In the present work, the Fe-Al-X (X = Cu; Ni; Cr) metallic powders produced by the self-decomposition method of the Fe-Al doped alloys were examined by Mössbauer spectroscopy. The concentration of the Fe vacancies and the Fe atoms substituting Al (Fe-AS) was determined from the intensities of the sub-spectra in the Mössbauer analysis connected with distinct Fe environments. The results have shown that nickel and copper cause an increase of vacancy concentrations in comparison with the values found for Fe-Al metallic powders, whereas chromium decreases vacancy concentrations causing a significant increase of anti-site atoms Fe-AS concentration.

Opis:
Diagnostics of composite castings, due to their complex structure, requires that their characteristics are tested by an appropriate description method. Any deviation from the specific characteristic will be regarded as a material defect. The detection of defects in composite castings sometimes is not sufficient and the defects have to be identified. This study classifies defects found in the structures of saturated metallic composite castings and indicates those stages of the process where such defects are likely to be formed. Not only does the author determine the causes of structural defects, describe methods of their detection and identification, but also proposes a schematic procedure to be followed during detection and identification of structural defects of castings made from saturated reinforcement metallic composites. Alloys examination was conducted after technological process, while using destructive (macroscopic tests, light and scanning electron microscopy) and non-destructive (ultrasonic and X-ray defectoscopy, tomography, gravimetric method) methods. Research presented in this article are part of author’s work on castings quality.

Opis:
Quality and performance of wood and wood-based products have been seriously affected by the major factors, among which moisture content (MC), inappropriate drying (seasoning) and density are the preceding ones. A study was conducted on Gmelina arborea lumber with the main objective of determining some imperative seasoning and density characteristics of the lumber that will help determine its wood quality and decide proper utilization. Gmelina arborea logs were harvested from Bonga trial site of Central Ethiopian Environment and Forest Research Center (CEE-FRC). The experimental design for seasoning and density was complete randomized design. The experiments were conducted in air and kiln seasoning methods. Mean initial moisture content (IMC) of samples were determined using oven and MC for air seasoning stack was 143.80%, while for kiln seasoning was 120.19%. The final MC to reach to about 12% MC in air took 210 days, while kiln seasoning took 13.5 days. Kiln seasoning rate of Gmelina arborea lumber was 15 times faster than air seasoning. The species was classified as slow and fairly rapid air and kiln seasoning lumber species, respectively. When Gmelina arborea lumber seasoned from green to 12% MC, mean shrinkage (%) characteristic values: Tangential (3.63%), radial 1.58%), and volumetric (5.11 %). Mean density of Gmelina arborea lumber species at green (initial), basic and oven dried and at 12% MC was 940,400, 430 and 420 kg/m3, respectively. The density at 12% MC, (420 kg/m3) classified as light density lumber species. Gmelinaarboreashown good quality lumber characteristics, comparable with many indigenous and homegrown exotic lumber species in density, seasoning rate and shrinkage characteristics.

In this research, the quality of manufactured cast metal-ceramic foams (manufactured using blowing gas) was tested. The causes responsible for defect formation in the composite foams and their consequences were analyzed using the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) method, which is a useful tool for minimizing losses caused by low product quality. This method involves analytically determining correlations between the cause and consequences of potential product defects, and it takes into account the criticality factor (risk). The FMEA analysis showed that pore breaks were the most "critical defect" (with the highest number of effects on the product, the Risk Priority Number, affecting the quality of the composite foam). The second most critical defect was discontinuities in the foam frame structure. Destruction or damage to the foam structure (although very rare) deprived the composite foam of its primary function, which is to reinforce the product. The third most critical defect was non-uniform foam pore size.

Opis:
The positron lifetime spectra in iron defected with a beam of Bi+51 and Kr+27 ions of energies 670 MeV and 240 MeV, respectively, were investigated. These spectra were analysed by an appropriate separation in 1, 2 or 3 components. It has been found that the experimental data best fit to the assumed model if only two components are taken into account. For comparison, we investigated both irradiated and non-irradiated surfaces of the sample. We have taken into account the fact that the range of penetration of iron by Bi and Kr ions is small. The dependence of the positron lifetime spectra on the absorbed dose and kind of the bombarding ions is presented.

This is a study of the possibilities of a qualitative evaluation of protective materials with active thermography. It presents a simulation of a periodic excitation of a multilayer composite material. Tests were conducted with lock-in thermography on Kevlar® composite consisting of 16 layers of Kevlar® fabric reinforced with formaldehyde resin with implanted delamination defects. Lock-in thermography is a versatile tool for nondestructive evaluation. It is a fast, remote and nondestructive procedure. Hence, it was used to detect delaminations in the composite structure of materials used in the production of components designed for personal protection. This method directly contributes to an improvement in safety.

