Bádateľsky orientované vyučovanie je v ostatných rokoch veľmi často skloňované slovné spojenie v súvislosti so zvyšovaním kvality vyučovania na rôznych stupňoch škôl, v rôznych krajinách. Viacerí odborníci poukazujú na to, že význam experimentov je vo výučbe prírodovedne a technicky orientovaných predmetoch nezastupiteľný. V tejto súvislosti sme v našom výskume chceli zistiť postoje pedagógov – vysokoškolských učiteľov, ktorí vyučujú prírodovedné a technické predmety na možnosti využitia vzdialených reálnych experimentov (VRE) vo vyučovaní na vysokých školách. Na splnenie výskumného cieľa sme použili dotazník vlastnej konštrukcie. Zistili sme, že počet pedagógov využívajúcich VRE vo výučbe je nedostatočný, aj keď na jeho ovládanie nie sú potrebné nejaké špeciálne vedomosti a zručnosti v oblasti IT. Výsledky výskumu v troch krajinách Višegrádu potvrdili potrebu propagácie VRE medzi učiteľmi všetkých stupňov vzdelávacieho systému.
Inquiry-based learning is in recent years often inflected phrase in the context of increasing the quality of teaching at various school levels in different countries. Several experts point out that the importance of experiments in teaching science and technology-related subjects is indispensable. In this context, by our research we wanted to find out attitudes of teachers – university teachers who teach science and technical subjects on the possibilities of remote real experiments (RRE) in teaching at universities. To meet the research objectives, we used a questionnaire of our own design. We found, that the number of teachers using RRE in education is inadequate, even though its controls are not needed any special knowledge and skills in IT. Research results in three V4 countries confirmed the need to promote RRE among teachers of all levels of the education system.

Democratic movements and networks across borders are sharing programs and strategies that are helping the development of a set of ‘universals’: values and beliefs that define what can be called a democratic education. Such universals are contested, but work to help classrooms emerge that link schools with communities and build contextual relationships with students, families and members of the  broader society. Key to these democratic classrooms are tools and strategies of communication, deliberation and decision-making that provide for the sharing of multiple perspectives and work towards the construction of new knowledge. A recent study found that Polish students gained from their participation in such a program. Such studies help emphasize the roles schools and teachers can play in the development of democratic citizens.

Inclusive education is a controlled process that creates an environment for education and training, respect for diversity, abilities, and various educational needs of a child or pupil. It is topical in most countries’ professional and legislative discourse. It turns out that teachers’ attitudes are one of the main pillars of inclusive education policy implementation. The present research aimed to pursue connections and relationships between the teachers’ pro-inclusive attitudes, length of experience, and content of their learning activities. The research sample consisted of 926 kindergarten and elementary school teachers; the TAIS was used (Saloviita, 2015) as the research tool. Results showed that kindergarten teachers had more positive attitudes towards inclusive education than elementary school teachers. There are themes in education through which elementary school teachers can be developed pro-inclusive attitudes.

Despite the explosion of studies on social consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak, still little is known about the situation of teachers. This research report presents results of a study on teacher’s attitudes toward distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic and their associations with selected characteristicsrelated to the teacher’s profession. The study consisted in answering questions in an online survey. Nearly eight hundred correctly completed surveys were collected. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was applied to compare differences between the variables. The results show that the lowest averages on a Likert-type scale describe the cognitive component of attitudes, and the highest ones describe the behavioral component. Awareness of problems with the implementation of the curriculum and basic tasks of the school in the form of a distance education result in teachers’ competence increase and taking specific action. Gender and seniority are not associated with the teachers’ attitudes toward distance education. The type of school and the level of education were associated with attitudes towards distance education. Special schools teachers had the worst experience with distance education. The possible implications of these outcomes are discussed.

This paper is an attempt to show the changes in education in selected countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Article indicates the main directions of change in the philosophy of education and their structural implications for the education system, in response to the changing socio-political and dominant global trends while imitating structural solutions and attitudes present in Western societies. The primary source base constitute a public database (eng. The reports of the World Bank, and Education at Glance published by the OECD) as well as statistical analyzes prepared on their basis. The main aim of this article is to attempt to identify significant similarities and differences which the participation of countries undergoing a similar path of development.

The results of researches including self-education of students in the scope of didactic process at higher education school are presented in this article. The main aim is to seperate typological groups of students that depend on their attitudes towards self-education. 233 students of pedagogy were examined. The cluster analysis that was conducted, allowed to isolate 4 types of attitudes of students towards self-education in the scope of didactic process . The differences between seperated groups include mainly rate of commitment and their independence (autonomy) in the scope of learning. The most numerous group compose "dedicated and diligent" students.

