Opis:: The societies of developed countries, including Poland, are characterized by the dissemination of manifestations of the consumer lifestyle, which leads to a systematic deterioration of health and quality of life. The health and health safety should be systematically monitored and given in-depth scientific analyses, also from the perspective of pedagogy and sociology. In the scientific discourse there are various issues concerning both health hazards (inter alia related to globalization changes and lifestyle) and health promotion (for example, shaping pro-health attitudes and dissemination of participation in physical culture). Promoting a healthy lifestyle must be accompanied by investments in the material cultural-educational and sports-recreational base as well as by educational influences shaping the necessary level of knowledge and skills in the field of health.

Opis:: Young adulthood is a critical period because it is the time when young people begin to live on their own, and adopt health behaviours which can influence their lifestyle and health status. In social practice there are many community belongings and community-ba-sed support systems and programs in health, which aim to increase young adults’ health literacy and offer learning possibilities and support services.The study focuses on the education and the literacy as determinants of health, seve-ral fields of health education and health promotion related to young adults, elements and determinants of health culture, the links between health and learning, adults’ interest and claims related to learning process, methods, topics.In my research I made a survey of learning methods and contents with the help of the analysis of the scientific literature and by questionnaires. I examined young adults’ (18 to 30) concepts of health and healthy lifestyle, motivations, forms of communication, learningmethods and participation in community platforms of health. We use the results of this research to improve programs that support young people’s learning activities for health.

Jednak fakt wyodrębnienia w języku polskim i niemieckim takich terminów, jak: „pedagogika zdrowia” (Gesundheitspädagogik), „edukacja zdrowotna” (Gesundheitsbildung), „wychowanie zdrowotne” (Gesundheiterziehung) czy „oświata zdrowotna” (Gesundheitsaufklärung) sprzyja analizie porównawczej refleksji pedagogiki zdrowia w Polsce i krajach niemieckiego obszaru językowego. W piśmiennictwie anglojęzycznym wymienione terminy najczęściej są określane jednym pojęciem health education. Status pedagogiki zdrowia w Polsce i w Niemczech jest zbliżony nie tylko ze względu na analogie pojęciowe, ale także interdyscyplinarny charakter tego obszaru refleksji i badań. Inspiracją dla rozwoju pedagogiki zdrowia w naszym kraju mogą być implikacje praktyczne, które wykraczają poza edukację zdrowotną dzieci i młodzieży oraz profilaktykę realizowaną przez placówki opieki zdrowotnej. Pedagogika zdrowia w Niemczech znajduje coraz większe zastosowanie promocji zdrowia w miejscu pracy, co sprzyja zwiększeniu świadomości zdrowotnej, poprawie kultury zdrowotnej dorosłych, a także wzrost wydajności pracowników.
Pedagogy of health is a subdiscipline of educational sciences, which in Poland has its sources in the social pedagogy of Helena Radlińska. In a situation of social and civilization changes, it requires development and scientific strengthening. Interest in health is constantly growing, society's health problems are changing, the approach to health-related issues in science takes on an interdisciplinary dimension, knowledge on health protection and disease control is expanding, and access to health knowledge is conducive to increasing health awareness.In the search for opportunities to develop health pedagogy in Poland, it is worth referring to foreign experiences. Historical and socio-cultural conditions of interest in health issues in Germany and in our country show differentness. However, the fact of distinguishing in Polish and German terms such as: pedagogika zdrowia (Gesundheitspädagogik), edukacja zdrowotna (Gesundheitsbildung), wychowanie zdrowotne (Gesundheiterziehung), czy oświata zdrowotna (Gesundheitsaufklärung) favors comparative reflection of German language pedagogy in Poland and countries. In English-language literature, these terms are most often referred to as one concept of health education.The status of health pedagogy in Poland and Germany is similar not only because of conceptual analogies, but also because of the interdisciplinary nature of this area of reflection and research. The inspiration for the development of health pedagogy in our country can be practical implications that go beyond the health education of children and adolescents and prevention carried out by health care facilities. Health pedagogy in Germany is increasingly used in the promotion of health at work, which contributes to increasing health awareness, improving the health culture of adults, as well as increasing employee productivity.

