    Many positive behaviours of youth are related to their values. In the field of education value assessment is central. However value expression is often very ambiguous. Therefore in an attempt to measure values with more universal, global, and cross cultural perspectives, Nazam, Husain and Khan (2015) developed a spiritual values scale. The initial validation of the scale was based on item content analysis, item reliability, internal consistency, and exploration of the factorial structure of spiritual values. But values are subjected to change due to many factors. Therefore revalidation of the scale remains an important research consideration. The present study extends the initial validation of the scale by using structure equation modelling to revalidate the dimensionality and reliability of the spiritual values scale. The sample consisted of 300 adolescents. The results suggested that out of 27 items 4 items to measure spiritual values are ineffective. The scale with 23 items still remains a reliable and valid psychological tool to assess the spiritual values of adolescents.

    The present study investigated the construct validity of the Test Anxiety Questionnaire (Prüfungsangstfragebogen PAF; Hodapp, Rohrmann, & Ringeisen, 2011), a revised and shortened version of the German Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI-G), by comparing it with math anxiety. A sample of German fi fth- and sixth-grade students (N = 79; 61 % male) was analyzed. Math anxiety was measured by a German adaptation of the Math Anxiety Questionnaire (Fragebogen für Rechenangst FRA; Krinzinger et al., 2007). A signifi cant but moderate correlation between test anxiety and math anxiety was found. In regression analyses, math anxiety predicted math performance whereas test anxiety explained additional variance for both math and overall performance. It can be concluded that math and test anxiety have overlaps, but do not constitute the same construct. Thus, the results support the construct validity of the PAF indicating its usefulness in practical application.

    Aiming to illustrate how the relationship between the language system and its actualisations in usage is envisaged in contemporary linguistic models that draw from and modify de Saussure’s idea of langue and parole, the paper presents the vision of this relationship in Construction Grammar (a model developed in various variants by C.J. Fillmore, A. Goldberg, P. Kay, M. Fried and others), belonging to the widelyunderstood cognitive trend in linguistics. The focus is on the distinction between the concept of construction, a conventionalised pairing of form and meaning/function, being an element of the system, and the concept of construct, a real utterance used in communication, being an actualisation of many constructions. Construction Grammar is a usage-based model, assuming that language system generalisations emerge from frequent usage. Therefore, the article also discusses the phenomenon of coercion, i.e. “stretching” constructions to combine with “unfitting” lexemes, seen not as a breach of the system but as one of the mechanisms of its creative use to construct new meanings, which may lead to changes in constructions, to the emergence of new ones, and hence to the modification of the system.

    The Discounting Inventory (DI), originally developed in polish language, allows the measurement of individual differences in the delay, probabilistic, effort, and social discounting rates. The present study attempted to validate the DI’s psychometric properties using German university students and to compare the results to those from a sample of Polish university students. Over four hundred participants completed the DI and traditional discounting measures. A confirmatory factor analyses indicated that the original four-factor model of the DI provided an excellent fit for the German data and internal consistency was high. These outcomes were similar, if not superior, to those from the Polish sample. DI scores strongly correlated with traditional discounting measures scores in both samples, replicating previous results. These findings indicate that the DI is a valid measure for use in a sample from another cultural setting, which is potentially useful to both researchers and practitioners.

    The aim of our research was to confirm or reject the assumption that the intervention programme “E”-Empathy Development Programme-had a positive effect on changes in the cognitive and emotional component of empathy in the experimental group of students, future teachers. IRI-Interpersonal Reactivity Index (Davis, 1996) was used as the measuring tool. Data analysis of results showed differences in terms of desirable significant changes at the level of all IRI variables between the experimental group participating in experiential intervention and the group not participating in any intervention programme during testing.

    Niepełnosprawność jest terminem opisującym nie tylko pewien stan rzeczy, lecz jest także pojęciem, w którego rozumienie wbudowane są wartości i oceny, ukryte postulaty, zakamuflowane etykietowanie. Innymi słowy, pojęcie, o którym mowa, jest uwikłane w świat sensów i znaczeń ze swej istoty wieloznacznych, nieprecyzyjnych i zmiennych w zależności od czasu i okoliczności. Przyjmując takie założenie, celem, który przyświecał nam podczas tworzenia niniejszej publikacji, było zrekonstruowanie jednostkowego i społecznego rozumienia oraz postrzegania niepełnosprawności. Z tego względu w numerze znalazły się artykuły poświęcone takim zagadnieniom, jak: niepełnosprawność jako konstrukt społeczny, proces rekonstruowania tożsamości, przemiany ról społecznych czy style życia oraz aktywności osób niepełnosprawnych w różnych sferach i kontekstach.
    Disability is not just a term describing a certain state of affairs but also a notion, the understanding of which incorporates values and evaluations, hidden postulates, camouflaged labeling. In other words, the said notion is entangled in the world of senses and meanings that are polysemic, imprecise, and changeable regarding time and circumstances. Bearing this in mind, our goal while developing this publication was to reconstruct the individual and social understanding and perception of disability. Therefore, the issue includes articles devoted to such notions as: disability as a social construct, a process of reconstructing identity, transformation of social roles or the lifestyles, and activities undertaken by the disabled in various spheres and contexts.

