Celem artykułu jest analiza porównawcza tablic koniugacyjnych czasowników włoskich wydanych w Polsce. Omówione zostały: a) struktura tablic, b) uproszczona gramatyka przedstawiona we wstępie, c) wybrane alternacje fonetyczne/ortograficzne czasowników włoskich, d) czasowniki trzeciego paradygmatu fleksyjnego, które wymagają infiksu -isc- przed morfemem gramatycznym, e) czasowniki mające równoważne formy fleksyjne czasowniki defektywne, g) czasowniki z prefiksem.
In this paper, the author intends to examine the conjugation tables of Italian verbs published in Poland with special regard to a) the general textbook structure, b) the simplified grammar presented in the introduction, c) some phonetic/orthographic peculiarities of the Italian conjugation, d) the presentation of the third conjugation verbs in -ire that require the insertion of -isc- before the ending, e) the overabundance in Italian verb inflexion, f) defective verbs, g) verbs with prefixes.

Planktonic ciliates occasionally form brief rapid increases in numbers (blooms) that can be trophically important. Although model simulations and mesocosm studies indicate that blooms occur over 10 to 20 days, field data are rarely suffi ciently detailed to reveal their occurrence and demise. Our data (collected over 57 weeks across a coastal lagoon) offer insights into the population dynamics of a single species, place these in the context of the entire ciliate assemblage, and provide guidance on what should continue to be examined. Specifically, to evaluate population dynamics we examine two species of Cyrtostrombidium, characterise temporal and spatial variation of their abundance, and relate these to abiotic phenomena and biological factors. This is also the first report of Cyrtostrombidium in a tropical coastal lagoon. Collectively our analysis reveals key aspects of the dynamics of this genus: 1) small-scale peaks in abundance are ~30 m in size and can persist for ~10–30 days, reaching a maximum of 100 cells ml–1; 2) these increases are driven by biotic factors (revealed through autocorrelation analysis); 3) long-term trends are driven by the shift between dry and rainy seasons and by the periods of isolation of lagoon from the sea (revealed through multiple regression analysis); 4) blooms may at times control primary production; 5) conjugation, an ecologically important event, may be associated with blooms (at times 9% of population was conjugating); and 6) dinoflagellate parasitism, poorly described in oligotrichs, is potentially important in population demise. These results both reflect on how ciliates may behave in short-term events and should encourage the continued need for detailed observations of field samples at a high taxonomic resolution.

Male reproductive organs are extremely sensitive to the negative influence of toxic environmental factors as well as drugs, and until now not many attempts have been made at studying the detoxication enzymes and the relationship between the activity of those enzymes and spermatozoa fertility. In the present work we studied cytosolic glutathione-S-transferases (GST, EC 2.5.1.18) from different parts (head, corpus and tail) of bull and boar epididymis. We isolated two molecular forms of GST from each part of epididymis, characterized their biochemical properties and examined the mechanism of the catalyzed reaction. On the basis of their substrate specificity and isoelectric point, the isoforms were found to belong to the near neutral GST class mi. All examined GST forms exhibited higher affinity towards GSH than towards 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB) and bull epididymis GST forms showed biphasic Lineweaver-Burk double reciprocal curves in the presence of GSH as a variable substrate. Boar epididymis anionic GST had the -SH groups both in the GSH and the CDNB binding place, whereas the cationic GST form - arginine residues in the CDNB binding place. Bull epididymis GST forms contained neither thiol nor arginine residues essential for catalytic activity.

Opis:
Motivated by the analogy between a phase-conjugating mirror (PCM) and a superconductor, we search for optical counterparts of the well-known DC and AC Josephson effects. We show that in a system consisting of two PCM's separated by vacuum an 'optical supercurrent' arises as a function of an applied phase difference between the PCM's, which is the optical analogue of the DC supercurrent flowing in a superconducting weak link. The corresponding AC effect occurs when the two PCM's are pumped by light of a different frequency, causing the phase difference to oscillate in time with the frequency difference.

