Opis:
The analysis of the notion “innovation activity of a complementary education institution as a pedagogic phenomenon” is represented in the article. On the basis of the comparative multi aspect analysis of the notions “innovation”, “novelty”, “innovation activity“, “innovation process”, “complementary education” the notion “innovation activity of a complementary education institution” is defined and its main characteristic features are revealed. The paper characterizes the present state of complementary education institution teachers’ innovation activity. The characteristic features of complementary education institution teachers without pedagogical education are presented. The innovation process in complementary education institutions is also disclosed. Scope of problems in complementary education institutions for children is viewed.

W pracy przedstawiono koncepcję zastosowania sygnałów komplementarnych o projektowanych kształtach do testowania części analogowych elektronicznych systemów wbudowanych, za pomocą BISTów wykorzystujących ograniczone środki mikrokontrolera sterującego. Istotą metody jest pobudzanie układu testowanego sygnałem komplementarnym o specjalnie zaprojektowanym kształcie, którego parametry są dopasowane do nominalnych położeń biegunów transmitancji układu. Wyzerowanie sygnału odpowiedzi w określonym przedziale czasu po zakończeniu pobudzenia świadczy o sprawności układu. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań symulacyjnych oraz weryfikacji praktycznej metody na przykładzie dolnoprzepustowego filtru 2 i 4 rzędu.
The article presents the idea of using the shape-designed complementary signals for testing analog parts of electronic mixed-signal embedded systems employing limited resources of microcontroller that controls the system. The essence of the proposed method is stimulation of Circuit Under Test (CUT) with particular shape-designed complementary signal which parameters are matched to the nominal position of circuit transmittance poles. Vanishing the CUT response in time and after the moment of finishing the stimulation indicates absence of faults. The paper presents results of simulation researches and practical verification of the method on examples of 2nd and 4th order low-pass filters.

Opis:
The present paper presents a model of diagnosis in pedagogy, as seen from the complementary perspective, i.e. with reference to the assumptions of the salutogenic and pathogenic approaches (positive and negative diagnosis). The current author outlined the theoretical assumptions underlying the suggested model of diagnosis, and described the characteristics of the good lives model (salutogenic approaches), the risk model (pathogenic approaches) as well as the compensatory model. The concept provided a basis for developing a model of diagnosis and diagnostic instruments: Special Abilities Scale (SAS) as well as the Identity and Creative Thinking Questionnaire (ICTQ) devised by Edyta Charzyńska and Ewa Wysocka, the Intrapersonal, Interpersonal and World – and Life-related Attitudes Questionnaire (IIWLQ) devised by Ewa Wysocka. The author of this paper presented the theoretical and methodological basis for creating the aforementioned diagnostic instruments, and described their psychometric properties. It was also suggested that the instruments may prove useful in diagnosis in pedagogy.
W artykule zaprezentowany został model diagnozy pedagogicznej w ujęciu komplementarnym, z odniesieniem do założeń nurtu salutogenetycznego i patogenetycznego (diagnoza pozytywna i negatywna). Przedstawiono założenia teoretyczne proponowanego modelu diagnozy, dokonano charakterystyki modelu dobrego życia (nurt salutogenetyczny) i modelu ryzyka (nurt patogenetyczny) oraz modelu kompensacyjnego. Koncepcja ta była podstawą skonstruowania modelu diagnozy i narzędzi diagnostycznych: Skali Zdolności Specjalnych (SZS) oraz Kwestionariusza Osobowości i Myślenia Twórczego (KOMT), autorstwa Edyty Charzyńskiej i Ewy Wysockiej, a także Kwestionariusza Nastawień Intrapersonalnych, Interpersonalnych, wobec Świata i Życia (KNIIŚŻ), autorstwa Ewy Wysockiej. Przedstawione zostały podstawy teoretyczne i metodologiczne oraz podstawowe właściwości psychometryczne wskazanych narzędzi diagnostycznych. Uzasadniono także możliwość ich stosowania w diagnozie pedagogicznej.