Glycosylation is a form of post-translational modification of proteins and occurs in every living cell. The carbohydrate chains attached to the proteins serve various functions. There are two main types of protein glycosylation: N-glycosylation and O-glycosylation. In this paper, we describe the O-glycosylation process and currently known congenital disorders of glycosylation associated with defects of protein O-glycosylation. This process takes place in the cis Golgi apparatus after N-glycosylation and folding of the proteins. The O-glycosylation is essential in the biosynthesis of mucins, the formation of proteoglycan core proteins and blood group proteins. Most common forms of O-glycans are the mucin-type glycans. There are more than 20 known disorders related to O-glycosylation disturbances. We review 8 of the following diseases linked to defects in the synthesis of O-xylosylglycans, O-N acetylgalactosaminylglycans, O-xylosyl/N-acetylglycans, O-mannosylglycans, and O-fucosylglycans: multiple exostoses, progeroid variant of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, progeria, familial tumoral calcinosis, Schneckenbecken dysplasia, Walker-Warburg syndrome, spondylocostal dysostosis type 3, and Peter's plus syndrome. Causes of these diseases include gene mutations and deficiency of proteins (enzymes). Their diagnosis includes syndromic presentation, organ-specific expression and laboratory findings.

Glycosylation is the most common chemical process of protein modification and occurs in every living cell. Disturbances of this process may be either congenital or acquired. Congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG) are a rapidly growing disease family, with about 50 disorders reported since its first clinical description in 1980. Most of the human diseases have been discovered recently. CDG result from defects in the synthesis of the N- and O-glycans moiety of glycoproteins, and in the attachment to the polypeptide chain of proteins. These defects have been found in the activation, presentation, and transport of sugar precursors, in the enzymes responsible for glycosylation, and in proteins that control the traffic of component. There are two main types of protein glycosylation: N-glycosylation and O-glycosylation. Most diseases are due to defects in the N-glycosylation pathway. For the sake of convenience, CDG were divided into 2 types, type I and II. CDG can affect nearly all organs and systems. The considerable variability of clinical features makes it difficult to recognize patients with CDG. Diagnosis can be made on the basis of abnormal glycosylation display. In this paper, an overview of CDG with a new nomenclature limited to the group of protein N-glycosylation disorders, clinical phenotype and diagnostic approach, have been presented. The location, reasons for defects, and the number of cases have been also described. This publication aims to draw attention to the possibility of occurrence of CDG in each multisystem disorder with an unknown origin.

The aim of this study was to prepare and evaluate the properties of a new membrane dedicated for the treatment of bone defects in periodontology according to guided tissue regeneration (GTR) technique. The first part of this study was to prepare the membrane from resorbable poly(L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) and verify its microstructure. Biological evaluation was lead using the cells interesting from the point of view of GTR, e.g. human fibroblasts and mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC). It was found that the obtained membrane has asymmetric microstructure and defined pore size. Cell culture experiments show that the membrane is biocompatible with fibroblasts and hMSC. Both types of cell proliferated well on the membrane. HMSC cultured on the membrane exhibited better osteogenic differentiation and higher mineralization as compared to control tissue culture polystyrene.

The process of production and processing and preparation for distribution of steel products is associated with the requirements of maintaining appropriate procedures. They allow, in accordance with industry standards to avoid unforeseen problems associated with the preparation, implementation and finalization of activities aimed at achieving the intended purpose, which is a finished product of adequate quality and customer satisfaction. It is not always possible in the production process to meet all the requirements and technological, organizational and human factor recommendations. The analysis of selected problems, which includes the content of the article allows to significantly determine the factors and parameters associated with the preparation and technical implementation affecting the implementation of the intended objectives of the company, i.e. achieving an appropriate level of quality and minimizing the defects in the process of steel sheet preparation. Analysis of selected parameters was made on the basis of data obtained in the company operating on the international market Company Steel Service Poland. At the request of company representatives, the name has been changed due to the production data used in the article, which may be considered as sensitive. The article contains data based on research carried out in Steel Service Poland. Selected problems are the subject of analysis of steel sheets cutting processes with the analysis of causes of customer complaints with reference to the produced steel products. Selected steel grades and factors affecting the efficiency of the technological process are presented. The analysed set of factors translates into the level of product quality and reduction of arising defects.

The paper discusses legal consequences of violations of law which may occur in the course of passing resolutions by shareholders or when convening the meeting. Such violations take the form of procedural infringements, as opposed to material defects which concern the subject matter of the resolution. Several jurisdictions were taken into account in order to demonstrate that illegality of the procedure does not need to imply nullity of resolutions. There are various instruments which, despite illegality, are intended to preserve the resolution. This is all about the balance of preferences: in company law there are definitely situations where legality should be less valued than stability and certainty.

