The article analyses attitude of Bolshevik congresses of RCP(b) and CP(b)U to agricultural question in 1918 – 1923. It marks out the main features of Bolshevik policy as for peasantry that caused forming of totalitarian regime: ignoring of the entire social class interests, absence of scientific explanation and party discussion of the ways as for solving agricultural question, declarative character of Bolshevik policy especially in Ukraine. RCP(b) did not develop their own program of solving peasant question when rising to power in 1917. RCP(b) could determine its position only at the beginning of 1919 and in 1923. Ukrainian Bolsheviks stayed between the necessity to implement principles of proletarian internationalism and the reaction of merely Ukrainian environment to it. The peculiarity of CP(b)U activity was in earlier appeal to peasant question in 1918, but Ukrainian Bolsheviks underestimated the potential of peasants movement. Alexander Shumskyi, Yakov Yakovlev, Volodymir Zatonskyi and Andrey Bubnov supported Ukrainian peculiarities in agricultural question.
В статье анализируется отношение большевистских съездов РКП(б) и КП(б)у к крестьянскому вопросу в 1918 – 1923 гг. Определены основные черты большевистской политики в отношении крестьянства, которые содействовали формированию тоталитарного режима: игнорирование интересов целого общественного класса, отсутствие научного обоснования и партийного обсуждения путей решения крестьянского вопроса, декларативный характер большевистской политики, особенно на Украине. Собственной программы решения крестьянского вопроса после установления власти в 1917 г. РКП(б) не разработала и свою позицию смогла определить только в начале 1919 г. и в 1923 г. Украинские большевики находились между необходимостью осуществлять принципы пролетарского интернационализма и реакцией на них украинского населения. Особенностью деятельности КП(б)У было более раннее обращение к крестьянскому вопросу в 1918 г., однако потенциал крестьянского движения украинские большевики недооценили. Украинские особенности в крестьянском вопросе защищали Александр Шумский, Яков Яковлев, Владимир Затонский, Андрей Бубнов.

ZnO (0001) layers on sapphire (0001) substrates were fabricated by means of high temperature high vacuum magnetron sputtering. The layers were deposited onto a thin MgO buffer and a low temperature ZnO nucleation layer, which is a technology commonly used in MBE ZnO growth. This paper reports on using this technology in the sputtering regime.

Alphaviruses belong to the worldwide distributed Togaviridae family and Alphavirus genus. They are spherical, enveloped, single-stranded RNA arthropodborne viruses. Alphaviruses are mostly transmitted by mosquitoes (Aedes spp. and Anopheles spp.) and are geographically distributed in restricted areas where appropriate vectors are present (Fig.1.). The most recognized members of this genus are Sindbis (SINV), Semliki Forest (SFV), Venezuelan equine encephalitis (VEEV), Ross River (RRV), and Chikungunya (CHIKV) viruses. Alphaviruses are infection agents for humans and many animals. Clinically, most human infections with arthritogenic alphaviruses are associated with symptoms such as fever, headache, joint pain, rash, chronic arthritis, and encephalitis. Major events during the alphaviral infection are virus entry, replication, assembly, and budding of new virions. Alphaviral RNA encodes four nonstructural and five structural proteins. Nonstructural proteins are mainly involved in the replication process and virus pathogenesis, while structural proteins form new virions. Both groups of viral proteins are produced as single polyproteins which undergo autoproteolytic maturation. This process is carried out by the two viral proteases, cysteine protease nsP4 and C protein serine protease (CP), and is considered to be critical for virus replication. The capsid protease CP is a chymotrypsin-like serine protease with the catalytic triad including His145, Asp167, and Ser219. What is important, after a suicidal autoproteolytic event the side chain of Trp267 remains bound in a hydrophobic S1 pocket thus inhibiting further trans-proteolytic activity. Alphaviral capsid protein undergoes a single proteolytic reaction before maturation and then, after selfinactivation, it assembles to form a viral capsid shell. Inhibitors of the capsid protease have significant antiviral activity. Compounds belonging to this group can be good candidates for new antiviral drugs.