A k-uniform hypergraph H = (V;E) is called self-complementary if there is a permutation σ:V → V, called self-complementing, such that for every k-subset e of V, e ∈ E if and only if σ(e) ∉ E. In other words, H is isomorphic with $H' = (V; \binom{V}{k} - E)$.
In the present paper, for every k, (1 ≤ k ≤ n), we give a characterization of self-complementig permutations of k-uniform self-complementary hypergraphs of the order n. This characterization implies the well known results for self-complementing permutations of graphs, given independently in the years 1962-1963 by Sachs and Ringel, and those obtained for 3-uniform hypergraphs by Kocay, for 4-uniform hypergraphs by Szymański, and for general (not uniform) hypergraphs by Zwonek.

Opis:
Exclusive or full breast-feeding for about 6 months is a desirable goal. Complementary feeding (solid foods and liquids other than breast milk or infant formula and follow-on formula) should not be introduced before 5 months and not later than 7 months. There is no convincing scientific evidence that avoidance or delayed introduction of potentially allergenic foods, such as fish and eggs, reduces allergies either in infants considered at increased risk for the development of allergy or in those not considered to be at increased risk. Infants who are born at term usually have sufficient iron stores until 4 to 6 months of age. It is recommended that exclusively breastfed term infants receive an iron supplementation of 1 mg/kg per day, starting at 4 months of age and continued until appropriate iron-containing complementary foods have been introduced. The preterm infant (<37 weeks’ gestation) who is fed human milk should receive a supplement of elemental iron at 2 mg/kg per day starting by 1 month of age and extending through 12 months of age. Cow’s milk is a poor source of iron and should not be used as the main drink before 12 months, although small volumes may be added to complementary foods form the age 11-12 months. It is prudent to avoid both early (<4 months) and late (>7 months) introduction of gluten, and to introduce gluten gradually while the infant is still breastfed, inasmuch as this may reduce the risk of celiac disease, type 1 diabetes mellitus, and wheat allergy.
Karmienie piersią powinno trwać co najmniej przez pierwsze 6 miesięcy życia dziecka. Posiłki uzupełniające (pokarmy stałe oraz płynne inne niż mleko kobiece, mieszanki, mleko zastępcze) należy wprowadzać nie wcześniej niż w 5., ale nie później niż w 7. miesiącu życia. Nie ma przekonujących danych naukowych, iż unikanie lub późne wprowadzanie pokarmów potencjalnie alergizujących (takich jak ryby czy jajka) zmniejsza rozwój alergii – ani u dzieci predysponowanych do alergii, ani u dzieci z obciążonym wywiadem rodzinnym. Niemowlęta urodzone o czasie zazwyczaj posiadają wystarczający zapas żelaza do 4.-6. miesiąca życia. Zaleca się, aby dzieci urodzone o czasie karmione wyłącznie piersią otrzymywały suplementację żelazem w dawce 1 mg/kg/dobę po 4. miesiącu życia, do czasu podaży żelaza z pokarmów uzupełniających. Wcześniaki (urodzone <37. tygodnia ciąży), które karmione są mlekiem matki, powinny otrzymywać suplementację żelazem w dawce 2 mg/kg/dobę od 1. do 12. miesiąca życia. Mleko krowie jest ubogie w żelazo i nie należy go podawać jako główny posiłek dzieciom przed ukończeniem 12. miesiąca życia, chociaż niewielkie ilości w postaci przetworów mlecznych mogą niemowlęta otrzymywać już od 11.-12. miesiąca życia. Gluten do diety niemowląt należy wprowadzać nie wczesnej niż przed 4., ale nie później niż w 7. miesiącu życia, stopniowo, małymi porcjami, w trakcie karmienia piersią, gdyż takie postępowanie zmniejsza ryzyko rozwoju choroby trzewnej, cukrzycy typu 1 i alergii na pszenicę.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Turkish version of ‘attitudes of nurses towards the patient’s use of TCM’ (APUTCM) and ‘communicative competence in TCM’ (CCTCM) scales. Materials and Methods: A total of 196 nurses participated in the study. A Nurse Information Form, APUTCM and CCTCM, and Holistic Complementary Alternative Medicine Questionnaire (HCAMQ) were used for data collection. Content Validity Index, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach’s α, item-scale correlation, test-retest, and parallel forms reliability were used to evaluate validity and reliability. Results: Of the participants, 76.0% were female and the mean age was 31.6±5.8 years. Content validity indexes of the scales were over 0.87. The factor loadings were over 0.612 for both scales. Cronbach’s α values of APUTCM and CCTCM were 0.955 and 0.928 respectively. Conclusions: Both scales were found valid and reliable in Turkish society to measure the attitudes of nurses toward the patient’s use of TCM and nurses’ communicative competence in TCM.

