The paper presents the framework for the assessment of digital educational resources for students who are engaged in autonomous personalized learning. Through a questionnaire and personal observations, we identified the necessity to equip students with skills and knowledge on resources quality assessment in terms of digital competence advancement. We adapted the framework that includes four components: pedagogical, technological, didactic and academic and expanded their content. Having analyzed the students’ narratives on their resources application experience, questionnaires answers and results of the personal assessment process, we observed the positive dynamic in mastering the skills of resources quality assessment after the implementation of the framework into the learning process. We suggest the algorithm of the framework implementation.

Learning resources are massive, heterogeneous, and constantly changing. How to find the required resources quickly and accurately has become a very challenging work in the management and sharing of learning resources. According to the characteristics of learning resources, this paper proposes a progressive learning resource description model, which can describe dynamic heterogeneous resource information on a fine-grained level by using information extraction technology, then a semantic annotation algorithm is defined to calculate the semantic of learning resource and add these semantic to the description model. Moreover, a semantic search method is proposed to find the required resources, which calculate the content with the highest similarity to the user query, and then return the results in descending order of similarity. The simulation results show that the method is feasible and effective.

The paper reports on an empirical survey aiming to find out what study resources university students use and whether the frequency of the use of specific resources is related to deep and surface approaches to learning. An exploratory survey was carried out using two instruments - the ASSIST questionnaire adapted for Czech students and a newly designed questionnaire The Use of Study Resources. The sample consisted of 2,671 students from six faculties. Results showed that the most frequently used resources were students’ own notes from lectures and seminars, presentations created by teachers and course readers. Statistical analysis proved that there is a relation between the frequency of the use of study resources and the student’s approach to learning.

Opis:
Japanese government internationalisation initiatives in recent years have aimed to create undergraduate courses that nurture “global human resources”. These initiatives involve objectives associated with developing skills, attitudes, and knowledge related to foreign language skills and intercultural understanding. However, educators at Japanese universities responsible for their development and implementation often lack adequate guidance to achieve such objectives. To address this gap, the author employed an interdisciplinary approach to establish a framework for cultivating global human resources, by means of a qualitative inquiry involving visual and narrative methods carried out over a one-semester period. The study's results emphasise the transformative and personal relationships that learners establish when engaging in the development of global human resources, a perspective that is mostly absent in the intercultural competence literature. Moreover, this study underlines the importance of producing and implementing interdisciplinary educational solutions that encourage university students to become personally invested in developing global human resources, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