Two properties concerning the space of differences of sublinear functions D(X) for a real Banach space X are proved. First, we show that for a real separable Banach space (X,‖·‖) there exists a countable family of seminorms such that D(X) becomes a Fréchet space. For X = ℝ^n this construction yields a norm such that D(ℝ^n) becomes a Banach space. Furthermore, we show that for a real Banach space with a smooth dual every sublinear Lipschitzian function can be expressed by the Fenchel conjugate of the farthest point mapping to its subdifferential at the origin. This leads to a simple family of sublinear functions which contains an exhaustive family of upper convex approximations for any quasidifferentiable function.

Tvarová konkurence v prézentním časování sloves vzorů kryje a kupuje jako výsledek hláskových změn (v 1sg kryji/kupuji vs. kryju/kupuju; ve 3pl kryjí/kupují vs. kryjou/kupujou) existuje v češtině již od 15. století. Progrese koncovek -u a -ou se tradičně vysvětlovala jako projev tvarového vyrovnávání uvnitř 1.–3. slovesné třídy. V roce 1993 byly proto u vzorů kryje a kupuje koncovky -u a -ou přijaty do kodifikace spisovného jazyka. Toto rozhodnutí se však nesetkalo s všeobecným souhlasem, neboť pozice obou koncovek ve spisovných textech není stejná: zatímco koncovka -u se postupně neutralizuje, koncovka -ou si stále zachovává značný stupeň příznakovosti, či dokonce nespisovnosti (zejména v psaných textech). V tomto příspěvku si klademe otázku, jak se tato tvarová konkurence projevuje v dnešní televizní publicistice, konkrétně v diskusním pořadu Interview ČT24.
The morphological variation in the present-tense conjugation of the kryje and kupuje conjugation types (3rd verb class) as a result of gradual vowel shifts has been in progress since the 15th century. The gradual back shift towards the endings -u and -ou used to be explained as a result of paradigm levelling within the conjugation types of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd verb class. In 1993, these endings were codified alongside with the endings -i and -í. However, this codification act hasn’t met with general approval, because the incidence of the endings -u and -ou in standard language is not equal: while the ending -u has been standardizing, the ending -ou has still retained its markedness or can be even regarded as colloquial, in particular in written standard language. In this paper, we aim to answer the question how the endings -u and -ou are applied in present-day TV journalism, namely in the Interview ČT24 show.

Introduction and aim. Poorly soluble anticancer drugs can be attached covalently into biologically inert macromolecule in order to administrate a drug as water soluble form. It was proven that covalent linkers, for instance amide or carbamate bonds are susceptible to hydrolysis. Thus the attached drug can be released from the conjugates in tissue, specifically within the targeted cell. We aimed at construction of water soluble conjugates of Fulvestrant and Paclitaxel with PAMAM G4 dendrimer. In order to obtain water soluble conjugates the amine groups were substituted with R-glycidol. Material and methods. Polyamidoamine dendrimer of fourth generation was synthesized and examined by detailed NMR analysis in water and in DMSO. The conjugates were covalently linked to amine groups of PAMAM after activation of Fulvestrant 17-OH group with 4-nitrophenylchloroformate and activation of end-carboxyl group of Paclitaxel succinate. Results. The method of binary conjugate PAMAMG4-Fulvestrant-Paclitaxel synthesis was elaborated and the product was characterized by physicochemical methods. Conclusion. The glycidylated PAMAMG4-Fulvestrant-Paclitaxel conjugate is better soluble in water than unconverted drugs.

Opis:
In the article, the pure bending problem for strip (beam) with straight, perpendicular to its axis crack located in the zone of tensile stresses is investigated on the assumption of narrow plastic strips near crack tips. Using methods of the theory of functions of a complex variable and complex potentials, the problem is reduced to the several linear conjunction problems. The solutions of latter problems are ob-tained in the class of functions confined in the edges of plastic strips. Formulas for the calculation of their lengths are derived. Expressions for the determination of crack tip opening values are written. Numerical analysis of the problem is performed.