Opis:: Wśród celów podróży edukacyjnych obywateli I Rzeczypospolitej Padwa zajmowała miejsce szczególne. Przyczyną tego był przede wszystkim funkcjonujący w mieście nad kanałem Bacchiglione uniwersytet, stanowiący główny ośrodek naukowy Republiki Weneckiej, który przez dziesięciolecia przyciągał znamienitych uczonych. W XVI i XVII stuleciu zwłaszcza studia medyczne na padewskiej uczelni stały się pragnieniem wszystkich, którzy chcieli szczycić się gruntownym wykształceniem, zdobytym pod okiem najtęższych umysłów ówczesnej Europy. Do miasta, zwanego Grodem Antenora, przybywali zarówno adepci sztuki lekarskiej, jak i żądni światowego obycia członkowie rodów szlacheckich. W artykule podjęto próbę wskazania różnych aspektów owych pobytów w Padwie, które bezpośrednio lub pośrednio mogły wpływać na przemiany zachodzące w obszarze szeroko pojmowanej kultury zdrowotnej na ziemiach polsko-litewskich.
Among the educational destinations chosen by the citizens of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Padua occupied a prominent position. This was primarily due to the city’s esteemed university, situated along the Bacchiglione canal. Serving as the principal intellectual hub of the Venetian Republic, the university had attracted distinguished scholars for centuries. In the 16th and 17th centuries, it was especially the university’s medical studies that became popular among those seeking to boast a comprehensive education, acquired under the tutelage of Europe’s finest minds. Aspiring medical practitioners and members of noble families alike flocked to the City of Antenor, as Padua was called, in pursuit of erudition and cosmopolitan refinement. This article aims to elucidate the multifaceted dimensions of these sojourns in Padua, which exerted direct or indirect influences on the transformations in the broadly understood health culture of the Polish-Lithuanian territories.

Each entrepreneur must adapt the workplace to the applicable legal requirements regarding health and safety a t work. Caring for a working environment is the responsibility of the employer. However, the employer should also take care of health and safety at work. Shaping positive behaviors and norms of employees' behavior influences the quality and efficiency of work. The employer should shape health and safety policy in such a way as to prevent accidents at work and potentially dangerous behavior. Therefore, he has at his disposal numerous methods that facilitate the management of occupational health and safety in the enterprise. The subject of the study is to describe and implement the "5 minutes for security" method in an enterprise as an element improving the culture of health and safety.

Jest to proces ciągły i wymagający czasu. Szkolenia są ważnym elementem budowania prawidłowej kultury przedsiębiorstwa, a tym samym kultury bezpieczeństwa pracy będącej jej częścią i muszą być dostosowane do potrzeb i specyfiki działalności danego przedsiębiorstwa. W artykule przedstawiono teoretyczne ujęcie problematyki szkoleń w organizacji, w tym między innymi proces projektowania szkoleń, a następnie odniesiono to zagadnienie do kwestii postrzegania przez badanych pracowników kultury bezpieczeństwa pracy. W opracowaniu wykorzystano część wyników badań dotyczących postrzegania kultury bezpieczeństwa pracy w przedsiębiorstwach branży przemysłowej związanych z tematem artykułu. Wyniki wskazują na ścisły związek działalności szkoleniowej na postrzeganie kultury bezpieczeństwa pracy. W dalszej kolejności Autorka ma na celu zaprezentowanie najważniejszych rekomendacji dla badanego przedsiębiorstwa w zakresie najsłabiej ocenionych punktów, co pomogłoby wzmocnić kulturę bezpieczeństwa pracy między innymi poprzez dobór właściwych szkoleń oraz odpowiednie zaangażowanie pracowników.
Development of human capital in an organization contributes to shaping proper attitudes of employees and employers towards occupational health and safety. This is a constant and time consuming process. Trainings are an important element of building proper culture of an enterprise and at the same time the culture of occupational health and safety being its part, and have to be adjusted to a company’s needs and specificity of its operation. The article presents theoretical aspects of trainings in an organization, for example the design phase of a training and next goes on to the problem of occupational health and safety culture perception by the surveyed employees. The studies are based on partial research results regarding the perception of occupational health and safety culture in enterprises of industrial sector connected thematically with the subject of this article. The results indicate a close relationship between trainings activities and perception of occupational health and safety culture. Next, the Author aims at presenting the most important recommendations for the studied enterprise as far as the worst-graded points are concerned, which in a further perspective could strengthen the occupational health and safety culture by means of, among other, a selection of proper trainings and adequate involvement of employees.