Stały rozwój terytorialny miast jest drugim, obok zmiany klimatu, czynnikiem pociągającym za sobą istotne pogorszenie jakości ich środowiska. Tendencji tej ulega m.in. klimat lokalny obszarów zurbanizowanych, co przejawia się przede wszystkim wzrostem temperatury powietrza oraz zakłóceniem reżimu opadowego. Zmiany klimatu mają duży wpływ na sektor budownictwa zarówno na etapie powstawania, jak i eksploatacji inwestycji oraz – poprzez coraz trudniejsze warunki mikro-i bioklimatyczne – na warunki życia mieszkańców miast. W artykule przedstawiono historyczny, aktualny i prognozowany stan klimatu w Warszawie rozpoznany z punktu widzenia oddziaływania na budownictwo (w kontekście tzw. Umownych Kategorii Klimatu) i komfort życia mieszkańców obszarów zurbanizowanych. Do analiz wykorzystano wyniki obserwacji prowadzonych na stacji meteorologicznej Warszawa–Okęcie w okresie 1971-2020 oraz symulacji dla okresu 2021-2070 według scenariuszy RCP4.5 i RCP8.5, udostępnione w bazie danych METEONORM 8.0. Zarówno historyczne, jak i prognozowane cechy klimatu Warszawy wskazują, że największe zmiany dotyczą warunków termicznych. Wartości temperatury powietrza od wielu lat systematycznie wzrastają (średnio o około 0,5°C/10 lat) i proces ten będzie trwał w przyszłości. Wyraźnie mniejsze zmiany mają miejsce w przypadku reżimu opadowego i wiatrowego. Obserwowana zmiana klimatu stanowi duże wyzwanie dla mieszkańców i władz miasta oraz architektów i urbanistów. Artykuł zawiera kilka propozycji rozwiązania tych problemów poprzez zmiany w zagospodarowaniu przestrzeni miejskich.
The constant territorial development of cities is the second factor, apart from climate change, which entails a significant deterioration in the quality of their environment. This tendency is followed by the local climate of urbanized areas, which is manifested primarily by the increase in air temperature and the disruption of the precipitation regime. Climate change has a major impact on the construction sector, both at the stage of planning and operation of investments, and – trough increasingly difficult micro- and bioclimatic conditions – on the living conditions of city dwellers. The article presents the historical, current and projected state of the climate in Warsaw recognized from the point of view of its impact on construction (through analysis of so-called Conventional Climate Categories) and on the comfort of life of the residents of urban areas. The results of observations conducted at the Warszawa–Okęcie meteorological station in the period 1971-2020 and simulations for the period 2021-2070 according to the RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios, available in the METEONORM 8.0 database, were used for the analysis of so-called Conventional Climate Categories as well as their influence on micro- and bioclimatic conditions and on the living conditions of city dwellers. Both historical and projected features of Warsaw’s climate indicate that the greatest changes concern thermal conditions. Air temperature values have been steadily increasing for many years (on average by about 0.5°C/10 years) and this process will continue in the future. Significantly smaller changes take place in the case of precipitation and wind regimes. The observed climate changes pose a great challenge for the inhabitants and city authorities, as well as for architects and urban planners. The article contains several proposals for solving these problems through changes in the development of urban spaces.

The aim of this research was to fabricate zinc oxide/cuprous(I) oxide-based heterojunction solar cells with the use of electrodeposition methods, and further to investigate their structures and photovoltaic properties. The ZnO and Cu₂O were used as n- and p-type semiconductors, respectively, to fabricate photovoltaic devices based on Ag/ZnO/Cu₂O/Cu(100) heterojunction structures. The crystallite sizes of ZnO and Cu₂O were determined to be 25.4(3) nm and 69.8(6) nm, respectively. It was pointed out that efficiencies of the solar cells can be gradually adjusted, using different thicknesses of Cu₂O layers, to achieve values as high as 2.7%. The standard diode model and high device performance provide new insights into the issue, outlining guidelines for high-performance solar cells and suggesting that a metal-n-type semiconductor-p-type semiconductor nanostructure-crystal layered, sandwiched-type architecture is a promising platform: to boost the efficiency.

In the present paper the phase transformations occurring in hot worked and heat-treated Ni-rich NiTi shape memory alloy were studied using X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and bend and free recovery measurements. Based on conducted measurements it can be seen that in the studied alloy two-step B2 ↔ R ↔ B19' phase transitions occurred. Due to the fact that during heating the phase transition B2 → R and R → B19' occurs in a very narrow temperature range and differential scanning calorimetry peaks overlap additional X-ray diffraction measurements were performed. Obtained characteristic temperatures from applied different experimental methods are in good agreement. The optimum heat-treatment was selected to obtain rods with a shape recovery temperature A_{f} below 37°C to prepare prototypes of medical implants activated by patients body heat.

The AuCl nanocrystals embedded in NaCl single crystals are elaborated using the Czochralski method. The X-ray diffraction has confirmed the formation of the AuCl nanocrystals with a tetragonal structure inside the NaCl matrix. The average radius of the AuCl nanocrystals is estimated using the Scherrer formula.

Opis:
Bi₅Ti₃FeO₁₅ ceramics belongs to multiferroic class of materials. In this work it was prepared by solid-state sintering method and investigated by X-ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and magnetoelectric effect measurements. As it was proved by X-ray diffraction studies the single-phase Bi₅Ti₃FeO₁₅ compound was obtained. The Mössbauer investigations revealed paramagnetic character of the compound at room temperature as well as at 80 K. Magnetoelectric measurements were carried out at room temperature using lock-in dynamic method and they proved presence of magnetoelectric coupling in this material. Additional magnetoelectric studies were carried out after subsequent electric poling of the sample. It was found that the maximum value of the coupling coefficient was almost twice bigger than in the case without the initial poling and reached a value of $α_{ME}$ ≈ 20.7 mV cm⁻¹ Oe⁻¹.

