Opis:: We survey the literature on well-posed linear systems, which has been an area of rapid development in recent years. We examine the particular subclass of conservative systems and its connections to scattering theory. We study some transformations of well-posed systems, namely duality and time-flow inversion, and their effect on the transfer function and the generating operators. We describe a simple way to generate conservative systems via a second-order differential equation in a Hilbert space. We give results about the stability, controllability and observability of such conservative systems and illustrate these with a system modeling a controlled beam.

Opis:: This paper concerns two notions of rank of fuzzy matrices: maximal column rank and column rank. We investigate the difference of them. We also characterize the linear operators which preserve the maximal column rank of fuzzy matrices. Opis:: For a rank-1 matrix $A = a ⊗ b^{t}$ over max algebra, we define the perimeter of A as the number of nonzero entries in both a and b. We characterize the linear operators which preserve the rank and perimeter of rank-1 matrices over max algebra. That is, a linear operator T preserves the rank and perimeter of rank-1 matrices if and only if it has the form T(A) = U ⊗ A ⊗ V, or $T(A) = U ⊗ A^{t} ⊗ V$ with some monomial matrices U and V.

Opis:: The article presents that in the circuits of electrical signals belonging to the L1-impulses space or periodic signals space, real distribution of electrical currents occurs which does not meet the principle of minimum energy losses. The paper presents a solution of this problem by using the control system in the form of current-dependent voltage sources entering it into a meshes set of a complex RLC network. It has been shown that the control is energy-neutral.

Opis:: The objective of the article is to obtain general conditions for several types of controllability at once for an abstract differential equation of arbitrary order, instead of conditions for a fixed order equation. This innovative approach was possible owing to analyzing the n-th order linear system in the Frobenius form which generates a Jordan transition matrix of the Vandermonde form. We extensively used the fact that the knowledge of the inverse of a Jordan transition matrix enables us to directly verify the controllability by Chen’s theorem. We used the explicit analytical form of the inverse Vandermonde matrix. This enabled us to obtain more general conditions for different types of controllability for infinite dimensional systems than the conditions existing in the literature so far. The methods introduced can be easily adapted to the analysis of other dynamic properties of the systems considered.

W twierdzeniu tym wartość średnia funkcji gładkiej względem zespolonej miary borelowskiej na pewnej elipsoidzie specjalnej postaci jest równa pewnej kombinacji liniowej jej pochodnych cząstkowych w środku tej elipsoidy. Główny wynik pracy uogólnia znane twierdzenie Zalcmana.
https://doi.org/10.26485/0459-6854/2018/68.2/1 We prove a mean value theorem that characterizes continuous weak solutions of homogeneous linear partial differential equations with constant coefficients in Euclidean domains. In this theorem the mean value of a smooth function with respect to a complex Borel measure on an ellipsoid of special form is equal to some linear combination of its partial derivatives at the center of this ellipsoid. The main result of the paper generalizes a well-known Zalcman’s theorem.

Opis:: This paper provides sufficient conditions on a quasisymmetric automorphism γ of the unit circle which guarantee the existence of the smallest positive eigenvalue of γ. They are expressed by means of a regular quasiconformal Teichmüller self-mapping φ of the unit disc Δ. In particular, the norm of the generalized harmonic conjugation operator $A_γ:ℍ → ℍ$ is determined by the maximal dilatation of φ. A characterization of all eigenvalues of a quasisymmetric automorphism γ in terms of the smallest positive eigenvalue of some other quasisymmetric automorphism σ is given.

Opis:: The Riemann-Liouville, Caputo and Gr¨unwald-Letnikov fractional order difference operators are discussed and used to state and solve the controllability problem of a nonlinear fractional order discrete-time system. It is shown that independently of the type of fractional order difference, such a system is locally controllable in q steps if its linear approximation is globally controllable in q steps.