The aim of the study was clinical evaluation of the results following reconstruction with the Indian flap in patients with partial nasal defects, and estimation of their postoperative life quality in functional and aesthetic aspects. Material and methods. We analyzed results in 38 patients who underwent reconstructions with the Indian flap in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery between years 2000‑2013. The patients were followed-up for at least 2 years. We estimated their life quality in aesthetic and functional aspects after surgery. Results. Observed complications of nasal reconstruction were alar asymmetry in 6 patients (15.8%), nasal obstruction in 6 persons (15.8%), wide postoperative scar in 4 (10.5%), and non-aesthetic appearance of the donor site in two cases (5.3%). Estimation of life quality post surgery in the examined group of patients revealed significant postoperative improvement in both functional and aesthetic aspects. Conclusions. 1. Reconstructions of nasal defects with the Indian flap resulted in satisfactory longterm postoperative results, which confirms the efficiency of the applied technique. 2. Reconstructive surgery with Indian flap of individuals with partial nasal defects contributed to significant postoperative improvement in both functional and aesthetic aspects and their life quality.

The effect of ultrasonic vibration on the microstructure, elimination of casting defects and distribution of alloyed elements at macro-scale during solidification of 35CrMo steel has been investigated. Results show that ultrasonic treatment has a significant effect on the grain refinement, especially the fragmentation of the secondary dendritic arms of the studied steel. Density of the casting defects decreases and the alloyed elements are seen more even distribution at macro-scale with the introduction of ultrasonic vibration. Meanwhile, the ultrasonic vibration works more efficiently in the longitudinal direction than in the radial, and its efficiency declines with the distance from the radiator increasing.

The influence of sandblasting on surface and subsurface of stainless steel is investigated using variable energy positron beam (VEP), positron annihilation spectroscopy (PAS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Samples of stainless steel were blasted using 110 μm particles of Al2O3 under different pressure and time duration. In the case of sandblasting for 90 s, the reduction of positron diffusion length depending on the applied pressure was observed. Sandblasting during 30 s leads only to the reduction of positron diffusion length to about 60 nm for all samples. Positron lifetimes close to 170 ps measured using positrons emitted directly from the source point to the presence of vacancies on the dislocation lines. SEM and AFM images show that surface roughness depends rather on pressure of sandblasting than time of exposition.

Opis:
The work concerns of modeling the process of manufacturing machine parts by casting method. Making a casting without internal defects is a difficult task and usually requires numerous computer simulations and their experimental verification at the prototyping stage. Numerical simulations are then of priority importance in determining the appropriate parameters of the casting process and in selecting the shape of the riser for the casting fed with it. These actions are aimed at leading shrinkage defects to the riser, so that the casting remains free from this type of defects. Since shrinkage defects usually disqualify the casting from its further use, this type of research is still valid and requires further work. The paper presents the mathematical model and the results of numerical simulations of the casting solidification process obtained by using the Finite Element Method (FEM). A partial differential equation describing the course of thermal phenomena in the process of 3D casting creating was applied. This equation was supplemented with appropriate boundary and initial conditions that define the physical problem under consideration. In numerical simulations, by selecting the appropriate shape riser, an attempt was made to obtain a casting without internal defects, using a simple method of identifying their location. This is the main aim of the research as such defects in the casting disqualify it from use.

The increasing of gasmotocompressors (GMC) reliability, operated on the booster compressor stations, underground gas storages with significant deterioration of the park units are the actual problems. The greatest attention should be paid timely detection of conrod bearings defects for the prevention of necks crankshaft scoring. Statistics increase of late crank bearings defects shows that scheduled repairs not ensure reliable operation of GMC. Improving the reliability of GMC through the detection in time the crank bearings defects is only possible using the methods and diagnostic tools for calculating the probability of failure-free operation, equipment failure rate during its operation. Increased probability of crank bearings defects detection is possible by the determination of dependence of levels of crank bearings vibration on gasmotocompressors 10 GKN operational capacity. For efficient conducting of connecting rod vibration condition monitoring on units with different power the software was developed and methods of using the obtained models depending on the power levels of vibration were elaborated.

The article specifies the dependence of defects occurring in the lamination process in the production of yachts. Despite great knowledge about their genesis, they cannot be completely eliminated. Authentic data obtained through cooperation with one of the Polish yacht shipyards during the years 2013–2017 were used for the analysis. To perform a simulation, the sample size was observed in 1450 samples, consisting of 6 models of yachts with closed and open deck. Finding the dependence of the occurrence of specific defects will allow for faster procedures and more effective quality control, which will contribute to lower costs. The use of new methods based on artificial intelligence related to Big Data allows for easier observation of dependencies in the complex structure of data from yacht production. The association rules were defined using the algorithm Apriori and define interdependent defects. A number of dependencies were found for the occurrence of production defects not obvious to technologists, but occurring with a high probability of coexistence. The presented research results may allow the planning process of production tasks to be improved.

Opis:
Article discusses issues related to the weakened strength of the joints in conveyor belts. Joints are the weakest element of the belt and should be taken aimed at eliminating the errors made that may be caused by multiple factors. Every breakdown generates additional costs in the company so this is important to decrease their number. All analyzed joints were made using belts with steel cords. The results were obtained from the Conveyor Transport Laboratory at the Wroclaw University of Technology. The assessment showed a significant impact of the working defects on joint strength. Also the trend analysis performed on the samples of regenerated belts showed a linear decrease in strength along with the degree of regeneration.

