    Anomalous experience – a key for explanation of process of delusions’ formation?The aim of this article is a problem of anomalies which occur in experience of delusional patients. This problem is mentioned in cognitive theories of delusions. The author characterizes such theories, but concentrates on bottom-up theories which treat delusion as a rational answer to anomalous experience. She suggests that they are insufficient for making an explanation of delusions. She tries to emphasize some elements of such theories which can be helpful in explaining and understanding the phenomenon of delusions.

    Artykuł prezentuje wstępną weryfikację dwóch narzędzi do mierzenia stylu analitycznego przetwarzania informacji: testu Cognitive Reflection Test (CRT) Fredericka i zadań Base-Rate Tasks (BRT) Kahnemana i Tversky’ego. Przeprowadzono analizę rzetelności testów, wstępnie sprawdzono trafność, szukając korelacji wyników z wynikami innych narzędzi do pomiaru indywidualnych właściwości funkcjonowania poznawczego, a także różnic między płciami i różnic związanych z kierunkiem studiów. W badaniach wzięło udział 374 studentów, w tym 174 mężczyzn i 200 kobiet reprezentujących różne kierunki studiów. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdziły rzetelność narzędzi (CRT: α-Cronbacha = 0,74; BRT: α-Cronbacha = 0,80). Związek wyników z wynikami innego narzędzia mierzącego styl analityczny – kwestionariusza Intuicyjność–Racjonalność – okazał się słaby. Uzyskane dane okazały się podobne do tych z badań Pennycooka, Cheyne’a, Seliego, Koehlera, Fugelsanga (2012), co przemawia za poprawnością adaptacji testów. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych analiz wykazano różnice między płciami (większe nasilenie stylu analitycznego u mężczyzn), a także różnice związane z wyborem studiów (większe nasilenie stylu analitycznego u studentów nauk technicznych i kierunku psychologia).
    The article presents preliminary verification of two instruments measuring the analytical style of information processing: Cognitive Reflection Test (CRT) by Frederick and Base-Rate Tasks (BRT) test by Kahneman and Tversky. The tests’ reliability was analysed, and their validity was preliminarily verified by looking for correlations of their results with the results of other instruments measuring individual characteristics of cognitive functioning, as well as differences between sexes and differences related to the course of study. The participants were 374 students, including 174 males and 200 females representing different faculties. The obtained results confirmed the instruments’ reliability (CRT: Cronbach’s α = 0.74; BRT: Cronbach’s α = 0.80). The results’ correlation with the results of another instrument measuring the analytical style – the Intuitiveness–Rationality (IR) questionnaire – was weak. The obtained data were similar to those found in the research by Pennycook, Cheyne, Seli, Koehler and Fugelsang (2012), which proves the correct adaptation of the tests. Based on the conducted analysis, differences between sexes were shown (stronger analytical style was found in males), as well as differences connected with the choice of university course (stronger analytical style was found in students of technical sciences and psychology).

    Cognitive behavior theories are among the youngest paradigms in clinical psychology. They are subjected to constant modifi cations, which raises a lot of misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Some authors argue that this concept is inconsistent and personality traits recede into the background. They claim that cognitive theory is more the psychology of behavior, cognitive processes and structures than the psychology of human being (Sęk, 2005). The history of cognitive ideas development allows us to understand their assumptions, their current place in psychopathology, and the current state of knowledge. The division into the so-called three “waves” of the cognitive behavior theories renders it possible to separate stereotypes about this theory from its proper image. The article describes the current state of the cognitive behavior theories, with account given to the latest generation, which includes: Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Schema Focused Therapy (SFT).
    Teorie poznawczo-behawioralne są jednymi z najmłodszych koncepcji w psychologii klinicznej. Ulegają one ciągłym przemianom, co rodzi wiele nieporozumień i błędnych interpretacji. Niektórzy autorzy uważają, że jest to koncepcja „mało spójna”, a kwestie osobowości schodzą na dalszy plan, „gdyż jest to bardziej psychologia zachowań, procesów i struktur poznawczych niż psychologia człowieka” (Sęk, 2005, s. 106). Historia rozwoju koncepcji poznawczych pozwala zrozumieć jej założenia, aktualne miejsce w psychopatologii oraz obecny stan wiedzy. Podział na tzw. trzy generacje koncepcji poznawczo-behawioralnych pozwala oddzielić stereotypy dotyczące tej koncepcji od jej właściwego obrazu. W artykule opisano aktualny stan teorii poznawczych z uwzględnieniem najnowszej generacji koncepcji poznawczo-behawioralnych, obejmujących: terapię poznawczą opartą na uważności (MBCT), terapię akceptacji i zaangażowania (ACT), jak również terapię schematów (SFT).