Opis:: The subject of the research conducted for the purpose of this article was the crisis generated by the COVID 19 pandemic, which continues to spread around the world. An attempt was made to define the current and anticipated consequences of the pandemic in terms of several areas of the broadly understood concept of safety. Purpose: The purpose of the article was to present one of the possible methods for examination of the multidimensional safety problems generated by the pandemic at a national and international level. Method: The article was prepared using a problem based approach and elements of the heuristic method: the new look method and the analogue method The research part was, in turn, based on critical document analysis. Results: The article demonstrates the possibilities offered by a holistic research perspective and the need for an inter and transdisciplinary approach. On the basis of the current experience with the pandemic, several theoretical models were suggested for examining the consequences of COVID 19 and prepare for similar challenges in the future The applicability of these models was previously tested empirically in relation to the crisis management system in Poland. Conclusions: The conclusions may have cognitive and practical value, especially in relation to safety systems and the related subsystem of health safety, as well as for education.

Opis:: Club coaches, national team coaches, as well as Olympic or Paralympic team coaches are those trainers who use their knowledge, professionalism and experience to lead their trainees to achieve sports results that satisfy athletes as well as coaches and authorities of Polish associations of various sports disciplines practiced by the athletes. A good trainer is the most important person in the coaching team, as they supervise the whole participation of their Olympians or Paralympians. Among the graduates of the Szczecin University’s Physical Education, there are many trainers of various sports disciplines. They are club coaches, national team coaches and they also hold coaching functions at the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. The aim of this paper is to: present the university (student) characteristics of the analyzed coaches and a physiotherapist who stand among the potential candidates to be appointed for the coaching and medical staff of their trainees (including the football team) who will fight for qualification standards guaranteeing them participation in the 32nd Summer Olympics or 16th Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020; showing the current coaching activity of the trainers and a physiotherapist in question; presenting the criteria and eligibility rules which the athletes of the coaches and the physiotherapist need to obtain to take part in the Tokyo Olympic or Paralympic competition. The research material consists of six graduates of the University of Szczecin, who majored in Physical Education, and who currently work primarily in the coaching team (Tomasz Kaźmierczak, Jacek Kostrzeba, Tomasz Lewandowski, Grzegorz Musztafaga, Miłosz Stępiński) and the medical/therapeutic team (Beata Buryta). All of the analyzed graduates of the University of Szczecin are among the trainers and physiotherapists who are candidates for the Polish national team for the 32nd Olympic Games or the 16th Paralympics Games Tokyo 2020. Tomasz Kaźmierczak – he will definitely be present for the fourth time at the Summer Games Tokyo 2020 as a coach for disabled rowers (previous participations in 2008, 2012, and 2016). The trainees of the coaches in question (except for the football team) can be included into the Polish team participating in the Summer Games Tokyo 2020 and at least compete in finals during the Olympic or Paralympic competition.

