W tekście szczególne istotne jest przeciwstawienie podmiotowości wytwarzanej przez strategie strukturalistyczne podmiotowości niepełnej, nieokreślonej, pozostającej w wiecznym ruchu stawania się, której broni Deleuze. W zarysowanej opozycji kluczową rolę odgrywają pojęcia języka, czasu, obłędu oraz sądu.
The aim of this article is to present the significance of Gilles Deleuze’s Essays Critical and Clinical in the possibly most coherent way. One of the main themes of the text is the opposition between the subjectivity produced by structuralististic authors and the subjectivity that is incomplete, unspecified, emerging from eternal motion of becoming oneself, which is defended by Deleuze. The essential concepts of this opposition are language, time, madness and judgment.

Post-apartheid South African schools are contending with unprecedented incidents and rates of violence that have not only brought untold humiliation to learners and teachers alike but have, in many instances, forced schools to redefine the way in which they function, and indeed, if they function. Repeated forms of condemnation, policy re-strategising and punitive measures have not only been inadequate, but have laid bare the sheer unpredictability of violence and its forms. In offering a dual-dialogue – one in addressing violence and the other directed at the inadequate response from education authorities to violence – we offer an interpretative analysis on the one hand, of how to think about violence, and on the other hand, about how a citizenship education of becoming can deal with the unpredictable consequences of violence in its own potentiality. We commence by looking at violence in South African schools, followed by an exploration of encounters, and summoning others to speech as a means through which to speak to violence.

W niniejszym artykule prezentuję proces „stawania się” pracownikiem domu pomocy społecznej przeznaczonym dla osób niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie. Z tego względu koncentruję się na nabywaniu określonych umiejętności niezbędnych w pracy z osobami niepełnosprawnymi, a także na przemianach dokonujących w zakresie postrzegania i definiowania siebie w sposób właściwy dla „profesjonalistów” od pomagania. Wyniki badań dowodzą, że praca w warunkach placówki opiekuńczej niesie ze sobą pewne konsekwencje i stawia określone wymagania, związane z koniecznością pogodzenia z jednej strony totalizującego reżimu instytucji pomocowej, z drugiej zaś dbałości o dobro mieszkańców i realizację ich potrzeb. Dane, na których oparto tekst pochodzą z badań przeprowadzonych w trzech domach pomocy społecznej dla osób niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie (przeznaczonych dla kobiet, mężczyzn oraz koedukacyjnym). W badaniach wykorzystano techniki jakościowe, a wśród nich wywiad swobodny oraz obserwację uczestniczącą. Analiza danych została przeprowadzona zgodnie procedurami metodologii teorii ugruntowanej.
In this article, I present the process of ‘becoming’ an employee of a social welfare home for individuals with mental disabilities. To this purpose, I focus on the acquisition of particular skills that are necessary when working with persons with disabilities, as well as on transformations that take place with regard to perceiving and defining the self in a manner adequate for ‘professionals’ who help. The research results prove that work in conditions provided within a welfare facility entails certain consequences and lays down particular requirements related to the necessity of reconciling the totalizing regime of a welfare institution with the attentiveness to the residents’ well-being and the fulfillment of their needs. The data that the paper is based on comes from research that was carried out in three social welfare homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities (one for men, one for women, and one that is co-educational). The studies employed qualitative techniques, including the unstructured interview and participant observation. The data analysis was performed in accordance with the procedures of grounded theory.

Badanie procesu przejścia/integracji nowego nauczyciela sporadycznie jest przedmiotem badań w pedeutologii. Dominujący, funkcjonalistyczny sposób myślenia o roli zawodowej koncentruje się głównie na problemach adaptacji nauczyciela do miejsca pracy i jest zazwyczaj sprowadzony do statycznej diagnozy (bardziej lub mniej udanego) dopasowania się „nowego” do istniejących, zewnętrznie przyjętych standardów. W analizach tych pomija się tak ważne z punktu widzenia procesów stawania się nauczycielem konteksty, które powstają na styku interakcji jednostka-jednostka, jednostka-grupa profesjonalna, jednostka-kultura instytucji.W artykule prezentuję wstępne rezultaty badań dotyczących procesu stawania się nauczycielem na starcie kariery zawodowej, tj. w okresie przejścia/włączania się nauczycieli (nowicjuszy) do grupy zawodowej umiejscowionych w koncepcjach „obcych” dla tradycyjnej pedeutologii – interakcjonizmu symbolicznego i teorii migracyjnych.
The process of novice teacher’s transition/integration is rarely the subject of consideration and research in the education field in general and teacher training in particular. The dominant, functionalist manner of thinking about the professional role focuses mainly on problems associated with the teacher’s adaptation to the workplace and is usually limited to a statistical diagnosis (more or less successful) of how the “newcomer” conformed to existing, externally adopted standards. Such analyses, however, ignore various contexts that are extremely important from the point of view of becoming a teacher, i.e., contexts formed at the intersections of interactions between individual and individual, individual and professional group, and individual and institutional culture. This paper will present preliminary results of research devoted to the process of becoming a teacher in the period of transition/integration of teachers (novices) into their professional group, based on concepts that are “alien” to traditional research in teacher training: symbolic interactionism and migration theories.