Opis:
This article presents an analysis of the effect of cavitation on the erosion of pressure moulds intended for the HPDC casting mould manufacturing process. Changes in the surface area of the eroded areas were investigated via photographs of castings at the beginning of the mould life as well as at 30%. The individual process variables were described and their influence verified via the cavitation potential module of the Flow3D simulation programme. The results are presented graphically with a description of the relationships and observations. The summary provides an explanation of the results and the dependencies that occurred.

Opis:
The first buildings composed of prefabricated elements appeared in Poland in the 1960s and large housing estates were constructed in this technology already in the 1970s. Rising housing demands had impact on the rapid development of factory-produced structures and the creation of a series of technologies, such as Wk-70, Wrocław Large Panel (WWP) or the Szczecin system (Sz-s). Over the years, several defects of this technology have surfaced on different levels of building erection or exploitation. Part of these flaws was related with the aesthetics of the structures, without influence in their construction, whereas others required fast actions for maintenance of safety to the residents. The paper presents an overview of the most important Polish systems of large panel structures, as well as the sources of defects and flaws that may appear in buildings constructed in this technology.

In this work nanocomposite porous pins were implanted into rabbit knees. The pins were made of biodegradable synthetic poly-L/DL-lactide (80:20) which was modified with nanometric hydroksyapatite particles (HAp) and covered with biopolymer layer of sodium alginate (NA). In vivo experiments were conducted on a 4-element group of the New Zealand rabbits. Osteogenesis was observed using scanning electron microscope (SEM/EDS) after 12 weeks of implantation.

The transition regions of GdSiO/SiOx and HfO2/ SiOx interfaces have been studied with the high-k layers deposited on silicon substrates. The existence of transition regions was verified by medium energy ion scattering (MEIS) data and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). From measurements of thermally stimulated current (TSC), electron states were found in the transition region of the HfO2/SiOx structures, exhibiting instability attributed to the flexible structural molecular network expected to surround the trap volumes. The investigations were focused especially on whether the trap states belong to an agglomeration consisting of a single charge polarity or of a dipole constellation. We found that flat-band voltage shifts of MOS structures, that reach constant values for increasing oxide thickness, cannot be taken as unique evidence for the existence of dipole layers.

Definition of a composite [1] describes an ideal composite material with perfect structure. In real composite materials, structure is usually imperfect - composites contain various types of defects [2, 3-5], especially as the casted composites are of concern. The reason for this is a specific structure of castings, related to course of the manufacturing process. In case of metal matrix composite castings, especially regarding these manufactured by saturation, there is no classification of these defects [2, 4]. Classification of defects in castings of classic materials (cast iron, cast steel, non-ferrous alloys) is insufficient and requires completion of specific defects of mentioned materials. This problem (noted during manufacturing metal matrix composite castings with saturated reinforcement in Institute of Basic Technical Sciences of Maritime University Szczecin) has become a reason of starting work aimed at creating such classification. As a result, this paper was prepared. It can contribute to improvement of quality of studied materials and, as a consequence, improve the environment protection level.

Neural tube defects are abnormalities that can occur in the brain (anencephaly, encephalocele), spine (spina bifida, myelomeningocele, myelodysplasia), both brain and spine (craniorachischisis) or spinal column of a developing embryo that are present at birth. They arise when the neural tube, the embryonic precursor of the brain and spinal cord, fails to close during neurulation. Many cases of neural tube defects occur worldwide each year in more than 300,000 newborn babies and are a significant cause of infant death and lifelong disability. Most neural tube defects are preventable. The prevalence of these abnormalities has decreased in the past 20 to 30 years due to periconceptional folate supplementation, food fortification and decreased exposure to environmental factors. Women who are planning to conceive should be informed about the importance of folic acid in fetal development and encouraged to take 400 μg/day of folic acid supplements. Numerous research studies have shown that taking this dosage of folic acid before and during early pregnancy significantly reduces the risk of neural tube defects. For that reason it is important to increase the awareness of women in childbearing age about the necessity of primary prevention and folate intake which is a strong factor that has wide implications in public health in reducing the mortality and morbidity of offspring.

The leading thought of the present text is that the internal combustion engine noise – regardless of all possible inconveniences – is a good information carrier that allows for the explicit diagnostics of such subtle defect as the valve face decrement which is so small that it is in practice ‘unnoticeable’ by the standard diagnostic-controlling system of a passenger car. However, such defect at its further propagation can be much more dangerous. Thus, diagnosing its initial state is worth trying. This study is a continuation of investigations where efforts were undertaken to perform the efficient diagnostics on the bases of observations and analyses of mechanical vibrations of the engine head.