Opis:: Balancing sports practice at the highest world level with university education is a difficult – but feasible – task. An example of such skilful balance are some graduates of the Higher Pedagogical School in Szczecin, University of Szczecin, majoring in Physical Education, who graduated from the university with a successfully defended Master's thesis while being active athletes. The aim of this paper is: to present current students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Health Promotion of the University of Szczecin (WKFiPZ US) and a graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Szczecin (IKF WNP US) as potential candidates of various disciplines for the 32nd Summer Olympic or 16th Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020; to show their sports achievements in previous Olympic and Paralympic Games; to present the indicators and qualification rules that the analysed athletes must follow to represent Poland in the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. The study involved a group of seven athletes, current students of the University of Szczecin, Faculty of Physical Culture and Health Promotion: Patryk Dobek, Michał Gadowski, Marcin Lewandowski, Piotr Lisek, Katarzyna Mądrowska, Paulina Woźniak, Krystian Zalewski and one graduate of the Institute of Physical Culture of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Szczecin, Anna Harkowska. All of them are members of the national Polish team in their respective sport disciplines. They compete in their respective sports disciplines in which they strive for qualifying standards which guarantee a start in the 32nd Summer Olympic or the 16th Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. Piotr Lisek has the best chance of winning a medal in Tokyo in pole vault, as well as the following disabled athletes: Anna Harkowska in cycling, Michał Gadowski in rowing, and Paulina Woźniak in swimming. Marcin Lewandowski – a titled European medallist in the 800 m race will probably compete in his fourth Summer Olympics Tokyo 2020 (he participated in 2008, 2012, and 2016) and this time will fight for the best place amongst the finalist in the 1,500 m race.

Opis:: In a context of increasing pressure on performance, which affects almost all Algerian companies, question effectiveness of a policy of well-being at work depends on its impact on organizational performance: Numerous figures show costs of psychosocial risks, stress, absenteeism, etc. By virtue of the principle that a happy worker would also be a more productive worker, generating benefit for enterprise and a cost-reducing factor, even generating a better productive and commercial performance. Therefore, to reach these expectations, health culture and well-being at work must be part of basic values of actors of work world who are responsible for implementing an integrated preventive approach in all companies. As a result, an appeal is made to all managers and partners to make a joint commitment to effectively and efficiently reduce causes of work accidents and occupational diseases proliferation: company health, it’s health in the business. From now on, occupational health capital management and wellbeing of any company is one of its military priorities for its performance. It is part of company strategic objectives and must be taken into account in its daily operation.

Opis:: The aim of the paper is to explore how non-medical factors influence health and well-being, quality of life (QoL). Thus, cultural attendance takes a significant role on QoL because namely culture is an important domain for health and QoL simultaneously. To analyze the possible connection between culture and health, and, attendance of cultural events in case of social project Cultural Prescription presented in a paper as one of the important dimensions of QoL. The article provides the results of that social project from a perspective of Lithuanian health care practitioners. Continuing about QoL and state inputs to it, cultural policy domains are presented to create an overall picture of it and make conditions for connection of those two segments. Research results indicate its advantages and disadvantages, which identified by health care practitioners as intermediaries between project’s organizers and those who receive prescriptions (patients).

Opis:: Hungarian Americans share a unique culture of food traditions associated with their value system and way of life. Researchers, health care providers, and nutrition professionals counseling and treating a Hungarian-American population should develop a baseline of cultural understanding to achieve successful and long-lasting behavior change outcomes. The leading causes of death among Hungarians include ischemic heart disease (21.3%), stroke (13.4%), and cirrhosis (5.8%); all are directly or indirectly attributed to a traditional Hungarian diet coupled with a sedentary lifestyle. Health behaviors among Hungarian Americans can be partially explained by the Health Belief Model’s value-expectancy construct. Understanding cultural expectations and their associated values serve as a foundation for health promotion programming to reduce risk of cardiovascular disease and comorbidities. This review explored numerous facets of Hungarian-American dietary habits in psychosocial, economic, historical, and cultural contexts. Health education and health promotion considerations were also examined.

The paper discusses the relationship between improvements in health and safety management and development of organizational culture, concerning health and safety culture as well. Attitudes and approaches to health and safety management are discussed in companies operating in the Lower Silesia region basing on the finding of empirical studies. Finally features of organizational culture identified in the companies under research are examined in the context of developing health and safety culture.
В работе объясняется связь между повышением уровня безопасности и гигены труда (охраны труда) на предприятии и формированием организационной культуры, в том числе культуры охраны труда. Ссылаясь на результаты эмпирических исследований, авторка охарактеризовала подход к вопросу безопасности и гигены труда на предприятиях, расположенных на территории Нижней Силезии. При этом особое внимание уделяет она выявленным свойствам организационной культуры, рассматривая их в контексте формирования культуры охраны труда.
