Porównano efekty nauczania metodami: e-learningu oraz metodą tradycyjną, zastosowanymi w nauczaniu przedmiotu "Maszyny Rolnicze" (w trzech tematach). W obu grupach studentów (tradycyjna i e-learningowa) przeprowadzano zaliczenie w tym samym czasie. Testy zaliczeniowe były identycznej treści. Wszyscy biorący udział w głównym eksperymencie byli studentami II roku Wydziału Rolniczego. Można stwierdzić, że e-learning jest przydatnym narzędziem wspomagającym nauczanie przedmiotu technicznego na studiach wyższych. Szczególną zaletą jest ogromne znaczenie motywacyjne. Jednakże, ponieważ studenci uczeni e-learningowo nie są bezpośrednio kontrolowani, wymaga się od nich więcej samodyscypliny.
The researchers compared the results of teaching using two methods: e-learning and conventional, for the subject "Farm Machines" (in three topics). Both student groups (conventional and e-learning) were getting credits for the subject at the same time. Credit tests were identical in content. All participants in the main experiment were 2-nd year students at the Department of Agriculture. The research has showed that e-learning is a useful tool supporting teaching of technical subject at a university level. Its particular advantage is an immense motivating value. However, since students taught using the e-learning method are beyond direct control, they are required to have more self discipline.

This research aims to study the application of using films in teaching the Arabic language to Korean students. Recently, level based classes and developing communication skills are becoming important goals in foriegn language education. The most effective way to develop the student’s communication skills is to expose them to real life situations and related resources. Films are replicas of real life situations and thus are effective especially in teaching spoken language. This research implies the following things to Arabic education. First, it is best to provide realistic data to students to improve their communication skills. Selecting films that contain conversations and expressions that are used every day, while avoiding violence or contents of too much slang, will allow students to continuously remain interested and focused. Second, a program that connects films to CD-ROM for textbooks needs to be created. Additionally, there is a need to increase the understanding of spoken language through various study programs for Korean teachers. Finally, using interesting films to motivate students will have positive effects and will allow them to approach Arabic through understanding of the language rather than pure memorization.

The study presents results of research investigations conducted in one elementary school in connection with implementation of mathematics teaching in English using the CLIL method. The aim of the presented case study was to contribute to uncovering the influence of this teaching method on the academic results of pupils in mathematics and the study outlines briefly an analysis of the pupils’ strategies used when solving word problems at elementary school level. At the same time, the paper also presents possible causes of the changes, which were identified in the pupils’ ways of solving word problems.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwości zastosowania metody elementów skończonych w analizie i pomiarach wielkości opisujących pole magnetyczne. Pomiary przeprowadzono w programie QuickField. Wykorzystanie metody symulacji w obrębie indukcyjności umożliwia ocenę pracy modelu w ustalonych warunkach zewnętrznych oraz wprowadzenie modyfikacji konstrukcyjnych układu. Program ten może być również środowiskiem dydaktycznym w kształceniu zdalnym i technicznym uczniów.
In the paper have been presented the possibility of using the finite element method in the analysis and measurements that describe the size of the magnetic field. Measurements were performed in program QuickField. The use of simulation methods within the inductance model allows evaluation of the work under specified conditions, external and structural modifications of the system. This program can be also using in environment educational in technical education students.

This article discusses the various problems one faces as a teacher of Latin in Poland. These problems are partly due to the permanently decreasing number of Latin lessons in schools. This decrease, however, has not been considered by those responsible for the core curriculum, which is now too extensive and does not match the amount of time provided for Latin classes. The lack of reform in the didactics of Latin also takes its toll (namely the continuous usage of the grammar-translation method). Direct methods, which include dr. Rouse’s method, Ørberg’s method and Assimil method (all discussed briefly in this article) could prove to be a useful solution to these problems.