    Pomimo rosnącego znaczenia rodzinności w przedsiębiorstwach rodzinnych, niewiele jeszcze wiadomo na temat jej wpływu na ich efektywność. Wykorzystując teorię funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw rodzinnych i zarządzania strategicznego, w niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę zidentyfikowania wymiarów rodzinności oraz omówiono wpływ każdego z nich na przewagę konkurencyjną przedsiębiorstwa. Na podstawie danych ze 149 polskich przedsiębiorstw rodzinnych empirycznie potwierdzono bezpośredni wpływ rodzinności na efektywność organizacyjną, mierzoną jako przewagę konkurencyjną. Znaleziono również dowody dla wielowymiarowości konstruktu „rodzinność”, który składa się z pięciu wymiarów. Przeprowadzone badania przyczyniają się do poszerzenia wiedzy w obszarze zarządzania strategicznego poprzez ukazanie, w jaki sposób specyficzny zbiór wymiarów rodzinności wpływa na efektywność przedsiębiorstwa rodzinnego.
    Despite the importance of familiness, still not much is known about its impact on firm performance. In this study the authors seek the better understanding of how dimensions of familiness affect the firm competitive advantage to address firm growth challenges. Drawing upon the family firms’ theory and strategic management theory the authors leverage a distinction between five dimensions of familiness and study their respective influence on firm competitive advantage. Using data from 149 Polish family firms, the authors empirically confirm the direct effect of familiness on firm performance as measured by competitive advantage. The authors also find evidence for multidimensionality of familiness construct which consists of five dimensions. The authors contribute to strategic management literature by showing how a specific set of familiness dimensions influences firm performance.

    This paper aims to present provide, on the basis of the analysis of the literature, the essence of entrepreneurial orientation, with particular emphasis on its components and dimensions. The results of the theoretical analyses indicate that the entrepreneurial orientation construct is multidimensional and can be conceptualized and manifested in a number of equally ways, at different levels of analysis (individual, team, organization). This paper assumes five-dimensional concept of entrepreneurial orientation.

    Opis:
    The paper concerns the quantitative assessment of the availability of the groups of machines of the two different types of construct /design/ – traditional and modular, which perform the same functions and in the analyzed groups constitute koon-type reliability structures. The main aim is to determine the size of the differences in the availability and reliability of such groups of machines at different values of the characteristics regarding the failure rate and renewal of their subassemblies and modules. The solution to the problem was obtained through digital simulation, for which the model and assumptions were developed by the authors. The obtained results indicate that the groups of the machines of modular construct /design/ are characterized by better reliability and availability, which may constitute one of the guidelines in the process of making investment decisions and planning the use and maintenance of this type of machines.
    Artykuł dotyczy ilościowej oceny gotowości grup maszyn o dwóch różnych typach konstrukcji: tradycyjnej i segmentowej, które pełnią te same funkcje i w analizowanych grupach tworzą struktury niezawodnościowe typu kzn. Głównym celem jest określenie, jak duże są różnice w gotowości i niezawodności takich grup maszyn przy różnych wartościach charakterystyk dotyczących awaryjności i odnowy ich podzespołów i segmentów. Rozwiązanie problemu uzyskano na drodze symulacji cyfrowej, do której model i założenia opracowali autorzy. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że lepszą niezawodnością oraz gotowością charakteryzują się grupy maszyn o konstrukcji segmentowej, co może stanowić jedną ze wskazówek w procesie podejmowania decyzji inwestycyjnych i planowania eksploatacji tego typu maszyn.

    Apart from originating contemporary norms and cultures among its viewers, Nigerian television series portray new and emerging constructions and practices that the populace is able to identify with. Recently, one television series that has become popular in Nigeria is Jenifa’s Diary. Its popularity stems from its incorporation of the Nigerian English, the British English and the indigenous Yoruba language, as well as the antics and codification(s) of the eponymous character, Jennifer. Her utility of a distinctive English language which deviates from the Nigerian Pidgin and the British English, has made this series popular among viewers. This has created a new linguistic culture and also appropriated what I term the Jenifanlingua franca. It is not a rarity to see children, teenagers and adults communicate in the same manner as Jennifer. Against this backdrop, this paper examines Funke Akindele-Bello’s television series Jenifa’s Diary as Nigerian social reality and a medium for cultural propagation. This study examines socio-cultural nuances in Jenifas Diary. The research is qualitative as it utilises the literary and content analysis methods. The study reveals that Jenifa’s Diary captures the plight of the African been to in the Western world and that the television serial is rich with its incorporation of the Nigerian Pidgin English, the British English and some indigenous Nigerian languages such as the Yoruba language, as well as the antics and codification(s) of the eponymous character, Jennifer. While Jenifa’s Diary and other Nigerian television series are products of social realities, they also create spaces for new socio-cultural landscapes. The study has been able to explain the imperative of television series on the Nigerian socio-cultural space. Cineastes should produce television serials that will educate and stimulate the populace towards becoming better people in the society.

    This article gives an overview of dimensional approach to religiousness; from the socioreligious core dimensions of religiousness of Stark & Glock (1968) to interdisciplinary model of religiosity od Huber with core dimensions, the centrality and content of religiosity (2003; 2008). The overview demonstrates the development of the succesive concepts of dimensional approach to religion as well as the constructed assesment techniques and their empirical applications. Then are the five core dimensions of religiousness (intelectual, ideological, experiencial, ritual, concequencial) synthetically organized by psychological contents. Especially the interdisciplinary model of religiosity of Huber is suitable for monitoring and interpreting religiousness of individuals, groups, of pantheistic or theistic patterns of religious expressions.

