The influence of the shape and grade of inserts upon the geometric structure of the composite coatings Ni-5%Al- 15%Al2O3 and alloy coatings of Ni-5% Al is considered in the paper. Nickel matrix coatings were sprayed by the Casto-Dyn 8000 torch on a steel substrate, and then subjected to straight turning. Determining of the optimum geometry of indexing is now synonymous with the selection of the optimum shape and dimensions of the insert and of an appropriate holder. According to cutting board it was selected square, triangular, trigon inserts, made of carbide and of cubic boron nitride (borazon). Machining of nickel-based coatings was carried out for the cutting speed vc = 214 m/min in the case of treatment with borazon inserts, vc = 107m/min in case of plates treated with tungsten carbide cutting, using the feed fn=0.06mm/rev and the depth of cut ap = 0.3 mm. Metal cutting the surface of steel samples coated with a composite coating containing 15% Al2O3 based on nickel, conducted for the cutting speed vc = 157 m/min when machining with borazon inserts and for vc = 83 m/min inserts with tungsten carbide for feed fn = 0.06 mm/rev and depth of cut ap = 0.3 mm. Highly precise finishing of flame spraying composite and alloy coatings was carried out using turning by tool with borazon inserts. Flank (VB) and attack (KB) wear coefficient of inserts while maintaining a constant spiral cutting length (SCL) were determined. Important elements parts (such as engines, pumps, centrifugal separators) are regenerated during long-term utilization. This paper proposes the use of regenerated technology subsonic flame thermal spraying and surface finishing by turning composite and alloy coatings of ship machinery parts.

Opis:
The interest in bike transport in Polish cities and towns has been growing systematically in the recent years. A great number of local authorities take various actions to support the development of cycling systems. They make an effort to develop a cycling infrastructure – bike lanes, Bike&Ride type of parking, bike stands and advanced stop lines. An increased interest in bike-sharing systems is visible as well. Apart from that, the authorities implement policies and take other actions which make cycling in a city more convenient. The aim of the article is to characterize the experience of Polish cities in the area of bike transport support, with a special attention to bike-sharing systems. The article presents a comparison of 38 city bike systems. In addition, the Wavelo system in Kraków was studied in detail. Wavelo city bike system is very popular among citizens of Kraków. Despite relatively high prices and the lack of free minutes, the number of system users is growing. A large number of docking stations and their locations make bikes more accessible to citizens. Moreover, Kraków's authorities take action to develop a proper bike infrastructure which increases the interest in cycling as a transportation system. Selected methods of constructing special inserts in the transition zones between the embankment of the railway track and the engineering object (bridge, viaduct, or culvert) were discussed. The purpose of mounting the designed inserts is to eliminate the so-called threshold effect, i.e. continuously creating a mild change in the stiffness of the ground under the track. In addition to the solutions presented in practice, attention was also paid to projects developed by the authors of this article. The results of experimental research constituting the basis for the development of some solutions are also given.

Logistics is one of the key sectors of the Polish economy. Its value reflects not only its own capacity, but also the role it plays in ensuring the proper functioning of the entire economy. The rapid development of the industry and the highest demands on logistics solutions bring to the fore the problem of preparing a new generation of specialists in logistics. That is why the question of compliance to learning expectations of both students and the labour logistics market is so important, as well as the problems of efficiency and adequacy of training provided to students with the knowledge and skills to achieve the desired job, and the opportunities of Polish Universities’ graduates to work abroad. The objective of the paper was to identify the expectations of students who study Logistics at the Faculty of Engineering Management, Poznan University of Technology.

The paper presents a shape and grade of inserts depending on the surface roughness of the intermetallic coatings NiAl and Ni3Al. Intermetallic coatings on nickel based were sprayed with a torch Casto-Dyn 8000 on the steel samples. Thermal spraying intermetallic coatings have been high surface roughness, and therefore they must to be finishing. Experimental research was conducted for unalloyed steel samples with thermal spraying NiAl and Ni3Al intermetallic coatings. Before applying coatings, the samples surface was properly prepared by stream abrasive working, degreasing and finally by cleaning of oxidation products. To testing cutting inserts shape selects square and trigon made tungsten carbide and cubic boron nitride (borazon). Machining intermetallic nickel based coatings were carried out for the cutting speed vc = 214 m/min in the case of after-machining with inserts of borazon, vc = 107 m/min cutting inserts for tungsten carbide, used feed fn = 0.06 mm/rev and depth of cut ap = 0.3 mm. Intermetallic coatings are characterized by high resistance to tribology wear. These materials are used in such fields of technology, such as: electronics, energy, defense, automotive, aviation, shipbuilding, and more industry. The NiAl and Ni3Al intermetallic have found widespread applications as high – temperature structural material due to their high melting point, low density, good thermal conductivity and excellent oxidation resistance. The paper proposes the finishing flame sprayed intermetallic coatings.