Is the category of “becoming” relative? This question accompanies the considerations undertaken in this article. It is the starting point for the reflection on the understanding of the designations of the expression “to become” in the metaphysical, epistemological and linguistic aspects. The results of this reflection are to serve adequate interpretations of the text. In the applicative part of the article both the fundamentals of text interpretation and the risks resulting from different cognitive perspectives are discussed. The source of these risks is seen primarily in misunderstanding the essence and the category of becoming.
Czy kategoria „stawania się” jest względna? To pytanie towarzyszy rozważaniom podjętym w niniejszym artykule. Stanowi ono punkt wyjścia dla refleksji dotyczącej rozumienia desygnatów wyrażenia stawać się w aspekcie metafizycznym, epistemologicznym i językowym. Wyniki tej refleksji mają służyć adekwatnej interpretacji tekstu; w części aplikatywnej artykułu zostały omówione podstawy interpretacji tekstu oraz ryzyka wynikające z różnej perspektywy poznawczej. Źródło ryzyka upatruje się przede wszystkim w błędnym rozumieniu istoty i kategorii stawania się.

Pierwsze trzy części mają charakter wstępny. Ich zadaniem jest, na podstawie filozofii procesu Whiteheada, zdefiniować podstawowe terminy, takie jak cielesność, osoba ludzka, świadomość, jedność osobowa, etapy, fazy i wymiary procesu stawania się osobą. Szczególnie istotne dla rozumienia pojęcia osoby ludzkiej okazuje się właściwe rozumienie pojęcia Boga. Wskazano różnice pomiędzy Platońską i Arystotelesowską teologią oraz psychologią, szczególnie w aspekcie duszy pożądliwej. W kolejnych częściach omówione są etapy stawania się osobą ludzką: dzieciństwo, dorosłość i dojrzałość. Każdy z nich przedstawiony zostaje z perspektywy łączącej wymiar cielesny z duchowością. W ostatnim rozdziale podjęto próbę wysłowienia niektórych Platońskich intuicji psychologicznych w języku współczesnym. Przede wszystkim zrekonstruowano Platoński opis stawania się osobą dojrzałą poprzez rozwój duchowo-psychologiczny opisany w Państwie. Prowadzi to do ukazania Platonizmu jako podstawy nowoczesnej praktyki terapeutycznej.
The first three sections of this paper are introductory. Their task is to define basic terms such as corporeality, person, stages, phases, and dimensions of the process of becoming a person. A correct understanding of the concept of God turns out to be of particular importance for understanding the concept of the human person. The thesis about the superiority of Platonic theology over Aristotle’s is justified. The following sections discuss the stages of becoming a human being: childhood, adulthood, and maturity. Each of them is presented from a perspective that combines the bodily dimension with spirituality. In the last section I attempt to express some of Plato’s psychological intuitions in modern language, focusing in particular on his notion of becoming a mature person through spiritual and psychological development. This tends to show Platonism as the basis of modern therapeutic practice.

Opis:
The text tries to analyze the radical gesture of breaking with the post-communist social reality. On the example of the novel Do tmy [Into Darkness] by Anna Bolavá, the author of the article draws the socio-political landscape of the Czech Republic after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The main character of the book, Anna, stands out as a woman, irritates and queers the well-established space, only to finally smash it by proposing – now as a plant – a new social order (not only with people as social actors). Anna Bolavá’s novel not only diagnoses the postmodern times, with their abundance of sounds and images, but also offers a strategy how to change the reality.