    Indonesia lacks standardized and adapted neuropsychological tests, which hampers their use in clinical practice. Recently, an Indonesian Neuropsychological Consortium has initiated the adaptation of ten internationally commonly used tests for use in Indonesia. Here, we report the analyses of the psychometric properties, including preliminary normative data, the reliability, the underlying cognitive constructs, and the effects of age and education on these constructs as validity indicators. Four hundred ninety healthy adults living on Java Island participated in this study. All subjects completed the Indonesian Neuropsychological Test Battery (INTB) for diagnosis of various cognitive functions. The test-retest reliability was determined in a parallel study with fifty participants. Underlying cognitive constructs were assessed with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) revealed seven constructs that accounted for 62.84% of the total variance, and the goodness of fit of the model was good. ANOVA’s showed significant effects of age on six constructs (i.e., speed of visuospatial information processing, auditory short-term and working memory, speed and inhibitory control, and verbal learning ability). Age effects were not found for executive internal language. All constructs showed effects of education, except for recall and verbal learning ability. Interestingly, as expected, not all constructs showed the same age-dependent decline, and if present, all seem to be unique. It is concluded that the psychometric properties of the INTB justify their usage for the Indonesian population.

W tekście przedstawiono i wskazano na znaczenie poczucia wolności, podmiotowości, twórczości, na potrzebę wyzwalania aktywności, świadomości i czujności dziecka, a także potrzebę prowadzenia ustawicznej mediacji i dialogu przez zakres tożsamości indywidualnie kształtowanej z zakresem dziedziczonym w rodzinie i społecznie warunkowanym poza rodziną. Przedstawiono i poddano analizie liczne przykłady kształtowania się tożsamości dziecka jako ideologicznego konstruktu powinnościowego w kontekście wartości rodzinnych, oczekiwań i norm instytucjonalnych, podkreślając szczególnie problem potrzeb i aspiracji indywidualnych. Zwrócono uwagę na efekt mediacji i dialogowania między zakresami tożsamości i z tym związane dylematy i wyzwania edukacyjne, potrzebę wspierania potencjału tożsamościowego dziecka, wdrażania do refleksyjności i wyzwalania myślenia pytajnego.

The article aims to make people aware of the importance and the scope of an individually shaped identity in the complex process of shaping a child’s multi-range and multi-dimensional identity. Materials and methods. Review and analysis of the literature on the subject. Results and conclusions. The text presents and points to the importance of the sense of freedom, subjectivity, creativity, the need to trigger the child’s activity, awareness and vigilance in this process, the need for continuous mediation and dialogue through the scope of identity individually shaped with the scope inherited in the family and socially conditioned outside the family. Numerous examples of the formation of a child’s identity as an ideological obligatory construct in the context of family values, expectations, and institutional norms were presented and analyzed, emphasizing in particular the problem of individual needs and aspirations. Attention was paid to the effect of mediation and dialogue between the scopes of identity and the related dilemmas and educational challenges, the need to support the identity potential of the child, implementation to reflectivity, and triggering interrogative thinking.

    This paper concerns three significant concepts in Maria Komornicka’s writings: body, spirit and gender. The first two are closely related to each other, thus initial paragraphs are devoted to them both. On the basis of these reflections, I draw some conclusion about the image of gender created by the poet. The notion of gender is analysed in terms of Young Poland discourse of gender and from the perspective of modern methodologies: feminist criticism as well as gender and queer studies. This paper aims at encouraging the reader to reinterpret M. Komornicka’s output with contemporary awareness.

    This study was conducted because a real method for measuring safety climate had never been developed and assessed in Serbian industry. The aim of this paper was to start the process of developing a safety climate questionnaire that could be used in Serbia. As a starting point a 21-item questionnaire was adopted after an extensive literature review. The questionnaire was distributed at several Serbian factories; 1098 workers responded. After a statistical analysis of the data obtained with the questionnaire and a critical comparison with the available reference results, a final questionnaire with 21 questions, divided into 7 groups, was developed. The 7 groups of questions (factors) were safety awareness and competence, safety communication, organizational environment, management support, risk judgment and management reaction, safety precautions and accident prevention, and safety training.

    Stuart Richie’s book discusses social, political, and cultural influences on science. In a series of well documented cases Richie shows how many of top scientific journals publish poorly executed studies with dubious conclusions. Such publications distort a public image of science as an unbiased search for truth. The roots of such practices, Richie traces to the way science enterprise is done in academia and in private research centers, where only positive and “expected” results are valued. While according to Richie there is a small chance to cure scientific practices from these ills, science itself is and remains the search for truth, even if our social moors make it so much harder.

    Celem artykułu jest odniesienie się do wyzwań metodycznych związanych z walidacją konstruktów teoretycznych opracowanych w ramach normatywnych badań prowadzonych na gruncie połączonym rachunkowości finansowej i zarządczej. Dyskusja problematyki walidacji została przeprowadzona na podstawie studiów literaturowych z zakresu metodyki badań w naukach o zarządzaniu oraz własnych doświadczeń badawczych. Jako punkt odniesienia rozważań i przykład ilustrujący poruszane wątki został przyjęty projekt badawczy z zakresu narracyjnych ujawnień ryzyka, w efekcie którego powstała propozycja normatywnego konstruktu teoretycznego, i w ramach którego przeprowadzono walidację charakterystyczną dla podejścia konstruktywistycznego. Zidentyfikowano dwa zasadnicze kryteria walidacji konstruktów teoretycznych, które mają docelowo być podstawą normatywnych rozwiązań aplikacyjnych: adekwatność i możliwość nauczania. Integrację walidacji z pozostałymi etapami postępowania badawczego zilustrowano przebiegiem wybranego projektu.
    The article aims to refer to the methodological challenges related to the validation of theoretical constructs developed as part of the normative research conducted basing on a combined financial and management accounting. The discussion of the issue of validation was carried out based on literature studies in the field of research methodology in management sciences and conclusions from the research experience. A research project in the field of narrative disclosures of risk was adopted as a reference point for considerations and an example illustrating the topics discussed, as a result of which a proposal for a normative theoretical construct was created, and under which a validation characteristic of the constructivist approach was carried out. Two basic criteria for the validation of theoretical constructs have been identified, which are to ultimately constitute the basis of normative application solutions: adequacy and teachability. The integration of validation with the remaining stages of the research procedure was illustrated by the course of the selected project.

