Opis:
The robust H∞ control problem is considered for a class of uncertain neutral system involving both state and control input time-varying delays. The uncertainties under consideration are nonlinear time-varying parameter perturbations. The methodology is based on the Lyapunov functional combined with a unified LMI approach, and a new delay-dependent criterion is proposed to guarantee the stabilization and disturbance attenuation of systems. Moreover, a convex optimization approach is used to solve the robust H∞ control disturbance attenuation problem. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to show the validity of this paper. The simulation results reveal significant improvement over the recent results.

The performance of tightly coupled GNSS/INS integration is known to be better than that of loosely coupled GNSS/INS integration. However, if the time synchronization error occurs between the GNSS receiver and INS(Inertial Navigation System), the situation reverses. The performance of loosely coupled GNSS/INS integration and tightly coupled GNSS/INS integration is analyzed and compared due to time synchronization error by computer simulation.

Biomimetic mineralized composite scaffolds are widely used as natural bone substitute materials in tissue engineering by inducing and assembling bonelike apatite. In this study, the single lamellar structure of graphene oxide (GO) powder was prepared via an improved Hummers’ method. Methods: To better mimic natural bone, the collagen (COL)/Nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA)/graphene oxide (GO) composite material was prepared by simulated body fluid (SBF) method using COL/GO as a matrix template. Hydroxyapatite (HA) with calcium ion deficiency was achieved via biomimetic mineralization, and it had properties closer to those of natural bone than pure HA has. Results: The mineralized COL/nHA/GO composites exhibited loose porous structures, and the connectivity of the holes was good and thus beneficial to the exchange of nutrients and excreted metabolites. Conculsions: Antibacterial and MTT experiment confirmed that the COL/nHA/GO composite material had excellent antibacterial property and biocompatibility. Hence, these results strongly suggested the mineralized COL/nHA/GO composite is a good candidate biomaterial to be applied in bone tissue engineering.

Opis:
Methodology of electrical characterization of ISFETs has been described. It is based on a three-stage approach. First, electrical measurements of ISFET-like MOSFETs and extraction of basic parameters of the MOSFET compact model are performed. Next, mapping of the ISFET channel conductances and a number of other characteristic parameters is carried out using a semi-automatic testing setup. Finally, ISFET sensitivity to solution pH is evaluated. The methodology is applied to characterize ISFETs fabricated in the Institute of Electron Technology (IET).

With the wide use of AIS system in the world, especially in ports and the waters with heavy traffic, AIS message loss may be related to environmental conditions, obstacle, limitation of VHF technology and AIS network overload, thereby reducing the AIS signal successful reception rate. This paper selected typical AIS data received by Yagi and Omni antennas at the same time in specific waters, uses grid and AIS data recovery technology, establishes the AIS signal coverage model, analyzes signal reception rate of Yagi antenna and Omni antenna of AIS base station, and verified the superiority of Yagi antenna in AIS signal reception rate.

Detecting genetic association models between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in various disease-related genes can help to understand susceptibility to disease. Statistical tools have been widely used to detect significant genetic association models, according to their related statistical values, including odds ratio (OR), chi-square test (χ2), p-value, etc. However, the high number of computations entailed in such operations may limit the capacity of such statistical tools to detect high-order genetic associations. In this study, we propose lsGA algorithm, a genetic algorithm based on local search method, to detect significant genetic association models amongst large numbers of SNP combinations. We used two disease models to simulate the large data sets considering the minor allele frequency (MAF), number of SNPs, and number of samples. The three-order epistasis models were evaluated by chi-square test (χ2) to evaluate the significance (P-value < 0.05). Analysis results showed that lsGA provided higher chi-square test values than that of GA. Simple linear regression indicated that lsGA provides a significant advantage over GA, providing the highest β values and significant p-value.

Keichousaurus hui is a small pachypleurosaur (Reptilia: Sauropterygia) from the Triassic of China. Many specimens of various growth stages are known, making them ideal for ontogenetic research. We report 22 new specimens from the Middle Triassic of Xingyi (Guizhou, south China), and combined their skeletal measurements with those from 85 published specimens to analyze the ontogenetic trajectory of sexual dimorphism. An Exploratory Factor Analysis suggests that the largest factors behind morphological disparity within the species are body size followed by gender. Sexual dimorphism is most clearly reflected in selected skeletal ratios that are more pronounced in males than in females. We found that the relative length of femur to body size was useful in gender identification, in addition to three ratios that are traditionally used, namely a distal expansion of the humerus relative to its shaft, humerus length relative to body size, and humerus length relative to femur length. Two distinctive patterns exist in allometric changes of these four ratios. The distal expansion of the humerus is exceptional in that it is equally pronounced in juvenile and adult males and therefore must have been fully established during embryonic growth. The other three features are not pronounced at birth size and subsequently become pronounced during postembryonic growth. However, males and females already show different growth trajectories at birth size even in these three. Therefore, the fate of sexually dimorphic features seems to have already been set during embryonic growth in K. hui.

Defect structure of Czochralski grown silicon (Cz-Si) with nitrogen admixture, c_{N} ≤ 5 × $10^{14} cm^{-3}$ (Cz-Si:N), annealed for up to 10 h at 1270-1400 K under hydrostatic Ar pressure ≤ 1.1 GPa, was investigated by synchrotron diffraction topography (HASYLAB, Germany), X-ray reciprocal space mapping, and infrared spectroscopy. Extended defects were not detected in Cz-Si:N processed at up to 1270 K. Such defects were created, however, in Cz-Si:N pre-annealed at 923 K and next processed at 1270 K or in as-grown Cz-Si:N processed at 1400 K. Investigation of temperature-pressure effects in nitrogen-doped silicon contributes to the understanding of defect formation in Cz-Si:N.

In this paper, a novel switching-capacitor DC-DC voltage converter with higher efficiency will be presented. This circuit was designed by modifying the output stage of the conventional static charge-transfer-switch (CTS) charge pump in a cross-coupled configuration. In this design, a control scheme to overcome both the reverse charge sharing and the threshold drops in the CTS pump was also employed. In this study, the capacitances for all the pumping capacitors were selected the same as 0.1 μF. With this design, our circuit can operate with a clock rate up to 1 MHz. The performance of this circuit was first evaluated by simulation by HSPICE with the 0.35-μm technology of TSMC. The results showed that this circuit can pump the low input of 1.5V nearly 5 times at the output. The conversion gain can be around 95%. The performance of the real chip manufactured by TSMC was measured and will be compared with the simulation results.
