Opis:
Taiwan’s inclusive education has been developed fully through national legislations and local government policies since 1984 within the Special Education Act. This national law clearly mandates the concept of inclusive education for the students with special education needs starting from the age of two. This article presents two sections of research on the implementation of regulations in inclusive education. The first was at the local government level of Kaohsiung City with design for the in-service teachers training program in special education. The second one was a school-wide level focus on differentiated instruction implementation for kindergarten teachers. The document analysis, action research and case method were applied in these studies. The result of the first section study was that 52 preschool teachers completed a 60-hour special education professional course held by Kaohsiung City in 2019 to 2020. The result of the second section study was a school-wide inclusive education practical model with administrative suport and teachers’ competency in differentiated instruction of six cases. Two studies showed positive results of inclusive education practice for a municipality and a preschool level in Taiwan.

Abstract: Study programmes in economics and management should be more focused on developing students’ critical thinking skills and the capabilities to solve practical problems. Case method is admittedly one of the best techniques to accomplish these goals. Thus, disseminating the benefits of case method in academic teaching as well as supporting case writing among scholars is of great importance. Despite the many proven benefits of the case method and the growing use of cases in teaching management and economics, it seems that the writing of cases is undertaken by not so many academics. There is evidence of the lack of support at smaller schools to potential case writers from administrators, in terms of motivation, recognition, training, time, and funding, and on the other hand, there is little awareness among faculty about international scholarships, available peer-reviewed publishing opportunities for cases, and peer support via international case conferences. This paper attempts to fill in the existing information gap and offer helpful guidance to faculty and school administrators. Aim: The aim of this paper is to support the development of case writing in the management and economics subjects by faculty of smaller universities where typically the local peer support is limited or non-existent, while the value of such academic research activity may be underestimated by school deans. The paper offers practical guidance on how to get international support while developing teaching cases. Design / Research methods: This paper is a policy analysis type of research. It is based on secondary sources as well as primary sources such as personal observations and experience of the author who has been teaching finance and business since 1995, has published the first case in 2015, has authored 10+ cases by early 2022, has received 3 international case writing awards, and has been elected to the Board of NACRA, the leading case research association in the U.S. Conclusions / findings: The use of case method in teaching management and economics has multiple benefits, including its virtuous role in school accreditations and industry-academia collaboration, as well as its powerful boost to the professional development of faculty. Faculty involvement however will remain limited unless the school deans and the accrediting bodies apply proper motivation to support academic case writing. The paper lists specific policy recommendations for promoting case research and case writing, which are feasible to implement in small universities with a limited budget. Originality / value of the article: There are currently no papers that present such an overview of the current academic case writing scene, case conferences, funding, peer-reviewed case publication opportunities, as prepared by the author based on the personal experience as finance professor and case writer. It is a unique and valuable practical guidance for faculty members who are looking to get involved in case writing or for deans who are thinking of feasible measures to promote case writing and case research by tapping into the existing global resources and opportunities. Badania te są w istocie kompleksem i twórczym rozwiązaniem danej dydaktycznej sytuacji w zadanym środowisku dydaktycznym. Ich istotą jest interakcja i konkretna sytuacja związana z nauczaniem i podejmowaniem decyzji.

The proposed research is focused on and maps the various methods of communication of students who study master teaching courses at Faculty of Education (or existing elementary and secondary teachers) in the pedagogical practice. The experience with the project will lead to improve the preparation of future teachers (student) and improve approach of the preparing teachers. Present educational system imposes high requirements on teachers of all levels. Personality development is marginalized in teacher training, mainly the development of creative abilities and skills to solve conceptual matters and dynamic changes in the educational process. One of the ways of improvement the personality and professional development is to include the case study method. Case study method of didactic situations is a modern procedure of effective development of professional abilities in future teachers.

Sustainable development in education is the basis of sustainable development of society. To ensure sustainable development in education, its principles need to be implemented in all training courses. Higher pedagogical education should provide training in designing and teaching such courses. At our universities, future primary school teachers are trained to keep their maths lessons in line with the principles of sustainable development in three key areas. The first area relates to the development of pupils’ social involvement through their acquisition of intellectual and practical skills of using maths. The second area concerns pupils’ relationship with their natural and cultural environment. Future teachers are trained to design tasks that stimulate pupils’ emotional engagement and caring attitude. The third area that future teachers are trained to target is pupils’ economic and financial competence. Teaching skills in all these areas can be developed effectively through the case method.

Nad prawidłowością funkcjonowania rodziny zastępczej czuwa koordynator rodzinnej pieczy zastępczej. Poprzez wizyty w środowisku społecznym i kontakty z przedstawicielami środowiska wychowawczego dziecka (wychowanka) koordynator – zgodnie z ideą metody indywidualnych przypadków – diagnozuje problemy rodziny zastępczej i dziecka w niej umieszczonego, sporządza plan pomocy dziecka oraz pracuje z danym dzieckiem. Z myślą o podniesieniu efektywności pomocy dzieciom i rodzinom zastępczym w realizacji ich zadań wychowawczych wobec małoletnich oraz podniesieniu poziomu świadomości dziecka (wychowanka) w zakresie radzenia sobie z własnymi problemami metodę indywidualnych przypadków (etap: praca z przypadkiem) wzbogacono metodą Enneagramu.
The foster care coordinator oversees the proper functioning of the foster family. Through visits to the social environment and contacts with representatives of the child's upbringing (ward) coordinator – in accordance with the idea of the method of individual cases – diagnoses the problems of the foster family and the child placed in it, draws up a child's help plan and works with chance. With a view to increase the effectiveness of helping children and foster families in the implementation of their educational tasks towards minors and raising the level of child's (pupil's) awareness in dealing with their own problems, the method of individual cases (stage: work with case) was enriched with the ENNEAGRAM method.