Educational activities have always been accompanied by a tendency to look to achieve optimal results. New and better teaching methods have been searched for, that would not only accelerate the learning process itself, but also make it more attractive and efficient. In present-day earlyschool education, we are dealing with a new type of pupil, using a set of learning methods and techniques that are totally different from those used previously. In this scenario, traditional learning methods may come to seem inadequate from the point of view of ensuring the attractiveness and efficiency of the educational process. From the very beginning, the implementation of an integrated conception of education in the context of reforming early-school education has raised fears that such reforms could bring about a deterioration into mere routines. The materials prepared for teachers in the form of many didactic studies, programs and methodical guidebooks, for the most part contain, at the level of their methodological planning, just one way of implementing this idea: namely, so-called methodical cycles. Presenting in principle just one form of implementation of such integration naturally leads to uniformity and descends into mere routine – at least where the implementation of such an educationally important idea is concerned. If we are looking for interesting solutions for early-school education, then it is surely worth noting the interesting and valuable form of integrated work known as the project method. This refers to an active methodology based on the exploratory activities of pupils, whose main goal is to bring it about that the knowledge entertained by pupils is of an integrated nature, making it coherent and systematic, and thus dynamic, flexible, and maximally available for the individual – both for purposes of reflection and in the form of a readiness to act in various situations. The basic value of this method just consists in teaching how to act, manage one’s own work, and make use of one’s own experience in various teaching situations. At the same time, it builds up skills connected with communication, negotiation, decision-making, and coping with atypical situations, releasing leadership potential and instilling selfconfidence – something that in turn allows one to function actively in society, planning one’s life in a fully conscious way.
Dążenie do osiągania optymalnych wyników towarzyszyło działaniom edukacyjnym od zawsze. Poszukiwano nowych, lepszych metod nauczania, które nie tylko znacznie przyspieszą sam proces uczenia się, ale uczynią go też bardziej atrakcyjnym i efektywnym. We współczesnej edukacji wczesnoszkolnej mamy do czynienia z nowym typem ucznia, do którego należy dotrzeć przy pomocy zupełnie innego niż dotychczas zestawu metod i technik nauczania. Tradycyjne metody nauczania mogą okazać się niewystarczające dla zapewnienia atrakcyjności i skuteczności procesu edukacji. Wprowadzenie w reformie edukacji wczesnoszkolnej zintegrowanej koncepcji kształcenia od początku budziło obawy o schematyzm realizacyjny. Przygotowane dla nauczycieli materiały w formie wielu opracowań dydaktycznych, programów, przewodników metodycznych zawierają głównie w swej warstwie metodycznej jedną formę realizacji tej idei, czyli tzw. cykle metodyczne. Eksponowanie głównie jednej formy realizacji integracji prowadzi do jednostajności i schematyzmu w realizacji tak istotnej dla edukacji idei. Poszukując ciekawych rozwiązań w edukacji wczesnoszkolnej, warto zwrócić uwagę na interesującą i wartościową formę pracy zintegrowanej, jaką jest metoda projektów. Nawiązuje ona do metodyki aktywnej opartej na badawczej aktywności ucznia. Jej głównym celem jest dążenie do tego, aby wiedza w umyśle uczniów miała charakter zintegrowany, a więc była spójna i systemowa, a przez to dynamiczna, elastyczna, dostępna jednostce jako refleksja i gotowość do działania w zróżnicowanych sytuacjach. Podstawowa wartość tej metody polega właśnie na uczeniu działania, organizacji pracy własnej, wykorzystywaniu doświadczenia w różnych sytuacjach uczenia się. Buduje sprawność komunikowania, negocjowania, podejmowania decyzji, radzenia sobie w sytuacjach nietypowych. Wyzwala umiejętności przywódcze, uruchamia pewność siebie, pozwalającą na aktywne funkcjonowanie w społeczeństwie i w pełni świadome planowanie własnego życia.

The paper discusses the status quo and the would-be possibilities of kindergarten FL teaching. While analyzing the current forms and tendencies in teaching English to YL (Young Learners), it is postulated the only reliable form of teaching a FL to such groups of learners is to maximize their cognitive potential, so as to help them discover the language in an acquisitive way. Following the current research, it is suggested that the challenge-like conditions that are naturally formed to YL in the case of learning their mother tongue (MT) are to be extended so as to help them learn a FL as well. The final part of the paper provides a discussion over the current research results that refer to the paper topic.
W pracy omówiono stan obecny oraz możliwe drogi rozwoju istotnych zagadnień nauczania języka docelowego (drugiego) w odniesieniu do dzieci przedszkolnych. Na bazie analizy obecnych form oraz tendencji, jak również badań przeprowadzonych ostatnio w tym względzie, dotyczących nauki języka angielskiego w przedszkolach, został wysunięty postulat takiego połączenia pracy nad językiem angielskim w odniesieniu do tych grup uczniów, aby możliwie maksymalnie otworzyć ich aparat kognitywny na względnie naturalne możliwości zaznajamiania się z językiem docelowym. Końcowa część artykułu zawiera dyskusję uzyskanych wyników badawczych i wskazuje, iż nie wszystkie z badanych dzieci były w stanie samorzutnie przetworzyć warunki rzeczywistości nadanej (np. przez nauczyciela) na warunki rzeczywistości realnej (czyli osobistej komunikacji językowej).

