This paper presents the complete analysis of Linear Induction Motor (LIM) under VVVF. The complete variation of LIM air gap flux under ‘blocked Linor’ condition and starting force is analyzed and presented when LIM is given VVVF supply. The analysis of this data is important in further understanding of the equivalent circuit parameters of LIM and to study the magnetic circuit of LIM. The variation of these parameters is important to know the LIM response at different frequencies. The simulation and application of different control strategies such as vector control thus becomes quite easy to apply and understand motor’s response under such strategy of control.

Opis:
Standards related to calculation methods used in building energy performance simulation tools usually impose constant volumetric heat capacity of air. However, this simplification may result in errors if the actual conditions differ from the assumptions made. The paper presents the problem of dry air density and specific heat capacity variation and their influence on calculated energy use for space heating in a multifamily building. The monthly calculation method of PN-EN ISO 13790 was used. Simulations were performed in five cities, each in one climatic zone according to PN-EN 12831. Variation of the air density caused by air temperature and elevation resulted in differences in calculated heating demand from -4.5% to 4.5% in relation to that at constant volumetric heat capacity assumed in PN-EN ISO 13790.

At present, the drivers with different control methods are used in most of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM). A current outputted by a driver contains a large number of harmonics that will cause the PMSM torque ripple, winding heating and rotor temperature rise too large and so on. In this paper, in order to determine the influence of the current harmonics on the motor performance, different harmonic currents were injected into the motor armature. Firstly, in order to study the influence of the current harmonic on the motor magnetic field, a novel decoupling method of the motor magnetic field was proposed. On this basis, the difference of harmonic content in an air gap magnetic field was studied, and the influence of a harmonic current on the air gap flux density was obtained. Secondly, by comparing the fluctuation of the motor torque in the fundamental and different harmonic currents, the influence of harmonic on a motor torque ripple was determined. Then, the influence of different current harmonics on the eddy current loss of the motor was compared and analyzed, and the influence of the drive harmonic on the eddy current loss was obtained. Finally, by using a finite element method (FEM), the motor temperature distribution with different harmonics was obtained.

Opis:
The concentrated winding (CW) is obviously different from the traditional distributed winding (DW) in the arrangement of windings and the calculation of winding factors, which will inevitably lead to different performances of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). In order to analyze the differences between the CW and the DW in the performance, a 3 kW, 1500 r/min PMSM is taken as an example to establish a 2-D finite element model. The correctness of the model is verified by comparing experimental data and calculated data. Firstly, the finite element method (FEM) is used to calculate the electromagnetic field of the PMSM, and the performance parameters of the PMSM are obtained. On this basis, the influences of the two winding structures on the performance are quantitatively analyzed, and the differences between the two winding structures on the performance of the PMSM will be determined. Finally, the differences of efficiency between the two winding structures are obtained. In addition, the influences of the winding structures on eddy current loss are further studied, and the mechanism of eddy current loss is revealed by studying the eddy current density. The analysis of this paper provides reference and practical value for the optimization design of the PMSM.

In order to compare the performance difference of the permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) with different rotor structure, two kinds of rotor magnetic circuit structure with surface-mounted radial excitation and tangential excitation are designed respectively. By comparing and analyzing the results, the difference of the motor performance was determined. Firstly, based on the finite element method (FEM), the motor electromagnetic field performance was studied, and the magnetic field distribution of the different magnetic circuit structure was obtained. The influence mechanism of the different magnetic circuit structure on the air gap flux density was obtained by using the Fourier theory. Secondly, the cogging torque, output torque and overload capacity of the PMSM with different rotor structure were studied. The effect mechanism of the different rotor structure on the motor output property difference was obtained. The motor prototype with two kinds of rotor structure was manufactured, and the experimental study was carried out. By comparing the experimental data and simulation data, the correctness of the research is verified. This paper lays a foundation for the research on the performance of the PMSM with different magnetic circuit structure.

The Halbach array structure rotor of the aero motor can satisfy the requirements of high power density and high air-gap flux for aeronautical motors. The size parameters of the rotor are determined by the power rating of the motor based on an analytic method. Producing a Halbach array structure is difficult. Comparison and analysis of the structure of the aero motor showthat the overall structure of the rotor adopts a three-axial-section classic Halbach-array hollow structure, and the rotor magnetic steel adopts a discrete structure of 4 blocks per pole and a single 45◦ magnetisation mode, which reduces the processing difficulty of the rotor magnetic steel. The finite element method was used to analyse the magnetic flux density distribution of the aeronautical motor under various working conditions. The results show that the motor can produce uniform air-gap flux density at various working conditions and present good sinusoidal periodicity. Furthermore, the axial segment did not produce obvious magnetic flux leakage. Finally, considering the eddy current loss of the stator under the rated power-generation condition with high-frequency magnetic field, we conducted coupling analysis of electromagnetic and heat flows to verify that the thermal characteristics of the rotor magnetic steel material could meet the requirements for the aero motor.

