Opis:
Rapid technological development in recent years has contributed to numerous changes in many areas of life, including education and communication. Establishing interdisciplinary collaboration brings many benefits, it is, however, often associated with numerous problems and inconveniences, as well as the need for constant improvement, lifelong learning, professional development (CPD) and finding an effective way of information transfer. Living in a constant rush makes the logical order of information transfer become a key aspect, as more and more operations are being done chaotically, using multiple online tools. Although collaboration happens to be complicated even for colleagues specializing in different aspects of the same profession, establishing cooperation between specific groups of interdisciplinary specialists, such as engineers and physicians, has a significant impact on modern diagnostics and medical treatment development. Based on some selected case studies investigated at Gdańsk University of Technology andMedical University of Gdańsk, supported by an overview of available education and collaboration tools, a solution based on the Moodle LMS platform has been proposed, implemented, and analyzed.

Opis:
The article presents the comparative analysis of the basic principles of programmed teaching, and constructivism for their subsequent use in creating open learning didactics in view of the collaborative approach and collaboration-oriented activities. What is investigated is the fact that the same idea forms the basis of the two paradigms (constructivism and personal learning): the humanistic character of education, taking individual characteristics into account, the activitybased approach, and the collaborative activity of a student. The assumptions about increasing the efficiency of the educational process, based on the ideas of integrative unity of these concepts, are justified. Further development of the personally-oriented approach in terms of such interconnected approaches as e-learning, connectionism, and combined learning is discovered. Simultaneously, programmed teaching – also experiencing its renaissance – can be used effectively and purposefully in educational collaboration in connection with other paradigms.

Opis:
The paper focuses on the long and complex editorial history of the first complete translation of Giacomo Leopardi’s Canti into Polish. Entitled Poezje and published by Instytut Wydawniczy ‘Biblioteka Polska’ in 1938, the volume was translated by Julia Dickstein-Wieleżyńska (1881–1948), a polyglot, poet, organiser of cultural events, feminist activist and literature and philosophy scholar. Dickstein-Wieleżyńska’s letters to Raffaele Pettazzoni (1883–1959), her close friend and mentor and himself an eminent scholar of religions, suggest that the original idea of the book as conceived in the early 1920s also envisaged the inclusion of translations by Edward Porębowicz (1862–1937), which had been made for his 1887 collection of Leopardi’s writings. Although Porębowicz had withdrawn his permission for publishing his versions in 1924 and Dickstein-Wielżyńska had to translate another eighteen poems, the manuscript was ready for printing at the beginning of 1925. Drawing on archival resources, the author investigates the reasons behind the conspicuous temporal distance between the drafting of the translations and their publication in the volume of Poezje. Examined from the perspective of recent translation and collaboration studies, Wieleżyńska’s letters shed some new light not only on the agents, modes and circumstances of translation and editorial work in the early twentieth century, but also on the position of women in the cultural and academic hierarchies of the time.

This paper gives an overview of the skills that are necessary in our century and provides a hypothesis that a dynamic and self-regulated e-learning system can help reach the same learning outcomes as the means of traditional classroom training. The paper emphasises the role of analogical thinking within the context of 21st century learning. It is also argued that effective e-learning comprises of individual learning, learning by collaboration, and learning in a real world environment which motivates learners to use e-learning materials independently, and, at the same time, provides a dynamic and collaborative learning process. Two case studies provide practical examples for proving the viewpoint that e-learning can provide successful learning outcomes if specific factors are taken into account.