    In an increasingly competitive and fast-paced economy, creativity and entre¬preneurship are increasingly being demanded. Recent years have seen the emergence and growth of a new type of research: entrepreneurial creativity and creative entrepreneurs¬hip, which are aimed to integrate creativity and entrepreneurship. However, little is known about relationships between organizational creativity and corporate entrepre¬neurship and whether they in fact are different constructs. This paper begins to answer those questions by presenting a holistic model of creative corporate entrepreneurship grounded in creativity theory, entrepreneurship theory, and strategic management theory.

    Occupational hardiness is a pattern of attitudes and strategies that stimulates an individual to perceive stressful work situations as controllable, worth dealing with, and contributing to professional development. One of the popular tools in the world to measure this construct is the Occupational Hardiness Questionnaire (OHQ) developed by Moreno-Jiménez et al. It has a three-factor structure, proven construct validity, and good internal consistency. The overarching aim of the study was to prepare a Polish adaptation of the OHQ based on a sample of Polish employees working in health care, education and science, and customer service. The questionnaire-based research was conducted in two stages, with two independent samples. The first study was cross-sectional. Their results were used to estimate the factorial validity, construct validity, and internal consistency of the adapted tool. Participants in the first study were 1,212 employees (originally 1,315) of health care (n = 400), education and science (n = 410), and customer service (n = 400) sectors. The second study, which was longitudinal in nature, included two measurements and was used to estimate test–retest reliability. Of the 400 participants (employees of customer service), 205 completed the questionnaire in two measurements. The Polish version of the OHQ has a three-factor structure, confirmed construct validity and good internal consistency. The Polish version of the OHQ is ideal for scientific research, but can also be used in practice: in career counseling, recruitment, selection, or screening.

    The paper sets out to explore the ways the traditional Western opposition “nature vs. civilization” is reworked in Toni Morrison’s A Mercy. The first aspect addressed in the paper is the author’s recasting of the original Puritan myth of America as New Eden by demonstrating  the historical impossibility of human-nature and human-human harmony on the “new” continent. This is achieved through presenting Jacob Vaark’s New England farm as a metaphor of Eden/enclosed garden transmogrifying from Utopian to Dystopian mode of functioning in the text, with apparent ecofeminist overtones.The second issue dealt with is “wilderness” as  one of the basic concepts underlying American Puritan world picture. The paper argues that in the novel “wilderness” as an inherent characteristic of England’s transatlantic territorial expanses, including both their physical and human resources, loses its essentialism and is unmasked as a Eurocentric cultural construct. In addition, the novel extends the notion of “civilization” beyond its Eurocentric boundaries featuring two non-European civilizations – Native American and African – as suggesting alternative (and much more positive) models of “nature-civilization” relationship.

    Podjęty temat dotyczy sposobów konstruowania problemów badawczych w strategii badań jakościowych nad edukacją. Celem tekstu jest wskazanie możliwości zastosowania koncepcji konstruktów myślowych Alfreda Schütza podczas wyznaczania przez badacza obszaru problemowego, ujętego w strukturę pytań pierwszego i drugiego stopnia. Przywołane założenia teoretyczne problematyzowania celu badań posłużyły do opracowania przedmiotu refleksji – zjawiska pułapki w podejmowaniu decyzji badawczych. Pozwoliły też na rozważenie korzyści z doświadczenia pułapki jako punktu zwrotnego w praktyce badacza.
    This paper explores the process of the construction of research problems in the qualitative research strategy on education. The aim is to indicate the possibility of applying the Alfred Schütz’ concept of mental constructs during the determining the research problem area. This concept includes constructs of the first and second degree in the research questions. The theoretical assumptions of problematization were used to develop the object of reflection – the phenomenon of a „trap” in making research decisions. They also allowed the author to consider the benefits of „the trap” experience as a turning point in the researcher’s practice.

    W referacie zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki pomiarów różnych parametrów prototypów szynoprzewodów z izolacją stałą. Prezentowane poniżej szynoprzewody różnią się od istniejących już na rynku z uziemioną obudową (ekranem). Jest to trudny do zaprojektowania i skonstruowania tor prądowy m.in. ze względu na wysoki poziom wyładowań niezupełnych już przy niedużych napięciach.
    Chosen measuring results related to partial discharges and volume resistance of specific busbars are presented in the article. These busbars differ from existent one at the market from earthing enclosure (screen). Such a current path is difficult to design and construct among other things by reason of high level of partial discharges even under relatively low voltages. The next problem consists in tendency to growth of volume resistance of busbar insulation depending on the length of the path. Propositions how these faults can be limited are considered at the end of the article.