Powszechnie znana wada hydroksyapatowego materiału implantacyjnego w postaci granul dotyczy braku poręczności chirurgicznej. Problem ten może być rozwiązany poprzez przygotowanie odpowiedniego materiału kompozytowego. Wytworzono nowy małoplastyczny organiczno/nieorganiczny kompozyt posiadający korzystne właściwości mechaniczne, który okazał się być zdolnym do częściowego dopasowywania do kształtu i wymiarów miejsca implantacyjnego. Kompozyt może być suszony i ponownie nasączany, daje się przechowywać przez co najmniej 2 lata i sterylizować bez utraty swoich właściwości. Jego parametry mechaniczne przypominają te, które wykazuje kość gąbczasta. Po implantacji do przetok ustno-nosowych w modelu psim, okazał się być dobrym materiałem w procesie ich leczenia, zapobiegając zapaleniom nosa i zachłystowemu zapaleniu płuc. Te właściwości czynią opisany kompozyt obiecującym materiałem dla wypełnień ubytków kości.
Commonly known disadvantage of granular hydroxyapatite implantation material concerns the lack of its surgical handiness. This problem can be solved by preparing the suitable composite material. A new low ductile organic/inorganic composite possessing profitable mechanical properties has been created and it was found to be able to adapt to some ex-tent to shape and dimensions of implantation site. The composite can be dried and soaked again, may be stored for at least 2 years and sterilized without loss of its properties. Its mechanical parameters resemble those of spongy bone. After implantation into oronasal fistulae dog model, it served as a good material for fistula’s repair, preventing appearance of nasal rhinitis and aspiration pneumonia. These properties make the composite a promising biomaterial for filling of bone defects.

Objectives This paper assesses the effect of neurophysiological rehabilitation in children with postural defects on the depth of thoracic kyphosis, lateral spinal deviation and rotation of spinal motor segments. Material and Methods A total of 201 patients aged 8–15 years old with a postural defect diagnosed by medical examination were enrolled. The analyzed parameters were determined using the DIERS system before the first therapeutic session and after 4 weeks of therapy. The angle of thoracic kyphosis, lateral deviation of the spine and spinal rotation were assessed. The therapy employed techniques associated with the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and Vojta’s approaches. The results were analyzed separately for both sexes and for patients rehabilitated solely with Vojta’s techniques vs. patients rehabilitated according to combined Vojta’s and PNF techniques. The χ² test was used for statistical analyses, at p < 0.05. Results There was improvement in the angle of thoracic kyphosis, ranging from 0.14 (among boys with kyphosis < 42°) to 5.47 (among girls with kyphosis ≥ 42°), spinal rotation, from 0.37 (among boys with kyphosis ≥ 42°) to 4.33 (among patients with kyphosis ≥ 42° rehabilitated solely according to Vojta’s method), and lateral deviations, ranging from 1.32 mm (among boys with kyphosis < 42°) to 2.99 mm (among patients with kyphosis ≥ 42° rehabilitated solely according to Vojta’s method). Conclusions Neurophysiological rehabilitation of patients with postural defects produced positive effects by improving the angle of thoracic kyphosis, spinal rotation and lateral deviation of the spine. Children with reduced thoracic kyphosis achieved less improvement in the kyphosis angle, lateral spinal deviation and spinal rotation than children with kyphosis ≥ 42°. Samples of Fe61Co10Y8Cu1B20 alloy were investigated in the ‘approach to ferromagnetic saturation’ region by using the Kronmüller method. The amorphous material was obtained by radially cooling the molten alloy under a protective atmosphere of inert gas. Following this manufacturing process, static magnetic hysteresis loops were measured for samples, before and after a controlled isothermal annealing process, using a LakeShore vibrating magnetometer (VSM). From analysis of the primary magnetization curves, the distribution of structural defects and the average exchange distance for these defects were determined.

This paper presents initial research on the surfaces of cutting ceramic plates ground using diamond grinding wheels. Ceramic materials were ground using a piezoelectric feed-in system whose aim was to minimize the effect of brittle cracking of the ceramic material in the machining zone. Due to precise machining it is possible to smooth out the machined surface by ductile-regime grinding the material removal mechanism and, in consequence, reducing the defects on its surface and in the surface layer of the ground material.

Opis:
Małżeństwo jest sakramentem, jeśli jest zawarte pomiędzy dwiema osobami ochrzczonymi. Czy zatem oznacza to, że tak naprawdę nie jest istotne, w jakiej dyspozycji dane osoby zawierają małżeństwo i że w ogóle fakt praktykowania wiary nie ma jakiegokolwiek znaczenia w odniesieniu do ważności zawieranego małżeństwa? Współczesne orzecznictwo dość jednoznacznie określa sakramentalność małżeństwa w oderwaniu od faktu posiadania wiary, jak i intencji celebrowania małżeństwa sakramentalnego. Oczywiście z punktu widzenia duszpasterskiego pogłębienie wiary winno być stawiane jako warunek zawarcia małżeństwa. Co więcej, brak wiary z pewnością uniemożliwia pełne korzystanie z owoców sakramentu, co staje się niewątpliwym problemem duszpasterskim. Czy jednak brak wiary po stronie kontrahenta uniemożliwia ważne zawarcie przez niego małżeństwa? Moim zdaniem nie uniemożliwia, choć nie można takiej sytuacji wykluczyć w przypadku odrzucenia godności sakramentalnej małżeństwa.
Marriage is a sacrament when it is entered into between two baptized persons. Does this mean, then, that it does not really matter in what disposition a given person gets married and that the fact of practicing the faith has no meaning whatsoever in relation to the validity of a marriage? Contemporary jurisprudence quite clearly defines the sacramentality of marriage in isolation from the fact of having faith and the intention to celebrate a sacramental marriage. Of course, from a pastoral point of view, deepening the faith should be a condition for contracting marriage. Moreover, a lack of faith certainly prevents the full enjoyment of the fruits of the sacrament, which becomes an unquestionable pastoral problem. However, does the lack of faith on the part of the contractor prevent him from entering into a valid marriage and, most importantly, is it possible to exclude the sacramentality of marriage with regard to its dignity in the case of a person deprived of the grace of faith? This article is an attempt to answer these questions.