This research report presents results of a study on kindergarten teacher’s attitudes toward distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic and their associations with selected characteristics related to the teacher’s profession. The tools that the teachers used for distance education were also described. 429 correctly completed surveys were collected. The most positive opinions concerned the development of one’s professional competencies, feeling positive emotions in the relationship with children and their parents. One of the worst assessed areas was those related to the possibility of supporting the social and emotional development of children. Most of the examined aspects of professional functioning, e.g. seniority, the location of the kindergarten, did not differentiate the attitudes. The differences mainly concerned teachers of special kindergartens, who in some aspects of attitudes (e.g. positive emotions towards this form of work) obtained lower results than teachers employed in other types of kindergartens.

The trend of inclusive education and the education of pupils with special educational needs puts increased demands also on the teacher training. The researches have so far proved that appropriate acting and responses of teachers require far more than just plain knowledge. Some authors highlight the teachers' attitudes as a crucial component for a successful integration of pupils with special educational needs into the classes. In her theoretical study, the author focuses on a research aimed at the attitudes of teacher trainees towards inclusive education. She emphasizes the importance of developing pro-inclusive attitudes among teachers-to-be before they actually enter the profession.

The purpose of the study is to assess attitudes toward robots among a Polish sample (N = 1044) using a series of questions focused on their perceptions within the labor market. Based on previous research, higher concerns toward and lower acceptance of robots were predicted for women, people performing manual and manual work, and people who are not familiar with robotics. The hypotheses were only partially confirmed. Orientation in the field of robotics is conducive to greater acceptance of the presence of robots in trust works professions. Unexpectedly, it turned out that people who declared performing physical work, compared to people performing other types of tasks, have a more affirmative attitude to the participation of robots in customer service occupations and to accept the autonomy of the robot to a higher degree. The results also showed that women are more concerned about the increased presence of robots in the labour market and less accepting of the replacement of humans by robots and the greater autonomy of intelligent machines. In addition, the analysis revealed that people with more knowledge in the field of robotics declare greater acceptance of the autonomous work of robots and in terms of replacing people with robots in the work environment, they also have fewer concerns about the market situation compared to those who do not consider themselves knowledgeable in this area.

The value of systematic participation in physical recreation is still unappreciated by the majority of society – but certainly it helps to improve health efficiently, slow down the process of aging in our organism and organize free time effectively. Formally – both in long term and in a wide range – physical education at school prepares children, teenagers and adults as well. Therefore, it is worth to analyze the previously mentioned experiences from the process of physical education among the graduates and observe their current participation in physical recreation. The aim of the present study was to investigate the attitudes of teachers and school administration towards inclusion. A distinctive feature of this study is the gradual increase in the number of its members as a result of the annual increase in the number of inclusive schools that was also reflected in the qualitative composition of the sample. The study was conducted with the use of a questionnaire distributed among teachers and school administration. The article presents the results of a 3-year study, which made it possible to track changes in their attitudes towards inclusive education. Results show that in general all the participants have a positive attitude towards inclusion. However, there is a difference between the groups of teachers and administrators, as well as the groups of teachers in rural and urban schools.

The long-term process of education, and above all, shaping the desired social attitudes among young citizens of each country is the basis of the future social order. Individual moral order translates directly into order in social structures and relations, which is important in the context of ensuring both internal and external security. In an orderly society, the so-called “strong moral backbone” is much more resistant to threats, and also much more effective in counteracting them. Unfortunately, the issue of moral education is not much emphasised in contemporary educational systems. Therefore, the main goal of this article is to identify the components of the moral education process as key factors shaping the contemporary order and social security. Thus, the issues of moral disorder as a source of real threats, both in the individual and social dimension, as well as the problem of moral education as the basis for shaping the desired social attitudes in the contemporary world, were analysed. In order to achieve the assumed goal, the following research methods (theoretical) were used: analysis, synthesis, abstraction, explanation, generalization, and inference. The research was carried out using the technique of examining documents and source materials.

This paper presents theoretical assumptions and psychometric properties of the Death Education at School Questionnaire (DESQ): a brief instrument that allows to measure attitudes toward human-centered death education as an element of school education. The participants were 375 university students – education and teaching majors. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses confirmed a two-factor structure of the DESQ, with two sub-scales: (1) Openness toward the presence of death education in a school and (2) Humanistic Basis of Death Education. Reliability of both sub-scales was acceptable and they significantly correlated with measures of attitudes towards death and human-centered school education. We posit that the DESQ can be used to measure adult education participants’ beliefs in death education and its place in school education on primary and secondary school levels.