    The article is dedicated to the issue of developing skills and acquiring economic knowledge in early school-age children, in particular in the field of financial education. The concept of the innovative educational tool “I Think, Decide, Act-finances for the youngest” and the process of testing this didactic material for two and half years in grades 1–3 of primary schools in Poland were presented. The purpose of the above mentioned tool is to provide children with cognitive and social educational situations for independent and creative activity that requires solving economic, financial and social problems. The main research methods were a parallel group experiment and an interview with teachers. The results of studies comparing the level of knowledge and financial-mathematical skills of children in the pretest and post test indicate a statistically significant increase in the level in experimental group in comparison with the control one. The teachers’ opinions on the application of the innovative tool in school practice show its didactic and educational value, with a particular emphasis on the quality of proposed mathematical open-ended problems related to the practical context.

    Narracja nie jest zjawiskiem wyłącznie językowym, lecz fenomenem o naturze kognitywnej aktywizującym się za sprawą odszyfrowania treści komunikatu. Owa aktywizacja warunkuje powstanie u czytelnika konstruktu mentalnego rozpatrywanego jako skrypt narracji. Zależnie od medium, w jakim następuje realizacja opowieści, odbiorca w odmienny sposób wytwarza skrypt, nawet jeżeli opowieść oparta jest na podobnym rdzeniu fabularnym. Problem ten ma szerokie zaplecze teoretyczne, jednak dotychczas żaden z badaczy nie pokusił się o przeanalizowanie na wybranym przykładzie, jak przekład intermedialny wpływa na wytworzenie konstruktu mentalnego. W niniejszym artykule zostaje podjęta próba uzupełnienia tej luki. Analiza, wykorzystująca ustalenia narratologii transmedialnej oraz komparatystyki mediów, zostanie przeprowadzona oparciu o film „Pokot” Agnieszki Holland i jego literacki pierwowzór - „Prowadź swój pług przez kości umarłych” Olgi Tokarczuk.
    The narration is a phenomonenon not only in a linguistic field, but also cognitive one which is activates when receiver descriptes the message. The activisation has an influence on receiver’s mental costruct which is a script of narration. Depending on medium in which the story is realized the receiver in different way creates the script, even when the story has the same story’s core. This problem has a widen theoretical background, but still none of researches has analized how intermedial translation influcences on creating the mental construct. In the article I will try to fill this gap. The analize, using arrangements known from transmedial narratology and media comparating studies, will be conduct basing on a film „Pokot” filmed by Agnieszka Holland and its literary prototype - „Prowadź swój pług przez kości umarłych” written by Olga Tokarczuk.

    The paper presents the early poetic works of Gellu Naum, leading representative of the Romanian surrealism. The point of departure for considerations becomes the theoretical background of Naum’s aesthetic premises. On that basis, surrealism is being reconsidered as a special type of sensibility reclined on an unruly imagination rather than anarchical doctrin. With a starting glimpse of Naum’s debut (The Incendiary Traveller, 1936), surrealism in Romania has earned a lot of consciousness, confirmed by several volumes (particularly Naum’s Vasco da Gama, 1940). The new lease of life brought to the movement by the Romanian group was incontestable.The principal part of the paper is devoted exclusively to the analysis of Gellu Naum’s early masterpieces – The Incendiary Traveller (1936) and Vasco da Gama (1940). The main aim is to reconstruct Naum’s imaginary areas full of unseen things that underlie the surfaces of the quotidian and consciousness. The Romanian poet concentrates on the liberation of the subject or a person from the necessity of identity. The Surrealist hero (both Vasco da Gama and The Incendiary Traveller) has to be at the same time a textual construct, only a toy in the demonically animated inorganic things’ hands, an inert object, and, at least, the poet’s alter ego, exploratory of the irrational and marvellous, a grand voyager over the devouring sea of objects (sea of bones), a platform build on the basis of free imagination. The goal of the Gellu Naum’s textual representative is to move between worlds, to participate in a fluid series of magical changes in the permanent process of seeking for a secret identity.

    This text offers a reading of Ivo Andrić’s novel The Bridge on Drina River (1945) placing special emphasis on the economies of utterance and the (re)construction of sto-ry/myth produced from the position of various native informants at the level of authorial intent. It argues that the position of colonial subjects/objects in the novel, as uttered and emphasised by Andrić could best be read from a post-colonial perspective. That opens two possibilities of reading Andrić and South Slavic historical novels in general. The first one concerns the understanding of space of the South European narration/stereotyping as the space of imperial/colonial power games. The second one deals with consequences of that presumption and appropriation of histori-cal realms that deal with the space of narration in connection with various latter naturalisation of the text(s). The emphasis is put on Andrić’s novel. However, this reading of the text’s construc-tions also opens the way of re-reading other “historical” novels and their ideological/political constructs in South Slavic and wider Central European/Eastern European context/discourse.
    Artykuł proponuje lekturę powieści Ivo Andrićia Most na rzece Drnie (1945), kładąc specjalny nacisk na ekonomię wypowiedzi i (re)konstrukcję opowieści (mitu) produkowanej na poziomie autorskiej intencji z perspektywy różnych natywnych informatorów. To dowodzi, że pozycja kolonialnego podmiotu/przedmiotu w powieści, wypowiedziana i uwydatniona przez Andricia, może być najlepiej odczytana z perspektywy post-kolonialnej. W ten sposób otwierają się dwie możliwości czytania Andrićia i, w ogóle, południowosłowiańskiej narracji stereotypi-zowanej jako przestrzeń imperialnych/kolonialnych gier władzy. Drugi jest konsekwencją po-przedniego założenia i zawłaszczenia historycznych realiów, które rządzą przestrzenią narracji w związku z różnymi wtórnymi naturalizacjami tekstu(ów). Nacisk zostaje tu położony na powieści Andrićia. Jednakże czytanie konstrukcji tekstu otwiera również drogę do ponownego odczytania innych „historycznych“ powieści oraz ich ideologicznych konstruktów w południowo-słowiańskim i szerzej środkowo-wschodnioeuropejskim kontekście/dyskursie.