    Ludzka twarz jest jednym z najważniejszych bodźców o charakterze społecznym. Dzięki jego szybkiej i efektywnej analizie jesteśmy w stanie ocenić atrakcyjność fizyczną, poziom inteligencji, niektóre cechy osobowości, zamiary i stany mentalne danej osoby, a także jej nastrój. Przede wszystkim jednak prawidłowa interpretacja wyrazu twarzy partnera interakcji warunkuje powodzenie w nawiązaniu i utrzymaniu zadowalającego obie strony kontaktu społecznego. Deficyt kontaktów społecznych jest z kolei jednym z trzech głównych komponentów autyzmu. Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje zatem krytyczny przegląd najnowszych badań dotyczących percepcji twarzy u osób zdiagnozowanych w ramach autystycznego spektrum zaburzeń (ASD). Przytoczone wyniki sugerują atypowy sposób przetwarzania ludzkiego oblicza u dzieci oraz u dorosłych z autyzmem, a także istnienie anomalii strukturalno-funkcjonalnych w obszarach mózgu odpowiadających za percepcję twarzy i emocji u osób z autyzmem. W artykule została podjęta próba interpretacji zaprezentowanych wyników w kontekście prawidłowego rozwoju percepcji twarzy oraz dwóch poznawczych teorii autyzmu, tj. deficytu centralnej koherencji Uty Frith i braku teorii umysłu Simona Barona-Cohena. Wskazano również na nowe kierunki badań nad problemem spostrzegania ludzkiej twarzy u osób z autyzmem.
    The human face is one of the major stimuli of social nature. With its rapid and effective analysis we are able to make judgments about people’s physical attractiveness, moods, certain personality traits, mental states, intentions and even intelligence. Above all, the correct interpretation of someone’s facial expression determines the success in creating and maintaining a mutually satisfying social contacts. In turn, a deficit of social interaction is one of three main components of autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). This article presents a critical review of recent research on face perception in individuals who suffer from ASD. These recent results suggest atypical face-processing in autistic children and adults, and also the existence of structural and functional abnormalities in the brain regions responsible for perception of faces and emotions in people with autism. This work is an attempt to interpret an extensive pool of experimental studies presented here in the context of normal face perception development and the two cognitive theories of autism, namely Utah Frith’s Central Coherence Deficit and Simon Baron-Cohen’s Lack of Theory of Mind. The article also indicated new directions for research into the human face perception difficulties among people with ASD.

    The article deals with the most important relations between Foreign Language Didactics and the main theoretical models in modern linguistics, especially the Applied Linguistics of second- and foreign-language teaching. Theories and models of modern linguistics have often laid the theoretical foundations of foreign language teaching, as we can observe in the individual methods and learning techniques (from structuralism to generative grammar, communicativepragmatic turn of the 60s and 70s, cognitive linguistics and to F. Grucza's anthropocentric theory of languages). In this perspective, the purpose of this article is to raise and discuss the question of how modern linguistic theories can improve the effectiveness of language teaching.
    Im Artikel werden die wichtigsten Relationen zwischen der Fremdsprachendidaktik und der Linguistik, insbesondere der angewandten Linguistik behandelt. Linguistische Theorien und Modelle waren oft theoretische Grundlagen des Fremdsprachenunterrichts, was in einzelnen Methoden und Lerntechniken sichtbar wurde (vom Strukturalismus, über generative Grammatik, kommunikativ-pragmatische Wende der 60-er und 70-er Jahre, kognitive Linguistik bis zur anthropozentrischen Theorie der Sprachen von F. Grucza). In dieser Perspektive werden ausgewählte Möglichkeiten dargestellt, wie moderne linguistische Theorien vor allem die Effektivität des Fremdsprachenunterrichts verbessern können.
