use Internet tools for educational purposes at the time of the pandemics and what are their expectations concerning the educational use of Internet communicators by their lecturers. The research was to diagnose the state of e-learning (with respect to the group of NCU students) and, after data analysis, to make recommendations for educational practice. The results obtained show that the majority of students use communicators for educational purposes, especially to work on projects with their colleagues. They also seek help in a group of their friends, whereas lecturers rarely appreciate possibilities of using communicators in education.

W artykule stawiam pytanie o miejsce i rolę środków masowego przekazu w nauczaniu języków obcych w epoce rewolucji językowej, wywołanej przez ekspansję mediów elektronicznych. Przedstawiam ważne głosy na ten temat ze specjalistycznych teoretycznych prac glottodydaktycznych, opublikowanych przez uznane wydawnictwa brytyjskie i amerykańskie, jak też wybrane pomysły z anglojęzycznych prac metodycznych, poświęconych użyciu technologii elektronicznych w nauczaniu języków obcych. Ważnym celem tego artykułu jest przybliżenie polskim glottodydaktykom nowych teorii, definicji i klasyfikacji mediów edukacyjnych oraz oczekiwań światowych badaczy i ich opinii (nieraz skrajnie od siebie różnych) na temat uwarunkowań dotyczących stosowania nowych mediów w pedagogice języków obcych, a także dylematów z tym związanych.
In the article, I pose a question about the place and the role of media in teaching foreign languages in time of the language revolution caused by the electronic media expansion. I present experts’ opinions from theoretical works written in English as well as from methodical teacher guides devoted to using ICTs in foreign language pedagogy, both published by acknowledged British and American publishing houses. Important aim of this article is to introduce new theories, definitions and educational media’s classifications, as well as world specialists’ opinions and expectations (some of them quite opposite) on the conditions and dilemmas related to the problem of applying media to foreign language teaching.

Artykuł stanowi próbę wyjaśnienia i uporządkowania kwestii związanych z konsekwencjami, jakie generuje rozwój sztucznej inteligencji (SI) dla systemu nauczania. Pojawienie się SI implikuje zmiany zarówno ilościowe jak i jakościowe. Dotykając wielu obszarów życia stanowi wyzwanie zarówno dla całego systemu edukacji. Analiza tego zjawiska w kontekście koniecznych zmian edukacyjnych stanowi ważny i pilny problem. Podejmując go, autor wskazuje na zagrożenia i szanse zarówno w obszarze sposobów jak i treści nauczania, a także samokształcenia. Poprzedzająca działanie refleksja, w tym zakresie, wydaje się warunkiem koniecznym dla właściwej adaptacji systemu nauczania do nowej dynamicznej rzeczywistości.
Rapid development of Artificial Intelligence is influencing most of the human’s domains. It impacts our reality in quantitative and qualitative way. This situation is challenging, also for the educational system – in many aspects. Analysis of this situation in the educational context is important and urgent matter. In the article author is attempting to explain and to structure the problem, pointing out, both chances and the threats, of the phenomenon, focusing on the area of educational content the measures.

Opis:
This paper aims at reviewing the opportunities provided by new digital media in the contemporary educational environment in the context of the needs of parents who homeschool their children. The subject is important as it seems that the development and easier access to new information and communication technologies (ICT) may become both a factor that influences parents’ decision to take up homeschooling and an element that significantly supports the very educational process. In the article; the authors are trying to answer the question how; based on new information and communication technologies; we can build a personalized educational environment for homeschooling; and which digital tools and resources can be used for this purpose. In the first part; new trends in education and homeschooling development were described. Then; the authors classified and discussed online services and tools that may be useful in homeschooling. They were arranged according to the functions they perform; taking into account information resources; didactic materials and aids; as well as means of digital communication. Also; the authors provided the results of surveys carried out among Polish homeschooling families that were related to the use of new digital technologies. In the conclusion the authors enumerated the advantages of digital educational environment for homeschooling.
Celem niniejszego opracowania było dokonanie przeglądu możliwości; jakie oferują nowe media cyfrowe we współczesnym środowisku uczenia się i nauczania w kontekście potrzeb rodziców podejmujących edukację domową. Temat ten jest istotny; gdyż wiele wskazuje na to; że rozwój i coraz łatwiejszy dostęp do nowych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych może się stać istotnym czynnikiem wpływającym na motywację do podjęcia decyzji o edukacji domowej; jak i elementem mocno wspomagającym sam proces nauczania. W artykule autorki starają się odpowiedzieć na pytania; jak na podstawie nowych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjne budować spersonalizowane środowisko kształcenia dla edukacji domowej oraz jakie narzędzia i zasoby cyfrowe można do tego celu wykorzystać. W pierwszej części scharakteryzowano nowe trendy w edukacji i rozwój edukacji domowej. Następnie dokonano klasyfikacji i omówiono przykłady przydatnych z punku widzenia edukacji domowej usług i narzędzi dostępnych online. Zestawiono je według pełnionych funkcji; uwzględniając zasoby informacyjne; materiały i pomoce dydaktyczne oraz środki komunikacji cyfrowej; przydatne w procesie edukacji domowej. Przytoczono też wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród polskich rodzin edukujących domowo; które dotyczyły wykorzystania nowych technologii cyfrowych. W zakończeniu odniesiono się do korzyści; jakie dla edukacji domowej niesie cyfrowe środowisko edukacyjne.

In-depth studies in the field of education, new media technologies and civil society may be essential for ongoing analysis and forecasting of changes and interaction in social, economic and political life. The education system is crucial to a well functioning socio-economic system, and should be continually subjected to reflection. This article reflects on the possibilities of formulating a model of education that adapts to modern changes, with particular emphasis on training in business ethics. It develops an outline of the research factors that contribute to the construction of an optimal system of education, in the context of the current problems of education, technology, media, and civil society.