W pracy zaprezentowano oryginalna, metodę i aparaturę badawczą do badania defektów magnetycznych i mechanicznych w prętach magnetycznych wytworzonych z ferrytu stronni. Konieczność badań wynika z konieczności uwzględniania w wielu konstrukcjach łącznie właściwości mechanicznych i magnetycznych. Procesy technologiczne (np. skrawanie, magnesowanie), wady materiałowe, warunki eksploatacyjne (obciążenia statyczne i cykliczne), błędy w obsłudze, itp. skutkują defektami, których detekcja i ilościowa ocena jest niezbędna. Dlatego zbudowano oryginalny szybki skaner o dużej rozdzielczości z głowicą pomiarową zawierającą sondę Halla do równoczesnych quasipunktowych pomiarów Hx, Hy, Kz. Zastosowano zaawansowaną aparaturę elektroniczną do akwizycji, przetwarzania, sterowania oraz wizualizacji wyników. Opracowano też dedykowane oprogramowanie. Przydatność metody i aparatury wykazano badając walki referencyjne (bez uszkodzeń) oraz walki z programowanymi defektami magnetycznymi i mechanicznymi.
The paper presents original method and measurement devices for examination of magnetic and mechanical defects in rods made up from strontium ferrite. In many constructions it is necessary to carry out examinations of mechanical and magnetic properties simultaneously. Technological processes (for example cutting, magnetisation), material faults, conditions of exploitation (static and cyclic loads), errors in maintenance entail defects and the quantitative analysis of them is unavoidable The original fast, high resolution scanner with Hall probe has been constructed to measure H*. H,.. H,.. Advanced electronic devices have been applied for acquisition, processing and visualisation of results. The corresponding software has been also constructed. Effectiveness of a method and devices have been tested for the reference shafts as well for shafts with mechanical and magnetic defects.

Ammunition fired from large calibre gun chambers may experience accelerations in the regions of 150,000 m s-2 and as a result are subjected to considerable force during the process of set back. During firing some of the energy may be transferred to the filling and any defects present in the shell filling can lead to local hotspots which may result in premature ignition of the warhead. A potential source of defects is the application of excessive heat to the ammunition either by storage in a hot environment or accidentally by leaving the ammunition in a hot gun scenario in the chamber of the gun. A hot gun scenario can be defined as arising after 50 rounds or more have been fired in a four hour period. In this scenario the filling may easily exceed the qualification temperature with two possible accidents occurring. Cook-off of the filling can result in spontaneous firing of the round or, when correctly initiated, the round may premature in the gun barrel both of which may have catastrophic results. Currently there is no standard test to evaluate the behaviour of composition B (60% RDX: 40% TNT) filled ammunition subjected to a hot gun scenario. Because of its low melting point 80 °C the liquid TNT can separate from the RDX increasing its sensitivity and increasing the probability of an in bore premature when fired. This paper describes the design and operation of a small scale simulator for set back forces and its use to investigate the conditions under which composition B fillings, subjected to a hot gun scenario, could initiate. Samples of composition B were subjected to thermal treatments to mimic hot gun conditions and then subjected to simulated set back conditions and the level of impact energy required for initiation determined. This was compared with the level for untreated samples and a possible evaluation of current hot gun procedures undertaken. The indications are that the process can be cost effective in simulating set back induced premature ignitions.

As part of work is short description of basic surgical instruments, the influence of many factors to their liveliness and report from carried research. The aim of work is to recognise the group of chosen tools, to analyze their macrostructure and microstructure, to determine technological defects and their impact on the material damage. The research includes observations with the naked eye and the metallographic structural analysis.

In recent years, ingredients, also known as additives, which appreciably affect the quality of the casting surface, come to the fore. Additives - lower the temperature at which SiO2 (major component of silica sand) begins to soften and create a melt on the surface of the grains, increase the reactivity and decrease the temperature of a transition to tridimite and cristobalit. These passages support the increase of volume of subsurface sand stress and the tension for the formation of burrs and other casting defects on the surface of the core or the mold. Nowadays, as a great emphasis is put on the quality of the casts, it is therefore necessary to pay attention to these additives, which can effectively reduce the labor intensity in the production of castings and ensure a quality surface of castings.