    Contemporary paganism, like other new religious movements, includes theoretical explanations and substantiations of the doctrines created by ideologists of associations, oral speeches of leaders, replicated in the form of narratives, electronic carriers, fixed prophecies, and writings of adherents (usually within the first generation). Russian paganism of the XXth–XXIst centuries has its own “novoyaz”, created by the founders of communities and implemented in ritual practice. Modern “pagan language” is manifested in onomastics, ritual terminology and in the construction of magical verbal formulas. «Novo-lingua» used by today’s polytheists is represented by “science-like” and “ethnically enriched” groups; they are characterized by the use of the practice of text complexity. In addition, following other NSDs, pagans are “determined” by a set of standardized markers that are expressed in basic concepts and expressions. One of the characteristic features of the successfully implemented project “pagan seal as a commodity” is the eclecticism of the source of traditional paganism and the new - constructed. This specificity is realized through the textual work of the leader-author, the formula “copy-paste”, due to which the pagan “new people” acquires the features of a full-fledged “historical” source. In this connection, it is possible to draw parallels between the «new language of new pagans» and the phenomenon of “folk-stories”. Like the latter, the “historical” creations of modern leaders from nativism pretend to be true in the last instance.
    Особенности нового языка («Новоязы») русских язычников XXI века. Современное язычество, подобно иным новым религиозным движениям (НРД), включает теоретические изложения и обоснования учений, созданные идеологами объединений, устные выступления руководителей, растиражированные в форме нарративов, электронных носителей, фиксированные пророчества, сочинения адептов (как правило, в рамках первого поколения). Русское язычество XX-XXI веков обладает собственным «новоязом», созданным основателями общин и реализуемым в ритуальной практике. Современный «языческий язык» проявляется в ономастиконе, обрядовой терминологии и в конструировании магических словесных формул. «Новоязы», используемые сегодняшними политеистами, представлены «наукообразными» и «этнически обогащенными» группами, для них характерно использование практики усложнения текста. Кроме того, вслед за другими НРД, язычники «определяются» набором стандартизированных маркеров, нашедших выражение в базовых понятиях и выражениях. Одной из характерных черт успешно реализуемого проекта «языческая печать как товар» является эклектизм источниковой базы традиционного язычества и нового – конструируемого. Данная специфика реализуется через текстологическую работу лидера-автора, формулу «копировать-вставить», за счет которой языческий «новояз» приобретает черты полноценного «исторического» источника. В этой связи можно провести параллели между «новым языком новых язычников» и феноменом «фолк-хистори». Подобно последней, «исторические» творения современных лидеров от нативизма претендуют на истинность в последней инстанции.

    The study is based on the research analyses of K.V. Petrides’ (2011) trait emotional intelligence construct verified by his Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-TEIQue. Verification of the EI trait construct by stepwise regression analysis confirmed that it is determined only to a certain extent by the Big Five personality factors theory (14%) (by the TIPI questionnaire, Gosling, 2003) and by perception and experiencing of positive (15%) and negative (13%) mental states (by the SEHW questionnaire, Džuka & Dalbert, 2002). Thus, the emotional intelligence trait as a consistent construct partially captures individual variability of emotional aspects otherwise scattered across personality theories.

    Artykuł poświęcony jest rzeczywistym problemom przemyślenia metodologicznej zmiennej wartości, możliwości modelowania jednostki w zmieniającym się środowisku społecznym. Udowodniono prognozujące potwierdzenie jako podstawę postklasycznego badania rozwoju osobistego systemu – integracyjnego paradygmatu interpretacji zjawisk psychicznych, co pozwala zrozumieć specyfikę modelowania nieliniowego profilu osobowości współczesnego człowieka w wieloczynnikowym i wielokierunkowym wpływie społeczno-kulturowym. Proces modelowania autorskiego konstruktu osobistego występuje jako akt tworzenia transformacji subiektywnej rzeczywistości psychicznej. Jest on unikalnym modelem osobowego wymiaru przestrzeni społeczno-kulturowej

    The body and the stigma. Defloration as an act of building femininity The paper offers an analysis of the cultural meanings of the bodily attributes and practices related to virginity and defloration; the most important are “bloodstains” (a sign of the loss of virginity) and “penetration” (regarded as the only “true” form of sexual intercourse). The obligation to present the defloration and the shame that accompanies it are the vantage point to the analysis of the forms of stigmatizing femininity. A deconstruction of the meanings acquired by penetration led me to a conclusion that the cause-effect relation between gender and culturally defined sexual practices (including sexual orientation) is not only inseparable, but also different than it has usually been thought. It is not the gender that determines an individual’s sexuality, but the culturally imposed sexual practices build the gender. Ciało i piętno. Defloracja jako wytwarzanie kobiecościArtykuł poświęcony jest kulturowym znaczeniom cielesnych atrybutów i praktyk związanych z dziewictwem i defloracją. Szczególne miejsce wśród nich zajmuje plama krwi jako znak obwieszczający utratę dziewictwa oraz penetracja powszechnie uważana za jedyny „prawdziwy” seks. Przymus uwidocznienia defloracji oraz wstyd z tym związany traktuję jako punkt wyjścia do rozważań na temat piętnowania kobiecości. Dekonstrukcja narosłych wokół penetracji znaczeń pozwala z kolei dostrzec, że związek przyczynowo-skutkowy między płcią kulturową a kulturowo definiowanymi praktykami seksualnymi – w tym orientacją seksualną – jest nie tylko nierozerwalny, ale i odwrotny, niż zwykło się sądzić. To nie płeć kulturowa decyduje o seksualności jednostki, lecz kulturowo wymuszone praktyki seksualne produkują płeć.