The rich offer of language schools in Lublin advertises a wide spectrum of teaching methods with the aim of attracting new clients and enticing potential students. This abundance begs the question of how effective the methods employed by those schools really are in the process of foreign language teaching.

The aspect of nature has always been present in the general education canon. It has served as a tool for describing the Universe as well as the role and place of man – to satisfy the natural curiosity. Nowadays, natural and technical science are not only designed for giving pupils basic knowledge but also for educational purposes – developing certain attitude, internalizing values, interests, responsibility, and character traits. Only the selection of teaching methods, which enable pupils to actively engage in solving essential problems, undertake individual initiatives and studies, learn the value of work, and appreciate scientific achievements, can make their educational values fully revealed, understood and utilized. Getting to know the history of natural science and technology, and scientists’ and inventors’ biographies should cause deeper reflection on one’s role in multiplying and improving historical achievements of culture and civilization, and the importance of devotion, passion and persistence in achieving one’s purpose.
W kanonie edukacji od zawsze było miejsce na uczenie przyrody. Przedmiot ten służy nam jako narzędzie do opisywania wszechświata jak również roli i miejsca człowieka w świecie. Zgłębianie tej wiedzy zaspokaja naturalną ciekawość człowieka dotyczącą otaczającego go świata. W dzisiejszych czasach przyrodoznawstwo i nauki techniczne dążą nie tylko do przekazania uczniom podstawowej wiedzy. Ich zadaniem jest również osiągnięcie różnych celów dydaktycznych, takich jak: rozwijanie pożądanych postaw, zainteresowań, cech charakteru, poczucia odpowiedzialności i wpajanie określonych wartości. Jedynie dobór odpowiednich metod nauczania, które umożliwiają uczniom aktywne zaangażowanie się w rozwiązywanie problemów edukacyjnych, podejmowanie indywidualnej inicjatywy, zgłębianie przedmiotu, dostrzeganie wartości pracy oraz docenianie osiągnięć naukowych, może przyczynić się do pełnego obrazu wartości edukacyjnych, ich zrozumienia i przyswojenia. Poznanie historii nauk przyrodniczych, techniki oraz biografii naukowców i wynalazców powinno skłonić uczniów do głębszej refleksji na temat roli człowieka w powiększeniu i udoskonaleniu historycznych osiągnięć kultury i cywilizacji, znaczenia poświęcenia, pasji i nieustępliwości w dążeniu do celu.

The aim of the paper is to present the idea of using ANSYS software in teaching engineering students the finite element method. ANSYS is an extremely sophisticated engineering tool used in almost every engineering company nowadays. It is introduced to almost all engineering students during their studies. Using ANSYS knowingly requires perfect understanding of the finite element method that is responsible for ANSYS work. This paper presents how this professional software can help students master FEM. The first part of the paper introduces the finite element method. It also suggests a way of using ANSYS in teaching FEM on the example of a twodimensional restrained beam calculated in a simple computer program. The second part illustrates the effectiveness of ANSYS with sample FEM analysis of a planetary rover’s chassis and presents basic fuctionalities of ANSYS Workbench Mechanical. Conducted calculations provide useful data about the model’s suitability for its purpose and possibility of modifications.

Każdy z interlokutorów porusza te same zagadnienia, wspominając okres swoich studiów, uchylając rąbka tajemnicy własnego warsztatu artystycznego i peda-gogicznego, spojrzenia na sztukę i pracę zawodową. Taki zabieg pozwala na szerokie, wielopłaszczyznowe ukazanie relacji między profesorem a studentem, między mistrzem i uczniem. Projekt powstał po śmierci nieodżałowanego prof. Romana Staraka, który był mentorem i przyjacielem autorów artykułu.
The article contains subjective statements of three academic staff members of the Katowice School of Technology, professor Tadeusz Jackowski, Michalina Wawrzyczek- Klask MSc, and Artur Masternak MSc. These statements concern a broadly-understood subject of graphics, its development, experimenting with it, as well as private inspirations and authorities in the field. Each of the interlocutors talks about the same topic, remembering the time of his studies, and revealing a small part of their own artistic and teaching workshop, their view on art and professional work. Such an approach allows for a broad, multi-layered show of the relationship between professor and the student, the master and the apprentice. The project was completed after the death of the late great professor Roman Starak, who was a mentor and a friend of the authors of the article.
