All $\mathcal{VB}_{m,n}$-gauge-natural operators $C$ sending linear 3-forms $H \in \Gamma_{E}^{l}(\wedge^{3}T*E)$ on a smooth $\mathcal{C}^{\infty}$ vector bundle $E$ into $\mathbf{R}$-bilinear operators $$C_{H} : \Gamma_{E}^{l}(TE \oplus T* E) \times \Gamma_{E}^{l}(TE \oplus T* E) \rightarrow \Gamma_{E}^{l} (TE \oplus T* E)$$ transforming pairs of linear sections of $(TE \oplus T* E) \rightarrow E$ into linear sections of $(TE \oplus T* E) \rightarrow E$ are completely described. The complete descriptions is given of all generalized twisted Dorfman-Courant brackets C (i.e. C as above such that $C_{0}$ is the Dorfman-Courant bracket) satisfying the Jacobi identity for closed linear 3-forms $H$ . An interesting natural characterization of the (usual) twisted Dorfman-Courant bracket is presented.

There are completely described all [formula]-gauge-natural operators C which, like to the Dorfman-Courant bracket, send closed linear 3-forms [formula]on a smooth (C ∞) vector bundle E into R-bilinear operators [formula] transforming pairs of linear sections of [formula] into linear sections of [formula]. Then all such C which also, like to the twisted Dorfman-Courant bracket, satisfy both some “restricted” condition and the Jacobi identity in Leibniz form are extracted.

This paper investigates the notion of practical feedback stabilization of evolution equations satisfying some relaxed conditions in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces. Moreover, sufficient conditions are presented that guarantee practical stabilizability of uncertain systems based on Lyapunov functions. These results are applied to partial differential equations.

Let \(F\) be a bundle functor on the category of all fibred manifolds and fibred maps. Let \(\Gamma\) be a general connection in a fibred manifold \(\mathrm{pr}:Y\to M\) and \(\nabla\) be a classical linear connection on \(M\). We prove that the  well-known general connection \(\mathcal{F}(\Gamma,\nabla)\) in \(FY\to M\) is canonical with respect to fibred maps and with respect to natural transformations of bundle functors.

Opis:
Given a linear dynamical system, we investigate the linear infinite dimensional system obtained by grafting an age structure. Such systems appear essentially in population dynamics with age structure when phenomena like spatial diffusion or transport are also taken into consideration. We first show that the new system preserves some of the wellposedness properties of the initial one. Our main result asserts that if the initial system is null controllable in a time small enough then the structured system is also null controllable in a time depending on the various involved parameters.

W artykule opisano stanowisko laboratoryjne z silnikiem liniowym na bieżni liniowej znajdujące się w Katedrze Energoelektroniki i Maszyn Elektrycznych na Wydziale Elektrotechniki i Automatyki Politechniki Gdańskiej oraz omówiono, w jaki sposób rozwiązano problemy związane z działaniem wykorzystanych w systemie sterowania protokołów komunikacyjnych. Stanowisko ma charakter dydaktyczny. W skład stanowiska wchodzi indukcyjny silnik liniowy zasilany z przemiennika częstotliwości oraz jego system sterowania, którego głównymi elementami są: sterownik programowalny, dotykowy panel operatorski zintegrowany ze sterownikiem programowalnym oraz moduł rozproszonych wejść/wyjść. Wymiana danych pomiędzy sterownikiem programowalnym a modułem rozproszonych wejść/wyjść jest realizowana z wykorzystaniem protokołu CANopen, pomiędzy sterownikiem programowalnym a panelem operatorskim poprzez sieć Ethernet z protokołem UDP, a pomiędzy panelem operatorskim i modułem komunikacyjnym przemiennika częstotliwości z wykorzystaniem protokołu Modbus RTU. W artykule omówiono problem związany z wymianą danych pomiędzy sterownikiem programowalnym a panelem operatorskim z wykorzystaniem zmiennych sieciowych. Przedstawiono dwa sposoby, dzięki którym możliwe było rozwiązanie problemu błędów w komunikacji z wykorzystaniem zmiennych sieciowych.
In the paper a laboratory stand with the linear motor on the linear truck operating in the Department of Power Electronics and Electrical Machines on the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering in Gdansk University of Technology as well as the method how the problems related to operation of communication protocols implemented in the laboratory stand control system have been solved are described. The laboratory stand is of a didactic character. The stand consists of an induction linear motor supplied from a frequency converter and the control system, main components of which are: a programmable controller, an operator touch panel integrated with a programmable controller and a module of remote inputs/outputs. Data exchange between the programmable controller and the module of remote inputs/outputs is realized with the use of CANopen protocol, between the programmable controller and the operator panel through the Ethernet network with the use of UDP protocol, and between the operator panel and the communication module of the frequency converter with the use of Modbus RTU protocol. In the paper a problem related to data exchange between the programmable controller and the operator panel with the use of network variables has been described. Two methods, thanks to which it was possible to solve the problem of errors in communication with the use of network variables, have been presented.

This paper presents experimental results on whispered speech recognition based on Teager Energy Operator for linear and mel cepstral coefficients including the Cepstral Mean Subtraction normalization technique. The feature vectors taken into consideration are Linear Frequency Cepstral Coefficients, Teager Energy based Linear Frequency Cepstral Coefficients, Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients and Teager Energy based Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients. A speaker dependent scenario is used. For the recognition process, Dynamic Time Warping and Hidden Markov Models methods are applied. Results show a respectable improvement in whispered speech recognition as achieved by using the Teager Energy Operator with Cepstral Mean Subtraction.

https://doi.org/10.26485/0459-6854/2018/68.2/1 Wykazujemy twierdzenie o wartości średniej, które charakteryzuje ciągłe słabe rozwiązania jednorodnych liniowych równań różniczkowych cząstkowych o stałych współczynnikach w obszarach euklidesowych. W twierdzeniu tym wartość średnia funkcji gładkiej względem zespolonej miary borelowskiej na pewnej elipsoidzie specjalnej postaci jest równa pewnej kombinacji liniowej jej pochodnych cząstkowych w środku tej elipsoidy. Główny wynik pracy uogólnia znane twierdzenie Zalcmana.
https://doi.org/10.26485/0459-6854/2018/68.2/1 We prove a mean value theorem that characterizes continuous weak solutions of homogeneous linear partial differential equations with constant coefficients in Euclidean domains. In this theorem the mean value of a smooth function with respect to a complex Borel measure on an ellipsoid of special form is equal to some linear combination of its partial derivatives at the center of this ellipsoid. The main result of the paper generalizes a well-known Zalcman’s theorem.

In this article we consider the question of existence in the Holder class of the solution of the initial-boundary problem for a linear parabolic second-degree equation with discontinuous coefficients in noncylindrical domain. This domain is bounded of the smooth elementary surfaces of the Holder class H 2+λ, (2+λ )/2. The boundary conditions and the conjugation condition of the Wentzel type are given to external and internal boundaries of a domain respectively. We use the potential method to solve this problem.

The article presents that in the circuits of electrical signals belonging to the L1-impulses space or periodic signals space, real distribution of electrical currents occurs which does not meet the principle of minimum energy losses. The paper presents a solution of this problem by using the control system in the form of current-dependent voltage sources entering it into a meshes set of a complex RLC network. It has been shown that the control is energy-neutral.
