    The text deals with the issues of the axiological domain, with particular emphasis on the method of values clarifying. The main goal of the article is to signal that in order to consciously build the hierarchy of values and manage the life properly, you need to get to know yourself, recognize and understand your values. The text contains a short description of the values clarification method. It discusses mistakes that a teacher/educator can make when applying the values clarification method. The text also presents the author's own studies, which are based on the method of values clarification carried out among academic youth.

    Although pear is one of the most preferred fruits globally due to its high nutrient content, its juice products have not received equal consumer acceptability due to their undesirable haziness and turbidity. However, enzymatic treatment of juice has been noted to improve the overall acceptability of juices better than traditional decantation, filtration, and heating methods, which are either expensive or detrimental to the product quality. In this study, pear juice was effectively clarified using partially purified polygalacturonase from an entomopathogenic fungal endophyte Beauveria bassiana SAN01. The optimization of the juice clarification process led to 137% improvement in clarification compared to control, under optimal conditions of 39.37 U/mL enzyme load, 36.87°C temperature and 2.75 h treatment time. Results also showed that the polygalacturonase treatment resulted in a significant decrease in viscosity and an increase in the pseudoplasticity of the pear juice as the rheological data of the juice was observed to fit adequately into the power law model (R2>0.9). Furthermore, the enzyme-assisted juice clarification was found to reduce browning index (-14.34%) and turbidity (-19.72%) while increasing the reducing sugar content (9.55%). Unlike some conventional juice treatments, the polygalacturonase treatment preserved the antioxidant potential and the total phenolic contents of the pear juice as no significant changes were observed after the treatment. This study thus demonstrates the efficacy of a fungal polygalacturonase in improving pear juice quality as well as the potential applicability of B. bassiana enzymes in the food industry.

    The article examines five Polish translations of the famous ballad The Raven written by Edgar Allan Poe. The translations come from different periods; the efforts by Przesmycki and Beaupre belong to the period of “Młoda Polska”, and date roughly from the tum of the nineteenth and twentieth century. The translation by Kasiński, although it was created a few decades later, still shows a clear influence of the specific aesthetics of the “Młoda Polska” movement. These three translations, in spite of numerous differences, form quite a uniform set, with the dominant underlying strategy of domestication, which manifests itself in “ennoblement” and “clarification”. By contrast, the two contemporary translations, by Barańczak and by Kozak, lack the stylistic homogeneity of their predecessors. They are also characterized by the various departures from the original, motivated by the different subjective approaches taken by each translator. None of the five examined Polish translations has attained the satisfactory degree of equivalence with respect to the original text.

    Easy-to-handle and effective methods of juice clarification and concentration by membrane technologies are still under exploration. The current article presents results of research on the technological development of an alternative natural sweetener of high biological value and improved organoleptic properties. Sorghum saccharatum stem juice is used in research. It is pre-clarified enzymatically with α-amylase and glucoamylase, clarified by ultrafiltration, and concentrated by the direct contact membrane distillation in various temperature ranges. The study shows the efficacy of membrane methods for improving juice purity, total soluble solids (TSS), and total sugar (TS) content in the syrup obtained. Clarification depends on membrane characteristics at the beginning of the process, as there are no differences at the end of it. Juice concentration at high-temperature differences allows to accelerate the process by approx. 60% comparing to low-temperature differences. A lower temperature difference (∆Т = 20-30°С) in the concentration process results in a longer process and syrup acidisation, whereas a higher temperature difference (∆Т = 70°С) affects physicochemical properties of syrup due to local overheating and formation of Maillard reaction products. The juice concentration at ∆Т = 50-60°С allows to obtain high values of total soluble solids without significant degradation of physicochemical and organoleptic properties.

    W ramach paradygmatu pozytywizmu prawniczego w polskiej teorii prawa sformułowano J. Wróblewskiego klaryfikacyjną koncepcję wykładni prawa. Przyjęcie perspektywy psycholingwistycznej dla analizy tejże teorii umożliwia wzięcie pod uwagę wiedzy o ludzkiej percepcji językowej i porównanie jej z przyjmowanym przez J. Wróblewskiego ujęciem uzyskiwania rozumienia tekstu prawnego. Tak przeprowadzony eksperyment myślowy – przejścia z poziomu teorii prawa na poziom psycholingwistyki – ujawnia „ukryte” cechy J. Wróblewskiego teorii wykładni prawa. W zakresie pytania o status tej teorii, prowadzi to do wniosku, że nie jest to ani deskryptywna, ani normatywna teoria interpretacji prawa. Jest ona możliwa do zaakceptowania jedynie jako normatywna teoria uzasadnienia decyzji interpretacyjnych w procesie stosowania prawa.
    Within the framework of legal positivism on the ground of Polish legal theory there was founded, in the scope of the issue of legal interpretation, the ‘clarification’ theory, formulated by J. Wróblewski. Adopting psycholinguistic perspective for the analysis of above mentioned theory allows to take the knowledge about human linguistic cognition into consideration and compare it with the vision of achieving understanding of legal text as understood by J. Wróblewski. Thus conducted “mental experiment” – moving from the level of the legal theory to the level of psycholinguistics – reveals “hidden” properties of J. Wróblewski theory of legal interpretation. First of all, as far as the question about the status of his theory is concerned, it allows to formulate a conclusion that it is neither a descriptive nor a normative theory of legal interpretation. It is possible to accept only as a normative theory of justification of interpretation decisions in the process of law application.

