    In this paper, we shall estimate the growth order of the n-th derivative Cauchy integrals at a point in terms of the distance between the point and the boundary of the domain. By using the estimate, we shall generalize Plemelj–Sokthoski theorem. We also consider the boundary behavior of generalized Cauchy integrals on compact bordered Riemann surfaces.

    Opis:
    The Cauchy integral method has been applied to derive exact and closed expressions for Goursat's functions for the first and second fundamental problems for an infinite thermoelastic plate weakened by a hole having arbitrary shape. The plate considered is conformally mapped to the area of the right half-plane. Many previous discussions of various authors can be considered as special cases of this work. The shape of the hole being an ellipse, a crescent, a triangle, or a cut having the shape of a circular arc are included as special cases.

    Opis:
    For a deeply-buried non-circular tunnel, abnormal stress and displacement arise in the region far away from the excavation boundary when the Cauchy integral method is applied. It is found that the calculation error is induced by a polynomial in the analytical function. An improved method is proposed by expanding the polynomial as a power series. The improved method is suitable for calculating the stress and displacement in the whole surrounding rock. The results obtained by the improved method are in good agreement with the numerical results of ANSYS, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

    Autorzy artykułu dokonują analizy metody zastosowanej przez Cauchy’ego i Lagrange’a dla uzyskania całki równania ruchu Eulera. Na tej podstawie stawiają hipotezę, że całka Cauchy’ego i Lagrange’a nie jest jedyną całką równania ruchu Eulera. Autorzy artykułu przedstawiają krótką procedurę wykorzystującą twierdzenie Schwarza, której zastosowanie doprowadziło do uzyskania rozwiązania równania ruchu Eulera składającego się z dwóch całek. Przedstawione przez autorów rozwiązanie problemu całkowania równania ruchu Eulera stanowi w istocie przypadek jakościowo inny, bo o większym stopniu ogólności.
    The authors analyse the method used by Cauchy and Lagrange to obtain the integral of the Euler equation of motion. The authors hypothesize that the Cauchy and Lagrange integral is not the only integral of the Euler equation of motion. The authors present a brief procedure using the Schwarz theorem, which led to asolution of the Euler equation of motion consisting of two integrals. The solution presented by the authors is probably the most general and comprehensive solution to the problem of the integration of the Euler equation of motion.

    The magnetoelectroelastic analysis of two bonded dissimilar piezo-electro-magneto-elastic ceramics with a crack perpendicular to and terminating at the interface is made. By using the Fourier integral transform (in perpendicular directions in each materials), the mixed boundary conditions and continuity conditions are transformed to a singular integral equation with generalized Cauchy kernel, the solution of which has been well studied, and classical methods are directly applicable here to obtain the closed form solution. The results are presented for a permeable crack under anti-plane shear loading and in-plane electric and magnetic loadings, as prescribed electric displacement and magnetic inductions or electric and magnetic fields. The results indicate that the magnetoelectroelastic field near the crack tip in the homogeneous PEMO- elastic ceramic is dominated by a traditional inverse square-root singularity, while the coupled field near the crack tip at the interface exhibits the singularity of the power law r--α , r being the distance from the interface crack tip and α depending on the material constants of a bimaterial. In particular, electric and magnetic fields have no singularity at the crack tip in a homogeneous solid, whereas they are singular around the interface crack tip. Numerical results are given graphically to show the effects of the material properties on the singularity order, field intensity factors and energy release rates. The results presented in this paper should have potential applications to the design of multilayered magnetoelectroelastic structures.

    We prove an existence theorem for the equation x' = f(t,xₜ), x(Θ) = φ(Θ), where xₜ(Θ) = x(t+Θ), for -r ≤ Θ < 0, t ∈ Iₐ, Iₐ = [0,a], a ∈ R₊ in a Banach space, using the Henstock-Kurzweil-Pettis integral and its properties. The requirements on the function f are not too restrictive: scalar measurability and weak sequential continuity with respect to the second variable. Moreover, we suppose that the function f satisfies some conditions expressed in terms of the measure of weak noncompactness.

    Opis:
    Coal is the main energy source in China, but its underground mining causes surface subsidence, chich seriously damages the ecological and living environments. How to calculate subsidence accurately is a core issue in evaluating mining damage. At present, the most commonly used method of calculation is the Probability Integral Method (PIM), based on a normal distribution. However, this method has limitations in thick topsoil (thickness > 100 m), in that the extent of the calculated boundary of the subsidence basin is smaller than its real extent, and this has an undoubted impact on the accurate assessment of the extent of mining damage. Therefore, this paper introduces a calculation model for surface subsidence based on a Cauchy distribution for thick topsoil conditions. This not only improves the accuracy of calculation at the subsidence basin boundary, but also provides a universal method for the calculation of surface subsidence.

    The paper discusses the existence of solutions for Cauchy-type problem of fractional order in the space of Lebesgue integrable functions on bounded interval. Some qualitative properties of solutions are presented such as monotonicity, uniqueness and continuous dependence on the initial data. The main tools used are measure of weak (strong) noncompactness, Darbo fixed point theorem and fractional calculus.