Wstęp. Wady postawy są obecnie problemem zdrowotnym i społecznym. Obserwujemy, coraz większą liczbę nieprawidłowości w rozwoju narządu ruchu i statyki ciała u dzieci i młodzieży. Wzrastający z roku na rok procent dzieci z wadami postawy, zmusza do szerszego zainteresowania się tą problematyką. Cel. Celem pracy było przedstawienie charakterystyki wad postawy u dzieci i działań pielęgniarki w zakresie ich prewencji. Materiał i metody. Metoda zastosowana w pracy to analiza literatury. Przegląd. Profilaktyka i edukacja zdrowotna w zakresie wad postawy jest najważniejsza w walce z błędami w zachowaniu zdrowotnym i zakorzenionymi nawykami. Najbardziej podatną na edukację jest grupa dzieci i młodzieży. Okres wzrastania jako najbardziej plastyczny w rozwoju, jest bardzo podatny na naukę prawidłowych wzorców i korektę nieprawidłowości postawy. Rodzina, przedszkole, szkoła to środowiska, które wywierają duży wpływ na tworzenie i utrwalanie różnych zachowań. Wnioski. Postawy życiowe i zachowanie zdrowotne kształtujące się w tym okresie sprawiają, że promowanie zdrowia poprzez edukację zdrowotną kierowaną do dzieci i młodzieży jest bardzo istotnym elementem pracy pielęgniarki.
Introduction. Posture defects are currently a health and social problem. We observe an increasing number of abnormalities in the development of the musculoskeletal system and body statics in children and adolescents. The percentage of children with posture defects, which is increasing year by year, forces a wider interest in this issue. Aim. The aim of the study was to present the characteristics of postural defects in children and the nurse's activities in the field of their prevention. Material and methods. The method used in the work is the analysis of literature. Overview. Prevention and health education in the field of posture defects is the most important in the fight against errors in health behaviour and ingrained habits. The group of children and youth is the most susceptible to education. The period of growth as the most plastic in development is very susceptible to learning the correct patterns and correction of posture abnormalities. Family, kindergarten, school are environments that have a large impact on the creation and consolidation of various behaviours. Conclusions. Life attitudes and health behaviours shaped during this period make promoting health through health education addressed to children and adolescents a very important element of the nurse's work.

The influence of isothermal annealing on the magnetisation process in strong magnetic fields of the amorphous Fe61Co10Y8Ni1B20 alloy ribbons was investigated. Samples in the form of ribbons were produced by rapid quenching of liquid alloy on a rotating copper wheel. In order to study the relaxation process, the investigated Fe61Co10Y8Ni1B20 samples were subjected to annealing below the crystallisation temperature at 700 K for 1 h and then at 770 K for 3.5 h. The structure of the samples was examined by X-ray diffraction measurements (XRD). It was found, that all of measured samples in the as-cast state and after thermal treatment, were amorphous. On the basis of virgin magnetisation curve analysis, the type, size and density of structural defects occurring in the investigated samples were determined. It was found that after the first stage of annealing, decay of linear defects (pseudo-dislocation dipoles) into smaller, more thermodynamically stable, point defects occurs. The presence of point like defects was also confirmed after the second stage of annealing.
W pracy badano wpływ izotermicznego wygrzewania na proces magnesowania w silnych polach magnetycznych amorficznego stopu Fe61Co10Y8Ni1B20 w postaci taśmy. Materiał do badań wytworzono metodą szybkiego chłodzenia ciekłego stopu na miedzianym wirującym bębnie. Próbki stopu Fe61Co10Y8Ni1B20 poddano dwukrotnemu wygrzewaniu: 1) w temperaturze 700 K przez 1 godzinę. 2) w temperaturze 770 K przez 3,5 godziny. Strukturę taśm w stanie po zestaleniu i po obróbce termicznej badano za pomocą dyfraktometru rentgenowskiego. Wyniki analizy rentgenowskiej wykazały, że badane taśmy były w pełni amorficzne. Pomiar krzywych M-H wykonano za pomocą magnetometru wibracyjnego. Na podstawie analizy krzywych pierwotnego namagnesowania określono rodzaj, wielkość i gęstość defektów strukturalnych występujących w badanej taśmie. Na ich podstawie stwierdzono, że po pierwszym etapie wygrzewania nastąpił rozpad defektów liniowych (pseudodyslokacyjnych dipoli) na mniejsze bardziej stabilne termodynamicznie defekty punktowe, których obecność stwierdzono również po drugim etapie wygrzewania.