The article presents the transmission of a truck, whereinnovativerepairkits of the driveshaft crosspiece are used. The crosspiece is an element of the transmission, and transmits all the torque from the gearbox to the wheels of the car, therefore it is a heavily loaded part. A mathematical model has been developed that describes in detail the process of changing the size of a movable conical spring insert in a sliding bearing used in the mechanism of the cardan shaft crosspiece. The innovative repair kit is designed to improve performance by introducing an elastic intermediate element into the bearing. This element is a movable insert in the form of a helical or conical spring, and its compressible force is adjustable. This creates a tight seal on the working surfaces, preventing oxidative processes and activation of microplastic deformation of the surface.

Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań własnych wykazujących skuteczność zastosowania antyugięciowych materiałów we wkładach balistycznych do kamizelek kuloodpornych.
Some results of investigations linked with the efficiency of application of materials with limited trauma effect in ballistic panels for bullet-proof vests are presented in the paper. It was showed, that their use would decrease the dynamic deformation (trauma) of aramide fabric panels in the point of hit by the bullet, even about 35 %. The limitation of the arrow of bending gets out of enlargements of the surface on which the hit energy of the bullet is dispersed. The results of the investigations on the graph show the close relationship between the depth of the crater in the plastic foundation and its diameter. This depth much comes down with the increase of the diameter of the crater, in other words „de facto” with the increase of the surface on which the bullet hit energy is dispersed. The results show, that on the level of bending depends on both the construction of the antitrauma panel and his location in the structure of layers. The construction of the antitrauma panel should prevent the antitrauma panel against a fragmentation during the bullet penetration. The avulsed parts from the antitrauma panel cause the additional increase of the depth of the crater in the plastic foundation. In order to absorb the energy of the bullet effectively by the antitrauma panel the analysis of its position in the ballistic fabric panel structure should be done. The conclusion of the paper shows that there is an optimum location of the antitrauma panel.

This paper presents the influence of cutting parameters (Depth of cut, feed rate, spindle speed and cutting fluid flow rate) on the surface roughness and flank wear of physical vapor deposition (PVD) Cathodic arc evaporation coated TiAlN tungsten carbide cutting tool insert during CNC turning of AISI 1015 mild steel. Analysis of Variance has been applied to determine the critical influence of cutting parameters. Taguchi orthogonal test design has been employed to optimize the process parameters affecting surface roughness and tool wear. Depth of cut was found to be the most dominant factor contributing to high surface roughness (67.5%) of the inserts. However, cutting speed, feed rate and flow rate of cutting fluid showed minimal contribution to surface roughness. On the other hand, cutting speed (45.6%) and flow rate of cutting fluid (23%) were the dominant factors influencing tool wear. The optimum cutting conditions for desired surface roughness constitutes the following parameters such as medium cutting speed, low feed rate, low depth of cut and high cutting fluid flow rate. Minimal tool wear was achieved for the following process parameters such as low cutting speed, low feed rate, medium depth of cut and high cutting fluid flow rate.

This research study intends to develop an online tool condition monitoring system and to examine scientifically the effect of machining parameters on quality measures during machining SAE 1015 steel. it is accomplished by adopting a novel microflown sound sensor which is capable of acquiring sound signals. The dry turning experiments were performed by employing uncoated, TiAlN, TiAlN/WC-C coated inserts. The optimal cutting conditions and their influence on flank wear were determined and predicted value has been validated through confirmation experiment. During machining, sound signals were acquired using Ni DAQ card and statistical analysis of raw data has been performed. Kurtosis and I-Kaz coefficient was determined systematically. The correlation between flank wear and I-Kaz coefficient was established, which fits into power-law curve. The neural network model was trained and developed with least error (3.7603e-5). It reveals that the developed neural network can be effectively utilized with minimal error for online monitoring.

In the study presented in this paper, the effect of a concentrated heat stream on geometry, microstructure, and hardness of superficial remeltings on NC11 steel is examined. The material is used for disposable mold inserts exposed to intensive abrasive wear in the course of the press-molding of hard aggregate stampings for refractory bricks. As a result of local remelting, the hardness of the steel surface increased and its microstructure was altered. Macro- and microstructure of the remelted areas was examined with the use of optical microscopy and measurements of remelting area geometry were carried out for different parameters of the remelting process. Hardness measurements were taken in the remelting area and in the heat-affected zone. The state of stress in the material before remelting and in the remelted area was also evaluated.

Opis:
In this paper, we presented the technology of layered castings based on the founding method of layer coating directly in the cast process known as the method of mold cavity preparation by monolithic or granular material of insert. Prepared castings consist of two fundamental parts: the base part and working part (layer). The base part of a layered casting is usually typical foundry material (i.e., pearlitic grey cast iron with flake graphite or ferritic-pearlitic carbon cast steel), whereas the dependence of an insert type (i.e., monolithic or granular) working part (layer) is suitably plated with ferrit‑ ic and austenitic alloy steels or a layer from a Cr-base alloy. The ratio of thickness between the base and working part is between 8:1 and 10:1. The quality of the layered castings was evaluated on the basis of ultrasonic non-destructive test‑ ing, structure, and selected usable property research. According to work out technology, the prepared layered castings can work in conditions that require high heat resistance and/or corrosion resistance from the working surface layer of an element in a medium of industrial water, for example. Moreover, in the case of applying an insert based on Cr-base alloy powder on the working surface layer, it is possible to obtain high hardness and abrasive wear resistance.