    Ctearing beer wort operation in a centrifugal-settling vat is realized by tangential tankege. Discrepancies between the optima] filling veloci-ties occurred in available literaturę. A scope of this work comprises the analysis of fluid flow modeling in a centrifugal-settling vat for the se-iected initial velocity values. The analysis regards an influence of ma-xima] initiat veiocity on secondary flows' kinetic.

    Komunikowanie znaczeń w różnych rodzajach tekstów powinno być związane z wyraźnym wyznaczeniem ich granicy, czyli delimitacją. Niniejszy artykuł omawia zagadnienie delimitacji w przepowiadaniu słowa Bożego. W opracowaniu punktem odniesienia jest semantyczne znaczenie komunikowanych treści, które może pozwolić na określenie granicy formułowanych wypowiedzi. W oparciu o to wyróżnione zostały trzy sposoby delimitacji znaczeń. Po pierwsze w wymiarze dookreślenia semantycznego głoszonych treści. Po drugie omówiona została delimitacja kerygmatyczna. Jako ostatnia została wyróżniona tzw. delimitacja narracyjna.
    This article considers the use of delimitation in preaching the Word of God. When expressing the meanings of different types of texts it is important to indicate the beginning and end of each individual text, that is delimitation. The point of reference in the article is the semantic meaning of the content to be communicated which determines the extent of the formulated statements. Three styles of delimitation are highlighted in the text: the semantic specification of the proclaimed content; a description of kerygmatic delimitation and narrative delimitation.

    W pracy przedstawiono wyniki analizy parametrów jakościowych brzeczek poddanych wstępnej klaryfikacji z zastosowaniem karagenu. Celem przeprowadzonych badań było określenie wpływu stosowania karagenu na jakość brzeczki oraz przebieg procesu jej fermentacji. Karagen dodawano do wrzącej brzeczki słodowej w postaci wodnej zawiesiny w ilości 50, 100 i 200 mg·l⁻¹. Uzyskane wyniki pozwoliły stwierdzić, iż zastosowanie karagenu do wstępnej klaryfikacji w stężeniu 50 mg·l⁻¹ zdecydowanie poprawia klarowność brzeczki piwnej o ekstrakcie 10%. Jednakże nie miało to istotnego wpływu na przebieg fermentacji. Zastosowanie karagenu spowodowało obniżenie barwy brzeczek z ok. 11 EBC, w przypadku brzeczki kontrolnej, do ok. 7,5–8,0 w brzeczkach klarowanych karagenem w ilości 50 i 100 mg·l⁻¹.
    Colloidal stability of beer is one of the key factors ensuring a good visual impact of the product on the customers. Traditionally, it used to be achieved by a long period of maintaining beer at low temperature, in the process called lagering. Nowadays there is a rising interest in application of various types of auxiliary materials to ensure the colloidal stability of beer. Carrageenan is a type of linear polysaccharide extracted from red seaweeds. It is used as an auxiliary material used to facilitate clarification of wort at the stage of brew house operations. In the study we analyzed the quality parameters of wort and beer, after applying the clarification with the use of carrageenan. The aim of the work was to determine the effects of carrageenan added in various amounts, on the wort quality, course of the fermentation process and some physico-chemical parameters of the product. Carrageenan was added to the wort during boiling, in the form of an aqueous suspension, in order to allow for an equal distribution of the polysaccharide within the volume of the wort. It was added to reach the amount of 50,100 and 200 mg·l⁻¹. We found that the use of carrageenan in a concentration of 50 mg·l⁻¹ was the most appropriate for clarification of wort, in terms of the clarity and the amount of trub created. The haze of wort clarifi ed with carrageenan (50 mg·l⁻¹) was more than three times lower than in the reference sample (10 EBC haze units as compared with ca. 34 EBC). At the same time the amount of trub created was the lowest at this dose of carrageenan. Higher amount of carrageenan caused an excessive creation of the trub, which in consequence may lead to severe losses during industrial wort production. The application of carrageenan caused a decrease of wort colour, giving a 7.5–8.0 EBC (in case of 50 and 100 mg·l⁻¹), as compared with ca. 11 EBC in the reference wort. No significant impact on the course of fermentation was noted. The attenuation of wort clarified with carrageenan was the same as the reference wort, around 72%.