Opis:
Mid-wavelength infrared detectors and focal plane array based on n-type InAs/InAsSb type- II strained layer superlattice absorbers have achieved excellent performance. In the long and very long wavelength infrared, however, n-type InAs/InAsSb type-II strained layer superlattice detectors are limited by their relatively small absorption coefficients and short growth-direction hole diffusion lengths, and consequently have only been able to achieve modest level of quantum efficiency. The authors present an overview of their progress in exploring complementary barrier infrared detectors that contain p-type InAs/InAsSb type-II strained layer superlattice absorbers for quantum efficiency enhancement. The authors describe some representative results, and also provide additional references for more indepth discussions. Results on InAs/InAsSb type-II strained layer superlattice focal plane arrays for potential NASA applications are also briefly discussed.

We prove that a permutation theta is complementing permutation for a 4-uniform hypergraph if and only if one of the following cases is satisfied: (i) the length of every cycle of theta is a multiple of 8, (ii) theta has 1, 2 or 3 fixed points, and all other cycles have length a multiple of 8, (iii) theta has 1 cycle of length 2, and all other cycles have length a multiple of 8, (iv) theta has 1 fixed point, 1 cycle of length 2, and all other cycles have length a multiple of 8, (v) theta has 1 cycle of length 3, and all other cycles have length a multiple of 8. Moreover, we present algorithms for generating every possible 3 and 4-uniform self-complementary hypergraph.

The aim of the experimental study presented in this work was to determine how messages about the qualities of people formed as negation are processed. This study was designed to verify the validity of two models – schema-plus-tag model and fusion model, thus trying to present and explain the mechanism of processing negated messages. The study focuses on processing of negation with use of complementary bipolar and antonymous expressions. In two experiments various descriptions of hypothetical person, created on the basis of the above-mentioned types of phrases, were presented to participants. The article ends with the statistical analysis of results and their interpretation from the perspective of theory of negation coding.

A total-colored graph $G$ is rainbow total-connected if any two vertices of $G$ are connected by a path whose edges and internal vertices have distinct colors. The rainbow total-connection number, denoted by $ rtc(G) $, of a graph $G$ is the minimum number of colors needed to make $G$ rainbow total-connected. In this paper, we prove that $ rtc(G) $ can be bounded by a constant 7 if the following three cases are excluded: $ diam( \overline{G} ) = 2 $, $ diam( \overline{G} ) = 3 $, $ \overline{G} $ contains exactly two connected components and one of them is a trivial graph. An example is given to show that this bound is best possible. We also study Erdős-Gallai type problem for the rainbow total-connection number, and compute the lower bounds and precise values for the function $ f(n, k) $, where $ f(n, k) $ is the minimum value satisfying the following property: if $ |E(G)| \ge f(n, k) $, then $ rtc(G) \le k $.

The article shows, in detail, the interrelation which occurs between the parish religious education and school teaching of religion in Poland. The author takes up a reflection 25 years after bringing religion back to schools. Starting from establishments of religious educationdocuments of the Catholic and Polish Church, he points at the complementarity of these two forms of the religious education service of the word. It is also related to the possibility of carrying three functions of religious education out - the teaching, the upbringing and acquainting both in the parish, and at the school. In conclusion, the author formulates conclusions which are a response to the complementarity challenge of the parish catechesis and religious education in Poland. In the special way he stresses out the substantial role of liturgy and its connections with the religious education.

One gets the impression that the written form of the language implementation is preferably used as reference of linguistic analysis. In contrast, the article – not least on the basis of Jacques Derrida’s De la grammatologie – supports the thesis that all realizations of both, the spoken and the written language, are complementary. Consequently, they should be treated equally in the analysis. Also the legitimacy of the hitherto dominant print-based definitions of grammatical units has been criticized.

This article analyses and presents the complementary assesment in a tax proceeding regulated in the art. 230 the Act of 29 August 1997. The established solution raised great interest in literature and judicial decisions of the administrative courts. THe legislator decided that the administrative-review authority was obliged to remand the case to the first - instance tax authority in order to amend the issued administrative decision if the tax liability or a taxable base was determined or specified in an amount lower than that proceeding from provisions on tax law. It means that the party s situation can't be worsened the appealed administrative decision grossly breaches law or the public interest.