The formation process of one of the most common casting defects, a shrinkage depression concerned to shrinkage cavity, was studied. The methodology, device and the experimental set up were developed to study the shrinkage cavity growth. The kinetics of vacuum formation in the cavity of the spherical casting of Al-Si-Mg alloy at its solidification in the sand-and-clay form was investigated. The data were analysed taking in mind the temperature variation in the centre of crystallizing casting. The causes of the shrinkage depression in castings were clarified. It was determined that atmospheric pressure leads to the retraction and curvature of metal layer on the surface of the casting with lower strength below which the shrinkage cavity is formed. To avoid such defects it was recommended to use the external or internal chills, feeders and other known technological methods. Deep shrinkage cavities inside the castings could be removed with an air flow through a thin tubular needle of austenitic steels for medical injections.

The aim of the research was to establish whether the children between the ages of 7 and 10 years, attending Grades 1-4 of music oriented and general education classes, suffered from posture defects. The research material included 214 children aged 7-11 of the Primary School Complex No. 2 in Szczecin. There were 101 children examined in the music oriented classes, including 51 (50,5 %) girls and 50 (49,5 %) boys. In the school year 2006/2007, the research was conducted twice, including the same research material – first in September 2006, second in June 2007 accordingly. Body surface topography method, based on the technique of spatial photogrammetry, was used to evaluate body posture. The research included the analysis of thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis angle in the sagittal plane. The results of independent research showed that proper posture in the sagittal plane was present in 62% girls and 71% boys from music oriented classes, as well as 73% and 75% in controls accordingly. Rounded back was characteristic for 31% girls and 25% boys from music oriented classes, as well as 14% and 16% in controls. Flat back was visible in 6% female musicians and 12% controls, with 4% boys and 13% controls accordingly. Based on the conducted research, the following results were formulated: 1. Physiological spinal curvatures of children in music oriented classes were more serious in comparison with peer controls. 2. Posture defects were more common in girls in music oriented classes, compared to controls. 3. The incidence of posture defects in boys in music oriented classes and controls was parallel. 4. The national curriculum program of study for PE in music oriented classes should be modified and complemented with exercises strengthening trunk muscles and increasing the range of motion in shoulder and pelvic girdles.

Współczesne wtryskarki są skomplikowanymi, wielofunkcyjnymi maszynami do przetwórstwa tworzyw sztucznych. Najczęstszą przyczyną nieoczekiwanych przerw w produkcji jest awaryjność maszyn. W artykule zaprezentowano sposób prowadzenia analizy awaryjności wtryskarek na etapie użytkowania maszyny. Zidentyfikowane zostały występujące awarie, następnie zostały one zhierarchizowane w oparciu o kryterium częstotliwości występowania oraz ustalono przyczyny ich powstawania.
Contemporary injection molding machines are complex multifunctional plastic processing machines. The most common cause of unexpected break in production is the failure of machines. The article presents the method of analyzing the failure rate of injection molding machines during the machine use stage. Identified occurrence of accidents, then they were hierarchical based on the frequency of occurrence and the cause of their occurrence.

In this work, the results of tests on castings made from unalloyed cast steel, which was repaired using surface padding, have been presented. The purpose of the work was to present the impact of the application of welding technology on the microstructure of cast steels and the dangers related to it. The appearance of a very adverse microstructure was found in the area where the padding occurred. In the light of the presented research, it seems that it is necessary to apply normalizing annealing after the padding of a cast, which will result in a more uniform and fine microstructure of the material being obtained. As a consequence, this will prevent possible operating damage from occurring in the finished products.

Opis:
In this paper, the upper bound method has been used in analysis of the flat rolling process and prediction of internal defects for a strain-hardening material. The arc of contact has been replaced by a chord. The inlet shear boundary of the deformation zone has been assumed as an exponential curve and the boundary at the exit has been assumed as a cylindrical surface. A kinematically admissible velocity field has been proposed and internal, shear and frictional power terms have been derived. By minimizing the total power with respect to the neutral point position and the shape of the inlet shear boundary, the rolling torque has been determined. A criterion has been presented to predict the occurrence of the internal defects for given rolling conditions. Comparison of the analytically developed approach for rolling torque and internal defects with published theoretical and experimental data shows generally good agreement.

Opis:
Casting is the manufacturing process of pouring the hot liquiduos state metal in to the mold cavity and then allowed it to solidify to obtain the final casting. There are many defects are found in the casting components during the inspection. Some defects are tolerated while others are required to repair. Otherwise the casting component is to be eliminated due to the poor quality level. The aim of the non-destructive inspection is to determine, the flaws, discontinuities on the material, and characteristics of the material. Based on the results by non-destructive evaluation the personnel take the decision on the material object is to be accepted or not as per the criteria. In this paper the hardness attribute of the case hardened AISI 4130 steel samples are studied using Vickers Hardness test. Then the hardness property is correlated with the Eddy Current Testing method. According to the acceptance criterion the suitability of the material is analyzed for the corresponding application or not. In this paper Eddy Current Testing response is analyzed for the AISI 4130 samples to determine the mechanical properties of the material. The main objective of the paper is to investigate the effect of the hardness property of the casting material during various case depth obtained via case hardening process. This technique is effective and best practice for the heat treatment shop floors. By this technique the results are investigated based on the cracks and microstructure of the casting material.