Like all the major fields of research, the theoretical positions on support verbs have changed as descriptions of them have accumulated. It is surprising that it was not until the twentieth century that the notion was established. Thus, to take a beer and to take a slap have been analyzed in the same way in the grammatical tradition. I have described elsewhere how the notion of support verbs was elaborated and gradually developed (G. Gross 1993, 2004). The first works in the framework of the LADL started from lists of nominal predicates established by Maurice Gross. His first collaborators applied to these lists, each one on his own, this or that support verb, the number of which seemed to be quite small at the time. Thus, J. Giry studied the support faire; L. Danlos studied sentences with the support être Prép. From the very beginning, it was realized that the conjugation of nominal predicates was more diverse than that of verbs: a single verb has only one set of forms. R. Vivès studied the nominal predicates that take the three supports avoir-prendre-perdre. I myself have described the support verbs donner and recevoir by highlighting an active and passive conjugation thanks to the support recevoir. But all these works implied, by default, that the list of support verbs was reduced for each of the predicate nouns and for the whole. But, just as in the last century a systematic inventory of verbal conjugation was made, the time has come to make a systematic inventory of the means of conjugation for nominal predicates. This is what the present article is devoted to.

Artykuł jest próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy istnieje korelacja pomiędzy postacią bezokolicznika a odmianą czasownika w czasie teraźniejszym. Podstawę analizy stanowią dwa źródła leksykograficzne: Słownik języka polskiego pod red. W. Doroszewskiego oraz Uniwersalny słownik języka polskiego pod red. S. Dubisza, skąd wyekscerpowano łącznie około 23 000 leksemów werbalnych, w tym ponad 7000 zakończonych w bezokoliczniku na -ać. Z badań wynika, że zdecydowana większość czasowników z analizowanej grupy ma obecnie typ koniugacji -m, -sz. Odmianę -ę, -esz utrzymują jedynie czasowniki zakończone w bezokoliczniku na -bać, -pać, -otać. W języku potocznym leksemy te podlegają dalszym procesom wyrównawczym.
The paper attempts to find the answer to the question to what extent the inflection of the verb in the present tense is predictable on the basis of the form of its infinitive. The conducted research demonstrates that there exists a very high degree of correlation between the form of the infinitive and the conjugational paradigm. The verbs which end in –ać in the infinitive have an almost 98 percent predictable conjugational type.

It is shown that in some generic cases the identity component of the group of leaf preserving diffeomorphisms (with not necessarily compact support) on a foliated open manifold is perfect. Next, it is proved that it is also bounded, i.e. bounded with respect to any bi-invariant metric. It follows that the group is uniformly perfect as well.

The paper presents the methodology for designing the teeth conjunction of planetary gears in the planetary roller screw mechanism. A function of the planetary gears is to synchronize an operation of rollers in order to avoid axial displacements. A condition of the correct operation is no axial movement of rollers in relation to the nut. The planetary gears are integral parts of rollers and therefore an operation of the gear transmissions has a direct impact on cooperation of the screw, rollers and the nut. The proper design of gear engagements is essential for reducing slippage on surfaces of the cooperating threaded elements. For this purpose, in a designing method, both the limitations of operation and kinematic conditions of rollers’ operation have to be taken into account.
W artykule przedstawiono metodologię projektowania zazębienia planetarnych przekładni zębatych do zastosowania w planetarnej przekładni śrubowej rolkowej. Funkcją przekładni zębatych jest synchronizacja pracy rolek w celu uniknięcia ich przemieszczenia osiowego. Warunkiem poprawnej współpracy mechanizmu jest brak przemieszczenia osiowego rolek względem nakrętki. Koła satelitarne są integralnymi częściami rolek, a w związku z tym praca planetarnych przekładni zębatych ma bezpośredni wpływ na współpracę gwintów śruby, rolek i nakrętki. Prawidłowe projektowanie planetarnych przekładni zębatych jest szczególnie istotne ze względu na uniknięcie poślizgów na powierzchniach gwintów. W związku z powyższym, w przedstawionej metodzie projektowania planetarnych przekładni zębatych, zostały uwzględnione ograniczenia parametrów geometrycznych elementów przekładni śrubowej rolkowej oraz warunki kinematyczne.