    La réflexion proposée dans cette étude est inspirée par trois questions. Après un bref rappel de la naissance de la nouvelle Loi Fondamentale, nous nous proposons dans la deuxième section de présenter la nécessité d’une base de données terminologique juridique nationale. Dans un cas comme dans l’autre, le terminologue par la base de données terminologique se retrouve en première ligne pour fournir, harmoniser et normaliser les termes juridiques sans lesquels il n’y a pas de communication nationale efficace, en répondant en même temps, à des critères absolus de fiabilité, pertinence, exhaustivité, et sûreté d’utilisation. L’objectif général de plus est de mettre en comparaison la convergence et la divergence éventuelle du sens entre les emprunts et les mots d’origine aussi bien que la construction des définitions dans les deux langues en mettant l’accent sur l’interdépendance de la terminologie harmonisée multilingue. Dans l’optique de la traduction, cette comparaison montre l’absence d’homogénéité et la difficulté de transmission des sens juridiques parmi les deux versions, mais aussi à l’intérieur d’original.   Dans la troisième section, nous visons étudier les divers étapes du travail terminologique dans le domaine de droit constitutionel pour mieux comprendre ce que comporte une activité complexe comme celle de l’harmonisation terminologique. Dans les conclusions, nous revenons sur la banque de données terminologique juridique en mettant en valeur son utilité et ses implications pour d’éventuels projets futurs.
    Po wejściu w życie nowej konstytucji węgierskiej wzrosła potrzeba stworzenia nowych terminów prawnych, a co za tym idzie, konieczność stworzenia terminologii wielojęzycznej dostosowanej do nowej terminologii węgierskiej. Prawodawstwo niesie za sobą wymaganie stałości terminologicznej w celu utrzymania ciągłości prawa, oraz wymaganie komunikatywności tworzonego tekstu. Artykuł stanowi studium porównawcze trzech terminów. Przeprowadzona analiza ma charakter interdyscyplinarny, łącząc prawo z translatologią, wskazuje na potrzebę uporządkowania krajowego systemu terminologii języka prawa, a ponadto, do jednego z istotnych celów należy umożliwienie oceny węgierskiej konstytucji przez środowisko zagraniczne.
    Throughout the process of legislation many terminological questions have been raised that lawyers – as professionals of the given field – are trying to arrange themselves within the framework of law in a comprehensible way. Difficulties that appear during the clarification and interpretation of notions marked by legal terms might and should be handled via the principles and notions of terminology. In case terminology is used in an incorrect or inaccurate way in a legislative process, professional communication and legal certainty gets violated within the given state. As a result of current scientific and technological development, knowledge acquired in particular areas of expertise is continually expanding, the transmission of this cognition is becoming quicker and quicker, there is an ever-growing cooperation between distinct fields of expertise and the usage of ICT tools is getting more and more active. In the light of the above, this study has a double goal. One of them is to present the possible correlations in terminology and legislation (section II.), the other one is to point out that information technologies are also used as tools of terminology in the form of databases, softwares (section III). The proper management of notions marked by legal terms, achieved by the spreading of terminological knowledge and a wider use of terminological tools, may have a positive effect on the process of legislation and would lead to a better linguistic quality of laws and statutes to be prepared in the future.

    Opis:
    W glosowanym orzeczeniu Naczelny Sąd Administracyjny rozważał kwestię istnienia uprawnienia podmiotu niebędącego podatnikiem do żądania stwierdzenia nadpłaty podatku. Kluczowe znaczenie, co zostało podkreślone w uzasadnieniu, miało pojęcie „podatnik”. Ma ono swoją definicję legalną w Ordynacji podatkowej, jest jednak jednym z tzw. pustych terminów, wymagających doprecyzowania w ramach ustaw podatkowych. Zagadnienie relacji ogólnego i szczegółowego prawa podatkowego jest zaś istotne zarówno dla praktyki obrotu, jak i nauki prawa podatkowego. W trakcie analizy orzeczenia NSA posłużono się metodą dogmatycznoprawną. Glosa ma charakter aprobujący – NSA odmówił przyznania uprawnień do żądania stwierdzenia nadpłaty podatku podmiotowi niebędącemu podatnikiem oraz właściwie dokonał wykładni pojęcia „strony” (art. 133 o.p.) oraz „podatnika” (art. 7 o.p.). Definicja legalna „podatnika” zawarta w Ordynacji podatkowej ma charakter definicji kaskadowej, która sama w sobie jest pusta, nie spełnia zatem przewidzianej dla niej funkcji ograniczenia obszaru nieostrości.
    In the glossed judgement the Supreme Administrative Court considered whether a person who was not a taxpayer had legal right to make a claim for overpaid tax. The crucial problem, which was underlined in the opinion of the court, was the meaning of the term taxpayer. Although this term has its legal definition in the Tax Ordinance, it is an example of an empty term which needs to be precised by the specific provisions of tax legislation. The issue of relation between general and specific provisions of tax legislation is important to both the practice and the study of tax law. To analyse the judgement, a dogmatic method was used. The gloss is approving SAC judgement − the court refused to grant legal right to make a claim for overpaid tax to a person who was not a taxpayer and correctly clarified terms party and taxpayer. Definition of the latter term has the form of a cascade − it is void unless co-defined by the specific provisions, and therefore it does not execute its function to confine the area of indistinctness.