The first educational environment of every human being is usually the family. This is where the lifelong process of shaping attitudes and acquiring the desired character traits begins. Just as social attitudes are shaped and strengthened on the basis of values derived from the family environment, the ethos of service is built, which develops and strengthens pro-defence attitudes. Nowadays, such attitudes are less and less often seen among young people due to the crisis of values in developed countries and the promotion of a consumerist lifestyle. Ensuring security in the 21st century depends not only on the military or the intellectual potential of citizens, but above all on the extremely important human factor, most often expressed by patriotic pro-defence attitudes allowing for heroic efforts, especially in the event of a real threat. The aim of this article is therefore to show the extremely important role of the family environment in shaping and strengthening pro-defence attitudes among the society of the 21st century. The research was carried out using theoretical methods, such as analysis, synthesis, generalisation, and inference, and using the technique of examining documents and source materials. Particular attention was paid, inter alia, to the need to build pro-defence attitudes among young people and to the educational functions of the family environment constituting the basis for the process of shaping pro-defence attitudes.

W badaniach wzięło udział 363 nauczycieli, pedagogów i psychologów szkolnych, reprezentujących szczeble edukacji od przedszkola po włączone w struktury obecnej szkoły podstawowej gimnazja. Repre- zentowano placówki zarówno specjalne, jak i ogólnodostępne. Pod uwagę wzięto takie zmienne, jak: wiek, typ placówki, poziom eduka- cji oraz zajmowane stanowisko. Wyniki badań pozwoliły na przyjęcie hipotez, iż zmienne: typ placówki, poziom edukacji oraz zajmowane stanowisko istotnie różnicują wyniki prób.
The article brings up extremely important issues for disabled people: selected conditions for the success of the educational inclusion process. The research was conducted in a positivist paradigm and was focused on the attitudes of teachers and determinants of these attitudes. For diagnostic purposes, the research tool “Scale for Testing Teachers’ Attitudes Towards Inclusive Education” was used. A total of 363 teachers, school counselors, and school psychologists took part in the study. They represented levels of education from kindergarten to middle school (which is currently part of primary school in any case). Both special and mainstream schools were represented in the study. Variables such as age, type of institution, level of education, and position were taken into account. The results confirmed the hypoth- eses that some variables-type of institution, level of education, and position-significantly discriminate the results of the groups.

  School is a unique environment of social interactions. It generates the variety of attitudes and behaviours. This paper demonstrates differences in the attitudes towards school of parents, according to their social status. The research study emphasises that social class is one of the key determinants of ways in which parents participate in their children’s education process. Likewise, it shows that educational aspirations of a certain group of parents, as well as their vision of what education should look like vary and make up specific‘class patterns’ of parental participation in education. This qualitative rese-arch clarifiesthat most parents from advantaged social background have a clear vision on education as well as expectations towards school. They are therefore more likely to demand and complain. On the contrary, parents from a lower social class tend to be conciliatory, unquestionably trusting the school institution.

Even though there are a plethora of CALL materials available to EFL teachers nowadays, very limited attention has been directed toward the issue that most EFL teachers are merely the consumers of CALL materials. The main challenge is to equip EFL teachers with the required CALL materials development skills to enable them to be contributors to CALL materials development (Motteram, 2011). Accordingly, this research was carried out to unravel the current challenges and difficulties in enabling EFL teachers to acquire CALL materials development and implementation skills. Three groups of EFL stakeholders, i.e. EFL teachers (n=208) who taught English at universities, schools, and language teaching institutions, teacher educators (n=15) who were university instructors and educated MA and PhD students of TEFL, and teacher trainers (n=32) who mainly prepared EFL teachers for teaching at private language teaching institutions, were identified and participated in this study. The findings of in-depth interviews and questionnaires confirmed that the three groups of participants had positive attitudes toward the use of CALL materials and development of CALL materials by EFL teachers while teacher educators had slightly more positive attitudes. It was further illustrated that the EFL teachers did not have the required basic skills to develop or use CALL materials. In addition, there are some impediments to the development of CALL materials by EFL teachers. Moreover, the findings of observations and interviews indicated that CALL materials development is not a part of teacher education/training programs in Iran and the EFL teachers do not use CALL materials in their EFL courses. Finally, the participants proposed some strategies based on which EFL teachers would be able to obtain the necessary skills to develop and use CALL materials.