The reverse flotation of quartz and other gangue silicate minerals with alkyl amines is an important and well known strategy for the processing of iron ore, low grade bauxite ore, and phosphate rock. Some details of amine adsorption by quartz have been described in the literature, but little is known about the disposition of amine during bubble attachment. Now, a new experimental procedure involving vibrational sum frequency spectroscopy (VSFS) has been developed to provide, for the first time, a more detailed analysis of the state of dodecyl amine (DDA) adsorption at different interfaces during bubble attachment/detachment at a silica surface. The results show that the hydrophobic surface state at the silica surface is created by the transfer of a well-organized monolayer of DDA from the bubble surface to the silica surface during bubble contact and attachment.

In order to investigate the impact of density on the classification behavior of particles in the static classifier of Vertical Spindle Mill, the sensitivity of overflow yield to the increase of air amount for narrowly sized pyrite, carborundum, quartz and coal samples were compared in a lab-scale classifier, respectively. Response surface methodology is used to analyze the combined effect of size and density on the classification. Wide size classification was also conducted and results show that both the yield and R90 of overflow increase with the decreasing of density, and the growth of air amount would also lead them to rise. The Whiten’s model was applied to illustrate the influence of density on the sharpness of classification, corrected cut size and fishhook effect. Results show that material with a lower density would have a higher fishhook effect parameter, classification sharpness and corrected cut size. The increase of air amount would result in a more evident fishhook effect for the high density material. Based on the Whiten’s model, a new classification efficiency model with the addition of particle density in various forms was established. This new model could describe the classification efficiency of materials with different density in the identical experiment conditions.

The experiment was conducted to determine the airflow resistance of lathyrus. The raw material was brought from a university farm. Airflow resistances of three varieties of lathyrus (cv. NLK-40, Pratik and Ratan) were studied with a laboratory instrument at moisture content of 7.33 to 18.80, 6.75 to 18.30 and 7.90 to 19.40% (d.b.) for superficial air velocities ranging from 0.04 to 1.26, 0.04 to 1.40 and 0.04 to 1.48 m3 s-1 m-2 at bed depths of 0.2 to 0.6 m with bulk density ranging from 805 to 895, 795 to 875 and 770 to 850 kg m-3, respectively. The airflow resistance of lathyrus increased with increase in airflow rate, bulk density, bed depth and decreased with moisture content. Modified Shedd equation, Hukill and Ives equation and modified Erguns equation were examined for pressure drop prediction. Airflow resistance was accurately described by modified Shedd equation followed by Hukill and Ives equation and modified Erguns equation. The developed statistical model, comprising airflow rate, moisture content and bulk density, could fit the pressure drop data reasonably well.
Badania przeprowadzono w celu określenia oporu aerodynamicznego ziarna lędźwianu siewnego. Materiał do badań otrzymano z gospodarstwa uniwersyteckiego. Opór aerodynamiczny trzech odmian lędźwianu siewnego (cv. NLK-40, Pratik i Ratan) badano za pomocą aparatury laboratoryjnej przy wilgotności ziarna od 7,33 do 18,80, 6,75 do 18,30 i 7,90 do 19,40% (s. m.), dla prędkości przepływu powietrza w zakresie od 0,04 do 1.26, 0,04 do 1,40 oraz 0,04 do 1,48 m3·s-1·m-2, przy grubości warstwy ziarna od 0,2 do 0,6 m i gęstości usypowej ziarna w zakresach od 805 do 895, 795 do 875 oraz 770 do 850 kg·m-3. Opór aerodynamiczny ziarna lędźwianu wzrastał ze wzrostem przepływu powietrza, gęstością, głębokością w warstwie, a zmniejszał się ze wzrostem wilgotności. Przeanalizowano zmodyfikowane równanie Shedd’a, równanie Hukilla oraz Ives’s, a także zmodyfikowane równanie Erguns’a pod kątem ich przydatności do prognozowania spadku ciśnienia. Opór aerodynamiczny ziarna lędźwianu był poprawnie opisywany przez zmodyfikowane równanie Shedd’a, a w dalszej kolejności przez równanie Hukilla i Ivesa oraz zmodyfikowane równanie Erguns’a. Opracowany model statystyczny, obejmujący prędkość przepływu powietrza, wilgotność ziarna oraz jego gęstość usypową, charakteryzował się dość dobrym dopasowaniem danych dotyczących spadku ciśnienia.