    В статье рассматривается учительская рецензия на письменные тексты учеников в аспекте современных форм оценки в обучении родному языку в Болгарии. Текст рецензии характеризуется как языковой конструкт и как лингводидактический ресурс для повышения эффективности процесса обучения. Основой для исследования послужили 784 учительских рецензий, написанных около 160 преподавателями болгарского языка и литературы в период с 2010 по 2018 годы. Структурно-грамматические и семантические показатели рецензии представлены с учетом экстралингвистических факторов. Именно они обосновывают целесообразность системной, иерархизированной по сложности деятельности учащихся, направленной на восприятие, осмысление, сопоставление текстов рецензий, на редактирование своих текстов в соответствии с выявленными в рецензиях учителей недочетами и т.д. 
    The article focuses on one aspect of feedback and modern forms of assessment in native language teaching in Bulgaria – the teacher’s review of students’ written texts. In this study, the review text is characterized in two ways – as a language construct and as a linguodidactic resource for improving the effectiveness of educational activities. The characteristics of the review as a static text, which is complete and coherent, are summarized on the basis of 784 teacher reviews, provided by about 160 teachers of Bulgarian language and literature in the period 2010–2016. The dynamic characteristics of the review are revealed with accents taken from a two-year experimental work conducted in three schools, presenting the importance of systematic, hierarchically complex activities of the students in perception, comprehension, comparison of reviews, editing of students’ written texts in accordance with the deficits pointed out in the teachers’ reviews, etc. Based on the presented results of a survey with 139 native language teachers and 249 students, effective educational models of formative assessment are summarized and analyzed, related to the active involvement of students in the assessment / self-assessment processes.

    This study reports on the validation of the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), a self-report, Likert-scaled instrument, developed by Pintrich et al. (1991). The instrument consists of two sections, i.e., motivation in the process of self-regulated learning and the learning strategies of university students. The adaptation concerned only the first section, the learning strategies section was not part of the adaptation. The sample consisted of 284 students of the Faculty of Humanities at Tomas Bata University in Zlín (256 women and 28 men). The average age was 24, ranging from 19 to 49, with a standard deviation of 6.4 years. Within the adaptation of the MSLQ for the Czech educational environment, the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, Cattell’s scree test and parallel Monte Carlo analysis were performed. As a result, a 3-factor model was generated. The motivation scales tap into three broad areas: (1) expectancy (represented by academic self-efficacy; 4 items), (2) value (represented by task value; 6 items), and (3) affect (represented by test anxiety; 7 items). The internal consistency (Alphas) of the subscales varies from 0.76 to 0.84. Significant correlation between Academic self-efficacy and Task value subscales was.377. The results correspond to the theoretical model.

Autor stawia tezę, że obraz dziecka i rodzica orazich wzajemnych relacji może w subtelny sposób wspierać kształtowanie niektórychpostaw społecznych względem szczęśliwego dzieciństwa jako dzieciństwa nastawionegow znacznej mierze na konsumpcję. Autor konfrontuje te obrazy z wnioskami,płynącymi z analiz znacznie wcześniejszych obrazów, pochodzących z doby PRL.
    The text presents the attempt of critical discourse analysis present in theTV series “Rodzinka.pl” with regard to promotion of childhood and a happy family,as well as their potential compatibility with the value system of the consumptionsociety. The author proposes a thesis that the image of a child and a parents, s well astheir bilateral relations, may slightly support the formation of some social attitudestoward a happy childhood as the childhood oriented mostly toward consumption.The author confronts these images with the conclusions from the analyses of mucholder images from the time of the Polish People’s Republic.

    W referacie został podjęty temat trzech kluczowych dla twórczości Marii Komornickiej zagadnień: ciała, ducha i płci. Dwa pierwsze tematy ściśle się ze sobą łączą, dlatego początkowe akapity dotyczą ich obu. Na podstawie tych refleksji wysnuto wnioski dotyczące obrazu płci w twórczości autorki. Pojęcie to jest analizowane zarówno w kontekście młodopolskiego dyskursu płci, jak i – z perspektywy nowoczesnych metodologii: krytyki feministycznej oraz studiów genderowych i queerowych. Referat ma na celu zachęcenie odbiorcy reinterpretowania dorobku Komornickiej z punktu widzenia współczesnej świadomości.
    This paper concerns three significant concepts in Maria Komornicka’s writings: body, spirit and gender. The first two are closely related to each other, thus initial paragraphs are devoted to them both. On the basis of these reflections, I draw some conclusion about the image of gender created by the poet. The notion of gender is analysed in terms of Young Poland discourse of gender and from the perspective of modern methodologies: feminist criticism as well as gender and queer studies. This paper aims at encouraging the reader to reinterpret M. Komornicka’s output with contemporary awareness.

    This article analyses early prosaic texts by Vera Linhartova, i.e. texts written from 1957 to 1961, but published between 1964 and 1968. The focus is especially on discourse ana- lysis of four texts: Povidka nesouvisla (written 1958), Metuv źivot v obrysech (written on 23rd Julyl960), Rozprava o zdviźi (written in 1960) and Raći kanon na besovske tema (written on 15th December 1960). This contribution tries to introduce grammatical, styli- stics and literary means, which are used to demonstrate the creative power of the word in the poetics of this author. It is pointed out that explicit (verbal) and implicit (structural) manifestation of the author’s “creative power” over her texts is conditioned by the ontolo- gical-existential dimension of the author’s poetics, but is further orientated towards aims relating to communication.