    Opis:
    On the basis of the Polish law of entrepreneurs, a competency dispute arose between the Minister of Digitization and the President of the Office of Personal Data Protection. Both authorities deem it appropriate to interpret GDPR. The Minister of Digitization believes that he is authorized because of the rights to create a policy in the field of personal data protection. The President of the Office for Personal Data Protection believes that he is authorized as a supervisory body according to GDRP and the competent authority for the protection of personal data. Due to the fact that the GDPR is an act of a higher rank than the Polish law, it is necessary to admit to the supervisory body that it is the only person entitled to a binding interpretation of GDPR regulations.

    Opis:
    In the article we considered the problem of treating groundwater and surface water for drinking purposes. The efficiency of whole system work depends on filtration installations in the technological schemes of drinking water preparation. A floating granular filling with expanded polystyrene was first proposed at the Department of Water Supply and Drilling (National University of Water Management and Natural Resources). In article we showed the structure of polystyrene filters and principle of their work. The authors suggested technological schemes clarifying and discoloration of the surface water in single-stage and two-stage reagent schemes and contact groundwater iron removal with polystyrene foam filters. Described principles of work, parameters and conditions of use the technological schemes. We proposed scheme with hydraulic automatic device with switching modes. Showed implementation experience developed technological schemes of polystyrene foam filters in the water preparation for drinking purposes and assessed the economic efficiency of proposed solutions.
    W pracy przeanalizowano problem uzdatniania wód gruntowych i powierzchniowych do celów konsumpcyjnych. Wydajność pracy całego systemu zależy od instalacji filtrów w technologicznym układzie przygotowania wody pitnej. Pływające ziarniste wypełnienie ze spienionego polistyrenu zaproponowano po raz pierwszy w Zakładzie Zaopatrzenia w Wodę i Wierceń (Państwowy Uniwersytet Gospodarki Wodnej i Zasobów Naturalnych). W publikacji przedstawiono strukturę polistyrenowych filtrów i zasady ich działania. Autorzy sugerują technologiczny schemat klarowania i odbarwiania wód powierzchniowych w układzie jedno- i dwuetapowym z usuwaniem żelaza w kontakcie z filtrami ze spienionego polistyrenu. Opisano zasady działania, parametry i warunki stosowania technologicznych rozwiązań. Zaproponowano układ z automatycznym urządzeniem hydraulicznym do przełączania sposobów pracy. Przedstawiono także doświadczenia we wdrażaniu zaawansowanych technologii uzdatniania wody pitnej z użyciem filtrów polistyrenowych i oceniono ekonomiczną efektywność proponowanych rozwiązań.

    Opis:
    The article is devoted to presenting connections between interaction of investigation procedures and disciplinary proceedings as two stages of proceedings in student’s disciplinary cases. Considerations included in this article are subordinated to assumption, according to which the actual shape of the interaction mentioned above is determined by the way in which the issue of the scope of the interaction of investigation procedures is resolved as well as the impact of the actions taken in these proceedings on the examination of the case in disciplinary proceedings. The analysis of the first of the issues mentioned above gives ground for statement that regulation included in the Act on Higher Education and Science (according to which – returning the petition for punishment in order to complementing the investigation procedures) leads directly to increasing the burden of proof of the investigation procedures in terms of substantive examination of the student’s disciplinary case. The legal solution indicated above determines the wide scope of consolidation of evidences for the Disciplinary Board during the investigation procedures; in fact subject to disproportionate expansion and prepares a disciplinary case for resolution by this committee. This assessment is supported by regulating the impact of the evidence that was perpetuated in investigation procedures on the examination and adjudication of the case in disciplinary proceedings. It resulting in a wide-ranging possibility of using this evidence as a basis for a judgment on disciplinary liability.