Wzrost natężenia ruchu samochodowego, a tym samym wzrost emisji zanieczyszczeń do atmosfery powoduje istotną zmianę jakości powietrza w obrębie drogowych węzłów komunikacyjnych, szczególnie o dużym natężeniu ruch samochodowego. Na podstawie badań przeprowadzonych w wybranych drogowych węzłach komunikacyjnych Opola wykazano, iż na obszarach tych występuje zjawisko pojawiania się okresowego niedoboru tlenu w powietrzu. Te okresowe niedobory ilości tlenu oraz wzrostu stężenia tlenków azotu w powietrzu występują, nie tylko na obszarze rond komunikacyjnych, ale co jest także istotne wzdłuż ulic stykających się z danym rondem drogowym. Poziom ubytku tlenu w powietrzu jest znaczy i bardzo szybki wraz ze wzrostem natężenia ruchu drogowego. Wynosi on od 0,2 do 1,2%, a w skrajnym wypadku dochodziła nawet do 2,8% objętości.
The growth of intensity of car movement causes on area of and roads of the communication crossings the quality change. The results of testing of influence intensity movement vehicles in running were introduced on level the concentration in air the oxygen and oxides of nitrogen on of the communication routes. It the formation in air the deficit of oxygen was showed was both on area of road roundabout, as and along streets. The study was conducted on chosen crossings and along roads of city of Opole. The level of decrease of oxygen in air is considerable and very the quick together with growth of traffic density. The decrease of oxygen in air the carried out from 0,2 to 1,2 %, and level 2,8% in extreme case achieved volume.

In order to explain the effect of air entraining admixture (AEA) and the type of cement on the properties of fresh mortar, the following tests were carried: bulk density, flaw and air content of 20 air entrained mortars and 20 nan air entrained mortars made of ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and blended Portland cements: blast furnace slag (BSF) - limestone powder (LP), fly ash - limestone, fly ash (FA) and (BFS) cement. It has been found that the modern anionic AEAs from the group of alkyl sulfates are much more efficient and active than traditional ones i.e. sodium abietate. It is difficult to entrain air into mortars with cement of various types to the same content of air. This requires to carry out a number of tests to determine the appropriate amounts of AEA. The air entrainment of LP cement mortar does not significantly change its flow. The air entrainment of BSF and FA cement mortars increases their workability. The lowest content of air was stated in non-air-entrained mortars with FA cement, the highest air content was observed in BFS cement mortars. According to the results the bulk density of mortars is inversely proportional to the amount of air entrained.

Longleaf pine is an important tree species in the southeastern United States and studying the temporal patterns of pollen shedding is crucial to a better understanding of its phenology and seed production. In this study, field observation data on the timing of pollen shedding from 1958 to 2013 were analyzed with reference to local weather conditions. Our results indicated that the time of peak pollen shedding after January 1 (TPPS) ranged from 53 days (about February 22) to 95 days (around April 5). There was no significant trend of decreasing TPPS. The number of days with the maximum air temperature above 0 °C was close to the TPPS. The accumulated maximum daily air temperature for the TPPS approximated an average of 1,342 °C. The TPPS declined with an increase in the average air temperature during winters. The time of 80% accumulated pollen density (TAPD) varied from 5 to 32 days, with an average of 13 days. Taylor’s power-law was evident in the TAPD data, with the time group of 10–15 days having an interval time of 2 years. Winter weather was not correlated with the TAPD. These results provide new information concerning the pollen phenology for longleaf pine trees

W badaniach zastosowano ziarno owsa Sławko o wilgotności 15% w stanie usypnym oraz po poddaniu go obciążeniu o wartości 17,5-70 kPa w czasie 2-24 h. Uzyskano zmniejszenie porowatości w porównaniu do ziarna nie obciążonego o 21,38% i wzrost gęstości o 1,19 raza. Maksymalny opór przepływu powietrza (7,19 hPaxdm-1) otrzymano dla największej wartości prędkości, która w doświadczeniu zmieniała się w przedziale 0,15-0,5 mxs-1 i najmniejszej porowatości. Opór wzrósł 7,91 raza w porównaniu do oporu przepływu powietrza o prędkości 0,15 mxs-1 przez ziarno wcześniej nie obciążone. Stosując estymację nieliniową opisano zależność porowatości ziarna od wartości obciążenia i czasu jego trwania oraz wpływ prędkości powietrza i porowatości owsa na opór jednostkowy przepływu powietrza.
The researchers used grains of the Sławko variety oats with 15% moisture content, in loose form, after having put it to the load of 17.5-70 kPa over 2-24 h. They obtained porosity reduction of 21.38% and density increase by 1.19 times, as compared to unloaded grain. Maximum air flow resistance (7.19 hPaxdm-1) was reached for the largest velocity value, which ranged from 0.15 to 0.5 mxs-1 in the experiment, and for lowest porosity. The resistance grew 7.91 times, as compared to the resistance of air flow at the velocity of 0.15 mos-1 through previously unloaded grain. Non-linear estimation was applied to characterise the relation between grain porosity and load value and its duration, and the impact of air velocity and oats porosity on air flow unit resistance.