Glass-ceramic materials were developed from gabbro including MgO and $Al_2O_3$ additives. Heat treatments for phase transformation from glassy matrix to glass-ceramic were carried out at 1000C for 3 h. X-ray diffraction studies conducted on the glass-ceramic samples revealed that the phases formed in the glass-ceramics were cordierite, anorthite, diopsitic augite, forsterite and andesine. Glass and glass-ceramic materials were tested for wear properties against a harder alumina counterface using by a ball-on-disc tribometer at dry sliding condition. Wear tests were realized under the loads of 2.5, 5, and 7.5 N and at the sliding speeds of 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3 m/s. Wear rate of the glass and glass-ceramics ranged from 7.324 × $10^{-7}$ and 2.150 × $10^{-3}$-9.971 × $10^{-7}$ and 4.982 × $10^{-5} mm^3$/m, respectively. It was shown that the crystallization treatment caused the decrease of wear rate.

Технологии выращивания кукурузы на силос с применением методики UNIDO, позволяет определить возможности снижения химического воздействия на биомассу в процессе ее выращивания, уборки и подготовки к сбраживанию. Optical constants, dispersion and oscillator parameters of different thicknesses of amorphous $Ge_{25}Cd_5Se_{70}$ films have been deposited onto glass substrates using thermal evaporation technique. The optical constants have been investigated by optical spectrophotometry measurements. The straight forward analysis proposed by Swanepoel, which is based on the use of the extremes of the interference fringes has been used in order to derive the refractive index and the film thickness in μm range. The refractive index could be extrapolated by the Cauchy dispersion relationship over the whole spectral range, which extended from 400 to 2500 nm. It is observed that, refractive index n increases with the film thickness. The possible optical transition is found to be allowed indirect transition with energy gap increase from 1.915 to 1.975 eV with increasing film thickness. The dispersion of the refractive index is discussed in terms of the Wemple-DiDomenico single oscillator model. The interband oscillator wavelength, the average oscillator strength, and the optical conductivity were estimated for different thicknesses of amorphous $Ge_{25}Cd_5Se_{70}$ films.

Opis:
Contemporary cultures undergo the process of deep and diverse hybridization. Among numerous elements and factors of this process, relations between art and science play no- wadays very important role. I analyse this concept in the framework of the theory of the third culture, C.P. Snow put forward in his Rede lecture and publication in 1959. The third culture concept has been subsequently discussed and reinterpreted by John Brockman. In my analyse I return to Snow's idea of dialog as a basic form of the agency of merging arts and sciences. To explain how such processes have developed in the fields of contemporary artistic practices I present two case studies: the analyse of interactive Augmented Reality installations of Monika Fleischmann and Wolfgang Strauss in the context of ICT science; and the analyse of nanoart works of Victoria Vesna.

We present the first time-resolved pump-probe experiment performed at synchrotron SOLEIL at the CRISTAL diffraction beamline. The time-resolved setup will be used in the near future for sub-ns time resolution experiments. We studied spin state switching in a [TPA Fe(III) TCC] $PF_6$ single crystal as induced by a ≈6 ns laser pulse (1064 nm), by measuring the 3D diffraction volume of the 002 Bragg reflection as a function of time after excitation. The intensity profiles (rocking curves) are found to evolve at two characteristic timescales, namely hundreds of ns and few μs, exhibiting subtle profile changes and peak broadenings. Consistently with previous studies, we interpret these features as due to structural inhomogeneities related to laser-induced deformation wave propagation and heat diffusion, which both start from the absorbing sites.

Opis:
Fabrication of a Ti₂AlN MAX phase for contact applications to GaN-based devices is reported. Sample characterisation was done by means of X-ray diffraction and secondary ion mass spectroscopy. Successful Ti₂AlN monocrystalline growth was observed on GaN and Al₂O₃ substrates by annealing sputter-deposited Ti, Al and TiN layers in Ar flow at 600°C. The phase was not seen to grow when the layers were deposited on Si (111) or when the first layer on the substrate was TiN. N-type GaN samples with Ti₂AlN layers showed ohmic behaviour with contact resistivities in the range 10¯⁴ Ωcm².

Opis:
Thin layers X-ray diffraction study technique utilizing single-crystal X-ray diffractometer equipped with microfocus X-ray tube is described. It is shown that the layers of the tetra-fluorinated cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPcF₄), deposited by thermal evaporation in vacuum on a polished surface of the substrate (glass, quartz), have a highly oriented polycrystalline structure. All the crystallites have the (00l) plane oriented along the surface of the substrate. CoPcF₄ X-ray diffraction pattern indexing was conducted and unit cell parameters were determined. It is shown that crystal phase of both polycrystalline powder and thin layers of CoPcF₄ are isostructural to that of α -CoPc.