    Państwo ukraińskie składa się z różnych kultur i tożsamości. Ukraina znajduje się obecnie na tym etapie rozwoju, kiedy tożsamość cywilna jest podstawą konsolidacji różnych społeczności etnicznych i kulturowych. Dla ukraińskiego społeczeństwa ważne jest jednak także rozwijanie tożsamości etnicznej, lokalnej, regionalnej, europejskiej i globalnej. Racjonalny rozwój tożsamości jest warunkiem pomyślnego rozwoju Ukrainy.
    Украинское государство состоит из разных культур и самобытности. В настоящее время Украина находится на этом этапе развития, когда гражданская идентичность является основой для консолидации различных этнических и культурных общин. Однако для украинского общества также важно развивать этническую, местную, региональную, европейскую и глобальную идентичность. Рациональное развитие идентичности является предпосылкой успешного развития Украины.

W świetle rozpatrywanej kształtowanej architektonicznej przestrzeni szans nakładamy wyobrażenia, interpretacje bez roszczeń do bycia jedynie słusznymi. W konfrontacji i dialogu wytracają się raz jedne, innym razem drugie właściwości przestrzeni, obiektów i miejsc, bo te pozostają zależne od czasu, także tego, w jakim znajduje się dany odbiorca.
    The research issues undertaken concern the deliberations on whether the need for semantic designation of spaces, objects and places still exists. Do the form and matter indeed have to be filled with content, contain messages in the layer of significance? In the light of the formed architectural space of opportunities considered here, we superimpose ideas and interpretations, without any claim for them to be the only right ones. In confrontation and dialogue, the properties of space, objects and places disappear alternately, as they remain dependent on time – including the one of the recipient’s location.

    Статья посвящена анализу проблемного поля личностного развития подростковв современном информационном обществе эпохи постмодернизма. Выделены тенденции мо- дификации социально-психологического профиля личности в период взросления. В качествезначимой сферы самовыражения подростков обозначен контент образования. Рассмотреныбазовые ориентиры реформирования образовательного пространства. Обозначена перспективность системно-интегративной научной парадигмы в реализации образовательной реформы. Эмпирическая часть исследования представляет результаты развития личностных конструктов подростков в школах разного типа (среднеобразовательной школы и гимназии). Сделан вывод о необходимости расширения вариативности личностного развития учащихся как условии полноценной реализации творческого потенциала подростков в образовательном пространстве.
    Artykuł poświęcony jest analizie problematyki rozwoju osobowości nastolatków we współczesnym społeczeństwie informacyjnym epoki postmodernizmu. Ustalono tendencje zmian profilu społeczno-psychologicznego osób w okresie dorastania. Treść edukacji jest wskazana jako ważna sfera wyrażania siebie przez nastolatków. Uwzględniono podstawowe wytyczne dotyczące reformy przestrzeni edukacyjnej. Pokazano znaczenie paradygmatu systemowego podczas wdrażania reformy edukacyjnej. Część empiryczna badań przedstawia wyniki rozwoju konstruktów osobowościowych młodzieży w szkołach różnego typu (szkoła średnia i gimnazjum). Podkreślono znaczenie zmienności indywidualnego rozwoju uczniów jako warunku pełnej realizacji potencjału twórczego nastolatków w przestrzeni edukacyjnej.
    The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem field of teenagers’ personal development in the today information society of post-modern era. It highlights the tendencies of social and psychological modification profile of the person when he or she grows up. The content of education is indicated as a significant field of teenagers’ self-expression. The basic guidelines for reformation of educational space are considered here. There is indicated the efficiency of a system and integrative scientific paradigm in the implementation of educational reform. The empirical part of the research presents the results of the development of teenagers’ personality constructs at schools of various types (secondary school and gymnasium). It is found that it is necessary to expand the variability of students’ personal development as a condition for complete realization of the creative potential of teenagers in the educational space.

    Opis:
    Human life has become much more complicated since living in the twenty-first century. At times, it is impossible to cope on one’s own. Therefore, various assistance and intervention efforts are gaining importance in this difficult post-modern reality. One of them is lifelong vocational guidance. The new model of human life however, has sparked the need to develop new models in guidance, too. A number of researchers from various fields of science took this certainly difficult challenge. The first modern theories of vocational guidance of M. Savickas and J. Guichard appeared at the beginning of the twenty-first century and are based on the “Life Design” model. Nevertheless, there are doubts whether they can be applied to school youth.
    Współczesna rzeczywistość skomplikowała życie człowieka. Nie w każdej sytuacji jest on w stanie samodzielnie sobie poradzić. W trudnej postmodernistycznej rzeczywistości XXI wieku na znaczeniu zyskują więc różne działania pomocowe i interwencyjne. Zalicza się do nich m.in. całożyciowe poradnictwo kariery. Nowy model życia człowieka spowodował jednak potrzebę wypracowania nowych modeli, również w poradnictwie. Tego z pewnością niełatwego wyzwania podejmuje się wielu badaczy wywodzących się z różnych dziedzin nauki. Pierwsze nowoczesne teorie poradnictwa kariery M. Savickasa i J. Guicharda zostały wypracowane na początku XXI wieku i opierają się na modelu konstrukcji życia Life Design. Pojawiają się jednak wątpliwości, czy mogą być wykorzystane w pracy z młodzieżą szkolną.