The aim of the research was to construct a scale of teachers’ attitudes toward the education of gifted students that could identify the types and predictors of attitudes. The research was prompted by the current lack of tools with good psychometric parameters. A questionnaire was prepared for the needs of an international comparative study on teachers (N = 630) from six Central and Eastern European countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine. The theoretical models of giftedness and empirical data both indicated the important role teachers play in the development of students’ giftedness. The teachers’ characteristics were somewhat ambiguous. The article describes the assumptions, construction stages, and validation results of the questionnaire, which contained 64 statements (items) selected from a wide range of opinions after thorough substantive and linguistic consultations. The fundamental descriptive statistics for each item were analyzed. The final selection of items occurred as a result of confirmatory factor analysis, which did not demonstrate sufficient fit between the questionnaire’s theoretical structure and the data. Exploratory factor analysis, on the other hand, allowed for the version of the questionnaire with a three-factor structure to be adopted. Three types of attitudes were identified regarding gifted students’ education: one expressing a negative attitude and two positive ones. As a result of the validation, a scale of attitudes was created with appropriate psychometric characteristics, consisting of 33 items. Further studies are being conducted to interpret the three dimensions of the scale and the variables that differentiate them.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-concept and creative/ non-creative attitudes among undergraduate students majoring in special education. A total of 99 Polish university students participated in the study. A creative/non-creative attitude – the dependent variable was examined by a Creative Behaviour Questionnaire by Popek. Students’ self-concept (including self-esteem) – the independent variable was assessed with a Tennessee Self-Concept Scale by Fitts. The outcomes of the regression analysis proved that the strongest predictors were found for non-creative (reconstructive) attitudes. The personal barriers to developing students’ creative attitudes (concerning self-concept) were identified. The article contains conclusions in conjunction with practical implications.

The article deals with different attitudes parents have toward learning foreign languages in primary school. The main goal of the research was to determine the attitudes of parents towards learning foreign languages and whether there is a difference in their opinions depending on their level of education. The research was conducted on a group of parents of ninth-grade pupils attending Slovene primary schools (N = 200). Based on the results of our study, we found that the attitudes of parents towards learning foreign languages are fairly positive. A detailed analysis of the results, however, shows that there are differences in the attitudes of parents depending on the level of their education. Higher educated parents are more inclined to support learning foreign languages than parents with a lower level of education.

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja edukacji na rzecz przedsiębiorczości w szerszym kontekście współczesnych wyzwań cywilizacyjnych i gospodarczych, zwłaszcza w aspekcie trwającego światowego kryzysu gospodarczego, identyfikacja tych wtzwań oraz próba nakreślenia pożądanych kierunków ewolucji edukacji dla przedsiębiorczości. W artykule omówiono problem nauczania przedsiębiorczości, dokonując rozróżnienia pomiędzy nauczaniem przedsiębiorczości ekonomicznej a nauczaniem przedsiębiorczości pozaekonomicznej, ponadto poruszono w nim kwestię wertykalnej oraz horyzontalnej edukacji na rzecz przedsiębiorczości. Artykuł zakończono próbą ustalenia rekomendacji dla dalszego kształtowania edukacji na rzecz przedsiębiorczości. 
The purpose of the article is to present entrepreneurship education in the wider context of contemporary civilizational and economic challenges, especially in the context of the ongoing global economic crisis, as well as its identification, and to attempt to outline the desired direction of education for entrepreneurship evolution. The article discusses the issue of entrepreneurship education by making a distinction between non-economic and economic entrepreneurship. The issue of vertical and horizontal entrepreneurship education is also presented. Furthermore, the article includes an attempt to draw recommendations for the further development of entrepreneurship education.

The contribution is aimed at study of views and attitudes towards the contents of Technical education from the perspective of elementary school female teachers in Slovakia. Their measurement was carried out by a self-designed questionnaire which was a part of the research methods used (content analysis of curricular documents, international comparison, interview and observation). The originally designed questionnaire included items aimed at finding out views (evaluation of the importance of contents of education) and attitudes (cognitive, affective and conative components) of primary education teachers towards the contents of Technical education in the 4t form of elementary school. The research sample consisted of 334 female teachers. According to results of analysis, teachers considered such themes as traditions and crafts or catering to be more important than themes connected with the use of technical materials and design and they also had more positive attitudes to such themes. Another conclusion is that explanations of the views on the importance of the preferred themes were accounted for mainly by the affective component of teachers’ attitudes.

W publikacji przedstawiono najważniejsze zmiany, jakie zostały wprowadzone w szkolnictwie ponadgimnazjalnym zawodowym. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono nowej strukturze programów nauczania – głównie w zawodach z branży TSL – pod kątem odniesień do założeń CSR. Następnie dokonano analizy zapisów tych dokumentów pod względem możliwości wystąpienia zagrożeń w realizacji zapisanych tam celów oraz zadań.
The paper presents the most important changes that have been made in vocational upper secondary education. Particular attention was paid to the new structure of the curriculum - primarily in the competition of the TSL sector - in terms of their new structure and references to the principles of CSR. Then an analysis of the provisions of these documents in terms of the potential risks in the implementation stored there objectives and targets.
